Kaishin Reveal and What It Means For You

Okay I need everyone to keep their shit together because I think this is being blown out of proportion. What follows is a quick rant about what the hell is going in the DCMK fandom and what is going on in fandom in general cause I don’t know why I’m seeing so many people lose their shit over something that was most likely going to happen followed by a quick lesson by a ‘fandom elder’ on how to ignore canon and make a ship your own. 

Spoilers ahead and whatnot. 

April 11th the DCMK 27 movie came out and information was revealed about how Kaito Kuroba and Shinichi Kudou are now cousins. Twitter lost its mind, Tumblr lost its mind, Discord servers are being created and now everyone is wondering what the hell should they do. 

I’m going to be honest, if you are a creator for KaiShin, please don’t delete your work. 

Either archive it or orphan it but please don’t delete it.

You put time and effort into this, into something you love, and just because the mangaka is so SO set in his ways of every single ship being friends to lovers does not mean you have to follow the same format. This doesn’t make you an incest shipper or whatever, it doesn’t make you a person who you don’t want to be, it’s just something that you had no idea of knowing was going to happen and I hope that you can look back at it fondly. 

Anyways, for those enjoying Kaishin on the sidelines all I’m going to say is Pick a Lane. 

Ignore Canon 

If you are an old time shipper then this may not be new for you. I mean Gosho literally had another ship that turned out to be cousins like at this point it’s ‘who is my cousin’ being played in the entire Detective Conan manga. You either already guessed it, are an active incest shipper (hi, hello, tis a me) or you are used to your favourites dying. This situation is no fucking different. 

Wolfwood is dead, in my head he is alive and well and treating his Plant husband right. 

Sora is missing, not in my head where he is kissing Roxas and Riku and Kairi and whoever else wants to get at the sunshine of the KH universe. 

Ben is dead, NOT IN MY REYLO FANFICTION. 

If you are a person who actively kept up with the manga or actively kept up with the show it is possible to ignore canon because they do not suddenly go super deep into being cousins and knowing about each other. They both don’t know if they are cousins or else the jig would be up immediately and the manga would be finished. You CAN ignore canon and if Kaishin is a ship that brings you joy and just serotonin production I implore you guys to choose this lane if you still want to enjoy Kaishin. 

It’s by far the healthiest option and teaches you how to curate your own fandom experience. 

Alternate Universes and You 

I was in the Hannibal fandom for a while and I clearly remember the ‘Hannibal is not a Cannibal’ tag on AO3. I thought it was hilarious but I would never dare to make fun of it because that is a prime example of CURATING YOUR FANDOM EXPERIENCE.

Or just make a quick blurb of how you mean this drawing/fic to be perceived. Again, this is your experience and you get to make the space you want to make. Again, if you want to delve into AU’s then that is up to you and I think it’s a pretty good lane for those who just feel weird about the whole reveal. 

Stepping Away

Your moral values are your own, people, and I am in no position or even want to judge them. If you feel uncomfortable about this now, see your love for Kaishin diminishing because of the reveal or just don’t see yourself shipping Kaishin in the future then you are more than capable of measuring your response and stepping away from the ship entirely for your own health. 

Is it going to be sad? Yes, but they are fictional and I recommend having an idea of what you have in your life outside of fandom that makes you happy that you can focus on as you go through this. College, work, whatever hobbies you may have taken up–hell put all your eggs into another ship that you know also brings you joy! 

Do not let this dictate your day or your month or your year. This is just fandom, you don’t have to make a big statement unless asked about it, you do not have to justify your decision to anybody, curate.your.fandom.experience. 

I’m going to end this with a repeat of what I just said. 

This is all fictional. We are playing in a fictional sandbox where we can all make whatever we want in any capacity and as long as it is tagged correctly then nobody’s lines have to be crossed. If you just started enjoying Kaishin, find out how you still want to enjoy it or step away. If you have shipped Kaishin for a while, do the same fucking thing! The east side of the fandom is having a field day with the movie, why can’t the west have some fun too?! 

I’m going to ship Kaishin (however all my reblogs will be moved to my other blog for incest-y stuff and just other content people may not vibe with in general) and hell I might just join the Kaishin Big Bang for the hell of it because I have been shipping this ship since I was 15 years old and I’m about to be 30 so….I’m staying fucking seated cause you aren’t getting me out of this chair, Aoyama, you aren’t getting me to ship Aoko with anyone other an Akako so suck on that.

The Witch King

This is not like, a coherent review or anything.

Yesterday I was just like possessed with anxiety nonstop the whole day and everything I did seemed to make it worse and i just like spun my wheels and I got some things done but mostly felt worse and worse and more and more stressed, due partly to external circumstances but largely, i think, to nothing in particular. And finally after dinner I was sitting on the couch comfortably and realized you know what, fuck it, I am not going to "try to write" and wind up refreshing tumblr and chatting on discord all night, not while I'm already fretting and stewing like this, i'm going to be miserable and probably get in a fight or something and i don't want that. Fuck it. So I went to the tab I already had open in my browser, which I'd had open for weeks but the time was never right, and I bought the kindle version of Witch King and read it right there in my browser, the whole way through, did not click away or put it down or move or do anything else, and you know what it was fantastic.

I'd read a preview and been like hm i don't know what this is about and read a couple of amazon reviews that were like this was really confusing, some of which concluded so i didn't like it and some of which concluded so i super liked it, and like, I've been a fan of Martha Wells since she put the Element of Fire up for free chapter by chapter on her Livejournal when the rights reverted to her in like 2006 or so, so I knew what I was going to get and also knew that I would not particularly know exactly what I was going to get until I got it, and I also knew I was going to enjoy the ride, but I hadn't wanted to read it in stolen or exhausted moments lest the "this is confusing" bits prove too much.

In the end I found it not in the slightest bit confusing, it was a very straightforward interspersed flashbacks storytelling technique that i thought suited the story beautifully (not to be spoilery but we join a character in medias res with an action scene and it's him trying to figure out who has betrayed him in a complicated political scenario, and in the process of unspooling this he has to revisit the site of where the complicated political scenario was first set up, some sixty (?) years earlier, so he's retracing his own steps and it's really well done I think, introducing new bits of history right as they're relevant to the current storyline-- and just fantastically done, not at all forced, completely natural and compelling, and no the reader isn't told anything they don't need to know but you do get everthing you need to know, there's no unneccessary coyness at all).

So anyway i loved that, and I hope there's a sequel planned but it stands alone just fine if not, I'm already figuring i'll alternate my rereads and do every other chapter each time, so I can do All The Backstory first, then All The Current Timeline story, and that's such a fun way to eke out many many many rereads of a story that like all of Wells' works I will reread until I have chunks of them memorized (anyone who has read my works surely has found whole undigested bits of hers bobbing around in there because I do this so much; I found the phrase weary past bearing in something of mine the other day and was like oh that's moon when ember first shows up i stole that whole emotion wholesale out of the third raksura book yes i did).

Little side notes: Love the aroace qpr vibes with Kai and Zeide, also sort of enjoy the lowkey genderfuckery that comes with a demon who has his own gender then inhabiting bodies that had different genders. Great magic system too, and I love that we first get introduced to how Kai's pain magic works as a like totally fait accompli chunk of didactic worldbuilding and then in a later chapter we get to see the flashback of him inventing it and understand why it works the way it does, that was also so well-wrapped-up.

Anyway-- Definitely recommend this one but probably it is best if you can do it like I did, in one big binge-read. It took me probably three hours and I was trying hard not to read it too fast.

Yeah. Anyway. People assume I'm a big reader. I was, as a kid. I am not now. This is the first new book I've read since probably the spring sometime. I don't casually read things i only read them if I'm going to add them to my Pantheon of Rereads, and that goes for fic too mostly.

First off, I'm Kaz, I also go by Wolfy, Fifty (from my old tumblr user/tag/whatever), and any variation of Peppermint. One friend who has tumblr as well calls me Pepsi on discord for shits and giggle and another knows my real name. Well, both know, it's just a 50/50 on what they use-

I am a sexuality questioning neurodivergent genderfluid creature, I don't care what pronouns are used for me as long as the person talking to me is comfortable with me. A friend of mine has full access to my tumblr. If you see kny/ds (Kimetsu No Yaiba/Demon Slayer) stuff reblogged on here, it's probably from her because at the time of making this, my current focus is cookie run.

On here I'll be most commonly showing myself as a kitsune with just, a chalk board on hand. Or, well, paw.

Okay, general blog rules and things to know.

No explicit nsfw. You can send asks being curious about certain habits of my ocs and draw whatever kinda art of them you want (do not touch ANY little ones I will block you so fast), but anything in regards to me myself or my friend, absolutely the fuck not.

Oc shipping is perfectly okay with me! Just don't ask about children and keep your fan children to yourself, please and thank you. I do not want asks about my ocs having children in my askbox.

I am VERY much a multishipper, if you see me shipping my ocs with my other ocs, do not assume you can't come in and make an offer of one of your own ocs. Do not be afraid to talk to me about shipping ocs or oc interactions in general.

As long as I'm credited, anyone is more than welcome to use my art for whatever the fuck they want. If it's something questionable, I'd prefer you keep it to yourself, but otherwise, go ahead. Although I'd be surprised if anyone wanted to use my art for anything-

The Resident Evil series! Leon Kennedy is hot and Ethan Winters was a good dad.

FNAF! Alongside other such mascot horror games- Poppy Playtime included (mostly just for Dogday.)

Mythology and folklore! Hopefully evident by the fact I chose a kitsune as my persona on here- also connects into D&D again to no one's surprise.

Regarding recommendations of your fic, are you more comfortable with people not ‘advertising’ it on tiktok and such? I know that the comments people make on there can be pretty intense. My point of asking this is, where is the line for you about how much you want your fic talked about outside of tumblr? I think we’ve all seen it before, fics blowing up online is a double edged sword, so I understand you wanting to keep in ‘contained’. I just love to gush about my current favorite reads, but I also don’t want to cause you any trouble.

okay i feel like this answer is gonna get long lol but. yeah generally speaking tldr is i'm not really comfortable w people posting abt my hp fics on tiktok anymore

and like. i don't wanna come off as like...ungrateful ig. like it does make me happy when people like my fics enough to recommend them + i appreciate the kind words + love etc but!! honestly if someone is wanting to let me know that they appreciate my writing the best way to do so is by commenting or sending me a message here, bc im not gonna see any tiktoks unless i go searching for them. and while i appreciate people reccing my fics i also like. have no desire for any sort of 'advertising' like i appreciate recs to the extent that they're someone telling me 'hey i loved ur writing!' i don't like. have a desire to grow an 'audience' or whatever so! that is not something i am asking anybody to help me do and if someone does decide to try and make my fics more popular i'm not really gonna be grateful bc like...i didn't ask for that lol.

and the two big reasons i'm specifically wary about tiktok are:

1. every time i have seen a fic go viral/gain popularity on tiktok there has been a simultaneous influx of hate, entitlement, and just general fuckery that has made the fic writer's life worse. so in this case, specifically with atwmd, i am 100% sure that if it did gain popularity via tiktok that i would get an influx of hate, especially bc it's like. a complex story with very fucked up characters lol. i mean just look at the people who take up arms bc atyd wolfstar is 'toxic' or whatever...i do not want 2 see what would happen if that crowd read my wolfstar in atwmd lmao

2. i have very mixed feelings abt writing hp fic in the first place and am trying to limit my personal contribution to hp's popularity. like. with ao3 people aren't going to be stumbling across hp fic unless they're already seeking it out; tumblr is, for the most part, a similar type of self-curated space where my hp fic pretty much remains limited to what are already hp-fic reading circles.

but bc of tiktok's algorithm, my fic could end up on the fyp's of people who aren't really interested in hp and pique their interest, drawing in new people to start engaging w hp fandom who otherwise wouldn't. and i don't really like the idea of that happening! i don't want the fic i'm writing to contribute to like. growing hp's popularity. i'd rather keep it in circles of people who are already choosing to engage w this content, rather than have it float into the lives of people who might otherwise not see it.

i also feel like. on ao3 anyone finding the fic is gonna be someone searching for like. those specific tags--someone who wants to read a story like the one i'm writing. on tumblr, the only people really hearing abt it r people who follow me + so have like....seen me talking abt the fic + are basically knowing what to expect. on tiktok, any posts tagged like #marauders or whatever could end up crossing paths w a bunch of people who specifically would not read this type of fic, and i do not want those people to read it and then get upset with me when the story isn't what they wanted (something else that i have seen happen to other writers). so that's kinda what i mean by the 'breaking containment' thing

anyway. i don't have any issue w people reccing my fics to like their friends or closed discord servers or whatever--spaces where like. u know the people ur reccing it to are people who would like the fic + not treat it like a product for consumption etc. and as stated previously i appreciate those sorts of recommendations bc it does mean a lot 2 me when someone likes my writing enough to want 2 share it!! there are just specific pitfalls w tiktok that i have grown uncomfortable w to the point that now anytime someone mentions seeing my fic over there and i go search up the vid, even if it's super sweet and has like lovely comments that make me smile and literally nothing negative i still get a kick of anxiety at the thought of who might see this video or what might happen if it goes viral.

i've accepted at this point that i can't control how people are going to respond to my writing once i've posted it on the internet; all i can do is say 'please don't do x with my fics' and hope people listen. but i'm not gonna like get mad at people for posting on tiktok or whatever bc obviously not everyone is gonna see this post or read my faq, and i don't want to send any hate towards people who are posting tiktoks abt my fics--like i don't need anyone defending me or whatever. usually those vids are just out of sight out of mind 4 me. but!! since u have taken the time 2 kindly ask (ty btw) this is like. the very long answer abt where i currently stand on tiktok lol

name : ashley pronouns :  she/her preference of communication : whatever ! im bad at communicating frequently anyways so tumblr ims are usually where i'm comfortable starting but if we talk a decent amount i can give you my discord - i will not give it to just anyone but also like. its not hard to find now that the #s are gone. i just feel bad because i have a tendency to read a message and forget that it's there and don't reply for awhile. most active muse :  merrick or stella ! i go through waves with different muses at different times but those two are without a doubt the most common ones i can pull out before the rest experience / how many years :  i started in the g lee rp circle playing the one and only rachel barbra berry for about four years before i started dipping into oc's. since then i have created a fucking small towns worth of characters and gravitate towards indie or small discord groups. sometimes i look at tumblr groups but discord is just easier so that i can rp on my phone. best experience : i genuinely can't tell you. i've had so many incredible experiences over the years - i've made amazing friends, met great people, and written some truly phenominal stories i couldn't have done without other people. rp pet peeves : i don't really have any lmao u do u and ill do me and we'll just mesh or we won't ??? fluff, angst, or smut : all. angst but like, light angst - dark themes i tend to keep off tumblr because i'm tired of the Correct Police throwing grenades at people. fluff is easy but gets kind of dull sometimes. i like writing smut but i do gotta be in the mood for it. a mixture and balance is what i care about most ! plots or memes : ???? why not both.gif ??? plotting is great and i'm always down for crying about our babes but also sometimes you just have to see where your characters go and how they interact - it's again all about having a healthy mixture for me ! also i love memes and they can help me when i'm stuck for a beginning interaction or just in a writing slump ( like rn ) long or short replies : depends on my mood and writing ability; i like really long replies because i have a tendency to put in a lot of exposition, but sometimes snappy one liners are easier to get out. most of what i do on discord is 'texting' so that also makes an impact. time to write : i would love to find this out for myself one day if you can find it lemme know are you like your muses : i think there's always a little piece of a writer in all their characters, whether it's a favorite color or song or attitude or something. so yes, i'm sure some of them are different facets of my personality, but that is something for an eventual therapist and i to tackle.

I spent several years heavily involved in a meat-space community that is very vulnerable to predators and harassers. And everyone knew that was a vulnerability, and so we talked about it a lot, but nothing ever really happened. The vast majority of our events were public - held in public spaces, no barriers to entry. There were no dues or memberships. There were no leaders. There were no enforcement mechanisms. Of course if there were private events (e.g. someone throwing a party at their own home), certain people might be excluded. And there were whisper networks, because there are always whisper networks. But I spent 9 months out of my first year in this group dating someone that I might have been warned about if those whisper networks were reliable and universal, and maybe some unpleasantness could have been avoided. There's no way to know. Anyway.

Online communities are very much the same. The main fandom spaces (like tumblr and Ao3) are open to anyone. People can behave however they like and there's nothing anyone can do about it on a community level. On an individual level, you can block/ignore/not look at tags/etc, but that's as limited as the whisper networks and exclusive parties. Someone new comes to the community, they don't know about any of that, or about the heavily moderated Discord servers, or whatever. They just see whatever is going on in the main space, and maybe they get hurt or they run off in disgust.

And I just don't know what to do about any of it. I don't want to encourage a culture where mass bullying is the preferred technique to get rid of "undesirables", and I don't even think that's actually effective. So when a community is decentralized and unmoderated, how do you handle it? How do you let new people know about the smaller, more private spaces where they might be more comfortable? How do you establish or modify community norms? How the fuck is any of this supposed to work?

Late Night Wanderer- One Shot 16- Stephen Strange x Wanda Maximoff

 A/N- Here it is! The sixteenth one shot. I think I received this prompt from tumblr but I am not so sure. Anyways here I am after a month. This one is for you and for all the amazing people who read, like and comment. Thank you so much!

It was a quiet night. Wanda could hear the occasional hooting of an owl and the distant horns of cars downstreet. The clock downstairs rang twice, indicating the late hour of 2 am. She tossed and turned, trying to get comfortable and ignoring the craving that had flared up all of a sudden. Wanda tried counting sheep, counting from 1 to 100 and 100 to 1 and even tried creating stories in her head hoping it would help her fall asleep. She sighed and carefully turned on her side, mindful of her belly. Wanda slightly tapped her belly and almost immediately she felt a flutter of kicks which made her smile. Next to her, Stephen was fast asleep, dead to the world. Wanda waited for a few more minutes until she could take no more.

  “Oh fuck it…” Wanda sat up slowly and as silently as she could with her somewhat huge belly. She got out of bed and slowly waddled to the door and down the stairs towards the kitchen, mindful of the creaking floorboards.

  She opened the fridge and sighed in bliss. There it was the remedy to her irritating craving! She took out the tub of chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup, a packet of oreos, whipped cream and some chocolate wafers. Wanda quickly whipped up a chocolate sundae in a big bowl and was going to take the first spoonful when she heard

  “You do realise you could get sick.”

Stephen felt Wanda get up and leave the bed but paid no heed to it thinking she had left for the washroom. But when some time passed and she didn’t get back to bed he grew concerned. He wiped the sleep out of his eyes and went out to investigate. He went towards the attached bathroom at the one end of their room to check on her. She was not there. Realisation dawned on Stephen as he realised where she was at the moment- raiding the kitchen. Wanda’s sweet tooth had increased tenfold due to the pregnancy. Stephen was happy to oblige her but the doctor in him was constantly at odds with this due the problems this could cause. He silently went downstairs and made his way to the dimly lit kitchen.

  There she was adding the whipped cream to a sundae, her expression gleeful. Wanda did not notice him as she was too engrossed with the ice cream. Stephen smiled at her and called out.

  “You do realise you could get sick.”

Wanda took the first spoonful of ice cream, nodding at Stephen, bliss taking over her as she tasted the ice cream. She munched at the pieces of crumbled oreos and smiled at Stephen.

  “You do know that it’s winter here and that you could get a cold eating ice cream at two in the morning.” Stephen walked in and sat beside her.

  “Yes love, I am aware. Your children were making it quite difficult for me.” Wanda smiled at him.

  “So would you like to share darling?”

  “Goodness Stephen. Let me have a couple of spoonfuls first!”

  “How much chocolate syrup did you put into this?” Stephen asked, seeing the copious amounts of syrup on the ice cream.

  “Enough. Less talking, more eating Stephen.”

  All was quiet for a few minutes as the couple shared the ice cream between them, Stephen occasionally grimacing at how sweet it was.

  “What fine parents we’ll make! Eating ice cream at two in the morning.” She giggled, her green eyes shining with mirth.

  “Don’t worry Wanda. We’ll be fine.”

10. anons

Imma be real honest--i don't use anon much anymore. anything i send, i usually just... send as is. mostly because tumblr is weird and will eat things without explanation so it makes more sense to not use anon so i have the option of following up and be like "hey, i sent you an ask. did tumblr eat it?" if i need to. if you send it on anon... kinda defeats the purpose of anon if you have to ask about it ( thus revealing yourself ). i'm also of the belief that if i send something to you, i want you to know it was me :) it's probably very obvious anyway but still.

i don't mind getting anons though! sometimes, stuff has to be sent through anon ( such as asks from rp sideblogs and such ) so i keep it on for myself purely 'cause of that.

19. smut

when i started this blog waaay back in... 2016/2017 (it's one of those years) i was not at all confident in my ability to write it at all. it was one of those things where i was like "oh i can't write it well and it's gonna be on the dash and everyone will see it and judge me" or some shit like that. i didn't even write it on skype ( which i still had at the time ) or discord ( i think i had one in 2016 but barely used it ) and just kinda like... alluded to the fact that some spicy things had happen.

fast forward a couple years and meeting my lovely, lovely friends on this hellsite and now I don't care as much about the insecurities i had in the beginning because i realized we are all struggling with the same things. if it's not a generalized "what the fuck is anatomy?", it's "how many ways can i describe this body part that doesn't make me want to toss my laptop out a window" or "did i write that already? lemme go back and see if i did." or "i don't have enough adjectives in my vocabulary or mental brain power behind my eyes to intricately write muse a gave muse b a sloppy toppy."

we're all struggling. we're all trying to make our muses sexy. it's okay. we can struggle together!

i can totally understand if someone is not comfortable with writing it for a myriad of reasons and honestly, more power to you. do what makes you comfortable and i honestly don't care if someone does or doesn't write it. or chooses to just write it in dms with specific people. if that's more your speed, then fly down that highway.

29. blocking

as someone who is a former "blocking is mean. what if i hurt their feelings? i can just ignore it" type of person, i will tell you that the block button is your best friend. some of the weirdest/worst people i have ever met have come from this site and after being here for just under a decade and going from one blog to another and just... settling here? i have no patience for nonsense that really gets on my nerves. i am here to mow ass and eat hay and if you disturb that, you need to go

that isn't to say that i use it liberally or that my block list is a mile long, though. it's more that i know the block button is a tool the site provides for you in order not see anyone you don't want to see or don't want to have in your space. and so, i am going to use that tool when i see fit and so should you. i have people i don't like and don't want interacting with my posts. i'm sure someone somewhere doesn't like me and doesn't want me interacting with their posts. block button fixes all that.

i also use blacklists to reinforce this little wall i have up so me? I am a happy camper here. i have my bubble, my space, and i'm content with that.

the only time i can say where it really sucks is when... someone i'm actively talking to and thinking i'm getting along with blocks me. it hurts and i get a little sad about it... but again, they're well within their right to do that. whatever is going on in their head and caused that, however, is another complicated story that's between them and god unless they wanna talk about it.

7 : what is your deepest joy about writing?

i guess like just the fact that i can build entire worlds. worlds with new languages, physics, entities, everything. i can completely go off of the rails with worlds and THEN make up a cool-ass main-character lifestyle for a person in that world! i can make people with personalities. i entertain the multiverse theory and i just love thinking about my worlds being real. it's cool!! also like with my own worlds and stuff i don't tell anyone the specifics of these places outside of tumblr/discord and sometimes my worlds are mine. i can see a fucking rollercoaster and imagine it in tiny workers! i can see a bag of wilbur chocolate and smile to myself knowing that almost 100 people have read what i had to say about this bag of chocolate. it's cool as hell!!! also the same thing will apply to songs, i can listen to a song after having made a new wip and go "holy shit, this reminds me of ___!"

ALSO another joy is adding personal easter eggs. (usually; if i can remember) every 1970'th word of my fic, i'll add a word referring to ff1970 because i am soo attached to fics i hate. also my phone password is 8866273 (oops) because spell that out with letters and it's tumoasd (another fic i hate but am attached to dearly)! i am soo attached to lil easter eggs that i and only a few other people can get.

OHHH and another one! this is kinda just for fanfic (as if i write anything else) but i love connecting things to the thing i'm writing for. my absolute FAVORITE one is SO SO SO cool like i will never let myself forget how cool it is is soot house. i won't go into detail about the fic cause yeah but lvjy's song one day fits SO WELL with it. "one day i know that you will be there, one day i'll focus on the future" is one that fits with sh!wilbur, but that's not the cool one at ALL

soot house is a hill house/bly manor au and a certain lil event happens on november 16th 1852 (year was COMPLETELY random) AND AND that happens to be on a TUESDAY. in one day, there's the line "'cause all i want to do is turn back time, at least a couple tuesdays, to before i found one life turn two" WHICH WAS COMPLETELY RANDOM I DID NOT SET THAT UP IN THE SLIGHTEST, IT JUST KINDA FELL INTO PLACE! and it's so cool bc in the fic wil is immortal and the line (while i know that's def not their intended purpose of that line) "before i found one life turn two" KINDAA FITS THAT bc that was the day he went immortal" and to think wil sung that song and he's the main character of soot house and idk it's soo cool how that fell into place bc 1852 was COMPLETELY random. ANYWAYS sorry to ramble like that QASJDGFSD

24 : how much prep work do you put into your stories? what does that look like for you? do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

hhh well that depends on the story! i mean look at tiny workers with DAYS of worldbuilding, then soot house which i've never touched an outline for but still have 10k for. it's all really random. but usually planning will all be mental. if it's a larger fic i'll make a pinterest board for it and OCCASIONALLY a playlist. but usually it's just a mental outline, bc if i ever try to write anything down i put it down and try again soo many times with a different approach,,, it's a very messy process sometimes. i do like worldbuilding, it's really fun! but i think unless someone is making me do something specific with specific questions they want me to answer i just can't do anything asdjfh

hm. i really don't know, i'd have to think about it! i'd say i'm still a pretty noob writer so i don't have a cool unique writing process. butttt if i had to say, maybe the fact that it's so open? that's not necessarily weird in any way but sometimes i just feel like opening a doc on my phone and writing lil words on the way home or when no one is looking. other days i will get all cozied up and make my environment all aesthetic and shit lol (but when i do that i usually cave and just watch netflix or youtube lol)

Sage: The only person here I actually care about! Wow! She deserves all the respect for trying to talk to me and bringing me more confidence than I could ever imagine. Everyone who has ever wronged her is on my shit list- but she’s wonderful and the best person in the history of ever <33 Sometimes I think she dislikes me and lies about being so in love with me, but she always seems to comfort me and ensure me that’s not true. Props to you; you’re the best person ever. XOXO All of these bitches (Sage being an exception) make me want to kill myself. So. Badly. I just want to rip my skin open with a knife and finally be what people want me, dead.
