Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate: Coffee, though she isn't opposed to the other two. She does love strong, caffeinated coffee that can keep her awake because she uses all the time of the day she can for her missions/research.

Average hours of sleep: 5-7, depending on the workload of the day, but if she needs to have information ready for her missions, she will sleep less than 5 hours.

Dogs or cats: DOGS!!! She and her family have owned dogs since she was a kid, and she had a husky that sadly passed away a few years prior to the beginning of my story. Now, she has a special husky as a guard/watch dog. Notice I said the dog is special.

Dream trip: She has travelled to various countries around the world for work, but she's never had the chance to go to Hawaii or other small islands like the Maldives.

Number of blankets: 4 blankets: 1 that goes under her when she sleeps, and 2 that cover her when she sleeps; and 1 she uses to wrap herself with whenever she's lounging around her apartment. She loves being warm.

Random fact: Her quirk is Portal Creation and she's the one person in her immediate family that was blessed with being able to make stable portals that are useful for transportation. She can create as many as 30 stable portals at once, and when she touches her younger brother's hand when he activates his quirk to stabilize portals, she is able to create 50 stable portals. She can even make portals over her eyes as a way for her to see into other locations, though this temporarily blinds her (but it's still so cool). She has to be very careful because if she doesn't concentrate on her portals, she could rip through time and space, which is not something she (or anyone else) wants. She can travel from place to place with it and it is very useful in combat because she can evade her opponents and then make a portal to attack them from the back; she can push villains into her portals to disorient them and this gives her the upper hand to apprehend them quickly after she kicks them out of the portals; and when her teammates create something with their quirks, she can store them in her portals to use for a later attack. She can't let her opponents stay in her portals for more than 3 seconds because they will lose their minds and she can hear their despair in her portals. She can also have other people walk through her portals to get them from one place to another, though it's better if she goes with them as their guide. One of her moves is called the "Grand Slam!" because it's an homage to her father, a retired pro hero who likes baseball; and it's her favorite sneak attack on her opponents by appearing from behind them through a portal and punching them.

There's something about like. A certain genre of posts / Online Opinions about insecurity/depression/misery/complaints that are so unhelpful that they wrap right around to being straight up hilarious. and it's the ones that are more or less written to the tone of "Feeling bad? That's gross!" Like, just so you know, don't voice your insecurities/ have low self esteem, because that's offputting! You're gross and weird. Don't be insecure about that, though. That would be stupid if you felt insecure about people disliking you for being insecure. Not attractive. You should be thinking about being as attractive as possible. You shouldn't make comments about suicide, even if you're suicidal! Keep those thoughts entirely to yourself. Make sure nobody around you knows you're thinking about this. It would Make Them Uncomfortable. It's better to keep these thoughts in your head where they can fester. Don't post OR talk to friends with complaints about you feeling miserable or depressed. Tbh people who are sad/upset a lot? Kinda a red flag! You are probably miserable because you're a bad person and you've brought this on yourself. If you don't have friends, it's because you're awful to be around. Easy! Solved the problem for you. And no, there is no nuance to this, got it? In 'vis a vis' Janeway doesn't mention B'Elanna in the list of people who're worried about Tom which implies that B'Elanna didn't report the fact that "Tom" grabbed her arm, called her a disappointment and broke up with her (as Janeway definitely would have mentioned it as evidence of him acting strange if she knew about it) which makes sense on several different fronts but also makes me scream and cry loud enough to break glass.

#it reminds me of that time in 'Alice' (NOT related as vis a vis takes place seasons BEFORE 'Alice') but when B'Elanna says Tom: #'practically assaulted me' Janeway's not taking it seriously at all she says 'that doesn't sound like Tom' and I was like CAPTAIN??? anyways. the "hell" in BFDI is not actually hell but rather an afterlife which resembles hell in looks. the only people who went there were people who died in trash compactors in the charades challenge, and nickel suggets that because they died in a similar manner they were sent to this afterlife. that implies that afterlives seem to be based on how you die, and this is the "crushed in a trash compactor in the charades challenge" afterlife.

I have truly never seen so much discourse for a hero/anti-hero that kills until I started liking jason todd. I have literally never seen so many people get hate for not condemning a fictional character who kills bad guys until now its shocking! and I mean that literally

maybe I’m the one missing something but there are plenty of heroes (not antiheroes but HEROES) who exist that choose a lethal method and people take that in stride? the only way I can make sense of this is that people are so attached to batman and his mythos; they literally imprint on him and his thinking ?? and now any slight against him or challenge against his righteousness is taken as if its a slight against them.

at the end of the day, to me, you can still support jason being lethal because the fictional characters hes killing aren’t actually dead. in this sense, specifically, I don’t see why real life morals should be applied to a comic world. he’s not killing out of bigotry and if he was, I would get the controversy! but if you can agree with brutally beating and invasions of privacy in the dcu because it’s “morally correct” within the universe, I can’t see an argument against jason’s methods being morally wrong as valid unless those views are applied to every aspect of batman comics. if we did that, then everyone who continued reading these comics would be getting the same treatment jason todd fans do. ​you cannot hold one character accountable to real life moral views and not the other(s)!

Since the approach is “The Splatoon has been translated to English/Japanese for the audience but they speak their own language in-universe” I’ve been trying to be mindful about knowing what my main characters’ “real” names actually mean. The relevance between “localized” names and their real names’ meanings get shaky on my earliest characters since I hadn’t fully internalized this thought process yet and was just vaguely mimicking official characters though lol but even with my later characters where I’m being more deliberate I’m not usually looking to translate names 1 to 1

Anyways I think the only character whose name means the exact same thing in every language is Lily Aoi. Lily is a Lily and her family name is Hollyhock. Girl is flowers all the way down. Doesn’t get any simpler than that!!
