i will be disregarding all ships and familial relationships for this purely because it would make it WAY too complicated and this is my silly little haha. i already put too much thought into it, i cannot burden my mind with the restraint of familial and romantic relations.

first up, the main 7 characters. starting with the one who inspired this all:

Maka as Twilight Sparkle

she's got the wings, she's got the book smart, she's got the power of friendship on her side, it's perfect. this was all started b/c while rewatching the anime, we joked that Maka's dubbed voice sounded like Twilight. this one is the strongest comparison, it gets worse from here.

Soul as Spike

no offense to Soul, but he's usually secondary to Maka most of the time. snarky, sassy, and often asking questions. also, his name is Spike, Soul's got spiky hair, it makes sense.

Black☆Star as Rainbow Dash

cocky, proud, super strong, fast, and blue!! a lot of their development revolves around like valuing other people (Black☆Star is more about like,,,, becoming his own person but y'know) also they both have scratchy voices.

Tsubaki as Fluttershy

calm and mild mannered, but also on occasion has the ability to go apeshit. befriends someone who is quite strong and obnoxious that most characters find annoying.

Death the Kid as Rarity

obsessive about appearances and has a particularly fancy way of talking. pale?? distinctive hair. makes sense.

Patty as Pinkie Pie

no explanation necessary.

Liz as Apple Jack

older sister figure! blonde and realistic, kinda tough and used to having to work for stuff (though Liz doesn't have to do it too much anymore now that she and patty are chilling w/ Kid) also, AJ was the only one left of the mane 6 lol.

Crona as Princess Luna

obviously the moon connection, duh. dark aesthetic, doesn't understand other people, and gets kinda possessed by madness!! which leads into my next choice

Kishin Asura as Nightmare Moon

evil!! but also because they were a bit misunderstood. spreads their powers across the entire world. possesses someone who is also part of them. lives on the moon.

Lord Death as Princess Celestia

tall and a god figure, but also kind of royalty? super OP but also we barely get to see them fight or use their powers ever so that our lovely main characters can be the ones to defeat the big bad. questionable morals at times.

Stein as Discord

crazy ass bitch!! tall and a slightly concerning amount of people simp for them. looks stitched together, stuff sticking out of their heads.

Marie as Princess Cadance

Ox as Snips

weird hair,,,,,,,,,,

Harvar as Snails

tall?? Harvar's a spear so he's tall by default. he's also gold-ish when he's in weapon form so that counts, also pointy b/c unicorn and spear.

Jackie as Octavia

Jackie has to be Octavia b/c her name is based off of cellist Jacqueline du Pré and even though Jackie doesn't play cello, this is who she must be to fulfill her destiny. also, they both have dark hair.

Kim as DJ Pon 3 (Vinyl Scratch)

gay. unicorn, so she has magic like a witch

Kilik and the Pots as the Cutie Mark Crusaders

there's three of them and they are inseparable. do not separate them. Kilik can be Sweetie Belle b/c he's standing in the middle.

Sid as Big Mac

man of few words. super strong and ,,,,,,, angular?? idk they're both kinda blocky. sad eyes,,,,,,,, UNDERRATED.

Naigus as Zecora

doctor!!! also if i was a pony, i would have a crush on Zecora. i have a crush on Naigus. this is my reasoning.

Medusa as Chrysalis

evil. weird and confusing hair!! dark aesthetic with one accent color. insanely manipulative, undeniably slaying.

Arachne as The Storm King

this one comes as a suggestion from Tumblr mutual (and my literal current college suite mate) @xaltiide she says that this guy is "the big bad" but isn't doing Most of the bad stuff in comparison to the other villains.

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls 2/16, There’s The Rub, The Part Where Paris and Rory Are SuperMegaGay And All Is Right With The World Again, Part 6

Paris just saved Rory's hide from the wrath of Dean (okay, she still got plenty of wrath from Dean, unfortunately, but it could have been a lot worse) and this is why Paris is my favorite Boyfriend, not Jess.

One of the most serious crimes commited by one miss AmyShermanPalladino in writing a Year in the Life is not taking advantage of the freedom of Netflix and the much more progressive year of 2016 by having Paris get a divorce at the same time that Rory is lost and adrift in her life and finally put these two idiots together. But no. They still didn't find each other and live happily ever after and Rory is still shacking up with Logan even when it's clear that neither Paris or Rory actually like men.

By golly. This is 2002, they said. It can't be done, they said. And yet, PariMore proved us wrong. They went super duper ultra mega gay. Netflix and Chill gay. Slumber party gay. Super Gay Fanfiction!

Staaaaaaaaahpppppp!! 😭 We interrupt Super Duper Gay Lesbian Slumber Party and cut to Lorelai and Emily having a night on the town after their spa day. They meet a handsome older gentleman at the bar who offers a dance to Emily. In a shocking turn of events that further proves this episode comes from some alternate dimension where all is right with the world with the exception of Dean Forrester, Lorleai happily becomes her mother's wingwoman after some small initial resistance. Are you ok, Lorelai? Do you feel feverish? You haven't nagged, cockblocked, offered unsolicited advice, or butted into anyone's business in like, a whole 30 minutes. This episode has such great Lorelai and Emily banter, like Emily telling Lorelai "You let me get 60/40'd" and "Hookers eat at bars." "Only if they can't get a table." Terrific! But the handsome gentleman gets a little too close, Emily feels guilty about dancing with him and that puts the kibosh on that and Emily blames Lorelai for making her feel like a cheap floozy. Geez Lorelai, I guess you can't win. You're insufferable when you're being a cockblocking menace to society, but then when you actually do relax a little bit and alllow people do as they please, you get the business. Emily wonders why she can't have what Rory and Lorelai have and I don't know if a deeply fucked up mother daughter relationship forged from a teen pregnancy where the 34 year old mother is still about 15 maturity wise is something you want to aspire to. Rory reading the check in forms at her therapist's office 5 years from now: Form: "Reason for appointment?" Rory: "Hmmm..." Lorelai to Emily at the hotel: Rory and I are best friends, Mom. Best friends first, and mother and daughter second! (Rory in her therapist's office: "Ah. There it is.")

There are so many times Lorelai is this - close to having a breakthrough, where she exhibits a fleeting moment of self awareness then poof, it is gone. She didn't pause to think about the implications behind admitting "I'm my daughter's friend before her mother." She will never learn or grow or change. Oh well, that's our Lorelai!

Listen, stop the feuding, you both get a trophy for Sucking At Parenting. Is there any hope for Rory's spawn to break this generational curse? It would be interesting if Rory's future child turned out to be a boy, because like, I have to wonder what creative and different ways she could manage to fuck up a son? (as with everything I'm sure this exists as a work of fanfiction somewhere). Lorelai thinks spending a whole weekend with her mother was too intense and they should have started with something smaller to patch their relationship and grow closer. What is her idea? No, not therapy. Petty theft. They steal the robes from their hotel room. Yay, mother and daughter bonding and not healing any trauma whatsoever!

No, never. Only if it's a box of cornstarch, a boat, or another woman's husband. Emily enjoys the robe stealing caper, some sarcastic quips are exchanged, and the desperate, aching, deep seated emotional trauma being suffered by both parties is once again shoved down deep deep inside to fester like an infected wound.

She's totally fine you guys. We cut to Rory and Lorelai at the diner the next day where Rory is giving Lorelai the run down of the previous events, presumably minus the super duper mega gay sexual tension between herself and Paris. Lorelai remarks that Paris looked nauseous and tired when she woke up in the morning, which Rory attributes to a sugar overload, but we know better. We know how dehydrating all-night Blockbuster & Chill lesbian makeout slumber parties can be.

Oh right, Rory committed the felony of spending one evening with someone other than Dean so now she "owes" him her time. She is talking about it with a level of excitement in her voice akin to someone who was just asked to scrub a toilet. Of course, there could not be a mention of Dean without a deeply troubling response from Lorelai. They go together like peanut butter and jelly. Surely it will be something like, “Aw honey, he just yelled at you because he loves you” or something.

Eh, close enough.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! It gets worse! There's only a minute left in the episode! How does she do it, folks? She is truly breathtaking. Before we get there, let's enjoy some Literati bliss. Rory is catching on that the whole Food Delivery thing may have been a ruse from Jess to get all up in her bizzzness and almost pries the truth out of Luke, but Jess diverts Luke away from the scene. Jess and Rory then enjoy an incredibly rare, blissful moment together, free of interruptions, alone at the counter. Or so they think.

Sorry I almost called you a naive woodland fairy when I thought you still didn't get that Luke never actually told Jess to bring to food your house and USA here cooked up the whole scheme on his own. It's clearly Jess who's the naive one if he thinks you're actually going to pay for your food! Ha ha!

He's also talking in his usual miserable serial killer monotone about "Spending the day with Rory" like he'd rather be sticking his arm into heavy machinery than spend time with her, and again I have to wonder why he is even bothering with her, other than the fact that she's an easy victim and that no other humanoid woman besides Lorelai would ever give this soggy cornflake the time of the day. L: Rory told me everything that happened last night. She feels terrible about it. You shouldn't feel bad. It was a "Freaky unfortunate thing that happens." She continues in her soft, flirty, gentle Talking to Dean voice, "It had nothing to do with Jess coming over, trust me, she did not want him there!" Um. Again, a very weird thing to say about Some Kid to the guy your daughter is dating? Thanks to one of my followers who pointed out that Rory never said this on camera which means Lorelai has now resorted to flat out lying to Dean in order to sabotage her daughter's friendship (and it's still only a friendship) with Jess.

Look alive Butthead. She's salivating. I think she's about to start humping your leg right there in front of Luke's Diner. Don't make me turn the garden hose on you Lorelai. Dean isn't listening or aware he's about to be humped. He's distracted. There's something he's incredibly concerned about. Rory and Jess....they're talking. To each other. In public. Now, Gilmore Girls knows how to do creepy. We've got plenty of stories of people stalking, eavesdropping, hiding in bushes, leaving excessive amounts of messages, Dean existing, yada yada. But this is easily one of the creepiest things to ever happen on this show. It seriously gives me the chilly willies. The eeby jeebies. The eepy creepies. They look like two villains who have joined evil forces to devestate....Lorelai's own freaking daughter.

Music was great. No subpar show stoppers that make me go THANKS FOR THE FIVE MINUTE WAIT TO RESTATE EVERYTHING I ALREADY KNOW ELSA.

The music fits together nicely. It's a soundtrack I can listen to without skipping anything because my brain isn't thrown out of whack. Everything segues nicely. I don't hate anything. I like it all.

For example, I feel this way about the Coco soundtrack. While I dislike the contemporary version of Remember Me, I can leave on the entire soundtrack and do anything. There's nothing bad about it. It's great. I sing along or I just vibe during instrumental pieces. I can do this for Snow White, Pinocchio, and Mary Poppins. I cannot do this for many other soundtracks. CONSIDER THIS A VERY HIGH HONOR FROM ME.

No, people just went in with shitty mindsets before reviewing and I'm actually looking for a good negative review because I'd probably agree with them cause different strokes for different folks. Cause no seriously someone said Cruella had more depth than Magnifico. And I love Cruella but... friendo. She's not that deep, she really isn't. I wanna sit that person down and just ask them how deep "old friend from college envies your dog's sparkly coat and steals them cause fashion". She's not that deep, truly. Glenn Close did spectacular but SHE'S ABOUT AS DEEP AS A PUDDLE. And if you mean that Emma Stone movie, no you don't. That movie doesn't exist. Cruella doesn't have some life long grudge against dalmatians because that's stupid and why would you ever write something as stupid as that? Because you wouldn't and it was a collective bad dream we all had. tl;dr I really enjoyed Wish and it makes me realize how much bad writing exists not just in animation but in Hollywood in general and maybe we stop finding some of these things acceptable from now on.

I was playing through PA:AA Trials and Tribulations, and I just realized that no one talks about Recipe for Turnabout.

Why? How can no one in this fandom not go bat shit insane for Phony Phoenix? I mean look at this man

He’s bat chit insane. The madlad is literally an anti-Phoenix. He calls himself the Tiger. He growls at the jury. He’s so scary the Judge hides under his desk.

HE MAKES A FAKE ATTORNEY BADGE OUT OF CARDBOARD AND PRETENDS TO BE PHOENIX IN!!! COURT!!!!!!

AND NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING!

Gumshoe, the Judge, Maggey, AND EVEN MAYA don’t register that its NOT PHOENIX.

He’s constantly screaming. He’s growling. He tells Phoenix that for every dumb question he asks he’s gonna sue him $50,000.

HE’S BRIGHT. FUCKING. RED.

I refuse to acgnowledge this Furio Tigre erasure. That case was a fucking wild ride. That man impersonated the most popular defense attorney and almost got away with it, and it was heavily implied that he was dating the granddaughter of the

We ALSO learn that Gumshoe is SUPER SOFT for Maggey Bryde. She gets arrested for supposedly being the murderer, and Gumshoe is in HYSTERICS. He runs around like a lost puppy doing everything he can to get Maggey out with the same if not more panic than he had when Edgeworth was arrested. AND ITS SO??? WHOLESOME?????

Like he’s SO CUTE TOO. He makes Maggey lunches, because he notices she’s been loosing weight and doesn’t want her to be unhealthy. When he understands that Maggey is mad at him because of a misunderstanding, he avoids her because she says she doesn’t want to see him, and he doesn’t want to push himself onto her.

HE’S SUCH A GENTLEMAN?? WHY DO I NOT SEE MORE MAGGEY AND GUMSHOE SHIP ART.

Not only that, but they have PERFECT ENERGY TOGETHER. They’re both like energetic dogs you can rely on. They’re excited, and they’re here to do their best. They can do no wrong.

Also, Gumshoe and Maggey LOVE the same foods and it’s adorable. You can’t change my mind; straight ships can be adorable too I’m literally a gay man call me homophobic I dare you.

She’s actually pretty chill, despite how off-putting she is. Would love to listen to true crime and watch the Twilight Zone with her. She deserves better.

um ok so i actually have lots of thoughts after thinking about it all night. my FIRST thought was that abracadaniel's "were you guys talkin about me ',:D" makes me think she has something going on with ABRACADANIEL, but (brushes that aside) hes gay smh. but he clearly wants cal's approval.

also other thoughts. it explains why she was so completely bland about cadebra this entire time. youd think shed either love her or hate her, given that deb's a main character the only other member of the Weak House. but she ignores her during class entirely. no playing favorites in doctor cal's class no sir ignores the whole pep thing. she DOES very very gently go check on her when pep runs off and blaines out there smearing his name.

well. i think itd be fun. i mean. i am. very angry at this lady for everything she did and she is not very nice (WHICH LADY? YES). but cal has this very supportive kind veneer i think she really did love those kids to some extent (bro it stops when you leave them lying in an alley alone to die. but she DID just want everyone to have a good time in her class. and "ohh, hey, ease up" lives in my mind forever, as insidious as it was, given who she was saying it to and when. BUT i think itd be fun. because momdebra is soooo overbearing and intense, mom wants cadebra to push herself so far, mom is insistent that cadebra follow a specific path and track specific numbers to make herself the perfect wizard as dictated by arbitrary levels and abilities. whereas, doctorate though she may have, cal seems so much more holistic, and just wants everyone to follow their own path and learn their own way, and fill their heads with joy and knowledge, she wants everyone to delight in the pursuit of learning and she will stand out in the rain and the mud with you and gently explain the cultural and historical significance of every artifact you find for hours until you are satisfied. like thats her deal. i do not forgive her for the things she did (i need to remind myself of that because im MAD ! she left blaine there defenseless she WATCHED spader die!) but i do think she has a truly kind side to her because learning and pleasure in doing so are actually important to her. just, not as important as bringing about the second age of terror. anyways. sorry this turned into me trying to unravel my cal thoughts.

Opinions on Max’s moms being ronance in the same way that Steve and Eddie are/were father figures to Dustin ? And if you like do you have any favorite headcanons of them?

Oh! Oh! I love Ronance being Max’s moms!!! I think about them so much

Robin:

I like to think it probably started with Max going to Robin for advice—and not in the sense of a sexuality crisis like everyone loves with Steve. Rather, Max is an incredibly smart young woman, and I just know she figured out her bisexuality pretty easily on her own, and she saw Robin and immediately went “oh, that’s a homosexual.” I could see her going to Robin, pretending to be chill about it, to get some gay mentoring, like just general survival tips for being queer in Indiana.

They absolutely bond over their shared snarkiness (not that they’d ever admit it) and terrorize Steve on a daily basis. Max takes to calling him dingus with Robin. Steve just goes “oh god there’s two of them”

When Robin and Nancy starts dating, Max shows up and slams her hands down on the counter and basically grills Robin on how the hell she bagged Wheeler. She disguises it as teasing and banter, but Robin knows it’s because Max has a huge crush on El and doesn’t know the first thing about flirting with girls.

Nancy:

Nancy and Max are a little different. Max isn’t one to admit any sort of affection for anyone, but if you think Nancy isn’t her hero, you and I did not watch the same show. She probably thought Nancy was a huge priss at first, but then she watched her immediately take the rifle in season 2, then play chicken with a car in season 3. Before she even sees Nancy saw off the barrel of a shotgun, she decides Nancy is one of her idols.

Max and Nancy probably don’t talk as much to begin with because they’re so different—but I like the idea that maybe Nancy likes Wonder Woman too, so they find a shared interest there. And if they shit talk Mike and how he treats El, well, that’s their business.

After Ronance occurs, and after Max talks to Robin, she goes to Nancy instead. Robin has some game, but we all know who wears the pants in the relationship, and Max figures it out pretty quickly. Nancy probably helps her put together a plan to ask El out, takes her to get flowers, drives her to El’s house, etc.

Ronance:

We all know Max is a skater girl, and that comes with a myriad of injuries. Usually it’s just a skinned knee or a couple of bruises, but once she manages to fully break her arm. Instead of her mom or Steve or whoever else, Max’s first call is to Nancy. She naturally shows up with Robin and they bring her to the hospital. They both sign her cast and Nancy drives her home.

Nancy and Robin get more calls after that, usually involving Max’s mom being drunk again and her not wanting to be home. She never admits this, but Nancy can read people, and she knows. Nancy will pick up Max, and often Robin too, and they’ll spend the night in Nancy’s bedroom, painting each other’s nails and watching movies. El gets invited too, once Max asks her out.

Both Robin and Nancy are so excited for Max when El and her start dating. Nancy drives them to dates occasionally. Max and Robin sit and talk about their girlfriends all the time (but no one else gets to hear it from Max).

They probably help Max to open up a bit, to relax a little. She remains her snarky self, but it’s softer and she’s less afraid to be affectionate with her found family. Nancy especially I think would recognize a little of herself in Max with her issues with saying “I love you.” I think that would be a very interesting conversation for them to have.

And if you ship Elumax (which I do, because why decide between two amazing ships when polyamory exists, plausibility be damned), Nancy probably scolds Max when she’s being mean to Lucas. “That boy loves you, be nice to him,” when she threatens to dump his ass for the third time that month. Nancy is also the only one Max goes to for boy troubles, given that Robin probably immediately went “ew, I’m not talking to you about boys, ask your other mom.”

Max calls one of them mom on accident once. She never lives it down, but she also slips into it a bit more as their relationship grows. She finds that while they’re more like big sisters, they’re more moms to her than Susan (if I’m remembering the name right) has ever been. So she starts to actually refer to them as her moms, but always in a snarky way as an attempt to keep her cool reputation, but Robin visibly melts and Nancy adores it, even if she doesn’t show it.

Monster Hunter au:

Max is a werewolf, but in the “lore” I’m using (for lack of a better word), werewolves don’t change until their 16th birthday. Naturally this means she already knows Robin, and Robin is there to help her through it.

Robin shows her the ropes, basically how to control certain aspects of their shared lycanthropy (ie; making fangs appear at will), how to make the full moon a little easier, the safest places to go, etc.

She also introduces Max to Chrissy, who helps with a little magic that makes the shift less painful and easier to control.

Nancy actually doesn’t clock her immediately, and Robin protects her from the monster hunters as long as possible. I have a idea for a little reveal where Max is actually the one to protect Robin though 👀

My plans are to have Naruto end up with Shikamaru, I love Sai/Sakura but Ino loves Sakura and i don't understand the Ino/Sai i'm still watching the anime it's just i never finished my run so i started reading the manga back to the part im at and im at ep 145 of shippuden i think? I'm not allowing myself to finish watching it until my story is caught up to where i am. Back to what i was saying I'm thinking of making it Ino/Sakura/Sai but it's more of "This is my girlfriend Sakura and her boyfriend Sai" my reasoning for this is when Ino witnessed Sasuke pull that guys arms out the socket as a kid it traumatized her, made her scared of him and Sai apparently looks like Sasuke, they were saying he looked like Sasuke a little bit in the anime if i remember correctly. it just creeps her out. I don't think Ino really ever liked Sasuke she just liked him cause that's what was cool when she was a kid so the whole rivalry with Sakura was just built on that idea. I was rewatching some scenes and i think, ok i gotta back track a little bit. I headcanon Ino's famliy is the most chill with same-sex stuff, so like if their daughter was gay they wouldn't mind. Ino puts this thinking in Sakura's head but Sakura's not as understanding as a kid and thinking it's weird cause different households (Not saying her parents were homophobic, it's just never been brought up to her before) Ino finally realizes she's in love with Sakura after she comes to her rescue when he hair gets cut that's the whole of what i wanted to say. So from that point on Ino likes Sakura, Sakura still has her feelings for Sasuke and Naruto's crush on Sakura has gone. I noticed he still asked her on dates but ultimately before and after Sasuke leaves it really hits Naruto that Sakura holds something special to Sasuke. Tsunade even notices it when she watches him leave the room to give them a moment after she heals him, Naruto walks out the room and says he wants her to look at Lee but his body language said "Oh im not needed here" and his feelings looked a little hurt. Another thing Neji developing a crush on Shikamaru before and during the timeskip because those two are the smartest in the group meaning they must work together alot even if they weren't in the same squad, Chunin Neji and Chunin Shikamaru being paired up alot is something i look at with shining eyes. But Neji, he notices Shikamaru's crush on Naruto so backs off, this leads him to back to Lee cause i'm a huge Neji/Lee shipper as well. I feel pretty neutral about Sai/Ino, not because I think they are madly in love or anything but in Boruto I like the dynamic I saw of them, plus inojin is my favorite kid so I'm biased here… But I'm also super down for a Sai/Sakura/Ino, with mostly Sakura being the bridge between them!!!

For me, Ino would be a lesbian who had to deal with a lot of compulsory heterosexuality, so she forced herself to have a crush on Sasuke when they were kids because that's just what girls are supposed to do, but after a small breakdown after a fight with sakura she talks to her parents and surprisingly it's them that tell her that she might have a crush on her and they tell her that it's okay if she feels that way and that there is nothing wrong with her.

I think it's pretty accurate that Sakura would be a little reluctant to accept that, but eventually, she does understand that she's bisexual and things become a little easier for her to figure out what she wants and who she wants to be! [Discovering non-monogamy/polyamory is a whole other can of worms so I'm not gonna get into that here unless you want me to!!]

I'M SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT UP NEJI AND SHIKAMARU. Okay I know they're not your main pairing but a few years ago I read a fic of them that to this day has a place in my brain, I will leave linked it here if you're interested

But yes, for our shikanaru endgame purpose, Neji is very perceptive so he kind of always knew he never really had a chance here, he backs off, and eventually, his feelings for someone else grow which is how we get to neji/lee!!

But I also really like your take on her talking it out with shikamaru and realizing that her feelings for Naruto lean more toward admiration than actual romantic love, would love for her to have a happy life, would also really adore seeing her become the head of the Hyuuga clan and start making the changes Naruto promised Neji he would do it (and he never actually did it)!!

she’s basically a magnet for shitty relationships she basically forces herself into, and a whole string of men who ‘fall in love’ with her while she just kinda… awkwardly smiles at them bc she’s too nice to shut them down until they majorly overstep. She’s always horribly confused whenever Martouf’s around because Jolinar was in love with him and she has very mixed up feelings about everything with him.

She literally goes on a rant about amatonormativity in the one where Pete proposes to her, about the double standards of not settling but also you’re abnormal if you’re single, and it’s clear how trapped into accepting his proposal she feels when her heart is clearly not in it.

Kinda unrelated but her dynamic with Janet and Cassie felt so radical. Having two people very much involved in raising a kid (and the rest of sg1 also being close with cassie is so 🥺🥺) and for them to simply be friends. OBVIOUSLY this very much has to do with Sam and Janet both being women and probably if one of them were a dude they would’ve put some kind of romantic tension between them 🙄 but hey let me have this 🤣 I get shipping them of course but i cannot abide by the ‘they were raising a child together thus they MUST be GAY and IN LOVE this is the ONLY thing that makes sense’ line of reasoning, because co-parenting does not mean or require them to be romantically involved. To me Sam and Janet were simply close friends and partners in raising Cassie together but again. To each their own.

And then there’s Jack.

Now it’s pretty much canon they’d jump each other’s bones when given the chance, not denying that, but it’s how their relationship is through the series. How chill they are most of the time? There’s yearning to be closer and not have to hide, sure, but it’s not all encompassing. They’re close friends who chat and laugh and are there for each other and they carry on working together fine. In every other universe they’re pretty romantic, but they never feel like they are or could be that in this one. They also date other people without ‘moving on’ from each other, and they pretty much already have their own relationship prior to season 9, and to me romance just doesn’t feel like it covers it.

Sam has that talk with imaginary Jacob in Grace which basically confirms that her relationship with Jack keeps her from going after someone else. And Jacob frames it like she’s hiding from being hurt, but what if she’s actually hiding from the expectation of having romantic feelings and relationships with other people by being in this safe and comfortable nebulous thing she has with Jack? And yeah, this is all happening inside her own head, but what if Jacob just represents amatonormativity 🤣

Also in 200 when Vala imagines a wedding between them, Sam looks like she’s desperately trying not to laugh and Jack just looks nonplussed and I am pretty sure they wouldn’t be into marrying for the traditional reasons.

Also: ‘so you’re single now’ ‘not exactly’. NOT EXACTLY. NOT A SOLID ‘YES I AM IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP’. BECAUSE THEY ARE IN A QPR. AND SAM IS AROMANTIC.

Ok so critical role is a d&d Livestream that is broadcasted on Thursdays on YouTube and twitch. Yasha is played by Ashley Johnson and Beau is played by Marisha Ray. So spoilers for campaign 2

From the first episode it was clear that Beau found Yasha attractive, but Yasha didn't return any of the advances at the time outside of occasional bickering. Eventually we learn that Yasha is a widow and that her wife (Zuala) was executed after their tribe found out, this causes Beau to kinda back off and stop flirting with her. Then during episode 69 Yasha ends up getting mind controlled by Obann and the rest of the party have to flee. (This was because Ashley had to leave for a while to film Blindsided and they needed a story reason for why Yasha couldn't be there)

While the party travels to try and find a way to free Yasha and defeat Obann Beau and Jester end up hanging out more, Jester is played by Laura Bailey, and it's clear that Beau is developing a small crush on Jester. However Jester already has a crush of Fjord, played by Travis Willingham, but overall this caused a massive spike in Beaujest shippers.

Well eventually they free Yasha and defeat Obann. After some time for Yasha to recover from everything, they end up flirting again, and Yasha starts to move forward from the loss of her wife, and Beau falls hard for her, she talks to jester about what to do, and talks about how she isnt gonna be the one to confess and that she wants Yasha to be the one to initiate because she doesn't want to force her. Well they do end up getting together in the end, and in a post campaign summary it's said that Yasha take Beau to Zuala's grave, and that eventually they settle down and raise kids together.

That is a Very very brief summary of the story that skips over alot of stuff.

Now to the drama Beaujest was also a decently common ship in the fandom and it only increased after Yasha was brainwashed, I personally like the ship but that ain't super important, well due to the fact that critical role is an improv dnd campaign it was possible for the ship to become canon, however a few episodes after Yasha's rescue it became clear that it wasn't going to and that Beauyasha was gonna be the ship that became canon. So some for the more extreme Beaujest shippers started to come up with reasons as to why it shouldn't become canon or that it's a problematic/bad ship. Such as saying that it's disrespectful to Zuala, or that Beau's feeling for Yasha were retconned in or that Beau's feelings for Jester were retconned away, or that they had no chemistry, which lead to claims of queerbaiting, and people saying that Beauyasha is a wlw ship for straight people while Beaujest is the pure wlw ship for gay people.

That's not even getting into the shit that Liam O'Brien has to deal with in terms of biphobia and people claiming queerbaiting when his bi character got with a woman in campaign 1, or when his character got with a man in campaign 2 but they didn't kiss or explicitly express their love live.

For the most part the fandom is chill and nice, but when shit happens it really happens. I even have screenshots so that I can remember why I blocked certain people, I can show you if you are curious/if I can find them

Tebecca is all I care about in terms of the reboot. Literally, all I want to see is Rebecca and Tara being cute and in love. LET ME SEE A GAY KISS ON CRIMINAL MINDS, YOU COWARDS!!!

Here's what I think might happen (and let me say up front I fucking hate this, but considering how well I predicted what the reboot would be like..... I will probably be, best case: half-right, worst case: completely right)

Rebecca will become an important ally to the BAU by feeding them information about how to bring down Bailey (is that the dude's name??? I really don't care about this twerp. I'm going to call him Bailey for this post) Rebecca will give them updates and the insider info that helps them outsmart Bailey so that Emily can do her job and keep the team together/ bring back the BAU in order to hunt down the 'serial killer network'.

I think there will be some sort of conflict between Tara/Rebecca at some point. Who knows what the argument is about but there will be a little tension for whatever reason. I'd guess like maybe Tara feels Rebecca overstepped or maybe Rebecca questions something the BAU does. No matter the reason, there will be a bit of frustration with each other at some point. Especially when we look at this comment from Aisha :

“I don’t think [Tara] does relax,” Tyler admits with a laugh. “One of the things I love about Lewis is that she’s a workaholic because I’m a workaholic. … I think she finds the work energizing. She is in a relationship, and I think that’s been a real surprise for her. I don’t think she was really looking for one. She’s been happy to be devoted to the work, but I don’t think that Lewis has any chill whatsoever. I think what we DO get to see of Tara and Rebecca will be super sanitised and pared back. Like 'G-rated' type relationship stuff. I dunno if we'll even see them kiss tbrh. Even though we've already had to suffer through heavy Willifer

Now here's the prediction I DESPERATELY want to be wrong about, but I know I'm probably right.... Rebecca is going to be put in peril. Best case? She gets fired for feeding the BAU information, or some other type of reprimand. Worst case? Physical danger, like being abducted/hurt/killed.

Why? Bc Criminal Minds VERY rarely introduces a romantic partner of a main character that DOESN'T get put in some type of peril. Why can't we just have this ONE thing?? Can't we just have a happy and wholesome queer relationship without using Rebecca has a plot device to cause Tara pain???????? (Fingers fucking crossed Rebecca survives the season tbrh)

Attack on Titan Pride Headcanons (Scouts Edition)

I like Attack on Titan. I put off watching it for months and when I was finally peer-pressured by all my friends and my sister, I fell in love!!!

So of course I'm gonna make a pride post!! This will cover all the... important scouts?? All the ones who don't immediately die within the first 2 seasons at least. I'll have a separate post for Warriors, so if you see Reiner and Bertotto missing, that's why.

Oh yeah, and spoilers for... the whole show??? Even in a headcanon post, it'd be very hard to not spoil anything, so read at your own risk. Also the way I spell character's last names is arbitrary. There's a different spelling every time I see it for Eren. And don't get me started on Bristol.

I need to preface this by saying I'm Eremin trash and I think they're lovely together. I also believe Eren and Mikasa have good chemistry even if I don't ship them.

Eren isn't sure how or why he feels attraction, but when he does, he really loves them. To an extreme degree. He holds on for dear life, and then some.

Armin Arlert (he/him): Gay

A lot of people like the bi/pan headcanon, and while I think that works, I guess I don't personally see it. I don't really think he has chemistry with any of the women in AoT but that's just my subjective view of it. The only woman I feel like he'd have chemistry with is Mikasa, to be honest. And that seems like the exception rather than the rule.

Not only am I Eremin trash, but I also love a healthy dose of Jearmin!! They cute!!

Mikasa Ackerman (she/her): Bisexual, Demi

Oh the chemistry she has with everyone. Jeankasa, Mikasasha, Mikannie, Mikahisu, good god there are so many good pairings for her!!!

I don't think she feels attraction until she's got a good connection to the person. Hence why she fell so hard for Eren.

Jean Kirschstein (he/him): Bisexual

Again, so much chemistry with so many people.

Her and Niccolo are cute and she's got good chemistry with Mikasa. But only Niccolo could provide her with her true love: meat.

Krista Lenz | Historia Reiss (she/her): Bisexual

This might be a controversial take. Lesbian Historia tends to be the consensus in fan circles, but I personally think she likes more than just women. Although I do believe she mostly likes women.

Maybe it's because I like the idea that she was eventually able to move on from Ymir, and that she wasn't stuck in perpetual despair. Maybe I like the idea of Farmer-kun (who I've affectionately named Huckleberry). I like that even though she'll forever hold Ymir in her heart, she's allowed to let another in. idk idk.

Ymir (she/her): Lesbian

MY BABE!!! She's absolutely a mean lesbian and she is very gay and very much loves women. She wants to marry Historia and love her forever!!! Bless her for being here and existing, I love her!!

But I suppose I think of bi as being both men and women attracted along with other genders even though the base definition is simply 2 or more genders.

ive been thinking of starting house but my mom recently started dexter and after seeing a few episodes it reminded me that it’s definitely in the era of women being written to be as insufferable as possible. is house similar? i just need a heads up before starting—it’s not a brand of misogyny i can stomach easily

house md isnt too bad when it comes to that imo, tbh the only person who is genuinely insufferable is house LOL he is a piece of shit in any interaction and uses societal expectations to be performatively misogynistic, racist, transphobic etc. like you cannot take this mf seriously he will come at people in the rudest way possible but its all ingenuine surface shit to get under the skin.

anyway back to the women: the characters who suffer the most from writers disrespecting them are cameron, amber, and park. they eventually (mostly) grew on me as they became more fleshed out with their own lives and histories as the show went on but the beginnings....good god.

quick rundown of their tropes: cameron is the good super emotional way too nice girl who falls in love with house, and amber is literally nicknamed "cutthroat bitch". cameron chills out later in the show (she still kinda annoys me lol) and amber is shown to be more human as her arc progresses. amber is pretty much the woman version of house in terms of ambition, intelligence, and spiky exterior

park is honestly a whole mess and as the woman of color in the show it feels racially motivated to make her so hard to like. she is oddly conservative pro gun pro doomsday prepper survivalism very VERY socially awkward and has thee ugliest haircut known to the world. its just consistently cruel character writing. she is literally groped by her superior (off screen) and the show and all the characters treat her like shes at fault when she punches him for it

i would say that cuddys character suffers only because of her proximity to house, and in classic woman-hating shipper style the fans were needlessly hateful of her when they eventually get together bc they perceived her as a threat to the main gay ship of the show lol...

this got fkn long sorryyyyyy but yeah id say watch it and see how u feel about it after the first half season? its fun so long as you dont take it too seriously. its a comedy more than anything else

Rating The Hollow Ships Because I’m Bored II (Obscure Edition)

I am back to discuss more ships for The Hollow, this time the more obscure ones! For those who haven’t read the previous list, just click this line of text to get yourself caught up!

And of course, blah blah blah, these are just my opinions, I’m not making this to diss anyone, I think It’d make for an interesting discussion, etc.

With that out of the way, let’s get started!

Mira x Kai/Kaira:

Ok, so when I first thought of this ship? I didn’t really like the image in my head. Now that I really think about it, I could see this being cute! I think what turned me away to it at first was that Mira acts a lot like a mother/sister figure to Kai, but then I realized that Kai is a walking disaster with mommy and daddy issues. Call the dude a good boy and he’ll be on his knees begging for a hug and a kiss on the forehead goodnight (basically, Mira would be Kai’s type, probably)

Mira has good emotional intuition, so she’d be able to tell when Kai is upset and give him support. Also Kai would be able to make Mira laugh, and really the girl needs that, she’s been through a lot.

Overall: 6.5/10

Kai x Skeet/Skeekai:

There is approximately one brain cell shared between these two. Skeet holds it most of the time. I think this ship is really adorable; they would get into the craziest shit and then they’d kiss afterwards. Definitely friends to lovers without the slow-burn; it just kind of happens.

They’re probably so casual with each other that a lot of people who first meet them don’t even know they’re dating, and honestly? I’m a sucker for ambiguously gay duos-

Overall: 7/10

Skeet x Vanessa/Skeenessa:

Working wife x house husband vibes. They’re just...really chill? Nothing really stands out about their relationship to be honest, they just’‘‘‘vibe.

Skeet would cheer at the sidelines though while his girlfriend commits arson. There is that aspect.

Overall: 7/10

Skeet x Adam/Skeedam:

Now THIS pairing is a true rare-pair if I have ever seen one. I don’t even know if anyone has actually thought of this before, but let me tell you, it’s hard. Adam and Skeet hardly interact throughout the show, and when they do interact it’s usually Adam trying to keep Skeet from committing self-delete, or it’s filled with tension when they’re discussing their situation and of Adam’s issues with Reeve. I genuinely cannot find the vibe, folks. (If any Skeedam shippers are out there, please point me to the direction of the vibe)

But I can at least think of Adam and Skeet’s personalities individually and come up with assumptions. They’d probably be a really, really chill couple. Skeet would reign Adam in when he’s being overbearing, and Adam would encourage Skeet to get off his butt during their more lazy bouts. Probably call each other “bro” and “amigo” even after they start dating. Another ambiguously gay duo.

Overall: WHERE’S THE LAMB SAUCE?!/10

Reeve x Skeet/Skeeve:

Bros. They are bros and they are holding hands. They play COD together and then they make out. Won’t stop making yo mama jokes. Unlike some of the other ships I’ve mention so far, these two aren’t casual and you will probably find out they’re dating within the first few minutes because they keep flirting, and I don’t mean in the wholesome way either. They can actually be wholesome though, they cuddle like, a lot in private.

Heteronormativity is dead because of these two. They killed it themselves.

Overall: 8/10

Reeve x Vanessa/Reenessa:

This ship has “two queer people in a straight-passing relationship.” Vibes. Vanessa is a Material Gworl and you bet Reeve buys her whatever she wants. The two have coffee dates and judge the other people in the room. They have “don’t fuck with us” energy. “We will beat you to death” energy.

I would be scared to come up to them because both would work together to beat my ass if I accidentally insulted either of them. Amazing. I love it.

Overall: 8/10

Reeve x Mira/Mireeve:

I...don’t know about this one, honestly? I just don’t know if Reeve and Mira would really work together. Like, even if Adam for example hadn’t been confirmed as gay, I wouldn’t have been rooting for Mira and Adam to get together because of the whole Adam Vs Reeve fiasco, along with Adam tending to be overbearing. It’s the same feeling here. Mira needs a break from reigning her two friends in, and if she were to date Reeve she’d have to be even more involved (because don’t lie to me and say Adam and Reeve’s issues are magically fixed) and just...my queen deserves better!

I don’t know, maybe it’s also because Mira and Reeve don’t have a lot of shipping material in the canon show to work with (Once again, where is the lamb sauce?!). I can kind of see it I guess, but ultimately this ship just isn’t for me. No shade to those who ship Mireeve though! In fact, Mireeve shippers, direct me to the vibe. I wanna understand, really.

Overall: 4.5/10

Adam x Kai x Mira/Kaimiradam:

Obviously first and foremost, this would be a Vee polyamorous relationship. Kai is dating both Adam and Mira, and Adam and Mira are good friends. This is REALLY cute to me, I just really like the idea of shy bisexual disaster getting spoiled by his boyfriend and girlfriend.

The Idea of Kai being able to say with confidence that he “gets bitches” while Adam and Mira cling onto him from either side is also really fucking funny. Hahah the nerdy social outcast has two lovers and you don’t, get rekt.

Overall: 7/10

Reeve x Skeet x Vanessa/Skeenesseeve

Just a trio of friends being pals, buddies being chums. They have lots of fun, all the time. Saturday night is for the babes.

Also Skeet and Reeve treat Vanessa like a queen, and I mean, she is one. Overall just, this slaps.

Overall: 7/10

Reeve x Kai x Vanessa/Reekainessa:

You know in my last post that I said that I would ship Vanessa and Kai only under specific circumstances? Well, this is one of them. This poly ship is like Kaimiradam but it can be a full on triad, and also instead of the bisexual disaster getting spoiled by his boyfriend and girlfriend, he’s getting pinned against the wall and dominated. Vanessa and Reeve would tease the fuck out of Kai (although I bet they also spoil him too) and god, I love that. Also Reeve and Vanessa are a power couple by themselves so just, yeah, amazing, beautiful.

Their dynamic reminds me a lot of if there were two Jesses and one James in the pokemon anime. No I will not elaborate further.

Overall: 8.5/10

buddie + coming out

Jess this got...so fucking long. I'm putting it under a cut. (send me a ship and a word and I'll give you a head canon)

Okay, so Buck first. I imagine that Buck first realized he wasn’t straight when he was in high school. He didn’t mention it to his parents because it’s not like they were that interested in who he was dating anyway. But he did come out to Maddie back then. They were driving around her jeep (coming out in cars is Real okay) and there was some cheesy pop music on the radio (it was the early 2000s) and he didn’t have the word “bisexual” just yet, but she asked if he was dating anyone/if he had a crush on someone and he said “uh...yeah. His name’s Jamie.” and she just took it in stride. Just kind of “oh, okay.” and then he added quickly “I still like girls, too, though” and since she was already through college at this point, so she knew sexuality wasn’t just gay and straight, so she didn’t even blink. “So, tell me about him” and he did. When he was done, she grinned, told him she wanted to meet Jamie some time, and turned up the radio. They drove around some more singing along to whatever cheesy pop song played next.

As far as Buck coming out as an adult, at some point in his late teens or early twenties he found the word bisexual. He never really tried to hide it, but he also never went out of his way to broadcast it. He never felt ashamed of his sexuality, per se, but he never felt proud of it either. It was just like...sometimes he dated guys, y’know? Anyways so flash forward to when he joins the 118. He doesn’t make a big deal out of it, but at some point early on Hen describes him as “a straight white boy” and he’s like “bold of you to assume I’m straight” “you’re not?” “not even a little” and leaves it at that. Sometimes he mentions hookups with guys during his 1.0 phase, but other than that he doesn’t really talk about it. He comes out to Eddie sometime in season 3, when he’s bemoaning his loneliness and Eddie says “you’ll find the right girl someday” and Buck suddenly realizes he’s never actually told Eddie he’s into guys so he responds. “Right person, actually.” and Eddie blinks twice. “What?” and Buck sighs. “I’ll find the right person, I’m bisexual.” and Eddie blinks again. “Oh...Cool…” and then they just move on.

Which brings us to Eddie. Eddie does not come to the realization that he’s queer until much later in life. He worries he might be gay in high school, because everyone else is interested in dating and girls, and he’s just. Not. Everyone always tells him that he and his good friend Shannon would make a good couple, and he’s pretty sure she has a crush on him, but he just likes her as a friend. Until one day, the summer after they graduate from high school, he looks at her and his heart starts racing and his palms are sweating but it’s not from the Texas humidity and oh my god. Is this what liking someone feels like? This is terrible, actually. But he was right about Shannon having a crush on him, so they start dating, and it’s great. And Eddie is relieved because falling in love with Shannon means he’s straight. He was just a late bloomer, like his mom said.

Anyways, so flash forward about twelve years and Eddie is starting to think he was wrong before. Oh, God, he was so wrong. He’s not sure when Buck went from his best friend to someone he was falling in love with, but it’s too late to go back now. But it’s fine. It’s fine. Buck is straight anyway, so it’s not even worth getting worked up over because it’s never going to happen and--Buck isn’t straight. Oh, hell.

And then he meets Ana, and she’s, well. She’s pretty, and he likes that she guesses his name right, but then he blows up at her and also she’s his son’s teacher, so that’s kind of weird. And then the pandemic hits, and he’s forced into close quarters with Buck and it gets impossible to deny his feelings to himself any longer. But he doesn’t know what to do about it. The problem for Eddie is that he’s only really had strong feelings for two people ever in his life, and the word ‘bisexual’ doesn’t to fit. More like ‘these two people in particular-sexual’ but that doesn’t really make sense.

So, when Ana comes back into his life, it seems like the easy way out. Nobody has to know that he has all these weird, confusing, not-heterosexual feelings. He’s 33 years old, who has a sexuality crisis at 33? Of course, the universe has other plans. He gets shot, he almost dies, and he realizes he doesn’t really feel anything for Ana and he probably never will, and predictably by the time he’s finally ready to confront his feelings and sexuality, Buck is dating Taylor. Great.

Anyways, so Eddie goes to Hen for help figuring himself out because if anyone would be able to help, his married lesbian friend seems like a very good bet. And he’s right. He explains how he’s only ever been in love with two people and that gender doesn’t seem to be a big factor in it, and she points him to the concept of asexuality and aromanticism, and more specifically demisexuality/demiromanticism and it just clicks for him. He wasn’t a “late bloomer” after all. So, I guess Hen is the first person Eddie comes out to. And he doesn’t really feel the need to come out to anyone else at that point because it’s not really anyone’s business.

Eventually, he and Buck get together. And for Buck, telling people isn’t a big deal because he’s been out as bi for years. Eddie isn’t reluctant to tell their found family, or even the rest of the 118. But he is nervous to tell his biological family. He doubts they’ll be too happy about him being with a man, let alone understand the concept of demisexuality. He starts with Abuela and Pepa, the family he’s closer to (literally and figuratively). He comes out to both of them at the same time, at Abuela’s, over a home cooked meal. He tells them that he and Buck are dating, that he loves him. Pepa puts a hand over his and gives it a gentle squeeze. “I’m proud of you,” she says. “It was about time you put that boy out of his misery.”

Eddie chokes on a surprised laugh. Then he looks at Abuela. Abuela is quiet for a minute before standing and walking around the table to where Eddie is sitting. She pulls him up to standing and gives him a tight hug. “Te quiero.”

Next he comes out to his sisters, who are pretty chill about the whole thing, and lastly his parents. His parents liked Buck when they met briefly, so if Eddie was going to be with a man, at least he picked a good one. And given that the rest of the family already knows and is supportive, it’s not like anyone would be on their side if they had a problem with it, and they want to keep seeing their grandson. So they just say “okay” and accept it in the most passive way possible.

Anyways this got SUPER DUPER long and detailed, so I’m going to end it with this: After they’ve been out (both Eddie coming out and Buck and Eddie being out as a couple) for awhile, Hen drags them to that year’s LA Pride with her, Karen, and the kids, and they end up meeting up with Michael, David, Harry and May there (and Bobby who is wearing a t-shirt that says “Free Dad Hugs” in rainbow letters, Buck takes him up on the offer immediately).
