Diablo IV’s public beta will begin in early 2023
Blizzard plans to invite some of its most dedicated fans to play Diablo IV in the coming weeks. Credit social media The studio shared details about its upcoming end-game closed beta test on Monday. 2023, The Year of Self-Sabotage
Has anyone noticed the trend businesses have been on in 2023? There's a LOT of self-sabotage going on in the business world. Throughout my life, and everyone else has their own observations too, once in a while you see a company make a boneheaded decision about their product or service. And once in a while you'll see a decision get made that is bad, but maybe it at least has some justification (even to an anti-capitalist goober like myself). But this year has been nonsensical moves of greed or product/service sabotage that make no sense for longevity or harm what's in the best interest of the consumer.
Activision-Blizzard: The Overwatch debacle, and Diablo Immortal's scummy practices.
Netflix: The account sharing debacle.
Twitter: Maximum divorced loser Elon Musk destroying its functionality and branding and we still call it Twitter.
Reddit: Inspired by Musk's stupidity, the API tools debacle. Shame on the Reddit communities for not knowing how to strike btw (you don't put a time limit on it).
Hollywood: Pulling shows and films from streaming services to declare them as failed products and somehow get a tax write-off for it.
Also Hollywood: Willing to take quarterly losses greater than the annual cost to meet the demands of two striking unions put together.
Unity: Announced in the past day that it will charge developers a fee for installations because greed.
Titan Submersible: "Safety is for losers" says billionaire who proceeds to use his shoddy tech to do a murder-suicide.
Starbucks: Breaking ALL of the labor laws to try and stop unionization. Admittedly a reach to be on this list but the situation (like all the others) is ongoing and can compound.
Embracer: A massive corporate company that bought a bunch of smaller companies. Thought a 2 billion dollar deal with the Saudi government was a sure thing, so they spent 2 billion dollars on stuff. Deal falls through, so they start closing companies they acquired.
That's just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. These aren't business decisions done for the sake of consumers. These are all decisions done to spite consumers or the workers who produce the products and services.
People try to remember years as being the "year of" something. And it's a thing I do too. For me, 2023 is the year of corporate self-sabotage.

I recently redrew my subclass ocs! Every. Single. One.
So here's all of em
oh also some of the Svs have outfit changes or little things added on or like bits of redesign
also warning:there's gonna be mentions of death and ways people die so just a fair warning
Tumblr media
here's Nyx, Kuro's subclass! They died in the Trojan war as a bystander (why was Kuro in Greece?... I don't know man...) so now they kinda go and do their own thing but they go to bother Kuro every once in a while. They often travel during the day by wearing tons of white (for less sun absorption) and covering all of their skin. They also have a bad habit of talking without thinking.
Tumblr media
next is Amira who's Hugh's subclass! She died in a car "accident" shortly after her kid passed away. She's quite motherly towards the people around her and her bag contains anything you could possibly imagine.
Tumblr media
Then it's CeeCee! (Fun fact I've drawn her 4 years in a row) she died because she was in a witch trial [she rejected a girl {this was prior to CeeCees transition} and the girl accused her of witchcraft] and she's very attached to JeJe and is all over him half of the time. [Mikuni is jealous... Little does he know JeJe has no interest in women {hc} and CeeCee has a gf]
Tumblr media
Then there's Irene who's Freya's subclass! She died in a war because she crossed dressed to get in and died on the battle field [forgot to give her an animal motif...] due to her injuries she has to wear hearing aids and she freaks out about loud noises and paints to cope
Tumblr media
Next is Jonathan! He died because he got drunk one night and might've accidentally outed himself... So... He was murdered... He also likes to cook a lot and he owns an immortal puppy (don't ask I can't handle him losing a dog.) named Diablo! He's also a massive hopeless romantic.
Tumblr media
Now there's Anita (pink) and Catherine (red) ! They're Ildio's subclasses! Anita died because she was a lady of the night and a client made her uncomfortable w his requests so she refused and he killed her. Now she's kind of hostile to really anyone new around her. She's also a massive chain smoker-
Catherine was arranged to be married to a mentally and physically abusive man who killed the actual love of her life. So on her wedding day she shot herself and now enjoys praying on people for blood so- but she's a lot nicer than Anita.
Tumblr media
This is Lilian she's Lily's subclass and honestly looks like a ghost Victorian child. My friend suggested making a character albino but I might have made her too white.... But I thought it was interesting and made her stand out more so I kept it. She died due to starvation and neglect form her parents. Her older sister who was only about a year or two older was doing her best to keep her alive but there was only so much she could do. Now the two live in the mansion and her sister works there and is still alive.
Tumblr media
Lastly we have Wisteria who's Tsubaki's subclass! They died by oding shortly after their family was brutally murdered. Now they kinda people watch for fun and flirt with Tsubaki for shits and giggles and is purely here now for the ride.
And ways this concludes my redesigns on my ocs and redesigns on some of the Svs (let's be real it's like almost all of them)
this was actually really fun to do! Maybe I'll get around to drawing the eves... One day...

Dungeon Hunter 6: A Promising Contender to Diablo Immortal
Tumblr media
Introduction
A decade ago, Dungeon Hunter 4 burst onto the mobile gaming scene, quickly winning the hearts of gamers worldwide. Fast forward to today, and we're on the cusp of the highly-anticipated release of Dungeon Hunter 6, set to launch at the end of October. As a fervent fan of action RPGs, I can't help but feel an adrenaline rush at the thought of this title, especially given its potential to challenge the reigning king, Diablo Immortal. In this article, we're going to dive deep into what Dungeon Hunter 6 brings to the table, examining its gameplay, features, and what sets it apart in the crowded world of mobile gaming.
A New Era: Dungeon Hunter 6
Tumblr media
Dungeon Hunter 6 enters the stage with a legacy to uphold. Its predecessor, Dungeon Hunter 4, had been a significant success in the mobile gaming world. However, the series is evolving, with this new iteration set to rival even the mightiest of mobile RPGs, Diablo Immortal. But how does Dungeon Hunter 6 plan to achieve this feat, and what can gamers expect from this title?
Overview
Before we delve into the specifics, let's take a moment to understand the level of anticipation that Dungeon Hunter 6 has generated. With over two million dedicated bounty hunters eagerly awaiting this adventure, it's clear that the game already has a dedicated and passionate fan base. A loyal following, after all, is a testament to the series' ability to capture the hearts and minds of players over the years.
Dungeon Hunter 6 is arriving on the scene 10 years after the release of Dungeon Hunter 4. While this is a significant time span, it also highlights the durability and the popularity of the Dungeon Hunter series. The game has continued to draw players with its MMORPG-style gameplay, providing a captivating experience that stands the test of time.
Competing with the Best
Now, let's address the elephant in the room: Diablo Immortal. This Blizzard juggernaut has dominated the mobile action RPG space, setting an incredibly high standard in both player numbers and overall quality. It's important to recognize that Dungeon Hunter 6 has a tough act to follow, with Diablo Immortal firmly in the lead. However, it's time to ask the crucial question: Can Dungeon Hunter 6 challenge the reigning king and potentially steal the crown?
Character Classes
Tumblr media
One of the exciting aspects of Dungeon Hunter 6 is its diverse range of character classes. The game introduces five unique classes, each offering distinct playstyles and abilities. Let's briefly outline what we can anticipate:
The Archer:
As the name suggests, this class is likely to be focused on ranged attacks. The Archer's stats include high health points (HP), lower defense, and strong attack capabilities.
The Assassin:
A class known for its agility and finesse, this is likely to be your go-to character for quick and precise strikes. Expect moderate HP, balanced defense, and a strong offensive arsenal.
The Warrior:
The warrior class is reminiscent of a tanky Barbarian. They will likely serve as the backbone of your team, featuring high HP, low defense, and impressive offensive power.
The Mage:
Mages are known for their spellcasting abilities. In Dungeon Hunter 6, they might be akin to wizards, with moderate HP, lower defense, and powerful magical attacks.
The Boon Sister:
The Boon Sister is a fascinating addition, and it'll be intriguing to see how she fits into the gameplay. Her character stats indicate strong attack, moderate defense, and health points, but there's a hint of mystery surrounding her role in the game.
Lieutenants
Tumblr media
A standout feature of Dungeon Hunter 6 is the ability to recruit powerful lieutenants. These lieutenants could serve as allies during your adventures, possibly enhancing your gameplay experience. The details about how exactly lieutenants will function are yet to be fully revealed, but it's a promising feature to look forward to. The prospect of switching between your character and lieutenants for tag-team combat could add an exciting dimension to the gameplay.
Creatures and Bosses
Tumblr media
The game showcases a variety of creatures and lieutenants that players will encounter throughout their journey. Some of these beings are formidable bosses, and it's unclear whether they'll fight alongside you or pose formidable challenges to overcome. The presence of such unique characters in the game hints at engaging and diverse encounters.
Game Features
Dungeon Hunter 6 has several notable features that make it stand out in the mobile RPG genre:
Graphics:
The game boasts impressive graphics, promising a visually stunning experience that will immerse players in its world.
Hack-and-Slash Battles:
The gameplay offers the classic hack-and-slash style that fans of action RPGs love.
Gear System:
The game introduces a detailed gear system, likely consisting of primary and secondary gear. The mechanics behind gear upgrades and customization are still a mystery.
Skills:
The skill system is yet to be fully revealed, leaving players curious about whether skills will automatically upgrade or require player involvement.
Clans and Squads
Tumblr media
Dungeon Hunter 6 aims to foster a strong social gaming experience. Players will be able to join clans and form squads. This feature suggests the potential for both PvE and PvP interactions, enhancing the social dimension of the game. The ability to recruit powerful lieutenants as allies might come into play in squad-based combat, and it'll be fascinating to see how this dynamic unfolds.
Setting:
Dungeon Hunter 6 is set 200 years after the events of Dungeon Hunter 5, offering a fresh perspective on the storyline.
Game Modes:
Based on the interview, it confirms that both PvP and PvE modes will be present in the game, offering a diverse range of gameplay experiences.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Dungeon Hunter 6 is shaping up to be a promising contender in the mobile action RPG genre. While it faces stiff competition from Diablo Immortal, its diverse character classes, recruitment of lieutenants, and engaging gameplay features hold the potential to captivate a dedicated player base. The game's exclusive interview and teaser trailer offer a glimpse of what's in store, and the anticipation is building.
Whether Dungeon Hunter 6 can truly challenge Diablo Immortal's dominance remains to be seen, but it's an exciting prospect for fans of the genre. This writer is eagerly awaiting the game's release and is committed to providing first impressions and live streams upon its launch. To stay updated on all things Dungeon Hunter 6, consider subscribing to our channel. The battle for supremacy in the mobile action RPG world is about to begin, and it's an adventure worth embarking on.

I kinda cursed myself by getting into Diablo, which I've written about before. Because Activision-Blizzard is a terrible company. They are horrible towards their employees first and foremost, and have been for decades. Especially their women workers, who have made credible allegations of a culture of misogyny. They have had a massive lawsuit about this in the 2020s but even Diablo II was made using horrible crunch back in the late 1990s.
Their treatment of their customers is of course a far lesser evil, they have just been assholes to them. Still just looking at the Diablo series, there are examples of pretty much all the bad practices triple-a game studios towards customers have made in the last 20 years.
Diablo III is infamously one of the first notable examples of always-online DRM, despite the game having a single-player campaign. Now the game servers have stayed up a remarkably long time for Diablo III, because it was widely succesful (the fourth best-selling pc game of all time according to wikipedia with 20 million copies sold). But requiring a central server to play will mean the game will eventually die when the server is shut down. And not “die” in the sense that you can’t buy it anymore or can’t play multiplayer, it will die in the sense that you can’t ever play it at all anymore. This is despite the game having a substantial single-player campaign. This is a terrible practice for game preservation and I encourage you to join this campaign against it.
And Diablo III also had a foretaste of the predatory monetization to come, with the infamous real money auction house, that was so bad that it got shut down by Blizzard after a few years. But it was just a prologue to what would come with the next major installment: Diablo Immortal.
Immortal is a mobile game that became a meme right from its announcement. That was because the announcement that it would be mobile-only was greeted with boos at Blizzcon. And we should keep in mind that Blizzcon is a convention just for Blizzard games that cost 199 dollars to attend at the time (now it costs 299 dollars), so a very receptive audience to Blizzard’s bullshit, and Blizzard still got deservedly booed.
And then the actual game released, and it had such predatory monetization that it got nicknamed Diablo Immoral. I use the site macrotransactions.org, which grades games according to the presence of predatory monetization and they gave Diablo: Immortal a well-deserved F.
And this trend has only continued with the recent Diablo IV, which is again always-online and has predatory microtransactions.
Not that Diablo II is free from Blizzard bullshit. Both the original and remastered versions of Diablo II can only be bought from Blizzard’s own website, which I wouldn’t begrudge them if they didn’t also have DRM.
The installer for the original Diablo II only requires a key code you either got from the CD or e-mailed to you when you purchased it digitally. So not so bad. The original Diablo II however kinda shows its age and has always been a janky game, despite patches it still has serious bugs like the lying character screen. And the game shows its ages otherwise, despite the excellent art design, the game is also resolution locked to 800 x 600, and that’s only after you install the expansion. And the base game plus expansion still costs 20 dollars, despite being more than 20 years old and not properly patched.
It’s the kind of game that deserves a remaster. And Blizzard thought the same and released a remastered version in 2021, Diablo II: Resurrected that attempts to fix these issues. But the catch is that it also upped the DRM, this time the game requires you to “check in” online at least every 30 days, so the remastered game is just as doomed as III and IV when the servers shut down.
You just can’t win with Activision-Blizzard. The only Diablo game that actually feels worth getting legitimately is the first Diablo, which you can buy drm-free on GOG, and reasonably cheap too when there is a sale.
And it’s not that the games are bad either. They have very talented programmers, writers and artists working for them (which they treat horribly). Diablo II despite the jankyness is a great game, a very good sequel to the excellent first game that massively expands the scope of the series in interesting ways while remaining true to the first game.
I recently watched Noah Caldwell-Gervais’s excellent franchise retrospective video on the series, and he has played all the games, and finds much to praise about even the most reviled entries of the series. Even Diablo: Immortal, despite being a mobile game with predatory monetization, is a full-fledged entry into the series, a proper meaty action RPG with lots of story content. We will actually lose something valuable when the servers are shutdown.
The problem with Blizzard is not that they make bad games. It’s just that they are an evil company, which mistreats its workers (especially the women), ruthlessly monetizes their artistic efforts, and DRMs so badly that it will eventually destroy the games entirely once they are no longer profitable.
At this rate I can at best recommend getting Diablo I from GOG when it’s cheap in a sale, anything else is too heavy with Blizzard’s nonsense to really recommend. And "gamer boycotts" are kinda worthless, so I won't call for one, but I'll admit supporting that kind of company is worth questioning.
And frankly if you want to get into action rpgs, I would recommend playing Torchlight 1 and 2 instead of getting into Diablo. The Torchlight games are very much “Diablo-clones”, spiritual successors to the older series and clearly modeled on Diablo 1 and 2. But the gameplay is so polished, with many added quality-of-life features and way less bugs than Diablo II, that they improve the player experience enough to fully justify being so derivative. And they are not made or published by Activision-Blizzard, so you can buy both of them on GOG without DRM. Torchlight deserves its own post, and there are other worthy diablo-clones out there (i’ve played a bit of Dungeon Siege and enjoyed it). The positive legacy of Diablo lives on, despite Blizzard’s best attempts to pollute it.

Harold Halibut - Demo Feedback
Archived from Steam thread.
(Context: I have about 10 years of experience in indie game development, in various roles--including programming, art asset creation, playtesting and feedback). Mainly in story-focused 2D games, though I've also been involved with 3D games. I mention this because my experience with 3D game development is fairly limited. So I'm likely not seeing the whole picture here.)
I will be approaching composing this post from a problem-solving standpoint. Like I am being asked to give feedback on how to help reduce the file size of a game to something more reasonable.
This was going to be my feedback on optimisation, which was based on an assumption on the models being 3D scanned: Looking at the animation, the assets are handmade irl (like stop-motion), then animated digitally. It creates this surreal, full-body puppet-costume effect with the movement, which is very nostalgic for me (positive). So I think the devs 3D scanned (using photogrammetry) every model and prop into the game, but may not have reduced the vertex amount (or not reduced it as much as they could have). This would explain why this adventure game's file size is bigger than Diablo Immortal, Palworld, or Persona 5 Royal (which are part of a different genre of games with different file size expectations).
However, after reading through this thread, I realise that a significant portion of the file is owed to textures. Though I was apparently correct on my guess about the use of photogrammetry. I can't take a look at the models' topology myself, but if the vertex amount can be reduced further and have "smooth shading" and wrinkle maps added to models (in case it hasn't already), I suggest experimenting with that as well.
While I can't look under the hood myself and look through the game's files (in a pre-compiled-build state), I would suggest trying to find more ways to reduce the files' size, whether they are texture files or not. A developer has stated that the decision was made to not reduce the texture quality further, so perhaps there are other options not yet fully explored? Are all the audio files converted to .ogg or another small file type? How much of the files are packed up into archives when the build is compiled? What file types are the textures? Can they be converted to another file type that can be read by the game's engine that is smaller in size yet doesn't drastically reduce image quality?
Please understand, my words come from a place of admiration for this game. Of watching this game's development over time and wanting it to succeed with the best foot forward it can. Optimisation is held up as important for demo development, as a demo is a form of introduction to people interested in playing the full game. It is for this reason that I urge the development team to concentrate focus on optimising the file size down considerably.
It is clear to me that Harold Halibut is a labour of love, and I wish for this game to be as accessible as possible to people who love adventure games (which tend to be folks who often use laptops to play them--if the Nancy Drew fandom is to be listened to). I look forward to the full release of this game, and hope that this file size issue is but a bump in the game's long journey can be overcome and resolved.

What is my immortal?
Ohhhh boy. Ok. Sit down.
My Immortal (wikipedia page) is the most famous fanfiction of all time. Couple disclaimers: it's almost not well-written enough to qualify for trigger warnings, but it does touch on a lot of triggers that I won't list off here. It is also, theoretically, tangentially, supposedly, "harry potter" fanfiction. However, harry is now known as Vampire, hermione is now B'loody Mary Smith, ron is Diablo, etc. A lot of the characters are now vampires and everyone is "goth" except the characters the author doesn't like, who are preps and posers. Also in one of the author's notes I think the writer ("Tara") literally says she hasn't read the books and it's based off "the movie". So like, it's connections to harry potter are tenuous at best and I'm not recommending you read anything beyond the first paragraph anyway, just putting that out there.
It's first person, follows a self-insert OC, and is entirely a fabrication of the writer's indulgence. It's one of those things that has gone down in fandom history and most people have read the first chapter, but we hadn't read more (AN: I don't recommend you do) so we had a read in the group chat and I either lost braincells or gained code-cracking skills trying to parse through the misspellings (both accidental and purposeful). A lot of people think it's a troll fic (which like, yeah makes sense) but there's a case to be made for it being a young tween's idea of a cool and edgy story that she and her friend made up and don't understand why everyone is hating on. I also think the world is a more beautiful place if it's sincere. The writer has managed to remain anonymous and undoxxed, which I am VERY grateful for, for her sake, even if I do desperately want to know the "real" story behind it and how she feels about its meme-status. Many people have come forward claiming to be the author and having done it as satire, but every one of them was a lying poser and a prep.
Below the cut is the opening of the famous "first chapter" (which only has a few more sentences in it after this anyway) for your reading pleasure. You really don't need to read any more than that, this is the part that became a meme and it only goes downhill from here. Also, "AN" (or "A/N") is "Author's Note" and yeah people really did used to just stick them in the middle of a fic, at least bad ones.
Hi my name is Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way and I have long ebony black hair (that’s how I got my name) with purple streaks and red tips that reaches my mid-back and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Amy Lee (AN: if u don’t know who she is get da hell out of here!). I’m not related to Gerard Way but I wish I was because he’s a major fucking hottie. I’m a vampire but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I’m also a witch, and I go to a magic school called Hogwarts in England where I’m in the seventh year (I’m seventeen). I’m a goth (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black corset with matching lace around it and a black leather miniskirt, pink fishnets and black combat boots. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside Hogwarts. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

This Summer of Gaming really drives home Blizzard’s fall from grace because even though they gave two great showings (Overwatch 2 being free-to-play and Diablo 4), literally nobody is celebrating or giving them credit or praising them. It’s just leery caution at best, scornful mockery at worst.
I saw somebody remark that if Diablo 4 was coming out five or ten years earlier it’d be their dream game, but now all they can think is ”how will Blizzard fuck this up, how will they unethically monetize it, what controversy will they get into next?”. And I realized I was thinking the same thing. Diablo 4 looks AWESOME but I just can’t get excited because it’s coming off the heels of a whole massive conga-line of Blizzard awfulness and especially off the heels of Diablo Immortal.

Leigh plays Tellius prt 12
Tumblr media
I forgot how dramatic Geoffrey can be. But I guess with a best friend like Bastian, he would have to be a little dramatic.
Tumblr media
I love how Ike continues to value his work as a mercenary above everything else. Of course, I don't think this high level of integrity is common amongst mercenary groups, but the Greil Mercs have always been different. Like how Greil himself would take work without pay, if it meant helping out someone in need. They fight for people, not for ideals such as honor or glory.
Tumblr media
Now, I remember this map giving me so much trouble when I was a kid. This was the map that had me give up on not losing any units. I remember sacrificing Calill here, back in 2007, just so I could finally advance to the next chapter.
So when it came time to face this map again, 16 years later, I was feeling rather nervous.
Turns out I had no reason to be nervous, because I wiped the floor with all the enemies without issue. The boss gave me a scare at first, when I realized he was activating a skill in battle. I was afraid it was Resolve, but it turned out to be Parity, which was far less intimidating.
Tumblr media
What a gorgeous scene! I love this moment between Elincia and her retainers. Their friendship is so great, and I'm glad that they got to be reunited.
Tumblr media
This may be my shipper goggles blinding me again, but... was there something in that letter you don't want others seeing, Tibarn?
Tumblr media
I understand where he's coming from, but it is jarring to be see a young boy say "Kill 'em all!"
Tumblr media
Love this base conversation. Ike cannot be bothered to figure out what the hell Bastian is talking about half the time. And we learn that, though Ike's not a fan of desserts, he does drink tea! Unsweetened, I imagine, but still. Idk why, but I really love the idea of manly man Ike sitting down and having a cup of tea. Maybe he even used to have tea parties with Mist as a child. Too cute!
Tumblr media
Here comes Largo. I do think this entire conversation is hilarious enough to justify Largo's existence as a playable unit, but otherwise I have never used him and probably never will. That being said, I love his character development in Radiant Dawn, where he goes from a fame-seeking beserker for hire to a humble restaurant owner and doting father.
Tumblr media
I made Jill another custom javelin, and I named it Diablo because of how much it cost. Plus it's red, to match her armor!
Tumblr media
Funniest NPC? Funniest NPC.
Tumblr media
They don't go into it, but I can imagine that Soren must be really nervous at this moment. He's about to lead a discussion in front of an army that includes judgemental Begnion knights, beast laguz, and hawk laguz, including the king of the hawk laguz. That's a lot of pressure, especially for a character who doesn't feel comfortable talking to anyone that isn't Ike. He did a brilliant job, though! It probably helps that he has an A rank with Ike now, so his biggest insecurity has been put to rest.
Kudos, Soren! You're going to need that growing confidence when you're promoted to chief strategist of the Laguz Alliance.
Tumblr media
I love how Ike is just so taken off guard here. This conversation also raises some questions for me. Namely, how long do pegasi live? Didn't Elincia say that this one belonged to her great-grandmother? Are they just like... immortal?
Tumblr media
Time to seize Fort Pinell! This map is a little intimidating due to its sheer size, especially it doesn't have many choke points. However, I managed to beat this map on my first try. Luckily, they let you take a ridiculous amount of units, so I managed to just cross the field by lining up my defensive fighters in a long vertical wall to keep my squishies protected. Meanwhile, Ike, Soren, and Ranulf destroyed the entire upper right section of the map all by themselves.
Tumblr media
The Black Knight fight is coming!! I'm so nervous ahhhhhh
Tumblr media
It was also around this point that I realized that it would be nearly impossible to achieve one of my goals. I intended to get Ranulf to level 20 with as many capped stats as possible. Unfortunately, after doing the math, it looks like the only stats it's possible to cap are strength and defense, because you get him so late in the game, and his stat caps are so ridiculously high.
For example, you get him at level 9, which means he will only level up 11 times. In order to cap his strength, he has to level up strength 10 times, which is possible, but not without a lot of resetting. Meanwhile, in order to cap his defense, he has to level up his defense 13 times, which is only possible if you get him to level up defense Every Single Level, plus give him a Draco Shield for that +2 defense.
As much as I love Ranulf, I want to use that Draco Shield for someone else if I can. So in the end, I only capped his strength. And I was only able to do so by burning through the rest of my bexp. Ugh!
Was this worth it, or a massive waste of resources?
Probably the latter, but what's done is done.
Either way, Ike's 1v1 match with the Black Knight is imminent. I would like to save Nasir if I can, so I'm hoping that I get lucky with triggering Aether.

@myimmortalfan666 , please check this out.
I decided to make AI write the end to My Immortal. I had done it before but I had only given it the last chapter. Now however, I basically force fed it the entire story. I did edit slightly, but I was mostly just adding a word or two to guide ai in the right direction. so here we go. the rest was it's own doing. this starts out directly after Ebony cast the spell.
A bright light fell on all of us. Da heavens opened and Snozzy Kens (Draco’s hogus uncle) came in and brought Voldemort back. Voldemort died and there was silence.
“Is da dragon dead??” Dumbledark asked with is lil lilting and hurt voice.
“I love you all” I giggled innocently but I was crying from the anger of my friends and I knew they loved me all too much to hurt me by killing me but I had to save them.
“You won’t die nd we won’t die”yelled Dumbledore strong as a Lion. (Me da Legend)
Dumbledore then closed da portal and Harry kos the pieces into a white box and da skull joined the box.
I then ran up to Draco and and I kissed him and started screaming for joy.
“Thank you Draco!!!” I shouted and I kissed him agin and kissed him agin and kissed him agin then I hugged him and he kissed me on the top of my head.
“Draco you are all mine!!!!” I told him.
“Yes I am” he nodded.
“I love you Dracooooooo” I said in a sing-song voice. I hugged him hard.
“I love you Ebony!!11111” He said.
“I love you too” I said as he wrapped his big arm around me“Stay young and beautiful like me”
“In that case just stay my love and I will stay yours and we will live our lives happily ever after” he said and we made out as our legs drug up da grassy fields of England
Forever and ever and ever and ever till I die and love with Draco.
Epilogue
We walked up da bridge. It was in Janurary which was when I was born. I was wearing a Black pair of jeans and a black long sleeved shirt. My hair was in braids.
It is my 21st Birthday. I was feeling good. Not like I do now. I felt good.
"Ebony?" asked Draco.
"What?" I said
"Will you marry me?" he asked me.
I was flattered
"Of course Draco. I will marry you and live happily ever after with you" I said with a smile.
"Thank you" He said.
And he kissed me.
We walked side by side and we sat on da bridge of love.
A yera later
It was our wedding. We had the biggest wedding ever. It was in Febuary.
I was wearing a long lacey black dress and black heels.
Harry and Diablo were best men.
Willow and Bloody Mary were bridesmaides
I walked down the isle with a bouquet of black roses (my favorite flower).
I was married to the love of my life Draco Blaize and I was happy.
8 years late
It was our 8th wedding anniversary. We have been living happily ever after in their house on Dragonor Street.
We had a beautiful baby girl Ebony Rose Blaize who was two years old.
We lived in Dragonor Street and loved each other.

Design Disagreement
So I’m playing a game called Rise of Cultures, which is basically Civ series except not strategic and extremely chill? It’s got a research system but it’s on pretty heavy rails. Your main resources are Workers and research points and real-world time, and then...resources. Like, wool and bronze and stone and so on. And the whole thing boils down to, set workers to doing something, wait until it’s done, gather enough resources to build/upgrade the next thing or unlock the next research, if it’s a build/upgrade assign workers to it, on and on and ever upward.
There are two things I find kind of repulsive in the design.
First, it has various places where I’m pretty sure that by the math you get worse at something, in an oblique way, by upgrading the building that does it. This is...incredibly stupid.
The best example is the farms. You hit a certain upgrade level and farms now need 5 workers to man them instead of 4. But they only produce 10% more food now. At the point where this happens you have 4 farms and 18 workers. So if you upgrade your 4 farms you literally can’t produce as much, because you upgraded. Using all 4 farms to produce 300 every 2 minutes would get you 600 a minute. You upgrade and now you can only use 3 farms to produce 330 for 495 a minute, and you’re only using one less worker!
Second, it has different options for time scale of food gathering. You have one kind of farm that gives you food every 2 minutes, or 10, or 60. Then the other farm gives you food every 2 hours, or 4, or 6. As a general system I like this! It gives the player control over how much they want to interact, with the lower time counts giving extra flexibility for swapping your workers around to other tasks if you’re paying close attention to the game.
The problem is the ouptut. The game gives you more resources/minute for shorter gathers. At base level the 2-minute gather is about 100 food a minute, and the 6-hour gather is less than 50 food a minute. You’re allowed to queue up 3 gathers, so if you want to do the 2-minute gather you’re babysitting the game every 6 minutes or less, which is absolutely mind-killing. And because one of the things that holds up other tasks all the time is shortage of food, advancing quickly will call for getting food as fast as you can.
I respect that it’s not up to developers to actively stop players from playing in un-fun ways. If you make a strategy game you can’t reasonably stop players from using bad strategies that lose all the time. You can’t stop Pokemon players from collecting every Pokemon and trying to keep them all at the same level as they advance even though that becomes exponentially harder with time. You can only do your best to make sure all strategies are visible as possibilities, so the players are empowered to decide how they want to play, from super easy to nuzlocke.
But
a) This fact isn’t immediately obvious. The farm just presents 3 tiers, with Little/Medium/Lots of food as the reward and a tiny time cost underneath. So I’d been playing for over a week before I recognized that the food/time ratio was getting worse when you invested more time. and
b) This design, especially in a game where food can be a block on progression, recommends the worst way to play the game. You should be optimizing your game’s strategies, if you’re putting a thumb on the scale at all, toward recommending the most fun way to play. Unlike the player-hostile designs in, say, Diablo Immortal, or Neverwinter, this bad design doesn’t even serve the developers. The systems that reward you for coming back 1-2 times a day serve the developers great; They keep the whales engaged enough and 1-2 times a day is also how often they let the free players watch ads for in-game loot. Making players want to be constantly on will just lead to faster burnout.
c) Larger time investments have their drawback baked in. You’re committing your workers to be useless for all other stuff for X time. Cutting it short gives you nothing. All else aside, having the longer gather produce less per minute just feels wrong.
If you want constant engagement in your game you should include a minigame. You should be giving your player something to constantly do, in your game. You shouldn’t make it so players get more by manually telling their farms “yes, keep doing that” every 2-6 minutes.

                                                  𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐘?
HEADCANONS
her full name is sibella țepeș drăculea,  but she gave up on using it just before entering high school. while sibella is very proud of being a vampire, it could get a little annoying explaining how to properly pronounce her name, which is romanian. so she settled for dracule instead of drăculea, and rarely mentions her middle name!
while sibella presents herself as a vampire, she is more specifically a dhampir — the union between a vampire and a human. what this means is that she has all the abilities of a vampire and few to none of their weaknesses. an example of that is the fact that she can walk in the sun, though she's a huge advocate of wearing sunscreen. never leaves home without it!
on a similar note, because her mother is human, sibella doesn't really feel the oh-so-famous thirst for human blood. she enjoys it, it's very delicious, but she doesn't need it to live. in fact, she's recently discovered a drink recipe that tastes very similar to human blood; she calls it her 'v juice'!
sibella's voice is one of the most distinguishing features about her. it's very gentle and sweet, but also a bit raspy and whisper-like. she's not a very loud person, preferring to let her fellow ghoul friends scream and howl!
she is the proud mother of an albino snake named carmilla, and loves to spoil the little creature. carmilla presence helps her feel a little more connected to home. she also has a familiar; a raven called lestat.
she is very protective of her friends, and often takes on the role of mom friend of the group. it just feels like a natural fit to her, and it's been this way with all of her other friends, humans or not, ever since she met the other ghouls.
she's a huge, huge fan of volleyball!  never stopped caring about it, even after high school. she's always looking for a new opportunity to brush up on her skills!
because she's of vampiric nature , sibella might come across as a big flirt. however, that's not always the case. she's just a very kind person and her supernatural allure sometimes makes it come across like she's flirting, though she doesn't mind it much since it often gets people to treat her nicely. who doesn't love to be treated well?!

I'm working on a video review of Marvel Snap at the moment and I was hoping to get some feedback from people who have played it. I've played it myself obviously but I would appreciate your input as well regardless of if your opinion is positive or negative, as long as it's honest then I'm interested.
If you could answer the following I would appreciate it.
Questions:
Are you okay with me referencing your input in my video?
What is your general opinion of Marvel Snap?
In your opinion did it deserve to win Best Mobile Game at the 2022 Game Awards? To refresh your memory the other Nominations for Best Mobile Game were Apex Legends Mobile, Diablo Immortal, Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy.
Roughly how much time would you say you've spent playing Marvel Snap?
During your time playing have you experienced any bugs or glitches? If so are you able to describe them? (I would like to try an replicate them for the video)
Do you play any other deck building mobile games? If so which?
What is your opinion of micro-transactions?
Any other comments related to Marvel Snap?
Thanks in advance!

I know you mostly write about nephalem and stuff but I'm trying to write tal rasha and am unsure about his characterisation. There's so little content on him and the other horadrim that I'm not sure what to do. Any tips on how to proceed?
Any new info from the horadric library would also help.
Tal'Rasha has two main appearances to draw from; his roles in Diablo Immortal, and The Tomb of Tal'Rasha short story in Tales. In Diablo IM he first appears as an NPC that you can fight alongside against Baal, and briefly as a spirit in a different quest line. In Tales he punks the shit out of Baal while they're both imprisoned.
I've found him to be a confident, courageous, self-sacrificing leader sort. Zoltun Kulle laments about Tal'Rasha rushing into danger, and worries for his safety. He's one to take risks, but only for himself.
He's also rather jovial even in the midst of fighting the Lord of Destruction, and takes his own imprisonment in stride.

youtube
Now as for his story in Tales, we really see him at his best. The story begins with Baal being bound into him, and chronicles how Baal tortures his mind.
It's a great read tbh, if you can get your hands on Tales its worth it.
Tal'Rasha is very mentally stable, and very good at piecing himself back together. With each vision Baal sends him - trying to corrupt his memories and confuse his mind - he's losing a little bit more of his sanity, and he knows it. Baal is damn good at torture. And Tal'Rasha is damn stubborn.
Interestingly, Zoltun Kulle is the horadrim who comes up the most. He worries after Tal'Rasha in the beginning, as he's being bound, and Baal immediately jumps on that to make him doubt. But Tal'Rasha continues to believe in his choice, and in the other Horadrim.
The story culminates in Tal'Rasha mentally playing a little trick on Baal, the same way Baal has been playing tricks on him. He imagines that there is a way for Baal to free himself, and that he does, only to end up in a mirror maze of the Tomb of Tal'Rasha.
Eventually, he escapes...into the Secret Cow Level.
After mowing down some Moos and wandering through the tomb a little more, Baal eventually slinks back to Tal'Rasha, and realizes he'd been tricked.
Baal, notably, considers Tal'Rasha to be extremely stuffy and boring. He thinks his mind his simple and easy to manipulate because of how neat and compartmentalized is, he's annoyed by how much Tal'Rasha believes in Justice and The Light, and how he thinks Knowledge is enough to save himself. Baal does, however, start to confuse even himself about events because of how often he fucks with Tal'Rasha's mind. He's extremely irritated by how long Tal'Rasha has been resisting him, and humiliated by the cow incident.
Overall, I'd say Tal'Rasha is one of the best Sanctuary had to offer, and Tyrael made the right choice when he picked him as leader of the Horadrim.
Really makes you wonder how thinks might've gone different if Baal's soulstone hadn't been damaged, and he'd lived to combat Diablo. I think not having him to hold things together is part the reason the Horadrim fell apart. It's part of why Zoltun Kulle turned to his work on the Black Soulstone. He probably wouldn't have, had Tal'Rasha lived, and we wouldn't have had the whole rigamarole with The Prime Evil in D3.

2022 Gaming Wrap-Up
What a year, huh? 2022 has had everything from international invasions and stubborn diseases to countless celebrities making a joke of themselves and more superhero shows than anyone asked for. It was basically impossible to predict what was coming next, but if one thing is for sure, the world of video game culture had an absolute banger of a year - long-anticipated sequels, several film and TV adaptations, and what seems to be the hundredth GTA 5 re-release. As we gear up for an exciting new year with plenty of promising upcoming releases, let’s take a moment to look back at 2022 and figure out just what was going on in that mess.
Tumblr media
JANUARY-MARCH    The year was off to a rocky start, with the announcement that E3 would once again be cancelled due to COVID concerns. These last three years have been rough for the world’s biggest gaming convention; 2020 saw the first-ever cancellation in 25 years, 2021 featured an online-only version of the event, and now it’s been cancelled for the second time. Thankfully, the Entertainment Software Association that hosts E3 stated that they planned to re-open the event for 2023, but time will tell if that remains possible by then.   In brighter news, the Steam Deck was released in February, a handheld platform for on-the-go access to Steam’s entire gaming library. Just keep an eye on the battery life - you’ll likely get only an hour or two of God of War before it hits the red. The first three months of the year also featured the release of some highly-anticipated new games: Horizon: Forbidden West continued the award-winning story of Zero Dawn, Kirby and the Forgotten Land brought a return to the cute and occasionally terrifying Dream Land, and the long-awaited Elden Ring dominated sales as the year’s best-selling title.
Tumblr media
APRIL-JUNE    After a hectic start to the year, things slowed down a little in the second quarter. A handful of smaller events were held in lieu of E3, starting with the Summer Games Fest, including announcements for The Callisto Protocol and Goat Simulator 3. The second Sonic the Hedgehog film was also released to positive reception, while the Halo series on Paramount+ was released to…much less positivity. It appears that video game adaptations are still hit-or-miss, but at least we’ve improved since the old 1993 live-action Super Mario Bros. movie. We don’t talk about that one.   Back to the actual games, Diablo Immortal was released in June; while it was a passably decent mobile game, it also serves as an early example of the worrying trend of microtransactions coming from Blizzard Entertainment. With extremely predatory (and concerningly effective) pay-to-win mechanics, Immortal continues to push Blizzard into their downward spiral that began last year. They’ve come a long way since the days where they were once at the height of the respected developers list, and their chances of clawing their way back up seem grim. At least LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and The Quarry brought some much-appreciated quality to this month’s games library.
Tumblr media
JULY-SEPTEMBER    Video game history was made at the start of the year’s second half, with the biggest leak ever: Grand Theft Auto 6. That’s right, after 9 whole years since the original release of GTA 5, we finally have concrete confirmed proof of a sequel, all thanks to a devastating leak revealing a massive new open-world map and over an hour of early gameplay. Rockstar Games confirmed the validity of the 90+ leaked videos, and went on to say that while it would not impact the game’s development, they were extremely disappointed by their hard work being revealed by some random hacker. Leaks may be fun and exciting for the fans, but developers keep things under wraps for a reason!   Back beyond the controllers, another game adaptation was started in September: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a Netflix anime series based on Cyberpunk 2077. It was met with near-universal praise, exploring the dangerous streets of Night City in a way that the game never did with unique characters and a compelling new story. It’s a bright sign for video game adaptations, and here’s hoping it opens the way for more high-quality game series. For those that prefer the games themselves, the adorably demonic Cult of the Lamp took the roguelike genre by storm, Stray told a fascinating story through the eyes of a cute little kitty, and Splatoon 3 quickly jumped to the top of millions of Switch players’ libraries within days of release.
Tumblr media
OCTOBER-DECEMBER    Things always seem to ramp up in the gaming community towards the end of the year, with plenty of major new releases on top of the Game Awards that were held in early December. Two of the year’s biggest releases came out around this time; God of War: Ragnarok, the climactic follow-up to Kratos’ 2018 Norse adventure, and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet bringing one of the world’s largest franchises to its’ next generation. The massive RPG Elden Ring managed to topple the competition as 2023’s Game of the Year, while Splatoon 3 won a well-deserved Best Multiplayer Game.   Additionally, October saw the release of DC’s open-world RPG Gotham Knights, bringing co-op to the beloved Arkham series but falling short on matching its’ iconic combat mechanics. Meanwhile, Overwatch 2 launched with fun new gameplay held back by yet more of Blizzard’s monetization schemes. The bizarre combination of Super Mario with the chaotic Rabbids returned with Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, and the hair-raising survival horror of The Callisto Protocol hit the best-selling list within a week of release. Overall, the end of the year looks to be full of all kinds of exciting games, a perfect way to spend the holidays as 2022 draws to a close.
Tumblr media
LOOKING FORWARDS    With 2022 almost over, it’s time to make those new year’s resolutions and set our sights on the future. 2023 already has quite a few exciting new releases planned, like Spider-Man 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. On top of that, two games will be getting the silver screen adaptation treatment, including The Last of Us being turned into a HBO series starring the Mandalorion himself, Pedro Pascal, as Joel Miller. The animated Super Mario Bros. Movie also has a newly-revealed release date for April, with absolutely beautiful visuals that will faithfully bring all your favourite Mario levels straight to the big screen. If things go according to plan, we’ll also be back at E3 in 2023 after the convention’s spotty attendance in the last three years, so get ready to scramble for those tickets.
2023 looks to be following the welcome trend of great singleplayer gaming still going strong - it’s not all about online multiplayer these days despite what it might seem, and I for one am very glad to keep playing solo all year long if I can. See you in the new year, everyone!   Happy Holidays!       - An Aussie Button-Masher

What type of games is your dad playing
This might be hard to find out for you, but for a bunch of older-generation videos and Pc gamers like us is very simple. We give the top 5 genres for every kind of Dad. Mobile games are not included. We include also games you can connect with your Dad.
Yes, everyone is playing these free games and we love them. We will not be talking here about Fantasy Football. There are big e-sports competitions all around the world and actually, millions just like to watch other people playing like a football WorldCup. The most popular games this time right now are Ego shooters like Fortnite. The game has a healthy population of between 2.9 and 4 million users playing Fortnite on a daily. Many Kids have permission to play it because of the cartoonish style. Is still a shooting game .....
Warzone alias Modern warfare, alias Call of duty is popular since the PlayStation 2 era. In a time when the PS was grey and in this time very affordable in every household. They just remake it for every platform with a new story. Most Dads at this time have their best time and might unite back with their old clan. There are also Overwatch, Apex, Destiny 2, Warframe., Pubg, and Counter-Strike.
For more strategy or roleplayer genre Games we recommend Dota 2, Star Wars the old republic, and Diablo Immortal. There are many more but they are the most popular with lifetime never-ending updates.
All of these games are free to play but in-game purchases are very common for this kind. More resources, a new weapon, or just a season pass... you name it. Unfortunately, they are not all on the same platform. It might be Steam, Xbox, PlayStation Store,
The beauty of the genre is that you use your brain and imagination. They are stress relieving. Every good action game adventure has its own character of fascination, The landscape and some NPC are perfectly detailed and just beautiful, and the battle system is perfectly balanced I will show here some games every dad like to play or is at least interested in it.
God of War. This game is going far back in the past on all PlayStation platforms. The story follows Kratos, a Spartan warrior and later the Greek God of War, who was tricked into killing his family by his former master, the original Greek God of War Ares, and later Zeus himself.
Now the God of war is back and he has a son now you don't know that his father a god is. It's a beautiful Father and child bonding story just a Dad would understand. Trust me on this. You don't have to play the first 3 games of this genre, there are more hack and slay. However, I recommend playing or owning first the God of war game which is about 1000 years after the trilogy for about 20 bucks, and then the newest God of War Ragnarok where their adventure continue.
Eldering
Since the game launched not so long time ago, most of them agree that it's beautiful, detailed, and absorbing, but intimidating for newcomers. While critics seem to concur that it will stand as one of the best video games of the year, The main reason for Elden Ring's initial popularity was how difficult the game is. Not only are the battles incredibly challenging, especially with some of the game's most ferocious and deadly bosses, but players are also punished significantly if they die. This game is for hardcore gamers and is best with the Dark soul games years back to the mirror.
we make this game our top 2 number two because is very simple to play together online. In Roblox, each player can create games and maps for other people to try and play, making it a challenge in and of its own.
There is for every genre something. The requirements to play online are minimal, works on a laptop with no graphics card and android systems. You just have to create an Account with 2 different Email addresses.
It is the perfect game for Dads to start connecting with their Kids. Just try it out. There is also an in-game purchase available called Robux.
With over 238 million copies sold, according to Mojang, Minecraft is hands down the best-selling game in the world. For a game to achieve over 100 million copies sold is a momentous feat that only a tiny handful of games have accomplished, and Minecraft has rocketed past that into significant milestone after milestone.
and besides, that is like Lego in digital. And Lego is for every age, Studies have found evidence that video games can increase processing speed, cognitive flexibility, working memory, social skills, and problem-solving skills. Hands up it is the best long-term game for dads.
Hope it was helpful to everyone. There is much more content to check out on Fatherlygifts
Every comment would make us happy. Subscribe for the new content.
