so i been thinking about going the way of the Dad™©® and starting a queer trans blacksmithing podcast. itd be about trades with a focus on queer history in them and blacksmithing/forging/metalworking ect.

id hopefully be able to do interviews and talk to other people in the crafting/d.i.y/art community, id want the podcast to be very beginner friendly and encouraging to join communities

any thoughts?

i feel like we, as a fandom, don’t utilize A Link Between Worlds (outside of the existence of Ravio) enough. we should talk about Gulley and the blacksmiths and irene and the fact that Legend would likely say stuff like “blew his stack” and “thataway.” albw is a great game and offers lots of interesting avenues to go w Legend’s characterization.

i try to look something up about viking women, and it says academics arent sure about if they were warriors or not, but almost all these pages talk abt foreigners surprised at the liberty of women in these areas, and then i think abt vinland saga and the women in general, much less them being possible warriors, feel very irrelevant all together

#personal #not that they had more rights or equal to than men but i feel if historically all these other places are surprised there should be a bit #more emphasis on them? and also its not supposed to be realistic completely #ketil's farm arc the wife is overlooked and rarely there. ylva feels like an exception w blacksmithing but is rarely there too #thorfinn's mom didnt have much abt her... and i cant really remember any other women. canute's sister didnt do much #then gudrid is shown as failing at household work.#the manga is MUCH goofier than the anime too. its not exactly trying to be truly realistic.

Speaking about the previous post, here's proof of his blacksmithing abilities and how he adds the final result to a character's backstory. How cool is that? As if I didn't find him awesome before. Impossible not to feel attracted to him, he seems like an interesting person to get to know.
