As for what made me happy? I have seen God work this week in a way that I had never experienced before. I see him using me, and teaching me so much in the process. He is faithful, and He is trustworthy.

tell me about Saint Francis de Sales and his writing!! (i wanna Learn? if that’s ok? i know nothing about saints sadly and im curious)

YES BESTIE!!!!!

SO he lived in like 16th/17th century France and his dad wanted him to be a lawyer for Politics so he sent him to Padua. Francis returned with his doctorate but asked his dad if he could be a priest instead and after a lot of persuasion he convinced him to give his blessing!

St Francis de Sales was known specifically for his kindness and patience when debating/speaking to those he disagreed with and in his writings. He’s the patron saint of writers because he wrote a lot of pamphlets on theology and spirituality that he passed out in the streets! One of the miracles of his sainthood I believe is the fact that his body is incorruptible, meaning that ten years after his death they opened his tomb and his body looked exactly like he did in life!! Some saints have bodies that don’t rot :D

The main reason I love him is for his writing though! He’s known for The Introduction to the Devout Life (a book to aid in the spiritual life of any person on any walk of life!) as well as Treatise on the Love of God. I’m currently reading The Art of Loving God, which is a collection of his writings on different virtues and how to practice them in a realistic way!

now I will move on to my favorite quotes of his!
