Hi!! I love your art!! I'm a newcomer in the vampire dies in no time fandom. I just finished reading the manga up until the hiatus but I couldn't find any chapters about the 30 year timeskip or ronaldo becoming a vampire. There's so much fanart out there of the ronaldo vampire au and 30 years later au that I was hoping its canon..? Would you know which chapter it was from? To answer your question, the 30 Years Later AU and Delta AU are both semi-canon, by which I mean the mangaka Bonnoki was the one who came up with them! There are a whole bunch of semi-canon AU's out there, and those are two of the most popular ones!

The 30 Years Later AU doesn't have any official story publishing like Delta does, and is just based on drawings Bonnoki posted on his twitter account. (these drawings are also in the fanbooks)

He drew Ronaldo, Draluc, Ta-Chan and Maria, and Bubuo.

There isn't much official lore to 30 Years Later, and it's basically just "everything is the exact same, except 30 years have passed". Ronaldo and Draluc are still living and working together in Shinyoko. Ronaldo still writes his books and Draluc still livestreams and cooks for Ronaldo, and they both seem to have calmed down at least a tiny bit. Ronaldo is still human

And we love it so, cuz it's fun to think about the fact that Ronaldo has spent more years of his life with Draluc in it than without :)

(and some of us me are angst whores and love playing around with the will-he-won't-he aspect of Ronaldo deciding about whether he'll become a vampire or not)

As for Delta (the Ronaldo as a vampire AU), I made a post a little while ago going more into depth here! Unless you're referring to content that's about Canon Ronaldo turning from a human into a vampire, in which case, yes that would be fanon ^^

the reasons why I do headcanon/being semicanon of him because in the Hercules, he seems very impulsive person, and a little forgetful but also very energetic. When he came in Underworld after being iconic in his brother‘s party about his first son, and when pain and panic saying that the fates has come, and he literally forgetting about and giving the fault to his minions about his mistake, and in the scene, where the fates were explaining what will be happen in the future, that he gonna slay in the future, and hades was acting like a happy child that he finally gonna be proud of himself, but in the end after a orange hair boy gonna destroys his plan, he was all angry like he change his mood for one minute. He seems also to be very touchy person in the movie, which this is also a sign for ADHD. Also about forgetting side, was about in the Hercules series, that he literally forgetting that his nephew is alive

Personally for me, I don’t really headcanon Hades as having ADHD, but that’s totally cool if you do and I think it’s a cool idea! I can totally see where you’re coming from with that lol! ☺️ Like, I’ve been reading the book in the Camp Lil’ Vils series “My Teammate is a Hot Head” and kid Hades does low key give me adhd kid vibes lol. Like, all he’s hyperfixated on is winning the competitions at the camp in the book because big bro Zeus won them all and he wants to outdo him. It’s really all he cares about lol, he doesn’t wanna do silly fun stuff like “circus magic” he just wants to win stuff lol. Also, he’s got anger issues, but that’s nothing new lol he has anger issues as an adult too lmao.

But yeah as I said before, I don’t really headcanon him with adhd or anything. He’s just a very street smart and business savvy dude. He schmoozes and schemes his way into getting what he wants, but his plans fail when someone or something slips through the cracks of his plans (or if his minions mess it up for him). He hates it when things don’t go his way and has poor anger management skills lol.

I will say for the series thing though, that I think that the show is an alternate universe (I’ve mentioned this a lot in my other asks 😂). I think read somewhere that the writers of the show were like “yeah, this isn’t canon to the movie, but we’re trying to go with the same fun vibe and humor from the movie” when they were in the process of making it lol. But yeah, I’m pretty sure the show takes place in a universe where Hades knows Hercules is still alive and is constantly trying to get rid of him until he turns 18. Then, of course, the events of the movie take place but with little changes like Hades knowing Herc is still alive and Hercules knowing who Hades is and that they’re related.

But yeah, that’s why I made an AU for my Persephone with Hades. It’s a universe that mainly takes place in the movie universe, but with bits and pieces of lore from the series thrown in there that fits into canon with the movie. Hence why I call it the movie/series AU lol or maybe I should call it the movie & series AU? I dunno I’ve been thinking of changing the AU name to something better lol.

you took one look and now i'm not the same (haikyuu!, bokuaka & bg kuroken, 3.5k, coffeeshop au): i don't think i've written anything as funny as this. akaashi keeps ordering a drink he hates because he genuinely believes it's the only drink bokuto can make. bokuto may or may not know how to make other drinks besides hot chocolate. the kuroken subplot is the funniest shit i've ever written. i wish i could be as funny as dec 2021 lyz.

one more year (and then i'll want them all) (hibike! euphonium, kumirei, 1.9k, proposal fic): MANNNN this is so adorable and fluffy and soft (my specialties). not much to say about this one but she's special to me...like i do go back to it whenever i need a pick-me-up

i feel like a monster nobody can stop (always on my mind like autopilot) (third life/limited life, majorwood, 2.2k, canon-compliant): martyn was so much fun to write like i got really into his voice, and i hadn't ever written him before so i was a little surprised at how easy it was to write him? i had a lot of fun working with the tension of this particular piece, especially since tension is something that i personally struggle with writing! and this one really pushed me to keep it in as long as possible, and i'm ultimately really proud of the result.

(hopeless boy) seeking someone who will share this feeling (third life/limited life, nosy neighbors, 2.1k, canon-compliant): literally no one in the world understands the nosy neighbors the way i do. or bigb. the "he loves me, he loves me not" bit was the driving force behind the fic, and it's always so satisfying when a bit you imagined in your head comes out the way you envisioned! also pearl is always a pleasure to write.

and i'll never go home again (haikyuu!, oikita, 4.5k, semicanon-compliant): i bring up the oikita fic every moment i get, and there's a reason for that. i'm genuinely so proud of this one. stylistically it wasn't something i had a lot of practice writing (nonlinear narratives are, in my professional opinion, a pain), and i also leaned into a dreamy, less structured vibe, which is pretty different from the majority of my fics! i learned a lot while working on it this, and i'm really proud of how it came out.

For the director's commentary; I'd love to know your thoughts on Ciri and Morvran's relationship, both present and future?

Oooh, that's a juicy one,

So unlike previous essays this will be less about canon and more about how I write their relationsship.

Now as ships go Ciri/Morvran is certainly a rare pair, though almost all Ciri ships qualify as this given the lack of canon or even semicanon loveinterests sans Mistle (where we won't go cause yikes) and arguably Cahir (which has alot of haters who very seriously need to find a better way to spend their time). Most fics with Ciri and Morvran tend to actually not be about them but about Emhyr and Geralt, which fair enough. And in most of these they tend to be presented as a alright but arranged marriage.

I don't like this. Oh, the arranged marriage to lovers is a nice trope but Ciri has suffered enough to be married to some guy she's met like twice? And I don't see Ciri accepting "oh and also you need to marry this random guy" as a part of the package for empressing, especially when as she has clearly stated she has stuff she wants to do with that power (historical digression: for a ruling woman marrying a man was a great way to lose power, which is why many female rulers like Elisabeth I didn't marry).

For me it was important to build Ciri and Morvrans relationship platonically at first, which is why The Swallow of Niovigrad is a genfic (even though they flirt fairly shamelessly on occassion). So apart from a love of horses they need to have something more in common. I choose a shared political vision: both Ciri and Morvran understand that the empire cannot keep functioning as it has been doing. Now they obvisouly come at it from different angles and have plenty of disagreements on the how, they share an ideal which they both keep pulling eachother back to.

“No,” said Ciri and shook her head sadly “No you didn’t Morvran. Because for you they are not people aren’t they? Oh I do not mean you are particularly prejudiced against elves. It’s just that to you these people are just numbers aren’t they? Acceptable casualties in some imperial game, better a hundred of them then one of ours. They are not Nilfgaardian like you so what do they matter?” She turned her gaze towards the map again, controlling her outburst.

Morvran seemed to contemplate his boots. Finally he said in a low voice “I though we were Nilfgaardian?”

“You are. I’m not, I’m Cintran. It’s your empire, not mine.”

The general was silent for a moment then said in a low voice. “The empire must be an empire for all it’s citizens or it has no value. You told me that, riding to Vizima. If you it’s future empress do not believe it has any value then what chance does it have?”

In short it was important to me to write Ciri and Morvran as partners in goverment before they became partners in another sense. Neither are very quick to trust others and both are kind of akward, in different ways. But they also complement eachother. Both are idealists but not fanatically so, Morvran is eventempered wereas Ciri is a bit of a hothead, Ciri is audicious were Morvran is at times overly careful, Morvran is detail and big picture oriented whereas Ciri is more prone to focusing on singular issues, Ciri has an ironclad sense of morality towards herself and her people whereas Morvran is more conflicted. Ciri knows the people and the north in a different way while Morvran knows the court and the army. Both can switch back and forth between upbeat and morose and can pick eachother up. Individually they would be fairly good at their jobs but together they can be quite formidable.

At least that's how I see them: partners, in more ways then one.

nix and artemis are currently engaged in a legal battle with odin and co. due to the two of them wanting someone else in the tournament gone for good. this has been going on ever since they came here and is showing no sign of stopping

jungle!bdubs is at least borderline canon to s8, just to throw that out there. in one of his early eps he makes a trek out to the jungle, makes some quip about living there, and then breaks into something very similar to the s5 bdubs voice like "nope! never doing that again! we are never. coming. back. here!" or something to that effect.

obvs. could just be ccbdubs remembering how frustrating the jungle was to build/work in, but it's also easily interpreted as cbdubs remembering and rejecting the notion.

oh!!! good to know actually. i haven't been watching his s8 but i know there's no canon acknowledgement of the jungle in s6-s7 so that's mostly what i was going off of there when bringing it up. figured it was only fair to also mention a fanon thing i Like so it didn't just come off as me bashing a fanon interpretation i dislike

All ships seems unhealthy to me, doesn´t make sence to me and contribute to a story- and charactercrippling. All seems to be developed, just to sell the manga as best as possible. Witch ship should have be canon and why: Eren Jäger x Historia Reiss (EreHisu) from Attack on Titan, Neji Hyuga x Hinata Hyuga (NejiHina) from Naruto and Shikamaru Nara x Ino Yamanaka from Naruto. All are healthy and based ships. Witch character you don´t want to see shipped with anyone in the series and why: Kimimaro Kaguya from Naruto and Hao /Zeke Asakura from Shaman King. I can't imagine a couple with any other character from the series for either of them. I only ship both with my OC. Bamgsteel, you may talk about this before, but do you think Rohanne of Tyrosh should be named Serena like the show version? There are Myriah Stark and Serena Stark and their names can show Stark side during the Blackfyre Rebellions maybe or a wife named Serena could be theorised to be a descendant of Saera Targaryen, though I think that descendant has to be Serenei now?

I’ve talked a little bit about Rohanne’s name in the show-verse here trying to reconcile it with book!canon (along with proposing she was part Ghiscari due to Calla’s name), and speculated on why a Tyroshi woman like her has a Westerosi name like Rohanne here (hypothesizing that her name was originally Roxana but transliterated due to the letter X being uncommon in Westerosi). But neither of them directly answer your question, which is: No, I’d prefer Rohanne have a completely different name that was not used in Westeros. Most of the other Essosi women (an exception is Larra Rogare who shares a name with Larra Blackmont, but that could be explained by Lyseni influence in Dorne) have unique names even if they are of Valyrian descent (such as Serenei, Mysaria, and Doreah; Shiera and Taena are close matches to Shaera and Daena, but not exactly, so they retain their own cultural Myrish/Lysene identities). If Westerosi women do share her name, it should be a direct reference to her as the name “Daemon” is to Daemon Blackfyre for Westerosi boys in a post-Blackfyre world. If Rohanne’s name must be Westerosi despite her being ethnically Essosi, I’d rather it be for plot/character reasons (she changed her name to better assimilate, perhaps following a conversion to the Faith. Or again, it’s a transliteration of her original name Roxana, which according to a semicanon family tree of House Martell is an Essosi name), as opposed to the writer being lazy.

There are Myriah Stark and Serena Stark and their names can show Stark side during the Blackfyre Rebellions: that would certainly be an interesting way to show who sided where, but unfortunately Mariah and Serena Stark were born in 2 different generations, and both were born too early to have been named for Myriah Martell or “Serena Blackfyre.” According to a semicanon family tree, Mariah Stark was born in 140AC whereas Myriah Martell was born in 150AC, and Serena Stark was born 150AC versus Rohanne of Tyrosh/Serena Blackfyre probably in the 160s (since she was safely able to give birth to at least nine children in 12 years); even if we disregard the family tree, its impossible for Rickon to have named his youngest daughter for “Serena Blackfyre” (who married Daemon in 184) as he died in the 157-161 Dornish war. It’s also unlikely for me at least that Cregan and Alysanne, who married in 132, would have a child around 169-179, the period after Mariah became princess and before Alysanne died. If GRRM wanted to show the Stark girls were named after the Targaryen and Blackfyre queens, he would’ve had to go the generation after with Arrana, Aregelle, and Arsa Stark. Also consider that the Starks were a very isolated family and did not often play a big role in the larger wars of the realm, and there is no record of them supporting either side in the First Blackfyre with manpower (although I’m inclined to say since Daemon had no Great House support, they did not rebel).

Maybe a wife named Serena could be descended from Saera Targaryen? Or Serenei of Lys?: I’m very against this idea, as it adds nothing to the story and actually shrinks the already poorly-developed Essos by making only those of Targaryen-Valyrian blood important to the story. Saera moved from Lys to Volantis where she had at least 3 illegitimate sons, whereas Rohanne is from Tyrosh and had no known connection to Lys or Volantis. What I like about Rohanne’s name is that it’s obviously not Valyrian, in contrast to Kiera’s; it shows that she was a foreigner without a bloodline connection to the revered but blood-supremacist and imperialist Valyrians, and is essentially an outsider to the Westerosi doctrine of Targaryen Exceptionalism. She and Daemon built a large, bustling family despite their lingual, cultural, and ethnic differences, and having her be not only Valyrian, but a fellow Targaryen through a different line, undermines that message. It also detracts from their role as a foils to Da3ron II and Myriah, who are another “purebred” Targaryen and his older “foreign” non-Valyrian wife.

As for Serenei, she is the last daughter an ancient but impoverished Valyrian Lysene family, implying she is legitimate (which none of Saera’s children were; none of Larra Rogare’s 16 illegitimate siblings are even named, which seems like they are not thought the equals of legitimate children and not automatically included in any inheritance), and of solely Lysene descent. She doesn’t have any connection to Volantis as far as we know, being selected as a paramour by Aegon’s Hand Jon Hightower. Serena is not even a Valyrian name, as it lacks the vowel diphthong or double R of Lyseni female names. Furthermore, what would it add to the story by having Serenei be Aegon IV’s relative? So I’d rather not have her be part Targaryen either. The Targaryens are not special because they have white hair and purple eyes, since many in Lys and Volantis have the same phenotype. Making every white haired, purple eyed character with an “ae” in their name somehow connected to the Targaryens undermines the important message that there is no special bloodline that can control dragons, look otherworldly beautiful, and is destined to conquer “with fire and blood.”

Lets’ look at the two canon ones first

The Writhing Flesh

Turns out nuking a kaiju point-blank pulps them, but the regenerative abilities will be raised to sea-sponge levels...the parts of several kaiju twitching remains merged together to create The Writhing Flesh (also known as “Cuddles”)

Their fellow abomination, Gorale, was from the remains of a yeti-descended kaiju farther from the blast fusing with a dying whale caught in the blast.

(I chose the author’s homemade puppet incarnation for visual aid, as the dorsal fin’s position in artwork bothers me)

The semi-canonical Dreg,

Dreg’s kaiju mother was rendered all but dead by the nuke and her dying body redirected all resources to her altered child. He emerged from her corpse

Dreg is what happens when a kaiju’s powers are destabilized.  He grows far faster than is normal for a kaiju, and his metabolism is even more exaggerated, giving him an insatiable lust for flesh.  His growth spurts result in a body that is bursting with energy but lacks any stability, making him a frenetic and violent creature by default.  When he satisfies his uncontrollable hunger, Dreg can reach a massive size and develop into a vicious fighting machine.  However, he cannot recover from damage in the reliable way most kaiju do, and ultimately reverts to his fetal form when combat takes its toll on him.

of note is that Tyrantisterror headcanons that his mother was the same species (or close relative) as my own semi-canonical entry: Bajingis

Conquerverm I’m almost postivie was in a previous outline of the story on TT’s now gone devianart account (back when it was meant to be a futuristic sequel to B-movies and kaiju films called the Second Age of Monsters rather than a period piece), being one of an honestly bloated list of monsters set to appear in the Siberian monster zone.

 I think accidentally turning the intestinal parasites of a kaiju into kaiju themselves by way of dropping a couple of atom bombs on one 

In the previous 30 day challenge he came upwith another kaijufied parasite which I headcanon came from the same incident:

Titantick!

I headcanon Titantick as another parasite on one of the mammalian kaiju, a overachiever barely hanging on against their powerful immune system, until they got a second chance at a new life with the drop of a bomb.

Given these two parasitoids would came into existance in Siberia, I imagine they quickly burrowed underground (or into a huge kaiju) to get warm and might be existing without Russia’s knowledge.

Other possible parasite kaiju include barnacles and whale lice lurking in the Siberian sea unnoticed, kaijufied at the same time as Gorale’s whale half.

Also a word from the author on the moral here.

Yeah, sure, scientifically an atom bomb would kill Godzilla.  Allegorically, however?  Allegorically, you don’t solve a problem made by the reckless use of nuclear weapons by recklessly using nuclear ******** weapons.  Allegorically, dropping an atom bomb on the product of an atom bomb makes MORE PRODUCT OF AN ATOM BOMB.

So, according to the first volume of the novel and the audio drama respectively (remember that the status of canon or semicanon are not very clear) Dante is a big softy and feels responsible for things that, well, are not directly his fault.

And for this reason he maybe is always short of money, or may also have to do with his vision of it. I'll explain.

In the novel Dante has a friend who is his hunting partner who has three daughters, after a series of events the two youngest are left alone and for what we are told Dante gives them a kind of trust fund. Then in the audio drama Dante is forced to cut off Enzo's arm. Dante gives him a kind of monthly payments that he sees as part of a debt, although in reality it is the guilt.

This boy ... too good, too pure and will always be broke.
