I've been mulling over something. I read one of Vivzie's interviews lately and I've come to some conclusions about Alastor's character (these are just my own theories, though, so we'll see how everything actually develops in s2).

Unfortunately, I believe, canonically, Alastor is NOT aromantic. Maybe on the aro-spectrum, and deffinitely asexual, but not aro per se. In this interview, Vivzie confirms Alastor's asexuality, and plays with his aro identity saying something like "I don't want to ruin people's fun with him". This could be queerbaiting in a sense (I don't actually think so, when Vivzie is high on queer representation, but aro people are very left behind in the community, sadly).

But she continues to add on that there are plans for Alastor in the future of the series, saying something like "I can't confirm that he is aromantic". To me, this reads like we will see romance in Alastor's life in season 2, wether it's a past lover/romantic interest or a new one I could not say. She would've had no problem in confirming Alastor as aromantic otherwise, and I interpret this as Vivzie not wanting to spoil part of the plot.

I used to think that Alastor's deal would most surely be with Lilith, but, while it could be the case, I'm not so sure anymore (although it could be a fun dinamic). But, nontheless, I think Lilith's and Alastor's 7 year absence and his deal are intertwinded somehow.

My bet, for the future romance plot, is that it could be one of these three: either Lilith, whom the fandom is already considering in a sense; the mysterious Eve, or... Lucifer. HEAR ME OUT. I don't say this as a Radioapple enjoyer. The reasons I think it could be Lucifer are the same that I think it could be Eve (although we know absolutely nothing about her).

Mainly, I draw these conclusions from the early comic Zoophobia, from where we know Alastor's character was taken. In this comic, his character is supposed to have a crush on the character of KayCee, a powerful being with whom he could have made an alliance to reign chaos.

KayCee's descriptions could match either of the three romantic interests I mentioned, but what strikes me more are her defining traits: white and gold colour palette, and the apple. We know not all of Vivzie's characters stem from Zoophobia, and the ones that do have (understandably so) went through important changes through the years, mediums and aesthetics.

BUT these could be some clues into what we might discover in s2 of Hazbin. And, so long, the character we've seen fit this palette and apple motif is none other than Lucifer himself. Eve, on the other hand, is also shown during the intro sporting some sort of apple motif, which could be indicative of her future appearance in the series. But we know so little about her, and, knowing Hazbin Hotel will only have 2 seasons confirmed, I'm not sure we will see more of her.

I personally don't like the idea of losing Alastor as an aromantic character. I'd much rather not see him in a romantic relationship whatsoever in the canon series. But that is not my call to make, and he will always be our ace-king no matter what. Also, that wouldn't mean his story or character will be less interesting or developed. So we'll have to wait and see...

The Great God Pan by Arthur Machen

This book has been on my tbr for years, and I finally decided to get it off my physical tbr. It's a horror classic that didn't feel too scary but certainly had a very interesting premise. I did enjoy my time with it. The main focus is the veil between our world and a world of occult forces, and as you can imagine we have a couple of characters who fuck around and find out. I liked how the first few chapters seemed almost disconnected and then everything started to fit into place. I listened to it as an audiobook which was a fun choice, but if I went back in time I might swap it for the physical copy since it's so short and maybe getting into it with a slower pace of my own reading would be better, but it was enjoyable nontheless.

Hello there, @whenyourbirdisbroken! Thank you for my very first Beatles related ask and sorry for the late reply!! I discovered fanfiction through the Beatles fandom, I had never read fanfic before! But I'm still too bad at bookmarking things, so I'll certainly forget some I loved. Still, here's a list of those I can remember now:

Carry That Weight and its sequence Hello Goodbye by @waveofahand It's a massive work by a massive talent and it has a very special place in my heart. @idontwanttospoiltheparty described it very well in their recent post about it, and I added a bit of my commentary in the tags. Don't worry about the length, you don't have to read the two parts to enjoy it, but also if you start from the beginning and it's your cup of tea you may soon discover you never want it to end!

Mums, Yur Boys are Crying by waveofahand. If you love hurt/comfort, this fic includes both John and Paul suffering - John's mom dying and Paul helping him go trhough the funeral, etc, and then Paul himself getting into another situation, and John worrying about him too. The boys are young but there's kindness, maturity and wisdom in it and the typical picturesque, novel-like features of waveofhand's prose. A special bonus are the very charming scenes between Mimi and Paul which may colour your perception of the interactions between those two forever (I always expect them to act like that in other fics). It's also a delightfully finished fic, it has a beautiful ending and conclusion.

Everything by merseydreams . As you may notice, I'm mostly a fan of drama and angst, but @merseydreams are my favorite exception. They're a comedy genius, their fics are romantic, charming, witty, very vivid and enjoyable both on story-buld level and micro-sentence level. I've often told them they should write scripts for sitcoms and romantic comedies/dramedies and other good things. Also good thoughtful characterization, relationship study-ing and dialogue too (so there's seriousness in them too! They're ultimately happy but not fluffy.). I love all their fics but I guess The Birthday Party is the best by being the longest, if you somehow missed it go read it ASAP!

i was a younger man then (now) (post hoc) by fingersfallingupwards. This fic is so touching, that I don't know how to describe it. It's a very poetic, imaginative and unique story about John&Paul-forever and time travel. About the connection of their souls in a fantastical but poignant sense that somehow fits them so much. Might make you cry but it's worth it. Also, completely finished fic as well, with a thrilling emotional twist towards the end. Might be the most complete fic I've read. The fic also provide very good context for the flaming pie anecdote :-)

On our way back home by Kathleenishereagain. This one is also about time travel, but in a different way, basically about old Paul getting back to being young again and how he'd do things differently. I think it's quite popular so you probably all know it. (Funny thing is I never thought I'd care about time travel, but ultimately it's just a writing vessel and aren't we always time travelling when we fantasise about the Beatles?)

Close The Door Lightly When You Go by RosalindBeatrice. Set in 1979 when Paul comes to visit John in the Dacota, who acts like he doesn't want him there. It's awesome, one of those fics, in which they have real tension and problems which makes it all more real. It's mostly inner-thoughs and dialogue-driven but very intense nontheless, great characterisation, great attention to detail, just fantastic for lovers of post break up relationship studies and excellent writing.

The Wild Horses trilogy, from which I especially love the last part, Son of a Shining Path. It's about young Paul and John and Paul being abused by his father, and the first part might be a bit too dark for some. But I love the writing, and especially in the third part (which has no abuse but other suffering) I just love how well being worried about someone you love and being unable to show it is written in the end there. It's subtle, very realistic in its details, I love it.

I'm Looking Through You by @idontwanttospoiltheparty That's the only fic in this list which is still a work in progress, still updated. If you follow the author on Tumblr you know how smart they are, and their fic is just as thoughtful and attentive to the Beatles history, the music and the psychology of it all. The story gets more exciting and rich whith each chapter, I fell in love with the last three. It also pays attention to all four of the Beatles and their human sides and motivations in a way that rarely happens. Last chapter included the best incorporation of the Manila adventures I've read in fic. Just many emotionally packed and thrilling scenes all around (also that thing I just wrote about being worried about someone and being frozen about how to help them which I love being written realistically in fics -- is here too.) Go read it if you haven't and let's read the next update soon together!!

Widow by abromeds on LJ. This story is more than a decade old, but it's no wonder it still appears in fic recs. It's about death and grief - not John but Paul dying like John did - so it's truly dark, not like fun angsty, but truly deeply dramatic and real. So you might think why read something sad, but maybe you should, because it's so good. It's also serious writing on meaningful topic and I think the fictional element (Paul dying and not John) somehow helps it being more bearable and at the same time makes you think about the actual reality and we kinda avoid doing it, don't we? And it's just very well written, there are also very plausible-sounding flashbacks of their history and relationship through the years (the one about why John actually climbed the fence in Cavendish is my favorite!), so it's not really all about death. And my absolutely favorite thing in ''Widow'' is the very ending, the last sentence even. It's the most perfect, most poignant ending this story could have had, an ending any good fuckin literature could have. Sometimes I walk on the streets and think about that ending.

short answer, if you don't want to read; yes, i am sorry. longer answer; [under the cut]

hello! long time no post! this is Glitch, formerly of the duo Glitch and Cypher, and the main author of OLaS.

Note how i say 'formerly'. To keep a long story short (and as lacking in detail as possible), for those who hadn't guessed from the once or twice we Both answered: Cypher and I were, throughout this project, a couple. I'm sure you can see where this is going. The breakup was less than amicable and, to be honest, that killed all the enjoyment i had previously felt in creating Of Love and Starlight. And to be honest, at first, i intended to come back. But university got busy, and i moved on, and it simply isn't on the cards now.

HOWEVER

if you truly enjoyed my writing (which i do hope people did), then may i redirect you over to my solo twine project; @tag-if is it similar to OLaS? not really. it's a mystery-romance. but i hope you'll check it out nontheless!! the demo for OLaS will stay up, as it is, however it won't be updated again. i'm very sorry, but i hope to see you all on the other side. I'm gonna talk about the new Marvel CMF series.

These are some great figures, but with the new box designs they're going for, bag feeling is officially dead. Don't get me wrong, I understand and appreciate that it's for recycling and sustainability purposes, but this does make it so hardcore collectors have to go back to the dark ages and bring a scale into Walmart. That, or just break into the box and steal what they please. Me personally, I'm gonna check to see whether Bricklink starts price gouging because of this since the prices for CMFs on that site are reasonable so far.

Anyway here's what I think about the figs.

Goliath. Something I should make clear is that I'm not a fan of the MCU. However, since Marvel sets are 90% based on MCU titles, that means the only versions of characters I can get come from those movies. Case in point: Bill Foster. Though the suit looks nice and maintains a stylistic similarity to the MCU Antman costume, as a comics fan, it bears no resemblance to the comic costume and hence I won't be picking it up.

Storm. Oh she's perfect! We already got a decent Storm fig based on the Giant Sized suit, but without the crown thing sadly. But THIS! When people think of Storm, they think of this design, and it looks great! I'm for sure picking this one up!

Beast. Another great fig. I love that the alternate face includes glasses. Such a nerd! Interesting that they chose to make a new hair mold when the good ol' dracula hair would've been just fine. Not complaining of course, it's just interesting to me.

Kate Bishop. I'm not a Hawkeye enjoyer, which means I don't have much stake in Kate Bishop either. It's lucky (heh) that we have a figure of her, so I'm happy for the Kate Bishop fans, it's just not something I'm excited about.

Moon Knight. This was always gonna be a guaranteed buy from me. Of course I wish it was the comics design, but at this point I've grown used to settling for MCUification. Nah but this figure still rocks. Lots of detailed printing, a cool new moon piece, and a brand new hood mold that I hope LEGO makes in more colours soon.

Wolverine. This figure makes me upset that I bought that Wolverine mech only for them to improve on the design in every way. The boots, the arm hair, the everything is just the most perfect you could make a Wolverine figure, and the added sentinel head is a nice touch!

She-Hulk. As someone who bought that one Hulk set with Hulk, Red Hulk, She-Hulk, and She-Red Hulk all in their classic comic colours, this figure has no use to me. It's a faithful design that includes dual molding and nice prints nontheless. One way they could've outdone the original figure was perhaps use the Avatar arms and legs... actually nevermind, that would look kinda awkward.

Hawkeye. I can already hear the AFOLs complaining about the lack of leg printing. Shout out to LEGO finally getting Jeremy Renner's hair right! Otherwise it's fine to me. I can get a better Hawkeye fig from that one avengers video game set.

Mr. Knight. This represents one of those magical MCU moments where the costume of the movies matches close enough to the comics to pass. Hence, I may have to get this one. The figure itself is very basic, but that's all I need sometimes. The fish bowl is a nice touch too.

Echo: I never heard of this character, but I know she's indigenous and is famously depicted with a white handprint on her face. For comics accuracy, this is unfortunate that the minifig leaves this out. For cultural sensitivity, it's complicated. Based on my 10 seconds of googling, a handprint is generally associated with success in hand to hand combat, which seems fine enough, but I also know a red handprint over the mouth has emerged as a symbolic representation for violence against indigenous women. I think this too fits Echo's backstory, but you have to remember this is Disney we're talking about, the same company that made Pocahontas. As a white woman, I'm not at all an authority when it comes to indigenous representation in media. I recommend you do your own research and listen to what indigenous voices have to say on the matter. For now though, the figure looks cool I guess.

Agatha Harkness. The figure looks good, but not gonna lie, I'm here for that Darkhold. It feels weird to buy a minifig SPECIFICALLY for a prop, but it's an important Marvel artifact so I don't want to miss it. Besides, I should probably get Agatha anyway. Who else is gonna babysit Franklin Richards?

Werewolf by Night. With Moon Knight and now Wolfy, I can combine them with Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Morbius, and Blade to make my own Midnight Sons roster. The bloodstone is a nice addition too, just makes me wish we also got Elsa. Ah well.

It was another day, really, just another day where you would wake up, struggle to do simple tasks, go to the armed detective agency, being a burden, feeling horrible, punishing yourself, and then just trying to sleep at night, the same hell everyday. Sure there are positive things, sure there are fun things that happens , but did you really deserve theses ? Did you really deserve anything good happening to you? Why would you? You were this pathetic, not even able to accept positive things happening to you. Nontheless , why would you even deserve punishment ? Isns't this all just worthless ? Did you deserve anything to begin with?

You entered the detective agency to see everyone's face.. Huh ? The vibes changed in the room, it isn't like the usual, not the same routine where you would just enter to see kunikida working non-stop, ranpo already eating snacks, yosano being bored already waiting for someone to be hurt so that she can treat them, and dazai already on the couch probably thinking about 1001 ways to annoy kunikida or commit suicide. But right now, it seems like they were waiting for something, were they waiting for you? Dazai was clinging into Kunikida begging for something you don't know about "Kunikida pretty pleaseeeee come on aren't we squad fam??? " He begged "In your dreams Dazai, and don't even think about using my money" Kunikida replied, tanizaki turned to you and said " Guys, y/n is here " , they all turned to you, you didn't like this feeling. "Umm... Hello? " You said "Y/n ! You're here, are you ready for the splash of your life? " Yosano said "ehhh.. What?? " You said confused "Oh ? You forgot ? We're going to the beach today, do you have a swimsuit ? " She asked , it looked like your stupid ass forgot something again yayyy .. Wait..the beach ? Oh there's no way you're going there, they are going to see your marks you have given to yourself, they are going to see how pathetic you are, no, there's no way you're going to be more of a burden than you are right now. But you don't know what to say and how to react "umm.. I don't have a swimsuit and i can't swim anyways i'm uh.. Heh.. Scared of water ? " You lied with a voice that showed clear confidence and you looked so certain - no, it looked like no one bought it. "Oh.. That's okay i guess, do you still want to go ? We can still have a lot of fun together. " The pink haired girl asked, you liked her a lot, damn you even loved her, you were tempted to say no because you really didn't deserve to feel theses things and you shouldn't feel them in the first place. But you accepted to go anyways "Yeah.. I guess it'll be fun".

So you went to the beach with them, with... Long sleeves ! That's definitely not suspicious.. But you were used to lying so despites the fact they were detective, it'll be okay right? Ahh i swear to god y/n if you messed up again-

" Y/n ? Why are you wearing long sleeves ? " Yosano asked curious, you looked at your feets embarassed , "um well I... All of other clothes are in the laundry you see.. Eheh " You lied again "you should of told me sooner, i'm sure i have a spare shirt for you " She said you direclty replied without hesitations wich might have aroused suspcions "no no no ! It's fine it's fine don't worry! I'll be okay ! " Yosano seemed hesitant but said "hmm.. Okay, if you say so " She didn't seem convinced but she let it flee, and there we go, you're being a burden again! How awesome ! Congratulations y/n ! What an acchievement ! Could you ever acchieve something that wasn't negative? I mean sure you did succeed in some missions, but the others would have done it better, you're wasting their time, why can't they see it? Why can't they see what you see? You walked silently, head full of thoughts, honestly, it wasn't even worth to talk, you would just waste their time again, why were you even here in the first place ? Why did you wake up this morning? Why are you keeping this up? No no... You shouldn't free yourself from everything, you should feel more pain, you should stay in this hellish place and suffer, but is it worth it if you're being constantly a burden? Suddenly, something shook you away from your thoughts "hey hey y/n ! Race you there ! " Ranpo said a big smile on his face - oh hell you're being too obvious, of course ranpo figured you needed to think about other things than what you're actually thinking about, so to avoid any other suspicions, you akwardly run to race with ranpo to the beach wich seemed to be not really far from you, arrived there, ranpo won the race - there we go, you're being ridiculous again. "Now you owe me a chocolate bar ! " He declared "whaaaat? " You said "rules are rules " He said "but i didn't agree-" You started to defend yourself but got interrupted by Dazai yelling "OOOH ! THE WATER IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND PROFOUND ! THIS IS PERFECT FOR A DEADLY TRAVEL ! " As he gets grabbed by kunikida as he said in a calm tone "there are kids and families there, do not force trauma into their brain just because of your suicidal fantaisies" Dazai complained "awww you're so mean kunikida-kunn.. " Kunikida then let dazai fall on the ground as Dazai immediatly starts to play around with the sand and declared, stars in his eyes "KUNIKIDA I KNOW! bury me in the sand ! This way the kids won't see me right ? " Kunikida stopped to seem calm and his glasses broke again as he yelled and started to shake dazai "I'M GONNA KILL YOU YOU BANDAGE WASTING MACHINE ! " Dazai replied without any hesitations "YES PLEASE STRANGLE ME WITH YOUR DELICATE FINGERS KUNIKIDA" wich made kunikida angrier, things were starting to get a bit weird in there -

A lot of things were happening at the same time, Atsushi was with kyoka building sand castles, Dazai was messing with Kunikida left over neurons , Kenji was... Taking care of a cow ? Honestly, you weren't even surprised at this point.Finally , Yosano and ranpo were having a fight consisted of splashing water at themselves, and you were just there, alone, sitting in the sand as the worthless persson you could be , they were all having fun without you. It's cool for them. It's not like you deserved anything more anyways, what do you expect ? This was already too much for you, you started to feel an urge. If only you could just live a normal life without all theses thoughts , without being a burden in the first place. Why did it have to be you? Why did you have to have this happy, lucky and blessed life? Why weren't you grateful? So many people wish to be in your shoes.. So why not them? Why did it have be you out of all people ? If only you could do something about it, if only there was a magic wand to erase this you and replace it with another completly different person. You're a complete mistake, why did you even face this world ?

The members were starting to go up to you and were proposing stuff to do with you and you declined - Really, you just didn't feel like it, and who said you deserved anything good to happen to you anyways ? God y/n you're being too obvious today..

After the 365th time of you declining any activites , you feel a hand in your shoulder behind you, the person said "hey y/n are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere ? You know we can still go back to the agency so that i can treat your wounds" You felt weird at her voice, did she knows about your wounds?? You jumped a bit - Oh no this can't be good , wait maybe it's not what she meant calm down- "Ah ! Uhhhhh... No no i'm good ! " You said sounding yet again, very convincing. Yosano thinked and then she said "Na you're coming with me y/n " She said grabbing your arm "ouch-" You said out loud by accident "oh, did that hurt? I'm sorry" She said as she stopped grabbing your arm and held your hands instead , making you blush, something in her voice was sweeter than usual and her holding your hands seemed more relaxing.. You were a blushing mess and so you decided to look at your feets as you walked. It seemed Yosano had something to tell you - she wasn't wearing a swimsuit anymore, she was wearing a normal outfit meaning she was planning to talk to you and you didn't even notice that, were you thinking that bad? I guess you were.

So you both walked in silent in the streets as yosano held your hands. Finally, you both arrived, she oppened the door of the treatment room for you as you stepped in, a little scared of what's about to come, hoping she only wants to talk to you about anything trivial, you always avoided treatment to avoid revealing your cuts - it was kinda hard but somehow you always managed to avoid treatment. "So.. Why did you bring me here? " You asked , as she entered the room and closed the door. Yosano then said "Y/n..i need to check something, can you roll up your sleeves please? " Oh no this can't be good how could you escape this situation ? You already felt like you were about to shake "umm.. What do you even need to check? " You asked "Don't worry i won't judge you, just trust me. " She responded, in a serious yet gentle tone. She knew she definitely knew and there's nothing you can do about this situation, just show your pathetic self to the one person you love, feels great. You slowly roll up your sleeves as you start shaking , yosano take your arm carefully and look at them examinating them. "I-I'm sorry" You apologized "don't apologize y/n it's okay.. It can be that hard " She said making you reply ; "b-but it shouldn't be - I-I'm just that pathetic-", you started crying, yosano replied " Don't say that y/n.." As she went to hug you and say "and let me tell you one thing y/n.you're not pathetic, you're probably one of the strongest person i met, you never failed to amaze me. " You didn't understand " H-how-" was all you could say as yosano was rubbing your back "and you were always fun to hang around with" She decided to say "you don't have to deal with this alone, you can talk to me if anything is bothering you y/n, that won't bother me the slightest bit" She continued "we love you for who you are y/n and we'll always have your back , do not forget that" She finished, you continued crying silently , you were tired and didn't know what to think about so all you said was this one sentence "yeah.. Thank you", you stopped the hug and whiped away your tears. " Do you want to go clear up your mind and go shopping ? " She asked wich didn't really surprise you "no.. It's okay, i'm tired.. " You replied "you can rest in one of the bed here" She said as you went to one of the bed and lied down" Do you need anything else? " She asked "actually.. I'd like uh... Cuddles? " You replied a bit embarassed "hm? sure " Yosano reacted as she smiled and went to cuddle with you as you both fell asleep like this, let's say the next time you woke up was quite interesting as it was when your boss was in front of you surrounded by your colleagues. Such a fantastic way to start another hellish day.. Or maybe after this it won't be that much of an awful day and it will all slowly and finally change?

(In addition to my last ask—and after re-reading again) I just feel that there are hints of something more throughout both the narratives (part one and two). And again I could be wrong about everything and I acknowledge that BUT…

It feels to me like Beomgyu has lowkey been obsessed from the start. She likes someone else. And even if she liked him she was a threat to his career so…he did the most logical thing and hated her. But when he almost ruined her career he truly felt guilty because he DOES care. He hates that he cares. He hates her for making him care. He is furious at himself for caring. He is careless and lets her trap him because he cares. He keeps coming back because he cares. He has had a taste and now is addicted and he’ll take her any way he can have her. And she…well. He’s inside of her now. He tore into parts of her that she protected and forced her to stand her ground. She knows who she is because she FOUGHT him. Only someone who matters can get you to do that. She keeps letting him in. She misses him after he confesses to the company that “he lied” (even though she doesn’t call it that) and honestly in their last encounter there is SO MUCH subtext. They cover it in their own assumptions and their own decisions about what the future has to look like, but they need it. They need each other and neither of them want to admit it. But I (personally) am rooting for them to figure it out. Two awful people realizing they found their equally awful soulmate and then fighting the world to hold on to that connection because not even fame can fill the void they have left in each other’s hearts.

So uh…yeah I’m hoping they keep fighting—with each other…

And FOR each other.

I honestly just want to say nothing and leave this here as its own masterpiece. I didn't even have to click your profile to tell that you write yourself. Hello, Ranboo Tag! Ive come to share my words after being unessacarily passive aggressively bashed on Tiktok.

See, it started with a tiktok saying that genloss doesnt seem that scary after ep1. The opinion matched with mine after watching the first ep, so I wrote the comments something like "yeah, i thought I'd be scarier"

Some people tried to change my opinion by genuinely explaining how the next episodes are supposed to have more "horror", yknow? Other people just went straight to passive aggressively bashing me, with stuff like "what about Ranboo screaming let me die, huh? 🙄", Overall everything in the spirit off:

"what about *insert thing from ep 2 or 3*, idiot? Should've been more patient"

With a lot of aggression or ways to make you feel stupid. Here's the thing, I find it funny yet sad.

Oh noo, I had my own opinion that othwr ppl shared so i agreed!!!! Where are the people's minds at.

I was a bit dissapointed by it, because when i think back to 2021 and Ranboo announcing him working on genloss (yknow, 2020 - 2021 the era where everything was still fun) he said he was inspired by The Walten Files among other things. So thats what i expected: a vhs style analog horror. That wasnt what I got, so it threw me off a little bit, but I nontheless gave the first ep a try. I didnt like it that much, not because of it not being what its supposed to be, it just didnt appeal to me. Which, and idk if those kinda fans knew that, is completely fine!

You are not obliged to watch everything the cc pushes out and to like everything they do or say or release.

I have the attention span of a fetus, I would never be able to sit through ep 2 and 3. And i generally didn't feel like it, bc yknow, I didnt like it. So why would I.

And generally it all boils down to me thinking, wow. 2021 to early 2022 really was better.

Ive been in this fandom since November 2020. Ive been there for almost everything, excitedly watching it all and having fun! I never missed Ranboos or Tubbos stream, bc I was a huge beeduo fan. I made fanart and their videos helped me fall asleep.

And then everything started to dull at around May 2022. The vibe changed and me and probably many others, as I have heard others say the same, started to feel like this isnt enjoyable anymore. Call me and those people hung up on the past, but yknow, sometimes people loose interest, get more casual about things and idk, act like a responsible person distancing themselves from this thick responsibility of "like everything and watch every stream" when everything had dulled down and you dont feel the same you felt back then.

I was only in the fandom with one foot anyway. Occasionally watching Tommy, James Marriot and recently gaining a bit more interest on the QSMP. If i speak on my feelings and thoughts on the dsmp fandom changing, I'm sure even more people would bash me, even though its a genuine opinion and not whatever delusional hatecrime some ppl may think.

I genuinely hope that Generation Loss goes great for Ranboo and that he has fun doing it. And that the people who like it can enjoy and have fun.

But Im not obliged to and I dont wanna hear the bashing. If i read it, i laughing, just to be clear. But i think i got my point across.

I know I am once again late to the party but Lightyear was actually an enjoyable movie.

As a standalone movie its a fun one. The overall arch was nice although time travel stuff always gives a certain anxiety and hits you right in the feels. I wished they had put a bit more background about the planet and how they learned to live on it even if it wasn’t buzz’s priority it would have been nice to hear some of it. The vines were interesting and it could have been cool to look into more

Sox was amazing, easily the best part of the movie

As soon as he handed sox the fuel problem I knew what would happen next but it was affective nontheless

The i am your father but actually you of the future thing was kinda interesting

So sad the og sox died

Testing Our Startup Idea

In this week's happenings: the validation of our business concept.

These previous weeks led us to engage in conversations with a diverse group of students and owners of local eateries. Despite time constraints, we managed to glean insights from 23 individuals, each interaction offering valuable perspectives.

Interacting with fellow students proved enlightening and enjoyable. Their opinions about the trek to distant food establishments, jokingly referred to as a calf-toning exercise, underscored the appeal of our app concept. Many echoed the sentiment that an app facilitating food access would indeed be a welcomed convenience. Additionally, the prospect of part-time employment resonated positively among students, amplifying their support for our venture.

Conversations with local eatery owners, particularly those situated within the bustling CMU Market, reinforced the potential viability of our venture. They expressed enthusiasm for the app's ability to bolster profits during peak hours while enhancing visibility during quieter periods.

Guided by the advice of our instructor, we adhered to a structured approach in idea generation and validation. First was to identify a point of pain in the target market: Long distance of food establishments, transportation cost and students in search for part-time jobs. Second is to create a service so initially we came up with 2 ideas, and we were contemplating two distinct apps – one for food delivery and the other for job seekers – Upon further reflection and analysis of our target market's needs and preferences, we recognized the pragmatic appeal of integrating these features into a cohesive platform. By offering both food delivery services and part-time job opportunities within a single app, we streamline the user experience and create a more comprehensive solution for our target audience.

In this experience of ours, I have realized that I am with the right groupmates! Because we were diverse, diverse in the sense that we have different strengths and weaknesses, our various strengths can fill the weaknesses of each member. Reflecting on our team dynamics, we find strength in our diversity of skills and perspectives. Each member contributes uniquely to our collective vision, fostering a culture of collaboration and clear communication. So it's good, in our group I can say that I am 'The Hipster', I have enjoyed making our prototype, making the User Interface (UI) Designing and many more.

While photographic documentation was limited out of respect for privacy and confidentiality, interviewees refused to have pictures with us. Nontheless the camaraderie and shared vision among team members remain vividly evident. see below a snapshot of our meetings with my groupmates! Image #1 :Repetition & progression- The design of this product utilizes both concepts of repetition and progression. Graphic Designers are often tasked with creating packaging that communicates what a product is while also maintaining brand identity. The product above is a 4 pack of Starbucks gift cards, the lines on the packaging represent the outlines of the four cards within it. The repetition of the lines maintain consistent spacing until the end where the spacing progresses and caps the design. This design succeeds in using contrast to inform customers on what they can expect to receive. The design also uses the opportunity to consistently use the logo to reinforce brand identity.

Image #2 Scale- Scale is an essential tool in graphic design, Scale can have an incredible effect on the visual Impact of a design and the attention that is brought to it. Pokemon is an iconic brand that has made over $100 billion in revenue, The pokeball is also one of the most recognizable symbols in the world. It is because of this that the designer uses scale to maximize the visibility of the Pokeball. This will ensure that fans of the brand can easily recognize the brand and increase the chances that they will investigate the product. The design also uses scale to exaggerate the size of the product in order to emphasize that the set is for a “Jumbo” Pokeball.

Image #3- Repetition and plane; The product above ( a bag for a Birthday Gift) creates contrast by utilizing repetition to create a plane made from a field of text. This particular field of text has very open line spacing but the text remains visually impactful nontheless. There are a number of reasons this design could have been chosen for this product. The use of repetition and field of text helps reinforce the theme of the product (Birthdays) and maintain a celebratory atmosphere. The design could work as a direct visual representation of the buyer's well wishes. The design also provides a convenient solution for people who may be in need of a simple straightforward design.

Image #4- Active lines; The cover for “Down the drain” by Julia Fox reminded me of the concept of “Active lines” described in the lecture. Active lines utilize shape and size inconsistencies to create feelings of movement and guide focus. Because the book is titled “ Down the drain” the line of text on the cover is manipulated in a way that makes the words look like they are moving Downwards. The line of text is also manipulated to draw focus to the subject of the book (Julia Fox).

Image #5 Texture; This card creates contrast by utilizing the concept of texture. Texture refers to the “tactile grain of surfaces and substances.” This card is primarily made of a thick matte paper but utilizes a smooth gold foil material to create more visual interest in the product. The texture change could also have an impact in the appeal of the product as well, as the change in texture makes the product more enjoyable to feel. This use of texture may also give the illusion of higher quality which could be a determining factor in buying the product.
