A/N: Here's another fic that was on ao3 for like a day because it flopped so I deleted it. Let's hope it doesn't flop here too. 🫣😅
Summary: You have the honor of being one of Christine's bridesmaids at her wedding. But when you notice a certain person has been invited, it brings back heartbreaking memories.
Tumblr media
You woke up with a soft, little yawn. The warmth and comfort of your bed were addicting, your soft pillows far too inviting. But you had to get up. There was no time for sleeping. The day ahead was big. Christine – one of your good friends – was getting married. And Christine had been kind enough to offer you the role of one of her bridesmaids. You were honoured by the gesture.
You sat up in bed, eyeing the bridesmaid dress that was hanging on the door handle of your wardrobe. It was a gorgeous dress, and you couldn’t wait to slip into it. You jumped in the shower, did your hair and makeup, and put on the expensive dress. Nodding at your reflection in the mirror, you then made your way to the church. Soon, Christine would be a married woman, and you would be standing right there by her side.
There was a crowd already forming around the old church building, but one person stood out in her flowing, crisp white gown: Christine. Your heels clicked on the cement as you ran up to the other woman.
“Christine, you look so amazing,” you said in a shocked whisper. It was the truth. Christine looked stunning.
“Oh, thank you, Y/N,” beamed Christine. “So do you. I’m so excited for today. The day has finally arrived.”
“It’s gonna be such a good day,” you nodded.
You, Christine, and the rest of the bridesmaids stood there talking, with time passing by quickly. Soon, it was time for Christine to walk down the aisle and marry her soon to be husband.
Lining up with the bridesmaids, you sucked in a sharp breath, ready to enter the church. The music suddenly started, the doors opened up, and you heard a few gasps. There was a bridesmaid in front of you, and you quickly followed behind the other woman, taking slow steps with Christine not far behind you. Your eyes scanned the crowd, noting all the happy faces. You noted that Christine’s family were all the way at the front wearing teary smiles. The groom’s family was on the opposite side of the aisle, also with wet eyes. But it was the man a few rows up that really caught your attention. You could have sworn you almost went stiff right then and there.
It was Stephen Strange. Just the sight of him was enough to make your heart race. Christine and Stephen had been together many years ago. He was the man you used to spend so many days training with when you were at Kamar Taj. He was the man you had very quickly grown to love. He was the man you had kissed that night, after a hard day of training, when it was just the two of you all alone in the library at Kamar Taj.
But… He was also the man who had completely and utterly broken your heart. And ever since you shared that wild, heated kiss in the library, he seemed to want nothing to do with you. Stephen had been avoiding you ever since the incident. And because of that, you left Kamar Taj, the action breaking your heart in the process.
Taking a deep breath, you reminded yourself to focus. You looked ahead, so desperate not to see his face. You just walked down on the aisle, focusing on your job as a bridesmaid. That’s what you were there to do.
You took your place at the front of the church, watching on in silence as Christine and her future husband exchanged their vows. It was a wonderful moment that was sealed with a kiss. The crowd cheered, celebrating the new husband and wife.
Life was good for Christine and her husband.
******
You sat alone in the reception room. It was beautifully decorated, with food and drinks galore. There was so much to do and so much to celebrate, but you sat by yourself, sipping on an almost empty wine glass. You let out a sigh, hating that all of the old memories of you and Stephen had hit you like a truck.
Looking up at the crowd, you spotted a beaming Christine. And you just had to ask. You needed to know why she invited him.
“Hey,” you greeted her.
“Hi,” Christine smiled. “Sorry, I’m trying to be a good host and mingle here and there. Just trying to talk to everyone. Are you okay?”
“Why… Why did you invite Stephen?” you asked quietly. You were straight to the point, so eager to understand.
Christine shrugged. “Well, it was mostly my husband’s idea… Why? What’s the issue?”
“Stephen… Stephen and I had grown really close before. I thought there was something between us. We kissed one night. And it was such a wonderful kiss. But after that, it was like he forgot all about me. He stopped talking to me. He got all cold. I don’t know what I did to offend him. He… He really did break my heart,” you sighed, your eyes shutting as you felt an ache in your chest. “And seeing him here is hard. I’ve been upset ever since I saw him in the church. I still love him, Christine.”
Finally opening up your eyes, you watched as Christine sent you a kind, warm smile.
“You should go talk to him, Y/N,” Christine said.
You gave your head a furious shake. “No way. He probably wants nothing to do with me. He’ll just break my heart again. I don’t want to deal with that all over again.”
“Y/N, stop being so silly. I bet that Stephen was just scared about loving someone. You won’t know until you talk to him…”
The advice wasn’t bad, but you had yet to move. You stood there, biting at your bottom lip, contemplating what Christine was telling you. Could that have been true? Was Stephen just scared? If so, why didn’t he just tell you that instead of completely breaking your heart?
Christine let out a loud sigh. “Fine, I’ll go talk to him then.”
Christine moved far too quickly for you to even tell her to stop. You looked on with wide eyes, watching the back of the other woman’s head. She made her way to Stephen who was at the bar, by himself, slowly sipping on a drink in his hand.
Biting at your bottom lip, you watched as Stephen and Christine talked. You so badly wished you could read lips – or minds. They both stood there, talking to each other for a good five minutes. Then finally Christine walked away, making her way back over to you. Eager to know what they discussed, you opened your mouth to speak up, but Christine simply walked past you, a bright smile on her face. Following the woman with your eyes, you just watched as Christine made her way to her husband. You slowly turned, wondering what on earth had just happened. What did they say to each other?
“Y/N,” a voice said from behind you.
Stephen’s voice. You didn’t have to turn around to know that it was him. You knew his voice so well. Turning around slowly, you were met with Stephen’s dark eyes. You weren’t surprised to see that it was him. It was your first time seeing him up close in such a long time. As usual, he looked good. Too good. You weren’t sure if your cheeks were flushing red as you looked at him.
He cleared his throat. “Hi, Y/N…”
“Hi,” you replied, your voice quiet and laced with nervousness. The room suddenly felt so warm.
“How have you been?”
“I’ve been good. And yourself?”
“Oh, I’ve been doing alright,” he nodded.
You were certain that it was the end of your conversation. That you were going to exchange quick pleasantries and be on your way and then never speak to one another again. It was quiet between the two of you, the silence rather uncomfortable. You wondered how long you would have to stand there, taking in his eyes.
“Can we talk?” he asked you.
Deep down, you were screaming out no, certain history was going to repeat itself. He was going to break your heart and leave you in tears. But you still loved him. Loved him with everything in you. Of course, you were going to talk to him.
“Yes,” you let out with a whisper.
It took just seconds for the change to happen. You heard a sizzle in your ears, the music and noisy conversations suddenly fading as you were met with quietness. You had shut your eyes during the madness, and when you opened them you found yourself in the New York sanctum. All alone with Stephen.
You looked around the space, wondering why he had brought you back there even if he just wanted to talk. It would have been a lot easier to have a conversation there.
“I’m sorry,” Stephen suddenly said with a heavy sigh.
You finally looked at him. At his wet eyes and furrowed brows and his tightly pressed together lips. It was obvious he was upset. That he was sorry about something.
“What are you sorry about?” you asked him quietly.
“I’m sorry for avoiding you,” he admitted. “After that night in the library. And Kamar Taj. I’m sorry, Y/N.”
Tears quickly formed in your eyes. A fresh wave of pain hit you. He was admitting. Acknowledging what he had done. And it was like experiencing the heartache all over again. You hated the feeling. Hated that you couldn’t control your emotions – but he had hurt you so much.
“You broke my heart,” you told him softly. “That’s why I left Kamar Taj. I figured you wanted nothing to do with me after that…”
“Y/N, I’m sorry,” he murmured back to you, that look of pain still on his face. “I was so scared.”
“Scared of what?” you shrugged.
That was when Stephen took a few steps closer to you. He eyed you intensely, staring at nothing and no one but you.
“I was scared to love someone after what I had done to Christine. I had been a complete jerk to her. I hurt her. I completely blew it with her all those years ago… I was so scared that I would lose you too, Y/N.”
The tears started to fall after that. You could no longer hold them back. Why couldn’t he have just told you that before? You wished he had. You could have worked it out, could have talked about it, could have fought for your love for one another.
“Why couldn’t you just tell me you were scared?” you whimpered. “We could have just… We could have just figured something out.”
“I was scared you would have just left me…”
Shaking your head, you made sure to say your next words clearly. “I wouldn’t have just left you… Because I loved you.”
Stephen leaned forward, his warm, trembling hand cupping one of your cheeks softly. He used his thumb to wipe at your tears, rubbing at your skin as he looked at you. “I know… And I love you too. Maybe… Maybe we can figure this out again? But this time… together.”
Smiling at him with wet eyes, you nodded. “Yes. Of course. Yes, yes, yes… But… Why have you suddenly changed your mind?”
He smiled back at you, his eyes twinkling. “Christine told me not to be afraid of letting someone love me. And when she said that, I realised that it was you that I wanted to be with.”
Beaming up at him, your heart started to race when Stephen moved in, closing the gap between you. He pressed his lips to yours softly, and it took you just seconds to kiss him back. It was as wonderful as you had imagined in your head. You wrapped your arms around his back, and Stephen mimicked your motions, pulling you up against his own broad chest. You stood there kissing, your tongues slowly dancing together, with Stephen slowly guiding you toward his bed.
You both landed on it, your lips still attached, with a soft thud. You were growing wetter and wetter with each heated second that passed, your hands running up and down Stephen’s back, wanting to feel all of him. You felt exactly how you felt when you used to train together at Kamar Taj. You felt that need, that want, that hunger.
Pulling away from his lips with a gasp, you and Stephen both looked at each other with dark eyes. The room had grown hotter, and you knew then and there that you wanted more.
“Please make love to me,” you said, your voice barely a whisper.
“Are you sure?” he sucked in a sharp breath.
You nodded. “I’ve wanted this for so long.”
He smiled at you, his eyes twinkling again. “Okay.” Leaning down, he gave you another soft, slow kiss before getting off the bed and standing up.
You were about to pull off your dress, but you let out a shocked gasp when Stephen waved a gentle hand in your direction, and then a second later, both yours and his clothes had been removed.
You licked your lips at the sight of his bare form, watching as Stephen got in the bed and crawled over to you. Spreading your legs open, Stephen got in position between them, giving you a long kiss. When he pulled away, he looked down at you seriously.
“Are you sure you want this?” he wondered.
“Yes,” you moaned. You had never been so sure of anything in your life. “Please fuck me. Please, please, please.”
It took him just a second to make his next move. He pushed into you, filling you up with his cock. You moaned at the sensation, loving the new feeling of him stretching you out. Stephen grunted above you, and you fell in love with the noise.
He didn’t move. Just stayed there with his cock pushed deep inside of you. But then he looked down at you, eyes ever so dark.
“Are you okay?”
“Mhm,” you nodded. “Yeah, I’m okay. Please move, though. Please. I wanna feel you.”
He listened to you. He began to pump in and out of you slowly, soft grunts escaping his lips with each movement. You joined in, letting out your own noises of pleasure before you pulled him in for a quick yet passionate kiss.
“You’re so big,” you whispered against his lips. You kept whining as he thrusted in and out of you, but you needed more. “Oh, please go faster.”
Once again, he listened. The tip of his cock met that sweet spot deep inside of you, forcing a shrill cry out of you.
“Oh, Stephen!” you squealed, wrapping your arms around his back. You scratched his back, letting pleasure take over. The sounds of your moans mixed in with the noises of skin slapping skin. That was all that could be heard in the bedroom: the sound of the two of you making love.
Stephen kissed you for a moment, his moans loud. “You feel so good.”
“Please don’t stop,” you begged in response.
“I promise I won’t. God, I promise I won’t stop.”
He kept moving, kept taking you, and you looked up to watch him closely. He was sweating and his hair was sticking to his forehead. You were certain he was the most beautiful thing you had ever laid eyes on. You couldn’t help but kiss him, and he kissed you back, your tongues dancing together for a long moment.
“Please fuck me harder,” you pleaded when you pulled away from him. “And faster. Please.”
Stephen lifted himself up, his big hands on either side of your head, a look of total darkness in his eyes. He looked so serious, so lost in lust. And then he pumped into you exactly as you had asked: hard and fast, his movements so wild and quick. You cried out his name, your eyes rolling into the back of your head.
Reaching down, you held the warm covers tight, pulling at them as you moaned. He kept fucking you, and with each and every thrust, you found yourself getting closer and closer to your peak. Your orgasm was blossoming; it was just seconds away.
“I’m gonna cum,” you whined. “Please don’t stop!”
He nodded down at you, fucking you harder and faster and deeper, giving you every inch of his cock. It was with one hard thrust that you lost it, your orgasm hitting you suddenly.
“I’m cumming!” You came around his length, coating him with your juices as you squealed. It felt so good. So hot. Your pussy was gushing around him as you lost it, drenching his length.
“I’m so close,” Stephen muttered, still pumping you full of his cock. He was grunting above you.
“Mm, please cum inside me. You can do it. It’s safe. Please,” you whimpered. You were slowly coming down from your high.
It took Stephen just four thrusts into you before he lost it. He came with a deep grunt, emptying himself inside of you, your pussy milking every drop from him. Licking at his lips, he kept moving, kept giving you his length and every last rope of cum he could give you. Then he pulled out and collapsed right then and there on top of you, the both of you breathing hard and fast. You had to catch your breath.
It took a moment, but Stephen rolled off of you and pulled you to his chest. He stared down at you, his eyes focused on your own.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
You nodded. “Yeah, I’m okay.”
Stephen gave you a bright smile, and you both leaned in close, sharing a sweet, soft kiss. You nuzzled into Stephen’s chest, loving the feeling of his arms wrapping around you tighter and harder. He felt so warm, so cosy. He felt like home. You were beyond happy to be there in his bed, in his arms, having just made love to him. More importantly: you were happy to just be with him, and you were especially filled with delight after you had worked things out and could finally be together.
“So, do you plan on coming back to Kamar Taj?” Stephen asked in a hopeful tone.
You looked up at him, staring into his blue eyes. “I’ll think about it, but I think you owe me a few dates and more of this before I make a decision,” You smiled, teasing him.
Stephen chuckled, and your heart soared from hearing that sound and finally seeing him happy with you. “Deal.”
You smiled at him again before leaning in and kissing him softly. He kissed you back before you pulled away. “I love you, Stephen Strange.”
“I love you too, sweetheart,” Stephen told you.
You shared one final kiss before you fell asleep in Stephen’s arms, happier than you had ever been in your whole life. It was the ending you had craved for so long, and you finally got it.

Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone-Chapter VII
We Robert ‘Bob’ Floyd x Female Reader (no use of y/n)
She’s always gone too long
(previous chapter here, next chapter here)
Tumblr media
Warnings: talk of medical stuff (sutures, blood, needles, etc)
“They’re being evaluated by medical now.”
A wave of nausea hits you at Penny’s words. Relief that he’s alive, along with everyone else, but fearing the extent of his injuries. You plop down beside her on the stairs with a heavy sigh. Penny squeezes your shoulder before rubbing a hand over your back.
“Does it get easier? The deployments?” You ask, already knowing the answer.
“No. It doesn’t. All you can do is try not to worry and pray they make it back.” She replies.
________________________________________
Waiting is the worst part. You and Steve hang out with Penny and Amelia in the house for the day, watching Nicholas Sparks movies on the couch.
Your phone starts to buzz. It’s a text from Jake.
Jake: Hey Sun. I haven’t seen them yet, but I think they’re okay. They took them to medical on scoop stretchers as a precaution but heard Nat bitching about it, and you know she would’ve been a wreck if she wasn’t sure Bob was good. You okay?
Tears of relief spring to your eyes. You feel like you can breathe again. He’s right, Natasha would’ve been fighting them every step of the way if Bob hadn’t responded to her.
Sunny: Oh thank God. I’ve been worried sick. I’m okay now. Thank you thank you thank you for telling me. Are you okay? Did you see them come in?
Jake: No problem, I’d want to know too if I wasn’t here. I heard them take the hit and about lost it. But Nat was so calm. Bob too, as usual. Just calmly asked them to deploy the barrier net as it was gonna be rough. I thought I was gonna puke. But she landed it perfectly under the circumstances, like always.
You get a picture from him and gasp when you open it—it’s a gorgeous, white-gold diamond engagement ring.
Jake: Don’t say anything, but I’m asking her to marry me when I get to see her. I’ve had the ring for a while, just been trying to plan the perfect proposal. But after today I realized it doesn’t matter, she doesn’t care. Life’s too fucking short.
Sunny: OMG JAKE! It’s gorgeous! She’s going to love it! Congratulations!
Jake: Don’t jinx it! She hasn’t said yes yet. 😬
Sunny: Lol, there’s no doubt in my mind that she will. I better get an invite to the wedding.
Jake: Of course, if Nat doesn’t steal you as a bridesmaid, you’ll be standing with me as a groomsman. I think you can pull off a tux.
Sunny: Haha, I don’t know about that. I’d do it for you though.
Sunny: Nat told me you wanted to kill Derek that night at the Hard Deck. I’m really glad you didn’t (you’re too pretty for prison), but thank you for being my corner.
Jake: I would’ve in a heartbeat (I look good in orange) but I couldn’t have lived with myself if he would’ve hurt you because I stepped in. I’m sorry I didn’t see the signs sooner and wasn’t there for you.
Sunny: It’s not your fault. Nor is it mine I’ve come to realize. I’m just glad he’s gone and I can talk freely to you guys again.
Jake: Me too. I missed you. Hey, I gotta go. I think one of the nurses is coming. I’ll keep you updated if Bob can’t have his phone.
Sunny: Sounds good, thanks again, Jake. Go get your girl!
________________________________________
You fill Penny and Amelia in on what Jake’s told you, leaving the proposal out since it’s not your news to share. Soon after, Penny leaves the room to take Pete’s call.
Amelia heads out too, going to get ready to hang with friends now that the dark cloud hanging over you all has lifted.
Soon Penny is back, offering no updates other than that they should hopefully be stateside again in the next day or two.
You head back up to your apartment to feed Steve his supper when you get another incoming text, this time from Nat.
Nat: Hey, Bob’s okay! He has a cut on his cheek from the glass and some bruising on his chest from the restraints, but he’s okay. I just got discharged and doc was going in by Bradley next, and then Bob.
You take a deep breath, the weight finally lifting from your chest.
Sunny: THANK YOU. I don’t even know what to say. I can’t express to you how grateful I am for getting him got him back. How are you?
Nat: I told you I’d bring him back safe. I’m great actually. 💍
A picture comes through of her and Jake. Tear-stained faces pressed together and grinning from ear to ear as she holds up her left hand, showing off her new ring.
Sunny: CONGRATULATIONS! What a beautiful ring! I’m so happy for you two!
Nat: He did good, didn’t he? I hate to do this, but can I let you go? Jake wants to call his mama and show her.
Sunny: Of course! Thank you again. Love ya.
Nat: Love you! See you soon!

Bradley calls soon after.
“Hey Sunny girl, how are ya? Holding up okay?”
“Hey, yeah I’m good now that I know you’re all okay. How are you?”
“Physically, I’m fine, I didn’t need medical but it’s protocol if you’re hit. Mentally though? I’m a little shaken up actually.” He replies, the vulnerability in his response surprising you.
“Will you tell me about it?” You ask, phrasing it that way so he doesn’t feel pressured.
“Yeah, okay. I knew they had me locked in and I barrel-rolled to avoid the brunt of it, but in that split second I—I know it sounds cliche but my life flashed before my eyes. I thought I was done for, that I’d be seeing my rents again soon,” voice shaking, he continues, “The whole flight back I just kept thinking about everything I haven’t experienced, I mean I’ve done some cool shit in my life but…I don’t have anyone to share it with. No one to come home to, just an empty, quiet house. I don’t mean—I…I know I have you back again, I’m so grateful for that, and your mom and dad have never stopped trying, even though I keep them at arms length. Fuck, this isn’t coming out right at all, sorry.” He laughs wetly through his tears. “I just wanna love someone like my dad loved my mom, you know? Marriage, kids all that. Man, who knew almost dying would turn you into a sap?”
Your heart hurts for him. “I understand. It’s okay to want those things. You’ll find her.”
“I hope so. If not, I’ll just join you and Bob. We can be a throuple.” He replies, voice clearer now, back to his antics.
You laugh. “Maybe not that, but you know I’m always here for you, right? My parents too. And Mav and Penny. We all love you.”
“Yeah, I know. Thanks, Sunny girl. Hey, I think Bob’s about done. I’ll let you go. See you in a few days, alright?”
“Sounds good, can’t wait to see you all” you reply, hanging up.
________________________________________
You lay on the couch and Steve joins you, plopping down with a heavy sigh on your chest, pushing the air out of your lungs. You laugh and boop his nose. “You’re relieved too, huh?”
Your heart begins to pound when your phone rings. You accept the FaceTime and burst into tears as his sweet face appears, looking as handsome as ever, even when sporting a neatly sutured cut on his cheek.
“Oh no, I’m okay. I’m so sorry, honey. Please, don’t cry.” He says, slurring slightly.
“No, I’m sorry, I’m just so relieved. Are you okay? You sound funny.” You ask, laughing as Steve’s head pops up when he hears Bob.
“Yeah,” he yawns. “So I really don’t like needles. And they told me they had to numb the cut first so they could put stitches in. Then they pulled out this big needle and were about to stick it in my face to numb it. But then I got super lightheaded and the nurse told the doctor I was going…vasovaginal or something? Then they laid me down and put my feet up for a few minutes and gave me…a lousy-pam pill? I think that’s what they said, I don’t know, it made me tired though. I told them I don’t have a vagina though. Why would they say that Sunny?”
You bite your lip to keep from laughing as you answer. “It sounds like you had a vasovagal reaction, which just means you were about to faint. It happens all the time when needles are involved. They put your feet up to get the blood flowing back to your head. The pill sounds like it was lorazepam, to help you relax to have the stitches done. Which looks good, by the way.”
“Oh…okay. That makes sense. God, you’re so smart, Sun” he chuckles.
“Thanks,” You smile, tears already drying.
He is going to be mortified tomorrow if he remembers this.
You can see he’s fighting to keep his eyes open. “I’m sorry, but I think I’m gonna go to bed. I’m just so tired.”
“I understand. I’m just glad I was able to see you. Do you know if anyone called Annie?”
“I’m not sure, could you though? And tell her I love her?” He mumbles, eyes drifting closed, the phone dropping slightly in his hand.
“Yeah, I’ll call her. Goodnight. I’m so glad you’re okay”.
“Me too. Night, love you”. He replies, hanging up.
Even though you know it's a slip off the tongue, your heart stutters.
________________________________________
You shoot a text to Annie asking if she has a few minutes to chat and she calls you nstantly.
You tell her what happened and apologize for not getting in touch sooner, but you didn’t want to worry her while she’s on vacation until you knew more.
“It’s okay, I understand and appreciate it.” She assures you, talking over the girls who are yelling for her in the background. She lets you go after promising her a coffee date when she’s back.
You let Steve out a last time, get your work stuff ready for the next day, and fall into bed early, utterly exhausted from the stress of the day.
________________________________________
Bob wakes up the next morning stiff and sore, but feeling well rested. As he’s stretching the kinks out, the conversation with Sunny comes rushing back to him. He groans as he remembers telling her about fainting over a needle. He feels like he might be sick when he recalls saying ‘I love you’.
He doesn’t have time to dwell on it though, as Bradley knocks on the door, giving him a 5-minute warning before their debriefing.
________________________________________
You check your phone on your lunch break and you have a single unread text.
Penny: They’ll be back tonight by 6.

A/N: Sorry for the little cliff hanger last night. I think this is the first chapter I’ve written with no smut lol. Any one catch on to what I’m setting up for Bradley?

Signs of Love
Aaron Hotchner x BAU!Reader
summary: During your special day with Aaron, he couldn’t help but reminisce about the small moments that led up to the day he finally got to call you his wife.
content: Fluffy lovesick Aaron with reader, Haley’s not dead in this fic, mentions of BAU team (yes, I’m including Gideon and Elle in this), B99 reference if you squint, mushy lovey dovey couple
word count: 4.9k
A/N: i am finally back! with a fic for all of my lovely hotch girls! honestly, this was such a joy to write- as a hopeless romantic, you bet that this got me yearning so bad. but, i hope all of you love it as much as i enjoyed writing it :) let me know what you think!
ps. italics are flashbacks :)
Tumblr media
When Haley served Aaron with divorce papers, he tried to come to terms with the fact that he may not have a second chance at love. At least, that’s what he thought until you came knocking on his door to introduce yourself as the new agent that Erin Strauss had hired. He didn’t know that a few years later, he would be standing in front of you at the altar to exchange your vows to promise your unending love for each other.
Aaron couldn’t help but think that his life was finally falling back into place- he had you, the woman who he thought was the walking definition of his soulmate, the woman who loved Jack just like her own, and the woman who he found solace in.
Today was the perfect day- well, Aaron would say that it would be his favorite day just next to the day that Jack was born. Everything seemed as if it jumped out of a Disney film. You wanted a traditional church wedding, you said that it reminded you of the films that you’ve seen growing up- Aaron granted your wish. It wasn’t a big, white wedding. In fact, it was blooming with various flowers that ranged from all the colors- but, Aaron still thought you were the most beautiful one out there, especially in your wedding dress.
“You okay, baby?” You smiled and gently placed your hand on his cheek as you sat down next to him at the reception, “You seem to be deep in thought.”
“Just thinking about how lucky I got, Mrs. Hotchner,” Aaron mumbled with a smile and kissed your palm, “And how I can finally call you my wife.”
You laughed softly and rubbed your thumb against his cheek, “And I can say the same about you, Aaron. I’m the luckiest girl in the world to call you my husband.”
Aaron grinned before leaning in to kiss you on the lips and pulled away a few moments later to lean his forehead against yours, “You think so?”
Scrunching your nose at him and smiling, “I know so, Mr. Hotchner.”
The two of you smiled at each other as if you were the only people in the world. Aaron didn’t know but you secretly thanked the stars every night before the two of you went to sleep just because you were grateful that your paths crossed.
“Bridesmaids and maid of honor need Mrs. Hotchner for a moment!” Penelope grinned as she grabbed onto your hand and pulled you to the table where JJ and Emily sat, “We’ll be back! Thank you, sir Hotch!”
You laughed as you were being dragged away and blew a kiss towards Aaron and mouthed a quick ‘I love you’. Aaron smiled as he shook his head at the antics of the team and watched as you happily chatted away with the girls and twirled to show your dress to them.
Aaron looked around the reception with a small smile on his face, it wasn’t extravagant- the two of you just wanted your loved ones to be present at your special day. Haley and Jess were laughing as Spencer tried to distract Jack and Henry with the new tricks he’s learned for them. Derek was smiling as he catched up with Elle, and Dave shared a drink with his old friend, Jason.
Looking down on the silver band on his finger, Aaron couldn’t help but reminisce about the small moments when he knew he loved you.
I.
As far as Aaron knew, he hated traffic as much as anyone else. He hated the way cars impatiently honked at one another even if they knew it would contribute to absolutely nothing to get the cars moving.
“You know I wouldn’t be surprised if you left a dent on the steering wheel from how hard you’re gripping it right now, Hotch,” You looked at him with a small smile, “Relax, traffic isn’t that bad.”
“Isn’t that bad?” Aaron scoffed as he let go of the steering wheel and cracked his fingers, “It’s the worst thing in the world. It consumes too much of the time left in a day.”
“Well, now, you’re being a total grump,” You frowned at him as you leaned back against your seat, “You should be grateful I accompanied you because the doctor advised no flying for you yet.”
“It’s just- I’m sorry, (Y/L/N),” He sighed and ran a hand down his face out of frustration, “It’s just the honking is so irritating. Don’t you think so?”
“Okay, you do have a point there,” You shrugged as you looked out the car window and followed the rain drops falling down from the glass, “It is irritating when cars keep honking, the owners need a smack on the head for some logic because it doesn’t contribute to making the traffic move any faster.”
“I’m glad you see my point,” Aaron mumbled as he mindlessly tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, “Are you cold?”
Smiling sheepishly at Aaron, you hesitantly shook your head, “No, it’s fine. I mean it isn’t that cold.”
“You’ve got goosebumps on your skin, (Y/L/N),” Aaron chuckled lightly as he reached over to the back and grabbed one of his quarter zips and handed it to you, “Here, I don’t mind letting you borrow it.”
“Oh no, it’s okay!” You waved your hands and smiled, “You use it instead! You must be cold.”
“You have a boyfriend that wouldn’t be happy if he smelled another man’s cologne on you?”
You rolled your eyes playfully and crossed your arms, “No, I don’t even have a boyfriend to begin with.”
“Then why won’t you wear it? You’re clearly cold whether you want to admit it or not.”
“Okay, fine, I’ll wear it,” You groaned as you wore his quarter zip that was a little too big on you, “There, you happy?”
“Very much so. It’s amusing as to how small you are,” Aaron grinned until you punched him lightly on the arm, “I’m only kidding! You’re fun sized.”
“And you’re grumpy sized,” You poked your tongue out at him, “Can I turn on the radio? Just thought that maybe it could drown out the honking for you.”
“Sure, go ahead. I’m curious about your music taste.”
“I have spectacular taste in music, for your information,” You grinned as you leaned over to turn on the radio and find a station that struck a chord until you heard the opening notes of Fleetwood Mac’s Everywhere, “Oh my god, I love this song!”
Aaron turned to you and smiled, “You like Fleetwood Mac?”
“Like? I absolutely love them!” You squealed as you grabbed your water bottle to sing along, “Can you hear me calling out your name? You know that I’m falling and I don’t know what to say.”
Aaron chuckled as he pulled out his phone, “I’m going to record this to show Garcia you cheated on your karaoke night with the girls.”
“I don’t care, I’m in my element,” You grinned as you pointed at Aaron to sing the chorus of the song, “This isn’t blackmail if I’m enjoying it.”
Aaron shook his head with a laugh as he set his phone down to take in the sight before him- you letting loose to your favorite song in something he hates the most, traffic. But maybe, he wouldn’t mind getting stuck in traffic if he gets to have you in the passenger seat. Maybe, he does resonate with the song. Aaron felt his stomach do a flip, but he dismissed it- he doesn’t think it’s love. But, that’s just what he tries to convince himself.
II.
Aaron groaned as he stretched out his legs to take a break from the endless paperwork he’s been going through since he entered the doors of the BAU. Checking the time on his watch, he sighed and realized it was past 9 pm, but what shocked him even more was that he wasn’t alone in the office at this time. You were slumped over your desk with the little light being some sort of message to tell him that ‘I’m here’ if he wanted your presence around.
Making his way to your desk, he gently placed a hand on your shoulder to avoid startling you. He didn’t want to disturb how peaceful you looked, but he was certain that your neck would ache from the uncomfortable position that you were in, “(Y/L/N)...wake up.”
You stirred lightly before slowly blinking your eyes and rubbing it sleepily, “Huh? What time is it?”
“It’s past 9 pm,” Aaron mumbled as he leaned against your desk, “What are you still doing here? It’s not like you to stay behind after hours.”
“Just wanted to see if you needed any company,” You mumbled as you sat up and stretched your arms out, “Are you done with your paperwork?”
Aaron hesitated for a moment and smiled softly, “Yeah, I’m done with my paperwork. Are you?”
“Yeah, I finished them before I fell asleep,” You smiled sleepily and gathered your things before putting them in your bag, “Are you going home now?”
“Actually, I was going to grab some dinner,” Aaron looked down at you, “Do you want to tag along? I don’t mind the company.”
“That’d be great,” You smiled up at him as your stomach grumbled and chuckled, “I didn’t get the chance to eat since I was completely knocked out.”
Aaron nodded and smiled, “Let me just grab my things, give me a minute.”
Walking back to the office to gather his things, he chuckled at the sight of his paperwork being left alone just so he could grab a late dinner with you. He didn’t mind that though. Dave scolded him every time he holed himself up in the office to finish up, he said, ‘Aaron, you’re missing out on many things in life.’ Maybe, he wouldn’t miss out on you this time. Looking out the window of his office, you looked like an angel from the way the light shone on you- especially, when you let your hair down. Aaron felt his heart beat faster at the sight, but he tried to think of other things to calm himself.
“So, what’d you have in mind for dinner?” Aaron asked as the two of you walked to the elevator, “My treat.”
You grinned as you teased him and nudged his shoulder, “What a gentleman. Is this a date?”
“Just answer the question,” Aaron chuckled as he shook his head and put a hand on your back as you walked out of the elevator, “Don’t worry about the subway, I’ll drive you home.”
“Not to be unhealthy but, I’m kinda craving for some McDonalds,” You laughed as you got inside Aaron’s car, “Just some plain old burger and fries would be fine.”
“Then we’ll get you some McDonalds,” Aaron turned to smile at you as he drove out of the parking lot and to the nearest McDonalds, “You can come in to work an hour late tomorrow. I feel bad that you had to wait for me.”
“It’s fine, Hotch,” You smiled at him as you fumbled with your coat, “Completely my decision, y’know? I mean, I’ve got a free meal from you.”
Aaron laughed as he shook his head and maneuvered his car to the McDonalds drive-thru and mentioned your orders to the cashier, and handed over your food as he started driving to your apartment, “Eat up, I’ll eat mine when I get home.”
“It’s okay, I don’t want to make a mess in your car,” You laughed as you looked over at him under the street lights shining on his face, “Jack with you tonight?”
“Yeah, Jess told me he’s waiting for me,” Aaron replied with a small smile on his face, “Promised that I’d read him a story tonight.”
“Well then, it’s good that you finished your paperwork tonight,” You smiled as he pulled up to your apartment, “Thanks for the food and the ride, Hotch.”
“No problem, (Y/L/N). Thank you for waiting for me, too.”
Shaking your head with a smile, you got out of the car and started walking towards your apartment. Aaron rolled his window down and called out, “Hey, (Y/L/N)!”
You turned around with a smile and tilted your head slightly, “Yeah?”
“It’s a date, by the way,” Aaron called out with a smile as you blushed in response, “I’ll take you out to a nicer place next time.”
Standing there with a big smile on your face, “I’ll see you at work tomorrow, Agent Hotchner. Get home to Jack.”
Aaron waved you goodbye as he waited for you to enter your apartment before driving off, feeling his heart beat faster from the adrenaline of the impulsiveness of his actions. He doesn’t regret it though, he had to stop beating around the bush and he found the perfect opportunity when you teased him. Although he only held onto Dave and Derek teasing about the possibility of you garnering a crush on him, he didn’t know that you hurriedly called JJ to squeal about your excitement from what just happened. But, your text confirmed that you did feel the same way about him.
(Y/N) (Y/L/N): If you were actually serious, I wouldn’t mind eating McDonalds again. Anywhere would be great as long as I’m with you. Goodnight, Hotch :)
III.
It’s been a few months since Aaron asked you to be his girlfriend. It wasn’t long until he told you that he’d love you to meet Jack, which definitely got on your nerves because what if he didn’t like you? Aaron reassured you that his son would like you as much as he did. He wanted to say love- but, he thought that it was too soon.
When Aaron introduced you to Jack, the two of you immediately hit it off. Jack wanted to show you his Captain America pajamas, his LEGOs, and even asked you to build some with him. It wasn’t until Jack asked you to come to his soccer games, but unfortunately, you were busy that time, which caused the little Hotchner to sulk.
“Hey, buddy, what’s wrong?” Aaron frowned as he gently combed Jack’s hair back and wiped the sweat off his face, “You’re doing a great job.”
“I just…I really wanted (Y/N) to be here,” Jack mumbled as he looked down at his feet, “I wanted her to see me play.”
Aaron sighed as he brought his son in for a hug, “I want her to be with us here too, buddy. But, she promised she’ll see you at your next game, remember?”
“Yeah…” Jack mumbled against Aaron’s neck, “ Can we call her tonight?”
“Of course, buddy,” Aaron smiled softly as he patted his son’s back, “Now, why don’t you play your best for (Y/N) and I?”
Jack pulled away and nodded eagerly as he ran back to his teammates to play the next game. Aaron’s phone rang and immediately picked it up as soon as he saw your name on the caller ID, “Hey, sweetheart.”
“Hi, love,” You tried your best to keep yourself from laughing through the phone, “I wanted to ask you something.”
“Hm, what is that?”
“How do you look good in a plain, gray shirt?”
“Sweetheart, what are you talking about?” Aaron mumbled through the phone as he turned around to try and find you, “Are you here at the soccer field? How do you know what I’m wearing?”
“You know, I can see you right now. Looking all cute with your furrowed eyebrows,” You laughed as you took off your hoodie and sunglasses, “See me now?”
Aaron grinned as he hung up the call put his phone back in his pocket and made his way to you, pulling you in a hug, “I thought you had some errands to do?”
“Canceled them all,” You grinned up and wrapped your arms around his neck, “Just wanted to surprise Jack at his game today.”
“He’s got you wrapped around his little finger, huh?” Aaron chuckled as he settled his hands on your waist, “He was really sulky just now, though.”
“God, I hate seeing him all sad,” You sighed as you pulled away from the hug and pulled out a handwritten banner with ‘Go Jack Hotchner’ written on it and drew his favorite superheroes all over, “That’s why I made this for him.”
Aaron smiled as he kissed you softly, “He’s going to love it, sweetheart. C’mon, he’s still playing now.”
As the two of you made your way back to where Aaron was previously located, Jack hadn’t noticed your presence until you started cheering for him loudly with the banner held up high, “That’s our star player! Jack Hotchner!”
Jack immediately perked up as he spotted you and had the biggest smile on his face while he waved at you, “(Y/N), you made it!”
“Go, Jack, go!” You cheered as he scored another goal for his team, “Let’s go Jack Hotchner!”
When the referee announced Jack’s team to be the winner, he ran as quickly as his little legs were able to and tackled you in a hug, “(Y/N)! You came! You’re here!”
“Of course, I’m here,” You grinned as you wrapped your arms around him and carried him, “How could I ever miss it, buddy?”
“You said you were busy today,” Jack mumbled against your neck as he wrapped his arms around your neck, “But, I’m really happy you saw me play, (Y/N).”
“And, I’ll cancel my plans for you anytime as long as I’m able to, Jack,” You smiled and kissed the side of his head, “You did great today. Our little star player.”
Aaron watched the two of you with a fond smile on his face and brought you in a hug, “Guess we’re both happy today, aren’t we, Jack?”
“Very happy, daddy!” Jack grinned as he put his arm around Aaron and pulled you both closer towards his cheeks, “Love you, (Y/N) and daddy.”
“Love you, Jackers,” You chuckled as he kissed your cheek, “Do you want some ice cream over there?”
Jack nodded eagerly as he looked over at Aaron for his go signal, which he happily received, “What kind of ice cream do you like, (Y/N)? I like cookies and cream!”
“Well, for starters, I like bubblegum,” You smiled at Jack as the two of you walked over to the ice cream truck, “But, any flavor is fine by me.”
Aaron started packing Jack’s things back in his duffle bag with a smile, he was happy as to how you and Jack got along so well together- just like two peas in a pod.
“You’ve got a lovely wife there, son,” An elderly man smiled at Aaron as he held on to his grandson’s hand, “Jack’s mentioned him a few times to my grandson, Trevor. Says she always plays with his LEGOs with him.”
Aaron stared blankly before smiling back at the elderly man, “Oh. She’s not my wife, at least, not yet.”
He smiled and patted Aaron’s back before heading off, “You’ve got a keeper, better take care of her.”
Smiling at the elderly man and turning his attention towards you and Jack, both goofing around while walking back to him and eating the ice cream in hand, “Yeah, that’s what I plan on doing. Not gonna run from love the second time around.”
Aaron knows that the future isn’t certain for anyone, no matter how hard they wished for it. But, one thing’s for sure– he knew that you were his present and will still be his future.
IV.
It’s been two years since you and Aaron had started dating- it’s safe to say that Aaron would call it the start of the happiness seeping back in his life. It wasn’t that long after your second anniversary that he asked you to move in at his apartment. When the boys in the team had asked what made him certain of his decision, Aaron simply shrugged and responded, “I guess I just wanted to start off the day with her getting all worked up over the daily crossword.”
It was a Saturday night, Aaron was left alone in his apartment and mindlessly flipped through the copy of Pride and Prejudice because he wanted to try and read it after you gushed all about Mr. Darcy to him one night. You told him he didn’t have to stay up to wait for you because JJ would bring you home after the BAU girls night, but he insisted he would. He didn’t admit it at most times, but he didn’t sleep too soundly without you by his side.
“Aaron? I’m home,” You called out as you closed the door behind you with the sound of plastic crinkling along, “Are you still up?”
“Hey, sweetheart,” Aaron smiled as he set the book down and made his way to wrap his arms around your waist to give you a kiss, “What’ve you got there?”
“I have a surprise for you,” You giggled as you hid the plastic bags behind your back, “Sit on the couch and close your eyes, please.”
Aaron playfully rolled his eyes and mumbled a ‘Fine.’ as he did what you told him to, “I swear, I don’t want some sort of insect on me, (Y/N).”
You laughed as you shook your head, “I promise, you’ll love it, Aaron. How can I possibly do that to you?”
“Well, okay, you have a point,” Aaron laughed as his hands covered his eyes, “But, I’ll still have my doubts. Those were large plastic bags that you brought in.”
Rolling your eyes with a smile, you set the plastic bags on his lap and bit your lip in anticipation, “Okay, you can open them now.”
Aaron took his hands off and looked at you for a moment before his eyebrows furrowed in curiosity, “This is a bit heavy?”
You shrugged with a mischievous smile, “Just open it, Aaron.”
As Aaron pulled the box out of the bag, he looked at you with his mouth agape, “(Y/N), you did not just- are you kidding me?”
You shook your head with a big smile while Aaron mirrored your expression as he pulled the record player out of the box and set it on the couch and moved on to take out The Beatles’ White Album vinyl with a note that had the words scribbled, ‘Dear Aaron, I Will (0:44-0:57). Yours always, (Y/N).’
“Come here, you,” Aaron mumbled as he set down the vinyl and stood up to pull you in a hug and kissed your temple, “You’re literally full of surprises, huh?”
“Well, I made JJ stop over at the store I saw these two were displayed in,” You grinned up at him while resting your chin on his chest, “And, just the first of many, my love.”
Aaron held your face as he pulled you in for a kiss and smiled, “Why don’t we test it out?”
Nodding your head, Aaron lifted the record player and set it on the coffee table while carefully putting on the vinyl and setting the needle to where he believed a certain song would play.
Smiling as he held his hand out, “May I have this dance, my love?”
“Always, Aaron,” You grinned and took his hand, you wrapped your arms around his neck while his arms found home on your waist, “Hm, I guess this is our song now?”
“If you want it to be,” Aaron smiled softly as he pulled you closer, “Then, it’ll be our song.”
The two of you swayed in the dimly lit living room as ‘I Will’ played in the background, which Aaron started softly singing to while holding you in his arms. He knew that the song sweetly resonated in his heart that beats just for you.
V.
“You’re not heading home yet?” JJ peered over at your desk as you jotted away on the remaining paperwork you had, “It’s getting late, (Y/N).”
“Just gonna finish this,” You smiled softly up at your best friend, “Besides, Aaron’s still here. He still might be finishing up some, too.”
“Alright then, I’ll see you tomorrow,” She smiled as she gently pulled you to a side hug, “Text me when you get home, yeah?”
Nodding and smiling up at her, “Always. Say hi to Henry and Will for me.”
JJ waved at you as she exited the doors of the BAU, leaving you alone at your desk. Well, technically, Aaron was still holed up in his office, you just didn’t want to disturb him. Right as he passed through your mind, your phone buzzed on your desk.
Aaron 🕵🏻❤️: Hey sweetheart. Can you come here? I’ve got something to ask.
Aaron 🕵🏻❤️: Just about some consults.
Looking up from your phone, Aaron’s office blinds were closed and dimly lit inside. He must’ve fallen asleep from the amount of paperwork to be filled out, you haven’t even seen him since this morning.
As you gently knocked on his door and opened it, your ears registered the opening notes of Fleetwood Mac’s Everywhere, which made your eyebrows furrow, “Aaron? Wha- oh my god.”
Rose petals were scattered on the floor while fairy lights decorated the walls of Aaron’s office with the notes that you always put along with his daily cup of coffee. Aaron stood by his desk with Jack holding on his hand, who softly whispered, “Go, daddy.”
“Sweetheart, I know this isn’t about some consults like you thought it would be,” Aaron chuckled as you had tears forming in your eyes, “But, I thought that there was something much more important to ask than those.”
“Not long ago, well actually, six years ago, you were the agent that Strauss had hired for the team. I didn’t know how much you’d mean to me when you knocked on my door. Sweetheart, don’t cry,” Aaron smiled softly as he walked over to you and wiped the tears on your cheeks, “I knew there was no turning back the day I got stuck in traffic with you- when you sang to the song that’s currently playing. Then, we started dating and we’re coming close to our fourth year together. You aren’t my past, but you’re my present. And, here I am asking you to be my future- well, our future.”
Jack grinned as he squeezed in the hug and sneakily handed the velvet box to his dad, “What do you say, sweetheart? Will you marry me?”
“Daddy, no! I want to be a part, too,” Jack huffed as he tugged on Aaron’s sleeve, “I want to ask (Y/N) if she wants to be my momma!”
“Okay, buddy, my bad,” Aaron laughed as he pulled out the velvet box to reveal a diamond ring in it, “Will you marry us? Will you become our lifelong partner and Jack’s momma?”
You laughed as you sniffled and wiped your tears with the back of your hand and nodded eagerly, “Yes, a million times, yes.”
Aaron smiled brightly as he slipped the ring on your finger and pulled you in for a kiss, “I love you. I love you with all that I am, sweetheart.”
“I love you so much, Aaron,” You whispered against his lips as you rubbed your thumbs on his cheeks, “You’re my everything.”
Aaron smiled as he reached down to carry Jack in his arms and pulled you in another hug while he whispered sweet nothings in your ear and swayed to the opening notes of your song. He was certain that in all the lifetimes that he’ll ever have, he would always do everything he can to find his way back home. And, that’s what you were.
“Daddy, are you feeling okay?” Jack mumbled as he climbed in Aaron’s lap and put the back of his hand on his father’s forehead, “You’ve been staring at momma with a smile on your face for the past few minutes. I don’t think you heard me.”
Aaron chuckled as he ruffled up Jack’s hair, “Yeah, buddy, I’m okay- just couldn’t help but think how lucky I am to have momma in my life. We’re lucky boys, aren’t we?”
“Yeah, daddy!” Jack nodded eagerly and smiled, “I’m glad that I have another momma to love me as much as mommy does.”
“Hey, Mr. Hotchner,” You called out from the dance floor where you and the BAU girls were standing, “What do you think of having our first dance?”
“I’d love that, Mrs. Hotchner,” Aaron grinned as he made his way across the dance floor to where you were standing and took you in his arms, “I can’t believe we’re finally married.”
“Road to forever?” You smiled up at him as you swayed to the music, “Or, maybe, road to all the lifetimes we’ll have in this floating ball of mass in space?”
Aaron laughed as he gently dipped you in the floor and pulled you back up to give you a kiss, “That sounds a lot better, Mrs. Hotchner.”
There wasn’t a single thing in the world that Aaron wouldn’t do for you. He’d give you the sun, moon, or even the stars if he could. But, the least he could do is love you with everything he has to offer because you made him believe that he deserved a second chance in love.

Loaded Teas & Introductions
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II x Black PlusSized Reader
A #supersizedfic mini. I heard this mashup on TikTok and fell in love. But the initial one shot is inspired by a comment I seen if hearing it and seeing the love of your life. So here’s the mashup and I hope you enjoy. Excuse any typos.
Tumblr media
Its this one thing that caught me slippin..
It’s this one thing, I want to admit it..
It’s this one thing and I was so wit it…
The soles of the regularly worn sneakers met the pavement in rhythm to the instrumental of the mix that played. Yahya smirked at the smooth blend of the two songs. Greeting the few people he passed, he made his way to his favorite spot for loaded teas. The headphones on his head made him feel as if he stood inside the song. The words floated around him as he moved his shoulders softly whilst nodding.
Pushing the glass door open, he was hit with a rush of cool air and the aroma of faint sweetness. Light bounced off the tiled floor to add to the brightness of the room. Soft tones danced on the walls and matched the relaxed decor of the establishment. He pushed back a headphone from his ear and softened his music. A smile graced his lips.
“Sup, Ya. How’s it going man?” The asian barista greeted him with a smile. His dark hair was pulled into a bun atop his head as he stood behind the counter. The soft blue uniform hugged his body comfortably, showing off his toned figure. Short sleeves hid the top of the colorful artwork that adorned his left arm. “The usual or would you like to try our new flavor?” He raised an arched brow for added affect.
“A new flavor?” Ya smirked. “You know I’m down for whatever magic you make, brother. Let’s w switch it up.” Xen smiled, clapping his hands together before getting to work.
Ya turned to lean against the counter as he waited for his order. Catching up with his old colleague like usual. He laughed at a joke that Xen said as he looked to the door that notified the entry of another customer. His eye caught her hips hugged by the sundress she wore. But when he caught that smile..
“Whoa..” He breathed the words just loud enough for Xen to hear. “She’s beautiful.”
“Who?” The barista raised an eyebrow and followed his line of sight. A smile caught his lips and he sat the finished drink on the counter. “Ohhh, beautiful she is. Why don’t I introduce you to her?” He lifted a hand to the smiling woman that had bent down to coo at the toddler of a customer close to the door.
Once she stood, her eyes found them both at the counter. She smiled bigger as she approached. Ya couldn’t help but return the expression. As she got closer, he noticed the light catch the glint from her septum ring. “Xen. How is the world treating you today, brother?” Her full lips were glossed and he took in every word she spoke.
“I’m doing amazing, actually. I got a workout in before my shift, I have a date tonight, and my good friend came to see me.” Xen gave a gentle tap to Yahya’s shoulder. “Yahya, meet Yana. She’s good friend of Samaria. She was a bridesmaid at our wedding.”
Yana held out a hand, meeting his eyes for the first time. Ya felt his heart skip a beat as he accepted her soft touch, losing himself in a trance. The song he was listening to earlier was hushed and on repeat. He felt like this was a scene in a movie. Her lips moved but he didn’t hear the words leaving them.
“It’s nice to meet you too, Yahya.” Her words finally broke through with a giggle. Ya snapped from his admiring with a nervous chuckle, rubbing his neck once he freed her hand. Mumbling a ‘Sorry’.
“Uh, you can just call me Ya. If you’d like?” He grinned, standing up straight. Xen coughed to cover his laugher, getting a quick side eye from Ya. Sending him off to fix her usual order with a smirk. Yana had amusement in her eyes as he nodded, repeating the nickname.
“Ok, Ya. I like that name. It rolls off the tongue..” She looked up at him through her lashes. “How long have you known Xen?”
“We were good friends in college. Shared an apartment together the last two years of college.” He explained. “He’s the reason I got through Calculus II.”
“He is a wizard with numbers.” She added in. Getting a theatrical bow from Xen. They all laughed as he placed her drink on the counter by Ya’s. She thanked him with an excited squeal as she paid. After declining Xen’s offer for it be on the house.  “I always look forward to my drink for the day.”
“Me too. I hate I can’t get over here more often.” Ya took a sip of his. Giving a hum of approval. “But i make sure to find time out the week to come over and visit.”
After a few minutes of conversation, the bell dinged to introduce a group of customers. Moving both Ya and Yana off to the side by themselves. She looked off for a moment and he got a glimpse of her close up. Her features were soft and he wondered if her skin felt as soft as he imagined. The scent of her perfume was soft and similar to strawberries. He loved it.
“Sorry, if I’m being to forward but..” He cleared his throat before straightening up. Mentally encouraging himself. “Would you allow me treat you to dinner sometime? Just a night of me proving myself to you.”

Joseph Quinn x f/Reader
Main Masterlist ♡ Joseph Quinn Masterlist ♡ Confessions Masterlist
Gifs & photos do not belong to me.
Just like all my other stories, this has not been proofread, but please enjoy.
Warning: none.
Also the photo is just to show the outfit, not what I am picturing the reader to look like. Please imagine your gorgeous self in one these dresses or even in a dress you may want to wear for this event.
Summary: It is finally the day, where Joseph Quinn will be marrying his long-time girlfriend YN.
Joseph Quinn's POV:
I was standing looking over the balcony of our venue. Not believing that this day has actually arrived.
After I proposed to YN, she flew back home and I continued to tour and making appearances.
Making sure to call her each and every day. It didn't matter what time it was back home, YN always answered the phone.
We started to talk about our wedding and when and where we wanted it to be. How long we should push it off for, with my schedule and the baby coming soon.
But when she went to look at our dream venue, they only had one spot available as the couple cancelled.
The date was only a month after I proposed and when YN called and told me, I said take it. We can make it work.
Which we did.
Tumblr media
Our families were a massive help with getting it all prepared as well as our friends. We have one friend who owns a flower shop and they prepared everything and YN's cousin is a chef who took care of the catering.
Two of our friends were wedding planners and they worked together to make us have our dream wedding.
The whole event is taking place at the Hintze Hall at the Natual History Museum in South Kensington. We made sure to book as many galleries so our guests could have a great time.
"You ready?" My Dad asked as he pulled me from my thoughts.
"More than ready." I said back to him with a smile. I have waited my whole life for this moment and I just know that my YN is going to look gorgeous, but then again she always does to me.
"I saw YN and she looks absolutely beautiful Joe. Your Mom can't stop crying over her and neither can hers."
As I walked to my spot at the end of the aisle, I noticed everyone who is there. Our friends that always told us that we would some day be together, but we just laughed them off.
Really trying to hide our feelings for one another at the time.
The friends we have both made over the years from our jobs, which for those friends I have made, I am shocked that so many were able to come.
When I saw Joe Keery standing there with his girlfriend, it stunned me as he wasn't sure he could make it.
But when I saw him, he smiled at me and we gave each other a hug. "Glad you could make it." I said to him.
"And miss out on this? You have to be kidding me Joey." He is now sitting in the third row with a massive smile on his face.
Jamie and Jess couldn't make it for today, but YN and I had a nice dinner with them the other night.
The music changed and we all looked down the aisle to watch as the first bridesmaid started to walk.
I was trying to keep my composer as best as possible, but I knew when I saw YN I would lose it.
Once the music changed and everyone stood up and turned to watch as the love of my life walked down the aisle towards me.
YN looked absolutely gorgeous and my brother actually slapped my back a few times so I would actually breath.
Tumblr media
I could feel the tears streaming down my face as she got closer and closer to me.
When her hand was placed in mine, I squeezed it three times and she squeezed back. Our special way that we say we love on another when we can not talk.
I felt like I was in my own world as I looked at YN. Whatever the minister was saying just sounded like white noise in my head.
"Now Joseph and YN have written their own vows."
YN's Maid of Honour handed her the vows as did my brother for me.
"Joey, since the day I met you, I knew you were special. You made me feel welcomed on my first day at a new school and made me feel like I belonged. From that day forward I became a true believer that you do not find true love, but true love finds you."
She took a deep breath and continued.
"You, more than anyone else, know my insecurities and weaknesses and still never make me feel inadequate. You have always loved me without reservations. You praise me in a way I never thought was possible and because of you, I am the best woman I can be."
I wiped away a few of her tears.
"I cannot promise I will always be the perfect wife, but I promise to love you through the good times and bad. To choose our love every single day. I promise to always fight with you and for you, never against you. I promise to always be your biggest fan, confidant and best friend. I promise to remember we are not perfect—only perfect for each other. I promise to love you without hesitation or boundaries from this day forward, for the rest of my life."
I could hear a few sniffles from our crowd.
"Everything in me recognizes your heart as my home and your arms, my shelter. I love you Joseph Quinn, forever and always."
I wanted to kiss her right then and there. I knew YN was nervous about her vows, but they were just perfect.
"My YN, we started our journey over 18 years ago and if you told me then that we'd be standing here today celebrating our wedding in front of all of these people here today, I honestly never would have believed it. It is truly a dream come true.
Over the years, we have built the foundation of a loving relationship that I know will stand up to the test of time. Together, we have embarked on amazing adventures and overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. Ultimately, we have gained the love and acceptance of all who matter most to us and the evidence surrounds us here today.
First and foremost, we both share the belief that our family is the most important thing in the world. I cannot wait to start our new family together and I promise to always put your needs and the needs of our family before my own or anyone else's.
You have always said to me that the worth of a person is determined by their kindness and the quality of their spirit. You have also shown me what unconditional love feels like. And so I promise to treat you with kindness throughout the rest of our lives together and to always love you unconditionally.
Lastly, I am so proud of how much you and I both have accomplished in our professional lives and careers over the past few years and I am certain that none of it could be possible without the invaluable support and encouragement we provide each other. As your life partner, I promise to support you in all of your personal and professional pursuits. I will always be your biggest fan cheering you on from the sidelines. I love you very much, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
I had to stop a few times to get it out. My tears blurred the ink on the paper.
"Do you Joseph take YN to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
"So you YN, take Joseph to be your lawfully wedded husband."
"I do."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
The words were barely out of his mouth and I was already kissing her. One hand cupping her cheek and the other one was resting on her stomach.
Our friends and family stood and clapped for us as we walked down the aisle. Now it is time for pictures.
~
The photos took a while, but we made sure our guests had plenty to do if they wished.
It was dark by the time we got to the reception and I peaked inside and my mouth almost dropped open at the sight that greeted me.
"What is it Joey?"
"Take a look YN." She peaked through the door and gasped.
"It is beautiful. They did such an amazing job."
Tumblr media
It was almost time for our big entrance. We are going to have our first dance and then eat.
We decided not to do speeches, but we will have a camera go around and people can speak then.
We can hear the DJ get ready to announce us. "I now present to you Mr and Mrs Joseph Quinn." And the doors were opened.
Everyone was whooping and hollering for us. Photos were being taken by everyone to catch this moment.
Our first dance as husband and wife.
I placed my hands on her waist and pulled her gently towards me, being ever mindful of her stomach. YN wrapped her arms around my neck and the music started.
The two of us became wrapped up in one another as our song played. The song that was playing in the background when I first told her I love her.
All I am, All I'll be
Everything in this world
All that I'll ever need
Is in your eyes
Shining at me
When you smile I can feel
All my passion unfolding
Your hand brushes mine
We were both humming to it but as it got to the chorus, I started to sing it.
"I do cherish you. For the rest of my life. You don't have to think twice. I will love you still. From the depths of my soul. It's beyond my control.I've waited so long to say this to you. If you're asking, do I love you this much?. I do"
"I love you Joey and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together."
"And I love you YN Quinn and I will show you every single day how much I love you."

Final part of Drunk Words, Sober Thoughts
A/N: Thank you to all of you that read this little mini series! I'm so glad and so incredibly grateful that you've enjoyed it. With that being said, I hope you enjoy this final part! 💕
“Oh, it will not be long love, till our wedding day...”
These are the lyrics that you wake to. Smiling, you sit up in bed and stretch. Today’s the day. Today is your wedding day.
A few moments later, Josh walks in with a cup of your favorite tea and a chocolate croissant in hand.
“Good morning love of mine.” He says, handing you your breakfast.
“Good morning sunshine. Love the Fairport Convention serenade by the way.” You say with a wink.
“I thought it was fitting and not as cheesy as ‘Going’ To The Chapel’, which was my second choice.” He smiles.
You chuckle and the two of you sit and enjoy each other’s presence until it’s time to get up and head over to the venue. Once the two of you arrived, you headed in separate directions. Him to his brothers, and you to the bridal suite.
You and your bridesmaids and bridesman chat and have a little champagne while you get your hair and makeup done. They all chose their own dresses and suits, all of them beautiful jewel tones in velvets, satins and other textures. They were all cohesive with one another and matching the groomsmen that would walk them down the aisle.
As they all got dressed in the lounge area of the suite, you went into your private room to finish getting ready. Sitting at the vanity, you put on your sunburst earrings and necklace. Touching your necklace you smile at the memory of Josh getting you the matching necklace to his own. You had always admired it and one day while he was on tour, a package came for you. Inside was the necklace and a note that said, “So I’m always with you, no matter where I am.”
As you slipped on your dress, you began to feel butterflies. You were so happy and so excited. It felt like this was a long time coming and now you’re finally here.
Stepping out of your room, all of your friends oohed and aahed. Everyone commented on how gorgeous you looked.
“Joshua is going to pass out. I can tell you right now, it’s going to happen.” Ronnie says.
Laughing you say, “Well, hopefully Jake will catch him and get him standing back up in time.”
Before you knew it, it was time to go. Walking through the venue, you couldn’t stop smiling. You had never been more ready or more sure in your life. This is exactly how it was supposed to be. You were marrying the love of your life and your very best of friends.
Suddenly you hear Baby I’m Yours by Cass Elliot begin to play outside. That was the cue. All of your bridesmaids and bridesman begin their walk out of the doors and down the aisle. As the words, “Baby, I’m yours ‘til the stars fall from sky…'' begin to play, you step out.
As soon as Josh sees you, everyone and everything melts away. He watches with tears and a smile as his vision in white makes her way to him. As you step up to him, your smile gets even bigger and you say, “Hey sunshine.”
As the ceremony begins, you turn to your maid of honor and she takes your bouquet. When you turn back to him, Josh takes both of your hands rubbing the back of them with his thumbs. The two of you lovingly stare at one another as the ceremony proceeds. The vows the two of you made were loving and tender. Each making the other cry.
The two of you each promised to nurture one another, help each other grow both together and within in themselves and to love one another...
“Until the end of time.”

au where chrissy is a runaway bride and eddie is a stranger who happens to be driving by (or riding by on his motorcycle idk) and gives her a ride out of town
God, I love it.
It's a massive, overdone, circus of a wedding. The whole relationship, from start to finish, has been a circus. Chrissy hasn't had any say in any of it. She didn't have a say in dating Jason, in getting engaged to Jason, or even in mundane things like choosing colors or flowers or china patterns. She doesn't know who's on the guest list, but she knows that it's more people than she knows, or who really know her. She didn't even get a say in her own dress. Chrissy is a footnote in the social even of the season, and she feels like Bride Barbie, stuffed into a tulle monstrosity that is more or less an itchy, overstated cupcake costume. The veil she didn't choose has a mind of it's own. The underwear she didn't choose pinch. The shoes she didn't choose hurt her feet. Her jewelry, her hair, her make-up... Everything is wrong. And everything is shadowed by Laura Cunningham's gloating self-satisfaction, as she makes every decision for Chrissy, and as she hovers on the fringes of everything like she's Chrissy's stage director. (Or maybe even her warden.) She knows that Chrissy doesn't want this, and she knows that Chrissy isn't happy, but she doesn't care; Laura thinks she knows better, and that's that.
The bridesmaids (in their pink, poufy, satin gowns and silly little hats) disappear one-by-one into the church ahead of her. She's looped arm-in-arm with her stout little dad, who's decked to the nines in a tailcoat like he's escorting Princess Diana to Prince Charles. He's humming to himself, indifferent as always, situationally blind. Can't he see that she's vibrating out of her skin? Can't he see that she's a pig that he's leading to slaughter? Hasn't he noticed, once, in her twenty-one years of life, that she's not been able to make a single decision for herself? He gives her a reassuring little pat on the hand, and she grimaces.
They step up to the doors, and the organ starts in on the Bridal chorus. The massive, faceless congregation stands at their cue, and turns to face them. Jason is at the front with the priest, but he's not looking at her in all her fabric-smothered glory; he's elbowing his best man and guffawing. Jason isn't ill-at-ease, and he's not here today because of love. This is just another check on his list. Next comes the sex, and then the babies, and... then what? Then what? Everyone is staring expectantly. Laura's eyes bore into her. Her father is trying to tug her forward, is whispering, "C'mon pumpkin, lets go!" But she can't. She can't!
"No," she says, and she sees her chance. Her only chance. Chrissy slips her arm out of the crook of her father's elbow. She drops her massive bouquet of roses to the floor. She gives her mother a fraught look, as if to say this is your fault, and then she turns, hikes up her dress skirts, and she runs. Chrissy bursts out through the lobby, crashes through the front doors and into the afternoon sunlight. She hops down the church steps two-at-a-time in her stupid, stupid shoes, and she sprints as fast as she can through the parking lot, toward the road. She hears the commotion behind her--her mother screaming her name, Jason yelling--and Chrissy tastes the scandal of it all; it makes her gleeful, makes her smile despite the tenuousness of her freedom. She barely looks both ways before continuing, tearing across the street and through a busy children's playground. Little faces stop and turn to look at her with confusion and awe. Chrissy keeps going and going and going, doesn't look back; she doesn't stop until she's three streets away, through a back alley, pressed against a brick wall behind a dumpster, gasping for breath. It's just her, a grizzled looking cat on a windowsill, the dumpster full of foul smelling garbage, and someone's old motorcycle. She puts a hand on her chest, against her beaded, sweetheart neckline and the swell of her breasts, trying to will her heartbeat to slow. She takes deep, deep breaths. She closes her eyes. She did it. She left. But. ...Now what?
Chrissy isn't sure how much time passes, but eventually the clang of a door swinging open and then shut again startles her back to reality. She opens her eyes and comes face-to-face with a very confused pair of brown eyes, peering at her from beneath a curly fringe of hair. His hair is longer than hers. He's wearing a leather jacket, and a denim vest, and it's covered in patches and pins and logos of bands (she assumes bands) that she's never heard of. His jeans are full of holes. He's got a helmet in his hands, and he's wearing motorcycle boots. "Uh. Hi?" he says. She gives him a panicked little wave. "Sorry," he continues. "I didn't mean to scare you, but. Uh. Well. I don't typically find many brides back here. Are. Are you okay?" And just like that, he's the first one to ask her.
Chrissy tells him the truth. Tells him who she is, that she didn't want to get married, so she ran; she's still running. They're going to try and find her and make her go back, and she doesn't want to. "Well. That's some bullshit," he says. "Do you have anyone you can call? Anywhere you can go?" The answers is, unequivocally, no. The man seems to mull this over for a bit, chews on his bottom lip with hesitation. Then, he hands her his helmet. "I'm, uh. I'm Eddie. And I have a couple of friends who might be able to help. Nancy. And Robin. If you want." She takes the helmet slowly. He shrugs, the very slightest of smiles playing at his lips. "And we can go by the church, if you want. It's on the way. If you really wanna drive the point home." And oh, does Chrissy ever.
It takes some work to get her situated behind him on the bike in all her finery, but they pull it off. The helmet squashes her hair, and she wraps her arms around his middle with only the slightest hesitation. He puts on a pair of aviators, and revs the bike up. When they drive off, the layers of Chrissy's dress and veil billow behind them. When they get there, the church parking lot is still full of people, her mother and Jason in the middle of all of the confusion. Someone spots her--she hears the yell--and then the beautiful, aghast sound of Laura Cunningham's shock carries over the combined din of the motorcycle and the wind. Chrissy can't help it: She cackles against Eddie's back, smile big and broad and elated. She has no idea where she's going, or what she's gonna do, but it doesn't matter. She could die happy right here and now. "Ha! Fuck them!" Eddie yells back at her, and Chrissy laughs again.
It's the start of something beautiful.
I mean. I pretty much wrote most of a fic there. 😅

He left like you were never a reason to stay.
Tumblr media
"Hey, just take deep breaths. You'll be fine." You encourage your brother as you help fix his tie for him.
"I'm getting married, Y/N. It's kind of hard not to be nervous right now." He runs his shaking hand through his hair.
"Listen Sawyer, Alice loves you and you love her. You two are going to spend the rest of your lives together and be happy with each other. All you need to think about today is the wonderful future you’re going to have together."
"I'll still be there for you. Whenever you need me. I wish mom and dad were here with us today." He pulls you into a tight hug.
"They would be thrilled about you marrying Alice. She is literally you but a female." His chest rumbles underneath your head.
"Mom and dad would be proud of you too. The places you are going with your career. I'm proud of you." Sawyer kisses the top of your head.
"Now you just need to find your special person and get married." He pulls away and looks down at you, laughing. You shake your head and roll your eyes.
"Hey," He tilts your chin up. "I'm just tired of seeing you alone."
"Sawyer, there's a difference between being alone and being lonely. I've chosen to be alone, not lonely."
"Just promise me that you will stop shutting people out and go out into the world and meet someone who loves you unconditionally."
"I'll see what I can do. Now, let's go and get you hitched." You both laugh and walk out of the room.
As you're standing in line with the rest of the bridesmaids you start to think about love. Your mom and dad were so in love with each other and you know they still are in another life. Your brother looks so happy with his new bride-to-be. All the friends you know have had multiple relationships, some already married with kids. It seems like everyone is finding love, except for you.
Tumblr media
There is a reason why you stopped searching and his name is Henry Cavill.
He was a friend of you brothers. Just a couple years older than yourself. The three of you would always hang out together as kids. Mostly the two of them picking on you and you running away crying until Henry would come find you later and apologize for the both of them. Over the years, Henry became more attractive but not just to you but other girls as well. But you never saw him with a girl under his arm. He was never the one to show off to people. Even though he was the most popular and good looking guy in school, he was kind to everyone. There wasn't one person who met him that wasn't affected in some way. He completely changed your life.
You remember vividly when he and your brother were seniors and about to graduate. You were a sophomore and going through an awkward stage in life where you were trying to figure out who you wanted to be while everyone else seemed like they already knew. Your brother was in the shower while Henry and you were relaxing in the living room. Don't get it wrong, you definitely had a crush on him. Pretty much everyone did, but you knew he would never feel the same way. You asked him what he planned to do after graduating and he told you he wanted to go back and visit England. He was born there, and his family lived there until he was about five before his dad got a promotion in Seattle. He always talked about moving back to England, but you never thought he would actually do it.
The day of Sawyer and Henry's graduation was one of the worst but best days of you life. After the ceremony, you all were taking pictures, you glanced at Henry and were overcome with something you couldn't explain back then but you know now that it was love. Every time he would smile and his eyes would crinkle and his dimples would pop out, you got tingles all over your body. When he hugged you goodbye, you got shivers and blinked away tears. You were scared because you'd never felt this way about someone before. You didn't know what that feeling was. You were confused but you knew everything was okay as long as you had Henry in your life.
After the graduation dinner, everyone rode along to take Henry to the airport. You sat in the back between your brother and Henry.  You just wanted to be close to Henry without it being obvious. There were a few times where you would stare for too long at him because he is the most beautiful human being in the world. He would look at you with the brightest smile. You would die every time. Everyone said their goodbyes to Henry. You being the last one. You always thought Henry saw you as his little sister because he was best friends with your brother, that's why you decided to keep the way you felt about him locked away. You remember the last words he said to you before he left.
"I'll see you soon Y/N. Don't forget me." You smiled at him through the tears.
You've never forgotten about him.
He is the reason why you've never been able to find someone because you've been in love with him this whole time. You've regretted not telling him the way you’ve felt for years now. Looking at your brother with the love of his life makes you realize how much you miss Henry. It's been five years since he left. You don't even know if he and your brother have kept contact with each other. Your brother never knew about your crush on Henry and you've never asked him if he knew anything about him now because you didn't want to seem curious. You just wish you knew what his life is like now.
You’re snapped back into reality once everyone starts cheering and clapping as your brother and his wife walk down the aisle and out the door. You make your way down the aisle with the rest of the bridal party smiling. When you’re almost out the door you look toward the back row and see the one man who has had your heart without even knowing it, except he has his arm wrapped around another girl. Your eyes meet his and you feel your whole world stop turning.
Tumblr media
"What are you thinking about?" You look up from the glass of champagne to find Sawyer standing next to you.
"Oh nothing. Just how happy I am for you." You insist, taking the last sip
"You sure? I figured it was because of Henry." He mentions and you almost choke on your drink.
"Why would that be a problem?" You turn to face him.
"Oh, come on Y/N. Don't think I couldn't tell that you liked him in high school." You close your eyes and feel your cheeks flush with embarrassment.
"Why didn't you ever say anything?"
"Honestly, I was waiting for him to say something to me or you, but it never happened."
"Well, he obviously didn't feel the same way since he left five years ago and never came back."
"Maybe he didn't want to get attached to you because he was leaving. Maybe it just wasn't the right time but maybe now it is." Sawyer suggests.
"No, it's definitely the wrong time because he came here with someone else."
"How about you just go talk to him. Catch up for a bit. You know you've missed him and I'm sure he feels the same." Sawyer pulls you into another hug.
"Now, go and have fun. This is my wedding!" He laughs and kisses the top of your head. You roll your eyes, giggling and turn back to the bar to order another drink.
It's been about an hour of you sitting alone at the bar. Watching everyone dancing and your brother and his wife looking so in love. You can't help but be jealous but so happy for them at the same time. You've always wanted someone to be by your side through everything. To make you happy when you’re sad and love you for who all that you are. You’re still pretty young, but you feel as if you've already missed out on a lot. Most people your age are either married and have kids or are in a relationship. You've never had a boyfriend and you know it's partially your own doing because you closed people off and never put yourself out there. When your parents died, it got worse. The only person you talked to was Sawyer. You didn't have friends at college. You mostly stayed in your dorm and never went out because you were depressed, and your anxiety worsened from shutting yourself out from the world. You were sure guys thought you were weird and awkward. The only time you would talk was if you were called on in class or you had to do group projects. You hate yourself for closing yourself off because you know you missed out on so much, but you can't take any of that back.
You finish what you think is the third glass of champagne and stand up. You look up and instantly are met with Henry's gorgeous eyes. Oh god. Shivers run through your body and your chest starts to tighten, almost like you want to cry. You've missed him so much and he looks so beautiful. He whispers something into the girl's ear he is sitting next to and gets up. He walks toward you, and you stop breathing. He stops a few feet in front of you.
"Hi Y/N." His voice is even heavier.
"Hi Henry." Your voice cracks as you clear your throat.
You both stand there staring at each other before he gets closer and wraps his arms around you. You instantly react and wrap yours around him. Oh, how you've missed this.
"God, I've missed you Y/N." He whispers. You feel the tears swell up in your eyes and you try to keep them in, but it's too late. They start falling and Henry wraps his arms tighter around you.
"I'm sorry." You choke on your words.
"No, there is absolutely nothing for you to be sorry about." He strokes the back of your head and kisses your forehead. You move away to look up at him.
"Why didn't you ever come back?" You wipe the tears from your face.
"A lot has happened, and it got harder to leave. I wanted to come back so bad, but I just couldn't."
"You couldn't even call?"
"I did. I called your brother all the time. I asked about you and how you were especially after your parents." He whispers. You take a deep breath and close your eyes to stop the fresh tears wanting to escape.
"He never told me that." You turn your head and look for Sawyer, spotting him dancing with his wife.
"I told him not to." Henry admits.
"Why?"
"I don't know, I guess I thought you wouldn't care to talk to me."
"Henry, seeing you leave was one of the hardest things for me."
"I didn't know that. I'm sorry." He steps back slightly and puts his hands in his pockets.
Your eyes glance over his face, studying him like you don’t recognize the man in front of you anymore. His hair is shorter than he had it in high school. He is taller and way more buff. He’s still the most gorgeous man you’ve ever seen. Henry takes a breath and is about to say something when he gets interrupted by his plus one..
"Henry, I think it's dying down, maybe we should head back to the hotel?" His head snaps toward her and she grabs his arm. Your eyes immediately focus on where she is touching him, feeling a crack in your heart.
"Yeah, let me just say bye to Sawyer." He tells her as she turns to look at you.
"Hi, I'm Emilee." She introduces with a smile.
"Y/N." You force a smile in return.
"How do you two know each other?"
"Sawyer is my brother."
"Oh, how nice! This was a beautiful wedding."
"It was nice meeting you Emilee." You can’t stand talking to her anymore. "Nice seeing you Henry." You smile and he leans in to give you a hug.
"Don't leave yet." He whispers. You look at him and he smiles softly. You walk away and over to your brother and Alice sitting at a table.
"Hey sis." Sawyer says. You sit down next to him and sigh.
"How did it go?" He questions you.
"Why didn't you ever tell that he asked about me?" You scold him.
"He told me not to." Sawyer defends.
"Well, if you knew that I liked him don't you think I would have liked to know he was actually asking about me?" You argue.
"Y/N, I'm sorry. I thought I was protecting you."
"No, it actually hurt me even more." You end the argument before getting up and walking out of the building.
You sit on a bench that is right outside the building and close your eyes, taking deep breaths. You can feel the anxiety rising and you hate this feeling. You sit there for a few minutes focusing on your breathing when you hear someone’s footsteps before they sit down beside you. You open your eyes to find a pair of familiar blue ones.
"Where's Emilee?"
"She went back to the hotel."
"Shouldn't you be with her?"
"I wanted to stay longer."
"Sawyer told me about the job you got. I'm really happy for you. You finally figured out what you wanted to do with your life." He teases and you can't help but smile.
"Yeah, I was honestly surprised when they asked me. It's my dream to work for a magazine"
"I can't wait to see your photos all over the world." He leans back against the bench, slinging his arm behind you.
"What about you? What did you end up choosing?" You ask him, leaning yourself against the bench too.
"I actually work as a personal trainer."
"Wow, that’s cool but what happened with the whole acting thing?”
"Acting is still a passion of mine but nothing has happened yet. I met a good friend of mine in college and he introduced me to the owner of a local gym out in London. He needed extra hands, so he gave me a job and now I kind of co-run the business with him.”
“I’m happy for you, Henry.” He looks over at you and smiles.
"What about you? What are your friends like?"
"I don't really have any." You can feel his gaze on you but avoid eye contact and stare down at your lap.
"What do you mean you don't have any friends?"
"It's just me. Well, Sawyer and Alice now." You explain to him.
His eyebrows furry and he takes his bottom lip between his fingers.
"But why?" Henry pushes.
"Well after you left, I got sad and slowly all my friends in high school just didn't want to be around me anymore because I was a downer all the time. I never wanted to go out anymore. I just wanted to be home. Once I got to college, all I did was go to class and then go to my dorm. People tried to be my friend, but I would eventually push them away or they just got tired of trying. It got worse once my parents died. I was a sophomore in college and I got really depressed. I had to move back home and live with Sawyer and Alice because I just couldn't function. My life was a mess. Still is a mess. I'm not depressed anymore, but my anxiety is still here. I've been alone for so long that it just doesn't bother me anymore. I've grown to love having my time, but it does get lonely. I wish I had a friend other than my brother to talk to. Even though I don't have much to say because my life is so boring. I've been through a lot in the past five years and I just wish you were there." You mumble the last part before looking up. Your eyes connect and he moves closer wrapping you tightly in his arms.
"I hate myself for leaving you alone. When Sawyer called me and told me about you parents I instantly thought of you. How bad I wish I was there to comfort you. I'm so sorry for never contacting you, It's just, Sawyer told me that you were barely even speaking to him." You wrap your arms around his torso and rest your head on his shoulder.
"Don't hate yourself. I could have contacted you if I wanted to, but I thought you wouldn't want to talk to me. You had a new life in London and I didn't want to disturb you."
"You would never disturb me. If I'm being honest, I would stare at my phone some night hoping you could call."
"When are you going back?" You ask, moving away slightly as your arms fall from him, but he keeps his around you.
"Not sure. I'm going to see my mom and dad for a bit.”
"That's good."
"When do you move to New York?" Henry questions you.
"Two months."
"Are you nervous?"
"I'm excited but my anxiety makes me nervous. But I know I'll be okay."
His phone starts to ring and he grabs it from his pocket, sighing before answering it.
"Yeah, yeah. I'll be there in a few. Ok. Yeah, Bye." He ends the call and stuffs it back into his pocket. He runs his hands through his hair.
"Girlfriend problems?" You ask, teasingly.
"She isn't my girlfriend." He sternly answered.
"Oh, I thought since-"
"She's just a friend. She wants more but I don't."
"How come?"
"I'm waiting for the right one." Henry glances at you before looking away. "Do you have a boyfriend?"
"No. I've never had one. I'm too broken and nobody wants to fix me."
"The right one will come along and heal all your wounds with their love and I hope that you will let him because you deserve everything good in this world and more."

for a prompt if you’re interested: maybe sick steve and eddie with the kink at some kind of event? steve trying his best not to sneeze and eddie trying his best not to lose it in public <3
Sorry this took so long to get out! I kind of forget to scroll down sometimes whoops. I hope you enjoy! :3 XXX
Steve runs out of his allergy pills on today of all days, the day that he’s going to be around a generous amount of flowers, and unable to really excuse himself for around half an hour. Eddie’s at least somewhat grateful when they walk into the church and see the first two rows are taken up by the party and their parents, allowing he and Steve to slip into a pew a little further back.
He’s not an idiot. He knows he’s about to be in a special kind of heaven-hell limbo. There are flowers everywhere; Nance and Joyce had kind of gone a little overboard, but he supposes that after all the shit they’ve all been through, Joyce deserves everything she wants on her big day. Turning to look at Steve, he catches the man right as he drags his knuckles against his nose.
Looking like a wet dream dressed in a black suit that’s maybe a little too tight but still amazing looking, Steve sniffles and gives Eddie a smile. The guitarist is in his own black suit, but he’s wearing a black button down where as Steve has on a white one. They compliment each other, in more ways than one.
Waiting feels like it takes a life time, but it’s really only a few minutes. Steve’s sniffles only become more frequent, and Eddie shifts, trying to think of anything but the man next to him. Jesus Christ this is going to be a long day.
“hehTSHHIEW! ahISSHew!”
“I’d bless you but I’m already in a church, so that might tip it over the edge, I might burst into flames,” he jokes, leaning over and getting close to Steve’s face.
Most people here already know Eddie enough to understand that he’s like this with everyone, always in peoples space, always touching or invading, so it doesn’t look out of the ordinary to anyone who doesn’t know they’re dating.
Steve sniffles and cracks a smile. This close, Eddie can see his nostrils twitch in allergic anticipation, can see just how obviously allergic he is as they twitch and flare over and over and over. Not two minutes into this thing and he can already feel himself getting slightly hard.
Steve manages it another three minutes, trying to hold back. Not that Eddie’s been timing it or anything. Swallowing as he notices Steve’s shoulders tense out of the corner of his eye, he tries to keep his eyes trained on Joyce walking down the aisle, almost to the end. Hopper is standing there teary eyed, a couple of old friends next to him, as well as Jonathan and Will. Joyce too has a few bridesmaids he’s never seen before, but El is standing up there as well. The whole party looks like something out of a magazine.
“HEH’SHIEW! ehIKSCHHOoOo!”
One person in front of them Eddie doesn’t recognize looks back at them and he narrows his eyes, smirking when they turn back around. Steve rubs his nose again and Eddie takes his clean bandana out of his pocket, holding it out to his boyfriend as the priest talks.
Steve takes is, squeezing his hands as it gets passed. When he presses it to his nose, the curly haired man feels something shift in him- his boyfriend has his cute, itchy, allergic nose pressed into his own bandana, and god, it’s so fucking hot. Feeling his pants tighten, he shifts more and tries to go back to paying attention, hoping he can get Steve away for a few minutes after this.

Parings: ChrisxMC
Tumblr media
Emily gets all her papers ready as she turns her head and hears the yelling outside Wonder what’s going on out there She shakes her head No that’s between Chris and his wife I shouldn’t interfere  Chris walks back into the room “Sorry about that Em”
“It’s fine sounded like a heated conversation”
Chris sighs “Yeah that’s what we seem to do a lot of”
“Oh sorry Chris I didn’t mean to”
Chris holds up a hand cutting her off “It’s fine it’s not a big secret around here that we’re having problems” Chris smiles then sits down in front of her “Now before we get down to business can we go somewhere afterwards maybe have lunch?”
Emily nods her head “Of course Chris we have many years of catching up”
Chris chuckles “Yes we’ll have years of catching up now how can you help me out with those wolves they call the press”
Emily laughs then she smiles “Look it’s simple Chris all you gotta to is tell them what they want to hear”
“Well that’s simple enough”
“You act up they’ll eat you alive you put on a smile and be perfect they’ll eat it up”
Chris nods “I get it now do I have any press conferences coming up?”
Emily looks at the schedule “Nothing today but you have a conference tomorrow”
“I’ll be there and I’ll let Becca know too” Chris stands “Now how about that lunch?”
Emily grins then stands “I’m glad I’m straving”
Chris and Emily head down to the nearest café and Chris orders them some coffee and some food. They take their seats “So Em tell me all about yourself”
“Well after college I went to England for a while got a writing job”

“I know Chris I wanted to contact you but I saw you living your life I thought you were happy”
“You shouldn’t believe everything you see Em”
“Yeah I know that now considering how unhappy you are in your marriage why did you marry her?”
To forget about you Chris shakes his head “I was in love with her that’s why” Forgive me for the lie I can’t tell her yet
“And now?”
Chris shrugs “I guess the marriage wasn’t meant to be” He shakes his head “But enough about me what about you any relationships”
Emily shakes her head “Not rally didn’t really have time to date while I was working a few guys and a few dates but nothing serious”
I’m glad no other guy should touch he Chris smiles “So do you staying here permanently?”
“Well you’re here so maybe Chris but don’t forget about the wedding”
“I haven’t forgotten I called Tyler last night he made swear that I’ll be a groomsman 15 times”
Emily laughs “Of course I’m gonna be a bridesmaid I’m gonna need a partner”
Chris blushes Oh man seeing her in the dress is gonna drive me wild He shakes his head getting rid of the thought “I’ll be glad to be your partner in the wedding Em”
Emily giggles “Good Chris” Her phone beeps “Oh I better get going now gotta go meet the guys bringing my furniture”
Chris stands “Oh of course Em I’ll see you tomorrow”
“See you Chris and don’t forget what I said!”
“I won’t!”
Chris waves as she walks away then he sighs and smiles “She’s so amazing”
****
Chris enters his home after a long day he sighs as he drops his briefcase on the couch.
“Oh Chris there you are!” Becca comes running into the room
“Becca what is it?”
“Glad you’re back and don’t get undressed daddy and a few people are waiting for us at dinner”
Chris groans “Another dinner? Why are you telling me now when I’ve spent a long day at the office let me rest”
“Chris we gotta go to the dinner these are important people how are they supposed to support you if we don’t go and meet them”
Chris sighs as he rolls his eyes and grabs his briefcase “Let’s get this over with” He walks out the door with Becca quickly following him reading the note cards in her hands
“Now this man is the top oil investor in”
Chris quickly grabs the note cards and reads them then he stuffs them in his pocket “I’ll read them later”
Becca huffs “Well excuse me for trying to help you out!”
Chris drives over to the restaurant then reads the note cards “Ok I think I’ve summarized them let’s do this”
“Chris you can’t afford to mess this up with their support”
“Yeah yeah have higher chance of getting reelected I know I know” Chris gets out the car as Becca follows
“Now if they ask about us”
“We’re all hunky dory and in love I got it”
Becca stops on her track and throws her hands up in frustration “I’m sorry Chris that I’m trying to help”
“If by help you mean babying me then sure I appreciate the help”
“Babying you?!” Becca stomps her foot
“Becca how long have I’ve been going to these meetings I think I know how to handle myself”
“Fine whatever just hope you don’t mess it up”
“When have I ever messed anything up? Are you calling me a screw up?”
“That’s not what I said Chris”
“It’s what you were implying see you inside” Chris walks inside the restaurant
Becca huffs “I can’t believe him

Have you ever seen someone in like, head-to-toe (shoulder-to-thigh?) spanx, but without the bra part? It’s like a BYOB (bra) situation? It’s not great.
Anyway, my best friend’s wedding is this Saturday in Chicago and we leave at 6am Thursday. I need 8 more days to be ready for the trip.
It’s been so long since I’ve written over here that I was excited to fill in the “Listening to:” field. That’s … never been a thing here. Livejournal. Twenty (20) years ago. It’s fine. You should listen to this song though.

I don’t care about no hoes, where is your spouse at?
Red text!
(Personally, I truly don’t care about no hoes nor spouses. In fact I’m very actively trying to become a spouse myself, for fuck’s sake.)
So I’m a bridesmaid in my best friend’s wedding this weekend and I love her but she did us all dirty with the color of these dresses. It’s like a smoky lavender - the kind that looks good on no one. We were able to choose our own style at least, but they are all relentless and unforgiving. I am wearing head-to-toe spanx (BYObra) and you can see like, the line of the contour? on the thigh? And it’s not because I have thick legs. I mean, it’s because the material of the dress is almost as though it was stuck to you, but it flows nicely in a breeze. I don’t know. I’ve also lost a bunch of weight since June (thanks, keto!) and that honestly helps me feel better about the dress. I took selfies tonight, even! Maybe I’ll post one.
This has been a hard week. Since Friday, I: organized and attended yet another suicide prevention training at work; unexpectedly found myself needing to support a dear coworker towards the end of that training class because he had been struggling with all the thoughts we’d been talking about for 2 hours and needed to step outside to cry and asked if I would join him (a senior general superintendent); attended a coworker’s wedding with another coworker, got drunk for the first time in a while and lost the latter coworker’s sunglasses before raising my voice at a third coworker who was getting mouthy with me; had what would have been the worst hangover of my life Sunday if it weren’t for Amazon’s party patches*; have been running around with my hair on fire at the office for both 10+ hour days I’ve had today and yesterday.
That whole thing was all about work. I’m working on that, but now’s not a good time for progress.
Seriously though, look up “party patches” on Amazon. Slap 2 of them on you (gonna do 3-4 for this weekend’s festivities, I have to be in proper shape for Nine Inch Nails at Riot Fest on Sunday #priorities) and while they won’t always stop a hangover from happening (I mean honestly how do you stop a speeding train, you know?), they will help you avoid an ambulance at least. Ask me how I know. Look for the blue and orange packages. They’re just vitamins, I don’t know what kind of witchcraft they’re about otherwise but they’re like $30 for I want to say 40-something patches? You really can’t put a price on magic.
(Ok here’s how I know: The last time I got that hungover, it was the morning after Matt and I got into a big argument about something stupid in public and I was crying at the table quietly but also pretty dramatically and the server had just approached with the check that I stubbornly insisted on paying. I could not pick my head up off the pillow the next morning and it took us 3 weeks to finally reach the end of the conversation because I was so embarrassed that I cried at a server as a 37-year-old woman for really the dumbest reason. I’m really fun to date. Fortunately he and I were genuinely fine those 3 weeks, we aren’t about grudges which has probably done a world of good for our 5-year run so far. But I was wearing 0 party patches that night. I currently have 2.7 packs for the bridal party and maybe the groomsmen if they’re acting right.)
Matt is standing up in the wedding too and we’re going to walk down the aisle together. I hope at least a couple people throw shoes at him. Gently, because he is a gem, but he needs a kick in the ass and he knows it.
Hope you and yours are loving your adventures lately. 🖤

What’s your favourite type of survey to take? A collection of random questions that’ll make me answer beyond a yes or no, but also not make me reflect and give an entire thesis of an answer. Questions like the last time I stepped foot in a bookstore or what my elementary school friends are up to now are usually enough to catch my interest.
What was the last topic you read about? The Columbia space shuttle disaster. I’ve only ever read about Challenger, so when I learned about Columbia from a Reddit post I ended up reading the Wiki page for it.
Have you ever made a diorama? I don’t think I have, even for school.
Do you prefer Windows or Mac? Mac.
What’s the best amusement park ride you’ve ever been on? Ooh, I hate rides haha. As a kid I was always the party pooper screaming for the attendant to stop operating the rides because I was dizzy or nauseous or scared or whatever, until I just accepted that theme parks just aren’t for me. Well, except for the food stalls.
Where are you right now? Describe the room or place. I’m in my bedroom which has been recently renovated, now housing my loft bed. The stairs to the bed double as shelves, where I meant to house my K-pop merch but ended up housing merely my BTS coffees (I bought way too many as a newer fan); the rest of the merch – albums, DVDs, photobooks, etc – are on the shelves on my TV stand. Underneath the bed is my work station and my makeshift mini couch which is really just a couple of foldable mattreses.
Have you ever participated in a fundraising campaign? Nothing on-ground, but yeah. Mostly donation campaigns spearheaded by local ARMY chapters, or for fundraisers to rescue stray dogs.
Do you know how to knit? Nah, never learned how to. I loved embroidery for a time, though.
What did you have for lunch today? Just French fries. Wasn’t too hungry.
Name some of your favourite sitcoms. Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Brooklyn Nine Nine.
Who is the 7th contact in your phone and how did you meet them? Bea; she’s always been my immediate superior at work. We started out as a manager-associate tandem; but promotions have happened over the years and we now work as director-manager.
Would you know how to read a house blueprint? I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actual one in real life. I probably wouldn’t.
What shirt do you wear the most? Idk if there’s one; I try to wear my clothes an equal amount.
Do you keep notes on your phone? What sort of things do you write? Minutes from work meetings, mostly. I also started a thing this year where every social media post from a BTS member requires me to save a particular amount of money hahaha, so I use my Notes app to track the daily posts then transfer them to a spreadsheet where it does the calculation for me.
Have you ever used Duolingo to learn another language? I used it to learn Spanish during the peak of the pandemic. I got pretty far, but found the tenses too difficult and stopped from there.
What was the last video game you played? Does In the Seom count? Let’s.
Do you remember much from high school? Not really. Back in college I did a major oopsie and accidentally permanently deleted my entire camera roll, so I’ve virtually no photo/video record from 2014-2017 – the biggest factor in my not-remembering-much-from-high-school. Then there is also the fact that all 4 years were spent with my ex as my best friend, and my mind has done a fantastic job wiping out those memories as well, so.
What’s your favourite fruit to snack on? Oof, don’t like fruits.
Has anyone ever come out to you? Sure.
Have you ever been part of a bridal or groom’s party? Just as a flower girl and as a ‘junior bridesmaid,’ which was a unique concept my mom’s best friend had at her own wedding.
Are there any rooms in your house that don’t have windows? Nah, every single room has at least one.
What’s your go-to order from KFC? Either a Zinger or their Twister. I never actually get fried chicken come to think of it, whether from KFC or other restaurants – eating them properly is too much work what with having to separate the bones and all haha.
What was the last album you listened to in full? Flowers for Vases by Hayley Williams in what is probably the first time in two years that I finished the album all the way through. I’m three songs into mono. now and will be jumping into Indigo right after, too.
Would you prefer cupcakes or a big cake for your birthday? Cupcakes. I don’t like cake and if I were to get one it’s largely to feed everyone else.
What emotion is strongest for you at the moment? Poignant. I hate Sundays.
Do you have Disney+? Yep. Have you ever sent a package or letter to a foreign country? I haven’t done that.
How many jobs do you have on your resume? Just my current one so far.
Do you use pepper to season your food? No.
When was the last time you had a headache? Thursday. It was my own fault, using my laptop while in a car. I felt like vomiting within five minutes.
––
Have you ever thought of a relationship as more of a job than love?  No, everything I did through the highs and lows were out of love. It never felt like a chore or obligation at any point.
Have you ever been caught right in the middle of a rain storm outside?  Yes, a few times. I also never carry an umbrella so this has most definitely happened to me more than it has with other people haha.
Have you got any cousins with interesting or embarrassing names?  My closest cousin’s second and third names are both movie references, which I find very cool. I can’t remember where he said his second name came from, but his third is from Schindler’s List.
What is one food you could eat for a month, straight, and not get sick of? I’m confident about answering sushi for this. I’m constantly looking for it, lol.
When was the last time you watched a complete hour of the news?  When my dad is home we always watch the evening news all the way through, over dinner. That said the last time we did this was early January.
Have you ever spray painted something about your love somewhere? No.
When was the last time you visited the park? Who did you go with?  We don’t have parks around here...
Are you one of those people who like to eat at restaurants a lot? I do like dining in at restaurants especially if with company, but since everyone I know is constantly busy or has plans, I don’t get to do it as much as I’d want to. I just make up for it and make sure I get to regularly try new food (a personal goal) by getting food delivery.
Have you ever been out on the ocean in a rather small boat?  Yeah. I can’t remember which province it was, but we were headed to a city you can only get to by boat, hence the boat ride. I was fine, but can’t say the same for a number of people there who didn’t fare as well.
When was the last time you went swimming? Who did you go with, if anyone?  Last December. I was with my family on a weekend beach trip to Zambales.
Do you like going to the beach, or do you not really care to go?  I love the beach and used to enjoy solely the actual concept of beaches; but now that I’m older I feel like I now enjoy the culture of the general vicinity more so than the beach. Like I prefer going to places with a little bit of nightlife in it; I wouldn’t enjoy as much if I was at a remote resort with a private beach, with nothing happening.
What are your parents’ names? Are you named after either of them?  I’m not sharing those, but I can confirm that I’m not named after my parents.
What was the last thing you bought at a store? When did you buy this?  On the day of Seonho’s fanmeet I rushed to a hardware store to get batteries for the lightstick I meant to buy at the merch stand. Unfortunately when I got to the arena, they were all out of lightsticks hahaha; in the end I got to use the batteries for my BTS lightstick instead when I went to the cinema screening of Yet to Come Busan.
What is one odd thing about the opposite sex you find to be attractive?  I wouldn’t say it’s odd, just something not really embraced by a lot of guys – being confident, comfortable, and content in their masculinity. I admire dudes who can be loud and fangirly about K-pop, or be able not to bitch about a little bit of makeup put on them.
What noises in the room you’re in, do you hear at the moment?  Don’t judge me but I’m literally listening to RM, Paul Blanco, and Mahalia’s Closer AGAIN. I’m OBSESSED with this song, fuck. I take 5x as much time as it takes to go through one round of Indigo just because I repeat this song way too goddamn much.
Do you know a lot of things about the opposite sex’s body parts?  Not as much as I’d like, admittedly. I haven’t had any experience with guys and everything I know is just from science textbooks and educational YouTube videos here and there.
What color is the kitchen in the house you’re in, painted?  It’s white with some brown accents at the bottom.
Do you live in a town where basically everyone knows everyone else?  Nah, that kind of stuff only happens in the province.
When was the last time you or someone else in your family bought a vehicle?  My dad got our Vitara in like 2018, but he sold it in 2020 because we couldn’t keep paying for it during the pandemic.
Are your grandparents the kind who are very protective of you? I don’t doubt they care about me, but protective isn’t a word I’d use to describe their grandparenting style. < Super true. I know they’d come to my defense and feed me and do grandparent-y stuff, but they don’t hover.
Have you ever, or do you live on a farm at this moment in time?  I’ve never lived on a farm.
Are you one of those people who can’t help but download everything they find?  Not at all. Owning a secondhand laptop riddled with viruses made me know better for when I started owning my own laptop; the only thing you’ll find in my files are screenshots, haha. My phone is *sort of* a different story though – I obsessively download photos, videos, TikToks of anything BTS. My camera roll is at 32k at present.
How many things in the past have you bought off Ebay? What things?  I’ve never used eBay, so zero.
Are you or the people you live with pack rats? Or are they tidy?  We keep a tidy home.
What are three things to you that are really worth the wait in life?  Weathering through your darker periods in life to attain happiness in the end; ignoring leaked movies/albums and waiting for their actual release date; and on a more personal level, having to spend the next two years waiting for BTS to come out of their hiatus. 2025 is gonna be a (tearful) RIOT (and reunion).
Is there any sound everyone else finds weird, yet you find nice?  ASMR chewing sounds. Nearly everyone I know hates the eating ASMRs whereas it’s really the only kind I find worth watching til the end ha.
Were you always one of those kids who got in trouble with everyone around?  Not at all; it was the opposite. I was really shy as a kid and barely made a move. I liked to be invisible.
When was the last time you took a nap? Did it relax you any?  Yeah, I took a siesta this afternoon. I slept at 4 AM the night before so it was very relaxing, but waking up was shit because I woke up with my entire back sweating.
Honestly, do you see yourself as a slut?  Nope.
Is there a secret you’ve never told your parents?  A number of them. I dunno if I envy those who share everything with their parents; I can never imagine being such an open book to my own.
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever been through?  The stupid breakup that nearly killed me.
Have you ever had your heartbroken? Yes.
Do you think Enrique Iglesias is sexy? I’m not actually familiar with how he looks like.
Can you text quickly?  Yeah. A fast-paced job helps you with that.
Do you like fast food or does it disgust you?  Depends on the restaurant. I’ve never seen a clean KFC or Chowking branch, but I’ll happily order at a McDonald’s.
Which singer’s vocals would you love to steal?  Cho Youjeen.
What’s your favourite shop?  I don’t have one. I don’t shop much.
Have you got a hairdresser that you can trust? Yep.
Are you a deep or light sleeper? I’m sort of a weird case because I can be on both ends of the spectrum. I can sleep through a relatively intense earthquake or noisy conversations, but like if I have to wake up early I can also automatically wake up like 10 minutes before my alarm rings, without fail.
Do you wear a lot of make up? Nope. If I do it’s very light and I keep it to the basics. Just foundation, concealer on my acne scars, and the lightest hint of blush and eyeshadow that no one is probably ever able to make out.
Do you get nervous before exams? Yeah, it was a constant feeling I went through for every exam, whether if I knew I was prepared for the test or was just planning to wing it.
Does the weather influence your mood? I can be impatient and not the happiest camper if it’s very sunny and hot out.
Who was the last person you kissed? My last partner.
What’s your favourite alcoholic drink? Peach soju. For cocktails, Long Island Iced Tea.
Do you watch Big Brother? No, I never understood the hype.
Do you like the smell of BBQs? Sure.
Do you crash on people’s sofas often? Never done it.
Have you left school or not? I did, three years ago.
Can you keep a secret? Sure.
Have you ever been trapped in a fire? Fortunately not.
Do wasps scare you? Yep. Anything that flies because you never know whether they’ll fly the fuck away or zoom straight to your face.
Have you ever had to spend the night at a hospital?  Yes once, when I had a really low platelet count. I was admitted the same time as my sister, for which I really felt for my mom as she was understandably deathly worried at the time and ended up losing weight over those two days.
Are you currently trying to get over someone?  Nope.
Have you ever dated someone with longer hair than yours?  Yes.
Have you ever bought clothing online?  A few times, yes.
Have you ever worn flip flops in the snow?   I have never experienced snow.
Do you wear Roxy, Billabong, or Volcom?  Nope.
How old were you when you met your first love?  I knew them since I was 4 but we didn’t become friends until we were 13. Started dating at 16.
Are you big on partying? I’m not big on the culture, i.e. I have to be at a bar/club every Friday, but I’m definitely always down if my friends plan something or if I get an invite.
In December, were you single or taken?  Single.
What is the last thing a boy gave you?  Will a dude handing me a parking ticket count? LOL Are you listening to music right now?  Nah, I’ve just finished Indigo and plan on finishing the rest of this survey in silence.
Last time you saw fireworks? With who?  Right after our New Year’s Eve mass when our church had a quick fireworks show. I was with my family.
Anything hurting?  Shoulders. I think I’ve been having shit postures in bed recently as I’m always waking up in utterrrrrrrr pain.
Were you happy when you woke up today?  Not really. More dazed and disoriented as I had stayed up til 4 AM reading fanfic haha.
What mood are you in right now?  There’s a bit of paranoia and anxiety creeping in as it’s a Sunday evening and I have to work again tomorrow...but I’m trying to push it aside and remind myself that I can choose to enjoy what’s left of my free time instead.
Are you mad at anyone right now?  Nah, no reason to be.
What are you currently hearing right now?  The quiet hum from my (now bladeless!!!) electric fan.
Are you confused?  No.
How much clothes do you have in your closet? Enough, but like 70% of them I don’t even wear anymore so technically I don’t have a big enough selection. I try to get new clothes at least once a month so that I get to build on what’s my current style these days.
Are you good at hiding your emotions?  My face reveals everything, so no. It can be both a good and bad thing.
Who is the last person you talked to on the phone?  Hans. We were gonna meet up for dinner at our favorite Korean place and he just called to ask me where I was and what my ETA was.
Do you regret anything from your past?  Things here and there, yep.
Last argument?  I can’t remember. I don’t like getting into arguments.
Favorite month(s)?  April.
Have you ever regretted letting someone go? For a time after it happened, yeah. With the clarity that comes from years’ distance from the emotional fallout, definitely not. < Same.
Have you ever broken someone’s heart?  Probably.
Did you speak to your father today?  Nope.
How many months until your birthday?  Two.
Who was the last person to compliment you?  I’m not sure. Maybe Celeste after I presented a pitch? She said something along the lines of “crushed it!” a few days ago.
Do you often use the term “slut”?  No.
Do you regret anything you’ve done in the past 24 hours?  I don’t think so, no.
Would you ever have a threesome with your friend and their bf/gf?  Not interested.
Who would you really like to become better friends with?  Lea. We got to spend time together last Wednesday when we watched Yet to Come, and she’s a really great person to be around! We talked for like 5 hours straight and even then it wasn’t enough. I’m glad we were able to reconnect.
Could you go the rest of your life without smoking a cigarette?  Easily.
Do you personally know anybody who has more than five tattoos? Yes.
Name something you dislike about the day you’re having? IT’S SUNDAY.
Do you believe there’s always room in your heart for your first love?  If that room is resentment, then yes.
Have you ever worn the opposite sex’s underwear?  Nope.
Have you ever kissed in a pool?  I think?
Have you ever lied to protect someone’s feelings? Sure.

Can you write something about when Harry and Y/N broke up but fans speculate that they got back together and they did get back together. They broke over something stupid, please. You don’t have to do this exactly it can be something like that.
let’s see how this turns out! hope it’s what you wished for?!
The last few months had been rough.
What had started as rumours of a breakup between everyones favourite couple, you and Harry, had turned into an actual breakup.
It had started by Harry spending more time with Olivia, due to press for Don’t Worry Darling. They were always hanging out with each other, even when there was no publicity stunt telling them to. You found it appropriate at first, wanting the movie to gain some form of reputation, but after a while you believed it turned South. It was becoming a definite friendship and not just because they had to. It was the way that Harry would bring Olivia over for dinner without checking with you first, or taking the dog for a walk with her not you, or even staying longer out on stunts than they needed to just because they wanted to.
So you challenged Harry on it. Hell, even the tabloids were challenging you both - claiming Harry had split from you for Olivia. You made him question whether he thought his actions were irresponsible and appropriate or not, to which he thought there was nothing wrong and thought you were being irrational. You didn’t speak to him for the rest of the day, only to find him later on the phone speaking to Olivia about how crazy you’d been acting about it all. So you showed him crazy and walked out.
Until today.
For over a half a year your sister had her wedding planned and Harry was supposed to be your guest. You were nervous about turning up without him, because your family were very judgy. Your sister couldnt help being the smarter and the prettier one, but she also didn’t have to parade it around so everyone knew of it. Your mum and dad thought you a disappointment for the longest time, but once you’d gotten a job and had moved out they were a bit more loving over you. Still didn’t hide the fact they desperately hoped for you to have a relationship. It wasn’t that you were bringing Harry along to prove that someone loved you, but more to prove that they would never fully be satisfied whether you had a boyfriend or not. There would always be a podium stand slightly lower for you to stand on.
However, they didn’t know about the breakup.
“Y/N, nice to see you. Where’s Harry?” Another guest asked you, relatives of your mum. It was the same question over and over again, no one really caring about how you are but instead whether you’re in a positive relationship.
“Oh um I think he’s just running a bit late.” Was your chosen answer to respond to said question. It was repetitive, but it kept people off your back.
The wedding was completely beautiful. It was in a beautiful church and was decorated to perfection. The theme was white and royal blue, something your sister had always dreamed of. Children played amongst the pews and family relatives mumbled to each other about gossip. There was still a heavy sadness to the event. Maybe it was because your sister hadn’t asked you to be a bridesmaid - instead, choosing her best friends instead - or maybe it was because you missed Harry so much.
He’d fucked up. He really had, but it didn’t take away that burning passion for him that spread like a wildfire in your belly. You missed him. You still loved him. Worst of all, you had to pretend everything was all alright in front of your family when actually you were breaking apart inside.
Harry hadn’t messaged saying that he was or wasn’t coming, but after everything that had happened you were confident he was going to be a no show, and you would be the embarrassment of the family once again. Your relationship had been very private and exclusive, but Harry’s fans were so investigative you wouldn’t be surprised if they knew that you’d broken up and were aware that you were at a wedding today without him. Neither of you had made a public statement about your breakup, but neither of your wanted to damage each other even more. Fans suspected though and rumours travel fast.
“Y/N how are you doing? How’s Harry?” Another aunt came and asked you, this time with your mother in tow.
“Oh he’s great, yes.” You smiled forcefully, not actually having a clue how your ex-boyfriend was doing. You didn’t keep up with his social media because you were afraid of what you might find.
“Where is he? Is he here?” Your aunt asked.
“He’s late, apparently.” Your mother answered for you, sneeringly. “You’ll be made a fool of if he’s a no show Y/N.”
“I know.”
“I hope everything goes well for you both.” Your aunt kindly said, before waiting for your mum to say something nice too. That was a mistake though.
“Well it’s unlikely she’ll find someone again!” Your mother laughed and pulled your aunt away from you. You furrowed your eyebrows and let your heart sink low.
What were you thinking, letting Harry go like that? Your mum was right, you were never going to find anyone else again. You were so lucky with Harry. He was so kind and so patient with you, but obviously he’d run out of steam towards the end. It doesn’t surprise you. You’ve always been told you’re a mighty handful and you need a lot of work put into looking after you, so you understand why you were probably too much for Harry. The showbiz life had never really been something you’d completely submerged yourself into, whereas you guess for Olivia it was rooted in her from birth. She understood Harry’s world the same way he did hers. They would match perfectly for each other, if that’s what they wanted.
You watched the room continue as usual, but you couldn’t keep yourself here. There was too much sadness welling deep within you that you wanted to just run and then keep running. So you did, only to get as far as the bench in the front courtyard. The outside felt calmer and more freeing than inside, you sat and absorbed it for a while, not realising that you were crying until your pretty multicoloured dress had grown darker with a pool of your tears.
“Shit.” You tried rubbing the tears out, but only made you cry a little harder. You thought about your makeup running and tried to compose yourself, fanning your face to calm it down from the heat now.
“And here I was thinking weddings were supposed to be happy.”
You stopped fanning your face to look at him. You couldn’t believe he was standing there, dressed in a beautiful white suit and salmon pink shirt underneath to compliment the colours of your dress - the outfit that you’d helped him pick out over a year ago. He’d remembered. He trusted that you’d still be wearing this dress. He was a sight alright. A vision of beauty and love.
“Harry?” You questioned, wiping your under eyes to clear away any running mascara, not quite believing he was standing there.
“So what was it? Bad music playing? No vodka? Or maybe there’s nowhere for you to escape to go read the book I know you have stuffed away in your clutch bag.” He stood at a distance from you, hands in his trouser pockets, to make sure you were comfortable.
“I brought vodka instead of the book.” You chuckled, reaching into your clutch to prove it to him.
“Lucky for you, i’ve come to save the day.” Harry reached to the inside of his blazer pocket and pulled out a Kindle. You’d always been debating whether or not to buy one, because the feeling of having a book to turn its’ physical pages is a feeling second to none. “Take it, it’s yours.”
Harry handed it out to you and you stood up to reach for it hesitantly. Harry assured you that it was okay and that you’d been reading too many books if you thought it was a trap of some sort.
“Thank you, Harry.” You spoke sincerely. You stroked your thumb over the cover and turned the case lid over to start up the screen. The screen lit up and it was set to a picture of your favourite quote, annotated just as you would have in your own book. You chuckled and let a few tears drop from the kindness of all of this.
“And then…” Harry unlocked the Kindle with your birthday as the password, before clicking on the library so you could discover what was waiting for you on your virtual shelves. Harry had downloaded all your most favourite books, whilst also downloading the ones he knew had been on your to-be-read list. He’d even added a few of his favourite books too, just because you liked reading his recommendations.
You smiled, but felt so lost.
“W-why are you here, H?” You asked, closing the lid and bravely looking up into his enchanting eyes. You had to control yourself not to comment on how wondrous they looked.
“To save the day.” He chuckled in repeat, until he knew you weren’t taking that for an answer. “Because I fucked up. Big league time.”
“Yeah.” You whispered, looking down at your shoes to see that they weren’t that far apart at all. He was so close to you, yet he wasn’t yours to catch.
“And i’ll never forgive myself for letting you walk out of that door. The promotion shit with Olivia? Done. I’ve finished. I explained that the movie isn’t as important to me as you. You,” Harry paused to breathe out, and took the risk of guiding your jaw up to meet your gaze with his soft hand, “you are real Y/N. You’re so important and key to my life and it bloody terrified me, still does actually, to think that you make me feel this way. I want everything with you. Marriage, kids, a home. A life. I was so worried I would screw it all up, though, to the point where I did screw it all up. I lost you and so I lost me. It’s selfish of me to ask whether any part of your heart still wants me, but—”
“Yes.” You quickly interjected before he could say something he’d later regret. “There is, yes.”
“R-really?” He stumbled over his response, not expecting you to react so soon but his words had got to you. His feelings were vulnerable and raw and it reminded you of how much you love him and feel safe with him.
“Why? Would you like me to say different.” You teased.
“No,” Harry rushed, stepping closer towards you, “God now. Stay, please. Forever, if you’ll have me?”
“I can deal with forever.” You leaned up to where his lips were, craving the taste of them against yours so badly. “Can I?” You looked between his lips and his eyes, watching his eyes coo in admiration of you. His arms snaked around your neck and cupped the back of your head, resting his ringed fingers against your skin delicately.
“You don’t have to ask, angel.” And with that you didn’t hesitate to reclaim your clips on his. He tasted as sweet and as soft as you could remember. The hint of mint sweets he kept in his car could be tasted all over his mouth, and he could no doubt taste the vodka on yours. He took no time in rushing to have his tongue exploring your mouth once mouth, biting on your lip when he got the chance to. He wanted you to remember this moment and how much love he has for you, and always will. Just as you do for him.
Hesitantly pulling away you smiled at him cheekily, feeling so much lighter and happier to have him here. With you in his arms so expertly.
“What?” He asked, leaving a quick kiss to your nose, inhaling his scent as he did.
“Just can’t believe you’re here.” You stroked his cheek with your thumb, and he leaned into your touch so comfortably. He had missed you so damn much, and it showed.
“Let you down once before and I wasn’t going to do it again.”
“So you’d have shown up even if I hadn’t?”
“Not happily, but yes.” He laughed thinking about it.
“Why?” You laughed with him.
“I’ve got to make my impression on your family somehow. Need to remind some of them how amazing and beautiful their special Y/N L/N is.”
“Some are going to need a lot more persuading than others.” You sighed, side-frowning over your words.
“No offence, but anyone who doesn’t treat you as a fucking diamond doesn’t deserve you and should watch out for kick up their backside from me.” You laughed over his empty threat and buried your head against his chest, listening to the heartbeat and rumble of laughter that came from within. This moment alone felt like home. Safe and warm.
“I love you, H.”
“Bloody love you too.”
Harry ended up returning to the wedding with you, much to your mothers surprise, and you both enjoyed the celebrations together. You shut yourselves out from everybody and just danced, talked and drank the night away.
You were so in love.
Later, photos got leaked of the wedding and it showed you and Harry dancing away in one of the backgrounds of the photos. It was supposed to be a shot of just the bride and groom, but you two have managed to get caught in it. You looked so caught up in each other that you still weren’t even aware the photo had been taken. You and Harry had determinedly avoided the camera all night, exactly for this reason, but a part of you was kind of happy that this one photo got leaked, because it showed the world that Harry was yours and you were his. It showed that you were together, or back-together as addressed by some FBI fans, and that you were stronger for it.

futures - steve harrington x reader
Tumblr media
Y/N’s older sister is getting married, and Y/N’s mom just won’t stop asking her when it’s her turn. Thankfully, she has her best friend Steve Harrington right beside her...who Y/N just so happens to be head over heels in love with. And she’s wearing a dress that makes her look like a giant pink marshmallow. No big deal, right?
Note: Me, writing ANOTHER fic featuring a sister’s wedding and a guy who’s in Stranger Things? But this time, it’s the actual Stranger Things character? Shocking. Anyways, I saw Free Guy a few weeks ago, and it reignited my love for Joe Keery, which then reignited my love for Steve Harrington...so this oneshot was born! Pairing: Steve Harrington x Female!Reader Warnings: A few tiny mentions of alcohol.
Y/N Y/L/N stands on the church’s steps, waiting for her best friend Steve Harrington to appear with her bouquet. No, she’s not getting married. Not for a long time anyway. The bride to be is actually her older sister Nicole, and she’s one of her bridesmaids. Unfortunately, she’s left her bouquet in Steve’s car, meaning he has to speed to the venue to drop it off. At least he’s her plus one. But of course, Steve is late once again. If she misses her walk down the aisle, she’s convinced her, her mother and her sister will tell Hopper to put a warrant out for his arrest. Thankfully, Steve’s BMW pulls into the parking lot a few seconds later, and she jumps down the stairs as Steve gets out of his car, running his hands through his trademark quiff.
“Steve! You’re late! I need to walk down the aisle in like five minutes!” She hisses, speed walking over to his car. “Where the hell have you been?!”
“I’m sorry, okay?! My dad had to help me tie this stupid tie, and then my mom wanted to take like a million photos. You know how she is.” Steve says, and sighing, Y/N nods. Steve’s mom is a lot. She’s barely around her son, but when she is, she doesn’t want to let him go. “But I’m here, and I brought your flowers.” He says, opening the trunk of his BMW.
“Thank you, you’re a-” Y/N begins, but something else in the trunk catches her eye. “Steve Harrington, tell me you did NOT bring your bat studded with nails to my big sister’s wedding.”
“...Okay, I won’t.” Y/N raises her eyebrow, and he rolls his eyes. “Hey! I get it, I do, but monster hunting is a serious business Y/N! It never sleeps, so ya gotta be prepared. And besides, this thing-” He points at the bat. “-saved your life! Remember?!”
“My leg Steve. It saved my leg.” She corrects him, ignoring his comments about how the leg is still an essential part of the body, and how it’s thanks to him that she still has her right one. “...Anyway, you think these monsters are going to attack the church and reception? Seriously?”
“...I-I don’t know! Maybe! At least I’m prepared, just in case.” He exclaims, holding up his hands. Y/N rolls her eyes and grabs the flowers, walking back towards the church steps. “By the way...you uh, you look really pretty today Y/N. I like your makeup.” Steve calls over, and she stops in her tracks, a smile replacing her eye roll. She knows part of her can’t stay mad at Steve, even if he is a total idiot. He’s just too cute to stay mad at for too long. But she’d rather die than admit that to him. And besides, she’d be lying if part of her didn’t like being called cute, especially by someone like Steve Harrington.
King Steve, who only two years ago ruled the school and barely looked in her direction, was now her best friend in the whole world and the plus one at her sister’s wedding. It’s funny how life turns out. After all, like Steve said, the only reason why she and Steve became friends was because he saved her from being attacked by a demodog by wielding the very same bat he brought to the wedding. Even though he was sometimes a complete idiot...okay, he was a complete idiot most of the time, she was glad to have Steve and his protection there. It made her feel safe, feel comfortable. Of course, she would never tell him that either. She hears footsteps behind her, and Steve soon appears at her side. “Or we could just use the bat against your weird drunk relatives.” He murmurs under his breath as the pair enter the church, and she giggles. Part of this still feels weird. Weird to have Steve Harrington of all people next to her, dressed in a tuxedo of all things. Have him socialising with her family. Part of her wonders if she’s dreaming. If she pinches herself, she’ll wake up and go back to being a nobody. Just as she’s about to try it out, she glances over at Steve. His brown eyes are wide with wonder as he takes in the ornately decorated church with flowers and banners everywhere, the efforts of her, her mother, her sister and the rest of the bridal party. Once again, she can’t help a smile from forming on her face. Or maybe she can keep the dream going a little bit longer. But before she can do anything else, one of her fellow bridesmaids runs up to her, grabbing her arm.
“There you are! We’ve been looking for you everywhere! It’s almost time for us to start!” She gasps, pulling her towards the back of the church. Y/N glances back at Steve, giving him a small wave.
“Bye, Y/N. See you on the other side!” He calls. And once again, Y/N cannot stop a big smile from spreading onto her face.
*~*~*~*~*
A few hours later, after the vows have been said and Y/N’s big sister is officially a Mrs, Steve and Y/N stand around at the reception, drinking Coke that they wish was laced with vodka. Steve already tried to bribe one of her distant aunts to get them some, but it didn’t work. Y/N looks over to where her sister is standing, gazing up at her new husband with pure love and adoration. Her chest feels all warm. Maybe one day, she’ll get to experience something like this. Marrying someone she loves, with all her friends and family around.
“She looks great, right? Like Princess Diana.” She sighs happily. Nicole was glowing, both inside and out. Steve nods.
“Yeah, yeah, she does...if Princess Di was wearing a giant marshmallow, that is.” Y/N snorts, trying to hide her laughter so her family doesn’t hear her.
“Steve! You cannot say that! She’s my sister!” She gasps, a few giggles escaping her mouth. “...It is true, though.” Steve grins a classic Steve Harrington smile that sends her heart into overdrive every time she sees it.
“I mean, you’re not exactly one to talk. Your dress is exactly the same, just dyed bright pink.” He smirks, making his escape to try and score some drinks at the bar before Y/N launches a centrepiece at his head. Sighing, she feels her heart slowing down. Not entirely, but a noticeable difference nonetheless. She can see Steve out of the corner of her eye getting roped into a conversation with her uncle. He’s the one who’s really into birdwatching and just loves to tell everyone about his experience when he was stuck in the pouring rain but just had to look for this really rare bird. Of course, hearing that story was about as exciting as watching paint dry. But Y/N decides to let Steve hear it for a little bit, just as a punishment for calling her a marshmallow. She sniggers as Steve makes eye contact with her, desperately trying to signal to that he needs rescuing. However, just as she decides to give him a break and rescue him from her uncle’s clutches, her mother sidles up to her. Great. Now she’s the one who needs rescuing.
“Hi, sweetheart.” She smiles. Y/N suppresses a groan rising from within her. Her mother is wearing the classic ‘mom smile’. The one they give you just before they ask what you’re doing with your life and why you haven’t got a well-paying job and already produced at least two grandchildren for her before the ripe age of 30.
“Hey, mom. Nicole looks great, right?” Her mom nods while Y/N braces herself for the impending question.
“She does. She really does.” Her mother beams, tears glistening in her eyes. Y/N softens slightly at that. Seeing the happiness on her families face all morning has been nice. Hopefully, she’ll get that chance one day. “You know sweetheart...” Her mother begins. “One day, I’d like to see you in a dress like that. Maybe not as big as Nikki’s, but similar anyway.” And there it is. “You know...James over there has a son about your age. He’s in your algebra class, I think. He’s cute, right?” She grins, and Y/N groans. She knew Andrew well. Most people in her year did. Andrew was someone who was more preoccupied with picking his nose and trying to cheat off of her paper than actually doing work. He wasn’t exactly her idea of her true love, no Prince Charming. “I’m not saying anything...”
“But...” Y/N continues under her breath. Of course, it was not the first time she had heard this speech in her life.
“-But I just want to make sure you’re happy and taken care of, sweetheart. I know I can be overbearing, but I’m just thinking of your future.” Y/N’s groan fades, and she smiles, pulling her mother into a hug. Even though her mother’s incessant questioning and trying to set her up with everyone was annoying, at least it came from a place of love.
“I know, mom, I know. I just...”
“And besides, James said Andrew wants to be an accountant! That’s good, right?” And there it is again. Y/N decides against telling her that there’s no way in hell Andrew will ever be an accountant and instead says nothing. In all honesty, she didn’t want any of the guys her mother suggested for her. Because all Y/N wanted...was Steve Harrington. Even though he’s a complete idiot and slightly insane (at least, insane enough to try and fight armed Russian guards one on one) like some sort of embarrassing cliché, Y/N has been in love with her best friend Steve Harrington for the last few months. Whenever she thinks of her future...it’s him that pops up into her head.
Falling in love with Steve was a lot different than she expected. Not least because at the start, she never thought it would be him she’d actually fall in love with. But as time went on, and they grew closer and closer, and Steve was there for her more and more, she found herself and her feelings changing. In a good way. When he did his complete 180 and became the surrogate father to a bunch of kids definitely helped. But it wasn’t just that. Because for Y/N Y/L/N, falling in love with Steve Harrington was far easier than she ever expected. It was nothing like the movies. There were no fireworks. No butterflies in her stomach. It was...so normal. She had gone to visit him and Robin at Scoops Ahoy, just like she had done multiple times before. When she walked up to the counter, Steve turned around, his winning sales speech prepped...and stopped the moment he laid eyes on her. The way his face lit up as soon as he recognised her unlocked something inside her. Everything she had ever felt about Steve made sense at that point.
Why she wanted to spend so much time with him, even if it was just eating so much ice cream that it made her stomach hurt whilst he was on shift, why she tended to his wounds after he got his ass kicked once again, why she put up with his dumb jokes and movie references, why she could spend all night talking to him, unlike anyone else...it was because she was in love. In love with Steve Harrington.
Of course, Robin and most of the kids...(well, Max and Jane) noticed almost immediately and have been encouraging her to tell him ever since she found out. Both to see their friends happy, and so Steve will stop hopelessly flirting with every woman who comes into the Scoops Ahoy store. But Y/N’s too nervous. Most people don’t fall in love with their best friends. And if they do, they definitely do not tell them. So, Y/N’s kept her mouth shut all this time, unwilling to ruin their friendship and afraid that he doesn’t feel the same. And of all the days to freak out about this, she picked the day her sister is getting married. The day she’s wearing a pink marshmallow. Speaking of the devil, Steve walks up to them. Y/N tries to ignore how good he looks in his suit, his trademark quiff as fluffy as ever. It doesn’t work. “Hey, Mrs Y/L/N!” He grins. “What a lovely service. Nikki looks gorgeous, by the way.” Her mother’s face lights up.
“Thank you very much, Steve! That’s so nice of you to say.” She pulls him into a hug. Y/N wonders if her mother would ever approve of her dating Steve. She adores him, but being your daughter’s best friend is a lot different than being her boyfriend. And, of course, that would involve actually telling either of them. Her mother would probably be happy for her, but she still has no idea how he’d react. And after all, he’s the important one. “Okay, kiddos, I’m off to speak to the caterer and see where this dang food is. You two stay out of trouble, alright?”
“Of course, Mrs Y/L/N. Wouldn’t dream of it.” Steve nods, and the pair wave her mother off. “God, your uncle is so fucking boring.” Steve groans, and Y/N giggles.
“You’re telling me you didn’t enjoy hearing his story about that time he got stuck in the rain for the...fourth time now?”
“Is this because I said you looked like a marshmallow?”
“Maybe.” She smirks. A silence falls amongst the pair. Y/N asks herself if it would be so bad if Steve knew she was in love with him. Maybe she should tell him? How could it hurt? His eyes flicker down to her lips, and for a moment she wonders if he feels the same...if he’s also wondering what it would feel like to kiss each other.
“Y/N?” Oh god, here it is.
“..Mhm?”
“I think you have lipstick on your teeth.” ...Or maybe not. Her eyes widen, and her cheeks flush.
“Oh fuck, Steve! And you couldn’t have told me this before? God, you’re such a...boy!” She exclaims, dashing off to the bathrooms, embarrassed by her outburst and by looking bad in front of Steve. Speaking of Steve, he’s left standing alone, confused.
“Was it something I said?”
*~*~*~*~*
Later that night, Y/N and Steve sit alone at a table, munching on leftover cheese and pineapple sticks from the buffet as couples sway on the dance floor. “My mom is kicking my ass about not going to college.” Steve groans. “I just don’t get why she won’t let me live my life a little. I feel bad enough as it is. Like, I like Scoops Ahoy! Sure, it’s not ideal, but it’s a job, and it’s good! Well...it’s good when you come to see me.” He admits, and it takes everything in her to not reach over and kiss him right there.
“I feel you. My mom keeps trying to set me up with every single guy at this wedding, and I don’t want any of them. These guys are not my type.” Steve raises his eyebrows suggestively.
“Oh? So who is your type then?” Oh shit. Y/N almost chokes on a cheese cube. Steve keeps staring at her, his eyebrows raised as she tries desperately to think what to say. Should she just come out with it? Just admit it?
“You.” She takes a breath, and for a second, she sees something flicker in Steve’s eyes. What it is, she doesn’t know. But then, before she could ask him, her fear takes over. “...You don’t know him.” She curses herself for being so close to admitting it and still not doing it...but in reality, she’s still terrified of rejection. It took her and Steve long enough to become friends, and she can’t ruin it just yet. “He goes to another school.” Steve’s demeanour changes slightly, and he frowns. But it’s barely noticeable, and soon he’s back to his regular self.
“Well, you’ll have to introduce me some time, alright?” He asks, and she nods. A part of her is still confused by Steve’s change in demeanour. What does it mean? Could it be...could he feel the same? But before she can even say anything, the opening sound of Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline begins to play. Steve’s eyes light up, and he springs up, pulling her up with him. “Come on! I love this song!” He grins, leading her onto the dance floor, dodging the bodies of her family left and right. They soon stop, and Steve takes both her hands in his, pulling her closer into his body. She feels sparks the instant he does. Steve is so warm...and smells so good. Her heart starts beating faster. Thankfully, Steve doesn’t notice and twirls her around the dance floor, singing along to the song as he does so. “Thought I’d at least give the most important bridesmaid a dance.” He smiles.
“Steve, I’m not even the most important one. I’m not the maid of honour. You don’t have to do this.”
“You should be. You’re the bride’s sister, for fuck’s sake.” He says, twirling her under his arm and bringing her closer to him. “But anyway...to me, you’re the most important girl here.” Her cheeks flush. Okay, that’s weird, right? Most best friends don’t say that about each other, do they? As the song fades out and is replaced by the sound of Foreigner’s I Want to Know What Love Is, Y/N and Steve continue to hold onto each other. Steve gently begins to sway her. The world fades out around them. The sounds of her drunk relatives, her cousins jumping around...everything goes. Just them and the music. “I want to know what love is...” Steve softly sings along to the chorus, staring into her eyes. “I want you to show me..” Y/N’s heart soars. Is...is he singing about her? Does he mean her? Steve continues to serenade her as the two slowly spin around the dance floor. Y/N goes through everything in her mind. Every memory, every scenario, everything she and Steve have ever been through. And then...she decides to tell him. Tell him the truth. Tell him that she’s in love with him.
“Steve...”
“Mhm?”
“I couldn’t tell you this earlier, but...”
“Yeah?”
“...It’s you. My type, I mean. It’s always been you.” Steve looks slightly shocked, and she continues. “I’ve been too scared to tell you, but...I’ve been in love with you for the past few months now, and...fuck, I don’t know. I just. I love you, Steve!” Steve doesn’t say anything for a moment, and Y/N sighs, thinking she’s destroyed her friendship with Steve forever. But, just as she’s about to leave Steve’s embrace and go hide from the embarrassment, he whispers:
“God, I’ve been waiting for you to say that.” Steve leans his head in closer, and Y/N’s head rises up to meet it. The music swells as their lips connect. Y/N can hear her mother and sister gasping in the background, but she doesn’t care. All she cares about is how she’s kissing Steve Harrington. And he loves her back. The music soon changes to What a Feeling by Irene Cara, and the pair pull apart. Steve has her lipstick smeared on his lips, and she’s sure her hair is falling out of its meticulous hairstyle, but neither of them care. “Wow...that was....amazing.” Steve gasps, and she nods. “You know, it’s weird.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, I just kissed the girl of my dreams, who is also my best friend. I think my world is kinda...changed forever. Even after all the crazy, life-altering shit we’ve been through...kissing you is the thing that turns my world upside down. Even after dealing with the literal upside down.” Y/N smiles.
“Well...maybe you should do it again then.” Steve smiles.
“Don’t have to tell me twice.” He chuckles, leaning in once more.

YN's POV:
Today is the day.
Today is the day I marry the love of my life.
Today is the day I become Mrs. Michael Wardlow.
I have been up for hours getting ready with my bridesmaids and maid of honor. Pam is my maid of honor and I wouldn't have anyone else standing next to me.
The photographer has been taking photos since the moment she got here. She even had us take photos of ourselves in our robes.
Including the back of them. Mine was a customised one that had Mrs. Mayhem on the back instead of my name or just bride.
"YN, this place is just gorgeous." Pam said as she filled my glass with ginger ale as I ate some crackers.
I agreed with her and looked out the window to where our wedding ceremony is going to take place.
Tumblr media
Only a few more hours until we say I do and I am actually very calm right now. I have the women that mean so much to be to be here on my special day.
Even though my beloved Grandparents couldn't be here as they passed a long time ago, I am wearing the locket that my Grandfather gave my Grandmother for their first wedding anniversary as my something old.
The two photos inside are the two of them on their wedding day, and I know they are with me here in spirit.
For my something blue, it is my gorgeous engagement ring and I couldn't help but smile as I ran my finger across it.
My something borrowed was a surprise and I didn't find out what it was until this morning.
It is earrings from my future mother-in-law. She lent me the pair she wore on her wedding day and the photographer made sure to capture the moment she handed them to me as I cried and the two of us hugged.
♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡
It is nearly time and I am still calm. This day that we have been planning for months has come along beautifully.
Every single person we invited has come to watch the two of us get married. Our friends and family are sitting, mixed with one another.
That is one thing we changed. We didn't have a brides side or a grooms side as we know many of the same people.
I was brought out of my thoughts as there was a loud knock on the door. Renee went to check the door and she allowed whoever knocked to come in.
I smiled and stood up as Jon and Eddie came in. I know they are not fans of wearing suits but they are doing it for us.
"Ladies, you all look gorgeous" Eddie said as he smiled at each one. I couldn't agree more as I looked at them.
Tumblr media
They were each wearing a different style of dress but all in the same colour, dark purple. I wanted them to feel comfortable in their dresses and I know a few of them do not enjoy strapless but some do. Some like sleeves but others don't.
"And you YN look absolutely breathtaking." Jon said to me as he kissed my cheek. He started to panic once he saw the tears in my eyes but I told him everything is okay.
Eddie told me I make a beautiful bride and kissed my cheek as well. I watched as Jon picked up his daughter Nora who looked adorable in her flower girl dress.
Tumblr media
Her and a few of Michael's little cousins were flower girls. Nolan and Brodie Huber were the ring bearers.
"You ready YN? It is time." Jon said to me.
"I am ready." I said.
My bridesmaids grabbed their bouquets and we left the room. Pam was carrying my flowers until we are ready to walk down the aisle.
Once we were at our positions and Pam handed me my bouquet, the music started to play.
The violinists started to play and one by one, each flower girl walked down the aisle and then my bridesmaids.
Now the wedding march started to play. Each guest that could, stood up and looked as Jon, Eddie and myself started to walk down the aisle.
But my focus was only on Michael. It looked like his best man said something to him and he nodded in agreement.
Then I saw Michael do something I never imagined in a million years of him doing.
He started to cry.
He was handed a handkerchief to wipe away his tears but he shook his head no at the offer. He wiped away his tears and continued to watch as I got closer and closer to him.
And he looks so handsome. I love Michael in all styles of clothing but he is just gorgeous in a suit.
Tumblr media
Wardlow's POV:
I watched as YN walked towards me with Eddie and Jon by her side.
She looked absolutely gorgeous and I can't believe she is mine. I can't believe she is wanting to spend the rest of her life with me.
In our beautiful house where we will raise our beautiful family. We found out what we were having two days ago and we decided to tell our friends and family later on today.
The people who mean the world to us are here and we knew today was the best time to tell the ones we care about.
Just the thought of us raising our family together. Her walking towards me in her wedding dress where I can see her baby bump, it all became too much and I started to cry.
Tumblr media
I didn't take the handkerchief that was offered to me but I smiled at her and mouthed 'I love you' to her.
"Who gives the bride away?" The officiant asked.
"We do." Jon and Eddie said and they each gave her a kiss on the cheek and I shook their hands.
I took her hand in mine and we faced the officiant and they began to speak.
"Welcome, family, friends and loved ones. We gather here today to celebrate the wedding of YN and Michael. You have come here to share in this formal commitment they make to one another, to offer your love and support to this union, and to allow them to start their married life together surrounded by the people dearest and most important to them. So welcome to one and all, who have traveled from near and far. YN and Michael thank you for your presence here today and now ask for your blessing, encouragement, and lifelong support, for their decision to be married."
"Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure of human relationships. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that—through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other; through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, and to let go of the rest. What this ceremony can do is to witness and affirm the choice you make to stand together as lifemates and partners."
"Two people in love do not live in isolation. Their love is a source of strength with which they may nourish not only each other but also the world around them. And in turn, we, their community of friends and family, have a responsibility to this couple. By our steadfast care, respect, and love, we can support their marriage and the new family they are creating today."
"Will everyone please rise. Will you who are present here today, surround Michael and YN in love, offering them the joys of your friendship, and supporting them in their marriage?"
We included this because of everything we have been going through. People who we love and cherish stood and all declared that they will always support us. The officiant had them sit back down.
"We've come to the point of your ceremony where you're going to say your vows to one another. But before you do that, I ask you to remember that love—which is rooted in faith, trust, and acceptance— will be the foundation of an abiding and deepening relationship. No other ties are more tender, no other vows more sacred than those you now assume. If you are able to keep the vows you take here today, not because of any religious or civic law, but out of a desire to love and be loved by another person fully, without limitation, then your life will have joy and the home you establish will be a place in which you both will find the direction of your growth, your freedom, and your responsibility. Please now read the vows you have written for each other."
YN and I turned to one another. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the paper I wrote my vows on.
"YN," I started to choke up but she just squeezed my hand that was still holding hers.
"YN, I was drawn to you from the day we met. Your warm and inviting eyes and your magnetic smile softened my tough façade immediately. I remember wanting to have, and sometimes make, reasons to talk to you. To see you beam that amazing smile back at me, immediately putting me at ease and brightening my day. I love that we started out as friends. That is my favourite part. You truly saw me. You understand me, accept me, in a way no one else has, in a way that I believe no one else can. You are my best friend…. I'm so grateful for our special brand of weird. To me, it means more than just being silly. It signifies a special, profound, unfettered love for each other. It's loving each other at our most intimate, vulnerable times. It colours our tapestry with yet unnamed, exotic colors, known only to the two of us."
I had to stop to wipe away her tears.
"With my whole heart, I take you as my wife, acknowledging and accepting your faults and strengths, as you do mine.
I promise to be faithful and supportive and to always make our family's love and happiness my priority. I vow to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share in the silence when they are not. I will be yours in plenty and in want, in sickness and in health, in failure and in triumph. I will dream with you, celebrate with you and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring.
I give you my hand and my heart. As a sanctuary of warmth and peace. I pledge my love, devotion, faith and honor as I join my life to yours. You are my person—my love and my life, today and always. I thank the most high that I am yours and you're mine."
YN now had tears streaming down her face as did many of our guests. My heart was beating like crazy as I waited for YN to read her vows.
"Michael, we both know how indecisive I can be, but one thing I know with complete certainty is that you are the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with.
You are my best friend, my anchor, my respite. My travel partner, my confidant and my biggest cheerleader. You are fiercely loyal, trustworthy, generous and selfless to a fault. You make me laugh, challenge me, support me and never let me forget how beautiful and amazing you think I am. You've helped me blossom into the woman that I am today, and have shown me a love that is pure, magical and everlasting.
I love how thoughtful, romantic and passionate you are with everything you do. I love the way you light up when you get a creative idea, the way your eyelashes curl and how your big blue eyes glimmer whenever you look at me. You are the love of my life and I am eternally grateful to know you.
I promise to always support your dreams, to be your forever sporting event partner and to always make the bed if I'm the last one to wake up in the morning."
"YN and Michael, do you take one another as partners, form this day forward, as husband and wife?"
YN and I both said we do.
"Yn and Michael have chosen these rings to represent the unbreakable circle of life and love. Please place them on each other’s ring fingers and repeat after me."
They waited for us to place the rings at our fingers.
" I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you."
We repeated the words as we slid the rings onto each other fingers.
Tumblr media
"By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss each other!"
They were barely finished talking and the two of us had our first kiss. Our guest stood up and clapped and cheered for us as they shared the special moment with us.
One of my hands was cradling YN's face and the other one was placed on her pregnant belly.
Once our our kiss was done, we leaned our foreheads against one another and we softly said I love you to one another.
I kissed her once more and then we turned to face our guests, who were still clapping and cheering for us.
We walked down the aisle with our wedding party right behind us as it is now time for photos.
