is it just me?

i've been observing a tendency surrounding women —mostly between 20 and 26— where we can't find anything close to love (from men). women are not dating, nor living a normal life, developing a femcel-like point of view. and im saying this because i want to be loved just like anyone else, but are we the problem? or is there something wrong with boys? i mean, ofc there's something wrong with boys; but every year pass by and every time is harder and harder to find someone willing to put the effort to make you feel loved and understood. was it like this 50 years ago? 100 years ago? i am very much aware that our mothers and grandmothers suffered in the world they lived in, generally with sexist husbands and mandatory tradwife lifestyle. but i am also sure that there was some exceptions, way too many more than today.

and we tend to romanticize the past, probably there's something to do with our generation. nor millennials or gen z, the ones in the middle. the girls who grew up with enough technology but not so much. the ones that went crazy over boybands and fanfiction and hung up posters in our walls. the ones that went crazy in 2018-2020 with deranged feminism just to realise, later on, nobody really cared and it maybe was a little over the top. the ones that filled our beds with stuffed animals repeatedly every time we woke up just to throw them on the floor at night so we could sleep. the girls who spent their teenage years on tumblr writing code (before men took that away from us) and making playlists of marina lana and the 1975 so everyone on the internet could see how cool we wanted to look like. probably the ones that suffered some kind of bullying in highschool or some health problem related to how we didn't fit in or how bad we looked at ourselves in the mirror (yk what i mean). we weren't the cool kids in real life or it was just me?

now i'm observing how hard it is to adapt that teenager to adult years. and maybe it's me but i don't feel like an adult. i am a tiny ball of anxiety. i suffer too much stress. i am trying to finish my degree but i don't know if im worthy of anything because i dont have money, and i don't have time to work and study at the same time because i spend too many time thinking about it and feeling a fraud and a failure.

i don't know how to talk to boys either —nor girls, in that way—. and until some days ago i was quite sure i was willing and capable of spending my whole life alone. i've given up to anything because i felt it imposible to be loved. but lately my mind goes up and down with that scene of jo monologue in little women by gretta gerwig. and it also goes with the hot priest monologue of fleabag. and today i rewatched the classic he's just not that into you. are we condemned to be the tedious rule? am i?

i've seen all of my girlfriends suffering the same mysery. and i've seen the extremes. women giving up the love they deserve —because they accepted the fate of being the rule— by dating a jerk just because they are afraid of loneliness. and i've also seen women giving up everything else just because they are not willing to give up love. those are us. hopeless romantics who watched way too many romantic comedies and somehow still expect to find someone willing to die for us just like dicaprio in romeo + juliet. —or at least a patrick verona—.

what i've never seen was actual love. all the couples i met... they don't look happy. they don't look in love. they don't look like they enjoy their own company even. they look exactly like a picture of instagram. they exist just to make us feel miserable even when it's obvious they are not gonna last. i've seen couples of what? 7 years? gone. broken up. they grew tired of each other and of course they never looked like they had anything close to sparkles in their eyes. chemistry? none. and maybe it is my anxiety speaking but i don't want that. i refuse to have that. i want all or nothing. i want always and forever. i want everyone to look at us and think "if i don't have that i'll kms". i want family —even tho im not sure i want to get pregnant, what am i a childbride?—. i don't want to change anything to fit in with the standards of a boy. i want marriage even tho im not sure i want to be legally married. i want the posibility, the future. i want the emotions surpassing myself. i want to not know me anymore and then knowing me again. i want to doubt myself. i want my heart beating so fast i could kill someone for them. i want to believe god exists. i want to laugh of happiness without they making a joke. i want my sundays to not be deppresing because i can hang out with the love of my life and have fun. i want to be the "and yet" of someone willingly enough to fall for me every single day even if i am kinda insane all the time. i want someone who cares. someone who fantasizes with spending the rest of their lives with me and is going to put the effort to get to know every single thing about me and stay because he's blown away. and aparently that's setting the bar "too high" because we are the rule and not the exception.

people always assume that by being a romantic i expect flowers every day and cheesy comments about how beautiful i look; and that would actually make me want to puke because i can do that myself. i am confortable with myself, i like myself, i love myself, i have the ego. i am not really asking for that much i just want someone to love me with every single thing that's probably wrong with me. what i want is someone curious and smart. someone who pays enough attention or wants to. i want the chemistry off the roof.

and contrary to anyone's beliefs the bar is too low about everything else. every single girl probably wants the same thing. is it that hard for men to understand that women want to feel loved?

lately —worldwide— it's all a competition of genres as if humanity doesn't need us to interact to survive. it's a loop that opened up in 2013? with the tumblr-4chan gate and right now got translated to the real world because pick-mes are back and being a man is cool. and suddenly that's how nature works!! because apparently women are boring and just a hole. maybe they all need to go all alexander the great. but it's getting boring. and we as women deserve love as much as respect.

I think you and Fulgur match so well. You’re both the dads of the group because of your caring natures even if you go about it in different ways. He’s patient with you and all your flaws and you make him feel relaxed enough to let out his more nerdy side. You also keep him from bottling up his pain and emotions to himself.

You and Fulgur met when you were taking a trip to his bookstore. You wanted to take a look at the newest (insert ttrpg) books for your upcoming campaign. You we’re having a hard time finding any so you decided to go up and ask the store clerc. The man behind the counter had tied back gray hair, bluish gray eyes, and glasses. His name tag read: Fulgur Ovid.

You asked him about the book you wanted to buy, and you saw his eyes light up with excitement before clearing his throat to regain his composure. He asked you to follow him and led you to what you were looking for. As he assisted you, you guys talked about the game which led to you talking about lots of other likes and hobbies.

You ended up walking away with his number and texting nerdy shit. You guys talked for months before Fulgur asked you out during a oneshot campaign you guys were playing where he was the GM.

You guy’s relationship is very domestic. You guys are both group dads so you’re the respective parents whenever you’re hanging out with friends. It personally upsets me as someone who has a disorder that causes me to get violent on accident when I get overwhelmed or upset that Katelyn had no self awareness at all. As someone with bipolar 2 I have hella self awareness and even am afraid of hurting my friends.

Although compared to katelyn I did have someone there in my childhood to care about me(my twin @eumeliafeu who I'm very thankful for) and help me regulate though I do believe that katelyn did have an older brother who did try to help regardless of not understanding how she felt, especially after their mother left.

Though it can never be canon it is very evident that Katelyn does have BPD(I have remembered to update this finally but the post is by the lovely @katelynsimpsince2016 and you can find it here it makes me so happy to see stuff like this for characters who may not have been meant to be written as portraying it but sometimes end up being better than actually canonical characters with it but thats for another time.) and so much points to it. Growing up with multiple siblings especially if one or more of them have health issues its gets you overlooked. Katelyn was absolutely overlooked as a kid and it wasnt right but its evident her father lovers her anyways.

I'm saying all of this to just scratch the surface of how she is going to be in my rewrite. She will be self aware and downright hesitant to even befriend anyone due to her self awareness because I am and even my friend with BPD is the same way and realizes after they've calmed that they where being a dick.

Anyways I truly just want good representation of people with mood and psychological disorders like bipolar and bpd because we dont get it enough and it's so evident in many characters even if it's not canon. Having awareness of how it affects people brings light to so much of Katelyn writing and I dont want her to be seen as just abusive, I want her to be seen as a human who can fuck up but at the end of the day loves her friends and apologizes

I WAS JUST THINKING ABT THAT EPISODE its so funny and i love louise telling the cops that they're having a benefit for rudy and him being like but im normal ?? am i not a normal kid??? and i love that they just casually hang out and ride bikes together off screen bcuz thats like the only time i remember it being directly stated that the kids hang out with their friends outside of episodes that they're in <33 cutest kids in the world

rudy has other health problems outside of asthma like nothing life-threatening but he def cant keep up with a lot of the other kids HOWEVER louise is always looking out for him and they have fun together :) if rudy forgets his inhaler or any of his medications louise will bug him about it bcuz she really cares about him and wants him to be safe

rudy was the first person outside of louise's family (and ppl who knew her when she was a toddler obviously like teddy and random strangers or babysitters) to see her without her bunny ears!!! they have sleepovers sometimes and she just casually took off her ears for a second to brush her hair bcuz she feels safe around him. louise acted like it wasn't a big deal but rudy was very touched that she felt comfortable around him

his parents divorced right around the time he started having obvious health issues which led to him believing that it was his fault somehow and that he's too much of a burden to his parents (but really it wasnt his fault and neither of his parents ever told him anything like that) this was when he was maybe 5 or 6 years old

his mom is SUPER overprotective of him bcuz of his health issues and bcuz of this she doesn't really like louise at first bcuz she's so violent and such a troublemaker (she doesnt let louise come over to her house to play with rudy) but after she sees how happy rudy is when spending time with her she grows more accepting of louise and realizes she isnt a bad kid. she also learns to stop being such a helicopter parent when rudy gets a little older bcuz she sees that he IS okay and he has ppl outside his parents looking out for him :)

not even a headcanon but i like the idea that maybe someday his dad will marry someone who also has kids from a previous marriage and he'll have siblings!!! louise teaches him all about how to deal with annoying siblings but also tells him how much fun they are to be around

rudy also genuinely loves spending time with louise's siblings and always invites them to play when he's doing stuff with louise. especially gene bcuz he's always wanted a big brother and he genuinely thinks he's the coolest person which gene thinks is very cute and louise is DISGUSTED by but learns to tolerate (eventually)

gene is also the person who teaches rudy how to shave when he gets older bcuz he felt awkward going to his dad bcuz he knew that he would make it into a Thing and it would be super annoying. dont ask him why he went to gene instead of bob but they had a lot of fun even if they made a huge mess with the shaving cream 😭😭

• I think the next best ship for you would be Alastor! I’m not super confident with this one, but I hope you do enjoy this match nonetheless.

• Alastor would immediately break down those awkward walls you built up, making conversation with your pretty quickly, almost instantly after you meet. He kind of is a little pushy too, if he needs something from you, whatever that might be. He’s used to awkwardness though, so please don’t feel ashamed.

Ok this is in relation to the new rule on my main blog

If you're struggling with mental health issues or are sensitive to certain topics there will be trigger tags so double check if you feel safe enough to read, I tried to water it down as much as I could but still

I don't really want to talk about it but if I don't it's just going to fester in my mind and make me feel awful

I ended up blocking them for my own mental health, and sent them an apology as an ask explaining that it wasn't their fault that I did so

So this is obviously in relation to someone who reached out to me about a very sensitive topic...

I wasn't sure if they could answer it if I had them blocked, so I finally decided to check after a long time of self debating and...

I don't want any hate after them they're clearly struggling with something and don't need more on their plate

I thought they would understand my apology but apparently I worded it poorly...

I'm happy to help people but not when it comes at the detriment of my own mental health and I was getting red flags all over when they were talking to me...

The conversation up to the point very much sent guilt tripping vibes, starting by saying something along the lines of "I think everyone hates me" and it just felt more nerve wracking the longer it went on

I don't know if they were aware of that but I couldn't handle it with what I've gone through growing up

They opened up way too easily to someone they didn't even know, maybe they're an inexperienced little kid or not but...

I don't have the full conversation because I kept deleting it in hopes it would stop but I have the message that made me finally decide to block them

I decided to write one overall matchup for both games, and then two shorter ones for each one individually, if that makes sense

Overall, I'd match you with Korekiyo Shinguji!

First of all, Kiyo may come off as creepy or unlikeable, but he has a lot of affection for humanity and, healing from what his sister did, would absolutely find himself with an attachment for someone like you fast

You’re somewhat contrasting, as an extrovert and definite introvert, but he’d quickly pick up on your personality traits and would find conversation with you enjoyable in how animated it is

From the very start, he finds you curious

He admires your straightforwardness and confidence, though he’d grow concerned about you spending too much of yourself for others

(Sort of also, if not the therapist friend, calm/older brother friend lol)

Oh, hey! A T4T pairing (headcanon anyways lol)

Let's be real, this man will not think much of you at first, as he is an awkward guy himself. I can only think of a couple of ways you would cross paths: either you'd cross paths in the forest somehow while he was foraging for mushrooms and you happen to be passing by, or when the two of you were made to take classes together

When you DO actually take classes together, you try to open up to him, but your first few attempts were unsuccessful. You tried to help him out, but he felt that you came off a little strong. His attitude does change, however, when his snake familiar, Linos, meets you in the forest one day. Linos seemed to like you after he showed initial curiosity towards you, so Dia supposes he could give you the benefit of the doubt.

Though he will deny it at first, he soon comes to realize that giving you the benefit of the doubt was the best thing he could have done. By observing you, he found that there was a lot to like about you, the first thing being that animals really seemed to like you. He also came to appreciate how much care you put into caring for your friends. He also comes to like how you stand up for any injustices (though you might want to reign it in a little bit sometimes).

By the time he accepts you as a friend, he comes to realize just how similar the two of you are. You both have your special interests and hyperfixations, and you both have your little quirks that you both find endearing. He assigns personalities to his mushrooms, and you get really animated when you talk about the things you like. He may not be familiar with the things you're into (read: they don't exist in Saligia 💀), but he'd still listen

Neither of you know how or when you became paramours, but neither of you are complaining. You love each other. You can truly be yourselves around each other. He affectionately teases you, and you can be your wholesome and silly self. Dia can be a bit of a pessimist at times, but that is something the two of you can work through. He does also find you to be a little overbearing at times, but he will tell you when this happens. Overall a very happy relationship
