I thought we'd start this project off with my first and comfort fic The Scars We Carry (aka Imprint AU) and Canary!

I've already sung (@bananaink ) Banana Ink's Imprint AU multiple times BUT GUYS this bad boy is what dragged me by the heels back to this fandom and right into the arms of the Dadzawa community! Ngl I have so many doodles of this boy

In this fic Izuku was kidnapped raised by AFO alongside Shigaraki. It opens with a surprised Aizawa finding a very bloody child hiding on his balcony after escaping his "home". I encourage you guys to check out the author's own art as well as the fic!

I have, for quite some time now, been reading a BNHA fanfic where songs have a big impact on Izuku’s quirk. The newest one I’m reading(Canary, by Cloud nine and three quarters, they made songs Izuku songs into a form of reality. For example “Set fire to the rain” by Adele will literally set rain on fire.

This just made me think, my own play list, what kind of abilities would I get form that? By mostly going by a song title or the word which is mostly repeated in the chorus!

Just a fun thing-

Dose stitches count as a healing ability? Same with Numb?

If so 10 songs I would use

1. A little Faster, There For Tomorrow - Speed Boost

2. Poison, Alice Cooper - Poisoning touch

3. Toxic, Britney Spears - Toxic area attack

4. Pain, Three Days Grace - Makes the target feel any form of pain and requires touching

5. T.NT, AC/DC - just like the title… a Bakugou ripoff attack area attack

6. Ten Thousand Fists, Disturbed - upper strength boost when firing with hands and upper body

7. Shepherds of Fore, Avenged Sevenfold - FIRE ATTACK distance

8. BURN IT DOWN, Linkin Park- also a fire attack distance

9. Stitches, Shawn Mendes - stitches wounds together require to touch the area

10. Numb, Linkin Park - numbs everything. Pain, mostly intended but you wouldn’t feel any thing outside of pressure form outside, also requires touching

So I read @cloud-nine-and-three-quarters absolutely wonderful fanfic Canary and honestly it was one of the best ones I’ve ever read, it captured, melted, destroyed and then melted my heart again.

So here’s one of my favourite scenes of Izuku singing “Set Fire to the Rain” I loved the drama, the way he discovered his Quirk and the way this scene was referenced later =3 Aaaand I should probably write a proper comment (ekhem, essay, ekhem) but I just HAD TO express my love for this so I made this drawing c:

Mostly familial fluff with a side helping of mystery as he puts everything together, mutual pining, and a healthy dose of paranoia. (No archive warnings apply, but mind the tags.)

Unforeseen Consequences by @yamadadzawa: Deals with Aizawa and Izuku’s trust issues after being threatened by Recovery Girl to withhold healing. Not gonna lie, this is a very heavy read but so worth it. The tag ‘Aizawa “i will burn this place to the ground to keep this kid safe” Shouta’ says it all. (No archive warnings apply)
