every time i see "Ed asks Lucius to write down his lyrics" used as an argument for claiming that Ed can't write i just want to. you know. point out that Stede has Lucius write down everything he says?? and does?? all the time?? and when he can't find Lucius he asks Frenchie (who actually cannot write) to do it instead of just writing it himself. and we know Stede can write. it's got nothing to do with ability to write, just that the captains don't seem to want to write stuff themselves when they have an employee whose job is to do that exact thing for them

I've been doing a bunch of illustrations from the perspective of Lucius sketching on Stede's request, almost like he wants Polaroids of their life together. Lucius started out as a spoiled, naive daddy's boy, but after stepping up as captain of his own airship, The Stormchaser, he really grew as a person and found his confidence. Also he's fabulous and can draw magic power from colours.

Captain Flint was the captain of a pirate ship, The Walrus, which accumulated an enormous amount of captured treasure. On August 1, 1750, Flint and six members of his crew bury the plunder on an island located somewhere in the Caribbean Sea. Flint then murders his six assistants, leaving the corpse of one with its arms outstretched in the direction of the buried treasure. The location of the treasure had been marked by Flint on a map and while he was dying it entrusted to his first mate William "Billy" Bones.

The only person Flint was said to fear was his quartermaster John Silver, who later even called his parrot "Captain Flint" in mockery.
