Raven Halfmoon’s (Caddo Nation) stoneware sculptures embrace the monumental. The artist, whose first major solo exhibition, Raven Halfmoon: Flags of Our Mothers, opened on June 25 at The Aldrich Contemporary in Connecticut, situates her work within the canon of Caddo culture and production.

as an end to my introductory art posts, heres a project i recently did in my ceramics class, a little box shaped like a nightstand!! it was my first project in that class and i honestly love how it turned out. whole thing is about 5 inches tall, and we used a simple box pattern carved from a flat piece of clay, folded up and attached the sides, and i used a needle tool to carve in the woodgrain on the sides. it does open and the inside is blue but i forgot to take a picture of that.
