Do you have personal headcanons on Callidora, Cedrella, and Charis?

hello! thank you so much for the ask

i don't have many specific headcanons, just more general ideas

i think the black family has lived exclusively in the london area for centuries and the house they lived in is from the tudor era and survived the great fire of 1666 through magic, becoming unplottable and invisible to muggles since then

the three were very close while growing up and got along with dorea the most out of their cousins because of the age proximity

theirs was probably the poorest branch of the family

being so distant from the heir line, the only expectation they had was to marry pure-blood wizards (or not marry at all)

callidora married a longbottom (i personally don't think she's directly related to frank and neville because i headcanon frank to be older than sirius iii and i always thought of augusta as being very old so the two of them would be closer in age), moved to lancanshire and had her three kids in the 40s

she spends many of her days at blackpool pier chatting with enid and augusta

cedrella followed the memo and married pure-blood septimus weasley, but her family was not pleased because the weasleys have gotten a worse fame of blood traitors after objecting to the pure-blood directory

she had four kids, all boys, and the youngest, whom she favors, is named castor (a star in the gemini constellation, twin to pollux). both castor and arthur got her blue eyes

charis married a crouch and i can't decide if she's the mother of barty sr. or not because to me he looks like the type to only have kids in their mid 30s after his carrier is solid and that doesn't align with her age

callidora and charis never stopped talking to their sister, but they can't pretend to like her children. callidora tolerates castor, and that's it

lysandra moved out of the house after arcturus died and cygnus and druella moved in with their daughters (they used to live with pollux in hampstead, in a house that would have been alphard's inheritance the way grimmauld place was passed down to walburga)

bellatrix, andromeda and narcissa got compared to them all the time because of the way they were always together

callidora cut ties with her family after the first war. not in a dramatic way, most of them were either dead or imprisoned, but she never went after arcturus, or pollux, or cassiopeia, anyone, she only spoke to cedrella

#can you tell i spent too much time thinking about where they all lived? #i have a small issue with the birth dates for arcturus and cygnus bc it is a mess #but i age up cygnus (and pollux and the other cygnus) so generally arcturus is the youngest son #the noble and most ancient house of black #callidora black #cedrella black #charis black

Charis is named after the Charites (singular Charis), the Greek goddesses of charm and beauty. The Greek charis means "grace, kindness."

Like her mother Lysandra and her sister Callidora, Charis is named after a type of butterfly.

There is an asteroid called 627 Charis which was discovered on 4 March 1907.

Auriga is a constellation.

Charis and Caspar had three children 2 girls and a boy. I know it's a common headcanon that Caspar was Bartemius Sr.'s father, but to me they were brothers, since Bartemius was described as much older. Children:

-Caspar Bartemius Crouch II (1937 - 1977) (had a son and two granddaughters, one of whom married Tiberius Lestrange) -Amathea Carine Crouch (1939 - ) -Thysania Charis Crouch (1940 - )

So for the sisters week of the @ladiesofhpfest, I'm writing about some of the obscure great-aunts from the Black family (Cassiopeia, Dorea, Callidora, Cedrella, Charis).

Folks, these ladies are just names on a family tree. All the info we have on them is their birth/death dates; their parents', siblings', and husbands' names; and how many children they had. And most of that is not even technically canon, depending on what you count, because only Cedrella is even mentioned in the books.

Why am I getting so emotional about these women? Why am I suddenly so invested in Charis missing Cedrella after she was disowned? Why have I suddenly decided Cassiopeia never had kids because she was terrified they would be squibs like her brother? Why do I have Dorea looking around at her mess of a family and wondering why they tell you family is everything only to make it so conditional? None of that is canon! I decided to do it that way! Why am I so determined to make myself cry?

Clustered around the docking berth to one of Barghest Company’s two dropships, but not in the way of the stream of crew, techs, and other personnel, Lt . Victoria Everheart watched the munitions and supply carts go by to be loaded not only into the Leopard Class dropship “Dando”, but also into her mech, an Axman dubbed “Queen of Hearts”. The 6 foot muscled Mechwarrior wouldn’t normally have stood out, we’re it not for the cat ears, tail and eyes she possessed, and tattoos on prominent display garbed as she was in tank top and compact pants and boots.

Around her sat or stood the two other members of her lance, as well as possibly the largest black German Shepard ever seen in the inner sphere.

Major Vance Strider, a gaunt, bald man sits on a crate beside her, seemingly mumbling or speaking at himself with closed eyes, in meditation or contemplation.

“This is gonna be one hell of a drop, huh?” Said Major Anya Corwin, a buxom woman on the shorter side with curly red hair. As if in response, the large dog she is petting and giving skritches to chuffs a bit.

Victoria snorts. “Thanks for the input, Loki.” She stretches, rolling well sculpted shoulders. “But yeah, looks that way…can’t say I’ve seen this many people in one place since well, the last war.”

“Hope it all goes well…or as well as can be expected…” Anya chips in.

“Yeah, same.” Victoria agrees.

As if in agreement once again, the dog Loki huffs again.

One of my favorite sims, Charis Black, son of Walburga and Orion Black, marrying my simself's granddaughter Euphemia Potter. Charis is one of my favorite sims because he is sooo wonderfully nice and sweet, with his 10 nice points, and he deserves the best <3

The wedding was a bit messy, but what sims' wedding isn't? I was testing out a new church venue, and it's kind of small. At least most people sat through it xD

A sim wedding is not complete without someone standing in the aisle the whole time, or without a mistress sitting next to someone's husband, and then drama ensuing.

Look how sweet Sev is, getting +8000 aspiration points for a relative getting married! <3

And Venus really should have left the spot next to Cygnus for his wife Druella...

...As well as not kissed him in front of the whole town, and for his wife to watch. :X

Fleamont Potter: Hey Cygnus, not sure if you saw, but your wife was also invited to the wedding, and she's right behind you, watching.

Cygnus: Noted. Let's get stuck in a large crowd in a tiny space, so her slap attempts will route-error, and then go straight to sleep when I get home to avoid confrontation.

Shockingly enough, it worked!

Lucius: Hey Sev, you're friends with Rodolphus, right? Have you heard, has he been asking about me? Severus: He's married to Barty Crouch dude, please, no more affair talk at my granddaughter's wedding.

General, a question for you. I recently was led to think about ribbons and such, and I realized I needed to know something for this operation.

What color is this new Star League?

You are referring to color as in, camouflage color, quiaff?

In that case, the same as the previous Star Leagues, Olive Drab with (typically) Dark Green highlights. Camouflage may of course be applied when situations warrant it, but this is to be the standard paint scheme. In a break from traditional SLDF doctrine, units will display a Tactical Recognition Flash on the front, as well as the left shoulder of the 'Mech. These TRFs are unique for each unit, in shape, color, and makeup.

Some special and/or "legacy" units may be allowed a different highlight color — the Turkina Regiment for example, as the former Turkina Keshik, is allowed the use of its former Lime Green+Gold Pearl Glaze highlight.

Other such special regiments recieve extensive alterations to the paint scheme —notably the Royal Black Watch, and the Gunslinger Regiment with their white and orange highlights.

However, all will have Star League Olive Drab as the base color, and all will have the Star League Star emblazoned somewhere on the front.

Uniformity that also allows identification at a glance, is important in a truly organized military force, quiaff?
