—Terracotta—
Ok so I visited xi'an during my trip back to china (3 months ago?), and this idea popped into my head during the 9h train ride back to shangdong. I am of course 100% projecting my own love of the terracotta army onto Qin Shi Huang, in reality he did not care for this pit of mud statues depicting lowly commoners. In fact, no one ever bothered to write about it and they were lost to history until 1974 when some farmers digging a well stumbled upon them. But it's exactly the reason I'm so fascinated by them. QSH's tomb has not been excavated, and although I have a running joke about cracking it open--mercury vapors be damned--none of the riches inside will ever enchant me as much as the chance to see the face of a person who lived during this time.
Notes under the cut:
#1
the title Qin Shi Huangdi means "First Emperor of Qin" and was given to QSH by later historians. He actually called himself the Shi Huangdi, "First Emperor", and that is the title I've gone with here.
in English the other kingdoms are translated as "states" (i guess to avoid confusion?) but in chinese they are very much kingdoms.
The terracotta warriors used thousands of craftsmen, many of whom were slaves from conquered kingdoms. From a storytelling perspective I thought it would be more streamlined if there were two main artisans who reported directly to QSH.
QSH's clothes are based on the overly complicated courtly regalia. which has 12 symbols that only the emperor is allowed to wear
Notice how this hat is ROUND at the front??? Well I CERTAINLY DIDN'T. HAD TO REDRAW IT!!!!!
the stripped shirt is based on this Chu woman figurine. Clothes were fairly unisex during this time and I thought it was a nice fit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#2
Paperwork: writing was done on books made of bamboo slips. Anecdotally, QSH had an impressive work ethic and would read 100 bills every night.
Bronze Goose lamp: ok this is actually a Han dynasty lamp pls forgive me. I saw this bad boy at the xi'an history museum and it's bewitched me body and soul. The goose neck is hollow and connects to a reservoir of water in the belly, which minimizes smoke and cools the lamp.
QSH is remembered as a brutal tyrant and brilliant statesman, but I wanted to present a more human version of him here. Bored, tired and drowning in work he refuses to delegate. His new empire is balanced as precariously as everything else on his desk.
#3
The attendants standing behind him are holding little wood tablets called hu for taking notes. Their brushes are tucked into their hats/hair, inspired by Han dynasty custom. (You'll see me using Han stuff a lot. Their cultures were very similar to Qin, since it was only a few hundred years apart).
So I had a slight breakdown trying to find the correct hats for the eunuchs, and ended up redrawing everything the night I was due to publish. Closest thing I could come up with was a reference to a round-style Han Dynasty hat which evolved into this square Jin hat. Yes, this is a cry for help .
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#4
the wheeled platform is 100% made up, I tried to come up with a plausible way of getting a bunch of figurines into the palace.
#5 & #6
Painted terracotta soldier
How were the terracotta warriors made
The General: Fun fact, I got to see this guy in person!
#7
The Epic Wide Shot was inspired by some Tang Dynasty terracotta figures I saw at the xi'an museum!
#8
THIS KNEELING ARCHER. ARGGGGG. He use to be my favourite guy. I even went into the pit and drew him IN PERSON. the archers inexplicably have their hair buns on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE HEAD. So because of him, I DREW ALL THE HAIR BUNS WRONG!!!! REDRAW!!!! PAIN AND SUFFERING!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
#10
Qin was famous for it's very long, thin swords. They were more useful as status symbols than actual weapons, as QSH knows from personal experience…
#11
QSH'S Tomb hasn't been excavated yet, but high levels of mercury have been detected in the soil, making the historical accounts of quite plausible.

Being a cheerleader comes with many perks rather they be good or bad. The worst was the unwanted attention it drew from random people.
Before the game you met up with Ony! In your cheer skirt that went just past your ass, sleeveless short cheer shirt with matching red and black bow on her high ponytail. “Mama you look so good.” He looks you up and down as you come around the corner. You give him a twirl showing off your frilly cheer skirt. “Well thank you. You look handsome yourself.” You smile walking up to him and putting your hands and his lower stomach admiring how he looks in his basketball jersey. He smiles down at you and kisses your glossy lips it smearing on his lips. You push his face away playfully agitated at him for messing up your lipgloss that you just applied. “Why would you do that I just fixed it.” “I’m sorry mama they just look so juicy. You know how I feel about your lips.” He holds your waist getting ready to lean in for another one but before that one of his team mates call for him. Them getting ready to go onto the court for warm-ups. Hearing this your hurriedly kiss his cheeks and run away to get to your team yelling back to him “I’ll see you after the game!! Good luck!!”.
After brining them out with you being the first in line and Pom Pom’s raised in the air you take the sidelines starting to cheer not noticing a certain person in the stands looking you up. A certain basketball player takes notice quickly feeling something agitating him in the back of his mind forcing him to look into that direction and follow the dudes eyes landing on you. It didn’t affect him that much until he heard somebody calling you out your name from the stands. “At yo ma shake that shit fo me” That same nigga that was staring you up and down says while pointing at you and dapping up his friends sitting next to him. Him being very loud you herd this and looked at him briefly before blushing out of embarrassment and annoyance.
Now Ony didn’t take this well his teammates seeing his anger cross his face and his start pulling up his shorts the grab him his coach pulling him out the game temporarily. You glance at him using your eyes to tell him to calm down. He meets your eyes nodding your way as his coach lectures him on staying in the game. Eventually they put him back in, his team winning the game after him shooting straight 3’s for the rest of the game.
After the game you rush over to him after you coach talks to your team hugging him and kissing him. “Congrats!! I’m so proud of you papa!!” He wraps his arms around your waist hugging you. “I see you was doing yo shit over there.” “I try.” He looks over your shoulder while you’re talking seeing the nigga that cat called you walking towards y’all. He pushes you behind him standing tall and looking him up and down. “What’s up wit chu bro?” He mean mugs him holding your hand as you stand behind him wondering what going on you step from behind him still holding his hand. “Nun I was looking for shorty next to you.” That random nigga says looking you up and down and licking his lips. “Nigga you ain’t see me just kiss her? She my girl. So imma ask you again. Whatchu want nigga?” “I just said yo girl. I’m way better than you bum ass nigga.” At this Ony gets mad taking his hind out of yours and pushing you behind him and clenching his fist and stepping up to him “who you callin a bum? Don’t get fucked up over here lil nigga.” The other dude stepped up to “the fuck you gon do?” Next thing you know Ony punches him dead in his face knocking him dead off his feet. Him not stopping he continues until some of his teammates and a few coaches come over separating them both.
During this whole ordeal you were shocked, he has never acted physically agonist somebody in front of you so naturally you didn’t know what to do but back away and try to to get hit while they were fighting. Snapping out of your face you drag Ony away from everyone back near the locker rooms. “Chill out! Relax!” He ignores you walking back and forth still mad as hell and punching his hand. “He lucky they were there or on my momma I would’ve killed that nigga for real.” “Yo relax he not even in here no mo.” You walk up to him not touching him but standing in his line of view, him finally meeting you eyes and his tense body relaxing at seeing your worried expression. “I’m sorry I just could let him keep talking. He know exactly what he was doin I can’t let shit like that slide ma.” “I understand that but this ain’t the place, you know this so your career. What if the coaches kick you off Ony?” “They won’t. They need me don’t worry about that. Are you okay.” He grabs your face crying for any marks or to see if you got hit because you were so close to the fight. “I should be asking you that question.” You push his hands away grabbing his face and inspecting it only seeing a busted lip from one good hit, you touch it gently and he winces. “I’m sorry.” “You good.” “We need to go see the athletic trainer for this. It’s bleeding.” “I’m fine ma really I swear.” You take his hand. “Hell no. Let’s go or imma tell yo momma.” “Ight ight you got it let’s go.”

Anything for my girls
Tumblr media
Pairing: Defender Strange x Fem!Reader
Summary: Stephen is more than willing to satisfy his wife's cravings when Y/N wakes up in the middle of the night due to her restless baby.
Tumblr media
Despite the fact that everyone has triggers, including you and Stephen, you both had a calm demeanor. This didn't exactly justify having a son or daughter that was so agitated.
When you suddenly opened your eyes, your hands went to cover the pretty noticeable bump that had grown over the course of the previous months. You carefully sat up as you stroked your stomach. There weren't many things that might bother you, but it seems that one of them was your unborn child, who felt it would be a good idea to start learning to swim inside your womb.
Stephen was sleeping soundly next to you, but you couldn't hold it against him. He had recently finished a mission, and it was obvious that he was worn out. You gently squeezed the sorcerer's shoulder while grinning as you stretched out to him. Stephen inhaled deeply as his sleep deepened. A kick started you anew just as you were about to lay down again.
“Alright, alright.” Finally releasing his or her father, you returned to massage your belly as your voice grew drowsy. "You'll bring us excitement, won't you?"
This night is going to be quite long.
Just as you were trying to get into a comfortable position, a sudden craving struck. But you were aware that you were out of peanut butter. You were on the verge of tears just thinking about it. Stupid hormones.
“Y/N?”
You looked at him after your shoulders tensed at your own name. Stephen turned to face you and lifted his head just enough to see you.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, before getting up and putting his hands on yours.
The sorcerer laid his head on your shoulders and touched your stomach while you stiffled a sob and said, "Nothing." As he felt your bundle of joy kicking, he smiled a little.
“It’s not nothing. Tell me what’s wrong, darling. Is there a problem with the baby?” He seemed worried, and you could hear it, but you instantly sought to reassure him that everything is well.
“It's stupid. I only wanted peanut butter, but then I remembered we had run out. I'm not exactly sure why I started crying.” Stephen nodded before giving you a kiss right above your shoulder blade and putting his arm over your back to pull you in.
“It’s not stupid.“ he said as he kissed your hair “Do you want to me go buy some?”
“You don’t have to. It’s 5 in the morning. I’m sure you’re exhausted.” He squeezed you a little tigther in his arms.
“I’m not that tired. And besides.. if my girls are demanding peanut butter, they’ll get it.” You gave a faint chuckle before kissing his cheek.
"You are aware that you don’t need to. We can get it later.” You spoke as you guided his hand, allowing him to feel the baby move as she or he became more calmer.
“Yeah. Though I want to.” He replied, then reached for the base of your chin and kissed you softly.
Stephen climbed out of bed as soon as you pulled away and swiftly snapped his fingers to change out of his pajamas into more casual attire.
“I just noticed that you said "girls." You gave him a dreamy smile as he picked up a tie from the bedside table.
"I think it's a girl," A broad smile spread across his face as he gently shrugged his shoulders.
“Don't be so sure," You teased him as you saw the man in front of you bunning his hair. How did you manage to be so blessed to have a husband like him, let alone have a child with him?
"Well, the appointment is in a week, and trust me, it's going to be a girl," the sorcerer replied. He seemed rather confident of his guess.
“Did you perform a magic spell or something to determine the gender of our baby?” When he heard you say "our," his heart skipped a beat. The idea that he will actually become a father still seems surreal.
“Of course not.” He scoffed slightly “I doubt that such a spell even exists.” He continued while also retrieving his sling ring.
As Stephen drew nearer to you once more, you chuckled a little. "Try to rest a little bit," he said as he tenderly kissed your forehead.
“Tell your baby that.” He leaned out and touched your bumb with both hands, making you smile.
He whispered as he softly kissed your stomach, "Let your mother sleep."
Your heart fluttered as you tried not to melt right there.
“Stephen?” You asked as you looked at the sorcerer standing up
“Hm?” He looked at you with loving eyes
“Can you buy some cucumbers too?”
“Y/N..” His voice sounded like a mixture of warning and disgust, but you continued to look at him with those eyes he loved so much and he let out a sigh of defeat.
“Thank you” smiling you watched as the ex-doctor made a portal and disappear through it.

Hi Chu. Not sure if request are still open but I'd like to request a Nakagoshi story. Where he and he girlfriend are being cute and going on a date. Please and thank you! ♡
It is real | Nakagoshi x reader
a/n: Hello, I’m happy to see you on my request box 🥰 I hope you like it 💖
Sorry for the grammer or spelling mistakes.English is not my main language so...
Thank you and love you 🥰
Warnings: mention of fights but mostly fluffy
Tumblr media
It was weird, really weird. Going on a date with the person you've been thinking about killing each other for months? This was truly crazy.
How did it start? How did you realize your feelings? Neither of you knew. But the one thing you were sure of was that your feelings were real.
You glanced around again, making sure no one you knew was around. He was a little late. Actually, you came early because you were excited, but you were still worried.
Had he given up? Did he just make fun of you? Why wasn't he coming?
You were sure your face fell. You wiped your sweaty hand on your jean shorts and sighed. Were you sure about this?
While you were lost in your thoughts, you were startled by a hand touching your shoulder. When you turned around, you looked at him in surprise when you saw the boy smiling shyly at you. No, you weren't surprised that he was here, you were surprised by his bursting lip.
“Nakagoshi? What happened ?"
The young boy smiled and nodded, bowed slightly
“Sorry I'm late-“
“Don't be ridiculous,” you corrected your tone when you realized you sounded panicked. "What happened ? Did you fight?”
A stupid smile appeared on Nakagoshi's face. Why was he smiling? What was funny?
Actually there was nothing funny about it. But he loved that you worried about him.
“Just some shitty guys, no worries-“
He panicked when you raised one eyebrow and looked at him.
“Really, it doesn't even hurt. Should we go now?
You sighed and took a clean tissue out of your pocket and handed it to him.
“At least wipe your lip, it's still bleeding.”
You rolled your eyes as he nodded and took the tissue from your hand. You were angry that he was fighting even on the way here, but that was your life. Oya students can not stay away from the fight. You were like this too, but today you wanted to be away from all this.
You were the same age as Nakagoshi. You came to this school the same year as Nakaoka, and when you arrived, inter-factional conflicts were very famous.
While you suddenly found yourself next to Yasushi, Nakagoshi was one of the people you disliked the most. Until he saved your life last month.
You had had feelings for him for a short time, but the situation was different for him. He never wanted to be your enemy. On the contrary, he always wanted you to be by his side. But things didn't go as he expected.
Nakagoshi was a quiet person. But it was clear that he was confident in these matters. He probably didn't expect you to reject him when all the girls were chasing after him.
But it wasn't his looks or his strength that drew you to him. You loved his calm character. He was mature and thoughtful. He was also a sweet person.
While he was wiping the blood off his face, you unintentionally smiled with what was going through your mind. When Nakagoshi turned his head back to you, he looked at the small smile you had on your face and smiled.
“Your smile… It really suits you very well.”
He laughed when you looked at him in surprise.
“You know I like you y/n… Although I like your confident expression when you fight, smiling looks good on you.”
Your cheeks were usually red from running. But you were so embarrassed right now that you didn't even know what to say. Could a man really do this to you?
Nakagoshi slowly extended his hand.
“Can we go now?”
You looked at him. His smile was warm. You were sure his hands were warm too. You could see his smile grow as you took his hand.
Maybe enemies to lovers were real...

Castles in the Sky by Shadaras @shadaras
Fandom: 全职高手 | The King's Avatar
Rating: General Audiences
Category: Gen
Relationships: Chu Yunxiu/Ye Xiu
Words: 36 613
Here are two truths and a lie: Chu Yunxiu is Misty Rain’s captain. Chu Yunxiu is dating Ye Qiu. Chu Yunxiu is happy to have the Shu twins on her team. Of course, a lie can become true if you believe in it enough… (A Chu Yunxiu character study.)
About the book:
FONTS: Alegreya [Google Fonts], Raleway [Google Fonts], Catchy Mager [purchased from MyFonts], Segoe UI Emoji
IMAGES: Clouds from Rawpixel (ID: 9581058); Misty Rain logo from The King's Avatar Wiki (stretched slightly horizontally and traced)
MATERIALS: Domtar Earthchoice multipurpose copy paper, cream, 11"x17" cut in half to form short-grained letter size paper; Recollections' Gilded Ink paper pad; Cialux bookcloth, black; heat transfer foil, gold; 2mm binder board; waxed linen thread, 30/3 size; wheat paste (this time I used 1:4 flour to water ratio, and heated until conditioner-like consistency. An improvement over last attempt.)
PROGRAMS USED: typeset in LibreOffice Writer; title page mocked-up in Procreate then designed in GIMP; imposed with Renegade's Community Imposer.
I spied this fic towards the top of the kudos and kept it in the back of my mind while trawling for more HanYe fics. Thought, well it's gotta be there for a reason so should be good! ooh look aroace queerplatonic relationship 👀👀 Definitely bumping up to top of Read Next!
The amazing thing I've found about The King's Avatar is that the CP possibilities are endless! The characters are both friends and rivals, there's respect and history and it all mixes and clashes creating more possibilities and chemistries than I've ever seen in a fandom before. The fact that AllYe is so popular (and not just in an NSFW way) is testament to it, and also, in part, what drew me to this fic. Asexual representation is scant, aromantic even more so — especially in fandom (in my experience of it at least).
If I were to add a tag to describe Castles in the Sky it would be 'heartwarming'. Shadaras' writing and characterization is wonderful, and I really enjoyed the both the story and the aroace representation. They took a character with relatively little content (in comparison to others in fandom. I have not read the source material) and gave her a voice, dreams, and made me really care about her. I was touched, and after finishing it I jumped to my laptop and set about turning it into a physical book.
So, onto the details.
The thing that stuck out and stayed with me the most about the story was the aroace aspect (Shadaras fed my smol aroace heart so well), so that's what I focused on design-wise.
The title page features a large black ring, referencing the black ring worn usually on the middle finger of the right hand as a symbol of asexuality. The colours of the asexual pride flag are also represented: the text is purple; the clouds colour the page in shades of white and grey; and the ring is black. For the endpapers/cover backing I chose paper that mixes green, purple, and blue: green for the aromantic pride flag; purple for the ace. I also found the green-blue mix of colours to be rather fitting, inspired by the description of Misty Rain's HQ with the "cool blues and greens of Misty Rain's walls" (chapter 5: Transformations). While I personally find CYX's relationship with YX significant, her relationship with her team is just as important.
When choosing which cover each endpaper goes on, I thought about how the story begins with CYX and YX's relationship, and about how after it's established we see her team and it's future at the forefront of her mind. Following that line of thought I put the paper with more purple on the front cover (purple for aroace CYX), and the more green-blue paper on the back (Misty Rain's colours).
The process of foiling the cover took me 3 hours (the length of the movie RRR — good movie actually, would recommend. Which is surprising because I usually find Oscar movies rather boring). The foiling was done with a heat pen. Three hours is not the norm: first, I had the foil backwards and foiled my template instead of the cover; then, my power banks kept dying, so I had to take charging breaks, and I also went over everything again just to make sure that I didn't miss a spot; and of course I was also watching a movie while working, so that ate up some time too.
I had initially planned to bind it as a casebound book, but I didn't have enough time to do it (I was about to go on vacation and wanted to read the book in my downtime). Instead, I did a Coptic binding. The covers were pulled from the press and foiled leaving me 5 hours of sleep to spare.
I went simple on the outer covers to contrast the fun paper on the inside of the covers. I used black Cialux bookcloth instead of my green-blue 'petrol' Iris bookcloth for the contrast, and because it picks up the black from the title page. The text foiled onto the cover is a simple sans serif (Raleway, the same as used inside), and the image is Misty Rain's logo from the donghua. (Image came from The King's Avatar Wiki. It was stretched slightly horizontally because it seemed a bit squished compared to other versions seen on Google, and then traced). Using the colourful paper inside was a practical choice: I couldn't get two covers out of one sheet of paper, but one sheet would do the inner covers with some material leftover.
The sewing and construction of the book was done while camping — I'd packed up what I needed and brought it with me: the signatures (folded and punched); the finished covers; thread; a needle; and an awl. As for the actual sewing, it's supposed to be Coptic but don't look too closely. This was the second time I've tried Coptic stitching and I didn't have any instructions with me. (My first Coptic binding was a thin 2-signature notebook I did a few weeks ago. It was for taking notes at the event I was at, Pennsic War 50).
Book is primarily set in Alegreya. It's currently my favourite body font, and has a matching sans serif family. The fonts used in the title page are Raleway and Catchy Mager. Raleway is also used for titles, headings, etc. Segoe UI Emoji was used for any emojis that cropped up throughout the text (Pretty sure they're the same emojis as seen while reading on my phone and laptop). Catchy Mager was purchased from MyFont. (The first and only font I have ever bought, but I saw it used in a fic's title art and fell in love.)
Lastly, onto The Comedy of Errors, or: When-You-Finally-See-All-the-Typos-and-Mistakes-Once-You're-Done-and-Can-Only-Laugh-While-You-Cry-Inside.
Appendix's footer says 'Epilogue', so I must have missed something with the paragraph style for the Appendix heading.
Forgot about using Segoe UI Emoji font and did not include it in the About the Book.
Missed fixing the archive info for gnomen in the Author's Notes — the copy/paste of metadata into Notebook to remove formatting also removed the commas and spaces between tags.
Because I hadn't planned cover materials/design before printing, there isn't a section for that in the About the Book. Also the reason why the artwork on the cover is not credited in it, as I had not planned to use it.

What's up Mos, its me, creature, back with another interview, this time its lemon related
What music (genres and/or specific artists) do the characters like?
Does anyone in funkytown have unique clothing/jewelry?
Who is Garrett talking to in hip hop cherry pop?
What song have you had the most fun coming up with a story for?
What was the first song you came up with a story for?
What song has been the hardest to fit into the storyline?
What arc has been the most enjoyable to write so far?
What are some LD songs you want more people to listen to?
What items are baby lem not trusted with?
What are some items unique to funkytown?
If you could physically eat lemon demon songs what ones would you eat and why?
ironically a large amount of the cast don't really listen to music/have strong opinions on it, LD himself is one of the few denizens to have specific tastes (TMBG, Oingo Boingo, Talking Heads, Faith No More, DEVO, etc etc you know the pipeline). another character with defined music taste is indie cindy who likes lo-fi (obviously), hyper pop, and other scenecore genes.
funkytown is in a constant state of returning to a lack of identity, so as of right now most culture is just taken from human culture, but it definitely gets more abstract the longer something doesn't get interfered with.
zordechai the magnificent (wizard from the view-monster promo) has a side gig on running an ice cream shop, which is loosely based on the film. garrett is aware of zordechai's true identity during the song, hence why he's there to begin with.
lifetime achievement award and completely because the animation in my head is killer.
mold en mono is the reason the ncu exists beyond a simple concept. it was the first time I stylized Neil as he is now, drew the office fruits, "baby" lemon, and lucifer (who fun fact did not used to be a fruit object head, he was a demon in similar appearance as diablo).
I definitely end up having the most issues with bonus tracks (I don't think I used hardly any from damn skippy besides the instrumentals), but those are kinda an outlier since they aren't my focus to begin with. ones I particularly struggle(d) with are: chu chu rocket (got removed entirely since it's a cover), movie night, fire motif, hazel's modus operandi, bill watterson, consumer whore, between you and me, flamingo legs, everybody loves raymond, goosebumps (entirely because I don't read goosebumps), and ancient aliens (it's on its 3rd or 4th rewrite). this does NOT mean I don't like the songs it's just hard to write for them.
dinosaurchestra was complete smooth sailing and honestly my favorite arc, it's a nice change of pace from how serious things become and have been.
oh boy oh boy, listen to these: toy food, bottom line, funkytown (obviously), mold en mono (obviously), matches and nails, pineapple, behold the future, the machine with live backing, creepy, I know your name (crappy 4 track version), and happiest shit ever (some of the links might be broken/link to the wrong somgs my apollo cheese
lemon demon is actually a horrible influence and does not care if he carries any sharp objects, in fact he encourages it. baby lemon is smart enough to not do something stupid but that doesn't make him immune to getting grounded. I think the car keys and anyone else's phone is what he's banned from having access to, but this will not stop him
like I mentioned before, funkytown has an inherent lack of it's own culture, so any unique items would probably be the god relics like the magic 8 ball and spirit phone.
the machine because mmmm sheet metal

I decided to change up the formula for this post because I am just so fuckin proud of how this turned out so a rant about my progress and work on this peice under the cut!
HAZAH! BEHOLD!
FOR I BRING ANOTHER DRAWING TODAY!
This one is called The new Starmaker!
It is based off of an AU/HC I had for a while based on the fact that the more Crowley (as an angel) began to question things during his conversation with Azi his wings turned darker and darker.
Sooo...
What if, days, hours maybe even moments before his fall...
His wings became a galaxy, an omen of hope for him that maybe he was doing the right thing questioning things before God struck him down.
But yeah! All in all, I am really proud of this one♥️, it took me half a day to finish in total because Pixel studios kept crashing on me. Fuck you Pixel Studios (I love you) and I actually did two vers of the BG on this one!
So let's look at it together!
So this is Ver. 1
Tumblr media
-Basically just a void behind him, I thought it added a nice contrast and people I showed it to seemed to like it but when I came back to look at it I dunno
-It just kinda felt bland, ya know?
-Like yes the colors do contrast nicely and the lil stars around him pop more but eeeeeh
-I dunno, I just didn't vibe with it with that bg
So I went to Ver. 2!
Tumblr media
-I liked this one a lot more than the original one because why yes, I am a sucker for color
-Oh and it gave me the chance to test out the brushes Pixel has to offer
-I really like the cross looking ones!
-Okay but back onto the art
-I just genuinely liked the vibe of this one more than the last
-(Also got to give my boi a halo so WAHOO)
-And I got to play around with a lot of details for the bg and stuff
So with that out of the way, as a closing touch I wanna just show off some of the bits I had the most fun with while doing this!
(Again, click for better quality)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So first off! I had so much fun with the bg gradients it isn't even funny. Like the lil pixels scratch my brain just right when I drew them.
Oh and the wings. They were REALLY fucking fun to draw.
Love em, need em, gonna do more of them soon ^^
But my most favourite part of this was ♥️Crowley's hair!♥️
Like I just zoned out for a good forty minutes, made the hair look like a galaxy on accident, had the program crash on me and erase all the progress and do it all over again.
But like.
In my not so humble opinion (because I have the ego the size of a blue whale, deal with it) I think it turned out TERRIFIC!
Like I just MWAH!
I love how I drew it!
===×=×==×
But yeah, that's pretty much it! Thank chu for reading my art rant and see you on the next post, baiii!

C279 of The Husky and his White Cat Shizun
(I'm pretty sure I posted this before?? Did Tumblr eat my post or is my memory failing me??)
>>> SPOILERS
>>> SPOILERS
>>> SPOILERS
In a hidden valley.
It was late at night, and fresh snow drifted down outside the hut.
These few days, Mo Ran’s wounds kept deteriorating. Even though Chu Wan Ning used the Flower Soul Sacrifice spell to heal him, there was little effect.
In the afternoon, he groggily woke once, but his consciousness was vague. His eyes barely open, he saw Chu Wan Ning and cried, he apologized, then begged him not to leave, his words were jumbled and nonsensical, and at the end he simply wept, unable to speak.
He kept dreaming, constantly travelling through those years of unease.
One moment, he thought he had just been picked up by Xue Zhengyong, the other, he thought he were during those five years he had lost Chu Wan Ning.
The only thing he couldn’t dream of, were those memories that the Eight-Suffering-Hatred Flower had stolen from him. He couldn’t dream of all his sacrifices, of all his efforts at protection, of all his innocence.
“Mo Ran……” Carrying a bowl of freshly cooked congee, Chu Wan Ning came to his bedside.
The congee was just barely edible, and was made with the culinary skill of his past life.
He sat by the bed, raised a hand, and stroked Mo Ran’s forehead.
It was extremely hot with fever.
He called him, but couldn’t awaken him no matter what. So Chu Wan Ning waited, waited until the congee slowly grew cool, then cold, he felt that this would not do and warmed the congee in a water bath.
He didn’t know when Mo Ran would wake, but if he did, he would immediately have something to eat.
“I made it with chicken stock, your favourite,” Chu Wan Ning spoke to him softly. The spells keeping Mo Ran’s heart beating had never stopped, but Mo Ran could not wake up.
If he could not wake up, that meant that the moment the spells stopped, perhaps he would never wake up.
It was impossible to save him.
But he couldn’t bear to give up, how could he bear to give up?
Mo Ran was still alive, he still drew breath no matter how weakly. These days, as Chu Wan Ning kept a constant vigil at his side, seeing that his chest still rose and fell, he felt that there was still hope, that there was still turning back.
It was still in time.
Chu Wan Ning even remembered, one night, Mo Ran groggily woke. At that time, there was no lamplight in the hut. Mo Ran stared dazedly at the lamp, his dried lips slightly moving.
He was very agitated and grabbed Mo Ran’s hand hurriedly, asking, “What are you trying to say?”
“...... Light……”
“What?”
“...... Light….. I want light……” Mo Ran gazed at the lamp that he was fated never to be able to light, and a tear fell, rolling down his face, “I want light…”
In that moment, it was like time had reversed.
It was as if they had gone back to that year, when Mo Ran had just come under his tutelage. Mo Ran fell ill, the skinny youth curled up on the bed dazedly.
When Chu Wan Ning visited him, he was sobbing quietly and calling for his mom.
Unsure of how to soothe him, Chu Wan Ning sat beside the youth’s bed, raised his hand hesitatingly, and stroked the youth’s forehead.
That skinny child began to cry, and said, “It’s dark…… It’s all dark…… Mom…… I want to go home……”
In the end, it was Chu Wan Ning who lit the lamp, the flickering fire casting light on the four walls, and on Chu Wan Ning’s face. As though he felt the warmth of the light, the feverish child opened a pair of black, damp eyes.
“Shizun……”
Chu Wan Ning made a sound of reply, and helped cover him with the blanket. His voice was low and sounded very gentle, “Mo Ran, the light is lit… Don’t be afraid.”
After so many years, a lone, small lamp was once again lit up, the warm yellow light spreading in the hut, driving away the endless darkness and chill.
Chu Wan Ning caressed his bangs, and called him hoarsely, “Mo Ran, the light is lit.”
He wanted to continue, don’t be afraid.
But his throat choked on a sob, and he couldn’t say it. Chu Wan Ning managed to hold his tears back, but he finally placed his forehead against Mo Ran’s, and begged in low, fragmented sobs, “...... The light is lit, wake up, please?”
“Answer me, please…...”
The lamp kept burning, the flame going from clear and bright, until the oil was exhausted.
Afterwards, the sky lit up, white light flooding in from the windows, but Mo Ran still did not open his eyes. Those times when that deeply sleeping youth could be awoken with a single lamp, were over.
There was no turning back.
Another three nights passed.
These days Chu Wan Ning kept vigil by his bedside everyday, caring for him, accompanying him, giving him spiritual energy, and also telling him about those things which he had slowly forgotten.
This evening, the snow had stopped and the sun was red outside their window, the remaining sunlight scattering over the land. A pair of squirrels bounded on a snow-laden branch as they passed, and a flurry of glittering white flew, then fell.
This light fell on the man lying on the bed, the evening light adding some color to his sickly white complexion. Under his thin eyelids, his eyes moved slightly-- Then, he gradually opened his eyes.
After several days of heavy illness, Mo Ran finally woke.
He opened his eyes, his gaze dazed and empty, until he saw Chu Wan Ning sprawled on the side of his bed in shallow, exhausted slumber.
Mo Ran whispered hoarsely, in a daze, “Shizun……”
He lay under the sheets, his consciousness slowly coming back to himself, slowly, he vaguely remembered while he was drifting in and out of sleep, those things Chu Wan Ning repeatedly told him about.
That cup of wine on Mid-Autumn’s, the crabapple handkerchief..…. And that year in the Red Lotus Pavilion, the Eight-Suffering-Hatred flower that he had chosen to take in his place.
Was it a dream?
Was it only that he yearned for salvation too much, that’s why he dreamt that Chu Wan Ning had told him those stories; was it only that he longed to turn back too much, that’s why he dreamt that Chu Wan Ning was willing to forgive him, was willing to give him forgiveness.
He slanted his face and reached out one hand, wanting to touch that man sleeping deeply by his pillow. But his fingertips had yet to touch him, before they retracted.
He was afraid that once he touched him, the dream would shatter.
He was still in the Tianyin Pavilion, he was still kneeling on the Stage of Guilt, below him were the masses of observers. He was kneeling alone in front of thousands, those people in the end turning to a sea of blurred faces in his eyes, turning into those vengeful souls that had died under his hand, laughing and screaming for his life.
Nobody wanted him, nobody saved him.
It was all his shamelessness, it was all his wild ambition, it was him going crazy, it was him hallucinating that Chu Wan Ning had come--- It was him, in the violent torture of having his heart dug out, he had hallucinated the last fire in the world.
It was all false.
There was never anyone who broke his chains, there was never anyone who embraced him, there was never anyone who rode the wind to him, there was never anyone who brought him home.
His eyelashes trembled, tears formed in his eyes. He stared at Chu Wan Ning’s sleeping face, he didn’t dare to blink, until his eyes finally blurred, until his tears finally fell.
Chu Wan Ning’s reflection shattered into a thousand million shining splinters, and he looked upon his good dream again.
The dream, was still there.
Mo Ran lay weakly on the bed, his eyelashes wet, his throat contracting, tears falling endlessly from the corners of his eyes…… His heart hurt greatly, the blood was oozing outwards without stopping. Afraid that he would wake Chu Wan Ning who had fallen asleep for a moment, he bit his lip as he wept soundlessly.
He had woken, but he knew his own body. He knew that this was only temporary, that it was just a final burst of life.
It was also the last mercy the heavens had given him.
He, Mo Wei Yu, had lived in anxiety for most of his life, had lived in insanity for a lifetime. His hands covered in blood, unable to escape from his reputation, only at the last was he finally convicted. Hence he felt very dazed, even a little uneasy.
He didn’t know whether this was fortune or misfortune.
It was misfortunate, that he had lived both his lives in absurdity.
It was fortunate, that the remainder of his days, could finally be spent in peace.
But how many days did he have left? One day? Two?
This was a peace he had exchanged for with his life.
--- Peaceful days, which he had never had before.
Eventually he heard Chu Wan Ning stir, and he hurriedly wiped his tears away, not wanting to let Shizun see that he was crying.
Mo Ran turned his head, watching the lashes of the person beside his bed quiver, watching those narrow eyes ease open, watching himself be reflected in those eyes.
Outside, the sky turned dark.
He heard Chu Wan Ning lightly call him in a slightly hoarse voice, “Mo…… Ran?”
That sound was low and gentle and slow, like a spring bud breaking through the soil, like the thawing of a frozen river, like tendrils of warm steam rising from a heated jar of wine, warming one’s heart. It was a heavenly music that he would never forget in this life. So Mo Ran was silent for a while, then he smiled.
“Shizun, I’ve woken.”
The night was clear, the life ahead was long.
That night, in the hidden valley, Mo Ran finally experienced the most carefree, most gentle time of both his lifetimes. He woke, and he could see the overjoyed surprise and sorrow in Chu Wan Ning’s eyes. He woke, lying on the bed, he let Chu Wan Ning do whatever he wanted, say whatever he wanted, he let Chu Wan Ning tell him about this and that incident and misunderstanding.
To him, it was not important.
He just wanted to hold on a little longer, just a little longer.
“Let me see your wound again.”
“Nah.” Mo Ran smiled as he held Chu Wan Ning’s hand, carrying it to his lips for a light kiss. “I’m fine now.”
After rejecting a few times, Chu Wan Ning gazed at him, then seemed to suddenly understand something, his face going pale little by little.
Mo Ran forced himself to stay at ease as he gently repeated, “I’m really fine now.”
Chu Wan Ning didn’t reply, after a while, he stood up and walked over to the stove. The firewood in it was gradually burning out, he turned his back to Mo Ran as he slowly agitated the wood.
The fire rose and the hut became warm again, but Chu Wan Ning didn’t turn his head back, using the poker to continue stirring the wood which no longer needed stirring.
“Congee……”
At last, his voice was hoarse as he said.
“I kept the congee warm for you, waiting for you to eat it after waking up.”
Mo Ran was silent for a moment before he lowered his eyelids and laughed. “...... I haven’t had Wan Ning’s congee in a long time, after you left in my last life, I’ve never had it again.”
“I didn’t make it well.” Chu Wan Ning said, “I’m still not good at it, probably…… It’s only barely palatable……” His voice trembled a little at the end, as though he could no longer continue talking.
He paused for a long while before slowly saying, “I’ll fill a bowl for you.”
Mo Ran replied, “...... Okay.”
It was very warm in the hut, as the night deepened, snow began drifting down.
Mo Ran carried his bowl of congee, carefully eating it. Every few mouthfuls, he would look at Chu Wan Ning, then lower his head to continue eating, then look back up at Chu Wan Ning.
Chu Wan Ning asked, “What’s wrong? Do you feel discomfort anywhere?”
“No,” Mo Ran replied quietly, “I just want to look at you more.”
“......” Chu Wan Ning didn’t say a word, and used his silver dagger to carve the fish roasting over the stove. The river fish was meltingly tender, but there were still spines in it, he removed all the spines and separated the snow-white fish meat meticulously.
In the past when he ate, Mo Ran always took care of him.
Now, the reverse was also true.
He handed the cut fish to Mo Ran, “Eat it while it’s hot.”
Mo Ran obediently ate it.
When this man was lying on the bed covered by the blanket, he did not seem so tall. The orange firelight illuminated his face, it was very youthful.
At this time, Chu Wan Ning suddenly realized. Truthfully, whether it was Taxian-jun, or Grandmaster Mo, they were both younger than himself by an entire decade.
Yet, they had endured so much hardship.
Mo Ran finished his congee, but picked up the plumpest piece of fish meat and was about to hand it to Chu Wan Ning, but stopped. “Shizun, what’s wrong?”
Chu Wan Ning lowered his head, the rim of his eyes slightly red. He steadied his emotions before unemotionally saying, “It’s nothing, it’s just a little cold.”
Afraid that if he sat here he would be less and less able to control himself, he got up. “I’m going to patrol the surroundings, after you finish eating, hurry and go rest. When your wounds are better, I will bring you back to the Peak of Life and Death.”
They both knew that this apparent recovery was nothing more than a temporary burst of life, that there weren’t many days left.
Yet, they spoke of tomorrow, of the future. As though they wanted to cram the next few decades into this one night, as though they wanted to spend all their future days in this one snowy night.
After Chu Wan Ning left, Mo Ran sat in front of the stove for a while before loosening his clothes and lowering his head to look at the ugly wound.
He sat there blankly for a while, emptily.
The snow outside fell more and more heavily, Mo Ran didn’t know when he would suddenly deteriorate, nor when his life would come to its end. He sprawled beside the bed and watched the snow drifting outside, the whistle of the wind in his ears, and suddenly felt like his life was like this harried wind, everything in his past flowing away.
Actually no matter whether it was his past life, or this life, there were always such intelligent people scheming and calculating.
Whether it was Shizun, or Shimei, one of them wanted to protect him, the other wanted to harm him, but they all had their own calculations. Even though through some twist in fate they may not have succeeded, but they all had their long-term schemes.
Mo Ran wasn’t like them, he was the sort of canine that was extremely stupid, and didn’t have any such roundabout thoughts. He didn’t know how to plan each step, or how to play a beautiful game of chess. He only knew how to steadfastly protect the one he loves, no matter whether he were grievously wounded to the bone, he would still obstinately stand in front of that person, and never leave.
Said in a nice way, this sort of person is brave.
Said in a bad way, this sort of person, is stupid.
This extremely stupid person lay by the window, his lashes quivering, and suddenly saw a familiar figure standing under a distant plum tree.
Chu Wan Ning didn’t go to patrol, this was only his excuse.
The snow was too heavy and he was standing too far away for Mo Ran to clearly see any emotion on his face, only his blurred silhouette. He stood under the blanket of falling snow, unmoving.
What was he thinking about?
Was he cold?
He……
“Shizun.”
Chu Wan Ning was in a daze when he turned his head back and saw, in the dark night, in the snow, that black-clothed youth wrapped in the blanket. He had, without him realizing, come up behind him.
Chu Wan Ning startled and immediately said, “Why are you out here? What did you come here for? Hurry up and---”
He hadn’t managed to say, “go back”, when a warmth enveloped him.
Mo Ran raised the blanket over them, darkness and warmth descended, and he enveloped Chu Wan Ning into the blanket.
The two of them stood under the old plum tree, standing inside that thick, disused blanket which smelled a little musty no matter how long it was sunned. No matter how heavy the snow was, or how the wind howled, it had nothing to do with them.
Mo Ran embraced him inside this warmth and pitch darkness. “Don’t think about it anymore, even though I don’t remember any of those things Shizun told me about, but……”
He paused, and kissed Chu Wan Ning’s forehead, then continued in a small voice, “But if I had to go back and go through it again, I would still have done the same.”
“......”
“Besides,” he felt for and caught Chu Wan Ning’s frozen hands in his own, “Shizun doesn’t have to feel bad. Actually, I feel that what Shimei said was correct, the Eight-Suffering-Hatred Flower merely amplified and realized those unspeakable thoughts and desires in my heart.”
Their fingers entwined.
Mo Ran touched his forehead to his. “I originally had a lot of hatred in my heart, it’s just that I didn’t vent them when I was young. Massacring the Rufeng Sect…… I did think of it. Conquering the world, I also thought of it. It’s pretty funny, when I was five or six and hiding inside a broken room, I did fantasize about one day being all-powerful. These are all my own desires, nobody forced them on me.”
He stroked Chu Wan Ning’s face. “So, if the one who had been parasitized at the time had been Shizun, perhaps you wouldn’t have become an evil tyrant like me. And you wouldn’t have been used, or tried by the Tianyin Pavilion.” He laughed, a nasal tone to it, and nuzzled his forehead against his comfortingly. “I didn’t substitute you, so don’t think about it anymore, come back to the house and sleep.”
The bed was very narrow, Mo Ran cradled him in his arms.
The moment that had to come would always come closer and closer, there was no escaping.
Mo Ran’s consciousness began to become blurred and scattered again, the twisting pain in his heart was greater than it had ever been before. This final burst of life would not last too long, when Mom died it was like this as well, he knew that he didn’t have much time left.
He lowered his thick lashes, the stove’s fire at this time had already dimmed. That hazy yellow light illuminated his youthful, handsome face, and made it seem extraordinarily gentle.
This stupid man, probably seeing the pain in Chu Wan Ning’s gaze, endured his own pain and asked with a smile, “Does it look good?”
Chu Wan Ning paused for a moment, as expected. “What?”
“The scar.” Mo Ran said, “A man should have a few scars, it’s more manly.”
Chu Wan Ning fell silent for a while, raised his hand, and slapped him neither lightly nor heavily. The slap was so light, it seemed more like a caress.
After a moment, he seemed to finally no longer be able to bear it, and buried himself in Mo Ran’s warm embrace. He didn’t make a sound, but his shoulders were trembling.
He knew.
Chu Wan Ning knew.
Mo Ran startled for a moment, embraced him, kissed his temple and hair.
“It’s so ugly, huh.” After going through crisis, he was far gentler than before, he lightly sighed. “It’s so ugly it made Wan Ning cry?”
If he had said Shizun, that would have still been alright.
With this ‘Wan Ning’, two lives crossed.
Chu Wan Ning hugged this man’s hot and alive body under the blanket--- He had always despised and been ashamed of expressing any of the strong emotions in his heart, but at this moment, he felt that all his tension and shame were so ridiculous, so absurd.
So in this close embrace, on this narrow bed, in this empty hut, on this long, snowy night.
Chu Wan Ning said softly, “How could it be ugly? Whether you have a scar, or whether you don’t, you’re still good-looking.”
Mo Ran startled.
He had never before heard Chu Wan Ning confess so directly.
Not even that day, when he confessed while riding on the flying sword.
There was only a little firelight left in the hut, it was very quiet, and very gentle.
A belated tranquility and gentleness.
[This is a play on Wan Ning’s name; Wan = late, Ning = tranquil]
“Whether it’s in the past life, or in this life, I like you, I am willing to be with you, even in the future.”
Mo Ran listened to him speak, sentence by sentence, he couldn’t see Chu Wan Ning’s face properly, but he could imagine Chu Wan Ning’s appearance right now.
Probably, his eyes were red, even his ear tips were red.
“In the past, I knew you were parasitized but I couldn’t show it, I could only hate you…… I can finally repay it to you.” Chu Wan Ning’s face were hot, the corners of his eyes damp, “I like you, I’m willing to marry you, I’m willing to split my soul for you, I’m willing to submit to you.”
When he heard “willing to submit to you”, Mo Ran’s heart seemed to be set aflame, his whole body trembled.
He was touched, and sorrowful, pained, and yet tender.
His voice was practically quivering, “Shizun…...”
Chu Wan Ning lifted his hand and stopped him. “Listen to me finish.”
But after waiting a long while, Chu Wan Ning was after all not good at saying sweet words. He thought of a lot, but none of them seemed appropriate, none of them seemed enough.
For a moment, Chu Wan Ning really wanted to say, “I’m sorry, I let you bear too much hardship.”
He also wanted to say, “In our past lives until I left, I couldn’t honestly tell you the truth, I mistook you.”
He also wanted to say, “That year in the Red Lotus Pavilion, thank you for being willing to protect me.”
He even wanted to throw away all his pride at this moment, he wanted to cry to Mo Ran, he wanted to hold this body which had yet to lose its warmth, and say, “Please don’t go, please don’t leave.”
But his throat constricted, his heart was filled with pain.
At last, Chu Wan Ning lowered his head and kissed Mo Ran’s wound. His lashes shivered, as he said.
“Mo Ran, no matter what happened in the past, or what will happen in the future, I will always be with you.”
Embarrassment permeated his entire body.
But his words were grave.
“For my whole life I will be Taxian-jun’s, as well as Grandmaster Mo’s.”
It was too hot.
Mo Ran only felt that this flame in his arms lit up again, in his eyes fireworks bloomed, all pain and sorrow seemed to fade away at this moment.
“Both lifetimes, belong to you.”
“No regret.”
Mo Ran slowly closed his wet eyes.
At the last, he kissed Chu Wan Ning’s lips, and sighed. “...... Shizun…… Thank you.”
The snow outside fell heavier and heavier, the night turned darker and darker.
They cradled each other in their arms, thinking, so, this is the remainder of life.
Mo Ran knew that his shirt was soaked with tears, but he didn’t say anything. He had wished from young that the remainder of his life would be filled with happiness, at this time, they should at least be happy.
He held Chu Wan Ning and said, “Sleep, Wan Ning. Sleep, I’ll hold you. You’re afraid of the cold, I’ll warm you.”
“When I’m well, we’ll go back to the Peak of Life and Death together, I want to seek forgiveness from my uncle and aunt, I want to squabble with Xue Meng again…… We still have many things to do……”
He stroked Chu Wan Ning’s hair, his voice was soft.
The copper-sweet taste of blood filled his mouth, and his breathing became more and more difficult.
But he was still smiling, his expression at this time was very tranquil. “Shizun, I will carry your umbrella for you for my whole life.”
In his arms, Chu Wan Ning wept soundlessly.
“Xia-shidi……” He teased him again, he obviously could barely speak anymore, but he still teased him, “Shi-ge...... will tell you a story…… I’ll tell you a story every night, from now on…… Don’t be disdainful that Shi-ge is clumsy with words and can only, tell the story of a cow eating grass……”
At the very, very last, Mo Ran lifted his eyelids, and looked at the thick snow piled on the window sill.
The land was covered in pure white.
“Wan Ning.” He embraced him, his heartbeat echoing in Chu Wan Ning’s ear, his voice quiet, “I will always love you.”
He slowly closed his eyes, his dimples were shallow.
His heartbeat slowed little by little, becoming more and more erratic.
Suddenly, a tree branch outside the window snapped from the weight of snow piled on it, making an abrupt disturbance. The snow and tree branch fell to the ground together with a loud noise.
After this disturbance, Chu Wan Ning, could no longer hear that heartbeat in his ear.
He waited for a bit, he waited for a moment, he waited for a while, he waited for a long time.
No more sound came.
No more sound…… There was nothing……
That was a terrifying silence that chilled one to the bone.
It was a terrifying silence that made one despair for his whole life.
Final.
Still.
Silence.
The room was filled with a deathly silence, so quiet it was frightening.
After very, very long, Chu Wan Ning still didn’t move. He still lay in Mo Ran’s embrace, still lay on the bed, he didn’t even get up or lift his head, nor did he speak.
His little disciple, his Mo-Shixiong, his Taxian-jun wanted him to sleep.
He said he would carry his umbrella for him for his whole life, tell him stories for his whole life, love him for the remainder of his life.
Mo Ran said, it’s cold outside, it’s snowing heavily.
I’ll warm you.
Chu Wan Ning curled in his arms, curled against that chest which had yet to lose its warmth, and stayed unmoving.
They had to set out on their journey home tomorrow.
He had to rest properly with Mo Ran.
Chu Wan Ning reached out his arm, and wrapped it around Mo Ran’s waist.
In the black night, he said, “Fine, I’ll listen to you and sleep. …… But, tomorrow, once I call you, you have to remember to wake up.”
He pressed against that chest which no longer rose and fell, his tears soaking and warming Mo Ran’s clothes.
“You’re not allowed to sleep in.”
Good night, Mo Ran.
This night is very long, but I’ll be with you, wishing you a good dream, with fire, with light.
And home.

Farewell to You, ch 10
A few weeks later, the party went off without a problem. Everyone gave Ash their congratulations. Even all of the population of Pallet Town, for representing them for so long. Ash thanked them all, clearing his throat. It was time for the toast. Everyone raised their glass, looking at their new world champion.
He smiled at the group as he addressed, "Thank you all for always believing in me. Even though I had made so many questionable moves."
Iris teased, "No kidding! You are such a kid!"
Everyone laughed. Cilan smiled at his girlfriend.
He pointed out, teasingly, "You're still younger than me!" Iris wanted to retort back but decided not to. She wanted to let Ash continue his speech. So that's what he did. He continued, "First, of course, I wanted to thank all of my Pokemon for always being there for me. The ones that are here. And the ones that aren't..." Ash got sad for a moment and cleared his throat. He added, "Anyways, I wanted to thank my Mom, all of my friends, and my rivals. For pushing me in the right direction."
Delia smiled at her son proudly. He had come a long way since he first got a Pikachu that wouldn't listen to a word he said. Now the two were very close friends. She thought, 'Oh David, if you could see your son now. You wouldn't see a very stubborn boy. He's become much more than that. He's become a man. And hopefully, Misty can join our family soon.'
As soon as Ash saw his mom start to cry, he thought of his dad. He had a feeling, and Delia did too, that David would've been very proud of his boy. He thought, sniffling, 'I knew that I'd make it someday. And who would've predicted my start, though...'
Gary saw that Ash was also on the verge of tears and decided to change the subject. He winked at Ash, "Someone has to Ashy-boy."
With that, Ash snapped out of his sadness. That's when everyone laughed again.
Ash took Misty's hand, "And most importantly, I want to thank you. For pulling out of the river out of those years ago and beyond."
Misty had tears in her eyes as she laced their fingers together, "Oh Ash..."
Ash gave her a kiss, one which Misty happily returned. Misty held him close. Ash did the same thing.
"Pi pika chu!" Pikachu said, giving off its victory pose.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
Dawn stated, "All's well that ends well."
Ash and Misty broke out their kiss, still holding hands. Togetic was happy for her Mama. Pikachu was happy for them too.
Lily teased, "So when's, like, the wedding?"
To that, Ash and Misty both blushed. "We're not getting married yet!"
Violet rolled her eyes jokingly, "Oh great, now they're gonna deny when they are tying the knot now."
Max laughed, "Just when we thought it was going to get easier."
Molly blinked, "It never gets easier. Does it?"
Max just shrugged.
May asked, "So what's the plan for the future?"
Drew flicked his hair out of his face, "It doesn't matter, as long as we all together."
...
Years later, Ash and Misty were finally married. They had a beautiful 3 year old named Trina. She had short raven hair and chocolate brown eyes. Misty was pregnant with their second child, a son. Paul and Ranee had a handsome 3 year old named Justin. He had short brown hair and green eyes.
Pikachu had settled down with Buneary. Dawn was married to Kenny but they decided against children. Drew and May had two children: Matthew and Katie. Matthew looked like his mother with brown hair and green eyes. Katie looked like her father with green hair and blue eyes. Matthew was 4 years old and Katie was 2 years old. Todd and Zoey were also married but they didn't have any children yet.
Brock and Lucy were married too. They had only one child: Fester. He had light brown skin and Brock's eyes. He is 4 years old. Solidad and Harley were engaged. James and Jessie were married. They were expecting a daughter. Tracey and Daisy were married but they didn't have any children. Max and Molly were traveling around together, dating. Bonnie hadn't found anyone yet, nor did Mahri. Rudy and Melody were married too.
Goh and Chloe were engaged. Barry and Bianca were married and were expecting a son. Clemont and Serena were also engaged. Kiawe and Olivia were married. Looker and Anabel were married but they had no children. Ritchie and Duplica were married and had one daughter: Amy. Amy has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 3 years old.
Lance and Prima were married. Gary and Erika were married and they were expecting a daughter. Professor Oak had passed away a bit after Gary and Erika were married. Steven and Cynthia were engaged. Steven had lost his father way before the events years ago. Yoni was still in jail and Lawrence was on a very tight parole. Reggie and Maylene were married.
Brandon and Luka were engaged. Violet and Lily were still single too but they were okay with that. Delia had come over earlier that day to spend time with her grandchild. Delia had gray hair now but other than that she had not changed all that much. She was chatting with Misty as Trina was having a nap. Ash didn't know what was going to happen next but at least he had his family.
...
Wishmaker1028: There we have it! The end of Farewell to You! I really enjoyed working on this fanfiction. I originally wanted to have a moment where Team Rocket decided to let go of Lugia (2,000) like they did in the movie. Ash  and Pikachu are complete tears as they watch them drop down to the ocean yet again. But it didn't make much sense for this to happen again since they didn't have to do that (in this story) so I scratched it. I wanted to share that. I am going to miss these characters and I hope you all have enjoyed this fanfiction. Please read and review! And always think outside of the box!

You know how Mo Ran draws porn in a bunch Chu Wanning’s books and then just… forgets about it, evidently?
Anyway, I like to think that’s true, he does completely forget… until one day early on in Chu Wanning’s ‘seclusion’, he wakes up in the middle of the night with a start,
“OH SHIT I FORGOT ABOUT THE GAY PORN!!"
And of course he can't leave it in there because oh gods what a terrible thing to do to Chu Wanning! But he can't just go waltz into Red Lotus Pavilion and get rid of it either.
So I imagine that Mo Ran spends several days plotting how to get in there anyway and get rid of it, but he just can't make it work no matter what hijinks he tries to come up with (And you just know the whole time Xue Meng is going, "What are you up to? You're up to something, I'm not stupid" and then that becomes a whole thing because of course it does).
And after those several days of tearing his hair out, Mo Ran decides that he'll just need to come back after the five years are up and take care of it then. No problem, he'll remember! .....
Except he doesn't. He's just too busy doing all the things that lead to him becoming Mo Zongshi to dwell on yet another one of his dumb mistakes, and then Chu Wanning comes back, and obviously everything that happens, happens, and Mo Ran just... completely forgets.
That is until years and years later, when Sect Leader Xue Meng brings some old books that had belonged to the Beidou Immortal to a quiet cabin in the mountains because they end up reuniting with Xue Meng just let me have this okay and Mo Ran is idlely flipping through them before Chu Wanning gets home... and he comes across the dumb porn he drew all those years ago and he REMEMBERS and he's mortified again.
Then it's a whole song and dance about how oh yes, Xue Meng was here, yes I know he said he was going to be bringing some of your old books but wouldn't you know something happened and a whole bunch of them were damaged, it's really too bad.
So Chu Wanning drops the matter, and Mo Ran pats himself on the back for finally- after all of those years- getting rid of those stupid explicit drawings before Chu Wanning could see them.
... Except Chu Wanning knew about the drawings from almost the moment Mo Ran got his hands on his books. He was just too thin-faced to ever say anything about it.

@jiraipink asked:
"The first thing I noticed about you? Well... When I first met you, I remember accidentally bumping into you and thinking 'Oh he's really pretty.' Eheheh. That's probably normal for you to hear, right? I'm sure most women think that when they see you. However..." She cups her chin and stares down at his boots. The memory comes as a welcomed old friend through the door. A bashful, yet warm smile on her face when thinking fondly of that moment when he obliged to partake in her stupid prank and then looking both concerned for her and confused after his mistake. An honest idiot. A cute honest idiot. "What drew me in was... your willingness to help me. How you... didn't abandon me when I was in desperate help. How you expressed concern over my wellbeing."
A laugh suddenly escapes her as she scratches behind her head awkwardly. "Ahahaha! Th-Though, we ended up hating each other that day because of what I said, I honestly appreciated how you decided to show me a place where I could stay and didn't leave me alone since then.... I was really scared all by myself in this world, Mui. I was even scared of you admittedly, but... You didn't leave me there to die, despite you not liking me very much." She lowers her hand away from her head and twiddles her thumbs. Her gaze blinking slowly at the jewelry she's wearing on her fingers. They were the same ones she wore the day that they met.
"So even though my first thought was that you were pretty, the first impression you TRULY left on me that I noticed about you was... How kind you are." Funny, right? Especially how he acted towards her after attempting to help her. Yet, the reality was that he was kind to Namida when willing to assist her. It was as if... he was always meant to help her, because of how natural and casual he complied to her. She recalls feeling bad for saying something insensitive as a defense mechanism which led to their rocky relationship. Could... things have been different between them had she just trusted him from the get-go?
Oh how grateful she felt indeed to have met someone who could help her not get lost and not make her feel alone. He was someone who always distracted her of such lonely and homesick thoughts whenever they bickered or teased each other. Even now, he continues to help her. So so much. More than he knows. Cherished memories that evoke positive nostalgia. It was at this time she looks up at him with a shimmer in her amethyst eyes; staring at him for a brief moment of silence. Her black platform shoes then slowly leaning up on the tips of her toes and...
Chu~ ♡
Her pink glossy lips blesses his forehead with a gentle kiss that lingered there for a few more seconds. When she pulls away, her feet are planted flat again and she whispers with the most sweetest smile only Kamui can manifest. "Thank you, Kamui... Thank you for not giving up on me." (Bye I'm about to cry FUCK-)
what’s the first thing your muse noticed about mine?
Tumblr media
Kamui was definitely really interested in the first thing Namida noticed about him, although he wasn't too fond of the fact that they didn't get along when first meeting.....
Although, when she says the first thing she noticed was how pretty he was, Kamui couldn't help but smile. ''I do get complimented on my appearance a lot yeah, but I only like it when I hear it from you. It meant more from Namida because he knew her, and valued everything she thinks above all else. If she didn't think he was attractive, he'd probably be really bummed out over that. Kamui definitely knew she was complimented a lot herself. She was probably the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. Although, other guys..... looking at her the way he did.... Made him annoyed.
She was talking and he just kept thinking that when looking at her, but he had been listening intently to every word she'd say. He ended up really surprised when she'd say how kind he was. Namida mentioned kind things he did for her, and he'd feel.... embarrassed.
He didn't like being called kind, he was used to be referred to as scary, intimidating.... things like that. Not kind. No one ever called him kind.
She was calling him kind. She thought he was kind....
Well, he thinks about it.... she was the only one he didn't act awful towards, he treated her like he treasured her a lot, which was true. He did. She was important to him. But being called kind.....
He'd look down, cheeks red from the way his image was being ruined.
Kind... he was kind. Not intimidating. He was pouting over this. Although, when she went ahead and kissed his forehead and whispered what she did his eyes widened. Then looking at her silently for a few seconds. He was just..... astonished.
Namida thought these things about him. Thought he was kind.
Kamui pulled her towards him, keeping a grip on her wrist.
Tumblr media
''You think that even after seeing me kill? Seeing me lost control?'' He questions, wanting to know.
''I hope you know, even when I am in control, I still kill. I enjoy it too. I find it fun. I'm not going to lie and hide it from you. I'm a bad person, and you think I'm kind? You can still say I'm a kind person after me telling you that?''
He'd look at her completely seriously, he wanted her to at least know that if she really wholeheartedly thought he was kind. If she can still say he was kind even after finding that out, then... well... he'll think she was crazy. But he'd probably like her even more because of that.

July 2023
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was my britday month and I watched a lot of flims like always. Also yes, barbie is the reason this month is so late. I have a lot of thought that i dont really know how to express.
Flims
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) Dir. Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, Kemp Powers
Yes I watched it agine. It still amazing, and i feel like seeing on the big screen adds to the whole thing much more. This is literally the only movie I've seen twice in cinama, and it's so worth it. It weirdly felt quicker to watch, but i think because I knew what i was expecting. But it's still so good. Especially, the ending crdits. I love how they look and how they symobolise every event in the movie. 10/10
Tumblr media
Nimona (2023) Dir. Troy Quane, Nick Bruno
I watched this movie hungover and by god it was fucking great. It one of those movie that haven't stop thinking about (at the time of writing this) I just love thinking about the charaters and what they mean to each other, and the theme, and how the movie can explore so much and mean so many different things to different people. I also love the character design as well, and how imo, impove the desgins from the comic. Idk, it just one of those things that make me want to create my own stories 9/10
Tumblr media
Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop (2021) Dir. Kyohei Ishiguro
I remember i started this movie when it came out, got like 20 minents into it and i just wasn't into it. Anyway, I restarted it and ended up sobbing like a baby. Frist things first, i adore the colours, that what drew me to the movie in the first place aswell as how the movie animated. Idk, I'm not an expert, but the way the characters move just looked so nice and smooth . I don't know what extaly affected me, i think it has to with the exploration frist love?? idk. Like i said, im still not compltye sure. 8/10
The Report (2019) Dir. Scott Z. Burns
death2American. But ya i just felt so annoyed watching this movie. The movie itself was good, i like a lot of the acting and felt like they are a very cohersive story, dispit it taking place over a good few years and have a lot of movie parts. But ya, I feel annyed and angry that so about what some of the people did and never face any repercussions to what happened. But overall, heavy but interesting movie (7/10)
In the Heights (2021) Dir. Jon M. Chu
I really like this movie. I remember when it came out, i was so hyped, i just kept watching the first song over and over again. And i still think it is such a good movie, i love most of the song, esaliy abula song. Everything about that whole song was amazing and started crying during it. It just one of those movies that i forget about, but I love rewatching. (8/10)
Tumblr media
Barbie (2023) Dir. Greta Gerwig
I really loved this movie. I saw it twice. It just a movie that i found so fun. Like everyone, i love the costume and the sets and just everything thing about the movie. I love the massage behind it, but at the same time, i feel like there is so much more it could say. It's a movie that i feel like i make me want to read more into feminism movement to see why some poeple dislike the movie (not for the stupit reasons, but the valid ones) with what it has to say about gender. Overall, I would say I really like it, and it probably gonna be a movie. I come back to watch over and over again, and my opinion will probably change the move I watch it (7/10)
Books
Tumblr media
Biography Of X by Catherine Lacey
I ughh I really like this book. It was just so interesting to read about this fictionalised artist and this alternative version of history. It felt like it could be something that was real, and I think that due to how the well the auther blend and changed history in small or massive ways. It just so good, I love all the character who apper, the obsession of it, the explore of love and unhealthy relationships. God damnit I could write so much about this book, but then ill be spoiling it 4/5
Songs I love
Bug like an angle-Mitski
Rush- Troye Sivan
Malmo-Mook
Pulp-Lime Garden
Wishing Well-Screaming Females

Since we're talking about the assumptions on illiterate Ed. I just feel the need to point out that this conversation shouldn't leave behind the important point that there is nothing wrong with being illiterate. That it doesn't make you stupid or brute or ignorant, and in fact there's a deep richness to it! And this should particularly be kept in mind when we are talking about an Indigenous character, since many Indigenous languages didn't have a written form before colonization - including Te Reo, the language of the māori. And - at least in Brasil, where I'm from - many Indigenous activists actually think that written language is an imposition of colonization, and that not having written language is one of the ways in which Indigenous memory is stronger (obviously, not all, because Indigenous cultures are different, separate and diverse. But the ones that do need to be listened to)
An example is the words of Davi Kopenawa Yanomami (translated by me): "Our thoughts expand in every direction and our words are old and many. They come from our ancestors. However, unlike the whites, we don't need to put them in skins of images to keep them from escaping our minds. We don't have to draw the words, like they do with theirs. And that doesn't mean the words will disappear, because our memory is long and strong. [...] The white thought is different. Their memory is complex, but it's weaved in foggy, obscure words. [...] They just relentlessly stare at the paper skins where they drew their own words. If they don't follow its pattern, their thought gets lost. They fill themselves with forgetfulness and become deeply ignorant. Our ancestors didn't have skins of images and didnt use them to write their laws. Their only words were the ones that left their mouths and they didn't draw them, and thus the words didn't distance themselves from them"
So, yeah. Also, even outside of this framework, there are still a lot of illiterate people in the world, especially in the third world, because access to education is still limited because of ongoing imperialism. Also some people with learning or intellectual disabilities, as well as some Deaf people, particularly those who didn't have access to quality education since learning to write when you don't know the sounds the letters are supposed to represent is hard. And these people aren't brutish or stupid or ignorant either, they're just underprivileged. And their words and knowledge aren't less valuable because they aren't in writing
I'm not saying I disagree with your take that most people's assumptions and headcanons about Ed being illiterate are racist, but I think that in order to dismantle this racist framework for real, we need to challenge the deeply colonialist idea that being illiterate is a bad or sad thing in the first place
This is not at you, chu, because I love your blog and think everything you say is very important. I just felt the need to make that... Contribution, if that makes sense
No, this is actually a GREAT point. Because you're very right! As someone literate, who was raised with literacy as the expectation, I do bring my own baggage into the thought, and framing illiteracy as bad is an inherent imposition on cultures where writing isn't practiced or traditional. your contribution is VERY valued!
i am always learning, just as much as everyone else is, and this is something i'm definitely going to keep contemplating.
