Day 25 is Dancer’s Pose. Picture on the left is from 12/9/15. Picture on the right is from today 3/25/20. Can you see I’m not smiling today lol I tried to a little hehe I was in the zone, you know? Breathing deep and pushing forward :) I’ve never really been flexible. That’s part of the reason I began my journey. In 2015 this picture excited me cause I could hold my leg lol it’s the simple things with me. Today, I was wobbbbbbly; I was also able to sit in the pose for a nice amount of deep breaths on both legs. With that came my foot reaching way higher then I ever thought it could lol look at the difference between the distance from my lifted foot and my head in both pics...there’s the progress 💕😋I can confirm, I was not sitting and deeply breathing in this pose in 2015 lol if it was my body was more passive then it is now :) ENGAGE BABY ENGAGE!!! Seriously it’s a big part of flexibility. Didn’t realize that for years. who is the true yogi?

The word yogi brings to mind images of amazing people who do amazing contortions with their bodies. But what about the mental stability of the person behind the pose? What if the mind gone but the pose is there?

The true yogi is one that is fully integrated, and united with their truest self. One that is able to face the everyday clusterfuck challenges of life with mind still and stable - unaltered. So whole that nothing can get by that shield of inner peace. That’s a true yogi.
