Home for Christmas?
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2,124 Alec x reader Oneshot Warnings: A little angst, lots of fluff
hey look it’s me putting in a request 😏 anyway can you please please please please do numbers 12 and 22 from the christmas prompts with Alec 🥺 ily 🥰 For @alecvolturiswifeforever
Alec and Y/N had been mates for nearly a year and the Kings had allowed Y/N to stay living with her parents and finish school before moving to Volterra to ‘attend’ college. They trusted that she cared enough for Alec to keep their secret and she put together a very convincing argument that even Caius couldn’t object to. “Firstly, I would never put Alec and Jane in danger by sharing your secret as he is my mate and Jane is my new sister or will be once we get to know to each other…” Jane’s lips curved into a small smile hearing her brother’s mate call her her sister “…And family protect each other no matter what. Secondly, if I decided to share your secret, I’d be locked in a padded cell for being crazy and then I’d never see Alec again and that just won’t do.” The vampires in the room chuckled at her honest response. Marcus chuckled too, finding her endearing. “We’ll allow you to stay at home and finish school but you must come visit in the summer holidays and Alec will visit you on occasions too” Aro said smiling and Caius nodded “Remember Demetri can track you so even he may pay you a visit if he’s nearby” “Cool, send as many vamps to say hello as you wish…as long they remember my family and I are not on the menu.” Again the vampires chuckled “Of course you and your family are safe from harm” Aro assured her.
Most recently Demetri had popped by for a visit over Halloween weekend as he was nearby and Y/N talked him into helping her hand out candy to the children who knocked at her house. “Once the candy runs out you and I are watching horror movies” He tells her and notices her wide smile “YES!” Demetri laughs at her enthusiasm and knows exactly which movies he’s going to suggest.
Alec comes to stay at Y/N’s over the first weekend in November and he takes her on dates to the movies and out for dinner before coming home and snuggling up watching romantic films or romantic comedies. “This is nice doing ‘human’ things with you, especially as none of this existed when I was human” Alec told her “I’m glad and honoured that I get to share these ‘human’ moments with you” She replied before leaning over and kissing him.
“When will I see you again?” Y/N asked as Alec was getting ready to leave “I’m hoping to be able to come back and see you around Christmas time” He replied and her eyes lit up “Yay!” She kissed him “I’m going to make a list of things we can do that I think you’d like as a ‘human” She added and he smiled at her “Looking forward to it.”
Jane asked for some time off as she wanted to see Y/N and the Kings agreed as Jane never asked for time away from the castle during her vacation time. Jane arrived early December and found Y/N decorating a Christmas tree “Want some help sweetie?” Jane’s voice sounded in the empty room and Y/N spun around to face her “Jane! What are you doing here?” “I had some time off and I asked if I could spend it here with you and the Kings agreed” Jane replied “Cool. Can you help me get Alec a Christmas present?” “Of course Sweetie. I’ve known Alec all his life obviously and therefore will help you pick out the best gift for him” Jane replied smiling wide at the thought of her brother getting a gift from the mate he loves so dearly. “Thank you Jane, that’s really nice of you” Y/N replied and hugged her, Jane hesitantly returned the hug as she wasn’t used to receiving affection from anyone other than Alec and a very select few others back at the castle.
The next morning Jane and Y/N went to the mall and did their Christmas shopping. Jane had pulled Demetri’s name out of the hat for Secret Santa and decided she would buy his gift during this trip. She bought him some of his favourite bath products and Disney’s Twisted Tales, boxset one. Y/N giggled “You’re buying Demetri that book set?” “Yes, I think he’ll enjoy the books considering his mate introduced him to the world of Disney after they met. He’s watched the films with her and even read the original books so I think he’ll like ‘evil’ spin on them” Jane replied “Huh, makes sense but I didn’t realise Dem’s mate was human” “She was but he turned her about eighteen months ago and she still loves all things Disney and so does he” Jane smiled at her “Aww that’s so sweet” Y/N said with a smile of her own, her mind wandering to thoughts of Alec.
Y/N bought Alec the complete set of Sherlock Holmes books. “Are sure he’ll like this?” Y/N asked “Yes sweetie, I’m sure. He loves these kind of stories” Jane replied, a light chuckle escaping her “Sorry, it’s just this is our first Christmas together and I want it to be special…especially given that your childhoods weren’t very pleasant” “It’s ok sweetie, I understand and this year will be special because you’ll be together” Jane said smiling.
Y/N also picked up a present for Jane, deciding on some bath products so she could pamper herself, choosing a scent she thought Jane would like ‘Vanilla and Honey’ and added some make-up too.
Once they got back to Y/N’s house they put their gifts away and Y/N made them both a hot chocolate “Are you sure you’ll be ok with this?” Y/N asked Jane “Yes, my venom burns it off easily and there’s something nice about a hot chocolate on a cold day that makes me feel warm inside” Jane replied smiling “You sound like a human” Y/N and Jane both chuckled “I suppose I do.”
The following morning Y/N woke up to find it had snowed overnight and Jane was sitting by the fire reading. Y/N made them both a hot chocolate. “Here, I made you this” “Thank you” Jane said as she took the drink from Y/N. She sat beside Jane and picked up her own book in the process.
“This is nice, being here with you in front of the fire and watching the snow fall” “I’m just sorry it’s not my brother here with you” Jane said softly “I know, but with you here Jane I’m not alone” Y/N replies smiling “When you a have a sister you are never truly alone” Jane responded with a smile on her own. Jane then wrapped the big duvet around them as Y/N snuggled into her as the intro to their film began ‘Elf’ “This film’s so good and it’s funny but since meeting Felix, Buddy; the main character reminds me of him” “Why?” Jane asked curious “You’ll see” Y/N smirked.
Jane started laughing when she saw Buddy crammed into a small desk made for Elves, her laughter increased when she saw how much bigger he was compared to the others around him “See what I mean about Felix?” Y/N asked and all Jane could do was nod as she was still laughing and venomous tears had started to fall. “Demetri and Alec would love this film; we could then tease Felix about it” Jane said once she finally finished laughing “Am I ok to resume the film?” Y/N asked “Yes please. I wanna see how it ends” Jane replied smiling.
Jane returns to Volterra a few days later, having enjoyed spending time with her new sister and was counting down the days until she could visit again and also counting down to when Y/N would move into the castle.
Y/N felt a little lonely now that Jane had left to go back home but decided to busy herself by preparing for Christmas and was looking forward to spending it with her family and Alec this year. Y/N was busy hanging some decorations in her room when her phone rang, a quick glance at the screen told her it was Alec. Alec was calling Y/N for one of their usual catch up calls but he had some bad news for her, news that may just ruin her Christmas.
“Hi Alec, how are you?” Y/N answered the phone with a big smile.
“Hi sweetheart, I’m ok thanks. How are you?” Alec greeted her when she answered the phone
“I’m ok too but I’m missing you lots”
“I miss you too and I have something to tell you…and it’s not great” Alec felt bad for what he was about to tell his mate.
“What is it Alec? Are you hurt in some way?” She asked, worry clear in her voice.
“I’m not hurt or anything but…there’s a very good chance I won’t get to see you at Christmas…I’m so sorry sweetheart”
Y/N felt a lump form in her throat as tears formed and threatened to fall at hearing this news “It-it’s ok Alec, I understand…work must be really busy. Hopefully, you can come see me in the New Year” She replied trying not to cry.
“Definitely sweetheart. I need to go now so goodnight, love you”
“Love you too Alec, take care”
Their phone call ended and Y/N cried herself to sleep that night at the thought of not seeing her mate for another few weeks, ‘It’s been so long already’ she thought to herself.
Jane rang the next morning to check in with her and could instantly tell something was wrong. “Y/N, are you ok? Did something happen?” “I-I’m ok. Al-Alec is…isn’t com-coming for…Chris-Christmas after all” She replied between sobs, Jane’s undead heart broke for her “Oh sweetie, I am so sorry, really. I know how much you were looking forward to seeing him” Jane replied “It-it’s ok…he’s busy with w-work. I-I’ll see h-him soon” Y/N said still sobbing.
Y/N was still feeling down about not seeing Alec over Christmas and no amount of ‘distractions’ from her mum had helped. Jane checked in with Y/N daily to make sure she was ok.
Christmas Eve had arrived and Y/N decided to make Christmas Cupcakes and was busy dancing and singing along to the Christmas songs being played through her phone that she didn’t hear anyone enter the house. “Merry Christmas” Alec’s voice called from the doorway, Y/N turned and the look of surprise on her face made him chuckle. “You’re home!” Y/N replied and ran towards him and Alec caught her in his arms “As if I’d miss spending Christmas with my favourite person” He placed a kiss to her temple, her cheek then finally captured her lips with his. “I’ve missed you so much Alec” “And I’ve missed very much too” Alec replied, his hold on her tightening a little.
The snow had stopped falling overnight much to Y/N’s disappointment “It’s still a white Christmas” Alec pointed out as he looked out of Y/N’s bedroom window at the thick blanket of snow that covered everything. “I know…I just wanted it to snow today that’s all.” She replied.
“Merry Christmas Alec” Y/N said handing him his present “Thank you and Merry Christmas Y/N” Alec replied handing her a set of beautifully wrapped gifts “Thank you Alec.”
Alec and Y/N were in her room spending time together now that they had eaten Christmas dinner with her family. “How long are you here for?” Y/N asked “I don’t plan on going home for a while as I have a mate to keep happy” “Well she’s happy you’re here now and you’re welcome to stay as long as you want.” She placed a lingering kiss to his cheek as he pushed play, the opening credits of their film sounding in the quiet room.
A little while later Alec noticed Y/N shiver slightly “I’ll be back in a few minutes” Alec climbed out of bed and left the room, making his way downstairs to the kitchen and made Y/N a cup of tea before going back upstairs. “Here you are sweetheart” He handed her the cup he had gotten her Christmas “Thanks” She smiled taking the cup from him. “Ahh” She murmured after taking a sip of her drink and he smiled, pleased that she liked the tea he had made for her. He climbed back into bed beside her and she snuggled up against him. He pulled the duvet and blankets back over himself before wrapping his arm around her to hold her close as they continued to watch Christmas movies for the rest of the evening / night.
“Thank you for a lovely Christmas sweetheart” Alec said softly but Y/N didn’t reply as she had fallen asleep snuggled up in her mate’s arms.

He liked to act like a badass infront of the others but was completely vulnerable with you
He once cried while talking to you about his past and fell asleep in your arms right after
You liked to help him style his hair and you were also the one that dyed them everytime
Your first time with him happened during a make out session
He didn't use protection and you got mad at him for that
"Babeeee c'mon, i pulled out! the worst that can happen is a little Hawk, nothing bad about it"
He dies of jealousy everytime someones looks at you but acts like he doesn't care
You know he cares and you tease him about it-
Which leads to a very intense fuck-
His mother loves you SO MUCH
Literally so much that sometimes he jokes about it
"I think you love her more than you love me???"
You had just one serious argument and it was about you getting mad at him for how he treated his old friend acting like a bully
He told you to ✨fuck off✨
At 3:00 am he was knocking at your door crying desperately
"I'm sorry, please, i'm sorry"
You tried to act tough but when you saw him you started to cry too
He understood what you meant and listened to you
Your relationship has up and downs but your love is strong so you overcome every difficulty together
Tumblr media
Demetri;
You met him in the Science Lab
"You know, i think that what you're doing is wrong and i know how to make it right"
Little did you know that he would have used the same mechanism with your heart too-
He wasn't the type that crushed over girls but when he saw you, not even his smart mind knew what was happening to him
He narrowed his eyes at you when you wanted to sit next to him at lunch
"Well if you want to get bullied then, you can sit here i guess"
He was too awkward to ask you out so he sent Miguel to talk to you-
The situation made you laugh so you accepted
Your first date was at your house because he told you he didn't like crowded places
You watched 'Tron:Legacy' and you loved to see how excited he got during the movie
You made the first move and kissed him
"Why did you do that?"
He stood up right after and headed to the bathroom
You heard him talk alone while you regretted your life decisions
After 20 minutes he returned in your room and kissed you before you could speak
People couldn't believe he was dating someone at first
He liked to show you off because he thought you were the prettiest girl he ever met
He still had troubles telling you everything
He got a ✨boner✨ everytime you hugged him
You never had the sex talk, it just happened
"Why are you on your knees- oh"
Having sexual experiences boosted his confidence
It really made him less of a smartass but also very paranoid
"What if you're pregnant now?"
"I swallowed, i can't get pregnant like this! I thought you were smarter than that."
Your first time was kinda awkward and short but you weren't surprised about it
As time went by, he started to get more comfortable with his sexuality and became a very gentle and passionate lover
He had his whole future with you all planned out
He loves to call you "Honey"
Your arguments are mostly about movies or books you both like
He takes them seriously tho and you kinda like to see him full of rage
"Just accept it, i'm right and you are wrong. I still love you anyway, honey"
It took him some time before he started to feel comfortable with cuddles
He doesn't like P.D.A because he prefers to have you all to himself without anyone watching
He likes to hold hands with you anyway
Your relationship is strong and everyone thinks you were both made for each other
Tumblr media
Robby;
You first saw him at the tournament
You were in the Cobra Kai dojo-
You both shared som glances and at the end of the tournament you congratulated with him even tho he lost
He acted a little bit cold and just nodded
The day after he called his father just to ask about you-
Johnny knew what was up and helped him, combining the both of you
You are the main reason why Johnny and Robby got closer
When you found out your Sensei was his father, you understood why Robby was so hot-
Your first date was pretty chill and it was at the cinema
You both knew each other better, whispering in the middle of the movie
He was a flirt ALL THE TIME
But also a sweet bby
Your first kiss happened at the end of the night infront of your house
He went from "angel baby boy" to "your daughter calls me daddy too" very quickly
Johnny acted like it wasn't a big deal but asked about you two at least 2 times a week after training
Robby couldn't keep his hands to himself whenever you were around
You snogged EVERYWHERE when you had the opportunity
He invited you multiple times at his house since his mother was never around
You let him vent about his relationship with his parents and listen to him
Your first time happened on his couch
It started with you simply cuddling while watching a movie and then an heated make out session happened
It was slow and passionate with him whispering to you how much he loved you
When he told you he was a virgin before you and always lied, you didn't believe him
He is a sucker for P.D.A
You are both two jealous bastards and your arguments are mostly about jealousy
You were jealous of Sam and a big argument started because of that
He reassured you, telling you that he only had eyes for you
He secretly is a bottom most of the time-
But when he takes control, he will ✨rail you✨
He's proud of you and loves to show you off
He LOVES cuddles so much and can't sleep if he doesn't feel your fingertips in his hair-
Your meeting with his mother was awkward since she was with another man-
He is ✨protective✨ and will never let you get hurt
Loves to see you blush while he tells you sweet things
Got mad when you told him that you thought Johnny was hot
"He is my father!"
"Yeah and you both have the same DNA, so both hot-"
Gave you the silent treatment after but lost it when he found you with only one of his shirts on the bed-
He always has new ideas whenever you two hang out together
"We should go climbing-"
He is so romantic, like DAMN-
"I'm a gentleman in the streets and a beast in the sheets"
Calls you "babygirl" everytime
Your relationship is long lasting and never boring

Hi! Can I please request a Demetri x mate!human!fem!reader where she’s Bella’s younger sister, and when the Volturi come for Renesmee, the Cullens tell her to stay with Charlie, since they had a bunch of vampires with them plus the Volturi showing up, it’d be bad with a human in the mix. Being related to Bella (haha) she doesn’t listen, choosing to hide behind a tree to try to see how Bella and her family are (she was worried what the Volturi would do). I’m sure everyone would realize there’s a human there, and Aro sends Demetri to check it out, who finds Y/n, and quickly realizes she’s his mate. Ooo that would be nerve racking to Bella because she’d see Dem speed her younger sister over to where all the Volturi are. I’m sure she’d have to go back to Volterra with them, and she’d be a little freaked out. Awhhh it’d be so cute to see them bond, and on New Year’s, she wants to watch the ball drop (because it’s a tradition), and when it’s the New Year, she kisses Dem for the first time!
Little Red Riding Hood Part 1 ||Demetri Volturi x Female Reader||
Part 2: The Big Bad Wolf
Part 3: What Soft Lips You Have
Part 4: And They Lived Happily Ever After
Warnings: None, just Aro being a manipulative little meanie
Words: 4793
Summary: Against her sister’s advice, Y/N Swan sets off on a one woman mission to protect her family, unaware of the price she will have to pay to do so.
One of the worst habits you had was wondering the house late at night when you shouldn’t be. It wasn’t your fault really, insomnia didn’t have an easy cure and your sleeping medication was…well, when you woke up in the morning you felt drunk, they weren’t really something you enjoyed using. It had been an innocent quest really, a simple mission – get a warm mug of milk to go back to bed with. If anything, you were perfectly in the right to go wandering your own home. It should have been safe, even at 3:24AM.
Riley Biers shouldn’t have been there.
But he was.
In your living room.
And so were you.
Until you weren’t.
Alice had seen it all in advance of course and whisked you out of that room so fast the venom hadn’t even had time to properly enter your system after Riley bit down. Charlie hadn’t even been woken from his slumber by the time you were whisked into the depths of the forest to a nice little clearing where you could scream to your hearts content and nobody would hear you. Carlisle had saved you that night, sucking the venom out as quickly as Riley had injected it. The night that had followed was a surreal, whistle stop tour of the vampire world and its laws, laws you were technically breaking since you knew about the Cullen’s now. Of course, that meant you knew about the newborn army to, but you decided to stay out of that one. Some things however…some things demanded your attention, and whether you were human or not you simply had to at least see your family would be okay.
After a whirlwind few months your sister was saved, married and knocked up. Come Christmas, your hybrid niece was looking to be nine years old and your father was suspicious but none the wiser to the world you knew all too much about. You had carefully hidden your bitemark with polo necks, a sudden and bizarre choice your father had commented on once but quickly dismissed after you spouted some fashion facts Alice had prepared you with – fashion and Charlie did not mix and he dropped that conversation faster than one might drop a saucepan on fire. Of course, Renesmee (who you had created a variety of nicknames for just to tease Bella because otherwise you…well you’d have to call her Renesmee, and that was just cruel) was unique in every way, and unique and unknown equated to threat and danger in many minds, many minds the Cullen’s had slowly swayed over the few weeks since Alice had informed them of their impending death sentence.
You hadn’t been allowed to visit since the nomads and covens had started arriving, and though you understood the reason it didn’t make it any easier to know your sister, your niece, your extended family, were all in danger and you weren’t getting to spend what might be their last moments with them. It was only made worse when Bella and Edward had brought your father tickets to go fishing out of state, and tried to do the same to you. You loved your TV shows, truly you did, so for them to somehow get you backstage passes for Supernatural of all things was…immense. What you hated the most was how tempted you were to go. Who would say no to a long stay in a five star hotel, all expenses paid for and any bills you accumulated paid for by a Cullen, bottomless credit card?
When Edward and Bella had dropped you at the airport, part of you really had been ready to say goodbye to them, but as you stood in line for the gate the heavy weight of guilt settled in your gut and wouldn’t stop squirming. You had to turn back, you had to go. Nobody knew when the Volturi were going to land exactly, but you knew the day, and with Charlie and Sue gone for their fishing trip you would have nobody to stop you doing the incredibly dumb thing you had set your heart on. The taxi fare home had been extortionate but you couldn’t exactly have called anyone for a lift could you? You called the hotel and told them you were cancelling your stay, having to push your backstage pass for the Supernatural set deep into the depths of your bag to manage the grief of missing that opportunity, but family came first.
A restless night’s sleep later and you were dressing for the snow. It had fell fast and thick since Christmas day, so you had to set out early if you were going to get anywhere fast. Bella was your sister and you loved one another dearly, so of course you had spoken all about the upcoming battle, her hopes and her fears, her plans.
“There’s a clearing to the North of the house, we’re hoping if we engage them there it’ll be far enough away from people to stop anyone else getting involved by accident.”
Clearing to the North of the Cullen residence, right. With your Grandfather’s old compass you had set out, bundled in your thickest woollen coat and decked out the whole nine yards with scarves and hats and gloves. The air was freezing, nipping harshly at your exposed skin till your ears and nose were tinged red. Sniffling, you trudged through the layers of snow, stumbling over your own feet once or twice in the hereditary Swan way before regaining your footing and ploughing on. The trees seemed never-ending, an identical blanket of white on each and every one that towered above you, encroaching from all sides and making you lose all sense of direction. If it wasn’t for the compass in your hand you could have easily gotten lost in the winter wonderland, but a break in the treeline finally made an appearance. Numb as your extremities were, you forced your tired body to cooperate and propelled yourself forward, stumbling towards a tree you might be able to see past.
The forest was eerily silent, not a single scuttling animal or twittering bird to be found today, and the clearing itself was so large and the covens spread so far apart you could barely see a thing either, not with your dull, human eyes. A swarm of black gave away the Volturi, the mismatch of beiges and neutral tones on the left letting you know your family had yet to be taken down. A sigh of relief escaped you and you clapped a hand over your mouth in alarm, heart skipping a beat in your chest. Vampires had extremely sensitive hearing, there was no way somebody hadn’t heard you, and if it wasn’t the sigh that gave you away then it would surely have been the sound of mitten slapping flesh. Pressing into the bark you peeked around the tree trunk, heart hammering in your chest now as you tried to establish what was happening. You couldn’t hear a thing, could barely see. Ness sat atop Jacob, his russet fur glinting in the bright white of the snow-covered landscape.
“It all looks so terribly interesting from this distance does it not?” the smooth voice was right by your ear, and you screamed louder than you ever had in your life. Whirling around you shrunk back from the vibrantly red eyes of an admittedly handsome man, his expression devoid of any emotion as he looked you over. He had boxed you in against the tree trunk, his cloak billowing about him, the shiny, golden ‘V’ hanging around his throat making your chest constrict. Volturi, he was a Volturi guard. With wide eyes you stood in a silent stare-off, unable to decipher the emotions flickering through his eyes as he stood a step toward you.
“Stay away from me!” you cried, cringing back into the bark behind you. His head tilted.
“You came to spy and did not expect there would be consequences?” he asked, not stopping till he was almost on top of you. Your breath hitched. He had the most gorgeous looking face but you could identify the features of a killer in it. The glowing red irises didn’t look at you with malice however, more…confusion. His sharp, pearl white teeth weren’t bared to take your throat out but carefully sealed away behind plush lips. You could almost believe he didn’t intend on hurting you if his hands weren’t still reaching for you.
“You’re here to butcher my family, I had to…” you trailed off, because in reality what could you do? What could you possible say to this vampire that wouldn’t make him laugh? You were human, you stood no chance. He had paused, waiting patiently for your answer, yet when you gave him none he proceeded to pick you up like you weighed next to nothing, your feet being whisked out of the numbing snow to dangle over his arm. His eyes never left yours.
“Hold tight little one.” He suggested, his voice devoid of any emotion. If there had been any part of him you might have been able to appeal to before it was gone now, hidden behind a stony exterior. The world blurred around you and the jarring movement thew you off balance as he set you on your feet again, your body tilting in a way it shouldn’t till he was forced to grab you and hold you steady. Nausea rose quickly in the back of your throat, the world still spinning and blurring your eyes. You could see the edges of black cloaks swirling in your vision as you fought back the urge to be sick. There was no way to hide your anxiety now, your heart hammering away for all to hear, your breathing too quick to be normal.
“You seem to have distressed our dear friends, Demetri.” The smooth voice was sickeningly sweet, entirely false to your ears. Trying to take a steadying breath, you forced yourself to look up at the three imposing figures before you. A giant stood behind them, two young twins to their right. The three were quite obvious to you form the stories you’d heard, and your shudder had nothing to do with the cold this time. Demetri, the man holding you, had yet to let go of your waist, and his hands felt strangely soothing, their firm grip something that felt grounding and reliable despite your terror in this moment.
“An intruder who has already seen too much, end her now as yet another of the Cullen’s mistakes.” The blonde sneered. You swallowed, mind spinning. You were dead either way, right?
“My niece is not a mistake.” You retorted. You were proud that your voice didn’t waver once, though the grip on your waist tightened slightly and you weren’t sure if it was to warn you or scold you. Caius hissed, eyes narrowed in a vicious glare.
“Your niece? May I, my dear?” Aro stood before you, taller than you had expected with hair almost as long as yours. You knew it wasn’t a request, but you found yourself desperate either way to avoid touching him and shrank back from his extended hand, straight into Demetri’s chest. His hand was hesitant, but it lifted from your waist to lightly skim down your arm, his lips close to your hairline as he whispered, “Do as you are told now, little one.”
He carefully extended your hand for you, noting the tremor in it once more as Aro’s eyes flickered between you. He removed your mitten with a flourish, your hand immediately clenching and unclenching at the sudden blast of arctic cold it had previously been shrouded from. Aro’s skin was somehow even colder and your shivering grew in intensity. Very vaguely, you could hear Bella shouting something, but the distance was so great and the clearing so vast it swallowed the sound. His eyes flickered over yours, completely pinning you to the spot, and then they looked past you to whatever was happening behind you. Demetri was blocking your view when you tried to see what Aro was seeing.
“Sweet Y/N, your bravery in coming here is applaudable. I can only hope our own dear ones are as dedicated to our family as you are to yours.” Aro sighed, a hint of melancholy in his voice. You flinched, knowing the next words from his mouth would most likely be spelling out your death sentence. The sound of the breeze was all that filled your ears for a moment, the anxiety and anticipation growing in your stomach making it difficult to hold onto the meagre breakfast you’d forced yourself to eat. It occurred to you in that moment that this would be your final moments with your family, your last chance to say goodbye, and they could hear it. Squaring your shoulders, you held your head high.
“I came because I love them, and I don’t regret that. You can’t destroy my family, their witnesses are proof of that. My niece was created out of love and the legacy of love they would leave behind will be far too great for you to overcome. So go ahead and do what you have to to me, if I can die with half their grace then I know I’ve done them proud.” You clenched your fists at your side, prepared for the bite that Aro would deliver, maybe Demetri. Caius looked most upset by your little speech, hissing quietly and looking prepared to spring towards you. More muffled noise from behind you let you know your family had heard, even if you couldn’t hear their goodbyes you felt them in your heart.
Aro’s head tilted slightly, his expression cold, and then his mouth opened slightly and he was leaning forward. You closed your eyes, flinching as you braced for the pain of a bite you knew well, but instead you felt cold air, and when your eyes snapped open you were shielded from Aro’s bite by a tall, lean body, one strong arm curled backward to keep you caged against his spine. Demetri.
“Master…please.” He extended his hand, ripping off his glove with his teeth as he went. Aro eagerly took his hand, probably as desperate as you were to know why one of his most treasured guard would so openly defy him. Some of the Volturi’s people were starting to whisper behind them but a lethal look (from the giant of a man you guessed was Felix from Bella’s stories) silenced them. His grip on your hip tightened for a moment, the silence deafening before Aro chuckled.
“Ahhh…così si forma un legame eterno.” he murmured. You scrunched your nose, having no idea what he meant since you didn’t speak Italian. When Demetri carefully moved aside, giving Aro as slim a chance to access you as he possibly could, and your heart twisted with gratitude that he would even bother to try. You swallowed, doing your best to keep your fear from your face.
“Aro.” Caius growled. Aro held his hand up, forcing his brother to heel even if he couldn’t placate him.
“You are intriguing, Y/N. The Volturi do not offer second chances, but for the sake of our dear Demetri we are willing to bend the rules just this once,” Aro smiled, a shark-like grin that made your stomach sink, “You have a choice before you. Your family are quite innocent in regards to the accusation against your niece, for that we will deliver no justice-“ there was some uncomfortable shuffling behind him Aro dutifully ignored, “-however you are a law broken, yet another example of the Cullen’s inability to guard our secret from humans. An example must be made, you must be dealt with appropriately. Either you turn here, now, or you come with us, and we turn you.”
It was a Hobson’s choice. What Aro was really asking was how dead did you want to be? Dead dead? Or undead dead? If you let Carlisle bite you now in the clearing there were so many unpredictable nomads around. Bite your wrist and it would take forever for the venom to reach your heart and really start the change, you would be tortured right in front of them, a punishment for them all no doubt. Bite your throat and blood would spill, blood so many of those nomads wouldn’t think twice about feeding from in any other situation. So, what did you do? Did you choose the option where you ended up far from home but safe? Or did you choose the option that did not guarantee your safety but did guarantee your family would suffer watching you suffer?
For the first time since you entered the snow you felt warm, warm with so many eyes on you. Swallowing thickly, you tried to will your mind to work faster to outwit the vampire before you. In the end, you could only think of a compromise.
“My father’s not home right now. If I chose to come with you, could I have time to pack some clothes?” your voice was slightly weak, your heart aching in your chest. Your father would never see you again, he’d have to believe you just ran off, that you were the same flighty woman your mother was. Bella might never get a chance to see you again either, an eternity of knowing you would never lose your sister, but that you would never be reunited. It was painful however you spun it. Aro’s smile only widened, knowing he had successfully backed you into a corner.
“But of course! Such a…noble, sacrifice, must be rewarded. You have earned that much my dear. Demetri will take you now.” Aro gave his tracker a nod and Demetri seemed to relax, swiftly turning on his heel to march you across the snow. His hand was gentle on your arm, but the speed he set almost had you running to keep up, like he was desperate to get you out of there lest Aro change his mind. As you were escorted out of the clearing, you dared a single glance back at Bella, her face the very picture of horror as Edward held her back. All you could manage was a weak smile as your sister disappeared from view for what was possible the last time.
Once you were far enough into the trees that the clearing was out of sight for you, Demetri suddenly came to a stop, exhaling sharply and dropping his hand from your arm. It ran through his hair but barely ruffled it. Whatever he was thinking, you weren’t about to be privy to it as he slung you across his back with ease. You gasped, clinging on tight.
“Hey! What are you doing!” you protested.
“Taking you to your home. You are slower than I am.” He retorted, his voice quiet and his grip on your thighs firm. You held on tight, heart rabbiting in your chest.
“You don’t even know where I live.” You squeaked. Demetri chuckled, the sound vibrating through your gut.
“No, but I know where the Cullen’s live, and I find it hard to believe that in all this snow you walked all the way here. Now hold on tight and try closing your eyes, it may help with the nausea, cara mia.” He gave you seconds at most to bury your face in his shoulder before he took off, maybe…or not? You weren’t really sure but you didn’t dare lift your head to look. He made sure his gait was smooth, every stride flawless so he didn’t so much as jostle you, and by the time he gently encouraged you to unwind your legs from his waist you were in front of the Cullen’s house. The only reminder you had ever ran anywhere with him at all was the windswept state of your hair – it was unfair his still looked perfect.
He had been right of course, you had driven to the Cullen’s today. It was hard to imagine him sitting beside you in your small car, his cloak about him and his outfit all…well, what even was he wearing? Why did that even matter when this Volturi guard was escorting you to pack things that would be your only reminder of home? Demetri was quiet, watching you carefully as you stared at your car. Nothing made sense. Why had Demetri saved you when he was the one who hauled you out in front of Aro? Why had it felt like he was protecting you? Why was everything so…comfortable? Being around him was like being in the company of an old friend, it was familiar and warm, inviting, the silences felt natural.
Demetri quietly called your name, his expression questioning, but you didn’t bother to give him an explanation, simply pulled out your car keys and got into the driver’s seat. The radio chased away the silence, your fingers clenched tight around the wheel as you tried to figure out what to pack.
“Where are we going?” you asked him finally. Demetri kept his eyes on the horizon.
“To our home, to Volterra. You will be joining us in Italy.” He answered. Italy? You didn’t know the first thing about Italian culture. What was the food like? The people? The language? You’d need to pack warmer clothes, and they didn’t accommodate turtle-necks – not that you needed to hide a bite from vampires. It wasn’t really until you pulled up in the driveway of your home that it really struck you, the weight of the deal you made hanging heavy on your shoulders as you idled in front of your childhood home. In your mind you could see yourself running up the drive, your suitcase abandoned for your father to pick up as he welcomed you to stay for the summer. Other winters where you had opted to spend Christmas with Charlie over Renée flashed through your mind next, dilapidated snowmen and strung up lights over the porch flashing bright. Tears stung your eyes.
“I’m never coming back here, am I?” you whispered. Demetri remained silent, and you were grateful for it. There was nothing he could say to make this better and you suspected he knew that. Furiously wiping at your eyes, you rummaged for your house keys and cleared your throat. “You should wait until I open the front door, it’ll look suspicious if you follow me in and any of the neighbours see.” You muttered, already climbing out of the car before he could argue. It was a slow walk up the drive, a walk where you desperately tried to imprint the bumps in the concrete, the muddy smells of the forest surrounding you, and the awful netting in the windows’ you father hadn’t changed since your mother moved on, into your memory.
The smell of stale beer from the cans in the recycling box beneath the sink hit your nose as the door opened, the familiar smells of Charlie’s aftershave and Sue’s perfume coming next. The house was cold, quiet, desolate even. Demetri was in front of you in the blink of an eye as you shut the door behind you, nobody would have seen him enter for sure. He glanced around himself, obviously curious at the choice in décor and the photographs along the walls – you couldn’t bear to look at them. With a soft sigh, you left him in the living room, knowing he would do what he liked anyway regardless as to whether or not you invited him upstairs.
The suitcase you had packed for your trip would need to be unpacked, some of your jumpers and long-sleeved shirts would not be needed in Italy after all. It would be hot, and heat was not a friend to wool. Your wardrobe doors flung open, you were contemplating what to put back when Demetri interrupted you.
“Vampires do not feel temperature the same way humans do. When you turn it will be no issue to wear jumpers, if they are what you prefer.” He said. Brows crinkling, you subconsciously lifted a hand to your throat.
“It’s not really a fashion choice,” you murmured, “But I guess I don’t need to really hide a bitemark from a bunch of vampires, do I?” Just like that the air changed; you no longer felt comfortable with Demetri, not when he was giving off such a sour energy. He radiated danger, anger. He took a breath to visibly compose himself, but his eyes were still darkened by anger, near black with the rage he radiated. The leather of his gloves squeaked as he clenched and unclenched his fists. You took a step back from him, biting down on your lower lip as your heart skittered.
“Show me,” he said, eyes blazing. You shook your head. “Show me.” He growled, stepping forward this time. Gulping, you reached up with a shaky hand to pull the turtle-neck down as far as you could, thankful the material stretched slightly. Demetri peered past the fabric to the silver crescent shapes of Riley’s teeth, emblazoned on your skin until Volturi venom decided to buff out that imperfection. He hissed quietly, his fingertips tracing the mark and sending shivers down your spine. He was freezing cold, cold as a corpse actually since that was technically what he was, so why did his fingers leave a blazing trail of fire across your skin?
“It’s just small, it’ll go away anyway if-“
“It will not, go away.” Demetri ground out, his eyes fixated on the scar. He looked genuinely disgusted and you couldn’t tell if it was at you or the bitemark, you couldn’t tell quite why it bothered you so much either. Why did you care so much that this upset Demetri?
“It won’t?” you asked weakly. He winced a bit, letting his hands drop and looking away. You counted ten whole seconds before he dared turn back to you.
“No, it will not. Venom is what will immortalise you, petrify your system, it has had a chance to do so to those cells it has touched already and they will be forever changed by it. My only hope is to bite down there, that by breaking the surface with my teeth it heals over with my venom.” He almost growled the word at you in his frustration and you swallowed, blinking in surprise.
“You’re going to be the one that turns me?” you questioned. Could he even do that? Did he have the self-control? You had thought Aro would do it if you were honest, though you couldn’t say you were over the moon to have that old coot’s teeth in your throat it was guaranteed to at least be safe. What right did Demetri have to steal your life? Why was he so angry over the thought of another vampire biting you? Had he claimed some weird sort of vampire dibs?
“Of course. The Volturi have laws they enforce but when it comes to affairs between mates, they leave well enough alone.” He informed you, head tilting. Your breath caught in your throat.
“Mates?” you whispered, mind reeling.
“You do not feel the pull?” he asked. He had yet to step back from you, unbearably close and yet somehow not close enough. For a moment you couldn’t say anything, simply trying to desperately scramble to think coherently enough to consider answering.
“I don’t…I barely know you, you can’t just…say that.” You stammered. Demetri very gently grasped your chin between his fingers, tilting your face upward so you were forced to maintain eye contact with him. You weren’t sure what he was searching for, if he found it or not, but he dropped your chin with a sigh.
“Pack, tesoro, we have little time.” He murmured. You were relieved when he stepped back – it gave you a chance to breathe.  Mate? Demetri thought you were his mate? You knew what that meant, Edward had explained to you what his connection with Bella was like after Riley had introduced you to his world, trying to help you understand how awful the months leading up to Bella’s running away to Italy had been for both of them. Is that why he had been so protective of you on the field? Is that why he was so furious another vampire had dared mark you? It crossed your mind then just how selfish your decision actually looked to the outside world. In your head, you had been saving your family from suffering, but to them it probably looked like you had chosen to run off with your mate because you didn’t trust they would take care of you. How were they ever going to forgive you for this?

4 times Johnny walkin in on someone +1 They walked in on Johnny
( Excuse my terribly writting )
....
1 .
At first he didnt understood Daniels annoyance of walking in on the kids making out or fooling around , They were kids once and by Johnny experience he had babes to makeout 24/7 . He told Daniel always announce to make your presence know .
Johnny didnt think it was necessary for the day he went to pickup his phone that he left behind at the dojo , there wasnt class that day but Daniel wanted to go over some stuff hence his missing phone .
He shouldve seen all the warnings signs but his brain was too tired to notice , it wasnt late but Johnny was tired maybe his age is catching up to him .
First sign was the car that was parked , the lights were on inside the dojo maybe Daniel stayed longer , the duffle bags and cellphones outside . He can blame that on his eyesight .
Sliding the door expecting Daniel inside going over some paperwork
" I left m-- oh God ! Diaz ! "
" Sensei ! What are you doing here ?! "
Why him ? Why , couldnt god just let Daniel suffer , he shouldve known his luck would finish now that he was dating that non stopping talking twink , that he dearly loved his mind supplied quickly .
He was outside waiting for the kids to step out outside to proceed to look for his phone . Diaz and little LaRusso shyly didntt catch his gaze , probably to embarrased getting caught fooling around by their sensei . He cant imagine getting caught making out with Daniel by Kreese , he supressed a shudder .
He tells them that he wont mention what happened if they kept their free time away from him , quickly agreeing little LaRusso hugs him quickly and dashes away with a sorry and Miguel in tow .
He goes back in quickly to find his phone to see if Daniel really had send that picture of him wearing his old Cobra Kai Jacket , wasnt a suprise that it fit him , he was still small .
.....
2 .
The second time, he walks in on  Hawk and Demetri at the Larusso's . Him and Daniel decided to move in together with Sam and Robby , And they had spare room where anthony could sleep when he's isnt staying with Amanda .
When hes not , Daniel lets Demetri stay in the room sometimes when the pale kid mother isnt home . He didnt quite like the kid that much , too much of a nerd he thought but Robby, Sam and Daniel liked him . Later on he sees that the skinny kid isnt that bad after all .
He takes  back his comment soon .
Johnny was bringing in some boxes in , too concetrated on bringing in his stuff he didnt see the motorcycle nor the shoes in the doorway .
What he sees in the living room , he thanks God for saving him from needing to bleach his eye if he had came in few seconds late to see what Hawk was planning to do .
" What the fuck ! "
" shit , shit , shit . "
He quickly cover his eyes and shifts around quickly leaves the house , he hears Demetris sorrys while Hawk laughs  and he does plan to never revisit what had happen but he will make Hawk do 50 extra push ups just for making Johnnys eyes suffer .
..... ..... .....
3 .
He loves Robby , he likes that he isnt like every kid . Robby is smart and kind with a big heart something Johnny wasnt . Although Daniel likes to remind him that Robby gets it from him and he's a good dad . He tries to be , He wants to be a good dad .
He was happy that him being with Daniel wouldnt affect Robby , Johnny was worried he would get mad but once he told him it looked like he told the kid he was giving him 10,000 dollar check .
When Daniel and him talked to Sam and Robby of the idea moving in together , Robby joked about calling Larusso dad now since they would be a family . He could tell Daniel wanted to cry from how happy that he heard those words .
Everything was almost done , mostly all his belongings were at the new house he just needed to pack his last few remaing clothes and some documents .
He does quick look around  his crappy empty aparment that he will soon leave behind , opening his door to his room he hears a noise across the other room . He brushes it off thinking is from the neighbors next door but then he hears something like if someone knocked down a vase . He quickly rushes across the room to open the door to beat the crap out of the intruder , what he sees is the opposite what he was expecting of the other side of the door .
" Robby ?! "
There was his inoccent pup in the lap of a boy on his bed , both without a shirts . He wonders how many years would he get in jail and if Daniel would go visit him .
" Dad ! What are you doing here !? "
Robby flushes , he guess it wasnt ideal to get caught by your parents .
" Im here to pick up whats left , what are you doing here with this guy , Get off his lap will you . Listen kid you got ten seconds to get out of here before Robby has to go visit me in jail . "
Robby quickly slides off  but not before handing a pillow to the guy to put on his lap .
" Dad , he's my boyfriend Doug , he's in our class re-- "
" Rickenberger ! Ok , i want you two to dress up and to step outside , Now ! . "
He didnt get a good look at first but when Robby mentioned it was his boyfriend he recognized the face of the tall kid . He tried to be menacing to scare the boy off and threaten him if he ever thought about hurting Robby . But the kid took it as a champ and did showed up for sunday dinner , and if his son is happy then he guess he will have control not to be an asshole to Doug .
....
4 .
Carmen had told him Yaya needed his help in moving a furniture at the apartment , and even gave him a spare key because she wouldnt be around because of her shifts.
Johnny loved YaYa , she was like a grandmother he never had . She always looked out after him , he was worried he wouldnt see her often now that he was living with Daniel . But soon Amanda announced her and Carmen started dating , soon Carmen , Miguel and Yaya sometimes  would join sunday dinner .
It was saturday morning and he was so comfortable with Daniel in his arms , soft sheets , nice big pillow and did he mention Daniel . It was nice morning especially from having a good night , he thinks they should have sex everynight .
He wanted to sleep more But he was a man of his word ,  well sometime when he tried , so with all his willpower he got up and showered and headed off .
Using the spare key they had given him,  he opens the door and walks in on Amanda and Carmen having some fun time in the couch , if it was another life he wouldve thought it was hot , but all he can think of right now he could've of been sleeping with Daniel .
" Shit ! Im sorry i will come back another time . "
He quickly leaves , the laughter of the two women is left behind while Johnny rushes off to his car .
..... ..... .....
+ 1 .
Nobody was home .
Only him and Daniel , Amanda and Carmen decided to take shannon to the new mall that opened , the kids wanted to go as well . Johnny was thrilled but Daniel was trying to convinced the kids to let the adults go and next time he would take them .
This was his opportunity , so he took it . Now here he was with an empty house with his babe . Johnny waits for Daniel to come out of the restroom , but he was taking way too long and he got hungry waiting for the suprise .
He went downstairs to quickly to get something to eat , opening the fridge he decides to make a sandwich .
" Johnny  , i told you to wait in the room . "
" I know , i just didnt know i was suppose to wait a year for you to come ou-- "
Closing the fridge to look at Daniel , He wasnt expecting for him to look so hot that it made him without words . Ever since he first met Daniel , his eyes were the first thing to catch his eye then his soft plump lips . His eyes were so big that it resembled Bambi , and thats what johnny calls Daniel when their alone .
One day he told Daniel he would look hot in a skirt but this was way better . Daniel had black stockings with one of his shirts that just swallowed Daniels frame and to the final touch he had a headband with antlers . Fuck that sandwich he was hungry for something else .
" You like it ? "
" I think thats an understatement , How about you come sit on my lap and let me show you how much i love it , Bambi . "
...
" Anthony stop that,  Dont bring that in ! "
Amanda yells , getting the keys out of her purse while the kids wait for her to open the door . They had to cut their day early because Anthony's friend got sick , she offered for the rest to stay at the mall but they preferred to go home . And if she knew what she was going to walk in , she would've brought out her phone to take pictures . And she only felt a little bit bad for Daniel but this was blackmail worthy .
" Oh wow , Daniel . "
Covering her sons eyes and making sure the rest eyes are closed , Johnny turns his head at their direction .
" Your back  early . "
Sam , Robby , Miguel are asking for bleach while Hawk and Demetri are laughing , Doug helps Robby go to the backyard as everyone else rushes outside to let Daniel change . Johnny thinks it was time for payback for all times they had to suffer but unfortunately Daniel wont escape Amanda's teasing any time soon .

Part 2
An:Finally after 3,00 years i finally finished this!! 😭😭
Tumblr media
"What do you mean she knew?! She's a human! You're telling me an innocent fragile human 18 year old could have known what those bloodsuckers are without even Edward knowing?!" Sam yelled loud enough for everyone upstairs to hear.
Seth rubbed my back as he and i sat on the edge of my bed."Hey,it's gonna be ok." I shrugged."He seems really mad though..and i know it's my fault.I should have just kept my mouth shut." He looked to leah for support. She sighed and stood infront of me,"Look i know Sam,He'll yell a bit, but once he gets it out of his system he'll be fine." I winced as he yelled again,"It's alright,I'm used to being yelled at anyways."
Leah clenched her jaw as she saw me wince once more at the sound of the men yelling,"Ok nevermind,I'm over it." She stated before leaving the room.
"Shut up already!" She yelled as she entered the kitchen where Jacob and Sam stood with heated tension
Both men froze and turned towards her,"What did-" she cut Jacob off.
"No shut up,(Y/n) is up there shaking like a leaf talking about how used to yelling she is,Now if you two don't shut up and go up there and talk to her like fucking adults then i swear to our ancestors that i will rip you two apart!" They both stared at her with wide eyes before nodding.
"Good, now go." She pointed upstairs, stepping aside to let them pass. They both gave eachother a confused look before walking upstaires,"I'm the alpha and she..." Sam started,"Don't,She'll hear you.." Jacob elbowed him before they stopped in the doorway. Seth pulled me in for a gentle hug before standing once he noticed the two watching."You better make things right." He whispered to the men before walking past them downstairs.
Jacob sat beside me while Sam leaned against the window seal across from us."So who wants to start..?" Jacob asked looking between me and sam. There was a sigh from across from me,"I will,(Y/n)-" he started gruffly, but once he saw me flinch his voice softened immediately."(Y/n)...i'm sorry for freaking out on you i just...this world can be a very dangerous place and monsters like the cullens are the reason why." I played with a string on the blanket, still not ready to look at them yet. "But they aren't monsters...they were nothing but nice to me.If they really were monsters they had many chances to hurt me." Sam pinched the bridge of his nose,Jacob decided to pick up from there."That may be true,But what Sam meant was all of the bloodsuckers can be very very dangerous to the living,That's why we protect this town from them. And it had been going perfectly fine before the cullens moved here." Staying silent for a moment i took a shaky breath and looked up at them,"Then am i a monster too..?"
He rubbed soothing circles onto my back and whispered calming words to me until i fell asleep,he tried his best to bury me under the blankets before they both left the room. By the time Jacob had carefuly shut the door and turned sam had already stormed his way downstairs.
Sam furrowed his brow and was quick to kneel down on one knee before me,holding my hands in his."Absolutely not! Why would you ever think that?"
He could see that my eyes were beginning to water."My..My father always told me that i-I was nothing but a monster since my mom passed...And when he got remarried it only got worse.." Sam's grip on my hands tightened slightly, once a reassuring gesture was now a protective hold.Jacob rubbed my back gently, urging me to continue. "He told me that my mom was nothing but a disgusting witch and that i should have died with her.." Sam growled in anger standing up and turning away as to not frighten me more. 'If i ever get my hands on that disgusting bastard.' He thought clenching his fists until his knuckles turned white. Jacob put me on his lap and held me to his chest, only when my neck was buried in his chest did i allow the tears to fall.
"O-Oh hey (Y/n), i didn't even heard you come down." He stuttered traying to regain his composure. "Sorry..i got hungry.." My eyes were still red and puffy,my usually bright expression had now become the same deppressed look that i had first come with. 'Just when she was getting better.Damnit Sam.' He thought before smiling softly at me."How about i make you something to eat then? The others are at school and Emily is visiting my mom right now." I nodded,"And those wolves?" He knew exactly who i meant. "They uh..." He wanted to lie but he knew i wouldn't believe him."I have a feeling you already know..." I merely nodded."I knew since i met Sam at the diner, but i could tell you guys didn't want to tell me." He shook his head."No it's not that,we just wanted to protect you ,after everything you've been through we were afraid it might be too much. But after everything that's happened today i think we've already crossed that line." He rubbed his arm in embarrassment.
"I am going to find that bastard and rip him to shreds." Leah nodded in agreement, "And I'm all for it but how are we going to find him Sam,we can't exactly track him in town like this." Leah said rolling her eyes.
Sam raked his hands through his dark hair and shut his eyes tight. He absolutely hated what he was about to suggest. "We need to ask the bloodsuckers for help." Jacob crossed his arms,"Their not exactly the best trackers either Sam.They couldn't even find Victoria when she was in the woods nearby, who knows whether or not this guy already ditched town ." Leah shrugged."I agree but it's worth a shot, right? I don't like the cullens either, well Esme is tolerable, but they might be the best chance of catching this guy as quick as possible." Sam thought for a moment,"It's then decided,Seth you stay here with (Y/n).Leah,Jacob,with me." Running out of the house the three shifted before heading towards the treaty line. Seth watched for a moment before turning to head upstairs,He yelped when he saw me standing behind him with a blanket wrapped around my shoulders.
"Where did they go?" He debated lying again,"They...They went to ask they cullens for help.." I raised a brow,"With..?" He took a deep breath,"Finding your parents."
"They won't find them." I said walking to the kitchen table and sitting down."What do you mean?" I sighed."He and his wife had bags packed when they left me on that road...their long gone by now.." He watched me as i stared down at the table, tears freely fell down my face but i just looked so tired. He sat next to me and placed his hand over mine,"You're apart of our family now,Wether you like it or not." He smiled proudly when i let out a chuckle. "It feels nice..to be wanted..thank you.." He fought back tears himself but a few escaped when he smiled wider."You never have to thank me,you're stuck with me now." He pulled me into a hug, lifting me out of my seat and twirling me around like a goofball. When he finally let me down he ruffled my hair, content with the joyful smile that replaced the saddened frown."Now lets get you something to eat."
When the 3 wolves arrived at the treaty line they saw that Carlisle,Alice and Edward were waiting for them. Carlisle stepped forward,"Alice told us you would need us,What is your plan." Edward relayed to them everything the wolves had told him.He shared a look with Carlisle,"If we ask them..do you think they would actually help?" Edward asked. Carlisle sighed,"It is worth a shot,Demetri is the best tracker in the world.Plus Aro owes me a favor-" he was cut off by Sam's growling.Carlisle looked to Edward for answers,"He is upset that you would even think of asking the Volturi." Carlisle turned to the wolves,"They might be our best option of finding (Y/n)'s father,Demetri can find people that are across the entire planet by smelling them or something with their scent once.I would rather not involve them but i fear we do not have any other choice,Charlie reported that even the police cannot find any traces of her parents." The wolves growled at eachother.
"You can't honestly be thinking of agreeing Sam!" Leah hissed. "After everything the Volturi has done, whose to say they won't just decide to kill her instead." Jacob roared. "They won't,to them she's just a innocent human that doesn't know anything, they don't need to know anything else." Edward said to Sam. Hesitantly Sam nodded,"Don't make me regret this." He threatened.
It took 2 days for the letter to reach the Volturi, and it took 4 days for Alice to recieve a vision."Their coming." She said entering the living room where everyone was waiting. It was silent until Emmet asked the one question on everyones mind.
"Who did they send?"

Three months had passed since AJ and Carlisle exchanged their vows and left for their honeymoon in Croatia, they were only supposed to stay one month but decided to stay for an additional two months, they only leave the house at night to go hunt or spend time on the beach.
AJ pulls the curtains aside making sure that she stood to the side so the sun wouldn't hit her, her fingers shine as the sun begins going down, it wouldn't be long now before they could go out and enjoy themselves.
"What are you doing, love?" Carlisle asks, AJ closes the curtain and turns to look at him.
"Seeing if the sun is setting," AJ says, Carlisle smiles at her and pulls her away from the curtains.
"We can leave in a few minutes," Carlisle says, AJ nods her head
"All right," AJ says, her phone begins vibrating on the dining table, she picks it up and saw Alice's name on the screen. "It's Alice."
"Answer it," Carlisle says.
"Alice?" AJ answers the phone.
"AJ, thank goodness you answered," Alice says, AJ could hear the panic in her voice.
"What's wrong?" AJ asks.
"It's Edward, He's going to the Volturi," Alice says.
"Why?" Carlisle asks becoming worried.
"I had a vision of Bella, she jumped off a cliff so I went back to Forks to make sure she's still Alice, but Rosalie told Edward that Bella had killed herself and now he's on his way to the Volturi," Alice explains.
"He can't just get himself killed," AJ says.
"I'll meet you in Italy, stay alive and keep Edward alive," AJ says, she ends the call.
"I will not allow you to go to Italy." Carlisle says.
"This right now isn't debatable, Carlisle," AJ says. "I intend to keep all members of this family alive, Go back to Forks, get everyone back to Forks." AJ picks up everything she needed to enter Volterra, making sure she had something to cover her skin as well. "I'm going to bring them back home alive." She turns to the door about to leave.
"AJ, please," Carlisle says grabbing her hand, she turns to face him.
"I love you so much, Carlisle," AJ says. "Now close your eyes." Carlisle closes his eyes and AJ softly kisses him before disappearing, he opens his eyes finding himself to be alone in the house.
•••
AJ enters the throne room silencing everyone, AJ looks around the room and saw Demetri holding Alice by her throat while Felix held Edward in a chokehold and Aro stood in front of Bella.
"My apologies, I guess I'm a little bit late to the party," AJ says. "Mhm, I would have thought that this would be the cleanest room in the entire castle, but it appears that it's falling apart." AJ walks towards Bella and Aro.
"AJ, you shouldn't have come." Edward chokes out, AJ ignores him as she comes to a stop next to Bella.
"My oh my..." Aro says looking at AJ. "I have seen you in Edward's mind, I just wish it was under better circumstances." Aro glances at Bella. "But nevertheless, I am still happy to meet you, I just never imagined you to be this..." Aro looks AJ up and down. "Small."
"I might be small, but the deadliest poison comes in the smallest bottle," AJ says.
"What is your connection to this human?" Caius demands.
"Currently, nothing, in the future, her mother-in-law," AJ says, Aro extends his hand out for her, AJ places her hand in his allowing him to read her mind.
"Remarkable," Aro says.
"What is it, Aro?" Caius asks.
"Her gift, it is very rare, dear brother," Aro says, Aro turns to look at Caius. "She can compel almost any being on this earth."
"Impossible!" Caius hisses out.
"It is not a brother." Aro says. "She is the wife of our dear friend, Carlisle." Bella glances at AJ but quickly looks back at Aro. "I believe a congratulation is in order, it is a shame that we were not invited."
"It was supposed to be a small wedding, just family," AJ says.
"We are like family, dear Audrianna," Aro says.
"Close family, Vampire I know personally and I do not know you personally," AJ says. "But I'll remember to invite you when we renew our vows." That surely pissed them off.
"We shall be there," Aro says.
"I came to save my family, Aro, not make small talk," AJ says.
"She's not your family," Aro says, Aro was about to grab Bella but AJ pulls Bella behind her.
"She will be, mark my words," AJ growls at him, Alex and Jane stand ready to attack her but Aro stops them. "Let my family go."
"We can not do that, she's human." Aro states.
"Bella will be one of us," Alice says. "I've seen it, I'll change her myself." AJ glances at Edward before looking over her shoulder at Alice, Aro holds his hand out for her and Demetri releases her, Alice walks up to Aro removing her glove and places her hand in his.
"Mesmerizing." Aro begins. "To see what you have seen before it has happened." Aro releases Alice's hand and looks at Bella. "Your gifts will make for an intriguing immortal, Isabella." Bella moves away from Aro as he tries to touch her, AJ glares at him giving him a clear warning. "All right, go now, make your preparations." Aro steps away from them and Felix pushes Edward away from him.
"Let us be done with this," Marcus says as he stands. "Heidi will arrive at any moment, thank you for your visit."
"We will return the favour, I would advise you to follow through on your promises soon, we do not offer second chances," Caius says, the four of them leave the room.
"Goodbye young friends, and AJ, send Carlisle our congratulations," Aro says, Demetri leads them down a hallway.
"Nice fishing, Heidi," Demetri says as a bunch of tourists came marching down the hall.
"Yes, they do look rather juicy," Heidi says.
"Save some for me," Demetri says, Heidi smiles at him while leading the group of tourists.
"Right this way, and stay together," Scream flow through the hallway a few minutes later.

Genetically transmitted (Volturi x Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were the hybrid biological child of Demetri Volturi. You became his pride and joy when it was discovered that you had his own ability with your own little twist. You weren't as powerful as your father. You had to know someone by name or face to track them. This meant you weren't the best at tracking strangers- that was your father's ability.
The Volturi used you for more modern investigation. A prime example would be now. It was bizarre for a anyone to keep a laptop and other devices in a barn but then again, it made sense. Who would look for such a thing in a barn? Rumor had it this nomad was being reckless with his feeding and the proof would be, no doubt, in his belongings. Alec and Felix were your look outs as you searched each device and through the vampires belongings. You all were aware of the suspicious man walking around. You being half human, he could still hurt you and you were terrified. Therefore, the quicker you got this done, the sooner you get to leave.
You weren't the best hacker, you knew the basics and had gotten very good with technology over the years. You weren't too proud of it. You had been raised better. Nevertheless, you would do it for the Volturi. The nomad was a woman, she'd been changed three years ago judging by the missing persons information. Hm. Newborn. Social media was a gold mine and it was very stupid of this nomad to be keeping tabs on her old life. Her history alone told you exactly what kind of person she was. This wasn't for sentiment. Looking through private messages, she was actually rather narcissistic. She loved the attention she was getting. She was using family members accounts to check on her own account. However, you hit a dead end on the terms of anything criminal within the vampire world. It was then that you knew you'd have to dig through her laptop files. This kind of person was significantly easier. They're often to engrossed with themselves that they don't consider the possibility of digging their own graves. You suddenly looked up, alarmed. "... He's coming back." You said chewing the inside of your cheek nervously and around a minute later he walked past the door giving you a little wave. After a moment, Felix told you he was gone and to continue but you hesitated and looked up at them. "I can't. I can't until I know we're safe." "Don't worry, you're completely safe." Alec said nodding at the laptop. "Go on, we won't let anything, including you, out of our sight." You continued. You went through emails and the secrecy of a few with a particular person was highly suspicious, but that wasn't enough to consider as proof. You checked the trash bin and photos, her documents and that was where the mistakes had been made. There were pictures that had been sent to the same email address of a man who was dead and with the added letter that she killed many of them and that the town was getting suspicious from previous attacks. The police weren't so sure they're animal anymore and she didn't know how to get rid of the body. You had found your proof and you jumped when the strange man once again was approaching. You looked up at Alec and Felix. Alec gestured for you to move back, out of sight. "Keep going." He said quietly as he 'unintentionally' pulled the door further in so that inside wasn't visible anymore. You heard the man ask some questions but you didn't catch what he actually asked. Felix seemed to humour him, giving him responses and Alec chiming in every so often. You found another email that was responding, revealing that this was not the first time this had happened. You basically had all you needed. You waited for the man to leave before peeking out from behind the door, to tell them you were done. The three of you briskly left.
"Was that man a vampire? The strange one that kept walking around." "Yes, he was acting a little suspicious if you ask me." Felix said. "He was walking around, just out of earshot like he was on patrol." You said. "another suspect, but don't worry. You did well, it's in our hands now." Alec put a hand on your shoulder.
"Welcome home." Demetri smiled at you immediately pulling you closer to him so that he could kiss the top of your head. "Dad." You mumbled, mostly to yourself as you encased him in a hug. You finally felt safe. "I did it, dad." You smiled up at him. "I did it." Demetri smiled down at you warmly, he loved that even now you still sought his approval even though he was capable of giving you nothing less than his approval. He still saw you as his baby. "(Y/N), let's go." Alec said making you pull away and hurry to catch up with him. Felix and Demetri, following behind. "Young (Y/N), I hope that lovely smile is telling me success." Aro grinned and planted a kiss to your cheek, his hands on your shoulders. Out the corner of your eye, you saw Alec lock fingers with Jane. "Delightful!" Aro praised. "We'll be sending for our nomadic troublemaker soon. Brothers, (Y/N) did very well." "Good. I expect nothing less." Caius was never one for praise but after many years of living under the same roof. You knew he meant well, deep down...very far down. Marcus on the other hand didn't even seem to be listening. "Go now, I'm sure you're glad to be home." You nodded, beaming at him before leaving. Demetri patted you on the shoulder as you left, nodding at you. Silently praising you. "Oh and (Y/N)..." You halted at the sound of Caius' voice. You tried to hide your nerves as you spun lightly to face him. "My wife has been asking for you. I'm sure she'd appreciate the visit." Your eyes lit up and nodded profusely turning to the other double doors.
You always needed Caius' permission to visit Athenodora much to her annoyance. She practically raised you when Demetri couldn't be around. In your younger years, you remembered being carried around by Jane or Alec to be watched over by Athenodora. Or even Heidi having you attached to her hip for hours at a time. You didn't like Heidi as much as Athenodora since you had to witness the flirtatious relationship between her and your father. As you grew older, you found out there was a particular way Demetri would thank her for watching you. You would shiver when you finally understood what Heidi meant when she told Demetri to come to her door when being a father was too stressful. You were relieved as you were pretty sure neither of the two knew that you knew the nature of their relationship.
You always forgot just how many stairs you would have to climb to visit the wives. It was a tower of winding staircases that seemed like they went for miles when you were smaller. You remembered Afton lightly teasing you for it as he'd lift you and with some superhuman speed, you had arrived in no time. When you finally reached the top, you were met with Afton grinning. "Welcome home, I'm glad to see you made it." You knew the last part was about the stairs and your eyes narrowed on him. "That's mean." "Not at all! As a matter of fact, I was going to call down some words of encouragement to you." He grinned as he opened the door for you. "You're mean!" You called back to him and after another narrow hallway, you were met with Chelsea and Corin, standing outside the door. They smiled at you and gestured for you to go in, keeping it a secret as to who was outside the door. You heard a light. "Is that...?" And you knocked. The door opened to Reneta who immediately stepped out of the way and there was Athenodora herself. Athenodora's face lit up when she saw you and you rushed to her giving her a hug. "I have been pestering my husband for five days now, looking for you, only to find out that he sent you away after the first two. I promised him I'd never let him forget it." "I missed you." You smiled as you felt her tight embrace. "and I missed you, sweetheart." She kissed the top of your head. She was always taller than you since she wore high heeled boots under her long dated dress that was at least the 1700s. "Athena, if you don't mind, I'd like to see them too." Sulpicia said from her seat, her back to you. Athenodora huffed, letting you go so that you could make your way to Sulpicia. You leaned down, draping one arm across her as she kissed your cheek with her cherry red lips and you pulled away. It was always brief with Sulpicia whilst Athenodora would never let you go. Then again...she had always wanted a child.
Unsurprisingly, she didn't let you go for the next two hours. She always had her hand on you as though you'd disappear. There was a brief knock before Caius entered with Demetri standing in the doorway. "Hello, my love." Athenodora smiled at Caius, reaching out for his hand with her free one. "My dear." Caius nodded to her, taking her hand to his chest. You smiled at Caius before a wider one grew at the sight of your father. "Pardon my interrupting, but I can't help but notice the time...it's late, (Y/N)." Demetri gave you the look, his father senses were spiking up but that didn't stop the smile on his face. You whined as Athenodora raked a hand through your hair. "I say so because I care, my dear. I didn't think I'd be suggesting a bedtime when you're this age either." "So...to be clear, are you telling me to go to bed?" Demetri smirked. "Not necessarily, you only need a few hours of sleep remember but it's late and I do think it's time to go." Immediately, Athenodora pulled you into her so that she could kiss your temple before releasing you. "Come back soon, (Y/N)! Don't let my husband stop you!" Caius immediately looked at his wife who gave him a stern look. "I will ensure the next visit is much sooner." You heard him say as you headed out the door to leave with Demetri.
Demetri pulled you into his side as you both headed back down from the tower, bidding goodnight to Afton as you did so. "Imagine that, I worry for my child for three days and I'm the last to get proper time with you." You squealed as Demetri tickled your side as he teased you. "You were the first to see me when I got home!" "I got to say 'hello' and that is it. I'm your father, you're supposed to agree with me." You giggled as you took his arm. "I'll be leaving soon with Felix. I decided to grab you whilst I still could." "Who's babysitting me this time?" You groaned. "You haven't been since you were very young!" Demetri responded. "Dad, I know you. I could be a hundred years old and you'll still ask someone to keep an eye on me." "You're my baby. It's my job to ensure your safety." "I haven't been a baby in a very long time." "(Y/N), you'll always be my baby. We've had this conversation so get over it." Demetri squeezed you before opening your door. "Afton will be checking on you every so often. I won't be gone long, it's a retrieval after all." You nodded before flopping onto your bed. "Graceful." Demetri commented. You pointed at him. "That's not nice."    There was a moment of silence. "Do you think Jane and Alec will mind my company?" "I'm sure they'd have told you by now if they did." Demetri understood where you were coming from, you didn't have many to speak to. "Darling, if anyone were to give you trouble, you know they'd have hell to pay." You decided to ignore the detail that Jane and Alec didn't count but...they were the closest to your age. "Anyways, now that I think of it, Jane will be coming with us. So really you'd be asking Alec." Demetri added. Alec was nice enough to you but you knew he'd be missing his twin. "I hope you're not worrying what Alec would think. No dating and romantic relations yet, (Y/N)." "Dad!" You whined. "It's not even like that!" "It better not be. Now hurry up, get changed." You huffed and got up heading to your drawers and then your bathroom. "Attitude!" Was Demetri's remark.

In which Marcus becomes a father and the entire guard aren’t sure what to be more scared of, the child, or his smile, once again inspired by the amazing @darkforestimagines
“The festival always has the best food. So many different choices.” Felix laughs wiggling his eyebrows as he gestures to the mass of cloaked people moving around the various food stalls that are set up. Demetri rolls his eyes and watches the figures make their way towards the square, he can see Heidi pulling people for the tour and he points a family towards her trying to be casual about eyeing the mother of the group. “You always do like the pretty ones.” Felix jabs him in the side and they melt into the alleyway moving towards the tunnels. They meet Jane and Alec halfway towards the throne room, both of them snapping that they need to help Heidi gather more food. “Aww are you two hungry?” Felix coos leaning down, he’s screaming, frozen bent over in pain. “Yes.” Jane and Alec turn back the way they came. “Was that worth it?” Demetri rolls his eyes as Felix nods. “Worth it every time; no matter how powerful they are they’re still kids at heart.” “Yes, which means you shouldn’t antagonize them. Or they’ll go running to ‘dad’ claiming insubordination.” “Which dad? Caius or Aro?” “Pray it’s Aro.” Demetri throws the cover off the manhole as they reappear into the alley, cutting through the crowd to meet up with Heidi. “Good job, need help?” Felix smirks at her. “Kids getting cranky then?” Demetri nods. Heidi laughs gathering her ‘tour group’ and starting the procession towards the underground tunnel area. “Demetri and Felix are starting two other tours if you want to join up with them!” Heidi calls out and they scowl at her as they’re swarmed with people. “Alright, twenty of you over here, and twenty there! We’ll be waiting a bit longer and-“ “Alright! Everyone step up and come take our tour!” Demetri scowls at Felix who jumps on the fountain shouting to the crowd. They end up with a group of fifty people. Demetri notes Felix scowling at the uptake of children; he’d never enjoyed hurting them. “Mr. Tour guide sir!” Demetri turns to see a fairly young child nervously playing with the hood of her cape, hiding her face shyly. “Yes dear?” He leans down trying his best to smile at her. “Ms. Heidi said I wasn’t able to go on the other tour, she told me to wait here, but I wanna go on the tour with you!!!” She beams up at him and Demetri swallows, chasing away the thoughts of Marcus’ mate, the sketches he does of her throughout her life as though it might bring her back. He curses Heidi as he turns back to the child with a dead vampires face. “Well we do have a lot of people going on these tours. So maybe you can wait till the next one?” “But my mom and dad already went on the tour! They won’t wanna go again.” Demetri sets his jaw nodding. “Well then, how about we give you special treatment.” He catches her eyes; winking as he gestures to Felix. “Felix.” He waits till Felix catches sight of her face, he can see the recognition flicker as he too banishes the thoughts of her familiarity. “Well, well. Demetri you didn’t tell me we had a princess visiting?” Felix hisses in his ear about her family, he wipes the scowl as Demetri gestures to the tunnels. The girl squeals, clapping her hands as Felix swings her up on his shoulders voice booming. “Attention all current tour members! We have an exceptional performance for you! We’ve just been informed from St. Marcus himself that we have the princess Didyme visiting us!” Felix cringes to himself as Demetri shoots him a death glare, he shrugs nervously. “Mr. Tour Guide, my names not Didyme.” “It’s pretend, do you want to pretend with us for a little bit?” The girl nods. “My name’s Gemma, just so you know!” Felix nods, turning towards the tunnels lifting their new Didyme down and carefully holds her hand as they start through the tunnels. Demetri launches into the tour speech, repeating everything Heidi had coached him in. “Alright now, as the princess in order to protect you from the scary vampires you’ll have to hide in my cloak, okay? Since I’m your guard.” The girl nods, face twisting with fear but smoothing out in trust. Demetri refuses to think of how her face is set; mimicking the look of knowing death is near. Felix recoils at her face and shrugs it off just as quickly. Felix passes her to Demetri and he tucks her seamlessly into his cloak, she giggles as they walk and a few people question where she went. “You have to be quiet alright. No matter what; and don’t look out from my cape until after I give it two taps okay?” She nods excited as the groups start to move closer to the throne room. Demetri continues talking desperately trying not to think about the girl tucked under his cloak. Demetri relaxes when he makes it behind the thrones, standing in position; shielded by the thrones themselves he covers the girls ears with his hands. Aro calls everyone to order and Marcus moves forward, his robes billowing out. Felix and Demetri cringe when one of the guests questions him about Didyme. “Were you two telling them unrelated facts?” Aro laughs. “No sir, they simple asked about St. Marcus’ personal life. We told them of his wife Didyme is all.” ‘Yes! It was quiet amazing!! Where is that girl anyways? Or is she part of the production.” Demetri can hear the jabber from all of the humans looking around. He can see Aro’s interest peak. “Demetri, Felix, where is the girl?” He laughs a little as they’re both about to shrug he holds his hand out. “Come now.” Demetri swallows touching Aro’s hand. Aro brushes his cloak back, the girl has put up her hood and grips Demetri’s leg. “Now now, Didyme is that any way to greet your brother?” He laughs again and the girl peeks from under her hood scowling at him. Aro pulls her towards him and she does not fight. He’s about to bring her down with the rest of the humans when a hand stops him. Marcus’ hand grips Aro’s wrist, his face contorted into a snarl. “Not this one dear brother. She’ll sit with me.” Aro’s smile falters, nodding uncomfortably as Marcus pulls the girl back, sitting her on his lap and asking her questions about her day as if the entirety of it is completely normal. Aro continues with his performance, and Marcus carefully pulls the girl to turn to look at him, covering her ears. Demetri is thankful, as the screams start moments later and then he no longer cares for thoughts other than food. He returns to his position behind the thrones nervously glancing to Felix as Aro turns to Marcus and the girl. “You must admit the resemblance is uncanny.” Caius watches as Marcus lets her play with his hair. “Marcus what is she doing?” “I think she’s trying to braid his hair sir.” Felix answers for him Marcus too absorbed in the child’s wide smile to bother with his brothers. “Well get rid of it, the child, and his smile to be fair they’re both unnerving me. Send her back to her parents.” Caius waves his hand dismissively. “Sir her parents are ah, under the grate.” “Well she will have to stay here then.” Marcus is so casual about the statement Felix has to remind himself she’s a human child. “Sir are-“ Demetri starts but Marcus cuts him off. “Demetri, perfect, as my guard I’m now giving you a new assignment, guard Ms.,” “My name’s Gemma Mr. Marcus!” “Guard Ms. Gemma as you guarded Didyme please.” Demetri swallows nervously looking to Aro whose eyes narrow. “Of course sir.” Demetri nervously takes Gemma as she yawns hoping one of the many spare rooms they have will be safe and far enough from the other vampires. “Sir, you might want to do something about your hair as well.” “Are the braids not fitting for the festival?” Demetri shakes his head. “They would be sir. But she’s tied your hair in knots instead.” “She’s still learning of course. We have much to teach you young Gemma.” Marcus stands and the entire guard recoil as he smiles, carefully taking Gemma’s hand and letting Demetri lead them to her new home.

A Flight of Fancy Ch 3
Fandom: Twilight Pairing: Aro/Bella Rating: M
Intro: Here Previous: Here
Chapter Summary: In which the majority of the players take their places or In which Aro’s magpie tendencies flare up with a vengeance.
Bella wasn’t sure what about her had snagged the Cullens’ attention, but she couldn’t help but feel a little flattered. And scared. She bit down on a slice of apple, chewing thoughtfully. There were high expectations when it came to people that were as pretty as the family she was being introduced to, no matter how friendly a few of them seemed. She wasn’t sure she could meet those expectations. They drove nice cars, they wore nice clothes, they had nice…everything. Meanwhile, she was decidedly not nice, at least not in comparison. It wasn’t like she was going to change for them any time soon, either.
She liked her beat up truck, she liked her comfortable worn-out jeans, and she liked being able to blend in the background, which was very much not possible with the kind of friends she was likely going to be spending more time with. Bella nearly bit her tongue at the tail end of her thought. It was a little presumptuous to call them friends already, wasn’t it? It didn’t matter what Alice thought they would be – the fact of the matter was that they weren’t yet. But she wasn’t exactly going to become friends with them if she spent all her time worrying about how they were different, now was she?
As she spent her time mentally spinning in circles, the Cullens sat at their table, sending her surreptitious glances. Jasper chuckled softly to himself, and Alice nudged him slightly to get his attention.
“What’s so funny?”
“She’s spinnin’ herself in a tizzy. Most prominent is anxiety in that emotional cocktail of hers.”
Rosalie snorted. “Good. Maybe the silly little human has some self-preservation instinct after all.”
“Rose!” Alice hissed quietly.
“You’re making a mistake, Alice,” Rosalie hissed back. “We’ve never gotten close with one of them before. Why are we doing it now?”
Emmett wrapped an arm around her shoulder, rubbing gently in an attempt to soothe.
“Rosie, there shouldn’t be any harm as long as we’re careful, right? It’ll be great! We can think of it like…intense practice.”
“This isn’t a risk we should be taking,” Rosalie insisted with a fierce scowl. “We’re already pushing it just by caging ourselves in here like sardines with what amounts to a buffet served on a silver platter.”
Jasper’s face screwed up in discomfort and Alice patted his hand gently before frowning at Rosalie with disapproval.
“We know what the risk is, but we’re better than that, and you don’t need to remind us. This is worth it!”
“Why?” came the quiet question to Alice’s left. She looked over at Edward, taking in his unhappy expression.
Emmett looked confused.
“Shouldn’t you know? I mean you can see, can’t you?”
The look Edward shot Alice was pointed. “No.”
Alice shrugged sheepishly. Okay, so she’d been a little evasive ever since Bella had become a focal point of her visions. But she knew that if Edward saw her visions, he wouldn’t understand. He’d try to protect what didn’t need protecting, and that was the last thing she wanted, because if he did, there would only be a lot more grief that no one needed.
“Some things should remain surprises,” she murmured with a soft smile. Jasper squeezed her hand and she flipped it over to lace their fingers together. He leaned toward her and whispered, too low for even the other vampires to hear.
“She’s goin’ to change everything, isn’t she?”
A small nod was his only answer and he squeezed again, ghosting a kiss on the crown of her head. He wasn’t comfortable with having a human so close, but he had to trust Alice to keep him, and everyone else – especially Edward – in check. The boy felt as uncomfortable as he did, and Jasper could tell he didn’t appreciate being left in the dark with Alice on top of his inability to read his singer’s mind. But underneath the frustration, he could detect a growing sense of curiosity. He wasn’t sure how good that curiosity would be. Curiosity did, after all, kill the cat – but the cat would be the human in this scenario.
“I hope you know what you’re doing,” he mumbled.
Aro and Demetri stood in front of the door to the Cullens’ home, Jane sent back to Italy for a rest. Forks was an acceptable place to be – dark, safe for beings such as himself and those he intended to visit. He silently applauded Carlisles choice. It afforded him and his coven the freedom to move as they pleased, and for a moment, Aro wished he possessed that freedom. But what need had he of freedom, what need had he of the outside world, when all the world’s power lay in his grasp within the confines of Volterra’s castle? He dismissed the feeling like an errant fly.
Barely a moment had passed before the door opened, a woman with golden eyes and hair the color of caramel standing in the doorway. A quick glance told him that this vampire was married, and she carried the scent of Carlisle on her clothes. His mate, then.
“Hello, how may I help you?”
Her tone was friendly, but her body language was cautious. A good mate, being wary of strange males. Of course, she likely knew who he was, but instinct was a difficult thing to ignore in vampires.
“Yes, my dear, I was hoping that Carlisle would be home. You are his lovely mate, I presume?”
She smiled and bowed her head in a way that Aro thought was abashed.
“I am. My name is Esme.” She lifted her head, her posture relaxing minutely. “May I similarly presume that you are Aro?”
“Quite correct. Would it be alright if I came in, along with my companion Demetri?”
“Oh of course! Make yourselves at home. I called Carlisle as soon as I knew you were here; he should be home soon, as should the rest of my children.”
Aro blinked.
“Children?”
Esme held a hand up to her mouth, hiding a smile at the curious look on Aro’s face.
“Yes, our coven functions a little…differently. Carlisle and I have assumed the role of protectors, or parents. Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, Jasper, and Edward are our ‘children’.”
“I see. How curious!” he exclaimed, his hands clasping together. His eyes narrowed in thought, then he took a step toward her, holding out a hand. “May I?”
The request was innocent enough, but Esme couldn’t help but feel that it was less of a request and more of an order. Perhaps it was just the way he carried himself. He had the air of a man that always got what he wanted, and knowing his position in their world, he probably did.
She knew he had tactile telepathy. There was nothing she had that she wanted to hide, but still…it made her feel oddly vulnerable to know that he’d see everything she had seen. At least Edward’s ability was only surface level. Gulping silently, she acquiesced, and he reached forward, engulfing her small hand within his larger ones. His eyes bored into hers, but it didn’t seem that he was actually looking at her; rather, he was looking through her. After a couple of seconds, he pulled away, his eyes glinting strangely.
“Fascinating…”
Her freed hand curled up near her chest, her earlier wariness creeping back. Call it mother’s intuition. Aro seemed to notice, but said nothing, simply smiling peacefully.
“I was actually in the middle of designing a new home when you arrived, so I’d very much like to return to that - I hope you don’t mind.”
Aro’s smile widened. She wasn’t lying, of course – she knew better than to lie. But what a lovely concept, to design one’s own homes. She put an astounding amount of thought into her creations, even for a vampire.
“Not at all, dear Esme. In fact, I hope you do not mind if I join you? I’m afraid I do not have much to do in the time that I will be waiting for Carlisle.”
“Oh…yes, of course,” she said cordially. “Please, follow me.”
Esme had long ago become numb to things such as cold or heat, but in that moment, as Aro smiled at her, she couldn’t help but feel ice crawling down her spine.
Carlisle sat behind the desk in his study, Aro lounging in the chair before him. The elder vampire’s eyes roved around the walls of the room, gleaming with what he could only assume was approval.
“It’s not often that I get to see you outside of Volterra’s walls, Aro. May I ask what the occasion is?”
“Ah, so even you suspect me of ill intent, dear friend. I’m saddened, but not entirely surprised. It has, after all, been many years.”
Carlisle looked both ashamed and concerned.
“No, friend, nothing like that. I’m simply surprised. You’ve never made it a point to be too far from home.”
Aro barely lifted his shoulders in a shrug, one leg crossing over the other.
“I have a member of the Guard that passed through this area and reported that you were here,” he said off-handedly. “I was rather overtaken with excitement and could not control the impulse to see for myself.”
His cloudy red eyes drifted toward his lap, his fingers lacing together over his knee and his voice dropping to a murmur.
“You are one of my dearest friends, so I’ll have to ask that you forgive me for not being able to contain my joy.”
“Aro…” Carlisle said softly, not quite sure what to say.
Those red eyes shot back up to the younger vampire, and the moment of weakness was gone, a bright smile morphing his features. Carlisle almost felt whiplash from how quickly it had happened and wondered how his friend could change disposition so quickly.
“Worry not, Carlisle. Demetri and I will not trouble you for very long. I simply wished to catch up and meet this wonderful…family…of yours.”
“Aro, don’t think that you are on a time limit. You are more than welcome to spend time with us – I just wasn’t expecting it, that’s all.”
“We both know that isn’t necessarily true, now don’t we?” came the quick response, smooth as silk. Carlisle had to resist raising his hackles.
“I’m sorry?”
“I have made contact with both you and your lovely mate, Esme. My arrival was hardly unexpected, dear friend. You had forewarning from one of your coven mates.” He paused. “Family members, I beg your pardon,” he corrected with a faint twist of his lips, as if the phrase sat strangely in his mouth.
“Not only that,” he continued, feeling excitement grow beneath his breast, “but this young woman wished that your resident telepath not know of my presence until there were no other potential paths to take. Why is that?”
Carlisle looked perturbed, his mouth pinched into a fine line.
“We don’t know. Alice has been very cagey in letting us know what she saw. The only thing she informed us about was that you were going to be visiting.”
Just then, his cell phone began to ring and he answered it without looking, his voice becoming cool and professional.
“This is Carlisle Cullen speaking.”
Aro briefly considered if that was what he would sound like all the time if he had embraced his nature instead of fighting it. But then he would no longer be Carlisle, would he? He had become so fond of Carlisle because he was different from the rest of his kind – he had retained his humanity while the rest of them, including himself, had abandoned it and embraced the monster inside.
“Carlisle, it’s Alice,” said the voice on the phone. “I’m bringing a friend home from school. Her name is Bella Swan, Chief Swan’s daughter from Arizona.”
For a moment, Carlisle was uncharacteristically struck dumb, his mouth opening and closing twice before recovering.
“Alice, you know we have company already…”
“I know, I’m the one that told you. It will be fine, I promise. I’ve seen it. Oh, here she comes now. I’ll be bringing her by around seven for dinner. We can all hunt before then to prevent any mishaps,” came the speedy reply before the line abruptly cut off.
Carlisle stared at the phone, then at Aro, and the excitement blooming in Aro’s chest exploded. She was going to be at the house tonight. What fortune! He kept his expression placid and raised a brow in question. His friend was silent for another moment, seemingly at a loss.
“I…suppose we’re having a guest.”
Aro smiled.
“Please, tell me more about this…guest,” he purred, leaning back in his chair.
“Aro,” Carlisle immediately started, half caution, half plead, “she’s not for…for eating.”
The elder vampire’s snort was derisive.
“Judging by the still-unusual color of your eyes, I had assumed as much. Please do not think so little of me.”
“I was actually thinking about you when I said that. I don’t want you or Demetri to think that she can be picked off at the earliest convenience. It’s not just her, either. We have a treaty with the Quileute tribe that no vampires will hunt humans in Forks and the surrounding forests, so for our sakes, please hunt outside of the area.” Aro graciously accepted that, and Carlisle continued. “She knows nothing about us, I can promise you that, and it will stay that way.”
‘For now’, Aro thought to himself rather smugly, then paused again. There he was again, thinking of her being a vampire as he was. She was yet young, barely entering the tender age of seventeen. Older than Jane, but younger than him when he was changed at twenty-four. He hoped to have her join his Guard after her turning, should she agree to be turned. At that, he mentally scoffed. Agree? She didn’t need to agree to be turned. And she didn’t need to agree to join, either. She would be a vampire serving in Volterra. He had to see it for himself, to see if her human gift grew stronger with the venom in her system. His venom. He had taken a rather personal interest in this little human. When she was to be turned, it would be by him, and the thought had a surge of possessiveness coursing through his body, causing his fingers to curl. He nodded slowly, letting Carlisle know he’d heard.
“This is acceptable. Tell me more.”
Carlisle opened his mouth to say he knew nothing else, but was interrupted when his phone buzzed 3 times in quick succession in his pocket. Frowning softly, he pulled it out and saw 3 texts from Alice, all using the max character limit, with information on Bella. So telling Aro was important? Why? She was just…he sighed to himself and shook his head, accepting it for what it was and arranged the information in his brain in a way that sounded more articulate than a bunch of abbreviated words and chopped sentences.
“Alright, well…”
Aro and Demetri stood in the living room as the rest of Carlisle’s coven entered the house. Such talent, he thought to himself, and the solitary male, Edward, swiveled his head toward him, his brows furrowing.
“Relax, brother. His emotional climate is content,” Jasper reassured. Aro fixated on him.
“Ah, yes, you are the legendary Major of the Southern Wars, are you not?”
Jasper strode forward, power in his long strides, and he held out a hand for Aro to shake. Jasper towered over him, and his expression was perfectly neutral, which would have intimidated lesser vampires, but Aro felt only excitement. Grinning delightedly, Aro grasped the offered hand firmly, then trapped it with his other hand, his eyes fluttering closed.
“Spectacular,” he breathed. “You are every bit as incredible as the stories say, dear Major.” His eyes opened and locked with the veteran vampire, open admiration shining in his milky red orbs. “Perhaps it is presumptuous of me to say,” he said lowly, glancing pointedly at Jasper’s covered arms, “but you should have no shame in what you are and where you came from. We all have our stories, some darker than others. It is who we are.”
Jasper shifted uncomfortably, pulling out of Aro’s grip with little resistance.
“I’ll…think about it.”
“Of course.”
Oh, how powerful an asset the famed Major would be! He could intimidate lesser vampires and newborns just with a glance at his scar-covered body, and incapacitate any other vampire by filling them with raw terror, drive out all reason in skilled vampires by pumping them full of mindless rage, overwhelm them with desolation so powerful they would beg for death…the possibilities were many, and all highly favorable.
He glanced at the other two gifted vampires in the room and felt his fingertips itch. The ability to hear thoughts of multiple individuals at once without touch…the famed ability of premonition…both abilities would enable these vampires to know the moves of their target before they even made them. Together, they would be an incredible force to be reckoned with, granting near invincibility, and a pulse of want flew through him. Such wonderful treasures…
Edward cleared his throat, obviously becoming upset at Aro’s line of thinking, and the man forced himself to relax. He had all the time in the world to ask them to join him, and even if they refused, they belonged to Carlisle, and by extension – in his mind – him. Calling in favors surely wouldn’t be a bad thing?
“Don’t count on it,” he heard a low mutter, almost too low for him to hear. Edward refused to look at him, and Aro smiled at the petulant look on the other vampire’s face. Sullen like Marcus, snappish like Caius, with a spark of something else in-between. How quaint.
“Alright, everyone,” Carlisle called, holding up his hands. “Alice is going to bring Bella around seven. That gives us three hours to hunt and return – and to shower and change, if necessary,” he added with a look toward Emmett who shrugged innocently. “If you feel you must take any extra precautions, please do so.”
He turned to Aro.
“Did you bring any contacts, in case you wanted to be here when Bella arrives?”
“I can always buy some. I did not exactly have any intention of meeting humans during my stay.” Lie. He had two pairs of sky blue contacts to make his eyes a murky purple, but to the Cullens he had no reason to possess such things.
“Alice,” came the soft voice of Esme, “do you perhaps know what it is that Bella likes to eat? I’d like for her to enjoy her meal.”
Medium-rare steak, mashed potatoes with skins and sour cream, and sautéed green beans, came the immediate answer in Aro’s mind. It was an uncommon meal in Bella’s repertoire, admittedly, but Jane had reported that the girl took special care cooking the dish and took her time consuming it, always looking a little happier afterward. Alice’s eyes flicked over to him as if in warning, and she suggested a simple chicken carbonara. If Alice thought he was foolish enough to forget that Edward could hear him, she had not observed him well enough in her visions. In a vampire his age, it was rather easy to divide his thoughts into conscious layers to hide what he was really thinking. On the surface, he was considering matters in Volterra, and what his next meal would be, and he saw the resulting cringe in the bronze-haired vampire, which made him smirk.
I am what I am, dear boy. I will not spare you that reality. And then his thoughts were filled with all of the humans he’d fed from before, taking a sort of vindictive pleasure in hearing the boy’s jaw clench hard as he attempted to control his rising bloodlust.
A harsh exhale came from Edward’s direction, and then he was gone. Motion made Aro turn and he saw that Jasper was hunched over, shaking, his arms wrapped around himself. Then he, too, was gone. So he felt bloodlust as if it were an emotion, as well. Interesting, he thought mildly. Esme and Carlisle ran after Edward, and Rosalie and Emmett ran after Jasper. Alice stayed behind, scowling fiercely.
“That was uncalled for,” she hissed, striding forward. She poked him in the chest, and Demetri took a step forward, a growl building in his throat. Aro held up a hand, commanding Demetri to stop and he stared down at the offending appendage. “I’m doing you a favor here, the least you could do is not torture my brother and my husband!”
“My apologies,” he said with a smile, completely unapologetic. “I was not aware it would be so…potent.”
“Edward hasn’t always been so supportive of our diet, and Jasper is still struggling. The least you could do is keep that in mind, especially since you’ve seen it from touching our hands. You have no excuse!”
“It would not be such an issue if they simply embraced their true natures.”
“That’s not the point! They have their reasons for drinking from animals. It’s called respecting their lifestyle. You do it for Carlisle. Try to do it for the rest of us.”
Feisty little thing, he thought happily.
“I will take it under consideration,” he promised with a smile. “Now why are you doing this for me, little Alice?”
“She’s my sister, and she deserves to be happy.”
Well, there was an odd string of words.
“Care to elucidate?”
Alice began walking toward the rear entrance of the house, pausing in front of the door.
“All you need to know is that I care about her and that she will find happiness with us, in the path she’s going down. She was meant for this.”
She was meant for immortality.
A slow smile curved Aro’s lips.
“I see.”
She pointed at Demetri.
“And send him to feed. If he doesn’t, he runs the risk of killing her.”
Unacceptable. He glanced at Demetri and gestured carelessly.
“Go.”
A whisper of air told him his companion was gone. He glanced back at where Alice was standing and saw that she was gone, too. Feisty and quick, he amended. What a curious little family, he thought as he reclined in a cushioned wooden chair that was bordering a chess table. He glanced at the set, then reached down and picked up the white queen, twirling the piece between his fingers.
It wouldn’t be long now.

IC Information
Character’s Given Codename: Astir Real Name: Demetri Rahim Faceclaim: Riz Ahmed, Matthew Daddario, Ansel Elgort,Nico Tortorella Age: 30 Hometown: London, England, United Kingdom Previous Occupation: Trauma Surgeon   Ability: Telekinesis
Description:
Since he was young, Demetri dreamed of a life better than the one he had. Growing up in the slums of London, he was grateful for all he’d been given. His father, a brilliant man, worked three jobs to keep the lights on and food on the table. His mother did odd jobs, unable to get a career because back in her home country she was not allowed to finish school. In this new life, his parents fought to give them everything they could want. To give them the opportunity they had never had. The oldest of the three, Demetri seemed to grow up fast. Helping his mother the best he could even from a young age. He may have never understood what was going–not fully, but he wanted to help. As he grew, he took on more to help out–watching his younger siblings, keeping the house tidy, making dinner, etc. He knew his parents  hated that he’d taken this world upon his shoulders, but he never minded it.
Demetri a model student in class. He ached to learn as much as he could, spending hours in the library reading and studying. He would leave with a backpack full of books in hopes of learning all he could of what they studied and then some.He was willing to do whatever he could to save himself and this seemed to be the best way out. Sadly, his behavior outside of school was not quite as promising. He hung out with social pariahs– kids down on their luck and taught to fight for what they have. Kids like himself who grew up in the slums and forced to live a life they never wanted. But unlike Demetri they had become a casualties of the slums. They would be caught out late, picking fights with each other, underage drinking, and petty theft was often a past time. Demetri loved the thrill of it even if he was only a bystander–at least to the thievery. He kept his hands mostly clean, but often bruised. His mother cursed him for his fighting, but it never phased him.  He lived for the thrill and if no one, but him got hurt where was the harm? His father never said a word about it. He claimed it his son’s way of breaking free from having to grow up so fast and to get girls–he wasn’t wrong. By the time he was sixteen he had joined one of the local gyms and had taken up boxing–mostly to ease his mother’s worry. Still it didn’t stop him from sneaking out and causing a disruption when he could get the lads together. When he could find the time between the life he lived, the one he helped move along at him, and the one he witnessed with his friends–he would draw. His note books would be bubbling over with drawing that were carefully planned in a passionate drive to create. And by the time he was seventeen–he’d taken to the side of buildings as canvases when the couldn’t afford the money for a new book–borrowing his neighbor’s spray paint to leave his mark on the city and continuing his streak as a public menace.
As the weight of reality began to set in, he found himself falling away from the life he’d created on the streets and focusing more on what awaited him. Demetri graduated with high honors and planned to drive head first into university as quickly as they’d allow. He was the first in his family to go to college, the first to make something of his life and lead the way for future generations. Most of his friends hadn’t graduated–and one never lived to see it. Demetri never learned of the death of his best friend until he was packing his things over the summer. He’d known he’d gone to visit his brother in Ireland, but didn’t know he never made it there. His mother promised it was to protect him, save him from the pain. She knew this pain would keep him from leaving and she couldn’t allow that. But even with as clear of a head as he had–he couldn’t forgive her for that, not yet.
He carried the pain with him as he went to university–part of him wondering what had he’d done if he’d know. He tried not to dwell;  what mattered was what he did next. Knowing that is what his best friend would’ve wanted for him. He always encouraged him to not let anything stop him, this is how he’d honor him. Helping someone had been engraved in his bones so it almost seemed natural for him to go into the medical field. He didn’t want to be the one to find the cure for cancer or work in a simple office–no, he wanted to work with the cases that were often more than met the eye and would give him the chance to help those most couldn’t. Which is what drove him to what to become a surgeon.  It was far harder than the shows made it look, for four years he study tirelessly when he wasn’t bouncing between classes, labs, and his part time job. He was run thin most of the time, running on coffee and cheap food–it wasn’t the life he wanted, but it would get him there. And when the opportunity for him to go to grad school in America–he jumped at the chance. In the land of Freedom and new dreams, he would make his stand.
It was painful to leave the only home he’d ever known behind, swearing to write every chance he got and would call when possible–he somehow survived the long goodbyes at the airport. His new life at Harvard Medical School awaited him. Finally, he was free and life never looked brighter. But the land of milk and honey had gone sour. While he never experienced any trouble at school, the world waiting outside was a much different place. People would stare at him with a glare in their eye, muffled words would fall before he could catch them as strangers “bumped” into him, and other times people were far more blunt with their words. In a country founded up on the ideas of freedom from all that ailed you–he was nothing more to them than an immigrant. A word that stood for hope meant terror to those around him.  It was a new world, but the fight inside of him was greater than ever. He was better than their ignorance and stronger than the hate.
The next four years were far from easy, but he never gave up and after being in the country for five years–Demetri become an American citizen and moved to New York to begin his residency. He made his new home in Brooklyn, a small overpriced studio apartment, the neighbourhood reminding him of the home he left behind. It pushed him harder to make this all work out. When he wasn’t at the hospital, Demetri would fill his time with the friends he’d made at the hospital. He would fall in and out of relationships with girls who never seemed to want more than someone waste a night on, and when he found the time–he’d pick up a book to read or his paints and create. He fell into this flow and found happiness in it. A long term girlfriend, a cat named Chewie, three guys who he would risk his life for, and the long phone calls home to his family. Things seemed to be going right for once and shaping up to be his own American dream.
A year later, he’d finished up his residency and taken the open position as a trauma surgeon at the hospital. But three months into his dream–it’d become a nightmare. The explosion rattled the city, the ER over flowed with people and he spent what felt like days working to help those injured. He knew it would never be simple, but he never signed up for this. When he finally was able to catch a moment to himself, he’d sat in his office. His mind swimming with thoughts. He let his body relax for the first time–he felt weightless. But the moment crashed when his phone rang–and so did he. He opened his eyes to himself floating in his office chair–the whole room, every piece of furniture was floating as if it were tossed out to sea. But as the panic set in–he crashed to the ground along with everything else.  In that moment he knew, the nightmare had only just begun.
Ethos:
Demetri is of a very caring nature. He is very selfless, but that seems to often hurt him instead. He will put others needs before his own. He doesn’t take very good care of himself. He will often forget to eat or sleep, but he does all he can to make sure the ones around him are taken care of and in good health. He doesn’t realize he’s taken such a toll upon himself until it is too late.  Demetri has always been very ambitious. He will stop at nothing, do whatever had can to succeed not matter the cost. Even he as his limitations though. When he fails, he doesn’t take it well and often will take it out on others. He will push people away and often start arguments he can’t win to feel he regain some kind of control in these situations. Instead, he often breaks relationships and shuts himself away for a time.  He has been called a control freak in the past. It is something he’s working, but when the whole world feels as if it’s waiting for him to fail–he can’t always keep a clear head about himself.

Unloved and Unwanted?
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2,708 Felix x reader Part Six - Final Part Warnings: Fluff, Angst
A few days later Y/N attends the first of two trials in the throne room, involving a nomad and a human. Caius wanted to see how Y/N would be around the human male, now she had finally got control over her thirst. Caius was also proud that she had finally learnt how to kill quickly and cleanly thanks to the help and support of Felix and Demetri. Caius had advised her that she cannot kill the human, she is merely there to observe a trial now she is a member of the Guard.
Aro took the female vampire’s hand in his and saw how she met the male and it reminded him of Edward and Bella’s situation. “You have told this human about our kind but you have yet to turn him or kill him…” He trailed off looking between the vampire and the human. No one spoke. “What do you plan to do with this human?” He asked and after a moment she replied “I would like to turn him so I can spend forever with him but…” “But what?” Caius called out cutting her off “I-I haven’t turned anyone before and am scared I’ll mess it up” She replied low and Aro gave her a sympathetic look “I’m sure we can work something out…hmm” He replied looking at Demetri who stepped forward “Master” The female vampire and the human male turned to look at the tracker “Please escort our guests to a guest room and ‘help’ this vampire turn her mate” Aro asked “Of course” Demetri nodded “Follow me” He instructed the guests and they followed him out of the room. “The Volturi offer that service? Y/N asked Felix quietly, she was both confused and a little amused “Sometimes, depending on the situation” He replied.
The second trial was more interesting than the first; this one involved two groups of nomads who were fighting over territory “How can they fight over territory if they’re nomads” Y/N asked confused “That’s the million-dollar question” Felix replied smiling. “What land are you fighting over?” Aro asked “We have been living in a small town in Spain for six months” The tall dark-haired male vampire replied “Those two moved in about one month ago and started acting as though they owned the area” The shorter blonde-haired female vampire added pointing at the two red-headed male vampires who rolled their eyes “That is not the case, we had no idea they lived in the area when we moved there” The taller of the red-heads said “You have since found this out and still decided to fight us for the territory” The blonde female replied “You haven’t ate many of the humans there so we figured we’d help you” The shorter red-head added “ENOUGH” Caius shouted and the room went quiet “You are nomads and therefore cannot claim territory, let alone fight over it” He added, Aro smirked seeing the nomads flinch. Aro took the hand of the shorter red-head vampire and saw that they have been killing many humans in the area, almost as if they are trying to draw attention to themselves. “I see that you two…” He pointed at the red-heads and then continued “…Have been killing many humans in the area and have not done a very good job at covering their deaths up, all in an attempt to gain their ‘territory’” The vampires tried to protest but Aro held his hand up, effectively silencing them “The couple were there first and have kept a low profile and therefore I am giving them the land” Aro added and the vampire couple smiled “Thank you Aro.” They bowed their heads and left the throne room. Aro waved his hand and Felix stepped forward coming to stand behind the red-heads “Deal with these two please” “Of course master” Felix replied and watched as Alec’s mist circled one of the males whilst he removed the head of the other, once Alec’s mist cleared Felix removed the head of other the vampire. Y/N got to see her mate in action and couldn’t help smiling “Would you like help burning them Fe?” She asked and he nodded “Ok. Grab that one and follow me.” Felix then proceeded to show her to the ‘burning room’ and how to set them alight to ensure they are dealt with permanently.
Two weeks later Y/N returns to Forks with Caius and the four elite guards to pay the Cullens a visit showing them that they were wrong about her and Felix and their relationship. Alice saw their decision to come to Forks and warned her siblings and Bella of Caius’ visit, although she did not know the outcome of the visit as no decision had been made.
“Hello Caius, what a pleasant surprise. Do come in” Carlisle greeted him with a smile “Felix, Demetri, Jane, Alec and…” He trailed off waiting for her name “Y/N. I’m Felix’s mate” Y/N introduced herself with a smile “It’s nice to meet Y/N and congratulations to you and Felix” Carlisle added and led them all upstairs to the family room where the rest of the family were waiting.
“Hello Esme, it’s nice to see you again” Caius said with a smile “Cullen children” He said looking at the Cullen teenagers with a scowl, the four guards and Y/N couldn’t help smirking. “As you can see Felix and Y/N are very happy together, despite their rocky start; no thanks to the six of you” Caius says looking around at Carlisle’s ‘children’ and Bella. “I think this proves that Alice’s visions are not so perfect after all” Jane sneers. Carlisle and Esme look confused “What are talking about Caius?” Carlisle asked “Yes, I nearly forgot. You and Esme have no idea what your children did to Y/N prior to sending her to live with us. Let me fill you in on their actions before I hand down their punishment” Carlisle and Esme’s faces paled if that was even possible. “Don’t worry Carlisle, you, Esme and Ness are exempt of any punishment as you were not aware of their actions” He added before taking a seat on the sofa opposite the Cullens. “Noone hurts my child and gets away with it!” Caius says calmly but the look in his eyes lets everyone know he is far from calm. “What do you mean your child?” Bella asked confused “I turned Y/N after an incident at the castle involving Afton, therefore she is my child” Caius replied.
“How do my children know Y/N and what did they do to her?” Carlisle asked “Y/N is Bella’s younger half-sister; they share a father. It would seem that no one here in Forks wanted her around after she was sent to live here after her mother passed away. Your children and Bella told her about our kind and that she was mated to Felix” Caius replied. Carlisle and Esme nodded “Why are they to be punished?” Esme asked cautiously “They told her that Felix was cruel and that he wouldn’t want her, he would reject her because she was human. They told her she would spend her newborn year locked in the dungeon and providing he remembered she was there; he would come and get her only to lock her away in the tower and that is where she would spend her eternity, whilst he continued to live his life as he did before he met her” Esme looked shocked and felt disgusted by the actions of her children “W-why would you do that?” She asked looking at them and no one answered her. “I would like an answer…NOW” Esme demanded in a tone that made her children flinch.
Alice told everyone about her vision that led to their conversation with Y/N.
Y/N was in Italy with the Volturi; more specifically with Felix, one of the elite guards. They didn’t look happy together either with Felix leaving Y/N alone in her room and making his way to the throne room for guard duty.
Felix spending his evenings with Demetri and Santiago playing cards or playing on his computer console with other members of the guard when not on guard duty at night.
Y/N’s room was not very big and was barely decorated and the only visitors she got other than Felix was Gianna, who bought her meals every day, Heidi and Demetri who check in on her.
“So you thought telling me how cruel my mate was and how badly I’d be treated would change your vision?” Y/N asked shocked “W-well…er…I” Alice stuttered “When in fact all it did was ensure that I was scared of my mate, worried to be alone with him which only hurt him, hurt us both and it took months before we actually got to a point where we could be alone together as mates should be, without Demetri there to make me feel safe” Y/N said her voice raised slightly, Felix wrapped an arm around her waist keeping her by his side.
“I never thought I’d be so disappointed in all of you. I cannot believe you would interfere in their relationship that way, to scare the girl and then send her off to Italy” Esme told them as she looked around the room, eyes landing on Y/N and Felix “I’m so sorry Y/N that you were sent to Volterra in such a way, but I am happy to hear that you both managed to work things out…eventually” “Thank you Esme” Felix said with a small smile. “What will their punishment be Caius?” Carlisle asked, not really wanting an answer knowing how ruthless Caius could be. “A punishment that fits the crime they committed perfectly…and I think it may just be my favourite one yet” He replied with a smile and an evil glint in his eyes “Shit” Carlisle mumbled, recognising that look from his stay with them centuries before.
Caius turns to look at Emmett and Alice “The two of you will spend one year in the dungeon and if I remember you’re down there I will send someone to come and get you. You will then spend twenty-nine years locked away in one of our towers, whilst your mates go about their lives without you. This is after all what you told Y/N would happen to her after Felix rejected her, only you told her she’d spend her eternity locked away” Esme gasped “I can’t believe you’d be so cruel” Caius looked at her with a slight scowl but before he could say anything she added “I meant Alice and Emmett Caius, not you. Those two are usually the more human friendly of our children” He nodded at her “You can’t do this to us” Rosalie stated “I can and I am. You have no one to blame but yourselves” Caius replied.
“NO!” Jasper roared “You can’t take her” He stepped forward only to stopped by Carlisle “Jasper, don’t. This is a punishment handed out to the four of you for your part in this stunt. Rosalie and you will just have to deal with this…separation, the best you can” “But Carlisle…” “Jasper, it’ll be ok. I love you” Alice called out “I love you too Alice” Jasper replied and watched the twins to ensure they didn’t try and hurt Alice.” “Look after Rose for me Jas” Emmett called out “Will do” Jasper replied “Love you babe” “Love you too Emmett.” Rosalie’s eyes filled with venom.
Caius continued ignoring the other Cullens “As for Edward and Bella, your punishment will be more severe as you were the brains behind this…stunt” He nods at Jane and she locks eyes with Edward and he drops to the floor in pain, Bella goes to move but Y/N is quicker and grabs her by the throat and growls in her ear “I wouldn’t do that if I were you sister, I’m stronger than you are” Bella stops moving when she feels Y/N’s grip tighten around her neck, a cracking sound could be heard in the room. Felix doesn’t bother to hide the grin on his face at seeing his mate get the upper hand over Bella.
Caius nods at Demetri and he moves to stand behind Edward, lifting him up so he is sitting on his knees and watches as Caius moves closer and swiftly removes Edward’s head “He can have it back in 50 years…along with Bella” He says with a smile on his face nodding at Y/N, a gasp escaping Bella’s lips at seeing Edward’s head being removed. Alec flashes to Y/N’s side grabbing Bella’s arms to hold her still as Y/N removes her head. Alec lets go of Bella’s arms and Bella’s body drops to the floor with a thud. Caius keeps hold of Edward’s head and takes Bella’s from Y/N and turns to face Carlisle “So sorry we can’t stay longer but we have prisoners to take back with us” “I understand” Carlisle replies trying to stay calm as he and Esme watch Caius leave the room in a fashion that certainly doesn’t look as though he just beheaded two of his friend’s children.
“Demetri, Felix bring Edward and Bella’s bodies please” Caius asks as he reaches the bottom of the stairs “Yes master” Demetri and Felix reply and pick up the bodies, slinging them over their shoulders. Jasper and Rosalie watch as their mates, the loves of their lives are taken away by Jane, Alec and Y/N. “You two try anything and I’ll have the twins use their gifts on you” Y/N warned them as they left the house.
Y/N couldn’t help but agree with Caius, their punishment definitely fitted their crimes ‘Although the timescales seem a little on the short side, considering’ She thought to herself as she and the others boarded the Volturi’s private jet with their prisoners.
Y/N sat beside Felix and snuggled into his side “Thank you for your patience with me Fe. I love you more than you know” She kissed his lips “Thank you for giving me a chance little one. I love you so much” Felix replied kissing her back and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer.
They arrive back at the castle and make their way to the throne room “Welcome home brother, Demetri, Felix, Jane, Alec and Y/N” Aro greets with a smile. “I see you have been busy whilst you were away and that you have bought back…company” Marcus adds. “It’s good to be home brothers” Caius replies smiling “You remember Alice and Emmett Cullen. They are to be our prisoners for the next thirty years, starting a with a year in the dungeon and providing I remember they are down there they will be transferred to the tower to see out the remainder of their sentence” He adds “That sounds awfully familiar, don’t you agree brother?” Aro says looking over his shoulder at Marcus, who nods “Yes, although I’m sure Y/N was told she’d spend forever locked away” Emmett and Alice looked to the floor remaining silent.
“Why are holding Bella and Edward’s heads?” Marcus asks “They were the brains behind the stunt and I decided their punishment should be harsher. They will stay this way for the next fifty years” Caius answered smiling, Marcus and Aro also smiled wide upon hearing the news “It’s about time the Cullens finally dealt with the consequences of their actions” Marcus smiled “Couldn’t have put it better myself brothers” Aro added “Demetri, Felix please take our headless guests and put them somewhere safe” Caius said and held out the heads. Demetri and Felix put Bella and Edward in an empty cupboard near the dungeon “That’ll do” Demetri said as he locked the cupboard door.
Meanwhile, the twins and Y/N escorted Emmett and Alice to their cell “You’ll be fed once a month, although I cannot guarantee it’ll be animal blood” Jane advises as Alec locks the cell door “It really depends on whether we can be bothered to bring a rabbit or something” Y/N added smiling.
It was going to be a long Thirty to Fifty years for the Cullens that are left behind and Caius couldn’t be happier about that fact. He got justice for Y/N and this ensured that she and Felix got their happy ending.

Baby’s First Christmas ||Demetri Volturi x Female Reader||
Part 1: Found Family
Warnings: Mentions of death very briefly but the majority of this is tooth rotting christmas fluff.
Words: 3707
Summary: A request for @raindancer2004
A Christmas one-shot for Found Family. It’s Lyra’s first Christmas with Demetri in the home he has brought for himself and his new family, and he goes overboard ensuring his little girl is spoiled rotten.
There are had been many horrible days in the past year. Your boyfriend of the time had packed up and left in April, your daughter born to you in the January where your only support in the room was a midwife who had been called in last minute to replace the one suddenly taken ill. Your best friend leaving to a new city in March, never to be heard of again despite leaving you the gift of a lovely holiday – where you almost died. Meeting Demetri was one of the few highlights of your year if you were honest, and life had gradually improved since with his video calls, once weekly and suddenly every other day when you both realised you physically couldn’t cope with the silence for more than 24 hours at a time.
Then your parents died.
Demetri had flown straight out, taking some extended leave to ensure you had someone to lean on in your grief. Lyra had needed someone to care for her properly on the days your tired body couldn’t cope. It wasn’t until you had came crawling pitifully down the stairs for some sleeping tablets at 3AM once that you understood how difficult it had been for him, catching him hunched over a baby book as he absorbed every word in an effort to be the perfect caregiver for your daughter. When he’d asked you to let him look after you in a more permanent fashion, you’d agreed without hesitation. He had taken you back to Volterra the following week, helping you pack your possessions, sell what you didn’t want, and send things off to await your arrival. You’d ignored the looks of your neighbours, the old kooks peering through the curtains to eye you with disdain. What kind of woman moved to a new country with her boyfriend of four months after all? Obviously, you had to be knocked up again.
They had no understanding of just how deep the bond between you and Demetri was, not a single idea of how all-consuming, soul warming and fulfilling your love for each other had grown to be. Your new home was ready and waiting and it was beautiful, a little Tuscan cottage all of your own on the outskirts of town, far from the danger of the Volturi’s castle and away from prying eyes where you could raise your daughter in peace. He had spared no expense at all, letting you decorate to your hearts content in an effort to move on with your life, away from the grief and the pain the world had tried to beat you down with before he lifted you above it. Now…now you were feeling that familiar, frazzled feeling. You had gone to Florence for the day, leaving Demetri alone for a full day with lyra for the first time since…ever. It was as much a test for him as it was for you. You found yourself missing Lyra not ten minutes into the drive towards the city, having spent most of your time with her for the past 11 months since she’d been born.
What had followed had been one stressful problem after the next as you tried to complete your Christmas shopping for your found family. You had been forced to visit the castle once or twice to declare yourself to the Masters’ as Demetri’s mate, but a few of his friends had also come to visit you. Felix was a family favourite, though his size unnerved your daughter when Lyra first met him, and the twins had been curious about the baby Demetri had been telling them about. In your mind, they were still children and very much deserving of Christmas presents. The twins didn’t give much away, so you’d guessed at a lot of the things they might like but were fairly happy with you haul. Felix had been the only one that was easy to buy for to but Demetri…what did you get for the man that had everything and wanted nothing? He had given you the world and a pair of socks didn’t seem to be the best kind of repayment.
You had agonised for hours, walking around in a bustling shopping mall where the fluorescent lights made your eyes hurt and the constant chatter in rapid Italian made your head spin. Demetri had been teaching you but you were by no means fluent, and the people in the city spoke much faster than the local market stall owners you had gotten to know – you were starting to suspect they slowed down for you on purpose. Your day had been long and your stress levels high. You just wanted to settle down with your mate and your daughter, cosy up for the night perhaps, but you still had gifts to wrap. Maybe it could wait. Christmas day was still a few weeks away yet, you hadn’t even put up a tree to put your presents under.
Eyes trailing to the bags in the back of your car, you bit your lip softly and felt your heart skitter in your chest. You hoped they would like their presents but you weren’t holding out much hope of a thank you, especially not from the twins. Demetri had heard of the Christmas holidays but the traditions surrounding it were new news to him, and it had taken a lot of explaining before he finally seemed to understand how important this was for you to celebrate.
Lyra’s first Christmas.
When she had been born and you’d started thinking of these things you would never in your wildest dreams have imagined she would be spending it in her new home in Italy, nowhere near her biological father and without her doting grandparents, yet here you were. With a quiet sigh, you steeled yourself to put on a happy face and gathered your things to enter your home. Immediately, you were hit by the smell of spring flowers, a sure sign Demetri had been cleaning today. How he had found time to do that while caring for Lyra you didn’t know but you put it down to his vampirism. If it wasn’t so important for Lyra to grow up with you around in her formative years you might have considered turning sooner purely for the perks of moving fast and not needing sleep anymore, though she was starting to sleep better now and was on her way to her first full night of rest.
Upon opening your door your world became bright and colourful, not the neutral tones of your hallway you were used to. Bright red tinsel was wrapped around your stair railing, twisting upward to the second floor of the cottage, and it framed the photographs adoring the walls in a dazzling array of red, green and blue. A few snowflakes had been tied to the poles of the stair railing by some white ribbon. Slowly, you placed your bags by the door and closed it behind you, locking it for added safety before venturing carefully into your home. You hadn’t remembered asking Demetri to put up any decorations, hell you didn’t even think you owned any, so where had all this come from? The glass in the door leading from the hallway to the living room was frosted, but you were able to see a dark shape moving back and forth, the vague outline of a Christmas tree.
Your kitchen had a tiny tree on the breakfast bar, a Christmas themed tablecloth lying over your dining room table and, much to your amusement, little festive gel stickers on the window looking out over the garden. The legs of Lyra’s high-chair was also wrapped in tinsel. You couldn’t help but smile as you turned towards the living room, listening to the conversation inside.
“Not here either? You are fussy today your highness.” Demetri’s voice was light, teasing, completely at ease. Lyra had grown to be quite the babbler and he was more than happy to engage in conversation with the eleven-month-old girl, even if she couldn’t form proper words just yet. More garbled noises escaped your daughter and when you peeped around the doorframe, your heart melted. Demetri’s Christmas tree had been trimmed to be a little lopsided, not quite to your tastes, but he had tried. Lyra was on her blanket, surrounded by her toys, but none of them seemed to be taking her interest as she sat and watched Demetri put the last few ornaments on a frankly overcrowded tree. There were glistening lights and tinsel and beads and tinsel and baubles and…and…
“Is that…Demetri is that my parents?” you asked, having to swallow around the lump that had formed in your throat. He turned to look at you, still holding the last bauble of a big box of them in his hands. For a moment he said nothing, simply watched you take in all the lights and ornaments he’d put up about the place, the stockings by the fireplace personalised for you and Lyra. How much had he spent? How hard had he worked?
“Yes. I understood Christmas celebrations as something you did with family from how you explained them to me, so I thought they should be here in some way,” He said softly. Tears welled in your eyes and he frowned, “Is it not what you wanted? I can always redecorate?” he looked a little lost as you wiped your eyes and hurried into the room to scoop up Lyra, smiling through your tears as your overwhelmed heart skittered in your chest. This man was just too much for you. Bouncing her on your hip you pressed a kiss to her forehead.
“Have you seen this? Look what Da – Demetri’s done for us!” you quickly caught yourself, your voice shaking with the intensity of your emotion. It was too much but in all the best ways. Lyra was absorbed immediately by the twinkling lights on the tree as you brought her closer, showing her the glass bauble with your parents photograph in. She looked back at you, head turning so fast it almost fell off her little shoulders.
“Ah!” she exclaimed, looking back between you and the bauble. Head nodding you tenderly brushed your hand over her hair. It had started to grow a bit more recently and you were able now to twist small pieces at the front around your fingertip. Demetri kissed your temple, winding an arm around your waist.
“Welcome home.” He murmured, lips trailing along your shoulder, up your throat. Your head tilted automatically and you could feel him smiling at your obvious submission.
“This is perfect.” You whispered. He chuckled.
“I tried my best.” He assured you.
“Our house is clean.” You noted.
“Hmmm, hardly any evidence of disaster.” He agreed with a cheeky grin as you turned to face him. Lyra wriggled, wanting to be put down. She had started crawling just last week and after a bit of rocking, managed to haphazardly crawl back towards her toys. You watched her go with adoring eyes.
“She seems happy.” You said. Demetri chuckled, cupping your cheek tenderly.
“I told you I could do it,” He turned you to face him, embracing you properly this time. You melted into his arms, kissing him sweetly before resting your head against his shoulder. “You seem very tense.” He murmured, fingertips skating up and down your spine. Your nose scrunched.
“Christmas shopping is a tense activity.” You retorted wryly.
“Ah, I have yet to experience the joys. Is there anything you want?” he wondered. You smiled, curling closer to him.
“I have everything I need right here.” You sighed contentedly, basking in the warm glow of fairy lights. Demetri didn’t reply, simply held you close and kissed your forehead. You were rather excited the next day, to wrap and put his presents under your newly decorated tree. Lyra took to helping you with the bows and after a constant battle of wrestling the one she chose from her tiny hands you had some fully wrapped presents…which you then had to keep your child away from. What you didn’t understand was how the present pile just kept growing…and growing…and growing…
Finally, four days before Christmas Day, you caught Demetri in the act. With a cough and some raised eyebrows, you had the suave tracker smiling sheepishly.
“Yes, my love?” he asked, feigning innocence terribly.
“Just how many presents have you brought Demetri? You do know Lyra is only turning one in January, right? She won’t remember half of these things. Christmas is what you do, not what you buy.” You reminded him. His sheepish smile turned cheeky as he moved at lightning speed to place the last of the presents in his bag around the tree, since there hadn’t been room under it for weeks now, and raced over to pull you against him. He stole your breath and anymore scolding words you’d prepared with a single, heated kiss. If he was trying to distract you, it worked wonders.
“Not all are for my princess,” he assured you, his hand slipping to your rear end to pull your hips flush against his, “Some are for my queen.” Cheeks heating in a blush, you swatted his chest and turned your face back to the ginormous pile of presents in the corner of your living room. There were quite a few big boxes and something that reminded you suspiciously of a rocking horse.
“Demetri. You know we don’t need all of this right?” you turned back to look at him, hands sliding up his chest to his neck. His hair was always so soft and you loved nothing more than to play with it on the evenings. He purred softly, leaning into your touch with a hum of approval.
“Is it so bad I wish to spoil you both?” he murmured, eyes closed as you twisted the hair at the nape of his neck around your fingers. Leaning up on your tiptoes, you pressed your mouth to the corner of his in a teasing kiss. Demetri immediately turned, trying to seek more from you, but you pushed him back with a soft sigh.
“You’re too much you know that? If you really want to spoil me, a nice cup of tea for when I come down to snuggle with you will be enough.” You smiled. Demetri’s eyes rolled but he nodded.
“Of course. This is the first of many Christmases like this you know, I have every intention of spoiling you both for the rest of eternity…that and, well…nothing I bought seemed good enough.” He admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. You tilted your head.
“Demetri you know us better than anyone, I’m sure whatever you’ve bought is going to be perfect.” You promised, taking one last look at the giant present pile with a fond shake of your head before going in hunt of your cosy pyjamas. You really regretted saying that to him come Christmas day however, when you had wrapping paper littering your floor and a pile of presents you had no clue how to find homes for. The best perfumes and the clothing brands’ you would never have asked for all needed a place in your walk-in wardrobe for example, but he had already filled it with brand new designer tags when you first moved in. Lyra was surrounded by toys, looking mildly overwhelmed by the choice but utterly thrilled with all the bright colours and sounds coming from them, though her favourite so far seemed to be the simple teddy bear, one she hadn’t let go of since she had unwrapped it. Demetri was currently sat with her on the floor, Lyra resting between his legs as he helped her unwrap a present from Felix.
“Can you guess what it might be?” he asked her. Lyra was frowning, the deep concentration it took to tear at the paper with her fists evident on her face. Demetri stepped in to unstick a bit of sellotape that was making it tricky for her, his free hand gently smoothing over her hair as they worked on the present together. It was a heart-warming sight, one that only made you more confident in your gift to him.
“Dabaga.” She sounded so cross with the resistant bit of paper you both laughed, unable to help yourselves.
“I know princess, how mean of Uncle Felix to wrap it so tightly. Shall I help you do the rest?” he questioned. Lyra made another angry, garbled noise, smacking her fists on the paper in frustration. Demetri chuckled. “Alright alright, here.” He soothed, deftly unwrapping the bright pink paper from around the box Felix had put his present in. Lyra was able to lift the lid herself, looking pleased with her small victory before she tipped the box onto its side, its contents spilling into her lap. Her head snapped up to Demetri, eyes wide as she pointed at it.
“Gar!”
His face feigned shock as he nodded along, watching her pick up and inspect the small toy. There were no tags of any description or branding on the side, and you had a feeling that the pull along ducks had been made by the giant man by hand.
“They are ducks, princess,” Demetri pointed them out one by one, “A little family just like ours, a Mommy duck and a baby duck.” You noticed he pointedly left out a label for the larger duck and decided that was the perfect moment to interrupt the dynamic duo. You searched through the torn-up paper to find the small bag you had prepped for Demetri, crawling over to hand it to him as you welcomed Lyra into your lap when she crawled for you. She held her teddy bear up to you and you subconsciously leaned down to kiss it, holding her close. Demetri read the tag, glancing up at you both with a smile.
“Merry Christmas.” You said softly. His eyebrows rose slightly, the trepidation on your face confusing him almost and making him slightly more wary to open the bag you had taped shut. You stopped Lyra wriggling, hushing her slightly as you watched him. It was impossible to deny you felt nervous, unsure how he would react to the presents inside, cheap and corny but…heart-felt. Stomach churning, you were hyper-focused on his face as he opened up the bag. Nothing inside it was wrapped but there was a layer of tissue paper to move aside. Demetri paused, carefully setting the gold, shimmering paper to his left as he examined the contents of the bag. For a moment, he looked up at you in bewilderment, as if to see if you really meant it, then his breath-hitched and he reached in to reverently take out the things inside. His socks, mug and t-shirt were all inscribed with a simple but meaningful slogan, one you hoped he would understand.
“Do you mean it my love? Truly?” he asked, voice wavering. His eyes appeared to glisten, like he wanted to cry even though he wasn’t capable of it. You on the other hand could, and a single tear slipped down your cheek.
“Yes. Please? Be our Daddy duck?” your heart clenched and you almost stopped breathing as you watched his composure completely break. Demetri huffed a laugh you were sure was supposed to really be a sob, but he carefully placed his presents down into his bag and crawled across the paper to hold you both. He bent at the waist to press a kiss to Lyra’s cheek first, then shifted upward to give you a kiss that was far hungrier, far more passionate. He captured your lips over and over until you were breathless, dizzy with desire. Pressing his forehead to yours, he squeezed your hip lightly.
“Always. I will be yours as long as you will have you me. I never thought I could have a family, that things could be like this, but this is…this is perfect.” He whispered. Through your watery eyes you could still the socks peeking over the edge of his bag, World’s Best Dad emblazoned on the sides. Lyra seemed to sense this was an emotional moment to, putting her toys down in favour of taking Demetri’s large hand and tugging for his attention. He pulled back with a slow exhale, smiling down at her.
“What is it princess? You want to open more presents?” he asked. Lyra tugged at his hand again, trying to pull it past her little body it seemed. Demetri looked confused a little bit, neither of you really understanding what you wanted till he pulled her into his lap to see. She settled into his abdomen, leaning back against him quite happily. Lyra’s eyes met your own and you could have sworn if a baby could look smug, that was how you would best describe her expression.
“Are you jealous of Daddy giving Mommy kisses? Is that it? Huh?” you asked her. Demetri grinned, red eyes sparkling. They matched the Christmas lights perfectly. He easily lifted her up in the air, nuzzling her tummy with his nose before peppering soft kisses all over her cheeks to make her giggle. You began to collect the paper up as they played together.
“I can get that done in half the time, let me.” Demetri offered. You shook your head.
“It’s alright, I don’t want to interrupt Daddy-Daughter time.” You teased. Demetri just grinned brightly, looking happier than he had been since you met him. He was watching you like you had given him the world and more, and maybe you had in some respects, since Lyra was the world to you. His new title far outweighed any ranking he had gotten in the Guard and somehow, you had managed to ensure Lyra spent her first Christmas with her Daddy after all. He settled back against the edge of the sofa, Lyra straddling his lap as they both explored her teddy bear once more, her babbling filling your ears as she showed him all the buttons and patches on it that made for interesting new textures for her to feel. Demetri nodded along, the perfect little play partner for her on the most wonderful Christmas day.

Unloved and Unwanted?
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3,395 Felix x Reader Part One. Warnings: Fluff Angst
Y/N was 17 years old when her entire life changed; her mother Molly died in a car accident and she found herself in Forks living with her father Charlie Swan, who she had never met.  Charlie was shocked when he got a phone call from Child Services advising him about Y/N as he didn’t know she even existed. This made it hard for Charlie to accept her; as a result he struggled to build relationship with Y/N once she arrived in Forks. Charlie and Sue were busy working and planning their wedding; leaving little time to help Y/N settle in.
Bella had already moved out as she was married to Edward Cullen and they had a daughter Renesmee. Bella did not make an effort to meet her younger half-sister, choosing to ignore her.
Y/N didn’t make any friends at her new school either, she went almost unnoticed there. She felt truly alone and it only made her miss her mom even more, especially as they had been very close before the accident.
One Saturday morning Bella dropped Renesmee off at Charlie’s for a visit but didn’t stay herself as she had things to do. After a few hours Charlie was called into the station due to an emergency and as Y/N was home he asked her to keep an eye on Renesmee. This surprised Y/N as she had only met Renesmee briefly a few times as she was not included in ‘family time’ during Renesmee’s visits. This led to Y/N staying in her room during Renesmee’s visits as to not be in the way. In fact Y/N stayed in her room even when Renesmee wasn’t around for the same reason.
Y/N and Renesmee baked chocolate chips cookies and watched a few Disney films together, before Charlie came home with take out. Y/N had dinner with them that night but only because Renesmee asked her to join them. Charlie did not engage Y/N in conversation other than to ask about what she and Renesmee did whilst he was at work.
That night when Renesmee got home she told her family about the time she spent with Y/N; how much she liked her and that she felt sorry for her as she had lost her mom. This conversation prompted Bella to finally decide to meet Y/N; six months after she had moved to Forks.
This decision prompted Alice to have a vision;
Edward saw the vision as it happened and knew what he had to; for this solved a problem for everyone, Y/N would leave Forks and live in Volterra. He filled his siblings and Bella in on the plan and they all agreed. “She’ll be someone’s else’s problem soon, Charlie still isn’t warming to the idea of having another daughter around” Edward told them, having read Charlie’s mind the last time he was over there “Bella, you need to befriend Y/N and bring her over so we can inform her about Vampires; the Volturi and her mate” Bella agreed instantly.
Bella met with Y/N at Charlie’s a few days later “Hello Y/N, I’m Bella. I’m sorry for not coming over sooner to meet you” “Hi Bella, that’s ok. It’s nice to finally meet you” Y/N replied “Yeah you too. How are you settling in?” Bella asked “I’m settling in ok, thanks” Y/N lied.
They spent the afternoon talking to each other attempting to get to know one another. Y/N couldn’t help feeling suspicious of Bella; wondering why she came over to meet her and why she was being nice to her after ignoring her the last six months.
The following Friday Bella called and invited Y/N over to the Cullen house “Hello Y/N, I hope you are ok. I’m calling to invite you over tomorrow. I think it would be nice for you to meet Edwards’s siblings” “Err, ok thanks. Sounds nice, thank you” Y/N relied. The following morning Bella drove to Charlie’s and picked up Y/N and bought her back to the main house. When they arrived Bella introduced her to everyone “Y/N this is my husband Edward” She said pointing to Edward “Hello Edward, it’s nice to meet you” Y/N greeted “You too Y/N” Edward smiled “These are my siblings Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, Alice” He continued; they all smiled and said hello to Y/N and she did the same in return. “My father Carlisle is at the hospital and my mother Esme has taken Renesmee out for the day. Hopefully you’ll meet them next time” Edward added.
Neither Carlisle nor Esme knew of Edward’s plan or the other’s involvement as they all knew that they wouldn’t agree with or support their plan.
They all sat down in the family room and explained to Y/N that they were vampires and that they feed off of animals instead of humans; hence their golden eyes. They explained that vampires have something called a ‘mate’; one person they would love, protect and spend an eternity with. They also explained that Rose and Emmett were mates; as were Jasper and Alice, Edward and Bella and lastly Carlisle and Esme. Alice explained that her, Jasper, Edward and Bella had ‘gifts’ and explained which each one was. Y/N nodded trying to take in the information so far
Emmett went onto explain about the Volturi who lived in Italy; how they were the rulers of the vampire world enforcing the laws, one of which was that humans were not allowed to know of their existence. “Why have you told me then?” Y/N asked confused. “We have told you about vampires because Alice has had a vision and it showed you with your mate; who is an elite Volturi guard” Edward answered. “What does that mean for me?” She asked “It means that you would need to go to Volterra to be with him. If they came here to check on Renesmee and found out that we knew you were the mate of one of their guards and we didn’t tell them; they would kill us and take you to Italy forcibly” Edward continued. “What is the guard I’m mated to like?” She asked. The Cullen siblings and Bella looked at each other before Rosalie answered her “He is known for being the strongest vampire in the world and has killed many vampires and humans alike” Shock flashed across Y/N’s face at hearing this “The Volturi do not like humans much; seeing them as not much more than their food source. So the news of one of their elite guards being mated to a human will not go down well” Rosalie continued. “He will likely reject you as his mate as you’re human” Bella added “I-If he is to reject me…why does he need to know about me?” Y/N asked. Noone answered her straight away, again looking at each other silently deciding who would answer her.
“As I said before, they would kill us if they found out we kept you from your mate. We can’t and won’t risk our lives for you” Edward replied rather matter of factly; Y/N said nothing. “You need to know more about your mate” Bella added and Y/N nodded, waiting for someone to continue.
“The Volturi do not usually allow newborns in the castle; however, they will make an exception for you…” “What do you mean newborns?” Y/N cut Edward off sounding confused “Newborns are what newly turned vampires are called” Bella answered her, Y/N nodded “You’ll spend your newborn years in the dungeon and provided your mate remembers you’re down there; you’ll more than likely be taken to a room in one of the towers…where you will spend your eternity once you’re no longer a newborn” Edward informed her “W-Why did you say if he remembered I was in the dungeon?” She asked a little worried “Edward means there are vampires that have been down in the dungeons for decades if not centuries. They kinda get forgotten about” Alice replied quickly “So if I am to be rejected, why would he keep me in the castle?” Y/N asked feeling confused. Jasper answered her this time “Once he meets you the mate bond will kick in and he will feel protective of you and will need to know that you are safe. If a vampire loses their mate they become heartbroken and overtime they fall into a deep depression and he won’t want that; the Volturi leaders won’t want that either as he is too valuable to them. This will still apply even after his rejection of you” “Oh” Was all Y/N could say.
“Some of the Volturi are gifted too, so you won’t be able to run and hide either as they have the world’s best tracker and they will send him after you and he will find you and drag you back to Volterra kicking and screaming if he has to. You’ll also see the cruel side of your mate too if you were to run from him” Emmett added; all of them being careful not to reveal Y/N’s mate’s name. “You leave for Volterra in three days. We have already bought you a ticket and to ensure you actually get there I will accompany you” Edward says. “So I don’t have a choice in this?” Y/N asked “No you don’t!” Bella said sharply. “Edward I don’t think going to Volterra with another human is a good idea. We have letters for her and Aro; I think it’s best if she goes alone” Alice says looking at Edward, who nods “Fine, but I’m taking her to the airport regardless. I’ll pick you up at 8pm Tuesday Y/N” Y/N just nods in response. Y/N made sure to not think about how she felt about this around Edward knowing that he may be able to read her mind.
Later that night Y/N started packing a few things for her trip and couldn’t help her thoughts ‘I find out I have a soulmate; someone who’s supposed to love me forever, only to find out that he won’t want me. He’ll just reject me and lock me away forever. I don’t know why I’m so surprised that someone else who is supposed to love me doesn’t. It’s the story of my life recently, being unwanted and unloved. It’s bad enough I have to stay here with Charlie who doesn’t want me around.’ Tears slipped down her cheeks at the thought of being unloved, unwanted and locked away forever, just to be forgotten about. She cried herself to sleep that night.
The following morning Charlie opens a letter informing him that Y/N has been accepted into an Art college in Italy and that she is due there in a few days. Alice had put the letter together as a cover story for Y/N to leave Forks. “Morning, Y/N. This came yesterday after I left for work; it’s an acceptance letter for an Art college in Italy. They need you there in a few days so you should get packing” Charlie said smiling as Y/N entered the kitchen “Oh ok, I’ll-I’ll do that” Y/N couldn’t believe the Cullens had faked a letter to get her to Italy; clearly they wanted her gone and soon.
A few days later Edward dropped Y/N off at the airport “Here this is a letter for Aro; make sure to give it to him when you arrive at the castle. This letter is for you to read on the plane, it’s basically tells you what we told you the other night. When you arrive a car will be waiting to take you Volterra. Safe flight” He gets back in the car and drives away leaving Y/N at the airport alone.
Y/N sits on the plane reading the letter addressed to her; and it’s a repeat of the information she was told a few days ago. She thought about not going to Italy but figured the Cullens will know if she doesn’t arrive or they’ll call Aro to check that she arrived so it’s probably just easier to go voluntarily rather than be chased down by the Volturi’s tracker and incur the wrath of her mate.
The plane lands and Y/N makes her way through to the airport to the waiting car “Miss Y/S/N?” The man asks “Yes, you’re taking me to Volterra?” Y/N replies “Yes miss. Get in the car please” The man says placing her case in the trunk. Y/N is dropped off just outside of the town square “The castle is just up there; you can’t miss it as there’s a huge fountain in the middle of the square” “Thank you” Y/N said taking her case from the driver.
Y/N made her way to the town square and sat down on the fountain trying to get the courage up to walk into a castle full of vampires; knowing that once she’s inside she’ll never be allowed to leave. Unknown to Y/N she is being watched by Heidi who has stepped outside of the castle to see if there are any tourists around that she can add to the ‘castle tour’ scheduled for tomorrow. With her enhanced sight Heidi notices that Y/N holding an envelope in her hands whilst looking at the castle and after about an hour Heidi makes her way over to Y/N “Are you ok?” She asks sitting beside her “I think so” Y/N replies sounding unsure. “I’m Heidi by the way, so what brings you to Volterra?” Y/N notices Heidi’s eyes are a lilac colour and her skin is pale but looks perfect, just like the Cullens “I’m Y/N. I’ve been sent here to meet my mate, not that he’s going to happy about it. In fact I’ve been told that…he won’t want me” Y/N says looking down handing Heidi her letter “It’s all explained in here”
Heidi takes the letter reading it and it explains that Y/N is mated to one of the elite guards and as soon as she reads ‘he is the strongest vampire in the world’ she knows who Y/N’s mate is. Heidi frowns as she continues to read the letter as she doesn’t like what she is reading. It is depicting Felix as cruel when he is actually kind despite him coming across as intimidating due to his physical appearance. She also knows that Felix would his love his mate whether she be human or vampire as he has been waiting a long time to meet her and would be hurt if he knew that his mate thought of him this way. “Who gave you this letter?” Heidi asks sounding a little upset “Edward Cullen handed me this letter at the airport for me to read to remind me about what awaits me upon landing here. I also have another letter for Aro” She tells Heidi “How come you showed me this letter?” Heidi asks “You are a vampire and I’m guessing you live in the castle” Y/N replies “How did you…” Y/N cuts Heidi off “You have pale skin like the Cullens and you came from the direction of the castle and you didn’t seem surprised when I mentioned the word ‘mate’ nor when you were reading the letter” “Huh, very true. Would you like me to take you inside to meet Aro?” Heidi asks “I’m not sure if I’m ready to go in just yet” Y/N replies quietly “Ok I’ll wait with you until you’re ready” “Thank you Heidi.” Y/N gives Heidi a small smile. After an hour of sitting on the fountain making small talk Heidi and Y/N make their way into the castle; Heidi taking Y/N’s hand in hers “Do not let go of my hand Y/N” “Ok” Y/N nods.
Once inside the castle Heidi heads straight to the reception desk “Hi Gianna, this is Y/N. I need you to take this to Aro for me please” Heidi says handing her a quick note asking to meet with him, Caius and Marcus and minimal guards as she has a delicate matter to discuss. Heidi and Y/N wait in reception for Gianna to return “Heidi, Y/N, Aro is ready for you and the guards have been dismissed except for Jane and Demetri” Heidi was pleased Felix wouldn’t be in the room during this conversation.
They arrive at throne room “Good afternoon masters” Heidi greets them with a smile “Heidi so good to see you and you have bought a human with you” Aro replies curious. “There is a very good reason for that. This is Y/N and she has a letter for you from the Cullens” Caius’ attention is piqued when he hears the Cullens name mentioned. “May I see the letter please my dear?” Aro asks “Of course” Y/N responds handing the letter over. Y/N and Heidi watch Aro’s facial expressions as he reads the letter and he doesn’t seem happy. “What’s in the letter brother?” Caius asks impatiently; Aro extends his arm holding out the letter for him. “Y/N my dear, when did you learn about us?” Aro asks “A few days ago, I was invited to the Cullen’s house and Edward, his siblings and Bella informed me about vampires, the Volturi and…mates” She answered “Do you know who your mate is?” Caius interjects “Not exactly. I only know that he is one of the elite guards…and is known for being the strongest vampire in the world. Also that he along with the rest of you don’t like humans much…there-therefore he won’t want me…as his mate. I’ve been told that I will be rejected and locked away” Y/N replies not looking at Caius “WHAT?!” Caius screams; Heidi and Y/N flinch at this, Heidi grips Y/N’s hand in a comforting gesture. Y/N’s comment also gains Marcus’ attention whilst Jane and Demetri look on curiously.
Caius storms down the steps to stand beside Aro “If you know you are to be rejected why did you come here?” Aro asks gently “Edward told me if you found out that they knew I was the mate of one of your guards and they didn’t tell you; you would kill them…and bring me here by force. He said they wouldn’t risk their lives for me. They also said that if I were to run and hide…you-you would send the world’s best tracker after me; who would find me and…bring me here…kicking and screaming if needed and…I would incur the wrath of my mate…who can be rather cruel. I-I figured it was just easier to come here willingly” She replied quietly looking down. Demetri felt himself get a little angry hearing that the Cullens had used him to threaten the human girl into coming to Volterra. “You mentioned being locked away, what do you mean by this?” Caius asked confusion clearly showing on his face “Edward told me that you do not usually allow newborns in the castle; however, you will make an exception for me…that I’d spend my newborn years in the dungeon and…provided my mate remembers I’m down there; he’ll come and get me… lock me away in the tower where I’ll spend eternity once I’m no longer a newborn”
A look of shock crossed the faces of the three kings as well as Jane’s and Demetri’s upon hearing this. “I want you know that I don’t intend to object to the rejection” Y/N added. “Why would you accept the rejection child?” Marcus asks curiously joining his brothers at the bottom of the steps “Not being wanted is not a new thing for me. I’m not going to make someone be with me if they don’t want to be. I have no intention of messing up his life just because I’m not wanted back home either” Y/N replied looking at Marcus, who gave her a small smile.
‘Poor beautiful, broken girl.’ Heidi thought to herself listening to this last part.

Aro’s Choice
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2,464 Demetri x reader Part One. Warnings: Fluff
Summary: Aro chooses a mate for Demetri; someone that will link his coven to Carlisle’s, a gifted human like none he’s met before. But Demetri isn’t happy, he didn’t choose her, doesn’t want her so he does the only thing he can think of, he pushes her away despite agreeing to a compromise proposed by Y/N. So what happens when an event occurs that changes everything for Demetri and Y/N? Will he go and rescue her...save her? Or will he stay in the castle and wait for his mate as he has done the last 1000 years? Will he realise that the one he’s been waiting for was the very one he had rejected and pushed away? Is it too late, will she ever forgive him? Will she give him a chance to love and protect her or will she walk away from him for forever...?
Edward was in Volterra standing in front of Aro, one of the Volturi’s Kings and whilst Aro was reading through Edward’s memories he saw a girl who resembled Bella and discovered her name was Y/N Swan. However, Aro was unconcerned about the girl as she appeared to know nothing about their world. After seeing Alice’s vision of Bella becoming immortal Aro allowed Edward, Bella and Alice to return to Forks to make their preparations for Bella’s transformation.
Aro saw Y/N Swan again in the memories of both Edward and Renesmee at the confrontation at Christmas but again it seemed that she was still none the wiser about their world so he left with his coven and witnesses to return to Volterra and thought no more of the girl known as Y/N Swan.
Aro paid the Cullens a surprise visit that summer to check on how Renesmee was getting on and bought Jane and Alec with him. Aro decided to stay for a few days and use the time to catch up with Carlisle at the same time as he was aware that his friend was tracking the growth and development of Renesmee. Marcus and Caius stayed back in Volterra along with Felix and Demetri as they were keeping an eye on some nomads that are hunting a little too close to Volterra.
During the second day of their visit Jane had taken a walk in the forest and came across the little cottage Edward, Bella and Ness lived in and being curious she walked up the path to the door and pushed it open peaking around inside. Jane could hear two heartbeats and recognised Ness’ scent but she noted the second heartbeat belonged to someone she hadn’t met before; she was just glad Jake wasn’t around as his scent was rather unpleasant.
Everything changed after Jane’s visit to the cottage for she couldn’t hide her excitement at seeing the gift that the human girl had displayed so openly in front of her niece. Aro noticed that Jane seemed ‘different’ after her walk; she seemed excited about something as she had a hushed but animated conversation with her brother in one corner of the Cullen’s family room. “Jane” Aro said holding out his hand “Master” She replied smiling as she placed her little hand in Aro’s much larger one watching as his facial expressions changed as he saw her most recent memories.
Aro saw Jane watching Y/N with curiosity rather than the usual distaste she held for humans as Y/N’s hands were moving slightly in the air and the toys on the floor were moving into the toy box on the left-hand side of the room. Ness was smiling and clapping quietly as she watched her aunt tidy away some of the toys she had left lying around.
Aro spoke with Carlisle that evening after he returned from his shift at the local hospital. “Good evening Carlisle. I trust you had a good day at work?” Aro greets him after Esme leaves his study, having greeted her husband home from work. “Evening Aro, it was a busy day at the hospital but none of my patients died so, yes it was a good day” Carlisle replies, feeling a little curious “Splendid. I am after a little favour my friend” ‘I knew it’ Carlisle thought to himself “I would like to meet Bella’s sister Y/N. I have seen her in some of your family’s memories and she didn’t seem of much interest…until now” Aro continued “May I ask why she is of interest now Aro?” “Jane met her today at the cottage and saw her ‘gift’ in action and I would very much like to meet her” He replied and Carlisle nodded “I’ll see what I can do” Aro smiled and left Carlisle’s study.
The following afternoon Bella went and collected her sister and drove her back to the main Cullen house “A friend of Carlisle’s wishes to meet you Y/N” Bella said as she drove “Really? Why?” Y/N asked “Well after you met Jane she spoke to Aro about your ‘gift’ and he wanted to meet you” Bella replied “Does this have anything to do with the whole ‘I’ll tell you what you need to know thing?’” Y/N asked turning to look at her sister “Yes it does. You’ll find out more about that too during this visit” Bella replied looking back at her “Ok” Y/N said and turned back to looking out of the window.
Aro waited at the Cullen house to meet Y/N and was feeling both anxious and excited; something Jasper found amusing. Aro finally got to meet the girl in person and pleased to know he could read her thoughts / memories and he found them interesting especially the one where she discovered her ‘gift’. Aro asked Y/N for a demonstration and after looking at Carlisle who smiled and nodded at her; she waved her hands over the coffee table and the magazines stacked themselves into a neat pile whilst the newspapers moved and formed their own neat pile. Aro smiled and clapped his hands together “Wonderful my dear. A truly unique gift” He said smiling at her “Thank you Aro” Y/N smiled back at him. Y/N used her gift a few more times during her visit and Aro only became more intrigued by her and the ‘possibilities’ of her gift once she was immortal. Aro made a choice that day; a choice that changed everything for the Volturi, the Cullens and Y/N Swan. She would be the one to link his coven to Carlisle’s…forever.
Later that evening Y/N and Ness went to the cottage for the night as Ness wanted a sleepover with her aunt, the Cullen ‘children’ including Bella and the twins went hunting “Eating Deer as a one off is one thing…but to do it regularly, I don’t know how you do it” Jane said looking at Alice “It takes a little getting used to I’ll admit but…we prefer this ‘diet’ to yours” Alice responded.
Meanwhile, back at the main house Aro, Carlisle and Esme were seated in the living room reading when Aro broke the silence “Carlisle there is something I wish to discuss with you” “Ok Aro, I’m listening” He replied closing his book and giving Aro his full attention, Esme doing the same. “Y/N now knows about Vampires and our world so she cannot remain human indefinitely” Aro began “I understand that Aro. However, she only learned about us today after you asked to meet her” Carlisle replied “Yes, I am aware of that but it doesn’t change the situation we now find ourselves in” Aro replied “Y/N can become one of us…join our family after she graduates next year” Esme adds softly “I actually had another idea in mind my dear” Aro says looking at Esme, who nods waiting for him to continue. “I think it would be best if Y/N was to become Demetri’s mate. Think of it as an ‘arranged marriage’” Aro said smiling at Carlisle and Esme “Aro, that custom is…rather outdated…with the exception of a few cultures that is. Arranged marriages aren’t really applicable to our kind either…due to the whole mate thing” Carlisle responded “That may be my friend but Y/N knows of our world and Caius would not be happy if I let you add her to your coven, your family. Y/N becoming a part of my family would make things easier for everyone. Carlisle, you know Demetri, after all you lived with us for a few decades. You also know that he is still alone after being around for more than 1000 years. He will treat her well my friend…she will want for nothing” Aro replied in a tone that Carlisle recognised so well, a tone that meant this was a done deal and not up for discussion. “Very well Aro. I agree that Demetri is a good choice for Y/N; he is one of the more…reasonable guards at the castle and you’re right he will treat her well” Carlisle says wondering how the rest of the family will take the news.
The following morning the Cullens, the Volturi and Y/N meet in the family room “I have some news to share that will change things around here a little” Carlisle says standing up and addressing the room, Esme moving to stand beside him. “Y/N knows about us and our world now and I know that we and the Volturi are the reason for that” He says looking at Y/N before continuing “As a result of this Y/N will need to be changed and it has been decided that she will join Demetri in Italy…as his mate; therefore he will be the one to turn her when the time comes.” The room is silent for a few moments as everyone tries taking in the news “So…I become a part of Aro’s family and…and not yours?” Y/N says looking at Esme and Carlisle “As Bella’s sister, Ness’ aunt you will always be a part of our family Y/N but you will be a Volturi not a Cullen once you are immortal” Esme replies softly. Y/N sat there trying to collect her thoughts and therefore tuned out the conversation going on around her. “You can’t send my sister away to live with…with them. They don’t even like humans” Bella said concern clear in her voice “Demetri has never met her. How do you know they’re mates? What happens if he rejects her?” Rosalie asked “You’re right Demetri and Y/N have never met and we don’t know if they are mates. However, that said he has been alone for a very long time and I have decided that Y/N will come back with us and that she will be Demetri’s mate…think of it as an ‘arranged marriage.’ Demetri will treat her well, you need not worry about that” Aro answered Rosalie’s questions.
Y/N had agreed to Aro’s plan as she learned what the alternative option would be if she didn’t. Y/N went back to her house and with the help of Bella they packed her clothes, shoes and a few personal items before meeting Aro back at the Cullen house. Carlisle drove them to the airport where the private jet was waiting for Aro, Jane, Alec and Y/N. Santiago greeted them “Good evening master, the plane is ready to depart when you are” “Thank you Santiago” Aro replied.
“What’s Demetri like?” Y/N asked Jane once they were seated on the plane “He is one of the nicer more reasonable guards, he’s well-spoken and is a very skilled fighter, in fact he and Felix train the lower and transitory guards” She replied, Y/N nodded “You’ll learn much more about him once you meet him” Alec added smiling.
Y/N fell asleep a few hours into the flight and Alec carried her into the room at the back of the plane lying her down on the bed. “Remember to put a blanket on her brother, she’ll get cold otherwise” Jane called out quietly but Alec heard her. “Done, hopefully she’ll sleep for the remainder of the flight” Alec replied as he made his way back to his seat beside Jane. “What do you think Demetri will think of her and her gift?” Alec asked his sister “I think Demetri will find the human very pretty and her gift will no doubt intrigue him…I mean we don’t know anyone else who has that gift” Jane replies smiling “I’m more curious as to what he’ll think about Aro choosing her to be his mate” Jane mused “I think he’ll be surprised but I’m sure he’ll welcome her with open arms as it means he’ll no longer be alone; something we all know is starting to bother him. You know how protective our kind are once we meet our mate and as she’s human it means she’ll need more protection than if she were immortal. You know he’s going to love keeping ‘his little human’ safe” Aro replied smiling “I hope so master because it would be a real shame if he rejects her” Alec added.
Aro, Jane, Alec, Santiago and Y/N arrive at the castle to find that Demetri and Felix were away on a small mission “Santiago please help Jane and Alec take Y/N’s stuff to Demetri’s quarters” Santiago nods and follows the twins and Y/N up to the Elite Guard’s floor; Jane held Y/N’s hand along the way. “Demetri is away on a mission but should be back tomorrow afternoon” Santiago tells Y/N, Jane and Alec before leaving to return to his own room. Alec lit the fireplace so Y/N wouldn’t get cold and Jane got her a glass of water from the kitchen before they both said goodnight and returned to their rooms.
Demetri and Felix returned sooner than expected and made their way back to their rooms; both hearing a steady heartbeat and picking up on an unknown scent “I wonder why is there is a human up here?” Felix asked “Maybe the human is a welcome home snack for me…seeing as she is in my room” Demetri replied smiling as he opened the door to his room and saw her lying in his bed asleep “You get all the luck” Felix muttered “Y/N is not a welcome home snack Demetri” Jane said firmly “I take it you haven’t seen Aro?” Alec asked “No, we haven’t. He and Caius are with their wives and I wasn’t about to disturb them, besides we’re back earlier than expected” Demetri replied. “Shall we tell him sister or make him wait till he speaks with Aro in the morning?” Alec asked “Normally I’d say wait but seeing as he thought she was a snack, I’m sure Aro won’t mind us telling the basics” Jane replied smiling “The girl in your room is Y/N Swan and she is indeed yours Demetri…” “He gets all the luck” Felix muttered “So let me get this straight the human in my room is mine but she is not a snack?” He asked looking at Jane and Alec “Exactly” They replied together “Then what is she to him?” Felix asked confused “We’ll see if he can work it out on his own, but if he doesn’t Aro will tell all in the morning anyway. Good night” Jane smiles as she and Alec return to their rooms.
The following morning Aro calls a small meeting in the throne room “Jane, Alec please go and get Demetri, Felix and Y/N and bring them here as we have matters to discuss” Aro says to the twins “Yes master” They reply together and make their way to Demetri’s room. “Brother, what is going on? Why have you bought a human home with you?” Caius asked “I’ll explain everything once Demetri arrives” Aro replies smiling.

Snow (A Tribute: Twilight)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had left a simple note saying you were leaving for an adventure and hadn’t returned since, that was before World War One. none of had heard from you since but has received minor details that you were still very much alive from Alice and Demetri. You were gone not long after Carlisle found out you were his biological child. You were the closest thing he and Esme had to their own child. It broke his heart to think that you were so far from him. This would be the 76th year. The 76th year and Christmas you were gone. Carlisle’s friends, even the Volturi, decided to visit for the holiday, hoping to lift his spirits.
Esme would send you letters to the last known address you stayed that and never received a response. As far as they knew, that house was empty, but she continued to send them as closure. In the most recent, she wrote how much they had missed you so for the past few years, how’d they’d love a response. They’d be celebrating Christmas, it would be Renesmee’s second ever Christmas. They’d love to spend it with you. You received an invite but they’d understand if you never showed. They sent their love. The Cullens didn’t know you returned every now and then to that house you owned to collected every letter sent to you. You read and kept every one but never responded. You smiled at every letter that was packed tight with love.
Your boots crunched against the snow, your hands in your pockets as you trudged through the trees, snow falling and some landing on your hair. Christmas lights illuminated the houses you passed hearing laughter and childish glee. You couldn’t stop yourself taking a glance at some of the houses seeing the families huddled around one another. You smiled, it really was the most wonderful time of the year.
Carlisle caught the sympathetic looks Marcus gave him upon occasion and nodded in reassurance. He was finding it more and more difficult to keep a smile on his face as he did every year. he watched as the Covens mingled in chatter and even joined in at times. Many were entertained by how animated Renesmee was with her gifts and the Christmas spirit.
Just about everyone turned when someone turned the corner, they hadn’t heard anything from outside. A few gasped to see you and Carlisle rose from his seat. You looked at everyone in the room slightly surprised. The Cullens broke into smiles first. You were suprised that Renesmee who you were as she quickly ran up to you hugging your legs calling your name. You were surprised but hugged her, giving her back a brief rub.
Esme moved forward to greet you with a hug. “We’re so glad you’re here.” “I am too.” Your eyes travelled to Carlisle from Esme’s shoulder. Esme let you go and stepped away from you as Carlisle moved forward. You gave him a knowing smile, you knew he didn’t know what to say. “Happy Christmas dad.”  “…Merry Christmas.” He said before pulling you into his chest in a tight hug as though feared you’d disappear again.

What i need to do (Bella Cullen x Reader)
TRIGGER WARNING: Implied/mentioned suicide!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had your back to Bella, you were washing your hands under the sink when you turned giving her your usual warm smile. "Hey, there you are. I've been looking for you for a while now."
"Yeah...I was out with Renesmee...why are you here?"
"Just wanted to talk...do you remember when I first got to Forks? You were running off with your boyfriend whilst Jacob Black just went off the map. It wasn't until when the Volturi came for you that I found out what you were...what he was." You sucked on your teeth, a sour expression taking over you. "You two would have been a great match, you're both liars."
"Neither of us intended to hurt you-"
"or Charlie. I know." You interupted. "Atleast you had your reasons."
"I know you feel I've abandoned you..." Bella started. "I know I haven't been around to support you with...the Romanians."
"No..." You protested.
"I miss you..."
"No!" You snapped. "You don't get to miss me, or Charlie or anyone in our family! I won't accept that!"
"I don't know how to help you! I didn't know you'd be mated to Vladimir. It was your choice! You knew he had enemies! Is that who you've been hiding from? The Volturi? Are they after you?"
You stared at her. "It was my choice. I let myself be blindsided by all of this...I was way over my head."
"So was I...It wasn't easy for me either, sometimes I don't know why this all happened." Bella was referring to the target on your back, the Volturi were out for blood and you had mysteriously vanished two months ago. It broke Vladimir's heart. Even a phone call or a letter would suffice.
"Why did you leave us, your family, Bella? Why did you choose to leave us behind?"
"... because of Edward. Renesmee became another reason why."
"We do terrible things for the people we love?" You said softly. "Stop asking why, you won't find an answer there. Start asking what."
"What did you do for the person you love?" Bella said finally in realisation and you nodded.
"We are very different Bella yet we both have that one trait that runs in our family. We'll do anything to protect the one we love."
"Just tell me what you did..." Bella pleaded.
You gave her a sad smile before stepping around her and going to the door.
Bella clenched her eyes shut hearing your footsteps, she knew this would be the last she ever saw you. She felt it in her gut. She even knew why you wouldn't say. You didn't tell her because you were protecting her and the Cullens, so they wouldn't be involved.
'Tell Vladimir, I'm sorry.' You wanted to tell Bella, but you didn't. You just kept walking down the hall and closed the door. What would be the point? Vladimir knew you loved him, and he also knew how sorry you were. You made sure of that before you disappeared. There was only one more thing. One last destination.
You thought about everything. Everything you had given away. Everything you left behind. Nothing will be left, like you never existed, only your memory.
Renesmee dug into the pocket of her cardigan pulling out the necklace you always wore. You had given it to her in a brief visit. You told her, you loved her. You told her to never doubt herself or her actions. If she knew the reason behind her actions, then do it. You kissed her head, gave her a hug and then abruptly left.
You took all the money from your bank account in cash, split it three ways before sending each to a place no one would suspect. You left a simple note in the envelope.
'Use it.
From an old friend,'
You left your initials at the bottom.
Charlotte's head snapped to the door when a thud was heard. The postman had arrived and delivered a bulky looking envelope. Her address was handwritten. She tore the envelope open to see a stack of money. Peter looked over her shoulder, taking the note as she took the money. Peter read it over, his frown growing before showing it to Charlotte.
Siobhan reached for the envelope slightly wet at the corners from the rain outside. She tore it open as Maggie stood in the doorway, a look of confusion. Siobhan barely acknowledged the cash and took out the note but Maggie snatched it before she could look at it. Siobhan send a disapproving look to Maggie but let it slide as she took out the money. Siobhan looked up again to see a look of concern on Maggie's face and reached for the note.
Benjamin eyed the envelope as Tia leaned on his shoulder. He tore it open and passed the envelope, cash still inside to Tia, before the two looked over the note. Amun noticed the look on Benjamin's face. It was one of confliction and worry.
"You know what to do right? You send them away, you don't ask questions, you give no return address, you don't give a name. Do you understand?" You said to the dark haired boy. He nodded. "No questions, no identification or location, send it away and forget about it."
You smiled and nodded. "Thank you for doing this. Don't think about this later, just move on with your life and give it your all."
He nodded again, this time a little slower, this was the goodbye.
"Thank you, Eric."
"I don't know what to say." Eric said.
"You don't have to say anything." You smiled. "So how do I look? Am I photogenic enough?" Eric nodded with a sad smile. "You'll be captured in time. No one will ever forget you." He didn't know how accurate his words were, and that was good. Eric will live a good, long, happy life. It was all you wanted for him.
"Right, this won't be an ordinary selfie that you double tap. This one...this one will be timeless." The wind picked up, typically dreary, windy Forks. "Go on then, give us a spin." Eric smirked, camera at the ready. You grinned.Click! In a Marilyn Monroe fashion you stepped into the middle of the frame and spun. Click! Click! Click! Click!
Eric’s face was illuminated by the laptop screen that night, he found the right picture. You were in midspin, your hair untamed as it billowed in the strong winds. Your eyes were shut with a grin, arms spread wide and standing on your tiptoes. This was the one. He selected the picture before clicking ‘OK’. He sat back for a moment in his seat thinking back to what happened after he took the pictures. You grinned, pulling your hair back from your face. “Beautiful!” Eric said in glee. “I’d say this is my best, you can be my muse.” You giggled before things became sad again. “I’ll do exactly what you asked. I promise, and i wont tell anyone, ever.” Eric promised.  You nodded. “Good, it’s important that you don’t, for you.” “Are you sure you want to do this?” “Eric...there are things i can’t explain, i’m doing whats best for me. You helped saved me.” He saw the look in your eye, the look of certainty and he nodded. You nodded back before turning away, stuffing your hands in your pockets. He never saw the tears begin to rub down your face quietly. He watched you go, knowing this would be the last he saw you and he knew that this moment would be etched into his memory forever. When he was old, perhaps a family who have grown up and had their family now, he’d still remember you; young and a mystery. The one who should have had a long happy life, but for whatever reason, never will.
Eric finished typing. It was only a page. There was something poetic about how your memory was in one page- fitting to show your short life. He read it over one last time before pressing ‘print’. As the paper was printed into various copies he grabbed some white envelopes. he looked at the sticky notes he had placed all over his desk- the various addresses you wanted him to send them to. He did what you asked. He ignored all the questions he had whilst giving each envelope a different address. He folded each copy neatly and put them in an envelope each before sealing them. Tomorrow morning, he’d post them.
Demetri suddenly looked up, startled. He stopped in his tracks. Jane, Alec and Felix turned to look at him in confusion. “What is it?” Felix asked. “I-I can’t track the human anymore.” “The one we are hunting down right now?” “That bella girl’s cousin, the one associated with the Romanians, they’re just...gone.” “How can they be gone?” Jane scowled,  “I have no idea, this is new for me.” “Flaming hell, stay here, i’ll go to where he last had them.” Felix rolled his eyes before speeding up head.  “You’d better tell Aro of this when we return.” Jane sneered. “Jane, your acting like i am being ridiculous!” Demetri remarked totally astounded. “My gift may not be working!” “Or stage fright.” Alec shrugged earning a small smile from Jane in amusement. “This isn’t funny!” “Oh, come on now Demetri, perhaps they got help from someone. Someone might be able to block your gift. I think we all know we all have our limitations.” Jane lectured him.  “You don’t understand!” Demetri declared. “Yes, I do. I have been in the same situation, twice.” She snapped. “Does Isabella Cullen ring any bells?” “His gift is fine.” Felix said flatly. “Come and see this.”  They followed him to see your body. You were dead. Demetri sighed in relief. “Oh my gift is fine. Oh praise the heavens if they’re a thing.” “I’m not going to lie, i didn’t see this coming.” Alec tilted his head, standing over you. “Let’s go home,” Jane said. “This was a waste of time.” “Think they might have tried to prove a point?” Felix nudged Demetri. “Like what?” Demetri’s brow furrowed. Felix shrugged. “Not sure, just seems a lot of bother to go from America to Romania to go back to America to die, no?” Demetri shrugged in response. “Perhaps they were trying to be poetic.” Alec mocked as Jane hummed in amusement.
Aro sat in waiting for his guard to return. As he did so, he thought back to when the whole bother began.  You marched out of the Romanians home in sheer rage.  “Oh, enough.” Vladimir followed you. “You’re being ridiculous.” “Am I!?” You yelled turning back to him. “They’ve taken everything from you! Now they’re threatening you!?” “Same old, same old!” Vladimir dismissed it with a frantic wave from his hand. “Sweetheart, they’ve been threatening us for centuries before you were even born!” Vladimir smiled taking your face into his hands. “There is nothing you can do, my love, come back inside and calm down.” Stefan was watching from inside the house intently, but your attention wasn’t on him. You wore a desperate look, staring into Vladimir’s eyes before pulling him into a kiss. He kissed you back immediately and you pulled away from him. “Just give me some time to think, i’ll be back, i promise.” Vladimir reluctantly nodded. “Don’t be too long, it’s late.” You nodded, kissing him one last time before getting into your car and driving off. When you were quite far off, out of sight, you pulled over under the shadow of the trees. You let out a sob, smacking the steering wheel twice. You held your head in your hands, crying, letting out all the frustration you had. You wanted to heed Vladimir’s words but you couldn’t. You had to do something. The Volturi had to squirm a little bit more, ruin their happy, perfect lives with some rain.
You did a double-take on the note pad you had left in the passengers seat. You often listed your day to day errands so you didn’t forget. Luckily enough, you had a pen. You hesitated before grabbing the note pad and pen, scrawling on the paper. You dug around some more to find an envelope from the pack you had needed three weeks ago. You googled the Volterra castle’s address and before you could change your mind, you immediately left to post it.
Vladimir had told you a secret- one that would shake the very foundations of the Volturi. One that couldn’t be taken back. You knew what this was, this was retaliation, this was signing your own death certificate but you loved Vladimir, and you would do anything to protect him. This secret would hold the Volturi off, this threat would shake their core. Which is exactly what you wanted to give he Romanians, as much of forever you could give. After the envelope was sent away, the guilt set in. You would be leaving Vladimir, sacrificing yourself for him. Would he ever forgive you? Aro broke away from his thoughts when his trusted guard returned, never knowing Vladimir’s reaction to your threat.
You told him immediately but pulling him into a hug first. “I did something.” Concern etched on his face. “Sweetheart, what did you do?” You whispered it in his ear and he pulled back abruptly. “You didn’t, tell me you didn’t. You’re lying. (Y/N), you’re lying!” You shook your head. “I...I can’t protect you from this, and you knew that! That’s what hurts! You’ve chosen to leave me! You...you’ve broken my heart.” “I’m sorry, i’m sorry, i’m so sorry. I just couldn’t handle what they were doing to you. I want you to be safe, even if that means giving up my life!” “You didn’t even give me a choice!” Vladimir yelled gripping your arms. “I knew i shouldn’t have let you go.” He sobbed, but tears didn’t fall. You took his face into your hands. You kissed his cheek repeatedly all the while apologising. “I don’t think i can forgive you for this.” Vladimir said lowly, he couldn’t look at you. “You don’t have to.” You mumbled. “You don’t have to.”
Vladimir didn’t speak to you for a week, nor did he look at you and you let him. You knew you had crushed his heart. It was only a matter of time before the Volturi would come for you. You had a plan, you knew what you were going to do. You knew how you were going to make it easier on everyone but first you had a call to make.
The time came around when Vladimir and Stefan would be leaving for a hunt. Stefan forced him to say his goodbyes to you with the statement that ignoring you would only make him regret later. You were in your room when Vladimir appeared at the doorway. “Stefan and I are going away to feed.” Vladimir said quietly. You nodded. “Okay, that’s good, you’ve not fed much.” Vladimir swallowed hard before letting out a breath and quickly walking toward you. You quickly stood up and he pulled you to his arms. “I love you.” He mumbled into your shoulder. “I’m sorry for my behaviour.” “Don’t you dare be sorry.” You whispered. “You have every right. I love you more than you’ll ever know. Promise me, you’ll remember that.” “I’ll never forget, im not angry with you. I’m angry with them because i know what they’ll do. You...” He let out a soft laugh. “you are exactly why i love you. You’re brave, and strong and in this situation i wish you weren’t.” He pulled you into a kiss. “I love you. I should get going, Stefan has a centimetre long patience span.” “Oh boy,” you joked, smacking his arm. “you better get going.” He kissed you one last time. “Farewell, (Y/N).” “Goodbye.” You whispered to him and he broke away from you. Then he was gone.  You let out a strangled sob. It was the final goodbye...and he didn’t even realise it. You picked up your wallet and keys as well as a jacket. It was all you needed. As you drove down the road, you dialled a number of an old friend and put it on speaker. “Hello?” “Hey Eric, it’s (Y/N) (L/N).” You smiled. “Oh my god, no way, i havent seen you since graduation! What’s up?” “Well i figured a good little catch up is in order. Up for a coffee?” “Definitely! When?” You looked at your clock 12:03pm. “How about tomorrow at three thirty? I should be in Forks by then.” “That’s great, i’ll see you soon!” You knew what you had to do. You had to befriend Eric all over again before you could ask him this. Vladimir returned to an empty house. He tried to call you, your phone was off. You never returned.
Aro tore open the envelope before he nearly lurched out of his chair. it was a simple note.
‘I suggest you tell Marcus the truth... Before i do.’ Your initials were at the bottom. The receptionist quivered in fear seeing the look Aro wore, it was pure anger. She could only let out a yelp when he ferociously shoved her, throwing her into the stone wall behind the twins. She died instantly. “Are you alright?” Caius asked. “Excuse me, i have some thinking to do.” Aro said. Aro said nothing more of the subject for weeks before he finally gave the order to kill you. The only explanation he provided was a threat to vampire kind. A blatant lie.  Aro chewed his lip, the rage rising in him again at the memory before he spoke to the four guards. “Is it taken care of?”
About two months after Aro’s outburt you were sat with Eric in the La Push beach.  “Eric, i’m in trouble. As you’ve probably guessed...no one knows im here and its better off that way.” “What kind of trouble?” “I can’t say without putting you in danger. These people are going to kill me Eric and i can’t let them. I cant say it’ll be quick in painless.” Eric remained quiet and you continued. “My time is almost up. I’m not going to let them get me, i can’t. So...i’m going to do it myself.” “No way. Go to the police-” “Don’t ask questions, this is bigger than the police. Just trust me when i say i have to do this.” It took a lot of hours for Eric understand you needed him to do something for you beyond the grave and be okay with it. Eventually, as sick as it made him, he agreed.  “I’m meeting Bella on Friday, im dealing with everything else. I just need you to do your part.”  Eric was silent. He didn’t know what to say, and if he did say something he might vomit. “I’m sorry, really, i am.” You said sincerely before leaving.
You never told anyone about the second note. The never mentioned the second envelope addressed to Marcus Volturi. You posted it after visiting Renesmee and giving her your necklace. “To be blunt master, we didn’t have to.” Felix said. “They were dead when we got there.” “Killed themselves.” Jane added. Aro let out a laugh. “Pathetic,” Aro sneered. “thank you my dears. My apologies for the waste of time.”
Every coven were sent a letter, a week later. They each opened it. It was designed like a newspaper with your photograph. ‘YOUTH TRAGICALLY TAKES OWN LIFE, WILL BE MISSED.’ It was like a headline. ‘They were found dead too soon. No foul play was determined. Family and friends may never know just why their loved one is gone after a two month disappearance. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends.’
Aro scowled. “What in the world?”  “Who was that from?” Caius asked. “I don’t have the slightest idea. There is no name or return address.”  tossed the paper at the table. “I’m burning that later.”
Vladimir let out a cry. “No!” He cried. “No! Please! Not again!” He fell to his knees, Stefan taking his side to comfort his friend. “Oh (Y/N)...” “Benjamin...” Tia called softly and Benjamin turned to Tia with a smile letting the swirling tornado of water fall down.  “It’s (Y/N)...” She said before handing over the piece of paper. His smile vanished, he was clearly saddened. Tia wrapped her arms around his waist. Explaining to Maggie what had happened to you was the most difficult thing Siobhan had to do in a long time. Maggie was visibly upset looking at the piece of paper. “They we’re afraid...of the Volturi.” Maggie said solemnly. Siobhan nodded. “It was their choice, we couldn’t have done anything.” “They never asked...” Maggie stressed looking ready to cry as Siobhan pulled her into a hug making eye contact with Liam, who looked on in sympathy.
“Haven’t they caused enough pain!?” Kate snapped. “Their fear of the Volturi, our fear, it’s why they’re dead!” “Kate!” Tanya looked at her. “We couldn’t have stopped this, we didn’t know.” Garrett rubbed Kates arms in comfort. “But she’s right, we’ve let them come to this after all these centuries. That human would be alive if we didn’t do something.” “They never said anything.” Carmen stressed. “Because they couldn’t!” Kate said loudly.  Eleazar stayed silent and Carmen instantly noticed his behaviour. “No.” Carmen said immediately, taking her mates shoulders firmly. “Don’t you dare torture yourself over this.” “I was a part of that coven Carmen,” He took her hands from his shoulders and cradled them to his chest. “how could i not?” Peter and Charlotte reached out to Jasper and Alice, promising their support if needed. Bella held her head in her hands at the dining table. Edward was kneeling beside her rubbing her knee and whispering to her words of reassurance every so often. Renesmee was with Carlisle, Esme, Emmett and Rosalie in the other room. They decided they should be the ones to tell her about your passing. Rosalie crouched down. “Renesmee...we have something to tell you. We want you to know it’s okay to cry and be sad and that we love you. It’s about (Y/N)...they died, sweetheart.” Emmett lifted Renesmee murmuring words on comfort as he lightly swayed her. “I know kid, i know.” Five days later, a letter arrived specifically addressed to Marcus Volturi. The receptionist barely caught him pass her and she handed it over to him. He thanked her before continuing to the throne room. He tore open the envelope and took his seat at the throne. ‘Marcus,
If things went the way i hoped, then your coven never got to me and you’ve received this beyond the grave or just before.
I need you to know what i did, for i fear Aro has lied or not told you all together what was in my note. If you did not know what i reveal in this letter then Aro did not take my warning seriously.
I am giving up my life for Vladimir, please respect that. I don’t care about the others opinions. I’d just appreciate your understanding of why i did this. I made a specific threat to Aro in hopes he would back away from the Romanians. This threat involved a secret, which includes you. I think you deserve the truth and so here it is.
Didyme was not killed by the Romanians, nor anyone else but her own brother. Aro killed her to make sure you would stay in the Volturi and ultimately maintain his power. I understand this is a bold accusation, but i urge you to consider past events and i hope that you see what i say is the truth. With this, i sincerely hope you find peace.
With regards,
(Y/N) (L/N)’
It hit Marcus with brute force. It was as though some sort of manipulation to such a warped truth- Chelsea, her gift was offered to him many times. In remembering this, it made the past be seen in a whole different way. His previous thinking hadn’t made any sense. Your words in that letter...it was enlightening. He always knew there was something he couldn’t put his finger on. You had broken the wretched curse. Aro had one chance now, one... tiny... chance...to keep...his head...
“Brother, are you alright?” Aro offered a smile.
“...Aro, is there something you wish to tell me?”
