Billy would like to say it is in fact not his fault. It’s really not. Who hits someone with magic they obviously don’t know how to use? Well okay maybe he had done that before, but it’s not like he ever did it around other people where they could get hit! 

But someone was an idiot and now he’s here, as his normal ten-year old self kicking his legs while sitting in the Watchtower as the others argued. Apparently the League thinks he’s been de-aged, which is good as his secret isn’t out. 

The uh, issue is that something about the spell might have um, partially manifested the gods- or as he called them the Mediterranean Magic Men, if only because of how annoyed it made Zeus. Now everyone can see the chat that’s usually only visible to him and apparently it’s concerning. 

He doesn’t see how it’s an issue, Zeus has been silenced for the next hour and Hercules has been dying of laughter for the last three. Oh, wait, it might be from Mercury’s constant attempted flirting with Flash. …Or the fact they’re trying to convince him to commit a crime and he’s honestly down for doing so seeing as he’s a homeless ten year old who is down for getting clairvoyance and super speed for the next thirty minutes in exchange…

Something I made in a post that I think'll be lost in the texts + expanded a bit more

These panels are chronological events following AFO's pursuit of Yoichi's Factor.

AFO could tell if people were related through a Quirk. AFO and OFA also are connected to each other. In Kamino, AFO could confidently tell All Might that OFA had been passed on, so all that All Might had left were leftover embers.

When AFO killed Kudo, he asked where Yoichi was. He knew Kudo wasn't the holder of Yoichi's Factor at that time. He also realized when looking at Yoichi's hand that Yoichi's natural Factor was so weak he hadn't registered its existence. This implies AFO could sense Factors since he was young, and Yoichi's natural Factor never stood out to him.

Below are three panels of Bruce (right to left). Bruce fought, AFO killed him, and looked away in disinterest.

When he beat down Bruce, he already had a sense that Bruce didn't hold the Factor anymore. That's why, rather than yell in his face to figure out where it is and interrogate for a long time, he pulled up his corpse to inspect him better.

Bruce's corpse isn't resisting anything. Look at his feet; AFO literally dragged him. Bruce is already dead. Yet he's looking for something from him.

Bruce doesn't have anything for him. Nothing AFO wants.

When he looks away, he's dismissing Bruce, because Bruce doesn't hold Yoichi. AFO is wondering where Yoichi is, because he knows now that he's out there somewhere. Thus the pensive look to the wind.

After Bruce is killed, AFO and Garaki meet for the first time. Shinomori has Yoichi at this time, and AFO never comes close to him, so AFO is lost. He doesn't have any leads, and Yoichi has vanished.

Now that he knows Yoichi can transfer, it's possible for Yoichi to be kept out of his reach for the rest of his life. So meeting Garaki and having access to Life Force gives AFO more time to search.

Yoichi is still missing for 18 years though, because Shinomori is in hiding. AFO couldn't find him during the Fourth's turn.

This is why, when he encounters Banjo, the Fifth and active wielder of OFA [Yoichi], AFO is smiling.

It's been a long time, but Yoichi's in reach again. He knows where he is now. And this is the first time he's encountered the current holder.

Thus his shock.

[Yet... you never behave as I wish.]

It was the first time a Quirk wouldn't let itself be stolen. This was AFO's first encounter with this wall: it doesn't transfer without the holder's consent, and requires willpower stronger than all the holders combined to override that.

The holder is never going to give him that consent. To override the collective willpower, he's going to need something greater.

Meanwhile, look at Banjo's arms. Shinomori is the catalyst to tip OFA over the edge, that an unprepared vessel will be destroyed by how strong the Quirk is.

Banjo's arms are both messed up below the shoulder, just like Midoriya used to be. And like Midoriya uses Blackwhip to reinforce himself and stay standing, Banjo uses Blackwhip to hold his fist / arm together. His hand is being wrapped to stay in a fist.

(What I think is) The reason the limbs turn red, and then purple, from breakage, is a matter of blood vessels. Small, itty bitty, fragile things.

Using OFA breaks the whole area, from bones to blood vessels, causing internal bleeding. Thus the redness. But breaking those vessels again in a second go turns the area purple, because it causes instantaneous internal bruising.

But En wasn't ripped apart by using OFA. There's a cut on his thumb that lines up with the path of destruction; AFO sliced him in half. Otherwise, he wouldn't have that cut if it were just OFA.

It's hidden by the text in [... you never behave as I wish], but depending on where you see this chapter, you can see he got cut on the thumb. It's clearer where we see Nana take his hair from him, in [I only want... to make you mine!]

I have a post in drafts about En being cut in half rather than it being because of OFA, but I also hit an image limit, so I'm gonna end here. Ta.

I have a lot of thoughts about this arc (that I haven’t properly been able to share bc I’ve been watching with my roommate and I’m not gonna pause every 10 minutes to write a post and make him wait for me lmao) but first let me fucking start with Garp because BRO……..that trope of being torn between duty and family was played up SO well and the reason that Garp pushed both Ace and Luffy to become marines was so he could avoid this EXACT situation. Because he wanted them to be SAFE and not on the opposite side of such a long lasting war. And him knowing even from that long ago that if he let them become pirates they’d eventually have to face off and he’d be forced to hurt them, his FAMILY, because he’d dedicated his life to the marines. FUCK. I started bawling when he sat on the platform with Ace. Just. The frustration and him knowing he can’t do anything to save his family even though they’re right there within reach. All the memories he had surrounding Ace’s birth and Roger asking him to take care of his son and Garp caring for Ace and for Luffy so so much. AND AFTER ACE DIED……Garp literally asking Sengoku to restrain him bc if he didn’t he was 100% going to kill Akainu for killing Ace. I’m FINE. This is FINE. I’m NORMAL

A lone statue stood in the middle of a desolate field. Wails of the hollow wind, and although now faint, but still present smell of death occupied its surroundings for the past five hundred years. Its only company since an unprecedented tragedy took place, washing the sky blood red and the clouds letting not but a sliver of sunlight pass through.

Up until now.

Now the young guardian, frozen still in time, with his last memories played on a twisted and seemingly never-ending loop, felt something warm hit the freezing stone's surface of his face frozen in permanent terror.

All it took was five centuries of being held in purgatory, for the guardian to be allowed to finally take another breath it seemed. But that was alright. He'd accept any punishment given as the consequence of his inaction when it counted. Now that it was finally over, he let himself savor the first gulps of air he had for the longest time.

It all but hit him with his failure however, as the dust and decay filled air entered his lungs. Its particles nesting now forever inside of him as a cruel reminder, no matter how much he coughed to get them out.

At last he collapsed, shaken, onto the ground as the eternal wait didn't stop there. It would be unfair to expect of him to adjust so quickly after standing still and hearing nothing but the cries of the helpless and innocent being slaughtered or driven mad, no? What's a few more minutes of taking in the desolate sight of what was once a lush valley with children playing and birds singing, now reduced to nothing but a forgotten graveyard and a destroyed home.

After adjusting to the reality he could now move through, he went and searched for any sign of life amidst the rubble, anything that moved independently of the rushing wind.

Yet the guardian found nothing.

Not even bugs or mice repopulating the ruins. Not even vines or grass dared to reclaim the buildings. They were exactly as destroyed as if they had collapsed yesterday.

Losing hope in finding life, something else caught his eye. Something that stood out against the rot and red, something almost completely out of place, a flicker of gold. And one that he recognized almost instantly.

He rushed to it with the only thing letting him know how fast his legs were moving being the sickening crunch of dust beneath the soles of his shoes, and what was left of his brother's cape getting closer.

Falling back to his knees not a second later to reaching his destination, he carefully picked up the tattered cloth. As if it was the only thing affected by the passage of time, it was still brilliant yellow, yet ripped and fragile with holes chewed at the edges of its torn fabric.

Every emotion suddenly rushed back to him as he held the cape in his hands and their weight got just a bit too much to bear.

He heard a muffled scream and hoped that whoever it was, they could wait just a bit longer for him to let him process some of his grief first.

the last unicorn post from earlier has me thinking about the master. that yana is still in there, you know? is still someone he was, if even for a brief flash across the life of a time lord. there’s no way to unlive that life. there are ways to twist it later, sure, to make utopia into hell on earth. but the life was lived. in much the same way that the doctor can remember, can feel, the love he held onto as john smith even as that life is ripped out of his hands. the doctor choose denial and then grief and then to shutter it all away. and so john smith died, and so professor yana died, and the doctor and the master live on. the doctor has done this before, and he lives in orbit around humanity, trying to keep the best parts of them and hold them deep enough to take root (which he can pretend he gets to choose, as a time lord. as a human, it all floods in and can’t be dug back out.) but what about the master, right?

to borrow a turn of phrase: i think there are two time lords left in the universe, and they both learned how to regret.
