OK, I don't know if anyone here is into monster trucks, but being that my username is derived from one, and being that I've been into them since I was really young, I figured it only made sense to post something about them. This is a real old-school monster called "King of the Road", one of the biggest and baddest ever built. Originally created by Don Buchholtz of Wyoming, Iowa from a 1986 Peterbilt 359, it's powered by a CAT 3406 diesel engine, hooked up to a 10-speed manual transmission. Drive gear consists of a 2 1/2-ton transfer case running to three 5-ton FWD axles, plus six 66" tall Terra Tires. Altogether, it weighs 23,000 pounds.

so while I was studying in Iceland last year we went to the museum and were told how back in the day, this Danish guy got stuck in this remote fishing village for like three years bc of bad weather. after he finally returned to Denmark they found his journal he had left behind and it was literally just three years worth of him writing about how much he hated Iceland and I just. I had to draw Fannar LMFAO

I have a doodle request!
Could you show us Diesel and Diesel 10 bonding over hating Thomas. Also any shenanigans they would get into together. Thanks!
Tumblr media
After Day of the Diesels D10 and Diesel have a talk. Diesel basically saying to get over himself and stop mourning the loss of his power and actually try to get to know the people on Sodor. He'd be happier that way.

Damian: THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS I AM PERFECTLY ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF MY SELF I DO NOT NEED A BABYSITTER!
Superman: sorry bud, your dad asked me to. Also why are you doing that?
Damian constantly shooting Jason’s souped up nerf gun at him: BECAUSE FATHER MANAGED TO TAKE ALL OF MY KRYPTONITE
Superman: what?
Damian: Time to change tactics. FATHER ONLY ASKED YOU AS A LAST RESORT BECAUSE THE FLASH WAS BUSY!
Superman: what?

I've been a Tolkien fan for many years and I didn't hate TROP, I think it's decent. It made me happy. Is it perfect? No. It's definitely not Peter Jackson, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I feel like people worship PJ too much and ignore a lot of the glaring problems with his work, including gratuitous battle scenes and his penchant for flanderizing characters.
The majority of complaints I see that AREN'T just thinly veiled racism or the fact that it's Amazon property are about messy lore things, complaining about Galadriel's motivations, short hair on Elves, beardless female Dwarves, how the Harfoots are 'dirty,' etc. I agree with some of these complaints, but I don't agree that this somehow harms the source material in any way. LOTR has had many many bad adaptations over the years and one very very good one. A decent one isn't going to be the end of Tolkien's legacy. Y'all gotta chill.
