you talk about archetypes a lot and i’m currently obsessed with the entire concept. what do you know about the feminine archetypes and where did you learn it? xo 🎀
Hi love! I've read about Robert Greene's 9 Seducer Types, the 13 Female Seduction Archetypes (Women Love Power), and the 7 Female Archetypes (quiz). Ultimately, I think that all of these archetypes ultimately measure various degrees and combinations of the following qualities:
Passivity vs. assertiveness
Overt vs. covert self-expression (how they dress, speak, body language, etc.)
Dominance vs. submission in sexual, social, and professional contexts
High vs. low levels of neuroticism
Logical vs. intuitive (go with their head or their gut instinct)
Nuturing vs. leading energy
Tradition-oriented vs. free-spirited
While I think that understanding these pre-constructed archetypes can help you some truths about uncover your needs, inner world, motivations, values, and personality, it is unlikely that any full-fledged person fits perfectly into one of these boxes. I believe that it is best to use these archetypes as a way to understand your core motivations and to help you tap into your "emotional home" (the way you act and think when you feel no desire to perform for others and allow your "true self" to emerge).
Use the archetype models that resonate with you to create your unique-crafted ideal self or "dream girl archetype." by doing an intake of who you are now and the individual you strive to be. Consider your personal values, ideal lifestyle, habits, mannerisms, behavior, and how you generally move throughout the world. Therein lies the key to true self-discovery and mastery.
Hope this helps xx

i hope ruby gets a well-that’s-alright-then-style notdeath. on the one hand it will make haters mad because oh no not another companion with an impermanent end (and i like to see haters mad) on the other it would require creativity to depict this in a new way + i love all the implications i love the dark fairytale quality of these companion exits i love my un-undead schrodinger’s women
Tumblr media Tumblr media
with the way the legend of ruby sunday is titled… legends aren’t usually told about living people. legends are stories of the bygone past, of an age long since over, fictionalised and overgrown with folklore like barnacles sticking to an abandoned shell. there is such a thing as a living legend, but they’re exceedingly rare. the unmistakeable raven’s call in the 73 yards teaser, the trailer’s cut to fifteen crying alone after promising to cherry he’d protect her daughter… the foreshadowing is clear as day…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and yet. there’s one massive HOWEVER. ruby appears in s15: millie’s been spotted on set filming it. which leads me to believe — the doctor isn’t one to take the time travel route and revisit companions that in his future are genuinely dead. that would hurt too much, it would cause unnecessary trauma and could break the timeline. that must mean ruby stays alive in some way. ish. she’s alive and a legend and a mystery. girl-ballad girl-song girl-paradox
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here she is, fading out.
p.s.: thesis statement on moffatgirls from the tags i left on somebody else’s post about charley pollard.. well it belongs here since it’s basically the semiotic hurricane swirling around ruby at the moment :)

#on a personal level what interests me about these characters is precisely what gets them labeled as being subject to#misogynistic writing by pop-feminist video-essayists. as an autistic girl* (*ish) however; i find female characters that#aren’t quite ‘normal people’; women who represent an idea or concept or are a puzzle to be solved or a manic pixie dream girl to be#more and in a way far more interesting than a girl-next-door-type universally relatable protagonist#they make for more nuanced stories with more symbolism and more layers of interpretation usually. why should there be realism in a#fantastical narrative? similarly i like characters that are haunting the narrative or dead before it began (big locked tomb fan if you#didn’t know) and like. not to be tvtropes but the lost lenore archetype. dead woman who spurs the hero on to recklessness or revenge.#i identify with that dead girl. the laura palmers of the world. set the story in motion without#necessarily having agency. maybe it’s something to do with my#constant background radiation of passive suicidality. in a fun whimsical way :) i would never kill myself but i don’t want to be a real#person. i want to be objectified but not necessarily in a k*nky s*xual way (that too) in a princess in a tower way#the ultimate femme fantasy innit? there’s something about it. hashtag problematic hashtag conforming to gender roles#10000 tags be upon ye#ruby sunday#millie gibson#doctor who#dw#steven moffat#clara oswald#fifteen#fifteenth doctor#twelveclara#amy pond#charley pollard#river song#donna noble#ncuti gatwa#doctor who meta#jamie.txt#haunting

What to do when the 3D doesn't immediately comply and that interrups my manifesting process?
The Anna Delvey Method™
Tumblr media
One of the main problems most of us have while manifesting is that we look for confirmation in the 3d, which we've all heard is exactly what you shouldn't do, but how exactly are we suppose to assume the 4d if the 3d keeps banging in?
For example, to manifest a million pounds I gotta act like I already have a million pounds, which means, among other things, that I can buy that Louis Vuitton coat, right? But then I open my wallet and money is nowhere near enough to buy said Louis Vuitton coat.
So what do I do? How do I maintain the 4d illusion with this?
I use what I called the Anna Delvey Method™, which means, kid yourself like you would kid somebody else.
If you had an ugly ass weedy friend with you, what would you tell them?
.
Your ugly ass friend: if you have a million pounds, why aren't you buying the coat?
You: because the money is being wired to me as we speak, is necessary procedure unfortunately.
Your ugly ass friend: why don't you borrow money for it and pay it when you get your million pounds?
You: are you crazy? why would I do that when I'm getting my money in a couple of days? The coat isn't going anywhere dude.
.
Or some shit like that.
See another example: you're manifesting being your crush's partner. Let's use he/him pronouns for the crush, because this is almost a personal story. You gotta think like you already are his girl right? But in the 3d you aren't yet, so whenever your 3d self bothers you asking you ugly stuff, apply the Anna Delvey Method™.
.
Your ugly ass friend: if you're his girlfriend, why isn't he taking you out? Why isn't he here with you?
You: oh, don't ya know? He can't be seen with me until his best friend is away because he's also in love with me. You know, male friendships values and all that.
Your ugly ass friend: why doesn't he text you?
You: he does, but we delete anything just in case. They are really close, we don't wanna turn this into Euphoria.
.
Or some shit like that.
My point is, see your 3d self who's always getting in the way of your manifestations as that ugly ass friend who's too inquisitive and fool it.
It's worked wonders for me.

The other day i had a dream that i am remembering just now as i am trying to fall asleep and i am already turning it into something that could be a novella of sorts and it even has a plot.
The dream was set somewhere in the Old West and Main Guy was a gunslinger/bounty hunter who was also no perfectly law abiding man and he caught and beat up two targets to haul them to the next sherriff's office but there was also a Main Gal who was on his tracks for unknown reasons and - the dream's details are foggy here - she semi-partnered up with him to safely drag the other two guys to where they would be paid and in the time it took them to get to the destination he saved her life so ultimately when she had cashed *him* in, she did a Blondie-and-Tuco-style "rescue" by sniping the rope he was about to be hanged with and then they rode off into the sunset (after splitting the money 50/50, which is Not very Blondie-And-Tuco style)
So now as my falling-asleep entertainment, I have borrowed from all my beloved tropes and spaghetti Western movies (and the Jeff Bridges version of True Grit because Fuck John Wayne)
Main Girl is now the daughter of some shady asshole who abandoned her family and thus to a life of poverty but himself got rich by murder and theft somewhere in the gold mines of either California or Alaska (i still need to decide). And Main Girl, now that her brothers have moved on and her ma has died of grief and poverty-induced-illness (tuberculosis maybe. Or any other infection, gonna be vague on the details), MGirl has found out about a hefty bounty on daddy dear's head. She gets on her way to find him and cash him in (and get her sweet sweet revenge) but knows she can't do it alone so she teams up True-Grit style with The Guy, who is still a bounty hunter in this scenario, bringing the useful fact that she knows how daddy must look. It's been 10 - 15 years, but she also knows his voice, so useful to have aye?
They set out to track across the continent up north/to the west, start to bond, and become one helluva team with their complementing skills.
Needless to say, I already have a few drawings in mind because I *exactly* know what they look like :D

Freddie Way really is THE male lead I’ve ever written. He’s a rebel. He’s an outcast. He’s a future rock star. He has anxiety. He’s a born performer. He hasn’t slept in three days. He’s a ball of energy. He’s gloomy. He has a sweet tooth. He gets excited over spooky Halloween cupcakes. He’s self-destructive. He’s baby-faced with a lame haircut. He beats the crap out of bullies and bigots. He tells his friends he loves them. He’s angry at the world. He’s a child at heart. He doesn’t think he’ll live to middle age. He loves his family. He thinks he’s unlovable. He can’t be alone. He breaks into a venue just to take in the atmosphere. He’s a perfectionist. He has one functioning brain cell. He can talk for hours about his band and friends. He’s a trouble magnet. He’s bisexual. He has the brightest smile on earth.
What a man. 10/10.

i think the point of angoulême’s character is that despite her crimes and instigating behavior, she is a child. she’s on the precipice of young adulthood at nineteen, and yet she is still a child.
again, she’s a parallel to ciri and makes us think about “someone very much like ciri as she is currently, a bandit and a killer, but four years from now when she’s had even more time and distance from the innocence of childhood.” “someone very much like ciri, but she never even had a family to abandon her in the first place.” even when older, angoulême is still immature and seeking protection from others, because she hasn’t been given the space to mature and become an adult.
i think a lot of her instigative, teasing, annoying behavior towards the rest of the company can be traced to immaturity. like a child, she is hungry for attention, and doesn’t care what kind of attention as long as she gets it — so annoyance and outrage will suffice.
she doesn’t even know who she is (since her family abandoned her at such a young age), she doesn’t even consider her own bodily autonomy and safety (claiming that being hit doesn’t bother her, struggling to see herself as a person and not an object due to her suffering of s*xual abuse). she’s not had a space to grow and come into adulthood, or even teenhood, because everything has been brutal, animalistic survival, a battle to eat, to live, to kill. she’s matured physically, but not emotionally, not socially. she’s learned to act like an adult to survive, to manipulate a situation, to act tougher than she is inside, but it’s a game and façade, not the true identity which should be hers.
i think the first part of her arc in the company is that she is finally seen as a child, someone young, vulnerable, and in need of protection. in the company, she receieves clemency — not for a perceived innocence, not in exchange for information against their enemies, but because she reminded geralt of ciri, his own daughter who he met when she was eight, who he last saw (in real life, not dreams) when she was fourteen. angoulême evokes this image because she is this image.
i think the second part of her arc in the company is that she is given space to learn about herself and prepare to enter young adulthood. no, she doesn’t change herself or her personality to become a saint, she uses her experience in the business world and aspirations of wealth to guide the way — but she is given space to understand what exactly those experiences and aspirations are. instead of scrounging for food, eating the wheat paste off of a kite on some side of the road, she dines on a breakfast feast with the others every morning in the safety of a castle. she is given stability, time to reflect, to learn about herself and the relations she has to others. in this environment, she is given the space to not only be a child, be protected by the company, but to mature and reach adulthood. it’s not just the company supporting her, but her learning to support herself — the difference between “i’m proud of you,” and “i’m proud of myself.” both are needed.
and in the end, she does both the childlike and the mature thing — she decides to ride to stygga castle with the rest of them. childlike because she did not understand how heavy the commitment was, but mature because she knew she could not continue to live a dream in toussaint, she pressed herself to re-enter reality, no matter how harsh it may have been. but she can only do this because she’s finally able to reckon with her past, present, and future.

Any tips for the ingenue, sweet girly archetype?
Hi love! Here are my tips:
Make it your main mission to discover your sense of self, boundaries, goals, and expectations
Learn the art of differentiation (where the Self and another person's emotions/needs/actions end and begin) and discernment)
Become comfortable stating your needs (with confidence and empathy) and don't be afraid to walk away if it's clear the other person cannot meet these needs. It says everything about their character and desires, nothing about the validity of your expectations or self-worth
Learn how to not take others' words and actions personally. Most of the time, when someone has a lengthy and critical remark, it's all projection and says more about their insecurities than your character or life decisions
Hope this helps xx
