‘Le nouvel oeuf est jaune. / The new egg is yellow.‘ 🐣 This, again, made me stumble. 💬 Of course, Easter has just passed, and this is quite fitting, but when I came across this sentence on Duolingo I thought: ‘Yellow egg, that means golden egg, right?’ 🏅 So, is anyone else thinking of Jack and the Beanstalk? 🌱🧒 I sure am.

DET Success: Practice for test 4+ Practice for the DET test
Disclaimer: All questions inside the app are made up and entirely designed and written by our team; no external questions have been added to the app.
Welcome to the DET Success app, where you will practice for the DET English test using sample questions and sample answers designed only for you.
The DET English test is becoming one of the most attractive English tests to prove English language proficiency for students worldwide. With our app, you can practice, get a feeling of this English exam and use our sample questions to increase your familiarity with the test structure. Hence, you will be able to get a higher score than you initially anticipated.
Our app offers almost all types of English practice questions that you can use, including:
- Read and Select.
- Listen and Select.
- Read and Complete.
- Listen and Type.
- Read Aloud.
- Read, then Write.
- Read, then Speak.
- Listen, then Speak.
We offer more than 2000 questions to practice with, for various English language proficiency levels, and the questions and answers are samples made up by our team; NO REAL EXAM QUESTIONS are included.
Read and Select: You will use this question type to practice identifying real English words, you will get both real and fake English words, and you have to choose the real ones.
Listen and Select: This question type is one of the easiest questions in the DET English test. It's similar to the Read and Select question type. However, now all words are sounds.
Read and Complete: This question type of the DET English Test is actually the hardest question type to find practice material for, so our app is a great resource to learn it. In this question type, you will see a paragraph with missing words, and you have to fill in the blanks with the correct words. the first part of all missing words is always visible, and the second part is the missing one.
Listen and Type: This is an interesting DET English test question type, in which you have to listen to an audio recording and then write the English sentence that you heard. You are required to correctly do the spelling, punctuation, and capitalisation.
Read Aloud: A lot of students have a misunderstanding when taking the DET English Test, that they have to speak in an American or UK accent. Still, actually, you are only required to speak clearly so that a native speaker of English can understand what's your saying, and you will get the full mark for this question type in the DET English Test.
Read, then Write: In this question type, you will get a prompt, and you have to write at least 50 words to answer this question. This one is maybe one of the hardest questions in the DET English Test, but we are pretty sure with extensive practice with our app, you can pass it easily.
Read, then Speak: Moving on to the speaking questions of the DET English Test, this question type will show a prompt, and you have a small amount of time to prepare for it, and then you have to speak for at least 30 seconds answering the question. What's nice about this question type in the DET Test, is that the prompt is divided into three or four subquestions, so you are giving you the ideas of each section, and you just have to speak in answer to it.
Listen, then Speak: We believe that this question type is the hardest one in the DET Test. In this question type, you will listen to a prompt, and then you have to speak for at least 30 seconds to answer the prompt. The hardest section of this question is that you will hear the English question, and you will not see it written in front of you.
While practicing, you can change the difficulty level and practice with the beginner, intermediate, or advanced difficulty levels of the English questions.
Download now and use our questions to get a high score on the DET English Test.

@duolingo has 2 *fictional* conlangs and a dead language but not Quechua/ Urin qichwa, the mostly prolific indigenous language in the Americas, with over 7 million speakers worldwide. Gaelic, for example, has less than 100,000 speakers. Several other European languages have less speakers than qichwa but have widespread acknowledgement and acceptance around the planet. In fact the only 'American' indigenous languages @duolingo offers are Navajo (solo para Ingles) and Guarani (solo para espanol). This is because, unbeknowst to all of their staff or not, Duolingo and similar pay-for language learning media are fundamentally rooted in and molded by settler-colonial capitalism, and even when they offer indigenous language courses, its just for colonizers, at a price, usually not even to speak with indigenous people. The synthetic guise of multiculturalism (solely for Europeans and the arbitrary non-white cultures deemed palatable) that the neocolonial world presents is a means of placating the settler proletariat and an effective tool of genocide. We live under an oligarchy generally disinterested, even wholly ignorant, of our ability to deconstruct injustice and wholly repulsed at the suggestion that we oppose it, oriented in entirety to maintain it. Photo ID: Screenshot from Duolingo app showing several language courses and their relevant flags including from top to bottom: Klingon (a fictional language made by a white man) High Valyrian (an unrelated fictional language made by an unrelated white man), Latin (a dead language), Gaelic and Finnish (both European languages with less speakers than Urin qichwa), followed by American English, French, and German for Arabic speakers.) I got this calendar from my mom for Christmas - and I kid you not, the first topic is comics. 👀📚 So this is what I got down to: Illustrating the nouns they picked in connection with comics (Bande Dessinée) & the International Comic Festival in Angoulême - which I really like to attend sometime. 🎟️🎯 I’ve been to Annecy once for the International Animation Film Festival and it was a great experience, so I think Angoulême would be too. 💌💖 But I guess I need to improve my French skills further. Although you get by with English, too.
