(These are all my personal hc's but some are based on things we see in the anime and in the manga)

He hates mushrooms with a burning passion

Hates wine even more because Dino would make him drink it so often that he began to despise the taste.

Max once challenged him to a drinking contest. Ash won by swapping his whisky out for flat diet Pepsi

He loves diet Pepsi a lot but when he and Eiji moved into the apartment, Eiji made him cut back as he was worried for his health

On a similar note, Ash would smoke when he got extremely stressed. Eiji once saw and made him stop. He never smoked again.

(More for anime) He loves the arctic monkeys and nirvana. When he was a teen, he thought 'smells like teen spirit' and 'wdyocmwyh' where his songs

He has HIV from years of prostituting which developed into AIDs by the end of the series. He refused to get tested as he saw it as a 'sign of weakness' and as (for the manga) it was really stigmatized because of the times.

Once Dino booked him 'clients', but it was 4 women (he was about 15 I imagine) he freaked out and ran off. He and Dino didn't speak for weeks, and he ranted on and on to Blanca.

He read several books at a time and his favorite genres are Sci-Fi and Greek classics.

When he and Eiji met, he decided to read some classical Japanese literature. Eiji said to read 'the setting sun' by Osamu Dazai, afterwards he called Eiji 'sun-boy' for weeks.

After Shorter died, he ended up self-harming. Eiji cleaned him up afterwards. They cuddled and Ash and Eiji watched each other's favorite movies.

Eiji got him to watch some anime and he ended up binging all of fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood in only a few days.

He has really bad insomnia and he is not a morning person at all.

He hates anyone to see him naked. Once he walked in on Eiji and wished his body wasn't 'tainted'. Ash stood and stared at him and in a fit of embarrassment, Eiji stripped Ash. He didn't mind Eiji seeing him naked after that.

He has a mixture of a country, Irish and New York accent.
