Part two of crushing my heart with season 2 headcanons y'all 😭
I really hope there's something like this where these sisters can process all the nightmarish trauma they've been through together. And of course forgive each other for their mistakes and flaws. (Most likely after their inevitable fight rip)
I couldn't decide if I wanted to write this or draw it so I did both 🙏 Of course it's inspired by the Stillwater scene in AXL99's "Dear Friend" animation, so feel free to check it out for context.

A quick glance into the expanded Mouri household (based on this ask). The boys sleep on the two couches in the office now. It’s not hard to guess why

This is real 12th cen. castle in Tuscany, Italy. That it even exists and is beautifully preserved is amazing. It was restored for the first time in 1907 and if you want to know the price, you have to ask, b/c it’s probably outrageous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The castle (800 sqm) (8,611 sqft) is located in the center of the medieval hamlet, and constitutes one of the four sides of the main square. On the inside (and a small annex) 9 luxury mini-apartments with just as many double (or twin) bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
Tumblr media
How crazy is this? Frescos & carved stone walls perfectly preserved.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, of course they had to electrify it, put in plumbing, etc.  The property is then completed by three independent apartments located in the surrounding hamlet, a gym with dressing room, a garage and some storage rooms.
Tumblr media
The interior remains magnificent with lots of the original structure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even though it’s split into apts., it still looks like a medieval castle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Original fireplaces and lots of those wonderful frescos.

Look at this dining hall.

That carved lion.

Then, it starts to get modern at this point in a guest area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, it goes full-on cheap tile shower, sauna and elevated toilet.
Tumblr media
The first trace of a hamlet, though, dates back to the Langobardic era, just after the fall of the Ostrogothic Kingdom in 553 AD. The medieval castle itself was probably built in the 12th century and in 1385 it was gifted by the owners to the First Florentine Republic (1115-1434 AD) which used it as a defensive fortress in its long war against Siena.
Tumblr media
Its position exposed the castle to numerous attacks and pillages. Uh-oh, it wasn’t in the best location- can you imagine being up here, watching attackers and pillagers storm the castle?
Tumblr media
The gardens are stunning. But, the worst episode took place in 1528 and the castle suffered heavy damage.  Between the 16th and 17th century the castle was rebuilt and the hamlet developed to the extent it is today.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 1907 the castle was restored, but the architect who worked on the building modified the complex adding several anti-historical traits. The last restoration, which led to the conversion of the building into a luxury hosting activity, took place in 1997.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s a little guest facility that’s very modern. All-in-all, it’s a good restoration.

Note
it been so long since I read bleach manga 😅
Which ep do you think we will see orihime again?
I saw a list of upcoming episode titles that kind of give an idea of when we'll see her next but I can't find the post. But going by the manga her next appearance (unless I'm forgetting something??) is when she and Chad show up in their new clothes and Orihime shields Ichigo from Ishida's attack which is chapter 586. The last episode covered 553-ish. So we're like 30 chapters away from her next appearance, and each episode covers about 4 or 5 chapters. So if my math is correct lol maybe like 6 more episodes??

Saint Joseph cooking while Mary and Jesus rest, 1403, by Konrad von Soest.
Undeniably, the medieval Germany Nativity plays serve to underscore certain important themes from Christian incarnational and social theology. By foregrounding familiar anachronistic details —sheepdogs, kitchenware, heavy cradles, bathtubs, tattered clothes, wet diapers, smoking fires, pointless fistfights, the twin pains of cold and hunger, the scant comfort of a shared bottle of wine— the plays emphasize both the essential humanity of Jesus and his continuing presence in the life of the community, where he is unmistakably situated in the contemporary world of the poor, the outcast, and the defenseless. When we direct our attention specifically to the character of Joseph, however, a new aspect of the cultural work that the plays perform starts to emerge. Surprisingly enough, all of the German Nativity scenes have at least two things in common: first, they portray Joseph as the central figure, and second, they cast him in a role indistinguishable from that of a stereotypical mother or her maidservant. By disregarding the customary binary division of domestic labor, especially with respect to food preparation and child care, Joseph becomes a comic figure, ridiculed by the midwives, the wet nurses, or the chorus of Jews. At the same time, however, the audience comes to sympathize with him as the one character in the play whose work, hospitality, and love of family most nearly reflect the everyday struggles and joys of actual parents. While Joseph is condemned on the stage by his companions in the distant world of the biblical past, he is pardoned in the immediate present by an appreciative audience of friends and neighbors. Rosemary Hales argues persuasively that one way of understanding the depiction of Joseph in the Kindelwiegen episodes is to regard it as an imitatio Mariae […]: "Even behind the humorous abuse of Joseph there was . . . an admonition to imitate Mary. Joseph's behavior taught the male worshiper that he was obligated to care and nurture the infant in imitation of Mary. Like John lamenting with Mary beneath the cross, Joseph's rocking and cooking provided men access to an identification with what was regarded as a maternal role — in this case, care and nurturance of the Child[…]" Paradoxically, the transgression of gender roles in the Nativity plays provokes mockery but also expands the spectrum of social roles to which pious laymen might aspire. Joseph's maternal behavior is legitimized not only by the uncomprehending laughter of the women servants and the Jews, but also by the Virgin's explicit blessing of "Joseph, my beloved caregiver" (Sterzinger Weihnachtsspiel, line 553)
- Stephen Wright ("Joseph as Mother, Jutta as Pope: Gender and Transgression in Medieval German Drama"). Bolded emphases added.
