Reminder that if c!Dream didn’t manipulate c!Punz into manipulating c!Purpled into brainwashing c!Slime nothing bad would’ve ever happened to c!Quackity!!! It is all c!Dream’s fault
Never mind the fact that Slime point blank says he’s doing this because of the things Quackity actually did say and do to him
Also ignore the fact that saying Slime was tricked or manipulated into killing Quackity (even though he’d killed Purpled already) completely undermines his speech about how everyone, beginning with Quackity, had been trying to mold him to do what they wanted, and that this was Slime taking back his autonomy and personhood
Dream is to blame for everything negative that happens even if it cheapens or outright breaks established lore and characterization

Why villain stans so determined to hold the league of villains as leftist revolutionaries and fucking infants thst can't handle consequences at the same time?
I mean, if you are talking about fans seeing their faves as 'baby' is a thing for everyone. Not just for villain stans or hero stans, its a thing for everyone. The reason is i think seeing character's whole life is like watching your own child to growing slowly so it makes sense (though i saw really horrible irredeemable characters being treated as baby too).
Well, coming to your question, anon.
Tumblr media
People see league of villains leftist revolutionaries because thats literally the plot. Bnha is all about how messed up hero society is, it has flaws and heroes 1- they dont do anything about it 2- most of them dont even see anything wrong with it.
Every member of league of villains is victim of that messed up system and they are rebelling against it. Of course, obiviously, their way of rebelling is wrong but in the end, they are the only characters who ciricitize the system and calling heroes out for it. Its no coincidence either. Actually i remember someone making a post about it, how league of members resemble outcasts of the Japan, that people who are being left behind for no reason and how people are forced to be 'normal', i think in a way author is criticising his own country (maybe wold)'s abusive system with its victims.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also in this story, victims are also villains, i think its also clear that author try to show that even good people can turn into monsters, if they dont get help. That 'good-bad victim' mentality is wrong and unrealistic. You can even say author is criticizing that kind of mindset in a way.
Basically i think thats the point of story and i am really glad that author write his story like this.
Tumblr media
And i dont think 'villains stans' see villains as babies who cant handle consequences, its less about that, its more about empathizing their situtions and mental states. I mean, we are talking about victims who never get help, especially villain trio, Shigaraki doesnt really understood or more like accept what happenned to him, Toga doesnt really understand why people dont like her, Dabi doesnt even plan to survive, like, think about it.
In Toga and Shigaraki's case, narrative literally called them as 'child' for a reason.
Tumblr media
All those tragedies happenned to them when they were just little kids and from that point, they never really get help, they never had someone reach out to them, they never had a chance to really/heathy way to adress what happen to them, they wre conctsnatly shut down by society and treated as monsters, treated as they are at fault for being in this sisution at first place. Basically 'victim blaming'. Of course, in this sitution, they didnt emotionally grow either. Yes, they are not children but they are not adults either because people dont grow, if they are isolated from the world and reality, especially traumatized people. Also from their position it makes sense why they couldnt and cant see conseuquences of their actions.
Tumblr media
Btw, i think the one who cant really handle consquences are heroes/proheroes more than villains. Most villains know how their actions backfire to them but heroes are like they will kill and it will be justice, they will lash out for no reason but people will praise, they will be more violent than they need to be but they will still seen as 'heroes'. They are not 'oh so pure' characters. Both villains and heroes are gray people. I think story also pointed that the only real differences between villains and heroes are popularity (in vigilantes). We saw that there is not a single red line between them, there is just tiny line between them and it can eaisley switch depends on their situtions, thats the teryfing part of hero society' system and all story is about changing it.
(I hope you got me, anon, i think i got this question before, this is second one so weird but whatever.)

1 Thing I Love & 1 Thing I Hate About EVERY Danganronpa Character Part 1
Part 2
SPOILERS FOR ALL THREE MAIN GAMES
I’d love to hear our opinions as well in the comments or my inbox or DM’s! If you try this trend with DR characters, tag me!
Tumblr media
Sayaka Maizono
♡ Her passion for her career and friends.
✘ The way she tries to screw over Makoto when the game had just begun. Like wait and see what happens before screwing over such a great guy? Leon didn’t deserve it either.
Leon Kuwata
♡ His voice actor (English), and how real and human his execution was in that we all would be so scared and irrational. It was just so iconic and sad as it’s our first introduction to the death in this series and we all think: “shit, this is real... they are really killing these kids.” I didn’t think it would be that brutal, just seeing his body limp at the end with the haunting music.
✘ His design is disgusting. I hate how he looks.
Chihiro Fujisaki
♡ So innocent, so kind, so intelligent
✘ Shouldn’t have been killed for such a stupid reason, also they did Mondo dirty with that motive for killing as well. Just a mess. As for the actual character, Chihiro cries right off the bat when you do your introductions and that was kind of annoying to me personally.
Mondo Oowada
♡ He has a lot of respect, understanding and emotions for someone I thought would be a hard-ass douche biker.
✘ The worst motive to kill ever in a game where you know you’re getting executed if you’re found out. Like you’d be extra careful and that’s his reason to kill? Lazy writing.
Celestia Ludenberg
♡ Bad bitch energy and her goth lolita design.
✘ Manipulation and double murder. Bad bitch energy only goes so far. Confidence is different then selfishness. Also, of all the chapter 3 triple murders... the worst motive to kill.
Kiyotaka Ishimaru
♡ Emotions: secure in his masculinity, able to cry, show emotions, and apologize when he’s wrong. He’s funny and likable.
✘ The Ishimondo white hair thing was stupid. Taka was fine on his own.
Hifumi Yamada
♡ Writing takes talent, fan fiction as much as any other style or genre. Also the talent of his voice actor (who also voices Kiibo/K1-B0).
✘ Literally everything else about him.
Sakura Oogami
♡ I love everything about her. I love her wisdom, loyalty, design, voice etc. Just step on me, mother.
✘ Why the hell would she ever agree to be a spy even if it meant the end of her dojo? I just don’t think she would do that rationally because she isn’t selfish. The others would suffer for her spying. She remedies this with redemption in her letter in chapter 4 but still she should’ve said no off the bat. Everyone had something to lose. The dojo wasn’t worth spying for monokuma. Also I just don’t think she would commit suicide. She can’t help the remaining students survive and redeem herself truly if she’s dead.
Kyoko Kirigiri
♡ Bad bitch energy, calm and collected when I could never be.
✘ Especially in future arc of the anime, damn can you show some emotion please? Through your words and expressions not just your actions. Sure she was willing to “die” for Makoto but like I just want more emotion from her sometimes, even in THH.
Makoto Naegi
♡ So pure. I Love Bryce Papenbrook. Makoto reminds me of Sora and I love his design.
✘ In THH I didn’t mind his innocence but in the Danganronpa 3 future arc anime, when people started straight up abusing him and accusing him, he needed to grow a little backbone.
Byakuya Togami
♡ Love my dad, king shit, also love how over the progression of the games and animes he becomes a little more kind to his friends.
✘ Why the fuck did he mess with Chihiro’s body? Just so cruel and disrespectful.
Yasuhiro Hagakure
♡ Funny magic man. Sexy voice.
✘ Please. Please Hiro use your brain just once. Why do we have to prove Kyoko isn’t a ghost?!
Toko Fukawa
♡ Character development in UDG and I love Genocider.
✘ Putting down herself and others constantly gets old in THH.
Aoi Asahina
♡ Love her voice actress and her personality
✘ We really just gonna get everyone killed in chapter 4 huh? Surely you know they don’t all deserve that.
Junko Enoshima
♡ A very memorable villain with great hair and design.
✘ I just can’t stand her. I hate her so much.
Mukuro Ikusaba
♡ Her mercenary background is super cool as a concept.
✘ Too bad it wasn’t explored nearly enough.
Hajime Hinata
♡ Seeing the protagonist be a little less naive, innocent and positive than Makoto was a refreshing change, although I loved Makoto. I liked Hajime’s cynicism and expressions that sometimes just screamed “this shit again, huh?”
✘ I enjoy the way Izuru looks but I hate him as a character. He is sexy to look at but Hajime is just a better character overall
Teruteru Hanamura
♡ His love for his family and mother especially is so cute and heart breaking if you know the full story.
✘ He needs to know when to dial it back and quit with the perversions. And no it’s not just how he looks, Miu needs to chill at times, too.
Twogami
♡ I feel like he genuinely cares about his friends, just hides it well
✘ His death felt like a cop out and poorly written. It just didn’t sit right with me. Also his design is disgusting to me, his outfit and such.
Mahiru Koizumi
♡ Loyal to her close friends.
✘ I just have no interest in her as a character and I find her boring.
Peko Pekoyama
♡ Loyalty. Loyalty is something I value very highly in every form of relationship. Peko is also very hot.
✘ Come on girl... I know how you were raised but you should’ve known Fuyuhiko didn’t think of you as just a tool and you two should’ve expressed your true feelings long ago. Like even in secret. How do you live like this? Also I feel like killing Mahiru could’ve been avoided with a calm talk.
Ibuki Mioda
♡ Cute design, positive vibes.
✘ Cringe sometimes in the way she talks.
Hiyoko Saionji
♡ Beautiful character design and some very good insults and snarky remarks at times.
✘ Just irredeemably mean and annoying. Even when you do her free time events she is just so annoying.
Mikan Tsumiki
♡ I like her design as well as her hair, expressions, sprites and clothing.
✘ I hate her. I just hate her whether she’s in her true psycho form or timid stuttering form. She’s just annoying in my opinion.
Nekomaru Nidai
♡ So supportive, can hold my drink at a party. Respects everyone and wants the best for them.
✘ Bro Mechamaru was a stupid plot point. I just couldn’t stand looking at him and couldn’t take it seriously. Still sad when he died though.
Chiaki Nanami
♡ From chapter 5 of sdr2 on she is impossible not to love if you didn’t already. Just the selflessness, the sadness of the reveal and execution, how she returns to help Hajime at the end???? I love her. I love her hair design, color palette, her personality, everything.
✘ I’m bitter and miserable about her being the only class member to actually die (the despair arc anime) also her falling asleep at random times is kind of odd and she doesn’t seem to be like that later on in the game??? Like it seemed like a cheap joke but not actually who she is? Hard for me to explain.
Gundham Tanaka
♡ King shit, couldn’t praise him enough. He’s sexy, loves animals, and is funny as hell sometimes. His voice actor is a saint and a cool dude and I named my guinea pigs after the Dark Devas (yes I know they are hamsters in the games.)
✘ Come on dude. I get that being from Hell and magic and having evil powers is your shtick, but we all know that you and Nekomaru sacrificed yourselves so the others wouldn’t starve. We know you care about your classmates. There comes a time when it’s time to let personas and facades fade and be true to your heart. I just feel like him denying he cared at the end hurt. We all know he cared. I didn’t like how he was haughty until the end. He deserved better. I love him.
Nagito Komaeda
♡ I love him so much. So cunning and intelligent, always a step ahead. And he’s big sexy.
✘ Him killing himself in chapter 5 hurt me so bad I was like in denial for days. Also hate how Bryce Papenbrook gives him a raspy stoner psycho voice in the game then a light airy higher-pitched voice in the despair arc anime. It just bothers me. I love his voice still but the inconsistency just hurts my OCD
Sonia Nevermind
♡ I love that she’s so interested in her passions and love her feelings for Gundham
✘ Her outfit and bow are atrocious. Also why didn’t she start liking and talking to Gundham sooner on? Their romance bloomed late and it would’ve made for a better chapter 4 ending if they were a bit closer.
Kazuichi Souda
♡ Cool design and outfit, love his voice (also voices Kaito in V3) and his backstory is relatable at times. He’s also very human in that he’s scared a lot of the time or insecure or blames others in panicked situations. It’s not always a good thing but it’s human and realistic.
✘ Gosh he can be so annoying. Sometimes flirting or whining too much is well... too much.
Akane Owari
♡ Strong-willed and definitely someone I would be friends with
✘ What the hell is her outfit? Gymnasts and athletes don’t wear that shit. Stop objectifying her when it doesn’t even make the product or plot better. Like there’s absolutely no point to making her dress that way. I was a gymnast for 15 years. Even those who do parkour (which Akane seems to do more often than actual gymnastics in the anime and game) don’t wear what she wears. Also she’s underrated.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu
♡ I love him. He’s the DR character I’m most like out of all the games and anime. Tenko is a close second. I think he’s adorable, love his character arc, development, redemption, and love his voice.
✘ In the anime/despair arc, Fuyuhiko is not done justice. He doesn’t get enough lines, has a different voice actor, just doesn’t give off the same vibes.
Izuru Kamakura
♡ Sexy man long hair good.
✘ Boring character. I wish he were just Hajime.
Kaede Akamatsu
♡ Loyalty and leadership are such attractive qualities in her. Also she faced her death with such class and dignity and I respect her because I could never.
✘ Some of the voice lines Erika does for her are just weird and cringe. Just random moans or grunts... I don’t know it’s like when Ann Takamaki from Persona 5 (also voiced by Erika) makes suggestive noises as well. Just grinds my gears. Also hate her outfit down to the hair pins.
Shuichi Saihara
♡ I love his nasally voice. I love his design and he’s so adorable. I love how emotional and compassionate he can be. He ties with Makoto for favorite protag of mine.
✘ That sprite where he sniffs his hand. And his ugly ass hat.
Rantarou Amami
♡ Sexy man, sexy voice, sexy piercings
✘ Ugly outfit, and wasted potential
Ryoma Hoshi
♡ I respect him and feel bad for his outlook on life and for how poorly he views himself. I love his little hat as well and he’s the first “different styled” character (Hifumi, Bandai, Teruteru) that I liked the design of.
✘ I hate when he says “got a long ways to go,” it’s overused and annoying, and wish he gave himself more credit. Also hate that when you first meet him he warns you that he’s killed people and is dangerous to be around. Come on buddy, you know you wouldn’t hurt your friends. Stop pushing them away.
Kirumi Tojo
♡ Competence, well rounded, skillful
✘ Boring as hell. I wouldn’t waste one free time event on her.
Angie Yonaga
♡ Dark skin, super cute, love her talent as an artist myself.
✘ Gives religious people a bad name and is super manipulative which I hate.
Tenko Chabashira
♡ I relate to her and feel bad when she’s misunderstood. She’s a good person deep down. Also love her sprites.
✘ There’s more cunning, funny and clever ways to write her digs at men.
Korekiyo Shunguuji
♡ I’m in love with this man. Long hair, voice, mystery, mask, intelligence, passion, talent.
✘ He definitely was a victim of abuse and a lot of people refuse to see that and just hate him. Team Danganronpa should’ve given him a redemption arc where he realized his sister abused him and changed.
Gonta Gokuhara
♡ I love his design except for his suit. Also he’s so cute and naive. I cried for his trail.
✘ No need talk like caveman. Better way to do this.
Kokichi Ouma
♡ Like Nagito, I value his intelligence and crazy cunning.
✘ Shouldn't have died. Also shouldn’t have manipulated Gonta. That was just cruel.
Miu Iruma
♡ She has her hilarious moments and her death surprised me and was sad.
✘ Sometimes she lacks basic empathy, i.e. calling Tenko “Tencrotch” when she just fucking died.
Maki Harukawa
♡ Amazing character development. Didn’t see her surviving until the end at the start. Also her love and passion for Kaito.
✘ “Do you wanna die?” gets old.
Kaito Momota
♡ Just the overall best bro you could ever have.
✘ Has some toxic masculinity issues and anger issues.
K1-B0
♡ Pretty much everything about him. His design, his attitude and personality, especially how amazing and cool he is chapter 5 onward, his execution made me so sad. He’s so innocent and funny without trying.
✘ When you do his free time events he’s very arrogant and just talks about himself a lot... it seems odd and not similar to the Kiibo we see throughout the game.
Himiko Yumeno
♡ Super cute design, love her voice and “Nyeh...” and her sprites. Her character development is great as well.
✘ Why did they take so long to make her important and likable?
Tsumugi Shirogane
♡ An excellent and well hidden reveal
✘ I hate her. So annoying, from the voice to the references and her personality.

So let me get this straight: Hazel after killing all the huntsmen in Mistral and brutalising Oscar for most of v8 (and people dont come with "Ozpin took most of it" its still Oscars body???? Hello????) gets an redemption via death but Ironwood who we know since v2 and was always an ally and a really cool character till v8 dies as a iredemable villain???? How? Why? Its just so dumb... love you blog btw
You know, this reminds me of seeing posts that were like ‘RWDE posters are mad about Ironwood not getting redeemed and yet they don’t like Hazel or Emerald being redeemed???’ And just... Yes, Kathy, the two are incredibly different.
Ironwood has been a hero for seasons who has displayed flaws and made mistakes but was not ever treated as a possible future villain by the narrative, and he was treated as pure evil before he tried to do anything more evil than ‘saving the people he can since he can’t save everyone,’ but then started getting pushed into the maniacal heartless abuser villain role at lightspeed within one season + one episode of the show and (I cannot stress this enough) two or three days of in show time. Our main characters treated him like a monster without knowing about the more villainous actions for the better part of the season, without any of them wondering if there was some mistake, no sympathy given to the fact that Ironwood had his back against the wall or was suffering from mental strain or a horrible injury, no recognition of anything that the mains did badly that maybe contributed to the situation they were in. His ‘fall to villainy’ was outlandish, over the top, out of character, and lacking in any real emotional depth, they blamed him for all of Mantle’s problems despite him having done his very best to ‘go for both’ and Jacques Schnee and Watts being the actual ones responsible for the state of Mantle - as well as huge systemic issues that Jacques was purposefully trying to preserve. He then was (most likely) killed off by the writers who then laugh at how it was ‘always planned’ while no single person in the group of protagonists gives a care.
And on the flipside, you have Emerald and Hazel! Both of them spent seasons being three times worse than James at his worst (seriously, he at least had good intentions.) Emerald and Ironwood’s direct kill count is the same (one,) and Emerald contributed to the deaths of hundreds more at the Fall of Beacon, knowing what it would lead to, and only gives small, rare indications that she feels remorse for it (it’s almost sad.) And Hazel is hinted at being responsible for many of the deaths in Haven and spent his time blaming Ozpin for the fact he was actively trying to murder children. Both of them continued their villainy right up until the very season they got redeemed as they both continued working with Salem to bring down yet another kingdom and while Hazel was beating a fifteen year old, Emerald was eagerly volunteering to help Cinder try and murder Penny yet again. And then when it was revealed that Salem wanted to destroy everything including them, they turned out of self preservation without apologizing for their terrible, harmful, murderous actions. And then the narrative acts like Hazel was some martyr who taught Oscar a valuable lesson about not letting anyone else die and isn’t it sad he died before he could do the bare minimum to earn any sort of redemption. And Emerald winds up having friendly laughs and getting endearingly teased by the people she’s arguably hurt the most, with the girl she’d murdered right there laughing with them. And now she can get away with now being part of the group without any indication she’s changed, no apology, anyone that protests her involvement being scolded for their lack of trust...
One of these things is an incredibly badly handled hero-to-villain story, where they failed to get the beats of emotional depth for a fallen hero arc and rushed it instead without care, leaving it feeling out of character and out of the blue despite the small bit of groundwork that they had in place for the narrative.
The other two are incredibly badly handled villain-to-hero stories, where they failed to get the beats of emotional depth for good redemption arcs and rushed them instead without care, leaving them feeling very insincere and out of the blue despite the small bit of groundwork that they had in place for the narratives (mostly on Emerald’s side, Hazel gave less indication.)
Also we weren’t playing Yankee Swap, we didn’t trade in James as a hero for Emerald or Hazel, we just had three characters who were all handled badly.
But yeah, it’s really weird that the same volume where the writers were trying to force us to sympathize with Hazel was also trying to force Ironwood into an irredeemable category. The thing is, if I didn’t know about James’ never-mentioned-in-show semblance, I’d not be down for a post volume 8 redemption because I think trying to kill children and actively wanting to torture people as a full grown adult is kind of hard to get redeemed from. But Hazel did that, Hazel is just as if not MUCH MORE evil than Ironwood, so why on earth did the series treat Hazel as redeemable and kind of right and just needing a hand of mercy extended to him? Why was James ‘keep soldiers off the battlefield, turn my gun around because I don’t want to hurt Qrow even though I think he’s trying to murder me, look away from the Grimm while I shoot it’ Ironwood treated as the 100% deserving of pain and death and treated as totally irredeemable villain no one could sympathize with?
When you factor in his semblance it really just makes even less sense. I literally cannot comprehend why the RWBY writers do what they do. Also, thank you so much for the compliment on my bog! Sorry to kind of rant there haha. XD

god yeah @ your post about wl like its so weird when people paint her as like. the gentle motherly type when most of her dialogue regarding her children pretty actively dehumanizes them. she CHOSE to participate in the vessel project bc it literally couldnt have happened without her consent and honestly she seems to have less empathy for thk than pk does (not that this excuses his actions ofc). like shes a great character and i love her but she is in no way an innocent victim
It’s literally just plain misogyny, lol. People want strong female characters, but they can’t handle said strong female characters when they end up being morally grey and thus accountable for their actions, bc of course Bad Evil Men always are the driving force between a woman doing horrible things, or she just happens to be a bitch because apparently that’s just how she is or because the creators hated her enough to not make her a Mary Sue. Write any female character to have actual significance and act like an actual important person and I assure you, if they don’t fit the perfect ‘good’ protagonist trope, then people are gonna fuckin’ hate them.
As for WL in particular, I blame it on a mix of this, as well as her having a husband who also ended up doing awful shit. Stick a man and a woman together in any sort of crime, and the male is 100% always gonna be villainized while the woman gets woobified to hell and back. And it gets even worse when they’re in a relationship, because of COURSE a healthy m/f relationship can’t ever exist while also doing fucked-up shit, it’s ALWAYS the man being viewed as a complete irredeemable asshole who’s dragging the woman into this against her will, no matter what the actual canon storyline says. Pretty much all PK bashers I see always think he’s some cold, arrogant, self-assured asshole while also depicting WL as this sweet motherly figure who’s deeply hurt by him killing a bunch of her kids, when in canon, it’s arguable that she’s even more detached than he was! The scene at the end of the Path of Pain showed Hollow when they were fresh out of the Abyss, still in prime baby form- hell, the scene he remembered could have come the moment after he brought them into the Palace and looked at them and felt pride in creating a Pure Vessel. There’s no argument here that PK loved his baby, his guilt is literally the reason why the Path of Pain exists, and it’s clear that he started to care for them when they were pretty damn young- but WL, upon seeing Ghost, acts as if they’re just another mindwiped servant puttering about. Sure, she warms up to them a bit later after they visit her a few times, but she’s still fucking frigid, and cleary sees them as an asset to Hallownest’s perpetuation rather than her kid. Hell, I felt more gutpunched by her coldness than I was when I saw PK pulling Hollow out of the Abyss and realized he killed all those kids, because once I saw the Path of Pain and all the evidence pointing to him hating what he did, I was like ‘ah, so it was a desperate political maneuver’ and didn’t take it as something he was personally invested in. WL, however, took me aback because I think the fandom already trained me to think of her as kind and fragile, and she ended up being just as cold and distant as any queen should be. Like, I was straight-up going ‘they’re your CHILD!!’ at her because I KNEW she knew that Hollow was dying due to an ‘idea instilled’ (oh, the concept of LOVING YOUR FAMILY, INSTILLED IN THEM BY. HER. HUSBAND.), and she was talking about them like a leaky pipe that needed to be replaced instead of a child of her flesh and blood.
...Which, again, was misogynistic of me, because I made the mistake of automatically assuming that she would be a good parent on account of her gender, when gender has no bearing on parental capabilities. And like, she...doesn’t really have a need to be a doting mother, when you think about it?? First off, we canonically know that Ghost’s small stature is because they’re developmentally stuck at the level of a very young child, possibly even a newborn if we assume that PK picked Hollow on the day of their hatching, and they’re extremely mobile and more than capable of defending themselves. Like, I know it’s tempting to wanna make Ghost the cute little toddler, but we see in canon that even if they’re still just a baby god, they’re more than capable of handling complex problems and killing creatures. So they don’t NEED to be babied, they don’t NEED someone to fuss over them and treat them like a delicate little child. And if they were mobile at birth, then it’s very possible that both PK and WL’s parenting instincts reflect that, with them acting more as teacher figures to their very independent children...if they had that at all. With PK, I assume that he has SOME childrearing requirements in his species due to the fact that we know he cared for Hollow, and because there’s often little other reason, evolutionarily speaking, for important mate bonds to occur- and we know that he feels that deep mate bond, because he loved his wife enough to give her his soul. Like, it’s not the king and queen’s soul, he didn’t force her to be tied to him, the Kingsoul is literally a charm manifested from his end to commemorate him marrying her. Which, in turn, implies that he’s a creature whose offspring benefit from extended parental guidance out of the egg. But WL?? WL is a fucking TREE. She doesn’t operate NEARLY on the same level as anything that we can understand, hell, she probably doesn’t even HAVE childrearing instincts at all. Trees are well-known for mass producing viable seeds that have a very slim chance of survival, and she’s a tree who serves as a fertility/life goddess for a kingdom of bugs. Who, as we all know, also like to do the whole ‘mass-breed to win’ sort of deal. We see that in practically all of the other matriarchs of the feral bugs in Hollow Knight specifically, where the mother will birth children to strengthen her claim as queen; it’s not a personal thing, it’s a bug thing. When you think about it from that perspective, she really doesn’t need to give a shit about her kids. Nor should she! She is an immortal goddess that thrives off of the worship of mortals and the domination of other gods. She needs unyielding devotion to thrive and territory of her own to survive, and the fact that she’s a natural breeding matriarch ties into that. It’s not something to be ashamed of, nor is it something that PK ‘tried to control’, it’s merely a way for her to establish and hold power- if anything, the fact that she feels guilty about it at ALL is proof that there’s some scrap of compassion left in her, because the more you think about it, the more it makes sense for her to engage in the Vessel Plan and not care about the fate of her offspring. She is a tree, she doesn’t rear her young. She is a queen with a duty to her people, and keeping that position secured is a direct benefit to her status as a goddess. She is a matriarch in a kingdom of bugs, from a time before ‘’’advanced civilization,’’’ she doesn’t NEED to be a good mother. Like I said, it’s the fact that she feels guilty at all that shows she’s got a scrap of kindness in her, but even if she didn’t, that still wouldn’t make her an evil character. It’s just blue-orange morality, you can’t judge her based off of a scale she doesn’t even fit on.
Admittedly when I was in the period of ‘hate PK and WL’ about a year ago, when I was still a fandom newbie, I ended up hating WL longer than I did PK, but that was before I really figured out that she’s also incredibly...detached from the world? Or, at least, the perception of the world in Hollow Knight. And also, the only reason why I hated her for a longer duration of time was because she seemed dismissive and wasn’t doing anything to save Hallownest- because I don’t give a shit about massive character death, if you are a ruler it is YOUR responsibility to care for your civilians, even over your own children- but again, once I figured out how very alien she is, it made it hard to stay mad. Because like, she’s just on such a different plane of existence that you can’t expect her to have done a better job than her husband; of the two, she’s the more alien, godlike being imo, because it’s very clear that even if she played the role of Queen, she was much more of a goddess figure than a king that just so happened to be a god, like PK. And you can’t expect the gods to care, or to comprehend the vast scale of mortality and the tragedy of death. Your anger at a god is less anger at a direct person and more anger at a mountain, a hurricane, a creature so large that it didn’t even notice your suffering. Obviously, this doesn’t dismiss her, because she was still in control and knew that it was wrong, but she probably doesn’t process that grief in the same way that we do, or even in the same way that other bugs do, because again- she’s alien to all of us. Which in turn is why woobifying her is so stupid, because she is just barely human-analogous, and infanticide is, surprise! Extremely common in the animal kingdom. And if it’s not infanticide, then it’s high death rates via other causes- we’re just unusually squeamish about that because our kids take such a huge toll out of us and require so much care and time to raise that we’ve evolved superparent instincts. WL has not, she doesn’t need to, and I’d argue that the vessels don’t need her that much either, even if having her around would be nice. Claiming that the Pale King kept her from rearing her young when there’s indicators that he’s more inclined to be the one who has parental instincts is fucking stupid- she chose that route for herself, likely because she felt like she had no other choice. She’s a queen, it’s her goddamned job to save her kingdom, holy fuck. None of the characters in Hollow Knight are morally pure.
Also, I don’t usually like to bring the topic of racism into worlds that are non human-analogous, but another reason why I don’t like the issue of woobifying the White Lady is because there’s a chronic issue with treating pretty little white girls like they’re incapable of doing anything bad in their lives so they can turn right around and perpetuate racist ideals and behaviors because they’re like ‘uwu im baby’. I don’t think Hollow Knight is guilty of this at all, because WL and PK are NOT shown in a good light- and also because, like I said, they’re fucking bugs, and I don’t view the gods as colonizers as much as I view them as rival rulers from neighboring kingdoms acting like assholes to each other at the expense of peasent lives, like in medieval Europe- but when you’re dealing with fandom as a whole, filled with people who want to humanize the fuck out of these very clearly inhuman characters, you have to step back a little and squint suspiciously at people throwing bitchfits about a (literally, in this case) white female supposedly being more innocent and victimized than she actually is. Because even if there’s nothing going on with the actual material, the fact that someone is willing to get legitimately angry at other people over fictional characters on the basis of that trope-especially when the game itself makes it a damn clear point that all the gods had good intentions in mind that they executed in the worst way possible- it is REALLY not a good look.
(Also just for the record, I really love WL now, by virtue of also loving PK- but I probably would never have cared much about PK if he DIDN’T kill a fuckton of his own kids and angsted over it. I like horrific falls from grace, preferably with a lot of murder and other horrifying shit, so he’s like, PEAK content to delight my angst/horror hunger. So I’m def. not dissing on WL here because LITERALLY the only reason why I like her now is bc she and her husband are child murderers, otherwise they’d probably be too boring/vanilla for me to give a shit.)

*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The memory of blood always left a bitter taste in her mouth. Despair weighed heavily against her chest and the feeling pooled itself against her very being, suffocating her in endless abyssal black.
Her hands, stained with the crimson red of her victims continues to glisten brightly in the light of day. No matter how many times she's washed her hands or how hard she's scrubbed them clean, the blood never rinses away. It serves as a dreadful reminder of her sins and she'll never allow herself to forget.
She is a monster. She is irredeemable. In the eyes of society, she is a villain and that's all she'll ever be.
Her acceptance of such a blasphemous title was only natural. The moment she was caught, there was no choice left in her life. Like she deserved, she'd be placed somewhere her freedom could no longer apply. She was ready for it, accepting her fate that would forever confine her to a room with no solace of escape.
What she wasn't prepared for, what she didn't expect in a world that has never shown her any mercy; was for someone to see her as something more than evil.
She remembers his eyes the most. They were filled with a hope she had yet to ever experience and a kindness that seemed so foreign to her. They were vibrant, and oh so welcoming. She wanted to stare into them until the end of time, until she was able to discover why he was able to look so pure compared to herself.
She couldn't understand his motive. Why would someone like him want to save her? Compared to the lives she's taken, there is no sensible reason he'd want to her to live. He should hate her. He should be cursing every part of her being, despising her for the innocent lives she's taken.
       Yet. . .
"Don't you want to be free?"
She glances up from her intertwined hands, the heavy chains that bind them together clink gently against each other with her movements. She doesn't know how to regard the man before her, his face holds no look of fear or repulsion that she was so used to receiving; instead he looks at her with pity.
      'Why?'
"No." Her eyes avert from his, unable to continue gazing upon his honest expression. It seemingly mocked her when she spoke nothing but lies. "Freedom isn't what I want."
He doesn't speak for a moment, far too engrossed in his own thoughts to fully process the words that had left her chapped lips. Half of it was the truth. She truly didn't desire freedom, the thing she yearned for the most was out of her reach. It was a concept that she felt was far too unrealistic, he wouldn't ever gift it to her. No one in their right mind would ever think that she deserved anything more than to be locked up for the rest of her life.
       "What do you want then?"
Redemption. She wanted to say it, to finally utter the desperate wish in hopes that it would become reality. Yet, she is not naive. She's not like him who knows hope so well that he is able to carry it with him wherever he goes. She cannot see the good in her like he can.
She wonders if he's ever felt the heaviness of despondence.
"What I want is something you can't give me." Her voice was soft and defeated. He noted the somber look shining in her eyes and he wished he knew what he could do to ease her desolation. "But I don't blame you. . . I don't deserve it."
He stares at her for a few moments longer, his fingers intertwining with each other as they resettle atop his lap. He isn't sure what about her caught his attention. As a villain, she was one of the harder ones to track down, yet she was surprisingly compliant in her arrest. She never struggled or lashed out, it was almost as if she wanted to be caught.
It may have struck the other pro-heroes odd, but it wasn't in the least bit surprising to him. It was clear that she was looking for some kind of forgiveness, a way out of the hole she dug for herself the moment she took the life of an innocent. Maybe that's why he held an odd interest in her. The obvious regret she displayed for her past actions made her look redeemable in his eyes.
She could be saved. Unlike the many other villains he's helped wrangle into the depths of Tartarus, she was the only one who's ever shown clear remorse. He could be the one to save her; to show her the hope that's been ripped away from her numerous times.
"I don't believe that," His words causes her head to peer up at him, her features twisted into a look of utter confusion. "I think you at least deserve a second chance."
Her breath hitches in her throat and her heart squeezes so painfully in her chest that she felt as if she were going to die. Never once has she ever heard anyone tell her such a thing, let alone the number one hero. The thought of being believed in by someone so much more righteous than her melded a feeling of relief and anxiousness within her.
For years, she carried a feeling of desolation. Her birth from villainous parents exposed her to nothing but a life of askew morals and unending crime. She thought herself predestined to become evil and back then she had no qualms with such a way of life. It was only when she grew older, more mature and wise in the darkness she surrounded herself in that she realized her own wrongdoings.
"Do you really mean that?" She breathlessly whispers, somber eyes roving the expanse of his face as if his features would give away his insincerity. "Do you really think I'm worth redemption?"
She didn't want to hope. It hurt too much to feel that familiar light flicker deep within her chest only for it to be suddenly extinguished the moment it's pulled away. She didn't wish to undergo it again, not if this hope were false.
"Is that what you want?" He asks, lips pulled into a reassuring smile. Once again, she found herself drawn to his eyes and their indiscriminate shine of endless kindness. "Redemption?"
Her eyes flickered away from his and down to her chained hands. The clinks of metal against metal only being a stark reminder of her fate if she felt otherwise. Tears brimmed at her eyes and she couldn't find the strength in herself to wipe them away. She doubted the chains binding her hands would be long enough to allow her to do so anyway.
"It's what I desire the most. . ."
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The heavy weight that rested against her wrist and the base of her neck felt so much lighter in comparison to the shackles she once wore. Despite being vouched for by the current number one hero, there was still people who doubted her 'pure' intentions.
She couldn't blame them. She was a menace to society for so long that there was no reason for them to ever trust her. If it weren't for the countless requests and fighting on her hero's end, then she doubted she would have ever been able to see the light of day. She could still remember the day he showed up for their weekly meeting, the excited flush of his cheeks and matching smile that graced his features. The news of her release warmed her heart immensely and even she couldn't fight off the smile that broke across her lips.
       "Deku,"
She started with cheeks flushed in red. These new feelings of gratitude were unfamiliar to her, she's never once thought that she had anything to be grateful for. She only knew how to take, never receive. If she ever were given something there was always an ulterior motive, but she knew this man long enough to trust he truly wished for nothing in return.
The patience apparent on his face was enough to encourage to keep going. Over the year since she met him, he never once shamed her for her past, she did that too much to herself already, he only urged her to look forwards to the future. To a life that she wouldn't ever feel so utterly guilty for living.
       ". . .Thank you."
The smile on his face turned softer at her words and if she were to look closer, she could even describe it as being a bit apprehensive as well. "Midoriya Izuku. I think I know you well enough to give you my real name."
       "Then thank you, Midoriya."
She never forgot the effort he went through for her, even if her granted freedom placed the heaviest of conduct upon her. The quirk cancellation bracelets that were tightly bound to her wrists was apart of her atonement, as was the high voltage collar strapped to her neck. Her freedom was not at all given to her for 'free'.
There were regulations, curfews, thick books filled to the brim to list the things she can and cannot do. The apartment complex she was allowed to live in was heavily monitored and the visitors who were allowed over were limited to a few she could count on one hand. The transition was going to be hard for her. To go from a life of taking what she wanted when she wanted, to one that restricted her every movement wasn't going to be easy.
I can do this, She'd chant to herself on the days when the bracelets felt heavier and the collar felt particularly suffocating. I can show them I'm more than just a villain.
Sometimes that would be all that she'd need to hear in order to carry on. The daily hateful remarks and general fear she faced from those beyond the safe walls of her apartment could prove to be too much sometimes. She became somewhat accustomed to it, believing it to be nothing more than another obstacle she needed to face in order to find forgiveness.
It was the harder days that got to her the most. The days when the words of strangers felt more impactful and the white walls of her apartment felt more like a spruced up cell than a home. It was the days when her tears never stopped running and her thoughts refused to budge from her past atrocities that made her feel as if she didn't deserve what she had now.
Yet the moment the thought of giving up settled into her brain, her phone would light up and the name of the man who saved her would be announced in bolded text on its bright screen. It was almost funny how many times he unknowingly pulled her from the discouraging thoughts that ran through her head.
"How are you doing, [last name]-chan?"
With those words alone, no matter how much she urged herself to resist, she'd find herself spilling everything. Her frustrations, her mistakes, and the loneliness that accompanied her new lifestyle. Each grievance was spoken through tears and she doubted that he could even understand her half of the time. Still, he wholeheartedly listened to her and comforted her with a gentle tone that made her chest flutter and eased her anxiousness.
"You can't always allow your past to dictate your future. You are no longer the same person from back then, I promise you that."
It eased the tension she felt throughout her body to be told such a trivial thing. The past has always haunted her in fleeting memories or twisted dreams. She sometimes felt as if it were inescapable. The reminders alone were enough to break her down into tears, yet his words would hold her together. They served as a reminder of the lengths he went to save her. The man who she believed would've abandoned her the moment she was placed into custody, was the same man who spoke such soothing words.
His continued weekly visits quickly became the one thing she had to look forwards to and despite her hardships, she never allowed herself to feel down in his presence. For his sake and for her own, she continued being optimistic.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
"Don't you realize how far you've come?"
At first, the words didn't register in her mind and when she looked up from the cup of tea before her, she felt a sense of deja vu. He sat on the other end of the couch, his kind gaze was focused solely on her and the smile that gave her an unending sensation of warmth graced his features.
For only a passing moment, she was briefly reminded of the dark cell he'd meet her in on a weekly basis.
With a smile mirroring his own, she absentmindedly touched the base of her neck where the collar was once bound. It lingered for only a moment before falling back down to rest on her thigh. It's only been a little over a year since she began her new life under the watchful eye of both heroes and the government alike and only three months since they've taken the shock collar off of her. Their apprehension of her was still obvious from the bracelets that still clung to her wrists, but she hoped that soon they too would be gone.
"Of course," She nodded, fingers cradling against the porcelain cup as she placed it back down onto the coffee table. Her cheeks colored with fluster and she felt herself begin to feel slightly nervous under his gaze. "If. . . If it weren't for you, I don't think I could have gotten this far."
Her words emitted such sincerity that he found himself unable to deny them. Instead, he opted to swallow down the nerves before reaching out and placing a hand on her own. "It wasn't just all me. . . You did most of the work."
She stared down at their joined hands, the undeniably warmth that radiated from him felt as if it were flowing into her in tingling waves. She's never been this close to another person, neither has she ever touched them without the intent to harm them. Like many things she's experienced with him, this was new. It felt so simple in comparison to the familiar numbing sensation she felt on an almost daily basis. The momentary happiness she felt only in his presence alone made her feel so undeserving of it. She believed if she were to be selfish with it, she'd eventually ruin the one good thing in her life, but she couldn't bear to distance herself from him.
Just this once, she wanted to be selfish.
"Before I met you," She started as she turned over the hand he held in order to intertwine their fingers. She relished in the roughness of his hand, not at all repulsed by the old scars that littered them. She found them to be tender, even if they were anything but. "I never knew what kindness felt like. For the longest, I believed the moment I was caught my life would end or that I'd be kept inside a cell for the rest of my existence."
Her gaze shyly met his and at the sight of his own reddened cheeks, she felt her chest tightly clench. "You are the only one who's ever thought of me as something more than the criminal I am. No one has ever tried to give me a chance, not even myself. For all you've done for me, I don't think I can thank you enough."
Her fingers squeezed around his own in a silent attempt to get across all of what she wished to say. "With you, I realized there's a lot more to life than violence or death. . . there's a lot more I haven't felt before, but you. . ." She sharply inhaled, her gaze holding an unwavering conviction and steadiness. "You've shown me so many new things. So. . ."
"Would you hate me if I asked to you to stay by my side? Is it selfish of me to want to keep you to myself, if only for a little while longer?"
Her eyes clenched shut as the cold fear of rejection began to rack her body in waves. She felt as if her heart were harshly beating in her ears and her throat constricted with the weighted feeling of incoming tears. She's never been this afraid of hearing another person's response. It was dreadful. The feeling of suspense hanging above her head like some glorified guillotine was enough to crush her in disappointment and it only amplified the moment she felt him slip his hand from her own.
She couldn't help but wonder the worse possibilities that were to happen after her brazen declaration. Her words could have been interpreted in different ways, yet she hoped that his understanding would be on par with her true intentions.
'I love you,' She wished to say, though the words failed to leave her lips. 'Please don't leave me.'
The moment she can feel the tears beginning to slip down her face from clenched eyes, she feels the sudden pull of someone. It felt as if it were only in mere seconds that her body was encased in a gentle warmth that made her feel relatively lighter than the dread that encompassed her. Her cheeks are still flushed in an embarrassed hue and her brows are knitted tightly together as she softly sniffles.
When she warily cracks open her eyes, she is somewhat surprised to see that Midoriya has gone from holding her hand to embracing her as if she were to slip away at any given moment. The ache in her chest is relieved only slightly, leaving behind a lingering sensation of throbbing.
"I could never hate you," He says, his voice being soft and gentle next to her ear. "You're too important to me."
Despite all that he's done to ensure that her past would never catch up to her and the endless support he's offered in whispered words of assurance, he could still see the abiding guilt that clouded her mind from time to time. He knew it wouldn't be an easy task to ease the blame nor the stigma that associated itself with the title as heavy as 'ex-villain', but he was more than determined to show her and the rest of the world that there was more to her than her past.
'Please, forget the past.' He wished to urge her, the plead dying on his tongue before making itself known. He only hoped that his tight embrace would convey it. 'Please see yourself as the compassionate person I see you as now.'
"I love you."

How do you feel about Catra, Shadow Weaver, and Hordak? I know you said you find SW interesting but like on a scale how redeemable do you think these characters are. Ive seen a lot of infighting in the fandom cause some people love one and hate another and I just figured you would approach the topic nicely
Oh damn, happy to respond! (Under the cut because I don’t know how to shut up.)
I think I’ve seen some of the posts that you’re talking about, and my friend did tell me that there was apparently tension between Entrapdak and Catradora shippers for that very reason. Still, I should start off by saying that the only character who is probably completely irredeemable is Horde Prime. And knowing this show, they’ll find a way to humanize even him if they are so inclined. The great thing about She-Ra is that there aren’t so much heroes and villains as there are complicated people. Undertale is the same way. This might sound weird, but I legitimately hope Horde Prime does get humanized, because otherwise it’s just way too easy for all of the characters to band together and take him out for a happy ending. This show has never had a character that was pure evil before, know what I mean?
With that in mind...let’s talk about Hordak.
I know, I know...before Horde Prime was known to us...Hordak basically was Horde Prime. That’s the role he played in the show, and it’s not like he isn’t guilty of countless war crimes. He’s a conqueror, and yeah, conquerors should not get off scot-free. But...Hordak is also clearly an abuse victim. That doesn’t excuse him from what he’s done, but I can’t just ignore it. He was so eager to get back to Horde Prime, so determined to please him and prove himself to his “big brother.” and the moment that they’re reunited? We see what a nightmare it is for Hordak, see him get mentally violated and brain-washed. This can’t be the first time it’s happened, and yet all Hordak wanted was to return to Horde Prime. This man is so sheltered and so emotionally stunted in relationships, that I doubt he understands the full ramifications of his actions. He certainly doesn’t understand that he’s in abusive relationship. Hordak is just doing what he knows. He could learn better, if he learns to accept what a monster Horde Prime is. (But first he’ll need to break from the conditioning.)
I genuinely like how it took Entrapta, a character who isn’t really loyal to either side, to reach out to him and help him understand how it feels for a person to care about him, and not fear him even when he tries to be intimidating. And whether or not you ship them, (I do, I admit it) Hordak clearly has feelings for her and that guides his character in Season 4. I don’t know if Adora and the others will agree to take him in...but Entrapta will remember the bond they had. I just feel so bad for this guy, even if he has killed countless innocents. My philosophy about redeeming villains is very much a pragmatic one...will Hordak’s redemption spit in the face of all his victims? Perhaps. Will it bring them back to life? No. But neither will executing him or throwing him in prison. If he can heal, if he can learn better, and do better...why should we waste that growth? Why shouldn’t he be allowed the chance to make up for what he’s done? It seems to me like there is everything to be gained, and nothing to be lost, in letting him redeem himself.
Of course, there are many types of crimes...let’s move on to Shadow Weaver.
....She’s a child abuser. Plain and simple. That is a hard pill to swallow, that is a very difficult thing for me to look past. I don’t think I can do it. The way she treated Catra, the way it’s ruined Catra and Adora’s relationship...it’s unspeakable. She manipulates Catra one last time and leaves her high and dry so she can escape and go to Bright Moon...whereupon, she starts grooming Glimmer the same way she did Micah. I know it seems silly to be more upset about child abuse than what probably amounts to genocide on Hordak’s part...but part of it is how relatable the crimes are. There’s a reason most Harry Potter fans hate Umbridge more than Voldemort. Most people don’t know a mass-murderer, and excusing a character like Hordak won’t change their perspective on murder being wrong. But plenty of people might know an abuser, and abusers thrive on a culture that blames victims and downplays the effects of abuse, or otherwise excuses those responsible. We need to get better about sending the message that abuse is real, and wrong. But the great thing about She-Ra is that it depicts the cycle, from Shadow Weaver to Catra. If Catra is redeemable, why not Shadow Weaver?
And here’s the thing...I’m not saying she isn’t redeemable. Just that I don’t expect this show to fully redeem her, and I’m 100% behind that outcome. She could be allowed to live in peace with the other characters, her victims might forgive or at least tolerate her. (Especially if she wins over Micah again.) But even if I find her genuinely compelling...I’m not seeing too many outcomes where she would deserve this mercy. Shadow Weaver has done terrible, selfish things, and her only loyalties seem to lie with knowledge and power. She’s completely unrepentant, and while she acknowledges that she was “hard on Catra” she also refuses to apologize. Shadow Weaver strikes me very much as a kind of “no regrets” type of person. But she also has a fascination with power, and any time she sees a youngin’ with a lot of potential, (Micah, Adora) she seeks to train them. Considering how poor her record is...she needs to stop doing this. I might be inclined to forgive Shadow Weaver, if she acknowledges her own short-comings, apologizes to the people she’s hurt, and realizes that looking after children is not something she’s cut out to do.
Finally, there’s Catra.
In many ways, she’s my favorite character. (Though I also might go with Glimmer.) The story is largely centered around Catra’s journey alongside Adora’s...she might as well be a secondary protagonist. What’s more, she’s a character who we basically know is going to get redeemed, Noelle has all but told us that it’s going to happen. I’m fine with her getting redeemed but so help me god if she dies in the process....if any aspiring writers are reading this, please stop killing your villains to complete their redemption arcs. Let them enjoy being redeemed. Please. Anyway, where was I? Ah that’s right, Catra. There have been times that I was beyond frustrated with her because she was purposefully choosing to be “evil” as Double Trouble lampshades at the end of Season 4. By the time she opened up the Portal, after sentencing Entrapta to die, nearly dooming the entire world, causing Angela’s death, and despite it all she still blamed Adora even though she only did all of this because she wanted to beat Adora...yeah, I was really running out of patience for Catra. And even now, I can’t really bring myself to agree with the fans as they draw parallels between Catra opening the Portal and Glimmer activating the Heart of Etheria. I’m sure this was intentional, too. The echoing of two characters dooming everyone through an impulsive, reckless choice. However...as I said, Catra was pretty much going off the deep end when she opened the Portal. She just wanted to stick it to Adora. I realize I may be biased as a Glimmer stan, but Glimmer was at least trying to defeat the Horde. Her intentions, however misguided, were noble. She thought she was doing the right thing. Catra just didn’t care.
All this, and you might think I’m Anti-Catra, that I await her inevitable redemption with gritted teeth. But that’s not true at all. Catra is a character who is her own worst enemy, and characters like that have a knack for winning my sympathy. She continues to dig herself into a deeper hole and hurts those around her in the process. Part of her journey is realizing that and presumably working to change it. This is why I love how distant she becomes from Lonnie and the others in S4. Why I love Double Trouble betraying and completely shutting her down with their monologue about her. Why I cheered louder than you can imagine at “You’re a bad friend.” Because it was such an amazing crossroads in the development of both Scorpia and Catra’s characters. To be clear, I love these moments not because I dislike Catra, but because I genuinely like her as a character, and Catra as a “good guy” is a lot of fun. I don’t know how many people remember what it was like in the first episode when Catra and Adora were still besties, but it was just generally fun. I miss that dynamic. I want Catra to learn from her mistakes. Because I rambled on about the terrible things Shadow Weaver has done, and onscreen those were primarily done to Catra. She’s a character that I am rooting for one-hundred percent. A character who is almost a deconstruction of the tired writing trope “They had a hard childhood, and now that you know that, they are redeemed.” Catra turns that on it’s head. “Promise” is one of my favorite episodes for this very reason. Few moments have gotten me as choked up as Adora saying that she thought Catra didn’t care about being Force Captain, and Catra exploding with “Well I was lying, obviously!” It was a reveal that I genuinely didn’t see coming, but it makes so much sense, and demonstrates how much Catra has sacrificed for Adora and how much that weighs on her every time she makes a villainous decision.
TL;DR: I am one-hundred percent on board with Catra and Hordak redemption, and tentatively on board with Shadow Weaver redemption.

78.5% of the fandom reacted positively to “Assassin’s Bullet”, rating it a 4 or 5. While still high, this is down 20% from last month.
"Did you not understand the contents?" - Isayama, probably
I cried because of a work of fiction for the first time because of chapter 105. Isayama has achieved something not even Up or Infinity War could not. Great writing on Isayama's part & I am excited to see where he takes this story to next. Also, WERE GOING BACK TO PARADIS AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
Holy fucking shit. I read the chapter before work and I lost my mind. I couldn't process anything and then Sasha was shot. I flipped! An amazing and incredible chapter.
My reaction to chapter 105 is basically just lying face-down on the floor.
EDITOR-KUN; YOU FAILED THIS FANDOM!!!!!

ASIDE FROM SASHA’S DEATH, WHAT MOMENT WAS MOST EMOTIONAL FOR YOU?

Connie’s sweet OT3 embrace and admission that Jean and Sasha were special to him topped the list of emotional moments. “All of the above” and Eren’s mental breakdown at the news of Sasha’s death came in 2nd and 3rd.
At this point I numb myself and just ignore each chapter after I read it because it's getting too painful and I just wanna live my life you know
Attack on Suffering
Connie can not catch a fucking break.
Potato girl's death hit me hard, especially after that look on her face when Connie hugged Jean and herself. Poor Connie, the new master of suffering!
This chapter has had me so depressed. It's been days and I'm still not over Sasha, I still can't believe Potato Girl is gone forever. I'm worried for Eren, for what this loss of faith from the others will do to him, for the distance between him and Armin and Mikasa. Their strained dynamic is HEARTBREAKING.
WHICH MOMENT SURPRISED YOU MOST?

In a chapter filled with great moments, leaning the identity of Rope-kun was picked as most surprising with 30% of the vote. Confirmation that Zeke was working with Paradis came in a distant second.
I hate this.  I have resisted SO HARD, for SO LONG.  One hundred and five chapters later, I'm finally (FINALLY) invested in a Levi storyline.  How dare you, Isayama?  How dare you Jaime Lannister me this way?
I can't believe the paid actor bs was actually true lol. But I'm sure Zeke has his own objective and isn't actually on Paradis side even though they might benefit from his plans.
On chapter 105: arguably the best chapter so far in my opinion. It had so much going on. I was so excited to see the Zeke betrayal theory confirmed. Also even though Sasha is dead I feel really bad for Gabi. She's as much a victim in this as everyone.
ON A SCALE OF 1-5, HOW CHOKED UP WERE YOU OVER SASHA'S UNTIMELY DEATH?

We knew it was coming, we’ve been talking about it for years, still more than half the fandom was profoundly affected by Sasha’s death. At the other extreme, 22% expressed ambivalence.
SaShAaAaAaAaAaAaAaaaaaaaaaaa I will still be crying next month
I feel nothing about Sasha's death, mainly because she was saved by the editor before something I dislike happening. Another motive for my apathy related to her death is because of the massive nosense hate Gabi is receiving. People forget she's just kid, brainwashed and she doesn't know Paradis like we do or Reiner does.
Erwin was my favourite male character and Sasha was my favourite female character. Isayama Sensei, I don’t feel so good…
I can't really bring myself to care about Sasha's death. She's been dragged along for over 70 chapters now and it was time for her to die.
I have mixed feelings about Sasha's death. On the one hand I think had she died when she was supposed too, I would have felt more emotional about it. On the other hand, I'm glad there was another girl from the 104th still there during the RtS arc, and I liked her reactions there as well.
I'm still not over it and will probably be mourning Sash for the rest of my life.
I am still sad! I will be heartbroken if we see Sasha's family in the next chapter
WHOSE REACTION TO SASHA’S DEATH AFFECTED YOU MOST?

Isayama outdid himself with the various expressions of grief in this chapter. The fandom was divided three ways, but it was Connie’s quiet heartbreak that prevailed by a slim margin.
Now my two favourite SnK girls are dead. I knew that this could happen, but being killed because of Marcel or by Gabi... It was really twisted. Mikasa's cry broke me, because she was one of Sasha's best friends.
Eren's reaction to her death was very disturbing. At first I thought he was overcome with grief and crying, but upon further inspection he was laughing like a maniac.
we knew sasha was going to die for years now but that fuck! that really didn't have to happen!
Why did sasha have to die isayama :( She was a gorgeous woman with a great personality and just fjsfkskfkd FUCK OFF CONNIE DIDN’T DESERVE THIS KIND OF BIRTHDAY PRESENT
Isayama, why?
THE FANDOM IS DIVIDED ABOUT SEVERAL CHARACTERS. WHAT’S YOUR OPINION ON THEM?
Tumblr media
Falco is best boy and Floch is worst. Isayama scored only marginally better than Zeke. Levi received 60 more marriage proposals than Eren. Yelena got the highest number of kisses.
We did some digging into the poll numbers to see which platform was most compassionate when it comes to Gabi. Discord and Instagram were the kindest, with  61% and 64% of respondents selecting “marry/adopt” or “kiss”. Tumblr was next with 54%. Reddit was the harshest. 2/3rds of all reddit respondents selected “kill” for Gabi.
OMG throw Floch out of the zeppelin the fucking shitbrain smartass.
WTF happened to Floch I thought initially he would be a voice of reason but evidently not…
Falco you cinnamon roll, too precious for this world, so pure and smol.
Gabi should feel the might of Ogweno's knee for all eternity.
Gabi is a precious bean! Don't talk to me or my daughter ever again!
Gabi can do us all a favor and swerve into oncoming traffic
Eren did nothing wrong
eren is irredeemable and now the villain.
Wanna kill and marry Eren at the same time.
I'm flying to japan to fist fight isayama
Definitely wanna marry Levi. Wanna hug all 104th squad (even sasha) and also the warriors and kids, they deserve it.
Isayama's story is practically screaming against wanting to kill traumatized kids, no matter their actions. *side eyes fandom discourse on Gabi, wonders if humanity is doomed*
Kiss Isayama, maybe If you gave him some Love,  He would stop being so cruel.
IT’S NOW CLEAR THAT EREN ACTED WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF THE SURVEY CORPS. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE SURVEY CORPS IS BEING TOO HARSH ON HIM?
1,716 Responses
Tumblr media
Eren received quite the scolding when he arrived on the airship. Nearly half of the fandom agreed that he deserved the harsh treatment, while about 28% of the fandom thinks that the Survey Corps could have handled the situation a little better.
If only the blimp’s door would’ve been closed earlier. I’m hoping the SC does realize that they’re being too harsh on Eren in upcoming chapters.
Honestly I'm surprised they threw the blame. Not actually surprised surprised. But in the past it was always push forward and keep moving with no regrets. And it seems they have fallen back on that. I think even though Eren's actions aren't justified and I don't think he's an innocent bean, but he managed to take a lot from the enemy with his move, with a minimal loss.
Eren didn't do anything that the SC hasn't done to him many times. Using him as bait is always their go to plan.
Erwin didnt lose an arm for this.
I see a lot of people excusing Eren's actions because things mostly worked out in Paradis's favor. However, that doesn't mean that A) it was a good decision, B) the survey corps couldn't have come up with an even better plan that--among other things--may have lessened civilian and foreign diplomat deaths, had they been given the time and opportunity, or C) that Eren should be let off the hook for going AWOL and teaming up with the foreign operative responsible for their commander's death. I still like him as a character, but Eren did a fucked up thing that is sure to have international consequences, and he more than deserved that kick and the distrust of his allies.
WHAT BEST DESCRIBES YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT EREN’S ACTIONS?
1,677 Responses
Tumblr media
We still don’t know the full story behind Eren’s actions, but regardless of his intentions, many people were hurt in the process. 46% of the fandom believes that Eren’s actions will result in a positive outcome, while over half the fandom is either undecided until they have more information, or cannot look past what he did at all.
Team Eren! The losses are nothing compared to the gains. The world had declared war anyway, and they'd already de facto been at war for a decade. Wiping out an entire fleet, capturing the Warhammer, and successfully extracting Zeke was more than worth it. Very said about Sasha though, of course. Can't wait to go back home to Paradis again. Falco and Gabi are going to have their minds blown.
I believe that if Eren and the SC worked together with their plans and made compromises for one another then the result could've been even better, since Eren would have an entire military intelligence to help and not a man [Zeke] that can't truly be trusted.
He acted independently without the approval of the Paradise Government to terrorise a festival full of civilians.  His actions resemble a terrorist, arrested is being let off easily. Jean is right about the situation, Eren is the biggest reason Sasha is dead, he manipulated the Military Operation in which she died.
Eren told Reiner he now understands RBA's actions...but neverthless he's repeating them, even more cruelly perhaps. If he won't understand that the cycle of violence must be stopped in order to reach real freedom then I don't think he will ever get a happy end (beside the fact that he's going to die at 23 anyway)
I'm glad that we finally got confirmation that Eren was just his usual egoistic self that went on his own and everyone has to save his sorry ass. Again.  Bless Hanji for calling him out and roasting him once again. Can't wait to see another jail time for Eren. (Though I have the feeling he will get around it or that it will be skipped.) Too bad Eren just doesn't give a flying fuck about being punished or losing the trust of his comrades as long as he got his will.
Give eren a break please. He deserves it.
Erwin is turning in his grave.
Erwin would have called Eren a hero.
JEAN BLAMES EREN FOR SASHA’S DEATH. DO YOU?
1,685 Responses
Tumblr media
Jean didn’t hesitate to call Eren out for being the catalyst for Sasha’s death. 49% agree that Eren isn’t solely to blame and that many parties are responsible, while 11% agree with Jean completely.
Death happens in random ways, if it’s heroic or humble, no one should get blamed for it since it is gonna happen one day or another,
In the end we can all blame Ymir Fritz for this fucked up planet this story takes place on.
War means death and they are clearly in war. So many people already died and Sasha was one of the many victims of war. She was not murdered by Eren or his decisions in my opinion.
None is at fault or everyone is at fault. Early celebration, no spotter for the guy that had yet to board the zeppelin in enemy territory, Eren forcing their hand to act prematurely all being part of it. But none can be single-handedly blamed.
War is hell.  People die.  If Eren didn't invade, they'd get invaded, and someone would die.
I think he's very emotional at that moment and is blaming Eren but in reality there are a number of attributing factors.
bit of all of these, but mostly war is war. it's amazing beyond belief new-squad-levi all survived as long as they did, and thru everything that has happened thus far. I'd argue the casualties had Paradis not taken the initiative blow could have been that much more devastating
ZEKE FAKED HIS DEATH AND IS TRAVELING TO PARADIS. WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THIS?
1,683 Responses
Tumblr media
With one big Zekeret out of the way, we asked the fandom whether they feel he is to be trusted or not. Nearly half the fandom agrees that Zeke’s only real alliance is with Eren, sharing a goal to free Eldia. A small 10% believe his intentions are genuine. The remainder of the fandom is still wary about his intentions altogether.
Do NOT drop your guard.  I trust Zeke about as far as I can throw him, and since my 100-pounds-soaking-wet best friend can beat me in arm wrestling, it's safe to say that that's NOT very far.
He's too cold - I don't trust him in the slightest. He probably still wants to end this tragic history - but in a final-for-all-humanity kind of way. He must be stopped!
I don't think he's being 100% genuine. I think he has his personal goals and his own versions of a free Eldia. There will be so Sure, he's supporting Eren but, I still think that he has his personal agenda, so I don't know if he just wants to free Eldia just because.
Zeke is concerned with Zeke. I think he was once tasked with the Owl's legacy as well, but now wants to double-cross everyone.
Zeke wants to try sour cream really badly
I believe that Zeke is working more or less for his own goals which is a free Eldian continent. Any alignment with the SC is because heads like Hanji support that ideal. Zeke also has personal interest in his brother and I doubt that he would stay on the SC or even Eren's side all that long if they conflicted with that goal.
DO ZEKE AND EREN HAVE THE SAME GOAL NOW THAT THEY CAN ACTIVATE THE COORDINATE?
1,686 Responses
Tumblr media
For now it seems that Zeke and Eren likely allied due to a shared interest to free their people. But 55% of the fandom believe it’s too early to make that judgement call.
I'm unsure the Yeager brothers have quite the same desired outcome in mind. I wonder if they have different ideas of what "saving Eldia" actually means; On Zeke's part it could be saving all of them period. On Eren's, it may just be Paradisians. And if a disconnect like that exists, I can only imagine what their vision is of how to accomplish it. I think Eren's heart is still trying to stay in the right place but his mind can't be trusted to make sound, beneficial decisions.
I believe Zeke has his own agenda and it worries me. There is also the chance of Eren coming in terms with sacrificing Historia when "royal" Zeke starts doing his own thing.
Zeke is working with eren for as long as it conveniences him, but as soon as it doesn’t go his way he won’t hesistate to turn on him
Not at all. Zeke is the least trustworthy character of the series, I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually manipulating Eren. I wouldn't trust Zeke as far as I could throw him.
I'm a bit worried about Zeke's influence on Eren and his true agenda...as much as I want to believe Zeke is a great big brother, I'm still a bit suspicious.
ARMIN AND EREN'S REUNION PARALLELS THEIR REUNION IN THE UPRISING ARC, ALTHOUGH THIS TIME NO SMILES WERE SHARED. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM THEIR RELATIONSHIP MOVING FORWARD?
1,685 Responses
Tumblr media
Now that we’re starting to see the effects of EMA separation, it’s clear that Eren and Armin’s relationship is strained. Almost half of the fandom believe that they will work through it and remain friends, while many are apprehensive and think that things can go either way. Only a small amount believe that their friendship is still solid, and just a slightly larger amount believe their friendship is dead.
I expect them to become more distant while still caring about each other. Isayama stated that they would chose different paths anyway.
Eren has become shady, untrustworthy and even more reckless in a colder sense. Armin is less warm hearted, still quite emotional, and it probably hurts to see his best friend, Eren, become what he has. Mikasa has clearly grown. She doesn't care for Eren as much as she did before, and while she definitely still does care, she's less impulsive and shortsighted to what Eren has become. They've all grown. They've all grown as individuals. They've all grown apart. They say you become what you hate the most, which is only relevant in certain circumstances, but it's never been more represented than by Eren.
LEVI COMPARED EREN TO THE PEOPLE HE USED TO SEE WHEN HE LIVED IN THE UNDERGROUND. WHAT DO YOU THINK HE MEANT?
1,686 Responses
Tumblr media
Levi expressed a sad and disappointed look at Eren as he likened him to the people from the underground city. 53% of the fandom believe that this is due to the lack of passion in Eren’s expression, while a good 33% believe it has more to do with Eren’s underhanded behavior by defecting from the Survey Corps.
Eren reminded him of his younger self.
I think Eren may have reminded Levi of his childhood, (while Eren was sitting there). Eren has become filthy, shady, untrustworthy, rogue and looked lifeless- much like the people of the Underground.
Is Eren's comment "did you not understand the letter" a reference to Levi's lack of education during his upbringing?
when Levi first met Eren, he decided to look after him because he saw something in Eren, a fire, a desire for life. now that fire is nowhere to be seen, Eren is just doing what he has to do to survive, like the people in the underground. Levi used to be one of those people and it’s not a coincidence that Eren’s expression parallels that of young Levi. So we could say that Levi didn’t expect Eren, of all people, to become like that.
Eren is evolved from edgy teenager to protagonist od scandinavian crime stories. He only need alkoholism to fullfile the picture
I believe it was a response to Eren's impertinence in asking whether Levi did not understand the contents of the letter, Eren said it in a challenging way, or could be a commentary on Eren's miserable state, but I believe it to be the first, this was my first impression while reading the chapter
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GABI WILL BE SWAYED ON HER VIEWS OF PARADIS?
1,654 Responses
Tumblr media
Close to 70% think Gabi will soon learn the difference in offering someone less than half a potato. In Marley it makes you the worst of all the devils, but on Paradis, that makes you best girl.
I might be in the minority but I really like Gabi, I find her really interesting and she has the potential to act as a foil to Eren. She has the opportunity to see the other side of the conflict and change her ways and possibly help put a stop to the fighting.
I'm excited to start seeing what paradis has been up to and what falco and gabi will think of the walldians
She's been indoctrinated, mistreated, and trained to kill her whole life, which is an absolutely sickening thing to see happen to a child. I do hope that by going to Paradis she may finally start seeing things the way Falco does.
She has been raised in pro-marley family, she strongly believed that people from Paradis were evil, she saw death of her best friends and believed that her goal was lost because of attack. I believe that Gabi will change her mind about the whole situation soon.
Yeah, yeah, we all get that she has her own perspective, but she is crazy. She acts out of impulse and has a one track mind
I would like to see Floch shouting with Gabi. Or pushing her off the zeppelin.
gabi saved the manga, let her kill more
GABI CALLED FALCO INTERESTING THINGS DEPENDING ON WHICH TRANSLATION YOU READ. WHICH WOULD YOU WANT ON YOUR TOMBSTONE?
1,685 Responses

Over forty percent thought the Scottish ”You’ve been a great cunt” would summarize their life. An almost equal amount preferred being called either a great bastard or a great friend. Only 17.5% want people to think of them as a great guy once they’re gone.
Surprisingly enough nobody mentioned Falco being a great cunt in the comments. Gabi on the other hand...
HANGE HAS LOST ALL TRUST IN EREN. HAVE YOU?
1,693 Responses
Tumblr media
While more than 72% still have confidence in Eren, more than a quarter of the fandom now views him as untrustworthy.
Whatever Eren does, I feel like he's justified because he only has what, a fucking year left and he's just trying to fix what he can. He knows that he is going to die and doesn't give a shit because he cares about the greater good, even if that means losing all his trust from.. well everyone.
"Hange has lost all trust in Eren. Have you?" I have. If 'Humanity's Greatest Hope' suddenly ran off and had some of our people killed for his own plan, then manipulated us so that we had to go along with said plan, (without trying to 'make a compromise'/'have a mature discussion about it'), I would lose all trust as well.
Everyone's deaths are on Eren's shoulders here.  He went off like a loose cannon and acted on his own, putting everyone at risk.  The Survey Corps losses are his responsibility and his alone.
Excited for the next coz we're most likely see Paradis after 4 years timeskip. I'm still bitch about Hange saying losing their trust in Eren. RIP Sasha Blaus
Eren betrayed their trust, but in return he got what he needed with very minimal casualties. And it's not like he didn't care.
TRAPDOOR-KUN WAS REVEALED TO BE ZEKE’S FOLLOWER YELENA. WE’RE ASKING THE REAL QUESTIONS HERE. IS SHE HOT OR NOT?
1,676 Responses
Tumblr media
The “nays” prevailed by a razor thin margin. When we segmented this data by single platform we found Tumblr to be far more appreciative of Yelena’s appearance. 60% of Tumblr users selected “bae”. The opposite was true of Reddit where 62% selected “nay”.
bless this chapter for giving us lesbian Pieck and another ship with a great height difference and blonde/brunette visuals (eruri, yumukuri, kenuri, reibert... I see what you do there, Isayama).
I'd let Yelena lead me to a trap door.
Yelena X Levi
Yelena x Pieck

72% hope the boi gets his shoes back in chapter 106. We have nothing more to say about this, but it’s a good place to drop some of the cracky comments we received.
Did they bring sour cream to the party on the airship?
its laurel not yanny
"THATS IT! NO LOBOV! IM MAKING MY OWN POLL!"
2/10 not enough snails
I've seen official art of Levi being a chef before, I'm wondering what kind of meal he's planning to turn Zeke into. A Beast-Titan Burger? A Zeke Zucchini? Or perhaps an Ackerman sandwich?!
WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF LEVI ALLYING WITH ZEKE?
1,668 Responses
Tumblr media
While 17% of the fandom enjoyed Zeke and Levi’s exchange and appreciate their dynamic, 74% agree that Levi is getting no pleasure from this alliance and is cooperating strictly because humanity demands it.
it was really interesting seeing them interact, the tension was palpable and the conversation hilarious (though I know it was pretty serious).
Almost shipping Zevi but I want to keep my pov rational and logical so yeah, they hate each other but they'll work together for the mankind's benefits
As the supreme lord of ironic Zevi shipping, I am torn between that and the canon facts that Levi wants to gut him.
Clearly he is there for Levi's fine ass
I have no real opinion but I’m slightly disheartened by the first option for this answer. This might be one of the more disturbing ships.
He will keep his promise and kill Zeke in the end. Whenever that will be.
I love the hate-flirting but for real, Levi loved Erwin and has to get revenge for him
SNK is going to become the first mainstream goru-omorashi-amputee  yaoi series
They hate each other but have to work with each other given the circumstances but really I'm super into enemies-to-lovers ships
Ohohoho, ahahahaha, ahahhahahahahahahahhahaha. All 3, really.
You guys are disgusting, I hope Zeke dies soon horribly
wtf dude?
DO YOU THINK YELENA IS AN ACKERMAN?
1,679 Responses
Tumblr media
Almost 90% of the fandom believe Levi and Mikasa will remain the sole Ackermans of the story. 10% believe Zeke might have found an Ackerman ally of his own.
Hope Yelena is an Ackerman. That way we will have a person whose strength is comparable to Levi or Mikasa, but she is from the enemy party (is it really an enemy party or not. idk even.) It will be very interesting to see if Ackermans work for different sides.
Yelena will 100% be this series Brienne of Tarth, but unfortunately I don't think Zeke will get a redemption arc like Jamie Lannister did.
Chapter 104 Questions
THERE'S BEEN SOME COMPARISONS BETWEEN BERT AND ARMIN'S COLOSSAL TITAN FORMS. WHICH IS TRUE FOR YOU? CHECK ALL THAT APPLY.
Tumblr media
The majority feels both Bertolt’s and Armin’s Collosal Titan are a good reflection of their respective owners. 37.8% think both titans are impressive as well. Bert’s (33%) iconic Colossal Titan is prefered over Armin’s (20.7%). When asked which CT is more powerful, four times as many people seem to think Bert’s was. And 21.5% can’t be bothered with this question at all.
DID JEAN HESITATE TO KILL FALCO?

Nearly 6 of 10 respondents think Jean hesitated to kill the cinnamon roll. 22.1% think he was ready to shoot a hole in the vanilla bean donut, while about 1 out of 5 people aren’t sure.
jean hesitated to kill falco but he still aimed perfectly at him and pulled the trigger if it wasn’t for pieck shifting the spear direction with her steam falco would have been killed. blown to pieces.
keep the kids away from him will you?
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE ARMORED TITAN'S NEW FORM?
1,709 Responses
Tumblr media
Just when we thought Reiner couldn’t become any more beautiful, Isayama gives us the doki doki version of the armored titan. Unfortunately only 25.9% agree with us. A similar number of people just want Reiner to die. Maybe it’s because you wish to be his mercy angel, maybe because the unarmored titan now haunts your dreams and you’d like to be able to sleep again. That’s what 26.9% of you at least seem to hope for. Over a fifth of all respondents just wants Beardner back.
Reiner looks good with the beard but isayama doesn’t know how to draw facial hair properly most of the time so i hope it’s gone for good
Just let Reiner die man, he’s gone through so much just let him R E S T
It feels like Reiner half-assed his transformation and what we saw was the result.
RIP plot armor
WHO GOT THE WAR HAMMER TITAN'S POWER?
1,670 Responses
Tumblr media
It seems obvious that Eren got the Warhammer titan, but 12.3% of you are still holding out hope that Porco drank the Tybur flavored protein smoothie.
WH’s death was unexpectedly brutal.
I don't see why it's believed that Eren didn't get the warhammer power. You could see the flash that we have seen before, along with the expression in which is the same of when he receives memories.
Why is there still discussion over who got the WHT? We got a very clear shot of Eren getting some sort of "flash" while inside his Titan. I'll watch the live-action movie if I'm wrong.
IS PIECK GOING TO SURVIVE?
1,662 Responses
Tumblr media
The verdict is clear: 87.5% think Pieck will live. Let’s hope she’ll be able to meet Yelena again before shifteraids strikes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
I know we've seen Ymir survive much worse, but I think Pieck might die. Her pantzersquad is toast, Zeke is gone, I can't imagine Pieck as she is will be useful without either to support her. I think she's on death's door and they're going to try to pass her power onto Colt.
I do hope that Pieck's not gonna die yet.  Isayama already killed a major character. And he once stated in an interview that he would kill jist one for now.
she's probably safe for now, but I don't see what else she'd be needed for story-wise now that she's revealed Zeke was a traitor
I'm mad Pieck is still alive.

“You get a clinical depression! And you get a clinical depression! EVERYBODY GETS A CLINICAL DEPRESSION!” More than half of you think Reiner will be the most depressed, while almost a ¼ of all respondents think Connie will be. Porco has about 13% of all votes. Most of you think Pieck will be okay (or more okay than anyone else on the list).
ALL OF THE ABOVE
gheez stop providing me more depressing options
Omg, you are cruel people, I can't choose one
The fans. We cannot watch, yet we cannot look away.
the state of all the Survey Corps members (except for Floch, fuck him) is, in my opinion, the worst. Reiner's is obviously horrible, too; but for some reason, the fact that he's so okay with giving up almost makes me less worried about him. Death, for me, has always been sadder when the person who passed had adamantly wanted to stay alive.
when Reiner wakes up and wants to die because of everything that happened, let me die with him
A couple years ago one Connie was half of Reiner in terms of height, and now he has half of Braun's agony, great character development for my boy
I think Sasha dying was something that needed to happen but can Connie catch a fucking break, Isayama, holy shit

Finally, the meat of the story
We got dem zekerets
I'm really worried about this new Eldian empire, that is not going to go well. So many questions to ask about what was happening on the Paradis side during the timeskip, I think it is time for some flashbacks in the next couple of chapters.
Fuck this whole depressing reality.
I just really want Zeke to die at this point. I don't care how he's working with Eren or the SC. It's his fault Erwin died, he ruins everything, he fucked over Reiner and Bert, and he's obviously going to fuck over the SC too.
I feel like everyone will (soon) have to come to terms with the fact that the Yeagerbros' plan was the right/only choice, as shown by them going silent after Eren and Zeke point out the benefit of this operation.
I refuse sasha's death
CHARACTERS ARE DYING AGAIN!!! I AM HAPPY WHILE SOBBING!!!!!!
I feel that everyone jumps to conclusions EVERY chapter, because you’d think we’d know by now that not everything is what it seems and Isayama enjoys messing with us.
I think this chapter was not criticized enough. It was basically a vomit of revelations strung together with some cliche plot
I wonder how Historia will react to Gabi and Falco upon learning of Sasha's death. I'm also curious to see how she will react seeing Eren again and meeting her relative from overseas. You know where these thoughts are going: I want to see older Historia next chapter!
Levi beating the shit out of eren is Big Mood
I'm really not upset with Jean; it's unfair of him to say that, but he's always used anger as a way of dealing with things; the fact that Eren has fucked up already makes it easy to redirect his anger.
Dina is alive and Zeke is visiting her for mother's day
It's good to see that the SC members still have their minds right (except Flocke, but he's a fucking meme), and I hope to see how Hanji acts. I've seen her too impotent in this chapter, unlike how she was in Kenny's arc.
Petition to let Levi enjoy his 40s onwards in goddamn peace.
I believe the end almost always justifies the means, but the thing is... it's important to plan, to avoid any unnecessary evils. Impulsive and reckless natures always annoy me because they often don't avoid those unnecessary evils, if anything they cause more.
Why do Hange and Levi suck at aging?
105 killed me and then killed me again. but then zevi being officially canon and jaegerbros interaction revived me and sudddenly everything is ok. anyways, kidding aside, it was really interesting to see the changes in the sc members' relationship and dynamics with eren, especially armin and levi 👀
105 is absolutely my least favorite chapter this arc. so rushed and boring.
for the god of love please let Levi die. Being forced to work with the man he swore to kill is just humiliating.
I can't wait for Levi to kill Zeke.  Part of me worries Isayama is gonna rob him of that chance because fuck happy endings but maaaaaaaan I hope it's epic.
The grand ironic tragedy. An Eldian believing anti-Eldian propaganda kills another Eldian to avenge Eldian friends.
Where the hell is annie
It was great, hoping for an information dump next chapter, along with Annie returning soon and Reiner suffering even more (is that even possible?) after he's now pretty much lost everything he cared about.
Zeke's "free Eldia" line is shady af
Zevi is real, but not really. Protect Gabi at all costs. Flock is my boy. Zeke is trash but also god.
I hated it, and I hate this arc, and I hate all the side characters, and I don't care about any of it, and I can't freaking believe Isayama made Eren turn his back on all the morals Eren is BUILT on. I feel betrayed. So angry.
Boring chapter the only thing i enjoyed was gabi being an absolute badass. zeke and levi’s conversation was cringy af.
I just need the Warriors and Warrior Cadets to be okay and ALIVE throughout the series to the very end. I can't wait to learn more about Yelena and if Porco actually got the War Hammer, while it's unlikely, I've been wrong before.
The story feels completely different than it did when I first got into it. I’m wondering how Isayama plans to wrap things up after everything we’ve seen.
I just have so many feels for this chapter. After all the action in the previous ones, this one landed a punch straight in my gut. Thanks, Yams, I hate this.
I'm glad the battle is over. This turn of events offers new perspectives around. Between Falco and Gabi going to Paradis, Zeke probably having his own goal, Marley rebuilding after purging the unnecessary elements, there's plenty of material for a final arc.
Can we get the next one please? I can't take all these damn cliffhangers. I WANNA FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
this was an excellent chapter. The tension felt from the scenes in it was so strong you could slice it. Connie's reaction is quite heartbreaking and frankly, I felt quite uncomfortable just seeing the looks Armin gave Eren and Mikasa. They've all changed quite a bit. Even when Jean blames Eren for Sasha's fate, I felt like it was more out of grief than ire.
Can't wait for Reiner to come back
I had genuinely hoped that over time, more people would sympathize with Gabi, especially since shes a kid and has worked her ass off to make a better life for her and her family. Turns out, people only seem to hate her more now. I'm not thrilled that she killed Sasha but in her perspective she's an enemy and part of the reason her friends and allies were killed. War has two sides, people! That's kinda the whole point of the marley arc…
The new chapters are my sole reason for living now
I've been seeing a lot of hatred for Gabi this month, but I honestly can't get mad at her. It's understandable for people to be angry (especially big Sasha fans), but I really feel bad for all the shit she's gone through and how completely brainwashed she is.
each chapter makes me love and appreciate the warriors even more
I`ve seen people saying this chapter is the worst because of how easily Levi and Zeke "became friends”  and are provoking each other. To me, it's clear that Eren forced the survey corps to capture Zeke to fulfill his unknown agenda, and that Levi hasn't forgiven Zeke for what he did to Erwin + 200 other Survey Corps members. I also hope that Zeke is just continuing Eren Krueger's secret plan (giving the Attack Titan to Grisha so he can get the Founding Titan while Zeke stays on Marley as a double agent). That would be the most badass plan in all history.
DO U EVEN READ THESE
We read each and every comment!
