Cutual Fridge: The Final Update

So, here we are. 150 cute mutuals hanging out on my fridge. Some new, some old. A rainbow mosaic of gay pride, memes, and debauchery.

To think it all started with this singular dork in the heat of a shitposting fight:

Then, there were two cuties.

And from there, the little trend caught on.

After this update here, I started to realize just how much I loved having my mutual's pfps on my fridge. All day I couldn't stop smiling at how silly and genuinely cute the whole thing was. Some of my favorite blogs were watching me make shitty sandwiches and drink too much coffee!

And it just kept growing.

And the requests got funnier, and stranger, and more endearing.

And here we are now, in its complete artistic glory.

Sometimes, it's hard to bridge the disconnect between online life and real life. Seeing how many mutuals and new friends were willing to make that little leap and be part of my everyday routine means a lot to me, even if its something as simple as becoming a sticker on my fridge. This fun little experiment pulled me out of a bad rut I've been in for a few weeks. So, thank you, everyone. Thank you for making this hellsite such a lovely place for me.

I hope this doesn't sound weird but what is your opinion on an episode from MLPFiM from season one which pretty infamous for the pro-colonialism and racist message (i don't clearly remember which one but I think it is the one with buffalos and they are stand-in for Native Americans)

Should be obvious I hate it, it’s the reason why I made my redesigns, but I was going to actually make a meme about white girls with glasses on tiktok trying their hardest not to bring up how the mane 6 are racist right wing colonialist every minute of everyday. If I had a nickel for every time a non native mlp fan unsympathetically brings up genocide for likes. Legit makes me nauseous, “um did you know you’re favs are actually Um 🤓👆” they’re gonna bring up native genocide aren’t they? “support Buffalo genocide” omg they brought it up. Legitimately if you aren’t actually interested in learning about the harm of these depictions made by real people, not the silly little ponies acting like they’re real people. Honestly stay out of our business. Because no you didn’t grow up with the trauma with being conflicted about drawing yourself as a buffalo because they’re native and not a pony because the ponies were obviously white people. You just figured this out? Like I’ve been struggling with racism in the pony fandom for years.

Yan!Neuvillette who really, really doesn't like the look on your face when he takes you to his home, as much as he likes having power over you, it makes him feel sick. you're crying, begging him to understand that you haven't done anything wrong, that you were framed.

Yan!Neuvillette who won't hurt you unless you try to run away, and even then it's only a few smacks on the back with a wooden paddle. he hates your tears.

Hello! I have this idea/request for sagau loosely based off of me and my friend’s dynamic where there are two separate creators. Like, not two reader clones or smth just two separate people, either of them can be reader, or both??? Idk, just do whatever you want with this idea :)

They both play genshin, and both of their accs r self aware. One of them is a whale who has all the characters and plays everyday. However, they dont know much about building characters because their fav part of the game is the lore and knows a lot abt it and always talks while playing. The other is a f2p that plays for several weeks straight before taking along break, and only has their fav characters (COUGH wanderer COUGH) and they are the type to never speak AT ALL while gaming. They also have more of a meta player mindset while building their fav characters and doesnt care for much for the lore.

I just like to imagine how the genshin cast would react to them in coop, especially for the first time. Just seeing one of them rant to the other about the lore or seeing one of them one shot all the enemies. And imagine two if the same characters from the different accs meeting each other.

"What are these talent levels?? Why'd you crown Albedo's normal attack? It's the most useless in his kit- you know you should've leveled his Skill, right?" You said, while you looked at your friends Albedo- it honestly hurt to look at.

"Uh.. Yeah, I totally knew that.. I just was.. testing it.. out..?" Your friend mumbled into their mic, obviously lying.

Meanwhile, in one of your worlds, two Albedos were silently watching the other.

'Why is there another me? I could've swore I killed Dorian.. but he also has a star mark. It looks exactly like mine.' They both thought to themselves.

Eventually, one of them spoke out.

"Who are you?" Albedo said, staring at the other blankly, the smallest bit of confusion and fascination only seen if you truly tried to look for it hard within his eyes.

"I am Albedo."

"I am also Albedo. Are you sure you're really 'Albedo'?"

"Are you sure you're Albedo?"

This went on for a while.. neither of them were like this usually, but the other just wouldn't give up. Both were persistent when curiosity had peaked, and this just got very interesting.

"...well, that was one hell of a boss fight.." You mumbled under your breath.. you had barely managed to make it out of Scaramouche's boss fight alive-- half of your characters were dead, and the others were barely hanging on by a thread-- you truly need to thank the ancient Genshin cooks for Sweet Madames and Chicken Mushroom Skewers..

"It sucks that Scara really thinks that about himself. I mean, sure, he was abandoned by Raiden, but not because he was weak or anything. It's really because she just didn't want to control every aspect of his life, but there are of course, better ways she could've done that. You do have to understand that both made mistakes that lead them to where they are now, and..." You went off on a ramble, and unbeknownst to you, a certain purple-haired boy was listening to everything that spilled from your lips.

Everything he's ever known and believed in-- it was all just.. just a misunderstanding? He felt hopeless all of a sudden, he felt like falling.. and he did.

That's when you looked back at the screen, suddenly knocked out of your rambling state and (semi)yelled out, "Oh shit, ain't nobody gonna catch him?!" ...and nobody did. You silently flinched at the sound of the impact-- even through a screen, you could tell that hurt horribly.

"Oh no, poor darling.." You mumbled sympathetically as you read each and every word stated and said during the 'quest,' just like you did with each and every other one. You knew all of this yet you still felt so sad for the poor puppet Scaramouche. He really didn't deserve any of that, you thought to yourself as you wished you could've done something, or that you could do something.. if only it weren't through a screen.

Scaramouche hated being pitied, but maybe.. maybe if it was you, he didn't mind, and maybe he felt a small sense of pride because it meant in some way, and at some point, you cared for him.. and that filled him with more joy than either of you realized, and much more joy than you ever will even think.

Imma be honest…right now quackity seems like a busy man, meaning he doesn’t have so much time to spend with u so every moment u meet up with him, he makes sure he cherishes it.

uhhhh here's a little blurb! yall can thank @ryanpulock for this. it was just too much and needed to be shared soooorry it's so long.

warnings: haven't really proofread this I freaked out the whole time. fluffy fluffy fluffy a tiny bit of angst.

you met when you’re both teenagers when he began playing for the lumberjacks

he obv had a crush on you but he couldn’t really speak english

you were always around the rink and at practice and stuff bc of a family member of yours so he saw you a lot

saw you do homework and stuff at the rink and he would try and talk to you or see if you could help him with english

you helped him A LOT bc you’d be one of the last ones there and so was he so you’d hang out a lot

but you were only teenagers and you had your own lil life at your high school and stuff

eventually he went to the OHL and it was heartbreaking for the both of you tbh

he had never been more excited to move up but the second thought he had was that he wasn’t going to see you everyday anymore

same with you but you both played it off

the last night before he leaves you hang out until late and he promises you he won’t forget or stop talking to you

“even when you make it to the nhl and become a big shot?”

“never, y/n”

the constant constant texting

he’s too shy to ask you to facetime so he doesn’t

until draft day

dude one of the best days of his life

you were afraid that now he would forget about you but as soon as he gets to raleigh you become even closer

he never fails to send you good morning texts and snapchats

he never sends good nights tho and thats because he never wants to stop talking to you

he’d rather tell you “i fell asleep lol” instead of saying goodbye

facetime becomes the norm on his second season w the canes

it ebbs and flows when you get a boyfriend

and tbh he says hes happy for you but hes not

and he doesn't understand why because he hasn’t seen you since you were 17 and you both had a silly teenage crush

also he has every single girl available and sometimes he’d tell you about it to see if you get jealous but you don’t seem to (even though you do)

he knows he has to find another way to distract himself now that you have a boyfriend you can’t facetime him as much

gets a girlfriend

but things turn sour faster than he expected

if you’re having any relationship problems you always tell him and so he does too

it doesn’t get very far tho because the only advice you both have for each other is

“break up with him”

“break up with her”

and you’re both too stupid to see what’s really going on but the distance doesn’t help

you finally decide to see each other during the summer and you meet each other’s significant others and

oh boy

she HATES your guts and she’s so condescending

andrei is surrounded by toxic relationships and unfortunately toxic masculinity so he sees right through your boyfriend

he tells you after

“I don’t trust him, y/n”

you don’t know but its the beginning of the end for both of your relationships

after that, you both spend a week of his summer together before he goes to train in russian and its

so fun

except for the fact that your horrible partners are both always there so you both feel like you can’t relax bc they’d get insecure

at the end of the summer he breaks up with her bc he seriously cannot shake off how she treated you and also bc she was just not it

and surprise surprise your boyfriend cheats on you during the fall

you call him in hysterics crying sobbing

youve been friends for a long time and know each other very well but he’s actually never seen you cry

he just sits and listens to you talk and vent makes sure you feel really validated

you stay on facetime for a long long time that night even if he has a game tomorrow

and the day after he calls you while he’s driving to the arena

you’re in bed with your blinds shut even though its 3 pm

“I going to score for you tonight, you’ll see. Trust me.”

and score he does

he tries to find the camera as soon as he scores and everyone including his teammates are like ???

but he winks at it and points at it

you know its for you

calls you AS SOON AS THE GAME IS OVER

“you see? I told you! I told you I’d do it for you!”

and thats when you realize you really like this man

you call and text even more somehow

facetime all the time

the season has its highs and lows and

on most roadies he can’t wait to just get to his hotel room to talk to you

he tells you whenever he’s taking off or landing

you’ll send him snaps of you watching the game whether alone or with your friends

you literally never miss one

you share locations at some point and he will never say it but he checks on you all the time

breaks his heart a little when he sees you’re over at someone’s house

same with you wherever he’s at a club or something but oh well

you’re just friends and have to live your lives

but still no one takes up as much time as you do

even if its for 5-10 minutes he’d facetime you

your roommate thinks its fucking annoying that you stay up so late just talking

and what a cute texter he is

“good luck on your test!”

“i saw this and i thought of you”

he ships one of his jerseys to your dorm

anytime there’s a limited edition piece of merch he’ll always send you one

on your birthday he sends you matching beaded bRACELETS

and you see he always always wears it

theres a point where the season gets freaking hard and andrei is so frustrated

you answer the phone but it looks like it’s just been placed on the nightstand

“Drei?”

“hi, y/n”

and his voice is all choked up and sniffly

“I want to talk to you but I’m just. I’m so tired and I can’t take it today. I’m sorry” and there’s a little sob in there

you reassure him and eventually he opens up

even though he can’t show his face because he’s embarrassed and he doesn’t want you to see him like this

“to be honest, it’s so lonely. I feel alone in the room at the end of the day and I feel guilty because this is my dream.”

you talk him through what he’s feeling and how to feel better

he grabs the phone and you see his face all red and puffy. you can tell he was crying really hard before he called you

“I’m sorry I look so bad” he says as he rubs his eyes and his face HELLA HARD bc he’s a boy

“You look great, svech”

And his heart melts oh it melts so hard

You don’t tell him but you saved up enough to fly out and one day you just show up at practice

Thankfully he was too busy to check your location lol

He’s ELATED

literally drops his stick and gloves and just skates towards you so fast

“Oh so this is who you’re texting all the time”

You spend the weekend together

He cancels your hotel stay so you can stay with him

He loves to have you around and debates kissing you when you go out with the team

But he’s too nervy so he doesn’t

When he drops you off at the airport he tears up a bit and hugs you for a long long time

“I going to miss you, that’s all”

“I love you”

Calls you after you’re past security lol

He tells you he wants you to come out every weekend

And you both laugh but he’s low key serious

Ever since you went to visit him last you both say I love you ALL the time

Whenever they play in your city he comes and visit you

He accidentally stays in your dorm once you guys cuddle and fall asleep talking

No matter the distance you become closer and closer

See each other for the holidays :)

Still no one is making any moves even though you are VERY touchy

And tbh neither of you seeing anyone else bc you’re both so busy w your jobs/college

It’s so easy to talk to each other bc it’s all online

No one uses snap anymore so he’d just send you selfies 😭😭

Sometimes when he’s reviewing video he’d FaceTime you to just have you there

Same whenever you’re just doing homework

There’s been times that he’s at the rink late and you’re doing school work late and he just props his phone up while you both do your thing even though he’s ON THE ICE

Keeps his AirPods in so he can hear you talk to him

You have movie nights together and do screen sharing

You decide to surprise him bc you have some

Big news

And he’s been in a HUGE scoring drought

You know it’s taking a toll on him bc he literally tells you everything

Every SINGLE thing

You surprise him when he’s doing morning workout w the team

They let you in because everyone knows you now he doesn’t shut up about you shows them pics of you always on the phone

And he’s SWEATY but he runs to you and picks you up in a big bear hug spins you around

He’s so so happy he really needed this especially after you guys talked SO much during the dads trip (since his dad couldn’t make it and all)

He keeps looking for you in the stands and during warm up just keeps skating past you and tapping the glass and puts his face up to it and shfhfjxbdchfjbfdn

he gets out of his scoring drought SO quickly in the 1st

Scores twice, is on hatty watch, has the best game ever

Whenever he’s on the bench he thinks about how he got his mojo back literally the day you got to Raleigh

Gets first star and skates up to you to bang on the glass before throwing the puck to some kids next to you

When you go see him he’s all sweaty and gross and shirtless, his hockey pants still on and all

The stunning and lovely @demonrunningwild tagged me to share 5 things that make me happy and then pass the question to the last 10 people who reblogged my posts 💖

Music 🎶 I've pretty much always have music on to make my day the best it can be. I was reminiscing with a friend, as a little kid my parents got me mini radios I would have on all day/night with my cheap little earbuds. Soon after that, I got a stereo that you could pull off the speakers individually so, I would take one and plug it into my handheld radio (and eventual mp3 player) to blast music when I showered lol

My Niece 💝 I can't believe she's about to be 3 years old in a few days! She's the light of our life! It's so cool to see her learning more and more everyday. She's definitely getting Spanish and English down well which makes me so happy. (I'm literally the only one that's not perfectly bilingual in the entire family 🥲) I'm so lucky to be her favorite Tio! I'm looking forward to watching Ghibli movies with her soon ✨ Fun fact, she got my side of the family's curly hair which brings me extra happiness lol

My Best Friends ❇️ I am grateful to have them in my life and to be a part of theirs. I love having long ass video calls with them and just vibing out to music as we spend time together. I love the dumb memes we send to each other throughout the week. Doing our best to share advice and support in tough times. They bring me so much joy, I couldn't ask for more.

Video Games 🎮 This year has been so great and we've only just made it to April LMAO! Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was really huge for me and absolutely blew my mind! Before that Persona 3 Reload was such a great time too and now I'm really enjoying my run in Dragon's Dogma 2. I'm SUPER looking forward to Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail this summer, that's absolutely going to take over my life 😌

TV 📺 I am a couch potato, no doubt about it. Just like video games, I really love to let my mind get swept up into the different worlds people write up! Lately I got into Frieren which has been so fun, funny, and touching. Also checking out Palm Royale on Apple TV which has been silly and intriguing. Dungeon Meshi has been super wacky, loving that a lot too! I'm always looking forward to something new and I equally love doing a rewatch (like Psych! Never get tired of rewatching that!)

what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have?

because he's handsome? and he has a great personality? haha, memes aside, I love Fallen Order and Survivor. at first, I shit you not, I didn't wanna play Fallen Order because of that GIANT! STUPID! FROG! so I stopped playing but started to really love Cal because I thought he was super cute? and then I was like, "Yeah, no, I can't keep talking about him without having played the game," and was even more motivated to finish it with Survivor coming around the corner.

the reason why I chose him is because of his internal battles. (I'm trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible!) his internal battles made his character more relatable, and him always feeling like he has to do more than he needs to, like he feels like he needs to carry the weight of the galaxy on his shoulders? i deeply related to that and I think, loving and writing cal, he has taught me to be more patient and more kind to myself. and oh my god he's so handsome.

is there anything you don’t like to write? i used to be afraid of writing action because I felt like i'd be unsure of how to write it, but I've come to love writing action! i can't exactly think of anything I don't like writing. um I'm just a little nervous about writing nsfw but I think if I'm comfortable with my writing partner, then I can give it a shot! me, writing nsfw: what position are they in again?? UHHH but I know I can write smut, I'm just a little nervous that it won't be enjoyable for both parties omg.

is there anything you really enjoy writing? ANGST. AAAAAAAANGST!!!!! AND ROMANCE!!!! i find these facets of rp so so fun. hence why I'm always happy to ship if there's chemistry! i feel like angst helps me explore the character's nature more do a deep dive into the why behind things. WHEN IT HURTS THE HEART YOU KNOW THAT SHIT IS THE GOOD SHIT.

how do you come up with headcanons? it's almost like they come to me lol. i like to think a lot, especially on the verses I am passionate for. like the grand inquisitor cal verse is my absolute favorite and it's so full of angst that it's super fun to just sit back and think about what he would be like in that verse. i just let headcanons come to me naturally while I think about my muses. sometimes I draw inspiration from media, like film or shows. the loth-wolf idea was inspired by art I've seen of princess Mononoke (which I need to watch) and the rebels show? i just want to give cal a GIANT DOGGO to tell the doggo to SICK 'EM.

do you write in silence or do you play music? both! i can do either. music can inspire me.

do you plan your replies or wing them? both. i like to plot with my partners the set up and wing the rest. whatever feels natural. sometimes I have ideas of things I want to include in my replies beforehand, but other than that it's all trial by fire, baby.

hi, anon! no this is not rude at all -- that is a very valid question! plus, it can be really confusing and disheartening when an author that you follow on ao3 randomly stops posting! i totally, totally get it! <3 :')

but for me, at least, posting my updates onto ao3 got suuuper stressful and unpleasant. like literally shredded my mental health.

but this!!! this is Fun for me <3 :) there's just somethin abt tumblr, idk.

i was holding myself to all these standards on ao3, stressing myself the fuck out...& i know i'm not supposed to delete the asks i respond to, but its nice that if i feel that compulsion, i can delete stuff/edit it without it being this big, gigantic thing i'm tampering w/.

...because an ask disappearing when i'm anxious is a bummer, but me deleting Entire Chapters and possibly entire fanfictions because of panic attacks i got...due largely in part to the ungodly Stress i incurred while writing them? not cute.

also, it was a little different when style/sp was super popular on ao3 and there were new fanfics/updates for stories everyday so when you posted something, it was very low stakes and if you just gave the tags a couple hours, your fic could be washed away onto page 2/3...

...but ohHHHHH my god its so SLOW right now!!! that i shit you not updates are sitting on the front page for like multiple days??? which is nice for people that want exposure ( and deserve it tbh! ) but a large part of the ao3 posting stress was me...watching my fic get views and not get kudosed or commented on so...if i was updating rn, i would be in hell. and i'm already in hell 25/8 doing my damn job.

which! i'm a working lady! i'm very busy and stressed! running a tumblr blog is waaaay less stressful than constantly updating a fanfiction tbh. and whats more? this is stress relieving for me. <333

i enjoy this little community of people who like my content on tumblr. its less vulnerable than a03 and way less aggressive than twitter. fr. you guys are super nice to me on here and i never feel stressed or pressured ever to post stuff. <33 its really fun for me to be able to answer really super specific questions about my fanfic for people who are actively seeking out that information! like its very...curated.

and its very specific in terms of my fanfics/ncuniverse stuff, but its nice for me because i can post a variety of diff content! like i can post up my little para things, snippets of dialogue, be silly and goofy in my ask memes, but also really serious in my ask memes, i can be in depth or mysterious, sad, funny, happy, really weird like idk you guys, i really enjoy the freedom i have on here to...create without limits? ig

it feels like i can give you a shit ton of information in different mediums without having to update my fanfics, like, idk, i guess its probably not as exciting to see my ask meme answers as it is to get fanfic updates, but i try to make them like little updates, yknow? it was also really annoying to have to keep you guys in the dark abt stuff in my fics/ideas i have bc i...havent updated, so now its like!! i can tell you stuff again which!!! -mel: menace mel, you are so crazy and entertaining, you never cease to make me and everyone else giggle. im glad you are a part of the group and i hope to have you around in my life for a long time :)

i could go on forever about these specific goons i adore them all so much i am forever amazed at their kindness, how easy to get along with everyone is, how we can all joke without anyone ever going too far, its such a safe happy place, we all support each other so much and im so so happy it was such an inclusive progressive sexy show that bought us all together

salut tout le monde !! it’s been too long I know T-T sadly I’ve been a little demotivated recently, but luckily that’s what led to todays post! since I’ve been feeling worn out lately but still want to keep up with my studies, I’ve decided to share my top lazy language student tips~ please enjoy <3

i love these because they’re fun, quick and a stupid, lighthearted way to at least keep me interacting with french daily. the music is silly and makes me happy, and there’s a bunch of different topics and areas you can quiz yourself on. you can do some kahoots with specific themed vocab or find a general knowledge quiz or something that’s written in your target language. kahoots remind me of messing around with my friends and it honestly just makes me smile haha

⁎⁺˳✧༚ fanfic

i read a lot of fanfic anyways as a result of being chronically online, so why not do that in french? i have actually found some of my favourite authors through reading french fanfics. i like them because it’s a reminder of just how much is opened up to you when you learn a second language which can be really motivating, and they also ensure i get my regular hurt/comfort fix. it exposes me to colloquial language and different dialects, and is also a good way to keep me actually interested in learning when i feel like crap.

⁎⁺˳✧༚ word of the day

sometimes i’m super super busy or completely to forget to study, but still don’t want to have a ‘no zero’ day when it comes to pursuing my language goals. so, i will literally only learn one new word. i’ll find an interesting word related to what i did that day or one of my passions, try and pair it with my current vocab and use it in a sentence and then add it to my word of the day flashcards deck. it sounds simple, but i’m still engaging with the language at least a little bit.

this is a very general topic, so allow me to expand. i use youtube once at least everyday - be that for a workout, a tutorial, leisure, study or work. but it’s so easy to make this contribute to my goals by just trying to find a similar video in french! looking for a setting in your phone? find a tutorial vid in your target lang. doing some morning stretches? 15 min video in your target lang probably has you covered. it’s quick and simple and doesn’t feel like as much effort as hauling all my study supplies out and pouring over a textbook for two hours.

⁎⁺˳✧༚ digital diary

if i haven’t done anything to study french in the day, a typical solution of mine is to write a diary entry in french. because i use a digital diary, i like to decorate it with memes i found funny/sweet, annotated photos from my day, screenshots of messages with my friends and songs i’ve been enjoying. i can do all of this in french just as easily as i can do it in english, which means i can tick off two things on my to-do list in one sitting and have fun at the same time!

Happy Birthday rabbitcrimes!

In honor of my sweet roommate dedicating their latest fic to me I am memorializing the horrible platonic wangxian fic I wrote about us based on a dream I had about our lives together/our jobs -- they are Lan Wangji and I am Wei Wuxian in this fic, and also unfortunately in like everything that we do. I wrote this in like one hour and it is indeed supposed to be bad -- I swear I can write better than this. This fic was a part of a 24 page zine about us and how we are Platonic Wangxian. I had to modify the format of it to get it to post on tumblr so it somehow looks even MORE stupid, but yeah lol here she is. Happy belated Birthday @rabbitcrimes sorry for putting this on the internet 🐰🤡

PLATONIC WANGXIAN MODERN AU:

The One Thousand Dollar Day

Most days, Wei Wuxian wakes up later than Lan Wangji — unless he just hasn’t gone to sleep yet — particularly on days when they both work. These are objectively the worst days. Not only for the audacity that both of them have to work, but also because their work schedules overlap so that on these days, they inevitably miss each other. Lan Wangji leaves before Wei Wuxian wakes, Wei Wuxian leaves before Lan Wangji returns, Wei Wuxian finally returns after Lan Wangji has fallen asleep. It’s horrible.

They may live together and are in constant communication both via their individual messages, messaging in the 4+ group chats they are both in, and the endless stream of pornographic content they share with each other on various media platforms; AND YET, when they don’t see each other for 24 hours, it IS a tragedy akin to the fall of Lotus Pier. Wei Wuxian, often stuck in baby-girl mode is very clingy, and will send work selfies to ensure that Lan Wangji doesn’t forget what he looks like, and that he is a snacc.

On this, the day our story takes place, the day has thus far… sucked. Bitches in the bookstore are really trying Lan Wangji’s patience, which is un-fortchy not an uncommon occurrence. Lan Wangji, perfect boy that he is, is responsible for every single inch of that bookstore, including physically holding up the wall beams in his big strong hands so that the ceiling stays up while the silly little patrons walk around and talk about how they all go to art school. Lan Wangji has also read every book that has ever been written, and still just smiles and nods when people ask him things like if he’s heard of the greatest book ever written: “Infinite Jest.”

Things are even worse for Wei Wuxian, as he has just rolled over in bed like a beached seal and remembered that he, a good person, ALSO has to go to work. The fact that they live in a four person household and only they go to work is honestly insane . And yet, EVERYDAY (insert quote about everyday meaning everyday) BOTH Toast and Juno stay home making no money and committing crimes. Double guilty!!

Alas, nothing to be done. Wei Wuxian, still in bed, finishes the fic he fell asleep reading last night, sending Lan Wangji screen shots of the parts that make him wants to pull his teeth out with his bare hands, and then gets up to feed his screaming son.

The two of them fall into their daily routine — Lan Wangji at the bookstore, Wei Wuxian prepping for a night at the club — all the while messaging back and forth. It’s comfortable, comforting, the easy stream of thoughts, jokes, and little updates they haven’t yet told each other. Though they are not snugglin’ in one of their beds, or screaming in their living room, they are together in the homey space they’ve made between their phones. Wei Wuxian pauses midway through putting in his extensions to smile at a message and respond to the very correct take that Lan Wangji has sent him about their blorbos, tagging on one of his overly used memes, and then goes back to his hair. His days are easier when they’re sprinkled with Lan Wangji like this. He takes a moment to collect himself and not go little bitch mode about how he has found a family and made a home.

By 4:00 P.M. Wei Wuxian has complained at least twelve times about going to work, every time Lan Wangji patiently and sincerely telling him that it is indeed not fair, cruel and unusual, frankly insane. He walks to the train blasting UNIQ and for the umpteenth time texts Lan Wangji “this song is so bad,” and then, “it does kinda bang tho.”

At work, he flirts with men to scam them out of money, living out the plot to started from the bottom / now I’m rich, except instead of murder it is acquisition of dollars (he is never sure if he is disappointed by the money over murder outcome). Lan Wangji finally gets home to their horrible children. On breaks, Wei Wuxian skips up to the locker room and checks his messages, there are memes and videos in a few of their shared group chats, and a photo sent by Lan Wangji of Juno curled up like a little angel on his bed. Wei Wuxian smiles, and hears himself getting called for stage. He heart reacts to the Juno pic and asks Lan Wangji how the rest of his day went.

The rest of the night goes by fast and busy, and Wei Wuxian doesn’t have time to check his phone. He twirls his hair and pretends to be interested when men tell him about bitcoin, or that they’re “not like other guys” because they “like to travel,” all the while thinking about gay porn.

On his way home, he reads a very pleased message from Lan Wangji that the store had a thousand dollar day, despite the season. Wei Wuxian beams for him. It’s 4:30 A.M. when he gets home and goes through his nightly routine: texting Lan Wangji as he’s coming in so he doesn’t worry, quietly closing his door to not wake him while he takes his make up off and makes ramen, then falls asleep as the sun comes up.

Later, Wei Wuxian wakes to the sound of the electric kettle. He picks up his purple felt Crown Royal bag and counts his cash from last night to the familiar sounds of Lan Wangji making tea in the kitchen, gently talking to Juno about getting her breakfast ready. Wei Wuxian’s face breaks out into a huge smile as he counts over a thousand dollars. Unable to contain his glee he enters into the kitchen, giving Lan Wangji a devilish look, which takes him by surprise and he laughs. Wei Wuxian loves walking into a room and making Lan Wangji laugh with just a face that makes mischief music play in their heads.

They fist bump over their shared thousand dollar days, and Wei Wuxian giddily brings out the cash so that he can show Lan Wangji the thick stack of hundreds and twenties. It’s Monday and they both have the day off. They’ll spend it reading quietly, or writing loudly, in the same room or separate rooms. It’s easy. Many things aren’t, but these days are.

“Let’s order Gorilla Sushi for dinner,” one of them thinks, as the other one says it out loud at the same time.

It's super rare to see someone interpret him normally, without falling into either "uwu soft baby who did nothing wrong" or "insane freak without a sense of morality who loves to commit arson for the fun of it". I think his behavior in the prologue of sdr2 is the most accurate version of him

His "huh?" in the 4th trial... I just find it pretty funny. The "Am I allowed to speak now?" also deserves mentioning. All his other memorable lines are SO memed in the fandom that I kinda even find them annoying lol xD

sexuality discourse sucks and also often uses biphobic and/or stupid rhetoric. The fact that he didn't react inappropriately when he fell between Mikan's legs doesn't mean that headcanoning him as mspec isn't allowed! That's just a normal human behavior and you're weird!

This is super predictable and basic but,,, hope by Jack Stauber. Ik the song is about addiction but it also fits Komaeda's relationship with hope. I mean, it is the thing that "keeps him going everyday" right? Also maaaaybe "pretty cvnt" (hate the name) but only because I feel like the lyrics could kinda be similar to Komaeda's self hatred lol. I would love to say more but I very rarely associate songs with fictional characters,,, maybe with my OCs at best but yeah sorry :(

1. First ship you remember

I’ve said it before but Bunny is the very first SP ship I remember shipping and what got me into the fandom in the first place! Second after that I think was Style… they’ve always been ships that go hand in hand anyway so it makes sense. Anyway Bunny was my OTP back in the day, definitely the ship I read and wrote the most fic for (before discovering Gregstophe).

2. Your newest ship

I feel like everyday there’s new rarepairs I’m crafting in my head like “Would that even work?” BUT my most recent one I think I’ve stuck on is Gary/Heidi (Gardi?). It started from me doing the South Park ship meme for my 400 followers, when I drew them next to each other and thought “Aw they’re kinda cute!” Since then, I’ve been thinking more about them (especially with my next gen concept) and I think I really like them together? I picture them being super normal, much more so than any other SP couple, but very sweet and supportive. I’ll admit that part of why I like that comes from the fact that I don’t have any major Gary or Heidi ships I like (except Stary, but I’m shipping Style like 90% of the time so not really). It’s a little “pair the spares” in that sense, but I’ve never seen anything wrong with that concept.

22. Ship that you immediately fell in love with after one scene despite not considering it before

Not a scene BUT I really started to like Kengory (Kenny/Gregory) as a ship after rereading Lex Talionis recently. They’re not a pair in that fic but they have SUCH a good dynamic in it, I couldn’t not fall in love. Like, it’s a pairing you’d never consider because they don’t interact in the slightest in the movie (nor is there any implication that they ever did) but if you really start to think about it, it makes a ton of sense. Both care very deeply about protecting those around them and standing up for what’s right. They’re also both a bit of a martyr, Kenny as Mysterion especially. There’s also the potential for them to have a sort of prince and the pauper thing going on (I know the prince doesn’t date the pauper in the OG story but oh well).

23. Poly ship that you ship despite not shipping some of the characters in it outside of poly ship

This isn’t quite what the question asked but I’ve got a number of weird poly ships involving Kevin Stoley?? For example, last year I was kinda into the idea of him plus Tokendy, then him plus Clybe, and now I’ve kinda got him in a larger polycule for my next gen (Kenbe are married but Kenny is also dating Butters and Bebe is also dating Kevin). I’ve never been huge into any individual Kevin ships, mostly because the only big ones out there are Revin (and I headcanon Red as a lesbian) and Stolovan (which I do like but not nearly as much as other Clyde ships). Kevin is just my beloved little nerd loser and I love tacking him onto ships that make no sense <3

Mumu and I have also done fun thought experiments where we take characters, stick them in a randomizer, and make random polycules from that. It’s all very silly usually, but sometimes there’s some really interesting ideas and circumstances we can think of that would lead to such a ship!

[Vent: This will be my last update about my wrists! Thank you for those who took the time to read and/or sent “get-well-soon”s- It does mean a lot! Anything relating to more personal issues can be very taxing to read or “not what I signed up for” and that’s perfectly valid!! In the end, we are strangers on the web ^^ Feels like the more I post updates or anything— it feels very attention seeking— so I want to make this a good send off. I might update/edit the log if anything comes up.]

A little bit about why the sudden change in art style

Acknowledgements: There are bigger issues in the world, there are threatening crises and positions people face that could be physically/and or emotionally damaging. My condition isn’t chronic, but for those who have do have life-long issues— my heart really goes out to them; I’ve only been through the tip of the iceberg of what they might have been through.

It’s hypocritical of me to make posts about having to recover/exhausting myself from writing/drawing, yet I still draw anyways. I guess I wanted to end this off comically— making silly memes or inside jokes with friends definitely lifted my mood. (Edit: I can’t type (on a keyboard)/write, but you know what I can do? Text.)

Having to do art in school and outside is not great for recovery (if I want both my wrists back to normal) but I compulsively draw anyways- I think it’s probably because I’m aiming for an art school, I’m scared of ever stopping and getting rusty with art again. While it’s true that a lot of art is really boiled down to how well you can break down concepts and memorizing the technical knowledge, it took me years to finally develop a hand that could draw clean lines and hold things steadily.

Compared to Summer 2022, I definitely recovered much more and made a lot of progress. I didn’t have to eat painkillers every single day, I didn’t have to rely on wrist splints, I can hold a half-filled mug with one hand, and so much more. I’d say the conditions of my wrists is tolerable; it still hinders me when I try to open doorknobs, but I’ll take whatever accomplishments I can get.

It wasn’t until finally seeing a physiotherapist, after god knows how long (Please- I grew up in a traditionally Chinese family that doesn’t believe in western medicines ;;), I was diagnosed with early osteoarthritis on my left wrist. Even though only one wrist is diagnosed, I have difficulties moving both my wrists, and according to my X-ray back in September 2022, the bones in both my wrist have narrowed from a lack of use. I’m kinda baffled because you’d think it’d be my dominant hand, the hand I use everyday and stress out, would be diagnosed. I’m told that I’ll need an MRI for my left, so hopefully nothing goes too wrong.

I love drawing, fanart or original— for myself or others. I don’t think it’s something I can ever stop? Maybe I’ve gotten on a high now that I’ve recovered bit by bit, and having gotten out of art block for months helped too. I can’t help but feel like part of my art block is because of my wrists. Even when my wrists were not as bad, I still couldn’t find the motivation to do line art. Maybe my current development in art isn’t actually laziness but just how my wrists have subconsciously been affecting my performance. When I looked back on my old art, I truly loved line art, rendering, having to press hard with pencil crayons to blend, oil pastels— I really did enjoy them.

If I ever drew gifts/requests/others for you, I want to say that I opened them because I wanted to— I knew what I was signing up for. Heck— when I did them— I did them on a good day.

* Am I ever going to take a break? I’ll be honest- probably not. Plus- the watercolour mimic style let’s me draw looser lines and with the colouring? I don’t have to worry about pen pressure or pressing hard- But I’ll try?? I might try to see if I can dig up any older art of mine that still holds up to my standards.

With school, I always feel like I have to take on extra jobs and volunteer to help out in areas that are within my field. I’ve also contemplated telling or broadcasting my needs to others because I’m always scared they’ll think I’m “being dramatic” or “faking it”. I’m also scared that the one time I ask for help to do a “simple” task, my peers will start questioning my recovery. I can’t describe how shameful it feels to not be able to help out a friend if they want to move a desk or even with chores. Maybe it’s me self projecting, but I always feel like if I can’t help someone, I’d be selfish.

Since I can never truly articulate my experiences and thoughts in person (cause I’d forget details or cut out too much because I feel rushed), I’ll be using this to send out ^^

If you *actually* read all of this- thank you and please don’t think too much of it! I don’t want this post to be the reason someone’s mood gets drained— so I drew the cat maid instead of putting my usual reaction images. I hope my attempt at humour came through?? But at what cost…
