ok it is SO funny to me that inkopolis square has just turned into this white wasteland area when it's really right beside inkopolis proper.

sharing my theories on the Side Order DLC, share yours too!

references to neurons/brain parts -references to body parts forming

references to hivemind/clone-like structures -so much dead ocean life (the "snowy" environment you can see on the trailer is called marine snow which is waste, dead skin, and other organic particulate that floats in the water column)

speaking of marine waste marine waste also makes a huge similarity to the name marina

it makes sense that the octoling is a mute brown hair color, almost gray, like a combination of pearl and marina's hair colours

I saw a comment that said this could be about marina's brain but i doubt it

im so in with the theory that marina tried getting order in place but has gone a little insane

because in the trailer there is a huge flash of a lot of images and the ones where pearl and marina are in the same photos are specifically blurried. the blurry photo of Off the Hook has Marina's head mostly out of frame, to me it seems to indicate a loss of identity or existentialism

and then you have the image of pearl in full quality looking down at you

and where's marina?? the only unblurred picture of marina we got was her singing but glitchy indicating something is wrong

are we gonna have to save marina

again the huge references to neurons/brain parts hint a lot that this will be a mindfuck for sure

pressumably an inkling giving the pointy parts? Giving the shadow of the shirt, it looks a lot like agent 4's agent outfit or maybe im reaching because i want her back and it would mke sense to have her back giving its located on the inkopolis square where she had her missions run

anybody else notice that theres another person in this elevator, as in shes being escorted trough an elevator?? the octoling is either looking at her own reflection or looking outside Bringing back the huge references to neurons and brain parts: was this poor octoling's brain messed with? she is being escorted, again not alone, presumably with someone that knows what's going on and is guiding her to some facility My guesses: This is agent 8 and she's gotten enrolled with another facility again my girl will never find peace

This is a clone similar to agent 8 and we get to see what was of agent 8's "siblings" (remember my points 1, 2, and 3? could this be the inside of the mind of a sanitized octoling, living in an endless reverie?)

Following up the clone theory: These two placed in line, placed in Order Marina tried making a clone? marina tried making a child? pearlina child real??/hj Marina is deffinetely NOT okay, and im really intrigued about that

what i got from the new side order, Splatoon 3 wave 2, expansion pass trailer:

•PEARL ROBOT DRONE??? guiding eight and helping eight glide.

•marina is possibly the main antagonist?

•robot fish that look like sunfish? they glitched/got birthed out of a glitchy orb. potential marina minions???

•DEDF1SH (acht) FINALLY GOT A 3D MODEL!

•acht and marina going way back.

•colours and colour palette??? very clever idea. eight will probably have to paint the colours back to inkopolis and / or the lands.

•acht also providing eight help.

•each colour chip gives eight a new ability, maybe???

•the mechanical tornado at the end?? hello??????

•the spire's order???

Nintendo Switch: DDLV-A Rift In Time...Part 1!

Where I thought this was going to be Update #6, it is taking a path all its own and happening at the same time as Update #6. Let's jump in.

Before the Update: So, there is a lot to unpack in just one image. Left to right. Left, you see the vitalys crystals found in the mines. Waterfalls and the almost antlantean rocks. I would love that snake as a pet. A sand land, Jafar was teased at the end and he does come Arabia. The castle from Aladdin is in the center. Shifting right you have Tangled house, with the main character from tangled below. You see wall-e's garden, but you also see Eve. I would love for wall-e to have his other half. You see the encanto house, not that I saw the movie or generally liked that-but that is a large family as far as I know. Maybe we get another family member? I almost forgot about Gaston, glad to see more characters from that story coming. He could look better. The staff tool looks original. I can't place the animal on the right. I can't place the boat but some have said it's Typhoon Lagoon, Tarzan, or Jungle Cruise. Maybe Mickey's ship? New realms means new flowers and seeds and foods. Also, THE MONKEY.

Welcome to Eternity Isle: So there is a lot to unpack here. First off, check your mailbox. There will be some intended and unintended goodies in there. This is somewhat story based, you will need to have completed a couple of missions (4 or so that show up more in the beginning of the game) that you need to be able to start your journey to Eternity Isle. You talk to Jafar via a holographic device. Merlin shows you how to get there. (I was so surprised when I saw it, the developers are being very smart in leaving so many future options open for this game)

Once you get there, You see mostly what we saw in the preview as a video. The first area is ancients landing. This is essentially another valley but its smaller (and called an isle). It functions not unlike your valley, but with different everything. Animals, fruits, trees, crystals, spices, etc. You do have a copy of your house there-which begs the question-should storage be inside your house to transfer to both areas better? You follow the story and most of what you need to know is explained as you go.

Characters can come and go to both locations. Mickey introduces a game you can play with villagers, seems chess like. I have not played this yet but plan to next time I jump on. You have Eve, Gaston, and Rapunzel on this side to meet and level up. You can house them here or in the valley. There is a restaurant from Remy to work on, stalls for goofy, and a shop for Scrooge.

I personally really like it so far. A lot of content now, and coming up, for the price. It is hard to imagine how much it cost behind the scenes to make this. Yes, at some point the company will profit-but if they do not, they go out of business-and if we want to play games we need the company around. Next update is in Spring of 2024, part 2-the spark of Imagination. What part of this do you love so far?

Nintendo Announces Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass Plans

Splatoon 3 has been a killer release for the Switch and shown off just what the system can do visually as time goes on. It’s also played host to several Splatfests already, but not much in the way of announced content. Nintendo changed that today by announcing the Expansion Pass for it – starting off with Inkopolist from Splatoon 1 in the first wave of DLC.

also I know that there's lots of theories and one of them is that side order takes place in a brain space or something, though I'm not entirely convinced about that at this point, because the description of side order on the eshop says (paraphrasing) "see what has become of Inkopolis Square" which definitely could be a way to obfuscate that it's not actually reality or something but like. anything is possible with what limited info we have tbh
