i'm curious how were you introduced to tomdaya. outside of their 🚦😘🚙 📸 did you start with the press interviews, stumble upon the timeline, watch old snapchats on youtube, go through tumblr archives? and how long did that deep dive take you? It was a solid 3 weeks before i felt like i was all caught up but man it was fun because they were so messy with their little secret 😂

i first saw them in homecoming - didn't think they were cute - saw them again in ffh - was too busy having a life and didn't care for fan stuff - and thankfully didn't start stanning them after that - covid became a thing - working from home dragged me back into my part-time loser life - then i remember seeing one of the people i follow on twitter who isn't even a tomdayer tweeting about a picture of a purple hoodie on zendaya's bedroom floor that belonged to tom and started getting a bit curious about them but forgot about it - then the july 2 pics dropped - fell into a small and incomplete rabbithole - kept checking on them from time to time - nwh press happened - became a full time loser - started wanting more content - was surprised to find out that tumblr still existed and wasn't just a safe space for the larries of the world - found out that there's even more stuff about them that i didn't know thanks to the archives - read them all in 24 hours - became a tomdaya expert - kept checking on blogs but was too afraid to make my own in case the website alerted my contacts that i got an account? - got brave and decided to make the blog - survived tcr filming era - got invited to their wedding in december - tomdaya 3.0 happened - lots of vomitting was done - would like for tomdayaqna to come back and take me with her

Ok, so, I know so many people probably think this and have said it but I need to throw my bit into the mix. Bray as a character was so creatively inspirational for me. When Shane came back to WWE in 2016, I watched for a little bit, but didn't really pay attention. It wasn't until The Fiend happened in 2019 that I truly became immersed again and paid attention. I had watched stuff before that but The Fiend was such a breath of fresh air for me, something truly new and intriguing, and it made me want to be a part of that world again.

My first wrestling fanfictions (since the attitude era) happened in 2019. When Zowens followed the following year, I found myself in an entire world of joy and wonder that has gotten me through so much horrible stuff over the past couple years that I don't think anyone could ever truly appreciate. So much love for wrestling was reignited by the Firefly Fun House for me and I don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for Bray and his creativity. I certainly wouldn't have the friends I do today on here and on Discord, I certainly wouldn't be writing fanfiction (something that I use as a major coping technique) and I certainly wouldn't have an entire wall of figures behind me that bring me joy every time I enter my office.

Shane was my first. Zowens is my now. But really, I never would have gotten from point A to point B if it wasn't for Bray and maybe, just maybe, that's why I have an entire 2-part setup on my one shelf entirely of Bray and Co. figures. As many figures as I managed to acquire of the FFH storyline and related stuff.

Maybe I'll take a picture and show it. I don't know This hurts. A LOT.

It’s unbelievable how much Bray inspired and helped all of us without even realizing. God, he touched so many hearts even from people who never really knew him personally, that speaks volumes of his magnetic presence and his creativity and the beautiful soul he was.

i’m watching the amazing spider-man for the first time and i had two thoughts:

there’s just something so fun about ethan and reader getting together when her dad is the dewey riley, a cop who joined the spider-man task force shortly after the hero made his debut, and gale weathers, the reporter infamous for her investigative journalism and absolutely obsessed with discovering the superhero’s identity, even if it does more harm than good

and also the thought of the classic miscommunication trope with ethan during ffh era and he’s trying all these different things to tell reader he wants to try again and get back together but reader just thinks he’s having a hard time revealing his secret to her after figuring out that it could have been a reason as to why they broke up in the first place

cue awkward fluff !!!

I actually think Jacob seemed way more mature and subdued during NWH press compared to FFH press to me. 🤔

I know during FFH press, and during the Atlanta era, a lot of fans (including myself 👀) were finding him a bit annoying and cringe in interviews. For me, it was more so because he would just crack these weird jokes during interviews and not really contribute anything meaningful to the actual conversation. 🥴 And then he and his gf were super cringe on social media during the Atlanta era... 👀

But during NWH press, I thought Jacob actually did a good job during interviews! He seemed way more serious, he seemed to take his job more seriously, he was less annoying, he stopped with the cringe jokes, etc. I MUCH more preferred him during NWH press than FFH press lol 😆

But hey, maybe he was a bit "off" during FFH press cuz maybe TZ had already broken up by then, and it was just super awkward being in the middle trying to babysit the two of them during that awkward period lol.

Either that, or he just got an interview coach haha.

They said the TV show is an anthology and every season they're gonna talk about a different mental illness to raise awareness about it. But I agree that taking "inspiration" (what does that even mean ? where is the limit between real facts and the fictional inputs?) from Billy Milligan stories but half ass it is giving me the ick. I'm all about talking about DID, but I'm not sure doing all this and turning it into a murder mystery thriller was the best way to do it. 🤐

And about Tom, I kinda understand why the fandom died a bit. Most of us started following him back in 2017 for Spider-man. Back in the day, he shared so much of his life and we got to see glimpses of his personality through interviews, and every single year we got press tour and him attending events and being more open of social media (it started with hoco era, then iw era + ffh filming, then ffh era, then cherry era..). But for the past few years he's barely "out there" so it's harder to connect with him if that makes sense ? But personally I'll still follow him because Im too deep in (😅) even if he only appears 2 times a year, the less we see the better I guess, I'm gonna enjoy it regardless

I’m for talking about mental illness/disorders etc to spread awareness for those who don’t know about it. DID is one of those where most people (myself included) don’t know a whole lot about it and to me, shows like this give it this like “it’s evil” perception. Which obviously I haven’t watched the show to say that’s true but that’s the vibe I get and I feel like we could’ve picked another story to get some awareness out there…especially since alot of Tom’s fans are so young and impressionable, they may get the wrong idea about certain things…but again I really don’t know much regarding the show yet to fully judge

And yeah Tom has grown a lot since Hoco…he’s almost 27 so he’s changed a lot which is understandable. These things happen and I can only imagine it’s probably worse when you’re under a spotlight like he is.

my comfort movies hmmmmm. Princess diaries 1 and 2. Kung fu panda movies. SHREKKKKKK. Tangled, legally blonde, Spider-Man (any of them except Far From Home and No Way Home because they make me sad), Cinderella (both the animated and the live action, the animated sequels are hilarious), The Lion King

shows? The great British baking show, Kitchen Nightmares (nothing more comforting than the sounds of Gordon Ramsay screaming at somebody for serving expired food), Bluey (don’t judge me), Criminal Minds (nothing more comforting than FBI shows), Desperate Housewives, season one of The Flash, season one of The Arrow, The Office, Avatar the Last Airbender, Twilight because it’s so hilariously bad.

You are so so right that FFH and NWH are too sad for their own good! I'm not a Marvel rewatcher because the whole life or death thing is waaaay too sad for my soft bones.

Now that I'm trying to think of what my comfort media is, I'm realizing that it's mostly books? For movies, it's Kiki's Delivery Service. For shows, lately, it's been season 1 of Bridgerton or the Great British Baking Show (my heart 🖤).

hi, anon!!! 💖 don’t be sorry for that! it’s normal to not like something! i’m 100% sure jake agrees with you! that man was not enjoying hearing about all the movies and characters he gives no fucks about while promoting far from home 😂😭 BUT I FEEL YOU! i officially joined the madness that was the jake fandom back during far from home era and it was a TRIP 🥲 i miss it dearly even if it was so overwhelming there is no way i’d be able to keep up with all of it, if i struggled so much already with ambulance & strange world 🙈 but i loved the fun vibes of the interviews and his chemistry with tom and how he just seemed to let loose!!! and the looks 😭 quentin/jake ffh promo tour were some of the hottest moments EVER and i miss that too! 🥺 and i miss mysterio, i really hope marvel brings him back because i need more hysterical man in a cape and tight suit with thick thighs for days! i can replace janet, i’ll steam the wrinkles out of his clothes myself if it can help mysterio come back to us! but i love when jake is paired with someone he gets along with very well for promo and stuff, like tom and yahya and gabrielle, he can act silly goofy and they’ll judge him but that’s okay, at least they let him be 😭 now i want to watch those crack videos made of clips from fun tom/jake moments from the ffh promo tour! thank you for that, anon! 💚
