Megamouth shark!
Tumblr media
It is the smallest of the extant filter-feeding sharks, but it's not exactly small, either: it can reach a length of 5 and a half meters (18 feet). The species is still very mysterious to science, as there has only been about 273 sightings as of September of 2022, according to the Florida Museum.

SECRET BAIT FOR CATCHING LIMITS OF BLUEGILL AND OTHER PANFISH: Here in central Florida late April thru June is the time for panfish such as speckled perch (crappie),bluegill, shellcrackers, bream and catfish. The fish move into shallow water to spawn. They can concentrate by the thousands or just be located in small areas of weed patches or other types of cover. Their are different lures that can be used for catching these fish such as small jigs, and spinnerbaits. But the most commonly used method is the telescoping bream buster poles rigged with a #6 long shanked bream hook, cigar shaped floats,a little bit of weight to stand the float up. The baits used are worms, crickets, and my favorite bait to get you limits of panfish is the grass shrimp. The grass shrimp by far will outfish the other baits. They look just like their saltwater cousins but reach about 1 1/2 inches. To catch these incredible baits you must have a seine net or buy or build a hand net with seine net material. While some people know about this secret bait most do not. This bait hides in the eel grass which we have in most of our lakes. So if you have grass shrimp in your lakes it would be wise to invest in a seine net of some type if you would like to catch limits of panfish.
