Okay so there has been a theory going around about Eve taking Lilith’s place. And I think this might be true?
First of all, there is one distinctive feature that sets the two woman apart and that’s the hair. Lilith’s hair is backwards. With Eve… her hair is covering her face. It’s the complete opposite of Lilith.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So if this theory is correct and Eve is indeed taking Lilith’s place, then Lilith is gone much longer than 7 years judging by the flashback of baby Charlie in “More than Anything”. Because “Lilith’s” hair in the flashback is covering her face like Eve’s. Which means that Eve was already taking Lilith place and she is the one who left 7 years ago while impersonating Lilith?
Also this means that Lucifer actually divorced Eve thinking she was Lilith? And it all has been a misunderstanding? Which means that Lilith still loves Lucifer and the two of them are still married?
Look at how mysterious “Lilith’s” trading card is. Same hair as Eve. Again; The hair is in front of her face, It’s not backwards like that of Lilith. Also, she is putting a finger against her mouth in a shushing manner like she’s hiding a big secret.
Tumblr media
Lilith and Eve could very well be twins. Since Eve is actually created to replace Lilith for Adam.
Eve probably is in Hell because she ate from the forbidden fruit. In the Bible, Adam also ate the fruit but in the show itself we don’t know if he did. Adam is in Heaven because in the show he probably didn’t ate the fruit. Remember; the show is loosely based on the Bible, not fully.
Lots of fans has been saying Lilith could be the main villain of the show. But what if it’s Eve? Think about it. The Morningstar family are the reason why she was cast down to Hell and why she is separated from her husband Adam. They ruined her life. Eve might want to have revenge because of it.

Good evening,,
" the Ethiopian bible version " ,
They say this is roughly the oldest complete written version of the Bible on earth, written on goat skin. It is considered the first Christian illustrated book in the world, written in the early fifth century.

I notice that Endo always slips in subtle hints of sxf world building whenever he make an Eden kids focused chapter.
In the latest chapter 88, he slips in rumours:
Tumblr media
We have a "King Willy the second" and "Queen of enemy nation".
It makes me think that there might be kingdoms in the land of Ostania, or in adjacent lands nearby Ostania. Perhaps this kingdoms already gone, or maybe there're still exist?
This really brings back a theory regarding Anya as the descendants of an extinc kingdom, due to her hair color, and her ability to speak "ancient language"
Tumblr media
Even though, the "ancient language" can also means Anya overhears the lab scientist listing all terminologies in latin words.
Another example.
Back then, at chp. 42, he slips in
Tumblr media
Pastry of knowledge. With a big picture of Apple. An Appe of knowledge. In Eden Academy.
Apple. Knowledge. Eden.
A reference to bible, in which someone in Eden might know a forbidden information, in corelation with Handler Sylvia's teaching to Twilight: knowledge is a very dangerous weapon.
A fact that there is a space race in the sxf world
Tumblr media
Or a fact that Mr. Green knows a secret code for Ostanian people who deflect to the West
Tumblr media
So as much as I really enjoy chapters where Endo shows us kids acting like kids (with all their dramatic antics); which emphazise Twilight and Yor's resolution to stay in the shadow in order to maintain peace so that these kids can always enjoy their time being kids; I will always squints my eyes for these clues. 🤣🤣
I love Endo and his way of storytelling.

Name: Koopa Krag
Debut: Mario Party DS
Get a load of this GEEZER. Most elderly Koopa in town! You can tell he is old because he has gray hair. And you can tell he has gray hair because they gave him big ol' eyebrows and a beard, so that he would have some hair to be gray!
They are really such impressive eyebrows. So long. So solid! They're like curtains! Or like a little dog's ears! These are eyebrows that would billow in the breeze.
Tumblr media
They are a lot like those of Kroop from The Thousand Year Door! The 2000s was THE decade for elderly Koopas with massive eyebrows! I wonder if they were adhering to a style guide with these. A Mario Bible. Okay, three paragraphs about eyebrows is enough. It is time to talk about the turtle behind the eyebrows! And you will learn what he is holding in that first picture. Is it a glowing corn kernel? Let us find out...
Tumblr media
Koopa Krag is the grandfather of a Koopa named Koopa, and he has been trapped inside of a book by Kamek. We never learn why. But isn't it obvious? They are clearly bitter ex-lovers. Such tension between two elderly turtle men can mean nothing else!
The second most likely reason is, Koopa Krag simply knew too much. He knows a lot of things, somehow. He's like the new Toadsworth! He knows what the Magic Jars in Kamek's library will contain even before they are opened, so I guess he has some kind of magical ability. Perhaps channeling energy through his brows...?
Tumblr media
See that blue tower in the upper right corner of Bowser's Pinball Machine? It holds a secret... and Koopa Krag might know what it is! The game tells us this, and nothing else about it. I'm honestly charmed by how mundane that is. Yeah, this one guy might know a little tidbit about this other guy's custom pinball table. Or he might not. It's like the game's writer just hangs out around listening in on characters' conversations. Anyway, I think the tower probably contains a pinball, considering it's above the plunger, and also considering that this is a pinball table where no actual pinballs are visible.
Why would Koopa Krag know about Bowser's pinball machine? That's easy. Kamek would let him play it! Back before the divorce... :(
Tumblr media
In the end, of course, Koopa Krag is freed through the act of a bunch of little guys running around and partaking in wacky minigames. He gives the heroes the treasure he has found, which is a Sky Crystal, which is really just the Thing The Characters Are Collecting. It is not actually a very interesting thing, but it puts basic plot on the table.
I think Koopa Krag is cool! He only appears in this one game, and is only relevant in two story mode cutscenes, but through flavor texts, they make him really feel relevant to this little snippet of the Mario world. He really does feel like he could be a Toadsworth. Toadsworth may be forbidden for unknown reasons these days, but if they ever need a Nice Wise Old Guy for future Mario games, I have just written a letter of recommendation for one!

Servamp Secret Santa 2023!
Happy Holidays @puns-parce ! :3
Tumblr media
I was your Secret Santa this year! :D
You wished for Jeje and fruit symbolism, so I tried to portray that here. According to my research rotten fruit can symbolize death which I thought was fitting for Servamp in general. Rotten fruit can also symbolize the fall of man (the Bible) which I thought fit Jeje considering all the religious symbolism surrounding him. And lastly, I went with an apple since that is the fruit people often use to represent the forbidden fruit in the story of Adam and Eve which is referenced in Servamp.
Had a lot of fun drawing this! Hope you like it!
And thank you to the lovely @animes-trash for hosting this event!
Have a wonderful day/night! And happy holidays!

I'm not Christian, but I did go to church when I was younger. It's been over a decade since I've used a rosary, so I'm not entirely sure if the beads are accurate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Say it,” Father Anthony ordered in the shadows. You both sat in the empty church. The only light came from the flicker of the oil candles that hung from the ceiling. You had never been in a Church alone, especially not on a cold, dark winter night like this. Your hands are sweaty as they trace over the familiar chunky beads. It was a gift given to you by your grandmother. You remember sitting at her vanity as she gifted you the beads. They were sacred, and you kept them secure under your pillow at night, not wanting to lose them, but you almost dropped them as you felt Father Anthony’s gaze lock on you in the shadows. He was watching, waiting for you to start.
He had warned you that if you stuttered or your voice faltered, he would spank you. From the corner of your eye, you could see Anthony's hands clutching the black paddle in his hands as he readied himself. Your breathing hitches as your sweaty hands clutch at the burgundy glass. Your mind goes blank, but you can feel Anthony’s hand ghost your sides, closing your eyes. You took a breath, trying to cleanse your dry lips. Anthony pushes his nails into your thighs, a sign for you to start.
“In the name of the Father, The Son, and of the Holy Spirit Amen” Your fingers move towards the first bead, feeling the contours of the Crucifix between them. He hadn’t even done anything yet, not even touched your skin. You could feel something against it, maybe his fingers or the brush of the silver of his belt as he grinded against you; it was hard to tell in the dark. It was scary not knowing what was coming next. He had blinded you before, but here you were in the Church surrounded by the darkness. You were both very evasive about your relationship. If anyone ever found out about this, Anthony would be fired and defrocked, not even that he would be ousted from the community.
He was more protective of that in the early days, but as your relationship developed, he found it harder and harder to let you go. You were his biggest sin. He couldn’t walk away from second to drinking. You lick your lips as they suddenly turn dry, and you hear him play with the silver of his belt. A warning. “Our father, who art in heaven…” He pulls back your black skirt, which he told you to wear for this evening’s service. Your breathing hitches as you press on, moving to the smaller beads. “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.” “Faster,” Anthony hisses as his belt drops to the ground, and you feel his hands grab you by your waist. “The Agony in the Garden…The Soc-Sco-ugring at the-” You pause as he slides inside you. As always, you are already wet and sticky. His hand teases your clit, preparing you, and you hear him groan in delight. You didn’t want to disappoint him. You could already hear his voice in your head.
You stutter, “At the-Fuck” You are so tight, but that doesn’t stop him. His breathing increases Anthony halts you trying to search for your voice as it escapes you, and you feel the ip of Anthony’s cock ghosting over your back and cum dripping down your legs; you're already so wet. Not that you are surprised. He waits for a moment and clicks his tongue. You can’t help but feel…disappointed. “The scourging at the pillar,” you finish confidently. Anthony nods. “Good girl,” he praises you as he inserts himself into you once again. “The crowning with thorns-” you hesitate as you feel your cheeks flush increase. “And the crucifixion.” “You missed one,” Anthony scolds as he removes himself from you and then takes you over his lap. “The carrying of the cross,” he tells you as his paddle is against your skin."I'm sorry, father." You cry. "Again. Say them again," He demands as the paddle rests inches away from your skin, a lingering threat. You take a shaky breath, clutching the bread, and then you start again, but your brain has already turned to mush. "In the name--" You swallow as you feel him consider if he should spank you or not, but he doesn't. You clear your throat as you start again, your fingers finding their way to the beads. "In the name of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen." His fingers glide against your skin.
You know he won't mark it yet, but you can't help but shiver under his grip. "Our father, who art in heaven." You continue as you move on to the next bead and then the next until you reach "The Agony in the Garden..." You pause, trembling the pad inches and inches away from your skin, and as he presses further, you fumble. "Fuck-i'm so sorry, father." You sob as his paddle spanks against your skin. "I'm so sorry," you tremble. "I thought I had trained you better than this," Anthony snarled You lower your eyes, focusing down on the wooden floor, feeling nothing but shame course through you as he spanks.
"Count. Count to four," He orders, his other hand rubbing your other cheek "One" Smack "Tw-ooh" Smack "Fuck-Thr-eee" He pauses but then adds another smack. "F-ffour" you finish He smacks again. "Good girl, now let's start again from the top."
You nod and carry on repeatedly, but then, this time, you stop at the crucifixion. You close your eyes, knowing what is coming next. You tried to prepare yourself, but there isn't another smack at your ass. Instead, Father Anthony pulls away for a moment, and then he finally starts once again. "I don't think this taught you much of a lesson, did it?" He asks with an arched brow You are too stunned to speak as you feel your ass clench from the stings. He's not going to start again, is he? Usually, he would give breaks in between or at least kiss and "So why don't we try again?" "Father, please-" He ignores you as he reaches over and grabs a candle from the holder. It drips onto your skin, and you hiss, chowing down on your cheek to bear the pain.
"Good girl," he tells you as he messages your head. He watches as your body jitters. The pain is unreal, the sensation of the hot wax. He throws down the paddle, tossing it onto the wooden floor as he grips the candle in his hand, the wax melting his skin. He inserts himself inside you once again. "Let's start from the crucifixion and see if you can finally finish." You nod, shivering from the heat. You feel like you are melting, but also, at the same time, you know that Father Anthony won't hurt you. That was against his moral code, but the pain thrill was still exciting.
"Okay," You gulp as he thrusts inside you. Your dry cum drips between your legs like the candle wax between his fingers. "Okay, okay," you whimper as you get used to his thrusts as they increase in speed, still feeling the tingle of the wax drip down your lower back. "In the name of the Father, The Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen...." Thrust "Our father, who art in heaven…" Thrust. Now, the room is filled with the sound of his skin smacking against yours. His other hand finds its way to your left waist, pulling you as close as humanly possible. Your moans were escapable now. If someone were to walk in right now, it would be clear as day what the two of you were up to, and that feeling made your heart race, and you could just about see your skin turn bright red under the glow of the candle.
"Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. The Agony in the Garden…The Scourging at the-” "Go on," He commands "The scourging at the pillar, The crowning with thorns, and the--the" You can feel yourself approaching your final orgasm as it tricks down your legs, and you roll your head back. You feel Anthony's hand in your hair as he croons your neck to look at you. He pants and spits in your mouth, his chin covered in drool. He stops trapping your hand clutched with the beads firmly.
"Hold on-" He commands as he takes the warm beads from your hands. "Turn around and face me," He commands," and he does You shiver as you finally meet his gaze. He's tired but happy as a small smirk appears at the corner of his lips. Forecebilly he takes the rosary from your hands and shoves them inside your sticky pussy. "Father," You gasp as you feel the beads between your legs. He chuckles darkly "You are such a good girl," he tells you, stroking your hair. "You're doing the Lord's work," he mumbles the sensation. Of the beads rocking between your legs is something else. The small cross rubs against the end of your pussy, edging you even closer and closer without him even touching you. You watch him as he takes his dick in his hand, proud of himself as he watches you stutter and moan, grabbing onto one of the pews. "Let yourself go, love," he instructs as he quickens the pace of his hand on his dick.
You nod, and your eyes roll back, your breathing hitching. You spot him as cum dribbles down from the head of his cock onto his robes. Your hand fiddles for the beads, and you begin rolling them against yourself. God, it was shameful, especially with how much they meant to you, but you knew after this, they would be covered in your seed, in your wetness, and you would give it to him as a gift, perhaps as a birthday present, so that he would always. Be near you. You grin at that thought.
A subtle reminder. "Now, what comes after the crucifixion, my love?" He urges as he wipes his cum against his robes "The Resurrection," you pant. You knew that wasn't all of the stages, but for now, it was the most you could get through without faltering, and you felt proud of yourself as a smile plucked at his lips. Once you finish, you both orgasm against each other, his seed mixed with your wetness. He throws the candle stick into the trash and licks his finger with your mixed juices, but his robe is still a mess. You are too weak to speak, and then he catches you as you are about to collapse onto the floor. "I want to treasure this forever." He pants as he rushes towards you, shoving your hair behind your ear, and kisses your neck as your eyes drift close. "This is heaven...". You lower your head against his neck, and you catch your breath. This man will be the death of you.

So, last night, me and my mom were talking about the I/P conflict and we started getting on the topic of antisemitism and she had some very interesting thoughts!
But I had said “Why do people say things like Jews are behind everything in the media? Why them specifically? Where did that come from?”
And she said her theory was “Well, since they experienced so much hatred and violence and persecution their entire lives, they became more secretive and reserved. Due to that, people started finding them weird and almost creepy, like they were conspiring, leading to them believing they are doing crazy shit, like being behind the media.”
And it really got me thinking. Why has it always been Jews? Why have Jews always, since the dawn of humanity, been the ones who have experienced so much hate and persecution?
Why then specifically. Like, why anyone, really. But the Jews just feel like such a specific group to target and hate. I know there’s a biblical explanation behind it, but I mean within history. Why has everyone hated them?
Why?
I can’t understand this.
The more I think about how horrible it is, the sadder I get. Hell, I’m kind of tearing up as of writing this because the thought is just horrible.
Like, you and Morgana and Shine and every other lovely Jew I have met on this site are so kind and wonderful people. I can’t understand why people, amazing and wonderful people like you guys, could be hated and abused for centuries for simply existing.
It’s horrible…
DISCLAIMER: I do not know enough about the subject, only a couple of articles, and a few classes in high school. this is not a replacement for studying, this is only what I know
tbh the answer is, sadly, Christianity, Islam, Nazism and the protocols.
let's start with Islam as it is simpler there: the Quran tells Muslims to kill all jews, to make everyone Muslim, and that judgement day will not come until the jews are dead. we were dhimmi (second class citizens) for the better part of the last millennia and a half, and jews lived in extreme conditions there.
Now the christian world. your mother is partially right, it has some to do with the separatist nature of jews: after the diaspora began (and even a bit before, when the unrest in Israel grew in the second temple period), judaism got even more separatist than it already was: no marrying outside the faith, stay in the community, you need so-and-so jews to do this and that and so forward. this led to jews living separately from the other people around them, which made them suspicious, this is probably the main reason that even after the fall of fundamental christianity, jews are still hunted in the modern world. that said, the tools and traditions of antisemitism are older, and are still in use
First, in the early days of christianity, it was common in catholic thinking that jews are collectively responsible for the death of Jesus of Nazareth, and that they should be punished for that sin.
Moreover, the Catholic Church has forbidden christians from handling money, and forbade jews from owning land (which is pretty difficult for being a farmer), while the jews had an extremely high literacy average compared to the rest of Europe (because unlike the christians who listened to sermons, jews had to learn the bible and debate it and understand it, while learning in the "Cheyder" (room, also the nickname for a rabbinic school)). this meant that jews were disproportionally attracted to jobs like banking, loaning, lawyering, entertainment, and any job that required literacy, but not land. This was good for the economic worries of the jews, but terrible for their position in society. jews were associated with the people who took your money wrongly, or helped to get you in jail, and made the animosity between jews and christians high. this is the origin of 2 famous conspiracy theories: jews control the world's economy, and jews control the world's media.
This is not mentioning the old libels, such as the blood libel (that jews use christian children's blood to bake matzah [I am certain that none of the people who say that know what a matzah is, it is a pale beige color, how could you hide blood in that?!]) or the well poisoning tale (that claimed that the reason for the Black Death was jews poisoning the water wells). these libels could have been applied to any minority, but jews were the scapegoat, starting a long tradition of similar libels (read the American leftist news, and you'd see the same stories everywhere, each time in a different costume).
Then the nazis came to power, and while drawing a lot from ancient antisemitism, they invented a lot of new stuff (IDK why Hitler chose the jews, but he did, and it was massive): jews were now irredeemable from birth, possessing inherent negative qualities that could be passed down through generations, stealing everything they claim to have invented, being inherently inferior to other germans, being communists (and capitalist) that plan to destroy the economy and get rich, betrayers who made Germany lose WW1, and many more stereotypes that keep on in the cultural memory
A bit later, in Russia, a document called "The protocols of the elders of Zion" was released (I don't know its history, I am sorry), and it is the backbone of every modern conspiracy, you know, the kind that goes "so-and-so" are a secret group of deep state actors trying to take over the world. this is the protocols. its ideas are embedded deep in the cultural understanding of all of us. if you believe in any conspiracy theory, the protocols will be a no-brainer.

🔮 Magic Info Part 1 🔮
Note: if you have any questions you want to be answered, please send them here: https://forms.gle/mHUTZhqvXmp2Cc1N6
-> Also I am answering everyone's questions, if your question isn't here, it will appear on the next Magic Info <3
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ Followers Questions *ੈ✩‧₊˚
Can you pls tell more about selling a soul? Like give us pls full info it’s so forbidden ik but yet so intriguing :
Like I have once said on the blog, I will not give you a full step to step on how “selling a soul” works. If it is forbidden and dangerous, it’s for something.  But I will try to tell you why you shouldn't do it and why you should stop obsessing over it. You can basically sell a soul to any entity (so not only demons and dark energies from the low astral, but also to angels or deities). Those are only made through very specific rituals, on certain dates, under certain circumstances, etc. Do it wrongly and the consequences suffered will be the same as dying through acid. Is selling a soul worth it? No. No matter what you ask for the entity what you will have to give is far more than what you can handle. Your life certainly but also the ones of people you love (after you have seen them suffer because of it). It doesn’t matter if it is an angel. When selling your soul you become a lifeless body and no reincarnation will be possible since your spirit will simply disappear.
Does every human have angels around them?
If we follow what is written in the Bible, Kabbalah or the Qur’an, God is with us all, and with it, so are the angels that are supposed to look over us and protect us from evil. I do believe that everyone has their own guardian angel out of the 72 written in the Kabbalah but I also believe that not everyone is connected to them due to spiritual guides that aren’t angels (spiritual guides can be human souls that have passed or haven’t incarnated, could be deities or spiritual being of the high astral). Some people will be a lot more in tune with spiritual guides instead of angels and that is okay. But if you ask me, yes I do believe that everyone has their own Angel (some even more than one) the same way they also have their opposite (low astral entity). Life is made out of balance. Light can only exist if there’s darkness.
My dog has been more clingy around me recently. Could this potentially be my dog's way of trying to protect my me/my energy from negative energy/spirits? Or could my dog be signaling to me that something is wrong with me/my body?
There are 4 reasons that can make a pet become more clingy all of a sudden. 1: there’s no reason, they are just seeking company: 2: their owner is indeed having a very low energy and they are trying their best to be by your side and raise your vibration higher (which the purr of a cat does very well); 3: the owner is feeling low or sick and the pet is trying to warn you about it; 4: it is the pet who is sick and trying to show you their low mood by being clingy.
I always wondered who actually came up with tarot cards and their meanings. The symbols like lovers, hermit, swords, wards etc. do they have any deeper meaning or is it just some sort of random thoughts:
This is a very interesting question because there are two answers to this. We got the “scientific” answer made by scholars and we have the “spiritual” made by the 14th-century occultists. For the scholars: Tarot were created in Italy in mid 15- century as a card game, that later was taken by “occultists” who made propaganda with it saying they were divination tools that had originated from ancient Egypt manuscripts, the Kabbalah, Indic Tantra and even the Ching which is a divination book made in China around 1000 BC.
The spiritual reference however states indeed that the tarot has power over the future because they originated during these periods but also because the Major Arcanas were the “high secrets of the world” that were contained in the King Solomon book. Alesteir Crowley, explains that a lot in his books and research.
One thing is certain, I believe that no matter the origin, Tarot has power. Even if it was not influenced by any pre-Christian society, they were still created by humans and for years there was power and manifestation given to the meanings in the cards, which with time stays.
What is your opinion on egyptian zodiac signs where every person is assigned one god/goddess?
Since I am not too much into Egyptian Mythology, I don’t know much about it, but I do find it interesting. Mostly because it shows how the greatest empires and societies (Egyptian, Greek, Chinese, Roman, Arab, Maya, Celtic, ect)  in our world still believed in astrology and lived their lives based on the stars. For anyone curious, this site says it all: https://belowthestars.com/egyptian-astrology/
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ Curiosities *ੈ✩‧₊˚
Seeing the dead: Contrary to popular knowledge, everyone is able to see dead people to a certain extend. It is known that only "mediums" are clearly able to connect, see and talk to the dead, but even with mediums, they aren't able to contact everyone. But why's that? why are there some that are more in tune with certain dead people and others not? while it all depends on your gifts that's for sure, but also on your own spiritual energy. Some people are able to see them but not talk to them. Others are able to hear them and not see them. Some are able to see and communicate with them through dreams and some even through divination tools. The spiritual world is vast and the knowledge we have of it, is very little.
Healing through magic: Remember that life is about balance. There are spells that exist that are able to help someone heal on certain things but when practicing it, remember that the diseases you are taking away need to be put somewhere else. If you aren't able to choose someone or if your values stop you from doing it, you need to be prepared for disease to stay around you and the people that you love and care for (animals included).
Graveyard dirt: It is a powerful and energetic ingredient for certain spells and rituals. But I definitely advise you not to use anything that deals with death (ingredients, such as dirt, bones, blood, dead people accessories) if you haven't been yourself close to death. The reverse effects will be just very hard to handle if you don't know what you are dealing with
Sigils: DON'T USE SIGILS THAT YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWER THEY HAVE! sigils are made through energy, when they are used, it's with intention. And, although your intuition is very important, using sigils that are used centuries ago without having a clue of what they are for, can be very dangerous. The same goes when you work with angels, demons or other deities, do not use their sigils. I won't be able to help you if you do.
Religion and Magic: Magic is seen through the eyes of religion as something made by the devil. I do believe that these beliefs are due to the monotheist religions that wanted to protrait it as the devil in other beliefs. Remember, plants and remedies are "magical" based. meds are just a scientific way to say "magical herbs". Remember that religion is something personal, and beliefs are something personal. Be connected to your high self, to your values, and practice whatever you feel comfortable with. Don't allow other people to tell you it's evil or wrong. If you feel at peace, that's the most important thing

The reason why Crowley has a better sense of wrong and right than Aziraphale (and all of angels and demons) is because he ate the fruit?
Hear me out
You know how despite being a demon Crowley has a much better moral compass than Aziraphale? I mean it’s no secret, it’s very visible e.g. during the Edinburgh minisode, the Ark scene and ofc the Apocalypse itself. He KNOWS what is the right thing to do or at least what definitely isn’t.
Aziraphale on the other hand is very much confused and mostly believes what he’s told to be the right thing. Of course that changes over time (I’m not gonna lie when I say mainly due to Crowley’s influence) but even after thousands of years he’s still much more confused than the demon. He doesn’t seem to have that sort of innate moral compass.
But the thing is, none of the angels (or demons) do, which may lead you to think that it’s an institutional problem. Which it partially is because the angels just weren’t designed to have that sort of knowledge. And neither were humans (canon Bible fact!) Do you see where I’m going?
Humans gained this „skill” through eating the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowing good and evil (or whatever it’s called). It’s very probable, to the levels where I would say almost certain, that Crowley also tasted said fruit and as a result he is the only one between angels and demons to know the difference between good and evil.

Chapter 4 Secret Boss Prediction
The chapter 4 secret boss was something I wasn't sure how to tackle. I'm fairly confident that Chapter 4 is gonna take place in the Church, and likely involve the Holidays (Noelle is listed as a main character, she's gonna show up again. Not to mention the stuff with her sister) But what in a Church would be abandoned? Cracked stained glass window? Too close to the shadow crystals. Some abandoned idol? Eh, alright but of what? A fallen angel or a false prophet? Now we're getting some where. Deltarune's religion seems very centered on Angels, and when it comes to the Dark World and Angels, there's something very VERY interesting considering stuff with the Roaring and the Angel's Heaven.
Anyways, taking that and a cool idea from @parakeetlover3 involving a crow and a broken ring, I came up with something. So without further ado, everyone meet Elymas (since that name seems to have taken the lead in the past couple hours.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Named after Elymas Bar-Jesus, a false prophet in the Bible who was blinded by Paul. The alternative name for them however was Doven, from Devon, which can mean divine, and dove, as their pre-corruption was inspired by a small, innocent dove.
Like I mentioned with Bitsy, I know these guys aren't gonna be anywhere close to what we actually get. No one knows Toby's mind except Toby. However these are just for fun and so I can have some funny interactions with the Junior Secret Squad and Spamton and Jevil. As well, I can find some where to put them in Fool's Fate as part of the second group of Darkners Gaster the strange someone drive to insanity. Along with Dorothy and Poly (who I know I haven't talked about at all here)
Anyways, backstory time under the cut!
Elymas was once the purest and most pious little seraphim Darkner. Not often noticed too often despite their rank, yet still a beloved and loyal follower of the Bishop and their teachings.
That was until, Elymas came across someone or something who made them question their faith. They met a man. A strange someone who tempted them with knowledge and truths about their world. Knowledge that the Angel was dead and the Bishop was a liar. The truth that their existence was nothing but a game and ultimately meaningless. The strange someone offered Elymas salvation and freedom from such a fate, and they believed it completely.
They had bitten the forbidden fruit and were now tainted by its sin but they didn't care. The forbidden fruit tasted good. This knowledge, this freedom, they craved it. Worshipped it.
Elymas determined that since Bishop was a liar, that they were the only right and true prophet, and so tried to amass a cult of believers in them and freedom the strange man had told them about. Of course, no one believed them. The man only reveals himself to a cult of a small chosen few. Still, the Bishop couldn't have a fanatic seraphim spewing rhetoric which would make them look bad, and thus... Elymas was cast out. Falling from grace and into the deeper, darker, darkness.
Until a fountain is opened in the Church in Hometown...

The Department
The Department Susan Cathleen Powell, 2019
-----
Sabrina Hawthorne is a fellow enthusiast of rare RPGs. She's the one who actually found a write-up of The Revolution by a GM for a table of players who didn't want to read the whole thing. We originally met at a mini-golf course, of all places (fuck you, windmill), and ended up chatting about mechanics in card-based games. When she told me about this one I knew it was a perfect fit for the blog and invited her to write a guest post. Here it is!
----
You know the SCP wiki? You know those articles that dive super far into the deep history, where characters straight out of the Hebrew Bible use arcane orbital lasers to wage a planet-wide war on mutant flesh monsters, and bigfoot is there too?
The Department is one of those, in the form of a hack for The Quiet Year.
You play as the board of directors for the titular Department, who are the SCP foundation in all but name. Your researchers have come across an anomalous archaeological dig site, and it’s your job to guide the organization to learn as much as they can about it – and the secret world history it’s a part of - before it’s destroyed by the vague sleeping horror that you disturbed when the site broke ground.
For the most part, the game runs the same as The Quiet Year, but with spookier and more bureaucratic flavor text. There’s a phase at the end of each round called a Board Meeting that’s a bare bones hidden role board game that doesn’t really feel as scheme-y or capitalistic as it wants to, but other than that it runs smoothly.
The real life of the party is the Countdown mechanic. Whenever a player draws an Ace of any suit from the deck, the Countdown advances, causing more strange occurrences and anomalous dangers to crop up around the dig site. When the last Ace is drawn, the game ends, and players are strictly forbidden to tie up any loose ends that their improvised story left hanging. And since in this one you pull from a combined deck of 52, those aces can come randomly at any time.
There isn’t any art in The Department, which makes sense. It’s 12 pages, and it’s only that long because of a very thorough section on consent and safety tools. Nonetheless, it’s packed with exactly the kind of style that this game needs. The front and back covers look like a manila folder, and the whole thing looks like a partially declassified government document.
Susan Powell apparently sold a few of her games through her onlyfans page, alongside more of what you might expect of an onlyfans page. I got my copy from a friend though, and I haven’t been able to track Susan down anywhere on the internet.

Fumito Ueda was inspired by… Gustave Doré's illustrations for La Grande Bible de Tours (1866).
I already knew that Shadow of the Colossus featured things from Genesis - the secret garden with its forbidden fruit (Garden of Eden) and Dormin is Nimrod spelled backwards (Nimrod was killed by Shem who scattered his body parts across the land of Shinar as a warning against idolatry). Is Lord Emon based on Shem? Do Wander's actions that cause Dormin to be resurrected amount to a sort of original sin?
@easternmind identified Gustave Doré's Bible illustrations on Fumito Ueda's shelf in this post, so I had a look at them, particularly the first 41 that are for Genesis and Exodus. The engravings show dramatic, awe-inspiring and destructive scenes in epic landscapes, which describes the look of Shadow of the Colossus pretty well. The ones that jumped out at me though were of Moses in the Bulrushes, and they did so for seeming like a story influence for Ico.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The story from Exodus goes that Pharaoh put out an order for all male Hebrew babies to be drowned in the Nile, so Moses' mother placed him in an ark and concealed it in the bulrushes by the riverbank. The baby was discovered and adopted by Pharaoh's daughter, and raised as an Egyptian. Apparently, there's also a similar story in Genesis that involves Nimrod. Nimrod fears the birth of Abraham who will be his downfall so he too orders the killing of all newborn babies. Nimrod and Pharaoh are both archetypal cruel and persecuting kings with stories that seem to be reworking some of the same ideas. In Ico, the Queen is killing horned boys and where Moses was placed in his little boat by his mother and then retrieved from it by Pharaoh's daughter, Ico is placed in his little boat by the Queen's daughter. Is the Queen killing all horned boys because she believes that Wander’s descendants are dangerous to her? Is Ico perhaps a prophesied saviour archetype, similar to Moses and Abraham? Children are also taken in The Last Guardian where they are a source of energy/power.
I had another look at Jacob Geller's video essay called The Decade-Long Quest For Shadow of the Colossus’ Last Secret and spotted a Doré Bible Illustration for Isaiah called 'The Destruction of Leviathan' that's very reminiscent of Hyrdus.
Tumblr media
I'm sure that many of my observations were made 15 plus years ago by people like Ascadia whose quest to understand Shadow of the Colossus is at the heart of Jacob Geller's video. If you watch the video, make sure you read the pinned comment below it - Ascadia's cousin shares the sad news that Ascadia died very young in 2018. Well done him for doing such good work analysing Ueda's masterpieces.

Gilbert Williams, The Vortex (1982)
* * *
The Teachings of the Adepts, part II
“There is an invisible universe within the visible one, a world of causes within the world of effects. There is force within matter, and the two are one, and are dependent for their existence on a third, which is the mysterious cause of their existence. There is a world of soul within a world of matter, and the two are one, and caused by the world of spirit. And within these worlds are other worlds, visible and invisible ones. Some are known to modern science, of others she does not even know that they exist; for, as the material worlds of suns and planets and stars, the worlds of animate and inanimate beings, from man the lord of creation down to the microscopic world with its countless inhabitants, can only be seen by him who is in the possession of the powers necessary for their perception, likewise the world of the soul and the realms of the spirit can only be known to him whose inner senses are awakened to life. The things of the body are seen through the instrumentality of the body, but the things of the soul require the power of spiritual perception.
This power of spiritual perception, potentially contained in every man, but developed in few, is almost unknown to the guardians of science in our modern civilization, because learning is often separated from wisdom, and the calculating intellect seeking for worms in the dark caverns of the earth cannot see the genius that floats towards the light and it cannot realize his existence. And yet this ancient science, which the moderns ignore, is perhaps as old as the world. It was known to the ancient prophets, to the Arhats and Rishis of the East, to initiated Brahmins, Egyptians, and Greeks. Its fundamental doctrines are found in the Vedas as well as in the Bible. Upon these doctrines rest the fundaments of the religions of the world. They formed the essence of the secrets that were revealed only to the initiated in the inner temple where the ancient mysteries were taught, and whose disclosure to the vulgar was forbidden under the penalty of torture and death. They were the secrets known to the ancient sages and to the Adepts and Rosicrucians of the Middle Ages, and upon a partial understanding of their truths rests the system of modern Freemasonry.”

Devotional Hours Within the Bible
Tumblr media
by James Russell Miller
Almsgiving and Prayer (Matthew 6:1-15)
It was characteristic of the Pharisees in our Lord’s time, that they sought publicity and display for their religious acts. They made their prayers in as conspicuous a way as possible, so that the people would observe them, mark their ‘devoutness’ and be impressed with their fervor and their earnestness. This was one thing in which the disciples of Jesus were told that their religion must differ from that of the scribes and Pharisees.
“Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them.” This does not mean that they were not to be godly before people they were to live righteously everywhere. There are many Divine words bidding us to be careful of our conduct in the presence of others. Jesus Himself in this same Sermon said, “So let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father.” We are to live all the while so that we shall be blameless, that those watching us, to find fault, shall have no reason for speaking against us. We are to show always to all men, an example which shall honor Christ.
What is forbidden, is that we do our ‘acts of righteousness’ before others, in order to be seen by them. We are to live for the eye of God, to get His praise. Some of those who professed great devoutness in Christ’s time, making much show of piety in the presence of men, were in their inner life cruel, unmerciful, grasping and unholy. The lesson Jesus taught, was lowly humility, devoutness of heart, a goodness which did nothing for display but was always and everywhere true, faithful, genuine, thinking only of pleasing God.
One special example in illustration of the lesson Jesus gives, is regarding the giving of alms. It was the custom of some of the people in those days to give their alms very ostentatiously. If they did not literally sound a trumpet, announcing their gifts, they at least let all people know that they were contributing to the poor and how much they were contributing. They wanted praise for their generosity. The motive was, not to relive distress but “to be honored by men.” Jesus says they have received their reward in full. That is, they had the name of being charitable. Their deeds were known and talked about. They did not give their alms to please God, or because they cared for the poor and so they had no honor from God, and no love from men as their reward.
Jesus teaches in contrast, in a very emphatic way, the true manner of giving alms. “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” The lesson would seem to be, that our doing good to others should be, as far as possible, absolutely in secret. When others need our help in their distress, we are not to withhold it but we are not to tell others of what we do. We are even, as it were, not to let ourselves know of it. We are to give out of love, to those who need to be helped, not humiliating them by making a spectacle of our kindness. Our giving, too, is to be only for the eye of God. Then He will reward us and recompense us.
The lesson is applied still further to prayer. “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men.” They do not pray to God at all, and their real desire is to have men think they are very devout. They have their reward that is, they get what they seek for: men see them. We all need to guard against the performance of our acts of devotion, for men’s eyes and not for God’s.
Jesus does not mean to teach that we are never to pray in the presence of others. Public prayer is a duty. What He is pressing is that we are not to do any religious act to have men see us, and think us devout. We are to pray to God only and our prayer will receive His answer of love and grace. In all our life of love and service, the same rule should be observed. We should never seek honor for anything we do. We should shrink from praise and publicity. To show consciousness of our goodness, and any worthy service we have done is a blemish. We should hide away rather from praise of men.
Florence Nightingale, having gone like an angel of mercy among the hospitals in the Crimea until her name was enshrined deep in every soldier’s heart, asked to be excused from having her picture taken, as thousands begged her to do, that she might drop out and be forgotten, and that Christ alone might be remembered as the author of the blessings which her hand had distributed in His name.
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.” The Pharisees chose public places as their place of private devotion. They wanted people to see how devout they were. Jesus bids us to guard against all such display of our religion. He teaches here also the duty of secret prayer. We are to go away alone other people about us disturb our thoughts. Then we are to shut the door to keep out all the world, that we may be entirely alone with God. He alone is to hear us when we pray, and in Him alone must our dependence be. No one can afford to leave daily secret prayer out of his life. Jesus went often alone to meet with God.
The form of prayer which Jesus gave His disciples, was not meant as the only prayer they were ever to use but as showing the spirit in which they should pray and the scope of their requests.
“Our Father in heaven.” This is the golden gate of prayer. If we enter the temple at all we must enter it as God’s children. Of what open and loving access the name Father assures us. We know that He to whom we speak has a father’s heart, a father’s gentleness; a father’s yearning for his child. A true earthly parent withholds from his child nothing that is good, so far as his ability goes. God withholds from Him children nothing that is really good. We should learn also from a little child how to pray to God. We should come to Him in simplicity, with childlike confidence, with unquestioning trust, with yearning love.
“Hallowed be Your name.” To hallow is to honor, to make holy. If we pray this prayer sincerely, we will hallow the Divine name in our own heart, we will pray with reverence and love. Christian people sometimes grow very careless in speaking of God. They become so accustomed to using His sacred name in prayer and conversation, that they utter it lightly, as if it were the name of some familiar friend. A miner with black, grimy hand plucks a pure flower from the stem. It seems almost a profanation to touch that beautiful flower with the soiled fingers. But what shall we say to our taking on our unclean lips, the holy name of God? We should learn to hallow this blessed name in our speech. Then we should hallow it in our life. We are God’s children and we bear His name. We must take heed that in every act of ours, in our behavior, in our whole character and influence, we should live so that all who see us shall see in us something of the beauty of God.
“May Your kingdom come.” God’s kingdom is where God is king. In praying this petition, we are to think first of our own heart. The one place we can surrender to God, is our own life. We cannot surrender our neighbor’s heart to God. A mother cannot make God king in the heart of her child. But each one of us is master in his own life and can choose who shall rule in it. In praying “May Your kingdom come,” our prayer means nothing at all if it does not first of all invite the Divine King to become our king, to rule in us. Then the prayer widens, and we ask God to set up His kingdom in our home, in community, then over the whole world.
“May Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Some people always quote this petition, as if it meant only submission to some painful providence, as if God’s will were always something terrible. They suppose it refers only to losing friends or money, to adversity or calamity, or to being sick or in some trouble. But this is only a little part of its meaning. It is for the doing of God’s will, not the suffering of it, that we here pray. Our desire should be always to let God’s will be done by us and in us. It is easier, however, to make prayers like this for other people, than for ourselves. We all think others ought to do God’s will, and we do not find it a difficult prayer to make that they may do so. But if we offer the petition sincerely, it is a prayer that we ourselves may do God’s will, as it is done in heaven. We can pray it, therefore, only when we are ready for implicit, unquestioning obedience.
Then it may sometimes it does mean the giving up of a sweet joy, the losing of a gracious friend, the sacrifice of some dear presence, the going in some way of thorns and tears. We should learn always to make the prayer, and then hold our life close to the Divine will, never rebelling, nor murmuring but sweetly doing or bearing what God gives us to do or bear.
“Give us this day our daily bread.” This seems a small thing to ask. Why are we not taught to pray for bread enough to last a week, a month, or a year? It seems for one thing, that Jesus wanted to teach here the lesson of continual dependence. He taught us to come to God each morning with a request simply for the day’s food, that we might never feel that we can get along without Him even for one little day. Another lesson He wanted to teach us, was that we should live by the day. We are not to be anxious about tomorrow’s needs we are to think only today’s. When tomorrow comes, it will be right to seek provision for it and to take up its cares and duties.
“Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.” The first part of this petition is not hard to pray. But the second part is not so easy. When someone has done us an injury and we are feeling bitter and resentful over it it is not easy to ask God to forgive us as we forgive others. Perhaps we do not forgive at all but keep the bitter feeling against our brother in our heart; what is it then that we ask God to do for us when we pray, “Forgive us as we forgive?” God has linked blessing and duty together in this petition, in an inseparable way. If we will not forgive those who have wronged us, it is evident that we have not the true spirit of repentance to which God will grant remission of sins.
“Bring us not into temptation.” We ought never to seek any way in which we shall have to meet temptation. Temptation is too terrible an experience, fraught with too much peril, ever to be sought by us or encountered, save when God leads us in the path in which it lies. So if we make this prayer, we must go only where duty clearly calls us. If we meet temptation there, God will keep us from evil.

I already wrote my farmer's backstory in great detail but now I feel like changing it due to mods 😭
The more I play with my current mods the more I imagine Thad moving to the valley to mess around with magic, make weird art, animating his inventions and constantly getting drunk. Not even inheriting the farm, just buying a huge amount of land to hide from the Ministry the world and try what looks like multiple branches of probably forbidden magic. And drink unholy amount of coffee... and alcohol... and probably drugs too at this point.
All while writing books on a huge variety of subjects, including apparently "stargazing in bygone civilizations", cleaning guides and guides about growing orchids. And drawing naked people. And sewing adorable plushies.
And creating artificial souls to give life to the toys made by him.
His biggest achievement throughout the first spring was growing a giant potato. That he put a tapper on for infinite potato juice. That was before that interview with the farming newspaper you get at the beginning of the game. So the giant potato was definitely a part of that interview. This save is pure chaos 🙃
Edit: He might or might have been responsible for the death of a coworker and he stealed the secret Joja recipe for Joja Cola when he left his job😭Industrial espionage gets mentioned...
He can write the Stardew's equivalent of the Bible, why? Does he plan to start a cult!?
