On Sunday, March 24, 2019, Maya and I both decided we wanted to be "official". Thereby, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. Since that day, my love life has been everything I have ever hoped for, dreamed of, and then even more. #relationshipgoals This is the longest I have ever dated someone and I do not take for granted a single moment I get to spend with the most beautiful specimen I have ever encountered, in all of the earth. #itsouranniversary These past 4 years have been the best ever, just because I have her by my side. Words cannot express how great it is to just have Maya around to experience life together. It is great to know that I have such an amazing friend, such a great confidant, and just a great partner. #ouranniversary God writes the greatest love stories of all time. I am just so blessed to be finally living and experiencing mine. I pray in Jesus name that Maya and I have at least 150 more years together, here on this earth. For it would be truly a blessing and an honor if we both could experience both of us accomplishing all of our goals and fulfilling all of our dreams together. #ourspecialday I pray that things only go up from here for both Maya and me. How about attending a marriage-enrichment weekend?.. Decide what would be profitable, and make time to do the important. I say “make time” because if you don’t put it into your schedule, it won’t happen.. Saying yes to the important may mean saying no to the less important!..For example, setting aside a daily time for the two of you to talk uninterrupted may require that you give up a thirty-minute television program each night.. A weekly date night may require that you eliminate something from your budget to have money for a babysitter. If it’s important, you can make it happen...The passage above from Ephesians 5 encourages us to be wise in how we use our limited time, and to make the best use of it..Time and money are your assets..You must manage them well in order to accomplish the important..No one else will do it for you. Only you can take control of your life and see that you actually do what you believe you ought to do... . Lord God, it’s so easy for me to get stuck in the way I usually do things and to forget about the really important things. Love of my life. Always going places. Praying you up as you do what you’re called to do. . I would be lying to you if I didn’t share that when Michael works overseas for extended periods in time, I’m filled with an immediate void of what feels like a deep loneliness. Usually when he’s out for two or more weeks. . This is when I find myself feeling completely and utterly alone. Before meeting Michael I was a super independent woman surrounded with tons of strong community and family because I had never been with someone prior to Michael I had no sense of becoming one with another human being. Thus, whether he was in the picture or not it didn’t affect me. . But now that the two of us have become a unit, I understand why it can feel this way the moment he’s away. . It has taken me a while but I have now come to see this as a sweet opportunity to draw closer to the Lord. It is when I find myself praying for him, his work, his mission to further the truth and love of God to unreached people groups that I feel closest to Michael. It’s as if I’m with him throughout the entire trip . . As I pray for God to give him grace and favor with others, to excel in his work, to keep advancing and enduring, to guide his every step, it is then I actually feel the most connected with God and Michael, simultaneously. .
