Okay Genshin 4.1 thoughts dump because if I don't compile my thoughts somewhere I will literally implode. Anyways, spoilers for the Fontaine Archon Quest so far (as of Chapter 4, the Version 4.1 update) under the Read More (a couple paragraphs under, but you catch my drift)

So. Something I have always absolutely adored about Genshin's storytelling is the way it goes about presenting its gods as "Human too"...

At first, it was seen painfully obvious through Ei and her incredibly human response to grief and trauma (a lot of people thought she was being unreasonable, and yeah for a ruler of an entire nation, closing yourself off to the outside world certainly seems - and is - irresponsible. And then... you consider how easily any other normal person would have done the same thing, if not worse, if they had lost nearly everyone they loved in quick succession, while also being personally responsible for a handful of those deaths).

And upon further reflection on the topic, you can see blatant traces of it present in every archon. And I don't just mean their trying to blend into/ further their understanding of humans, human society, and human nature.

I mean, Venti is kinda hedonistic and aloof; Zhongli wasn't always as wise and so intricately-versed in his knowledge about so many things - before the Archon War, he was more of a brute who preferred to solve things head-on (literally) as opposed to thinking things through; Nahida- oh don't even get me started on Nahida. Her self-doubt and insecurity as a result of facing constant beratement and feelings of inferiority to Rukkhadevata; her constant desire to learn more (both for her namesake as the God of Wisdom, to prove herself, and for her own curiosity's sake); her child-like nature (as a result of her research and human observation ofc!!! but still adorable none-the-less; I mean "dook-dook" !?! come on!)...

But now with Furina, oh. I think we've entered a BRAND NEW level and it's part of the reason why I absolutely love her so much.

In classic good-story-telling practice, Genshin achieves all of this through "show-not-tell" and it's world-class ability of characterizing its characters (IN MY OPINION ! I love them so much, okay?). And from the second I MET this girl to the very last line of 4.1's archon quest, it has been made painfully abundant to me that

Furina is just a child.

She has. NO IDEA what she's doing!!! Now, the underlying reasons for this have yet to be seen, and will most likely be tackled in the very next Archon Quest chapter, but if you'll allow me to speculate right now... Knowing that Egeria also conducted trials for citizens who broke the law (meaning she should have also been a God of Justice), I believe whole-heartedly that it was her who built the entire system Furina and Neuvillette are running right now. Meaning, I'm confident Furina has absolutely nothing to do with it. The ONLY (and I think I truly mean ONLY) thing Furina did in the time since she inherited the role was: change the perception of what justice and its deliverance should be into something a lot more akin to a dramatic play, only enacted for people's enjoyment.

Which includes her lack of knowledge on the Oratrice. Furina didn't create it. How could she? She's so utterly ignorant on what it is, how it works, and dare I say what it's truly even for.

The moment I read this statement I convinced myself that it had to have been the previous Hydro Archon. And while I concede that: looking back on the wording of this statement now, it seems like its existence would only be beneficial under someone like Furina's ruling… But, I'm willing to just chalk that up to "Egeria had great future-sight" (or something more along the lines of: she trusted the machine to help keep her in check so false charges were less likely; and it just so happens that its decision making is carrying the court system now under Furina’s rule).

Like many things related to Fontaine's history, it would seem, Egeria being solely responsible for the creation of all these staple facilities and aspects of the nation's inner workings would shed light on why Furina is so unknowing. She had nothing to do with it. And while I'm no envoy from Celestia, so I have no insight as to what the hell happens when a new Archon is born to fill in the void that was left, I think that whatever that process is (IF THERE EVEN IS ONE) went completely awry for Furina. She probably didn't even inherit the Gnosis - ever ! I'm thinking it's stuffed into the Oratrice somehow/somewhere. I'm thinking the "curse" Arlecchino sensed has something to do with that process of inheritance (or... lack thereof) going so wrong.

It’s obvious that Furina is running from something. Ignoring something. Distracting herself from the realities of the world with the “spectacle of the courtroom” (as Dain put it). And it’d be easy to just chalk it up to her being a little bitch with no deeper meaning but I don’t think that’s it.

Genshin doesn’t make it gods “just human”. They spend their time trying to prove that they’re “Human too”.

The underlying reasons for it have to lie in whatever happened when Furina was born. Cursed. Whether it was a curse to end up alone (as per the prophecy), or to never obtain the powers becoming of a god in this world... Whatever happened, it overwhelmed Furina to an unbearable degree, and naturally, like any Human would... she resorted to escapism. She found entertainment in the trials headed at the court room, realized she could make people like her by being this mascot of justice, and upon learning that it's only a matter of time before all of her subjects turn into puddles and she'll be left all alone… she decided to just- NOT think about it!! Who would?! That is a horrifying! revelation.

THAT is why she's so scared to fight - literally anyone!! She doesn’t have the power (and if she does she’s never had to use it).

THAT is why she’s turned out this way - a brat with very little humility, never knowing when to stop the act - because for centuries she’s lived in this little Lala-Land of a bubble denying the inevitable. A fate she was cursed with from the moment she inherited the title of “God”. She wasn’t really given powers, she wasn’t given dominion, and she most certainly hasn’t received instruction, or… ANY!?! HELP!! it seems, in understanding what it means to be an Archon (perhaps even in spite of those other perks she was “supposed” to receive.)

Born to be a god, yet being set up to suffer the loss of your entire people with almost no power to change it? That would fuck anyone up, even an Archon.

And it’s the way that they’ve shown how it’s fucked with Furina that blows my mind.

She’s so disconnected that Arle’s assassination attempt shocked her to her core. She’s a GOD!! Who would try to assassinate her (aside from the Fatui)!? She’s never had to even perceive the notion of being a target of something like that. Stack that on top of her general sense of helplessness in the greater context of what’s happening to her nation, and it makes sense that she broke down crying later that night... :(

so!! let's talk about why sunna picked rin as her " champion. "

bc she's annoying :/ ASDFG that's like a tiny part of it, but the biggest thing is the fact that rin met certain criteria that sunna was looking for. she knew about king edmund's actions and plans -- ofc she did. and she knew that if there was ever a time to meddle in mortal affairs again, it would be now, so she watched and waited and observed.

the thing is, sunna can only interact with the mortal plane in certain situations at the moment. as a goddess of creation, life, and rebirth, those situations need to involve one of those three things, and the first two were out of the question if she was going to help the people soon. and they needed help soon, or the king would surely overtake the kingdoms, lead them into ruin.

so she just needed to wait for the right person to die.

her attention remained on anywhere king edmund directed his undead, watching for brave souls who wouldn't falter in the face of danger, who could inspire others to stand their ground as well. rin met both of those criteria. that wasn't her own village, so she could have ran with eva. she held no obligation to defend it or the people. still, she stayed and gathered the villagers, sent away the children and elderly, fought for the people and prayed for them.

she also cursed the gods in the same breath, but that just made sunna smile and go oh : ) you : ) you'll do wonderfully : ) bc tbh, she cared a lot more that rin was outraged by what the villagers and eva were going through than the respect. anyone will respect a god. not everyone will respect the common folk. not everyone will value them, and sunna wanted a champion who would.

so!! she revives rin, allows her a rebirth and grants the elf her blessing. rin is still unaware of sunna's reason for choosing her, but i might?? have them meet at some point... perhaps asdfg

before i leave for school today i want to say something: i think a point that a lot of myth nerd people miss is that at the end of the day it doesn't matter what you want to label achilles and patroclus' relationship as because it will always be fundamentally queer. these are two men who love each other so intensely one is willing to risk his own life to protect the other one's glory and reputation and the other one is willing to sacrifice his godlyhood and immortality to avenge the other's death. their love for each other breaks almost everything that the people expected from heroes and demigods as we see in plato's symposium -- achilles killing hector and not caring that it meant he had basically been reduced to any other mortal person is the most shocking part of it all, even for the people back then, since he's been fighting to maintain his glory and honor for so long, for the entire iliad in fact, but is willing to throw it all into the air the exact moment his beloved patroclus is killed. it doesn't matter if what they felt for each other was platonic, familial, queerplatonic or romantic, the story in itself is queer in its very roots and has always resonated with the lgbtq community and to try and make it seem like we are foolish for thinking of them as lovers is to disregard the importance that their story has to all of us.

ok so I recently finished the toa series, and lEMME TELL YA I HAVE NEVER CRIED SM WHILE READING A SERIES OK? LIKE I ONLY TEARED UP A LIL IN THE FIRST BOOK, BUT I WAS FULL ON SOBBING IN SOME PARTS BY THE LAST BOOK. anyways here are some head canons to ease my misery

Apollo visits all his friends at least once a month

The gods only actually started looking at how Apollo was doing after he almost died from that poisoned cut he go in the tyrants tomb so they didn't rlly know what happened during his trials

So they were actually rlly concerned when they learned of all that happened

Hera became slightly nicer to Apollo and zeus' children after seeing that Zeus deadass does not care abt them

Apollo hating himself

Meg sometimed turns to tell Apollo smth and then remembers he's not there

Shit these are kinda depressing

Apollo getting terrified when Zeus gets angry even if it's not directed at him

Irene as a character i find more interesting and with SO SO many things i can work with and create new things with.

ill say with how ive written her, ive made her have a more tragic and more realistic depiction of godlyhood and the mental toll and stress it can bring on someone, so worshipped within the eyes of those who look for her blessing, as they all see this perfect, flawless, forgiving and beautiful goddess

when really irene isnt perfect, shes not even flawless either, irene is a complex living being that was made from pure magick and to look like the mortals she was to look over as the matron that she is, but truely beyond that irene was made to be a person, with her own thoughts, feelings, and opinions, and for her to be her own person, she has to make mistakes, small or big, people make mistakes, but...sadly when others who don't see you as a person and instead as

a...GOD...it can make you feel so different, so disconnected, so...alone...so..feared...

further into irenes backstory, i do plan to show how her being a made person with feelings and emotions, especially heavy and confusing ones AND also with having god like abilites, can make her seem almost fragile, like cracks spreading through out a porcelain bird

and woah when she finally, well..breaks..from everything that i have planned to happen to her, it is very much a figurative and litteral thing that happens.

I found this really cool since as, i said shes made from pure magick, which she took the form of something more human, but her showing litteral cracks around her body, like shes falling apart or...losing herself, is really neat to think about character design wise!

Hercules au with Solangelo pt1

I made some movie changes for this au cuz I can :)

- Zeus was mad at Apollo so he tried to have Will killed but someone flubbed the job and Will became a demigod.

- Hades is sorta evil? I mean is it evil if he’s trying to take down his villainous brother Zeus ?😗

- Nico is Hades son but he sells his soul to his father to save the life of Percy who didn’t return Nico’s feelings leaving Nico heartbroken and never wanting to fall in love again

- Will trying to be a true hero is not based on Apollo’s opinions who would rather grant his son immortality than put him through trials

- Will’s whole hero debacle is him trying to impress Zeus enough that Zeus will grant him immortality

- Hades has Nico befriend Will to find his weakness but Will ends up falling for Nico instead (not their plan but it worked out for Hades)

- Hades used Nico to get Will to give up his powers before revealing Nico as his son breaking Wills heart for the betrayal

- Will saves Zeus from Hades with the help of Nico doing his best to persuade Hades into being good (which he doesn’t do)

- Zeus banishes Hades to the underworld for good and reluctantly grants Will godlyhood

- Will denies it to be with Nico.

- Hades tries to be a better and less evil so Nico

The Red Light (Episode 12)

Dante receives a cloak from Typhon with a note instructing stealth. He reads a letter from Typhon detailing Mercury's worsening condition and a new task regarding Alos's office. Dante attends class and befriends Nedrigo, who shares insights about Typhon and Mercury. Despite Dante's unease, he invites Nedrigo to his dorm. Later, Dante informs Nolan and Floyd about Nedrigo joining their group. Though unsure of Typhon's response, Dante is willing to proceed.

The next morning, Dante woke up. As he rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the exhaustion, he remembered the box on his dresser. Dante reached over and plucked off the lid. A small note covered what seemed to be a cloak. It was a small note but it said: "Pass without a trace. Quiets your footsteps."

Dante should have been happy. He should have been excited to receive a gift from Typhon, but he wasn't. He slipped the cloak into his bag and sat up. He'd have to attend class today. So Dante stood up and got ready for the day, looking at himself in the mirror for just a bit longer, examining his features. His hand traced his jawline, the same as his father's, and adjusted his hair, tugging at the hairline, Typhon's hairline. But what Typhon didn't have was Dante's white hair. Typhon had black short hair, usually groomed back but not slicked, where Dante had long white hair, normally kept up in a ponytail. Dante reminded himself of the difference repeatedly. Ein had struck down into Dante's heart when he'd said he was becoming Typhon. It scared him.

Dante took time with his morning routine but once he'd finished, he finally plucked the letter from his desk that Typhon had left him.

"Good morning, Dante. This letter is a long one, but there is a lot to cover. I have an update, unfortunately, on Mercury’s condition though today I have reason to tell you this. As I said yesterday the condition has gotten worse. The aquamarine does not seem to be taking the pain away as it had before, nor does it seem to be putting him to sleep which was the only way for that to happen. I think that something might have gone wrong as he has lost all pigmentation and I do not have a reason as to why. Though I have been with him, I have to very briefly leave to speak with someone in a few days and I don't know if you'll be back in time. I do have reason to be telling you this of course, there is one more thing beside Alos's murder that I need you to do. I do not believe you guys went all the way into Alos's office as there are actions required to make it all the way in there. Axom has a wide range of, let's call them, *holy symbols* and I need you to abuse that. Along with this letter are two different variations of *holy symbols* but they're not Inchor's, the blood god. The *holy symbols* are mine. We can talk about it if you're curious when you return, however now is not the time to discuss godlyhood…"

Godlyhood? Dante stopped halfway through the paper and read the sentence over and over, as though if he saw it enough times, it would change. Typhon drip fed information about himself. As Dante read over the pages he realized he only knew the bare minimum about him. He knew his name, but only parts. As Dante thought, he realized, in war normally a last name is plastered all over everything but Typhon only ever used his first name. Dante didn't know his own last name!

Dante thought about what Ein said, that Typhon was lying to him and how he knew so little about him. Ein was right about at least half of it. Dante put his head in his hands, sliding the letter beside him and taking a moment to breathe. When Dante talked to Typhon next, it would be nothing but questions. Questions Nolan and that special eye would be present for.

After taking a few seconds to breathe, Dante took the letter in his hands and continued to read.

"You should be able to get down to Alos's office and cover it with blood just as you did with Axom’s journal beforehand. Though Dante I don't believe yours will work, I'm afraid that because of you being a part of my bloodline that you will not be able to do it, however you are traveling with a group, make them be of use. When you do get in there, drenched most likely in blood will be something resembling a heart, a real one, not the shape. I need you to bring it back to me as soon as possible. Good luck and remember if you're in trouble send me the Raven and I'll think of something. -Typhon."

Dante sighed and shoved the paper in his pocket. His classes had started already and the other two had no doubt left without him. Dante was fine with that though. The more silence, the better.

A few minutes later, Dante made it to a history class and laughed as he entered. Scrawled across the board were details of a war he had fought in. This would be an easy class, even if he was only there for a few days. Dante sat in a seat at the back and noticed a man looking at him.

The man looked friendly enough to not unnerve Dante when he sat next to him. Blue-ish skin and scruffy brown hair surrounding horns nearly the same color that pulled towards the back of his head. A small was plastered across his face when he sat down.

"You're new here, I haven't seen you," said the man. "I know everyone here and you're not one of them. I'm Nedrigo, what about you?"

Suddenly an idea pushed to the forefront of his mind. If he could get a student who knew all about Axom to join him, he'd have a new well of knowledge for Typhon to pick apart. But that requires betraying Axom.

"Dante. So, what do you think of all of this stuff? Are we talking about Typhon yet? I mean, his name is on the board," Dante gestured to Typhon's name scribbled across the board with a large number written underneath it.

"Yeah, we've had an entire unit on just him. He's impossibly cool. Like, to study. But he's long gone. I mean, the guy was responsible for the most deaths during the war and he had these dogs that weren't like dogs. They were massive! I think the Gods just liked him."

Dante took note of the comment about dogs, another thing to ask Typhon. "If Typhon was alive, would you work with him? To study him, maybe?"

"I mean, I wouldn't kill anyone for him but I would," Nedrigo looked confused, cartoon-ishly so, but he kept a smile.

Dante joined in the smiling, a thin and long grin. A smile like his father's. The face read happy but his eyes read Wrath. "Hey, after class, wanna go to my dorm? To help me catch up since I just got here."

The man shrugged and leaned back in his chair. A small chuckle came through as he spoke, "Why not? I think I still have most of the notes. Especially about Typhon. He's odd enough to enjoy studying. I mean, his old second-in-command became one if Axom's big names. And his new one is a twink! Like, have you seen the pictures of Mercury? He's curved like an hourglass. And I can say that, I'm straight enough to say that."

All Dante gave back in return was a nervous chuckle. He'd certainly gotten a good one to join him but maybe he was a little too… enthusiastic.

Despite Dante's sudden unease, Nedrigo kept going. "They found letters talking about how Mercury even got to work for Typhon. He was a bartender in a casino! And by how all over the place his letters were, he's hyper too. He went from slinging drinks to slinging guns. And have you seen his magic?"

Nedrigo had said it rhetorically but Dante hadn't seen Mercury fight. Every time he'd seen Mercury he was with Typhon, there was no need to use magic. "No, I haven't."

Nedrigo's jaw dropped, he was baffled. "How? He throws cards like daggers! Typhon apparently gave him the magic when he started working for him. I don't know how. That's just what his letters said. If I could somehow meet him, I'd love to have a game of blackjack with him. If it weren't for Typhon's ex-wife, I'd have said they'd make a great power couple."

"Ex-wife?" Dante felt so confused.

"Wow, you really do need the notes. You know nothing about Typhon. Shocking, you kinda look like him, I think it's just the horns though."

The sentence hit like a knife and the second twisted the blade. Nedrigo was right. He just didn't know how right he was.

Suddenly the lecture was over. Students were dismissed and Nedrigo stood up. They exchanged dorm room numbers and split. Dante ran his hand over the symbols Typhon had given him, over and over, keeping his hand in his bag. According to his schedule, he was supposed to be taking a fitness class, but Dante rounded up Nolan and Floyd.

Sitting in Dante's dorm, he spoke. "We have a new person working with us."

"Really, Dante? Here? That is so untrustworthy!" Nolan laughed. "And plus, don't we have to ask your dad about all this?"

"There's an ocean full of things I need to ask, Typhon. I guess that's just a new one."

The Raven popped up on Dante's shoulder and immediately disappeared. Even after repeated attempts, he got nothing.

"Well I mean, he didn't say no," Dante shrugged, that was good enough for him.

The start

When someone earns godlyhood it can take decades to centuries for their name to spread, to become a idle of their even lucky enough to become well known.

The Vanity of ancient greece knew no boundaries the gods were always looked up for their beauty so hephaestus doubted He'd ever reach the glory gods like Athena,Apollo, or even his own wife had.

But he had one worshipper a Sculptor name gregarion while he wasn't a black Smith, he specialized in bronze his work being life like. When hephaestus was still unheard of he prayed daily with admiration.

As Aphrodite's affair continued and hephaestus struggled Jr blessed the Sculptor with his visits craving his presence and praise. But the Sculptor was saddened he wanted to spread the word of Hephaestus yes he was gaining followers but he believed it was too few for a god such as him and that their love between two men couldnt bear a child.

He begged the god to use celestial bronze keeping his intentions ambiguous only that It'll bring glory to the gods.

Once he was blessed with it personally by hephaestus he got to work. A perfect daughter was sculpted in his eyes, fully grown, beautiful, and strong with a stance and face demanding respect.

He dragged it up Mt Olympus and begged Hera to grant his daughter the gift of life.

- everyone from the main fns lobby (tango, skizz, impulse, joker, endless, evil, mrs tango, astro, brody, etho) are gods; their godly power and status + what they’re the god of varies though

- ^ eg tango is a pretty influential/powerful god while both astro and brody are half gods, so not as powerful

- to expand on brody & astro: brody was a loner god and came across astro, a normal human. out of pure curiousity, he started talking to astro and ended up getting attached (too attached). i think astro would have a feeling brody wasn’t entirely human but wouldn’t be super sure of what exactly brody was

smth happens which leaves astro is severely wounded. brody panics and in that moment would give anything to save him, which leads to brody sacrificing half of his godlyhood/godly powers to save astro. this in turn made brody and astro half gods— astro being made into one

- brody does not have the power to save astro by himself as that isn’t related to his godlyhood; the person who ends up transferring half of brody’s godliness to astro is another god (maybe endless ? idk yet)

- p sure everyone else is a full god but again depending on what they’re the god of n stuff their amount of power varies. joker is the god of trickery & endless is the god of eternity which are the only solidified ones i have lol although i’ve always imagined tango would be some god of the underworld

I’m probably use this blog for writing, talking about said fandoms, obsessively thinking about my ocs for each said fandom, and making very politically(/j) incorrect analysis about characters. And, more! I’m sorry this is so long, really just ask me abt anything and it’ll eventually happen.

Last thing: I might post about my own stories that are… painfully unfinished, so here’s a brief intro about each (they’re all heavily inspired by my respective fandoms, we don’t talk abt that):

*Insert Dramatic Title* (IDT): A robot by the name of Edis is asked to save humanity from a prophecy stating that, from five years from now, the world will end.

Slaughterhouse (SH): A pair of twins live in a “Haven Town” where there outside world was shrouded into an apocalypse. They learn how to truly survive in such a restrictive environment and find out the subtle corruption of their system.

‘Vest of the ‘Usual (VOU): A young boy has unusual abilities that leads him to work in the government, which depicts him having to do the unthinkable: go to school. And, do his job, that too.

Act I (A1): Olesia Lexina has had one dream all her life: protect humanity from the evil that is godlyhood! This follows her journey through the ideal of becoming on of the top members of the “Guardians of Humanity”.

Project: New World (P:NW): The government has allowed a project and organization by the name of “New World” to attempt to “purify humanity of all of its wrongdoings” and it has taken the world by storm; unfortunately, Chara has absolutely no interest in any of it.

The Eight Tragedies (T8T): An Angel has come to earth to ultimately destroy everyone on it, in which a humanities major named Reminiscence gives the world (her two friends) a chance to fix their problems before it can do so—by going into the past eight times to fix mistakes that should’ve never happened.

Majic Girl: BOOM ★ (MG:★): this one is something I’ve been meaning to get motivation to work on properly. A young freshman girl watches her whole world turn upside down (close to literally) to as some sort of eldritch horror resurfaces the earth! And she is one of the few people making the attempt to kill it.

$1 Supermarket ($1): The economy as we know it had crashed after inflation has risen way too high to the point even the upper class finds it hard to buy anything. Thus, a brand new chain store by the name of $1 Supermarket has arisen! Where everything is exactly $1! And there’s like, a bunch of monsters everywhere, but that’s besides the point.

MARCELINE AND MY WORLDS LORE!!

my whole thing is religion and turning it on its head. In my lore; there was a war in heaven where some angels other than just Satan became jealous of humans and rebelled against god causing them to be cast to live amongst those they envied. These angels maintained they grace despite the fall and were hunted for it by angels attempting to prove their worth to god as well as humans hoping to meet him in the after life- their grace taking the form of golden blood now known as ichor and being harvested for its holy properties. This ichor starts being used in experiments bu the church and injected into humans in an attempt to get them closer to godlyhood only for a majority of them to die; a human body not meant to host it. The churchs whole mission is to bring the second coming, and make the eart suitable for god to show himself on. In this world supernatural beings exist and are seen as abominations by the church because 'MAN' was made in gods image, not these creatures so the church is trying ti wipe them out using human soldiers as canon fodder. its important to note that the church and vatican is secretly run by angels and arch angels at this point. IF the host doesnt immediately die from the blood alone, they are put this vigorous tests of strength, agility, stamina, etc, basically torture to ensure they are suitable and a lot of people die from this too but celine made it and theres a lot like her known as artificial nephilims. anywhere theres religion, a branch of the vatican is. the police are in their palm so all this killing and shit goes under the radar.

So for her specifically she believed in their mission for a long time. Her mother was a nephilim and escaped with the help of a scientist who fell in love with her and they ran, had a kid only to end up found and killed leaving Celine an orphan. The Vatican discovered that the younger the better to start these experiments on bc in gods eyes, CHILDREN are innocent and have no sin so Celine being an orphan and the prodigy of a success story, they plucked her up from a church run orphanage ofc and viola. She believed for a long time until so this part im still working on. Idk if I want it to be a mentor who she falls in love with or a mark but either way they are killed by the Vatican which makes her begin to DOUBT their mission. I HC that her Katana was her lovers weapon since Celine is French, her lover being Japanese.

As many have been told Christianity is usually said to be a monotheistic religion. Yet, I'd beg to differ. Before I begin for any person unaware I've put the definition of monotheism and polytheism below, along with any words I'd like to use the literal meaning of.

Monotheism - The doctrine or belief that there is only one God. Polytheism - The belief in or worship of more than one god. God - A superhuman being or spirit worshiped as having power over nature or human fortunes; a deity. (Second Definition) Belief - An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. (First Definition)

In the Christian Bible there is one main bad, just like any other fantasy book. This big bad is said to be the Devil, or Satan. Throughout the Bible Satan recurringly appears, meddling in places, and making people lose faith in God. The Devil is clearly a being on the same level if not a slightly lower level then God. He is said to be the snake in Genesis and the Serpent in Revelations, a clear love for the slithering body. Now, take the time to look at the definition of the word God above, I'd describe Satan's powers as a person who has power over human fortunes, he was after all the snake in the Garden of Eden. Along with that most polytheistic gods take on the form of an animal, just as we see Satan do throughout the Christian Bible. Satan should be described as a God, yet I can take this one step further. Many Christians do believe that Satan is the one that makes us Atheists not believe, meaning they have belief in Satan and his powers. But the First of the Ten Commandments states, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." So to believe in Satan, who I have provided evidence for his godlyhood, is to believe in another God. As a Christian believer you have made a great sin, believing in any other God. Overall, I believe that Satan, is to be described as a God. This would make Christianity a polytheistic religion and any believer that Satan exists will burn in hell.
