I've recently learned that there are in fact two types of stitch that come from EH! One is called Basque stitch, and look like this:
And a Basque knot, which seems to be just a variation of the Palestrina knot. Here's the Palestrina:
And the Basque knot:
There's absolutely no information regarding the history or the authenticity of these stitches - the same stitches may have maaany names in different places - just a reference to one book that states they can be tracked back to the 8th century which is INSANE, so take it with a pinch of salt.
So I finally gave in the temptation of Jujutsu No Kaisen and honestly, I’m liking it a lot
So here is some Gojo (because obviously) doodles I did while I watching
I’m still not familiar with the character so the doodles might be a little off, but either way, hope it’s close to his glory!
One more thing, everyone love his eyes his eyes, yes yes they’re gorgeous yes yes we all know but nobody talks about how HARD THEY ARE TO DRAW LIKE WTF THOSE WHITE LASHES ARE SO FCKING HARD TO SKETCH IN BLACK AND WHITE

I'm pretty sure no one will care about this but It's just a littke something that I'm excited about:
So right before lunch my grandma pulled me aside and said that she had found this dress from when she was 18 that I could try on and keep if I liked it. And she showed it to me and it was like this gorgerous handmade black velevet 60's dress and then I tried it on and it just fitted SO WELL and, nothing I guess I found my 18th birthday dress.
The child I made this puzzle toy for played with them more than the store bought toys.
His big sisters and brother helped me paint the trucks and car, making the “build” a family affair.
I hope I inspired all the kids involved to realize they too can build things that are appreciated, used, and loved.
The truck and car shapes were cut out using a jig saw from a scrap 2x6 about 2 feet long
The Wheels were made with a hole saw.
All the pieces edges were sanded down so there was no sharp corners.
Wood Dowels were used to put the puzzle back together and take apart as needed.
Build Notes:
The vehicles didn’t roll the greatest because the holes were not perfectly lined up in the center of the wheels and imperfect sanding of the wheels made for lopsided travel. I was concerned about this at first but it seemed it actually was more fun that way for the kid when he played with them.
Water Based Paint was used in hopes that when they were chewed on, or the chemicals would not transfer to the child when it played with the toy.
The width of the 2x4 was perfect fit for the child’s hands.
Wheels were attached with plain black Philips head screws. 1 1/4 long.
The toy took all the abuse a child would ever give it and kept on going!
The bright colors helped the adults to not step on the toys by accident
