TBOSAS has me thinking about how Finnick was likely one of the only people alive who knew even some of the story of what happened in the 10th Hunger Games and after. It’s apparent that Snow or the Capitol in general buried any record of the 10th games and Lucy Gray to save face.
However, who knew all of Snow’s darkest secrets and dirty laundry? Finnick. It’s reasonable to assume he probably learned at least part of the story. Not only that but Mags won the 11th games, directly after Lucy Gray’s Games. It is canon that there wasn’t much coverage of the games in the districts but I’m sure even if she didn’t watch them there were likely rumors about it during the next game. And when Snow reappeared as the president she likely remembered his role. And as Finnick’s mentor and mother figure she probably told him a lot.
There’s no real point to this information but I just think it’s very interesting that despite how hard Snow worked to bury his past it probably still lived on. And despite his efforts to control, oppress, and abuse the victors, it was one of these victors who knew his dark past. It was one of the people he tried to control that eventually gained an upper hand over him and helped play a big role in his downfall.

I like to think that when Jason is baking everyone immediately turncoats and become the bestest sibling™️ ever in the world so he’ll share.
Like Damian is about to do one of his look alive sneak attacks on Jason but everyone tackles him like NO NO NO NO! he’s baking
Dick immediately goes to the book store and buys one of those hardback, gilt in gold classic books as an “impromptu gift for my favorite Jaylad! Oh, what are you baking! Looks great!”
Cass shows him cat videos/pictures as he measures out the ingredients.
Damian goes up to him and watches pretty much everything he does in quiet curiosity before offering a terse compliment and leaving.
Tim orders high quality Dutch process cocoa gives it to him without a word
Duke doesn’t really have to do anything he’s on the premium list with Alfred.
For Bruce seeing his kids genuinely enjoy a hobby is enough.
Steph just openly begs.
Jason is aware of all of these bribes and attempts to get in his good graces but that’s not gonna change the fact that this croquembouche is for his crew.
Good thing he made two.

Vlad (Pheonix): Just giving you a heads up, when it becomes known that you are dating me. You will have to fight through my 6 abominable exes, as well as Gary.
Constantine: Why is the 7th one called Gary.
Vlad: Because that is his name...?
Constantine: No, I mean why is he differentiated from the others?
Vlad: Ah. Because Gary is not my ex, he's just Gary.
Constantine: Then why is he-
Vlad: He likes card games, the others are most likely to try and kill you.
Constantine: Noted.

When Katsuki Bakugo needed saving, Izuku came up with a plan where Todoroki, Iida, and Kirishima went rocketing across the sky to reach him.
When Izuku Midoriya needed saving, it was Katsuki, Todoroki, and Iida who went rocketing across the sky to reach him.
Both times, our Twin Stars decided to set their own needs aside and allow the other’s trusted friend to take the lead in bringing them home. Izuku knew Kirishima was the right choice to get Katsuki away from the league quickly and safely, and Katsuki knew Iida was the better man for the job of catching up to Izuku and bringing him back.
Can we please just take a moment to appreciate the parallels. Please.

i know we all love benoit blanc because he's charming and hates assholes and is gay and solves crimes, but you must understand there's another side to his character that is exceptionally important to me...
he is a little bit of a bastard.

shoutout to Jake Animorphs for being kinda uninteresting for like forty books and then hitting you so hard when he fully snaps and steps into his role as a hardened military leader at the age of sixteen
and then suddenly that sweet, stressed-out kid is just gone. he only exists to win wars anymore. it makes you realize too late what was lost

Joel and Sausage feel bad for not noticing sooner, but at least being heroes they can take him in for treatment,, he's not too far gone for that right??

Thinking about a scene where Steve tells Dustin to stop insulting him at every chance he gets, it fucking sucks, actually.
Dustin just scoffs. Rolls his eyes. Steve can take it. Plus, Dustin's just saying things that are true. Steve is dumb. His grades were bad. He didn't get into college. He makes dumb comments and gets things wrong. Not to mention his hobbies. He says he can't pick them up from Hellfire because there's a basketball game he wants to watch, like what? He spends all his time watching sports and talking about sports and playing sports. Its either that or working on his car. What kind of hobbies are those? They're not real hobbies. Can't be much of a reformed jock if he can't even give up sports.
So Steve just tells Dustin that if he isn't going to stop being a bully, Steve doesn't want to be his friend anymore, and leaves.
And it's like a slap in the face.

richard making luke's feelings towards annabeth weird was such a fuckup bc it makes people uncomfortable with sympathizing with him when it's imperative to the story that you do

remembering how tubbo and cellbit being siblings was a pretty popular headcanon before bagi joined, and then people headcanoned the three of them as siblings. but i think that what we've ended up with is tubbo and bagi as siblings, removed from cellbit. i don't usually like to assign found family traditional family roles, but in this case, i think it being specifically a sibling role is important.
because bagi's spent so long chasing after a brother who doesn't want her. so she's gone "fine, then. i'll find myself one who does." and tubbo certainly wants her around! he doesn't mind her stealing from him. he chose her for his team the first time around, despite the one-sided tension they'd originally had.
she went to purgatory for her coach. she said she'd stick her hand in the fire for him. and they didn't win, but they get to walk out together, so i think bagi won, honestly. there's also the mutual bickering and the stealing, but that's part of it too. and there's so much mutual respect there as well.
anyway. i love seeing them hang out and i hope they hang out even more going forward, not just for themselves but also for sunny and empanada <3 because they're siblings too and i love them and i wish they got to see more of each other!

Ideal ending to WCI is Luffy seeing Sanji cry and then awakening his devil fruit and unlocking Gear Fifth out of sheer RAGE and saying the classic line of “Who made you cry, Sanji?! I’ll DESTROY THEM!!!” and then proceeding to go on a rampage and fucking absolutely EVERYBODY up including the Vinsmokes, Pudding, AND the Big Mom Pirates. Toss in the trope of came back wrong and Sanji can immediately tell something is not right about this Luffy, whose smile is too wide, whose eyes are too distant, who continues to beat upon his enemies long after they’re down, who seems to take a sick sort of pleasure in hurting others, who grins and giggles and tells Sanji he’ll obliterate anything that makes him cry. Eventually he starts to scare Sanji so bad that even Luffy notices his reaction, and immediately turns on himself because if HE’S the one making Sanji cry then he’ll just have to destroy himself too. And that’s when Sanji finally leaps into action and does whatever he can to reach Luffy—including kissing him. Luckily that was exactly what Luffy needed to snap out of it, and when he comes to the Whole Cake Chateau is in broken pieces, the Big Mom Pirates are battered beyond fighting and the Vinsmokes are nowhere to be seen. And softly, tiredly, he asks if they won, if he can bring Sanji home, and Sanji cries again and says yes, take me home to the Sunny, I want to go home with you.
Meanwhile the rest of the Strawhats are like

just. the vulnerability of it all. izzy post-amputation is vulnerable: he's so weak he can barely stand, even with someone else holding him up. it would be impossible for him to care for himself in this state, let alone pull his weight on a working ship, and you know the enormity of the situation is not lost on izzy. i'm sure he strongly believes the crew should have killed him.
but they don't. they keep him alive. they find him a crutch (as undignified as a mop for a crutch may be). they make him a wooden leg. i'm sure they insist on cleaning his wound, changing his bandages. fang or frenchie or both are glued to his side constantly, supporting him, allowing him to walk. he is so utterly dependent on them now.
which is why it makes sense for him to be so fiercely protective of them when stede shows up. he snarls and growls and provokes, desperately hoping stede will take whatever anger he may have out on izzy, and not on the crew. he pleads for them, defends them. nothing was their fault. we did this to ed, not them. leave them be.
because izzy owes the crew a life debt, now, and he intends to pay it in full.

it occurs to me that jamie's conversation with ted at the pub in 2x02 might be the first time he talks about his dad with someone who already knows that james is abusive (with the possible exception of georgie). which means that the first time he hears an outside perspective on the situation, it's ted telling him that his dad's abuse is what made him great
