how would you describe arrowfamily in canon? Cause i have seen conflicting things ranging from "Oliver Queen is a terrible horrible person" to "canon arrowfamily is what people think batfam should be like/if you want fanon batfam you want canon arrowfam" and it is confusing

Disclaimer first. A full, proper, arrowfam read-through is next on my list once I finally catch up with the bats, but I haven't gotten there yet. I have still read a whole bunch of comics, and by virtue of how the DC universe works, I've seen a fair bit of the arrows scattered throughout. (In particular, I've read a lot of Roy via Titans and Outsiders.)

So I can give a broad strokes answer here, but I'm not going to try to claim a deep meta analysis of the arrows yet.

I think the quickest way to explain the contradictory information is this:

batfam fans take up most of the space in DC fandom

for whatever reason, it has become highly popular bat fanon to use Oliver Queen as a scapegoat Designated Terrible Dad to show how much better and cooler and nicer Bruce is.

This is not a fair or accurate depiction of Ollie.

(Nor, for that matter, an accurate depiction of Bruce, but that fanon diversion is intentional and less like throwing shrapnel at a guy who isn't even part of this.)

People who actually read comics and like Ollie therefore try to push back on this extreme and ooc demonization of him, and also vaunt the arrows in general.

Said pushback is sometimes an exaggerated overcompensation.

Basically, no, Oliver Queen is not a terrible horrible person, nor even a terrible horrible father.

And I would say the canon arrows are a lot closer to what fans are desperately trying to find (or just make up) in the bats. There are various things that are true of the canon arrows/Ollie and of the fanon bats/Bruce that are not true of the canon bats/Bruce. [All post-crisis disclaimer.] Examples:

Ollie is outspokenly liberal and this is a well accepted piece of his canon characterization. (Meanwhile DC writers try very very hard to make Bruce Totally Apolitical and therefore acceptable to all readers. Not that anything is ever actually apolitical.)

Ollie also hates cops! And rich people! For a significant chunk of comics, he lost his fortune and was better off for it, realizing he could never be truly good if he were still a billionaire.

The common fan argument about how Bruce totally isn't abusive; he's a good dad who's just been written that way once or twice by bad writers is...actually not that far off from describing Ollie? He hit Roy once in a comic about How Not To Respond To Addiction; in another comic he was revealed to have secretly known about and abandoned Conner, despite this not lining up with previous comics showing how he really wanted to be a dad. Both of these things are canon and bad, no doubt! But he is also usually a lot better, and has shown an ability to grow and change. (Meanwhile canon Bruce just has a consistent pattern of abuse.)

Subjective, but Ollie seems to really think of himself as a father and delight in it in a way that Bruce just kinda...doesn't.

All the arrows, from what I can tell, actually like each other.

They don't try to murder each other either.

But, as you surely notice, being closer to batfanon desires doesn't mean the arrows literally are the fanon batfam. Like the bats, they are not a perfect model nuclear family (nor should they be!). They too have had conflict and dysfunction (Roy and Oliver stopped talking for a significant period of time!). And they do indeed exist in a comic book world driven by crime and superheroics and conflict, not a fluffy fanfiction world driven by comfort and interpersonal reassurances. (This is not a dunk on fanfic, which I love, just a reminder).

so tl;dr, the arrows aren't a perfectly fluffy fanon family either...but if you see a batfam fan throwing Ollie/other arrows under the bus to make their fave look better, that is definitely bullshit.

Uh... Hi! And thanks for asking! (did you ask every blog that posts about WHB? It's fun seeing the difference in opinions, tbh) anyway! This isn't going to be short, but I hope it's fun!

Let's see... Out of the Ars' it's probably Eligos, easily. I mean, look at him, he's cute, clingy, wants to be loved, easy to bully. An all around pretty boy. What else can I ask? That he also likes being roughed up? Sitri, Leraye and Bael come as close seconds too

As for the kings... Let's start with Satan!

Fluffy. Hair. I just love how it makes him looks like a lamb. And I completely agree with what someone said about the contrast between the suits of the nobles and his funky track suit, and the fact that he looks like the most approachable of the kings. He seems to be a more relaxed, easygoing one considering the "drinks with lesser demons" and the few snaps of him and Sitri. I think we will see four distinct sides of him: the respectable, dutiful king; the easygoing dude you can have a tea beer with; the scary, threatening demon who will remind us not to get too cozy and finally, the most intimate, "dude is Depressed" side, the part of him that lashes out to prevent tears, the part of him that can't quite gather the strength to get out of bed, the one that will gather a collective "I can fix him" reaction.

He's capable of blood manipulation, too, which is a very interesting, creativity oriented power and fits his overall theme to a T. AND, he is canonically a switch (likes both giving and receiving spankings)! His bath card, too. He looks really pretty and delicate in that one.

All in all, I love his design, and I think I'm going to like him a lot once the game is published.

Mammon! Now, I have a few gripes about him. Starting from Obey Me!Mammon, who kinda fits on every other thing I absolutely love to see, minus the financial irresponsibility. So the bar is kinda high, because I keep comparing how much I like OM!Mamms. There's also the fact that Mammon is huge. It's an artist choice, yes, we see that with how narrow Satan's shoulders are in his cards, and the fact that Leviathan should have a more princely figure instead of really really broad shoulders. It makes sense, with Mammon, because he is pure muscle, but it's just not my type in general, and he is specially broad, as seen on his cards, past the point of the usual buff characters I like. So yeah, high expectations + too much muscle is a rough start. And then there's the feet, but I'm pretending I do not see, because that seem like something that will show up a lot.

On a more positive note, I like how they went a different route with him. He's not consumed by the need to have it all, because everything already belongs to him, and he is "generous" and "benevolent" instead, "letting" people have this and that. He could come across as a douchy, entitled ass instead of a dorky, soft idiot, so that's to be seen. Hopefully it's the second 9/10 times. He sounds like a ruthless fighter, too. Not my fav, but I don't hate him either. 7/10 ig? His tits are massive tough, and I love that. Hope he's as dumb as his tits are big.

Oh! I like his design, too. The way he creates gold from his own body, how regal his clothes look, the claws and rings, the gold and black, broken horn, really pretty! And gives a little variety. You can appreciate the twinks better with a massive dude like him around. The mirror selfie is so far my favorite card of his so far.

Levi time! He's pretty. Really pretty. He looks like a prince, and I dare say he likes degradation. Once again, the Obey Me thoughts stike, but they feel vastly different as well. He's not a shut in otaku, but he is canonically agoraphobic (afraid of open/crowded spaces), and likes shutting himself in his coffin. He has a coffin, too! He sleeps on a coffin! And he likes getting choked of all things! Which, someone pointed out in the whb tags, is actually a risky practice, but it fits him perfectly.

I like Leviathan, probably my favorite king of the four, but I do have to say that his horns remind me of a deer more than a coral reef, and his overall look doesn't help with that. Still, the suits, the dignified demeanor, his gloves... I like the style, and I want to ruin him because of it, which fits with the overall vibe we get of him so far. He wants that. Craves it, even. And I know there's a lot of self hatred (and love, in a twisted way, which someone else kindly pointed out) there to play with. The fact that he has a harem, and probably indulges in it to some degree or the other is fantastic too. And I love me a summoner.

The free (play store) pre register bathroom card is definitely my favorite of his, but the selfie one is also beautiful. I'd say his are the prettiest cards so far, but I'm biased. Hope he has some snake things going on, since the Leviathan was a biblical sea snake/dragon/creature, and envy is often represented by the snake as well. Wouldn't complain if we can call him a doe though.

Last but not least... Beelzebub.

His purple gems things on his pants need to go. Asap. It's just... No. The shoes are not my cup of tea either, and the pants could use a tear or two on the other leg to balance things out. The rest of Beel is actually really pretty. I like the whole tattoo and piercing thing he seems to have going on, and his horn is a favorite of mine. I love how it's implied that his food is Not Edible by anyone but him, too. It's fun that he's probably a terrible cook, considering the main outlet for gluttony is food.

He is described as "lovely", although he looks more like a little shit (positive) and I can't picture him as someone kind, yet, but definitely someone fun in one way or the other. He seems to be craving the happy chems that traveling give him, and in a loop of tossing things at his brain until one sticks for long enough to stop the Shitty Feeling. He is also the embodiment of gluttony, so it's likely that he never gets enough of it, too, and that he just wants more and more. Seeing different places, meeting new people, trying different things, doing new things, even when everything moves at a neck-break pace that he can't keep up anymore until he burns out, and then rinse and repeat. He and Satan probably struggle with their own heads a lot, too. I don't quite like his fetish, though (ironic, given that Bael has the same and he is in the top 5).

He's... Not my favorite, really, and it probably shows. But he's not terrible, and I appreciate him a little bit more after this. My favorite card of his is probably going to be the one where he has to get a shot. He looks pretty when he cries.

Blaze and Gold for the bingo thingyyyyy

Blaze:

Blaze! My first favourite character of the whole franchise! Even if Silver took over there, I still really appreciate Blaze. I think she's got a lovely design: I love her specific shade of lavender purple, and I think they nicely captured her graceful and royal nature with e.g. her heels, noticeable golden necklace, deep purple clothes and fluffy cuffs. Plus, I like psychic powers and such things, so pyrokinesis is right up my alley as well. And I think she's just got a great character arc! In Rush, you can tell she absolutely means well. Her concerns about the dimensions being in grave danger are not at all misplaced, and she's actively working to protect them. But her worrying is simultaneously conveyed through incessant snarking at how carefree Sonic's dimension appears at first glance, how Cream is "not very bright", that she couldn't care less about Sonic, Knuckles and Amy if she tried, and how she sees herself as the only one actually doing anything about the crisis. Even through Blaze's own subjective and tinted POV, you get to see how she singles herself out to solve the issue and doesn't trust others to do so alongside her. That is why I really like the resolution of Rush, with her learning that things are just not like this. She does have people she can rely on, and, most notably, who trust her in turn! To me, Rush's story is incredibly sweet and uplifting because of the growth Blaze undergoes. And I also appreciate how even after that growth, she is still relatively standoffish and refined: she isn't as outgoing as the rest of the cast, and they accept that about her. I find it quite realistic: of course someone who has lived most of her life self-isolating, not trusting others, and putting the whole world on her own shoulders won't suddenly become a hyperactive sunshine incarnate who's always on the front rows.

Right now Blaze is not on my mind that much, which is why I didn't mark so many boxes. Canon Blaze is entirely fine by me, and I am not involved enough with her fandom to have an opinion on that. So overall, great aesthetics, an engaging and intriguing personality, and a solid development that she underwent.

Gold:

I had quite recently become a Sonic fan when it got announced that The Silver Age would be released. I was quite delighted! Archie at that time was a massive clusterfuck for me (and still is; I became a fan right around the time of the reboot, if I am not mistaken. Definitely didn't help matters), so having a standalone Silver story with none of the bazillion OG characters and idiot plotlines of especially the pre-reboot was very nice for me to delve into. I've always had an appreciation for Gold since then: also she is one of those characters that I think look lovely, with both her quills and her outfit especially being very remarkable to me. That being said, I do find it unfortunate that we never really got anything else from her, with the comics cancelled and such. The Silver Age is the one thing I like about Archie, so knowing that a continuation was in the works but got cancelled does sting a bit. At least Evan has lots of info on her Tumblr that I used as inspiration for Genesis.

As for Gold's personality, I think Evan's Tumblr notes gave more of a description of who she is as a whole than The Silver Age did: in the comics themselves, she's unfortunately hoisted from one crisis to another at neckbreaking speeds and reacting to those with lots of panic and crying, without having much time to let her positive qualities shine too. That definitely made it a challenge to write Genesis, alas. But it also gave me a lot of freedom to work out both her backstory, that of Onyx City, and that of the Council, which has been tons of fun! Furthermore, I do like the idea of Silver having friends in the future, and I think he and Gold can have a nice dynamic going between them, especially when Gold develops a bit and grows somewhat bolder and more comfortable with herself. So overall, I also like Gold!

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE TOWER ( S4M COMIC )

PART 1

PS: the punching glove isn't involved I just forgot to remove it!

PPS: This has a lot of my personal HCs LMAO don't worry about it but if it confuses you just see my talk under the cut! Actually I HIGHLY recommend you read it PLS

[ ID: Fanart done in traditional medium, uncolored, with pencil and slightly rough sketching. It's a comic of the game Smile For Me featuring Putunia Mollar, Kamal Bora and Dr.Habit living together. The panels alternate colors between cool blue, warmer red and orange tones and gray because of how they were photographed.

The designs have canon style but the changes in the artists interpretation are as follows. Kamal has a lot of acne, eyebags and thick brows. For this comic his hair is in a ponytail and he casually wears sleeveless top with sweatpants. Putunias hair is more scruffy. Habit has the most change- Here he has a muppet-like appearance with fur, longer hair, cheek patches with a splash of freckles, stitches and scars on hands plus an X shaped one near his mouth. His teeth are uneven with a bigger snaggletooth too. His long coat is made of some soft, scratchy material and it's collar is bush-like with feathery parts holding flowers.

The comic starts with Kamal massaging Putunia's shoulders. He smirks, "Alright, kiddo, we're gonna fucking get that asshole today." Putunia bravely kisses her muscles for good luck.

We see she is standing on a high rise stool to reach his height. She yells in unbridled excitement, " GIMME FIVE BRO!!! " and smacks her non-punching glove palm into Kamal's, who sheepishly replies, "kk..." with a grin.

Their plan comes into action as they sneak up behind Habit. He is standing at the window admiring the beautiful morning, singing the lyrics to Tomorrow from Annie, " The sun will come out to-morrow....bet your bottom dollar...". His back faces them. There are slightly visible odd shapes in his hair. Kamal's cheeks puff and his eyes go wide as he presses a hand to his lips, gesturing to Putunia, "SHHH. I see he's singing the same song again....like a total CHUMP..." he whispers. The little girl can barely hold in her glee. She bites her fingers and squeals, " eeeEEE!"

A side view is shown as they get closer to Habit, about to scare him. Kamal can't resist chuckling while he holds up Putunia. She takes aim at the target, circling her fingers around her single open eye and sticking out her tongue in intense concentration. Habit's upper face is in shadow but he has a slight, characteristically crooked smile. He continues singing, "clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow....till there's none..."

Suddenly! A very loud BOO is splashed onto the page. Below is the building reaction to it, a shrill scream going AAAA-

And we cut to a very distraught and crying Kamal, his arms jumped up in sheer fear, continuing it with, "AAALLAHU AKBAR-"

Before Putunia stops him on the spot via a finger to the mouth, " BABA. ...shut the up." He is in so much shock. His eyes get huge.

We see her now wrapped inside Habit's arms, looking up at Kamal apologetically with a thin smile, twiddling her fingers, " Sowwy..." He manages to stammer out, "Y-Y-You....you....Y..."

He catches his breath! In a burst of energy Kamal points a damning finger to Habit, saying at the top of his voice, "YOU! STOP THAT. RIGHT N-NOW." Habit is too amused by patting a wonderstruck Putunia who's going "Oooo.." at him, and having bent his head all the way from front to back( looks like an upside down head) to really be intimidated by that. He puts his fluffy tongue out, and his glass eyes appear to be missing as well- leaving just two dots on the face. " Hee hee... hoo hoo.." end ID]

OK let's get some basics out of the way first! In this AU, which I've named Roseverse( after its Flower Kid named Rose lel), Habit is a muppy. A mubbit. A man or a muppet? Mupman.

And I've since dropped the HC but I've headcanoned Kamal as Muslim for a REALLY LONG time because I am projecting so that's why you're seeing that here !

Here they all live as a family in the 6-floored Tower( the black rings we see on it in-game that lead up to the top office are seperate rooms) though Putunia's a Community Child and only comes in for routine visits but yeah.

Onto the comic proper now!! I'll explain headcanons panelwise :) (smile emote)

Panel 1: Kamal's like

As for Habit on that subject, really he doesn't swear much on the regular but SOMETIMES he'll whisper things like MOTHERFUCKER or CUNT into Kamal's ear just to watch him jump ( BTW if someone knows what this is referencing YOU ARE COOL )

Panel 2: 'Tunia's picking up speech patterns!! Kamal was that one guy in college dropping "dudeman" 's and he NEVER expected to see his brospeak come back in this Tiny Powerhouse but 'tis welcome

Panel 3: Habit's singing Tomorrow from the original Annie! Such a sweet and lively song. It is infact my voice claim for Kid Habit.

Speaking of, fun fact I started at NIGHT drawing this powered by freaking. Heart Broken 💔( broken heart emoji) Hindi Songs and I DIDNT STOP BABEEEYYYYYYYY

Panel 7: In my old school bus someone used to say why don't we say shut sideways 🥸 (silly disguise emoji with huge mustache and glasses, showing amusement in this context)

It's Back- Zelda on Heroforge PART SEVEN: The Classics

I am going to go ahead and put this here: TW for blood

I may ramble a little bit so it's going to be under a break :) And as always, click for best quality :)

Genesis- The Hyrule Fantasy: Okay, so part of the reason this was on hiatus for so long was because I could not figure out his design. Obviously, very few of my Heroforge designs are exact replicas of how the characters look in my brain and in my hand-drawn art, but man, Genesis here was something else. But after my long break, and with a little fanagling, I am... actually kinda proud of it! He's only 10 in The Hyrule Fantasy, and I tried to mirror that in his pose, with the look of quiet terror on his face and his not knowing how to hold a sword. I kinda imagined he was in the middle or end of a dungeon, perhaps facing off the boss (which explains the bruises and the bloody nose). Also, note the bottles and backpack and the Recorder! I liked being able to add on all of his stuff >:)

Genesis- Zelda II: The Adventure of Link: This is the Genesis that I accidentally made too handsome 😅 (Only later did I realize that it might be because he kinda looks like Anakin Skywalker. This is what happens when you have two hyperfixations at once, kids.) ANYWAY. He's grown up since the events of THF- it's been 6 years, after all- and now is a much more experienced fighter, so his look of fear has been replaced with frustrated determination, and he now knows how to hold a sword. His outfit has also changed a bit, since he now works in and lives at the castle. Also, he is supposed to be wielding the Magic Sword, and he has less stuff because this game is more focused on magic, so he has a bunch of magic objects in his backpack.

Dawn- The Hyrule Fantasy: Dawn I struggled with because, while her physical appearance is practically perfect, Heroforge doesn't really provide many options to accomodate her big fluffy dress, to say nothing of my WAYYY overcomplicated fanon design for it 😅 But overall, I think I'm okay with how it came out. So. My ✨vision✨ for this was at the end of the game, after Ganon has been defeated and Genesis stumbles into her dungeon for the first time. So her dress is dirt-stained, and she herself isn't in the best condition. And she has this look of genuine shock and surprise on her face, because I think she was starting to give up on hope. You may ask: well if she was a hostage, why doesn't she have shackles? And my answer is that I simply didn't think of it until now :/ Oh well :)

Dawn- Zelda II: The Adventure of Link: She doesn't canonically appear in game, but obviously she's still very much a part of the world, and I like seeing how she's grown up since the events of THF. I think her time in Ganon's prison has definitely scarred her, but she's learning how to heal and is doing so very well, being a gentle and very kind woman and a strong, compassionate ruler. I like her dress even less than the previous, but that's just because it's not up to the standard of my drawings. Also, loyal friends will acknowledge her teacup and the headcanons behind it.

Ganon: This Ganon is actually a direct copy of his design in A Link to the Past (which I'm linking below), except that he no longer bears any of the grandeur of his previous designs or any connection to his Gerudo roots, because he's completely lost his mind. I tried to convey this through his posture and pose. And I actually kind of ended up feeling really bad for him as I designed him, so... take that as you will T^T

Impa: Okay to be honest. I really have nothing much to say about this incarnation of Impa. I was barely able to cram any Sheikah imagery in there and I just, overall, don't care for this design. Having said that, I find her characterization, on the other hand, to be so interesting. I think she and Dawn are very close, and that Impa practically raised her, and worried so so much about her during her imprisonment. And now, I'd like to think she acts as a beloved mentor to both Dawn and Genesis, helping Dawn rule responsibly and making sure Genesis is successful as a swordsman and as a protector and boyfriend good friend to Dawn.

Somnia (Princess Zelda I): Okay, I'm going to be honest. I'm not completely in love with how she turned out. But I suppose I did all I could for her. Again, it's just that it's not how she looks in my head. But anyway. I tried to make her look how she would when she's asleep, because I didn't feel like posing her crazily 😅

The Prince and the Wizard: Full Disclosure- I think this one is my favorite. I love how Somnia's brother turned out (I tried to make him look older than he is in the official art; my logic is that if he inherited the throne instead of Somnia it must be because he's the older sibling, because it's not like their father didn't trust her to rule since he told her the location of the Triforce). And I think the "wizard" turned out creepy enough- I say wizard in quotations because if you look in the official art, he seems to be made of the Prince's shadow, and I think he was perhaps a minion of Ganon's or even, like Aghanim, a projection of Ganon himself.

Zelink: If you've been around my blog long enough, you'll know about Genesis's love of tea. So naturally, that's what I had to incorporate into this one. I like to think they have tea together every morning :) Note their matching teacups :) AUGH I am so proud of this one :)

Zelink 2: Okay disclaimer. My heart is set on the previous Zelink in regards to the Classics. But this scene is so iconic that I am legally obligated to include it. So. You get two. Pick your favorite. (If you have questions about this please don't be afraid to ask, I'm sure I'll be much more eloquent when answering 😅)

QuackerJack's weird eating habits includes, but not limited to: Eating Mac and Cheese as a scoop in his hand like an apple, eating coleslaw out of a paper bag with his fingers, drinks ranch dressing straight out of the bottle, chomps down on a soda can to shotgun it, etc...

QuackerJack's plumage is underdeveloped, and better resembles down instead of guard feathers. They're very fine and fluffy, and not very waterproof, hence why he can't float like other Ducks. This gives him the Duck equivalent to being "baby faced", which he finds embarrassing. Part of why he wears so much attire is to draw attention away from that.

QuackerJack went to the Duck-verse equivalent to Woodstock when he was 19. Yes, he did have a VW esque van, and yes, it was a pretty awesome time.

QuackerJack is a licensed nail technician, but business for such a salon in a predominantly avian city is pretty non existent. The reason for this is because he took college courses in fashion and cosmetology in order to better design dolls that would appeal more to customers.

Aforementioned fashion classes were very helpful in his costume design skills as well.

QuackerJack checks the dump regularly for discarded game consoles and controllers so he could gut them for parts to repurpose into his mechanical creations

Pertaining to the "QJ is Goz's Bio Dad" theory, him being so is why Taurus Bulba targeted him in the comics during his time working at QuackWerk.

QuackerJack is canon to Super Smash Bros (something I've been working on for a while now, with some posts linking the ideas via connecting game appearances and all that, but basically, because he's in "Disney Heroes Battle Mode", he's effectively linked to Wreck-it Ralph, which includes links to specific game franchises that would be in SSB, as well as linking to Kingdom Hearts and Minecraft, both of which were added to SSBU after I'd half-joked about those being the missing links)

The only things I really project would be a few quirks and similar things I always related to that I would know how to write about properly because "write what you know". 👀

Also, I just want him having amblyopia to be reasonable because I never see that get represented and Nega-QuackerJack having those thick crafting glasses at least gives me hope

Rain Draws Ashfur Several Times

So Ashfur won that poll I made about which Warrior Cats villain I should draw, so instead of doing the normal thing and drawing him once, I decided to rotate him in my mind for a bit and then draw him multiple times

I am completely normal about this greasy, melodramatic loser

I tried to stick to canon (or at least, the depiction of Ashfur in his sprite on the wiki), but this looks wrong to me

So then I drew my own personal design for him! His stripes n stuff aren't meant to be that dark, I messed up while coloring him but I didn't want to redraw him. The only problem was the stripes, so I didn't feel like it was bad enough to justify completely redrawing him

While usually it's something I save for cats with the -heart suffix, I gave him a heart shaped marking on his chest. It was whole when he was a kit, but as he got older the heart "broke"

Realistic? No. A fun design choice? Yes

Also while I'm not very good at drawing spotted tabbies (or tabbies in general tbh), that's what I draw Ashfur (+ Ferncloud and Brindleface) as

Then I drew him in the style that I draw Starclan cats in! I've been meaning to talk about how my Starclan/Dark Forest designs work, but the more important details for Starclan cats are that they're lighter in color than their living appearance, any markings are sharper or star shaped if applicable, whatever killed them sparkles and that the longer they're dead, they start looking less like cats

That last one is a bit hard to explain in words, but for example Firestar would start looking like he's actually made of fire, Longtail's tail would get even longer or Hollyleaf would start growing actual holly leaves out of her body

Body horror, but not as disturbing to look at or as painful to the cat as it is for the Dark Forest residents.

While Ashfur's death technically didn't have anything to do with fire, I think he'd always be surrounded by smoke as a reminder of what he tried to do (I was mainly thinking of Holly, Jay & Lion when I put that in, but it could also be easily connected to Ashfur's part in Firestar losing a life to the fox trap)

I imagine the smoke would be there as a reminder to him that just because he was let into Starclan doesn't mean that he's completely off the hook or that Starclan didn't see the shit he tried to pull. I also think that he wouldn't really get to deliver prophecies or anything particularly important.

I have to imagine that he was trying really hard to not lose it when Hollyleaf was allowed into Starclan (considering the Starclan trial stuff, Ashfur was probably at Hollyleaf's trial, because we all know she definitely had one)

Also I made a little doodle of a wet Ashfur. My Ashfur isn't very big or muscular, he's actually short and scrawny. He just looks a bit bigger than he actually is because he's really fluffy

Dark Forest Ashfur (as he should've been in canon)

I'm not sure why the picture quality on this one is shittier than the others

I'll talk more about how I draw Dark Forest cats at a later time, but some of the more important stuff is written down here already.

All Dark Forest cats have red outlines, though. No exceptions.

If I remember correctly, it's mentioned that there's no prey in the Dark Forest/Place of No Stars, so my Dark Forest cats are all real skinny. The longer they've been there, the more starved they look.

Unlike how Starclan cats will have their appearances change based on their names, Dark Forest cats will have their appearances changed based on their deaths (or the circumstances around it) and their crimes. Much like Starclan cats, your appearance changes more the longer you've been dead.

Cats like Ashfur or even Hawkfrost will have begun to change, but it isn't as bad for them yet as it is for cats like Mapleshade or Thistleclaw.

(Since I'm probably not going to draw Thistleclaw any time soon, I'll just tell you that one of the things done to him as a result of being in the DF is that despite being still mentally the same age as he was at his death, his appearance is that of an apprentice, and probably on the younger side at that. His treatment of Tigerpaw, Spottedpaw and Tiny, as well as being why Bluefur had to get rid of her kits, leading to the death of Mosskit, means that I get to hit him with the baby stick. Have fun being intimidating and using your power against people now, idiot)

Additionally, whatever killed a Dark Forest cat is still there. Yes, this means Tigerstar 1 is solidly Not Having a Good Time(tm)

Ashfur is burning from the inside out, both because of Firestar + the Fire Scene, but also because he fueled himself with his hatred of Squirrelflight after she ended their brief relationship. He let that anger and hatred fuel him, and now he will become the fuel for a fire. Naturally, this means he's now very hot to the touch and he radiates a ton of heat.

Dark Forest Ashfur gets an extra eye stripe that he doesn't have in his living design and also longer eyelashes because I wanted to try and make him look more like he has mascara running down his face... it made sense to me when I drew it.

And here's something a lot dumber

I wanted to draw a quick & silly bad doodle, so here's Ashfur as that one Elmo meme but I was too lazy to look at the actual meme for reference

(This is what color his stripes n stuff are supposed to be btw. Dark gray, I just accidentally made them black before. The only one of these designs that's supposed to have black stripes is the Dark Forest design, and that's just because the DF cats are darker in color than their living designs)

I was going to add more art to this post but then my brain decided we were done drawing for now despite how I had more ideas, so this is all you're getting, I guess.

Admittedly, this was really fun to do and I might do something like this with the polls again at some point. I'm actually really proud of this art, too :)

MY BELOVED!! Ik I never talk about her but she's one of my top fav characters she's such a babe also I had a crush on her when I first watched. I don't know much about the country but I hope to learn more soon since I'm rlly interested in the history and culture of that part of the world!

Time for Luffy's fashion exam! Now, I'll be honest, I did skip an outfit because I decided I will be ending this whole thing with the Strawhat fashion show in Episode of Luffy. Also, sorry for the posting gap, I remembered I have other unfinished post sets. That being said, this is a very long one so let's do this!

Kid Luffy, Post-Enies Lobby & Fish-Man Island: I think it's super cute when Luffy has white t shirts with red based logos because it reminds me of the first picture. Makes him look baby plus, they can always be found in cute domestic EPs or fun, cute flashbacks. The shorts change over time and that's also kinda cute, a range of cuffs is a nice change up. It's nice to see the red contrast the blue shorts and the white is a nice color on him cos it contrast his hair!

Romance Dawn, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark, Sabaody Archipelago, Amazon Lily, Marineford & last Dressrosa outfit: This look is the pre Luffy look. It's the pre Timeskip look everyone thinks of is cuffed shorts, Kimono sandels and sleeveless vest (and Strawhat, obviously) but have you ever seen them all in a line? It's mad. Each outfit is the same basic look bit more are more spicy each time! I like the Thriller Bark and Sabaody Archipelago looks a little bit more cos it's nice to see that jacket open and it feels like he was trying something new. I also feel that the buttons on the jacket look like the ones on Shanks' pegged ankle sailor pants when we first see him so that's cool. (it took me hours to find the name for his trousers, oh my fucking god) The last Dressrosa outfit feels like a nice callback to the rest of the line up here without being too much cos it's just a red vest top instead and I do find it funny it's like the Enies Lobby and it's used in Dressrosa because of the jokes people make about Robin and Law being so similar.

Timeskip: This is it lads, it's the one true icon itself, the post look! ☺️ When I sit back and look at it I see all the people this look is influenced by and want to cry at how masterful it really is. (Now, I do wanna say that I didn't come up with this nor am I the first to say it and I am definitely probably looking too much into this but) The yellow belt is taken from Shanks' red belt the first time we see him and the Shanks look Luffy is more familiar with. Now onto the jacket. I know it won't stand out as to why for most but it's Ace inspired! When Ace leave to become a pirate, the start of his adventure, he has his jacket open and Luffy having his jacket open also shows his scar from the ending of Ace's adventure. I also really appreciate how no one hides scars in this anime. Also, someone said that the style of the jacket and it's fancy frills could be in reference to Sabo's little jabot collar and honestly I do see it. it's quite subtle unlike Shanks' but not as hard to catch as Ace's so I enjoy thinking that it's there too. Lastly, he still has his cuffed shorts and kimono sandels because it's still Luffy's outfit at the end of the day and he is still who is is, just with a stronger appreciation of what people have done for him now. It's also his colour pallette for the pure fact he is the main character n needs his pallet. also sometimes he just has normal wooden sandels but the same outfit sometimes, it's a small detil a lot of people overlook but I prefer the sound of his Kimono sandels 😊

Dressrosa: I love this outfit cos it's stilly but also has very nice vibes. Looks ready for the beach but is really throwing hands and that's the best kind of outfit, it's a nice expectation subversion tbh. I also like how he tried to hide the Straw hat but not... All of it? And I love how the crew didn't actually question it either. It would have been super easy for one of them to just tell him to leave it behind or something but I do really love how respectful they always are of the hat. I myself have a hat that's super important to me and when I loose it I go mad.

Whole Cake Island: I love this arc for outfits! I swear if the actual content of it doesn't kill me, the act looks will 😭 it's all so magical and it knows it is! Like I said before, white is a good color on him as he has black hair but for the same reason, so is black! In this arcs outfit range, the Staw hat seems almost invisible and his outfit gets less and less 'Luffy' as the arc gose on showing this is not about him. He's not the focus of this arc and you can see that in a lot of the outfits thb. I also like the lack of blue and yellow, 2/3 of his colors as Sanji is often associated with those too as we've talked about before. Also, I like the little red strips on the white jacket with the gold buttons, idk why and I think it's nice that the last 2 outfits are so simple in general, it's a nice look for him. oh, what's that? A Pink jabot? Your killing me Lu, straight up killing me here lil' bro! Side note, is this the first time in canon Luffy has worn a suit jacket or is it the only time I've noticed? Cos DAMM!! Shits sick as fuck and I actually love that when wearing a suit jacket as such he always keep short on 😆

Spa Island, Z's Ambition & Strong World: WHOS READY FOR A RELAXING SUNNY DAAAYY!? (pun not intended but very much enjoyed) I actually adore the fact Luffy still tries to go swimming cos it was his favourite thing to do as a kid so like fuck Luffy is gonna give up on that. He's got his safety measures ready, what more do you want from him? I mean I personally want him not to swim with his hat on cos it's litrally Staw and that's not good for water but anyway Z's Ambition, am I right!? The top is so fucking cute and I just noticed those shorts are also ✨designer✨ fancy man!! Now, the pic of Zoro is the one I missed out before and it's also from Z's Ambition. I love that Luffy has the shark top but Zoro has the ocean shorts. I really love Zoro in this purple cos and thick white stripes really work with the ocean waves. It's really well put together and hes got dark brown sandels on to off set all the white but keep the purple from being a stand out color, it's cool! Than the last Luffy looks like he's at a fashion show. It looks like the shorts come from a kids set the shark top belongs to. Imagine those together, it'd be so cute. However, it isn't an ocean patten, those are clouds cos Nami has a bikini top with the same pattern in Skypiea and it's actually one of my favourites for her.

Boss Luffy Historical Special! This filler AU is so much fun, I think any it a lot. He has his hair up in that super cute and useless way that doesn't actually do much but I do have my hair like that a lot n it's just... nice? Idk, it's strange buy I like he did that. I really enjoy his Kimono more that the actual Wano one cos it's a lot more simple look. The Sai being tucked in in that way is also cool but kinda makes it look like it's stabbing him a bit 👁️👄👁️. I like the pin strips being like a faded purpleish cos if you just glance at it, it makes it look it fuzzy. The belt also looks very nice with the middle ligter bit. It really feels like the Wano one was inspired by this is a way cos of the color matches. Like, it's probably not but still.

3D2Y, Adventure of Nebulandia 😍 & Heart of Gold: Hat-less Luffy is both a sin and a blessing. Regardless, I LOVE OP BOYS IN HOODIES!! I had to show you this specific the 3D2Y because we don't see the hood and it's soooo cute cos it a paw 😍 but also 😬 cos it's like... Kuma's paw the thing that cause 3D2Y in the first place. But that's also why it's so cool at the same time and AHHHHHH 😄 Now! On to Nebulandia! I really like this movie but also in canon, how does he have that jumper? Who made it for him and can I have one? It's Usopp flag design so I guess it could be him but he doesn't seem the type. Point is I want one. Last of this set is some really cosy outfits!! "How much fur?" "Yes" am I right? Like the first one is sooooo cosy with all the fur! Plus, a funky new bamboo hat, always a good thing to have a new hat. I appreciate that you can see the zips on these too. Then the orange turtle neck one with little fluffy bits is just here cos it's so out of his usual looks, I had to at least mention it.

Strong world & Film Z: The shorts on the first one are really cute cos it's a light rosey pink with red fur and just a plain solid dark blue colour jacket works really well. Not to mention the fact he has a super cute orange and yellow flight helmet hat with goggles on under the Staw hat. The 2 bag straps also make an X which is a nice detail. The 2nd outfits in this movie are super fuckin cool ngl. It's so strange to see them all dress in black and have guns but I like the red shirt for him with the yellow highlighted parts. Makes the Straw hat actually work with the outfit instead of ignoring it. Film Z brings us the same flight helmet hat just brighter and without the goggles but also opens with this T-Shirt and Luffy being silly with it. I think that's the only reason to mention it, it's funny. Then the obligation pirate outfit, always stunning plus the meat belt.

Film: Gold & Stampede (also used in Cidre Guild): these are my top 3 Luffy outfits no matter what else I see. I love the straw cowboy hat sooooo much cos it's very Luffy. I like the balls they has as a team to choose white for all of them, considering they are all quite messy people, living for that dad shirt and I like the Golden chain around his neck but am always confused as to why it was never used against him. Like dude could and should have tried to choke him at least once, right? Anyway, the dress! Now, the dress isn't actually that good but it's my favourite because it shows how Luffy has no fucks about gendered things. On to of that, a big pink flower is wonderful and look at his confidences in it, he's so proud of it the boom, Nami told him he can't wear it! Lastly, the Stampede outfit!!! Just like the Nebulandia jumper, I have no idea who made it but it's irrelevant cos it's beautiful and I want it so badly. I like that it's white and red stripes, gives thenprefect vibes for Stampedes opening. The shirt is actually too big for him, you can see on his arms but it's actually super cute. I love the simple look of these shorts then the fact his yellow belt is replaced with white bandages and the black on the kimono sandels are now red? It's such a simple pallet and it's truly the best!

I also just wanna add, I think it's really cute when Luffy has the Straw hat on his back just cos his hair is really cute. Idk why, it's looks kinda cursed but cute at the same time
