Got a bit of a rag tag group of reinforcements for my growing Rasalhague Dominion cluster! About half of these are mechs I actually intend to use in games (as previously mentioned the Horned Owl is a favorite design archetype of mine, the Summoner is about as idiot-proof a heavy cav omni as you can make, and the Piranha is cheap fill with a heinous close-range bite) but the Hellbringer, Huntsman, and Mist Lynx feel a bit more awkward to me. Idk they'll probably take to the table at some point

Wednesday, July 6: Hellbringer, “Iron Gates”

Hellbringer apparently tried to live up to their name by repeatedly invoking Slayer, with “Iron Gates” featuring a “Postmortem”-esque riff and gait in addition to some very Lombardo-like drumming from Josh Bennett.  Hell, Luke Bennett’s vocals even had that Araya grunt/snarl thing going on.  To be fair, Slayer was decades past their creative prime by the time Awakened from the Abyss rolled around, so this kind of homage, obvious as it was, felt like a nice throwback.

One day S/O comes up to the skelly and tells em that he’s gonna be a father. And before anything more can be said, S/O pulls out a puppy from behind their back. Dog parents

Undertale Sans - You can see the brief panic in his eyes before his sockets land on the puppy. He's so relieved and so happy. Sans loves dogs, and that's a long time he's planning to get one. The puppy is getting squished between you two as he grabs you to kiss you. Also, he kidnaps the puppy and goes to cuddle in the couch. You're not getting the puppy back tonight lol. Or him by the way.

Undertale Papyrus - He blinks, quite in shock. He didn't expect this, but oh well! Papyrus is unsure about the dog at first, claiming it's a lot of work, but man, the second he realizes he has a buddy to run in the morning without needing to wait for Undyne to wake up, he's the happiest man on Earth.

Underswap Sans - His mind exploded the second you said he was going to be a father. When you pull out the dog, he's so confused. What? Sorry, he didn't hear any of the things you just said, he's literally traumatized. He grabs the dog and squishes him against him to calm down. Jeez, don't scare him like that! ... Wait a second, you have a dog?!

Underswap Papyrus - What a rollercoaster. He thought he was finally going to be a dad, then screamed when he saw the puppy, then got sad because you're actually not pregnant, then screamed again when he realized he's holding a big fur baby and he's so happy! He's not sure what he's feeling anymore, but he's very happy to have a dog.

Underfell Sans - "got a mutt? why?" He's that guy who doesn't want the dog at first, but then the puppy becomes obsessed with him, and in less than two days he's a dog guy. Red is too soft to resist the puppy. The guy even bought pink little dresses for his new baby girl. What you're going to do?

Underfell Papyrus - Betrayal. You dare to take that thing home when he has a cat already? What are you trying to do? Get rid of Doomfanger? Because he won't! He takes his baby girl and growls at you and your mutt. In the morning, you find him sleeping in the couch with the puppy and the cat because the dog cried during the night and Edge couldn't bear letting him all alone in the dark. Yeah. The dog is adopted.

Horrortale Sans - Oak boops the puppy nose. "smol." He's madly in love with the puppy, and protective. That's his puppy. He needs to protect. No one gets close to his baby (except S/O). He loves dogs, he loves all animals really. He's happy.

Horrortale Papyrus - "OH COME ONE, WE ALREADY HAVE A LOT OF ANIMALS IN THE FARM. THIS IS TOO MUCH." "Oh... Ok, I can bring it back if it..." "ABSOLUTELY NOT, IT'S OUR DOG." You don't send the new baby back to prison. But please... Warn him next time, so you can discuss it before? It's a big responsibility.

Swapfell Sans - Uh. When he said he wanted an heir, he didn't think about that. But oh well, it will have to do. He's calling his dog Hellbringer and he will raise him like a Lord of Darkness even though the dog can barely understand the sit command. At least it's entertaining.

Swapfell Papyrus - He squeaks like a toy. That's his newest superpower. It drives the dog crazy. You're going to hear this squeak a hell lot in the next few years. He never gets bored of it, unlike you. But it's not like you can do anything to stop him either. Deal with it. He's an annoying squeak toy now.

Fellswap Gold Sans - He hyperventilated when you said he's a father, and even more when you showed him the dog. He's not an animal person. He's actually not a baby person either. He's both relieved you're not pregnant and horrified you brought a filthy mutt inside his spotless house. He doesn't have a choice to get used to it. He likes the dog from far away. At least Coffee is happy.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's overexcited. He wants a dog for a long time but Wine always said no. It's his childhood dream becoming true right now. He jumps at your neck and kisses you everywhere, crushing you in a hug. He's so happy, you can't even know how much he wanted that.

Be greedy. Gojou sensei always tells him to be greedy. He refused, listened to the moral of a world he never belonged to and now he’s paying the price. Yuuji, Nobara and you are all stuck on hospital beds, completely passed out. He’s not sure how he got all of you out, how all of you are even alive, and there’s barely a scratch on him.

“It wasn’t your fault kid,” Shoko says softly, watching him watch some of the only people he’s ever loved lay motionless on beds, barely alive. He reaches out and touches your hair gently. It’s the same color as his well there isn’t a word for what Gojou Satoru is to him, even if he is your father.

He scoffs, says, “Then why aren’t I laying down with them? Why aren’t I hurt like they are?”

She shrugs at him, and to anyone else she’d be completely apathetic,, but he knows Shoko, grew up with her odd style of babysitting. She’s just as scared for him as she is for the others.

“Would you leave me alone with them?” He says quietly,, makes his face into something that most people would call guilt. She nods gently and leaves him alone in the room with his partners.

He gently moves Nobara’s hair away from her hair, and takes her emergency makeup remover out of her bag and carefully cleans her skin so she won’t wake up with a break out.

“Fushiguro Megumi,” Sukuna says, more gently then he’s ever heard the curse, “Do you know what you did?”

“No. Everything past Nobara going down is a blur.” The curse laughs softly. “More often then not, I’d force you into a deal with me for the information but I owe you a debt, and to give you this information is repayment. Are we in agreement?”

Megumi stares at the broken bodies of the people that he loves and nods. He doesn’t care in this moment. Satoru could snap and finally get rid of the higher ups and he would not give a shit.

“What happened Sukuna?”

The curse hums a laugh. “The hellbringer,” his nickname for you, “found out that there was a mission near by. I don’’t know why they chose to go on a mission that we both know they aren’t strong enough for but they did. The brat found out and took Nobara to go after them. No one told you.”

He cuts off Sukuna with a sharp, “I know that. What happened after Nobara went down?” Sukuna laughs, the sound rich and triumphant. “You called on your domain expansion.” He shrugs, “done that before, still dioesn’t explain why I’m not hurt.”

He gets a snap of teeth as a warning before Sukuna continues. “It wasn’t perfect work but it was beautiful. You summoned several demon dogs, and all at once all of your shikigami were attacking in tandem and you went after another curse with your blades. To say that you left a bloodbath in your wake would be an understatement.”

He waits for a few minutes, makes sure that Sukuna’s done talking before asking, “How did we all get back here?”

“You brought them back, used your ability to disappear into the shadows to warp. It was rather inventive. Ive never quite met a Zenin like you Fushiguro Megumi.”

Be Greedy.

Every single time they train together Satoru tells him this, tells him that he can not progress if he doesn’t get out of his head.

“I was greedy,” he says to himself, thinks of how desperate he was to get out of there with the people he loves, remember how he forgot about collaborate damage and trusted his technique to keep himself alive.

“Were you really?” A half amused, half furious voice drawls. He doesn’t turn around but doesn’t flinch when Satoru hooks his head on top of Megumi’s.

He doesn’t push the man’s hands away when he flicks the blood off of Megumi’s face. “I guess. I don’t remember much after Nobara went down.” It was like the haibara incident all over again he does not say. The higher ups have been after them all since each one of them has entered Jujitsu Society. He never met Nanami’s best friend but he knows the story well enough to know that it’s happening again.

“It was odd. Somehow inútil found out about a mission and decided to take it. Without them we could of handled it but we found them hurt and almost dead.”

He doesn’t have to move to turn to know the too smiley, absolute furious face that Satoru is making. “You’re certain that no one told them?”

“not as far as I know. The others know how to treat inútil.” even Yuuji with his bleeding heart knows that it isn’t safe for them on the battlefield, that it’s better for everyone if they’re safe at home.

Satoru is silent for a long moment before he says, very gently, “I’m going to go have a a talk with the higher ups,.”

“Leave a few for me would you? I have an idea I’d like to try.”

Satoru ruffles his hair as he leaves.

“Sukuna,” he says to the quiet room.

“Yes Fushiguro Megumi?”

“What would you want in exchange for training me?”

The curse grins something violent. “That’s easy, a night with you and the brats.”

“Consider it handled”
