To follow up, I am giving them a little test drive. If you hear me laughing in the background, then you know that I am gratefully amused. 🤣 Yes, they kissed.
Thank you again @heph for them and a cute sticker!
Hephaestus: I'm sorry... I-I'm probably just boring you with all of this metals facts.
Aphrodite: No, no. I think it's cool. It's just your passionate it's just impressive to me...
*Hephaestus blushes since no one ever listened*
Another commission from @heph, this time of Helena with Astarion!
I wanted something of the two of them that showed how much they enjoy each other's company without having to be incredibly intimate on a physical level, and I think that this captures their dynamic perfectly! Helena is open to physical intimacy for Astarion's sake, but she doesn't feel a strong desire for it personally. What she enjoys is having someone she can chat and joke around with, and she feels like she gets to do that completely with the vampire man. They're one of my favorite dynamics out of my ocs and their companion romances, and I'm so glad to have a piece that reflects that!
Finally, my original planned trilogy is complete. Now I just need to get them printed, and my plan all the way back from October can finally be finished!
I typically don't make this type of stuff especially with Scp characters but I was having a bit of a rough day yesterday and needed something to lighten my mood.
I won't bore you with the details on what the heck a HC-# is other than it started with two fan kids I made in like 2017?
Actually this whole comic isn't actually what I had in mind on how these characters would interact (035 showing concern, 173 physically talking, the two HCs at a young age) blah
Here is another character update, one that was very much needed and a long time coming.
This is Hephaestus, an ifrit-inspired character that would be one of many who were enslaved by powerful magics and turned into a familiar.
I originally came up with him back in 2006; during that time I was able to work on a few things for him, but it sadly resulted in much less art than I’d like to admit.
He’s been sitting idle, so I finally decided to buckle down and give him a much needed update, making some changes that made him fit better with the concept of the “Na’Daar” lore, and add in a few other details that were inspired by the many new depictions and updates to Ifrit from Final Fantasy.
We swapped Gale and Astarions classes in a "what if" scenario. Here's comp I sketched + Rogue!Gale concept :] We honestly think he'd be a terrible rogue lol
Hi!!! I love your baldurs gate art! I was just wondering if you had any tips for drawing Gale and Astarion, *especially* their hair? I love the way you've simplified it!! 💖
Hello! Thank you so much! 🥺 honestly I don't think I'm very on model drawing these two, but here are the things I keep in mind drawing their hair!
The little cowlick flip on Astarion's hair is usually at the left side of the head! I change sides depending on which angle I'm drawing because. Anime. [I think so long as a character looks consistently like the same guy in anything I draw, it's okay to be a little fucky with it]
Gale is much simpler to draw, but I struggle drawing him from the front as the hair truly looks like a helmet from the front and it's unflattering with my anime ass 😭😭😭 other than that, there's basically only 3 portions that I keep in mind!
