on the one hand, Raph is glad that you're comfortable enough with Splinter to turn to him for comfort during your grieving period. but on the other hand, he wants to comfort you too.

he doesn't say anything that night, but when you come by the next day he pulls you aside and confesses to you that he overheard your conversation the night before.

he pulls you into a hug and tells you how sorry he is that you're going through this loss, and you let it out on his shoulder for a few minutes.

and you're grateful for his comfort, but you also take the chance to explain to Raph that while you do welcome his comfort, you're specifically going to Splinter because he reminds you of your grandfather.

Raph gets it, of course, and he encourages you to come as often as you need, and that they'll all be there to help you through this time.

from then on, Raph takes special care to keep his other brothers busy whenever you come to see Splinter.

sometimes you invite him to join you, and the three of you will talk late into the night. it doesn't make everything better, but it does feel nice to have them there for you.

you’re actually pretty surprised he hasn’t caught on yet because everyone knows Leo has killer insomnia and you sort of figured he would have caught you and Splinter sitting in the living room talking all night by now.

but the thing about Leo is that he’s kinda got a late night routine going and he doesn’t usually stray from that routine. he gets himself a cup of tea and either does something in his room or goes to hang out with his insomnia twin Donnie.

he doesn’t really go near the living room at any point in the night and so he remains utterly clueless for a couple of weeks.

he also usually has headphones on listening to music while he moves around at night, but one particular night he went to make tea and left the headphones in his room, and ended up hearing you crying as he made his way back.

of course that just wasn’t okay in his book, so Leo rushes in to try and see what’s going on. he doesn’t know what he’s expecting, but it’s definitely not the sight of you crying on Splinter’s shoulder while the rat comforts you.

you hadn’t planned on telling Leo or his brothers just yet, but he’s clearly worried and you’d feel bad telling him to leave without explaining why you’re crying, so you just let it all out in the moment and tell him about your grandfather.

Leo sits on your other side and hugs you for a long time, letting you cry some more while he rubs your back and tells you how sorry he is. he’s big on words but he knows words can’t fix this so for once he stays largely quiet outside of telling you that he’s there for you.

this becomes a routine thing for him. Leo pays attention now and if he sees that you’re staying late or if you come by after the others have gone to bed, he’ll make three cups of tea and bring them to the living room.

sometimes he stays with you and Splinter, but for the most part he just drops the drinks off and checks in with you before leaving and giving the two of you space.

he realizes that your time with Splinter is helping and doesn’t want to intrude on that, so he’ll really only stay if you or Splinter invite him into the conversation. even then though he doesn’t stay very long and will claim to be tired before leaving the room.

you absolutely know he’s lying, but you know why he’s lying and it warms your heart a little.

Donnie realizes pretty quickly that something’s going on with you. he might struggle with emotions but he’s pretty observant and picks up on the shift in your mood after a couple of days.

he doesn’t ask about it because he doesn’t know how to start that conversation, nor would he know what to say after finding out that was bothering you.

so he just worries in silence for a while. he tries lifting your spirits with puns or by showing you whatever he’s working on, but it feels like lately you’ve been more interested in spending time with Splinter.

and Donnie gets it, he likes quality time with his family even if he says otherwise, especially with his dad, but he just doesn’t understand why.

it really eats at him for a couple of weeks before he finally just bites the bullet and asks you what’s going on.

he tries to be gentle about it but he can’t hide that he’s worried and his tone is urgent as he asks you if you’re doing okay.

you knew he or one of the others would ask, you’d just been hoping it would happen later rather than sooner.

but you’d promised yourself that if you were asked, you would tell the truth, and so when Donnie asks you tell him that your grandfather died.

Donnie feels terrible hearing that, and immediately asks if there’s anything he can do for you to help. comfort isn’t his strong suit so he figures it’s better to ask outright and see what would best help instead of just awkwardly trying different comfort methods until finding something that stuck.

you tell him that the thing that’s been helping the most has been spending time with Splinter because he reminds you of your grandfather, but you also tell him that just having your normal routine with him and his brothers is helping too.

Donnie takes that to heart and starts inviting you to hang out even more, whether that be in the lair or out and about in the city. it’s never anything special, just the same shenanigans you normally get into with the boys, but Donnie feels like he’s helping by inviting you out and you enjoy the time you guys spend together.

but beyond that, Donnie also starts giving you a heads-up anytime he knows Splinter’s free, just in case you want to come spend time with him. since that’s what you said helped the most, he keeps a very sharp eye out and distracts his brothers so that you can spend some time with his dad.

you give up and explain that your grandfather passed away, and Mikey comes to the assumption that you’re going to Splinter out of a sense of familiarity, which he gets.

still, he wraps you up in a hug and tells you that you aren’t alone in this and that he and his brothers are there for you too, whatever you need.

a few days after that conversation, Mikey gifts you with a little blank journal. he says it’s for you to write down or draw out your feelings in, and once you start using it you find it incredibly helpful.

Mikey sits you down about once a week after that, just to check in with you and make sure you’re doing alright, but for the most part he gives you space and lets you decide who you want to go to for what.

and when you feel up to telling the others, Mikey’s right there to support you.

He can handle dead bodies to an extent when they're on a medical examiners table or dead due to his actions. He CANNOT handle you elbows deep in someone's stomach cavity because your 'work' doesnt need their liver that just so happens to be damaged beyond repair.

Harley Quinn: To her, its like you're performing autopsies. For her associates- your working is disturbing af. Meanwhile she doesn't bat an eye. She even taunts her fellow rogues with your creations. When your not looking she'll be kicking them and shit. When you catch her, she pouts because you're pissed at her for damaging your hard work. She wants to watch you make an army and will even get a hold of a few dead bodies she think would be great assets for you.

Victor Zsasz: He has no shame nor any fucks to give. He'll come in eating a slice of pepperoni pizza as he watches you work. You end up having to ask him to take a step back incase any pizza gets into the dead body you currently have open. "Want a bite?" He asks offering you his pizza. "I'm a bit...elbows deep right now, Victor." You replied. "I'll feed it to you- open up!" This is smart people shit that he knows he cannot do. Mind control? No problems but this. Nope. Never in a million years. He isn't a miracle worker. You are though and he's proud of you.

Mad Hatter: Has a very basic understanding of death when not doing very well. So if these people are up and walking around then they simply can't be dead. Now he absolutely does have the capacity to understand when his conditions aren't fogging his mind and it scares him. He's scared they'll hurt him or they'll hurt you and really just bounces between the two. Any other time that he's not himself, he'll quite literally walk around your work and have no idea that they're actually dead but think they're instead transcended into stronger beings though mindless.

Awase - he doesnt really know how to help and hes to scared to ask so whenever the pain is bothering you a little more than usual he will just stand there and maybe give you an ice pack/heating pad <3

Sen - while he does do little things to make the pain better he knows that it is constant and wont go away so he more so focuses on taking your mind off of the pain

Kamakiri - hes actually surprisingly good at helping people with pain (maybe hes accidently cut one too many ppl in the past or smthn) he knows what you need before you do

Kuroiro - hes overall an akward and shy person so he doesn't really know what to do to help but he does spend multiple nights researching so he can learn how to help! Just tell him what you need and he will get it!

Kendo - she knows that the pain is constant but she does little things for you each day to make it more tolerable <3 (like carrying around pain meds and heating pads and such)

Kodai - she spends so much time just listening to you rant and she would do everything she can to understand what your going through <3

Komori - you are not allowed to do certain things when shes around. It may not even help with the pain but she likes to think her doing these little tasks for you help a lot!

Shiozaki - she prays for you to be healed each and every day and the time she doesnt spend praying she spends with you. Either just hanging out or trying to help ease the pain <3

Shishida - he is constantly making you tea and snacks for you throughout the day. He also offers to go to the doctors with you if you have an appointment <3

Shoda - hes constantly hovering near you in case you need anything but he wont act without your permission/ without you asking him to

Pony - ya know how some animals can sense if you are hurt? She can kinda do the same thing by reading your facial expressions and such. She always asks where your hurting and how she can help <3

Tsubaraba - he knows the pain is constant and wont completely go away no matter what (he had to look it up when you told him lmao) so he focuses more on making you laugh and be happy to hopefully take your mind off the pain

Tetsutetsu - he is your emotional support idiot honestly. He has no idea whats going on or what to do but he does everything he can to help

Tokage - she gives constant reassurance and does everything she can to make sure you are feeling as good as you can mentally! (Despite the pain)

Manga - hes constantly doing little tasks for you to the point where if he sees you try to pour your own glass of water he will (gently ofc) take it from you and do it for you lmao. He just wants to help

Once when she was twelve, a friend mentioned that she taught there was a monster in the corn fields. Lily, 0 fear and Super Interested in monsters, went in to look for it. And she found it! And though she doesnt remember much of it afterwards, she holds it as her bestest memory.

She has 0 control over her Shadow Powers and during a particularly dark night (new moon), she got stuck in an intangible shadow person form. Unable to be heard or seen by anyone else, it was the most isolated she had ever felt in her life. It is probably the one and only time she had a panic attack.

HAHAHAHAHAH n o. I change Lily's design like a girl changes clothes. I barely ever drew her the same to begin with, and overal she's gone through a few major redesigns, and plenty of smaller ones.

Chuuya with a s/o who's ability gives them brutal strenght by the amount of adrenaline they have. Carmilla’s treatment of you would likely differ depending on whether you are a human or vampire, if you are a vampire she’ll likely treat you with more respect than if you were a human and she may even let you join the council of sisters  but don't get the wrong idea, you arent and will never be her equal.

if you are human she’ll treat you like a pet,  because to her that’s what you are but that doesn't mean she loves you any less than if you were a vampire. Ooh so I actually have thought of this before omg I cant believe I never posted it before aaa sorry if I go off the rails for this one 🥺🥺🥺

I like to think that they had their first kiss after their 2nd date. They had a movie date and decided to take a walk in the park a bit before he drove her home. He offers to walk her to her door and as they reached her front door, he told her he really enjoyed the date and apologise if he acted awkward and nervous throughout their date since he rarely landed on a 2nd date and as he was apologising, Chloe gave her a peck on his cheek, giggled and thanked him for spending the night with her.

He froze for a while as she bids her goodnight but as she walks away, somehow, something in his head tells him he should make the next move so he pulled her closer to his chest. They locked eyes into each other before slowly leaning in and sealed their lips together.

Utonium has not kissed anyone for so long until that point, he has been single and lonely for a long time. It was unreal for him at first because he always thought she was out of his league for someone as plain and nerdy as he is but when he felt her hand winds his neck, he starts to believe this is real, it's happening and she chose him and he felt really good, in a warm and pleasant way after he left. He actually screams inside his car for a minute because of how unreal it was to him (unknown to him, Chloe actually saw him losing his mind in his car from the view of her window lol)

Chloe had her fair share of kisses, but she felt her first kiss with Utonium was one of the memorable one they had because she had gotten over an unhealthy relationship at that time and she always thought he was really sweet and loving and right after they kissed, she has a very strong feeling that he's the absolute right person for her.

I do feel that they still get the same fuzzy warm feelings after they kissed, especially after not seeing each other for a while or when they had a moment together, but I do think the first one will always be the memorable one for them :')

I haven't thought of them being married yet (I'm not ready I just got over a previous f/o lol) but I think Chloe wouldn't want to marry him just yet. She's still kinda get a hang on dating a single dad and she just started to feel comfortable around his kids, but she's not really fully commited to the idea of being married just yet.

Utonium on the other hand would put a ring on her in a heartbeat if he could but he doesnt want to pressure her, not when they only dated for less than a year, but I feel that he would dropped a few subtle hints about it in their conversation in hopes that Chloe would consider it in the future.

Utonium is exceptionally great at comforting people, it might be because of his paternal instinct or him being much older and experienced than her, so it's expected that he's good at making people feeling much better about themselves. Chloe is lucky she's able to lean on him when she's feeling the blues because she swears she feels a lot better after talking to him.

So I do feel it could be a little awkward for Chloe to comfort him because she doesn't really know what to do when Utonium feels down since she feels she wont be as good as how he did to her when he gave her his signature pep talk. But she still would try her best to make him feel better and be extra nice to him ;w;
