(An Alternate Take on God Releasing Hell) Cas: What is all this? Dean: Probably the end of the world. Sam: I mean, technically it would just be the end of humanity’s reign as the planet’s dominant life form. You know, like when the dinosaurs-- Dean: Now? Really? You’re gonna do this now? Sam: Well excuse me, but it’s how I deal with stress!

Au where coffeeboy!Mush spends his sweet time making a heart with an eyepatch with hearts around it on Kid Blink’s coffee and Kid just grabs a spoon and stirs it before even looking at it

Hieda is happy to be with Shiro and the others but is also sad that he feels kinda distant from them. Like they have this life that he couldn't be part of even though they act like he is part of it (in ways he doesn't even understand as he doesn't know what happened while he was body snatched). Shiro notices and thinks of how to show Hieda they do care about him as a person and not just as a body Shiro was forced to inhabit.
Silver clan bonding experience time! (Shiro can ask Munakata for tips.) I could actually see this happening too, like obviously the Silvers don’t want to make Hieda feel unwelcome or anything and I think they very much want him to be part of the group but then at the same time it’s hard to mentally separate Hieda from ‘Isana Yashiro,’ like they’ll start talking about things that happened while Shiro was in the body and not even think about it until Hieda mentions he doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Assuming they tell him the whole story of what happened I could see Hieda feeling a little left out, like he’s glad to have friends and he can see they want to include him but he still feels like an outsider, like the events of the series created a bond between the members of Hakumaitou and he’s the only one who wasn’t really ‘there’ for all of that. The others try to act like he was, as if he was some special person that they couldn’t have done all this without, but really to Hieda it’s like their only interest in him is because he was the guy who got possessed.
Hieda tries to keep these feelings secret but he also starts slowly pulling away from everyone, maybe thinking to himself that he’ll just go back to being that person who was so forgettable that when he vanished no one even noticed he was missing. Shiro happens to overhear Hieda talking to himself one day when Hieda thinks he’s alone, like Hieda’s hanging out in the dorm and Neko and Kuroh have just left, Shiro’s in the kitchen but Hieda isn’t aware of it. Hieda mumbles that he wishes they wouldn’t act so friendly, it just makes things worse when they try to act like an outsider is one of them. This makes Shiro concerned, he truly does feel grateful to Hieda and he wants Hieda to be able to find friends and companions the way Shiro did.
Actually it would be funny if Shiro really did end up going to Munakata for advice, like as a King Shiro still isn’t terribly used to having clansmen (and he does like to think of Hieda as one, even if he technically isn’t) and even besides that Shiro himself is also getting used to having companions and being with other people. Munakata is extremely pleased that someone is asking his advice on how to get close to others and of course he immediately suggests Shiro consider the wonder of the bonding experience. Shiro thinks about this and decides there’s no help for it, Munakata is right what they need is a good Hakumaitou bonding experience.
He talks to Kuroh and Neko and together they plan the Great Hieda Tooru bonding experience, where they’ll all go out for a day with Hieda together and get to know him better. Hieda is a little blindsided when they tell him, Shiro saying that this day is for Hieda so he can decide what to do — where they go and what they do, Shiro, Kuroh and Neko want to know what it is Hieda likes and what makes him happy. Hieda admits he doesn’t have a lot of hobbies or passions and Shiro says that’s fine, even if it’s just something he enjoys a little they want to know about it, because it’s long past time that they truly get to know Hieda Tooru, not the body that was Isana Yashiro but the person who’s in front of them now.

“long hair on guys doesn’t make them less masculine. think keanu reeves, jason momoa, danny trejo, or the guy at your local dive bar who rides a motorcycle”
*the crowd nods*
“so long hair doesn’t necessarily determine masculinity”
*the crowd, more hesitant, still nodding*
“butches can have long hair—“
*GUNSHOT*

Starting to think a cooler headcanon for Clark’s upbringing might just be that the entire town of Smallville collectively decided to just go with it and accept that Martha and John's kid has superpowers, but we don't talk about it.
Someone's tractor gets stuck and nothing can get it out? "Be a dear and run down to the Kents, would you? Ask for Clark?"
"Why Clark, we need a machine--"
"Run along now."
Or if he kicks too hard and the football vanishes into the upper stratosphere, no it didn't, we all collectively saw it land over there *vague hand movements*

so the other day a castmate of mine was talking about having once been a little girl (at this point, i all but short-circuited because said castmate is a man in his mid-sixties and my brain had its little moment of “!!!!! trans person!!! and he’s OLD!!!!”) and being asked if there was a famous person he looked up to or wanted to look or be more like. and he said— again, as a little girl at this point— “santa claus!” and everyone thought he was weird for it.
and this story doesn’t read as well over text because you really have to see the guy. but he looks just like santa claus. he’s got the long white hair and the beard and the belly and everything. and i just. the amount of secondhand trans joy i experienced is truly insane. i’m gonna get old! i’m gonna get old the way i wanna get old! hey everybody you’re gonna get old; we’ve been doing it for years!
anyway shoutout to the santa claus of my cast and to every older trans person we love you so fucking much

i don't think people really understand what's happening in gaza. with each passing day that sees more and more palestinians dead, it's becoming easier and easier for those in the west to perceive them as nothing more than a statistic. they might engage w the occasional palestine post, sure, but it's just as easy to scroll right past that moments later w no real outrage for the genocide retained.
it's vital to stay reminded that palestinians who are with us today won't be with us tomorrow. it's happening every second of every minute of every hour, and it's relentless. somewhere in gaza a little girl is losing her mother, a little boy is watching his siblings bleed to death, elderly people are infirm with starvation and illness, palestinian women and girls are being sexually assaulted and kept in cages, fathers are leaving tents to find food for their families and not coming back. this is all happening right now, and it's a direct result of the west's complacency. it's a direct result of their not seeing arabs as people worth saving.
it might be hard to compute as a westerner, but this is real. don't let your privilege blind you to your humanity.

can i say something. for years i thought the joke of the song short skirt/long jacket by cake was that he wanted a woman who was hung like a horse. like i thought when he says jacket it was a last-second fakeout because he very obviously meant to say cock. and the rest of the things in the song were just her personality and interests. which were secondary to her awesome penis
