cartoons where the characters dont age are all fun and games until u keep up with one for a decade and the characters ur emotionally attached to are still like 12 and u feel like a traitor for growing up without them but also u feel like they somehow abandoned u by staying the same and emotionally ur still that little 7 year old who just met them and looked up to them sm and emotionally ur still that 12 year old who didnt understand why u were different from everyone else around u (pov undiagnosed autistic) and this strange colourful world of living drawings where everyone takes thing literally and everyone works together and understands and issues are always resolved in one episode feels so safe and more real than the real world and these strange colourful drawing-people act like u and understand u better than ur real friends do but in reality ur almost a grown up and ppl are telling u to leave that world behind but to stop watching would be to betray these ppl u grew up loving and just bc they betrayed u by not ageing doesnt mean they deserve ur abandonment
