#i love the way you interpreted the symbolism of the chairs

hey so can I get a scenario with rottmnt Donnie where he keeps stealing his lovers purple stuff, he notices them not having purple stuff around anymore and one day they are like “yea so I don’t buy purple anymore. Too much stuff is disappearing. Hmmm I wonder where it keeps vanishing too? “ and they give him a knowing smirk?
Purple Habits Die Hard (rise Donnie x gn Reader)
Tumblr media
(Hello! Thank you very much for the requests-I am really enjoying them and promise I’m working through them-
I am open to more requests, guidelines are HERE, and I’m not saying that I specifically would like writing some Donatello angst but yes I absolutely would-
Either way, I hope y’all enjoy!)
Word Count: 1082
You didn’t love him anymore.
That was the only logical conclusion Donnie could reach.
Was he grasping at straws with that hypothesis? Likely. But the fact that there were even straws to grasp in the first place was enough to raise his suspicion.
Data point 1: You hadn’t worn purple in weeks. Not really a commitment, definitely not a symbol of possession, wearing his color was just a symbol that he was in your thoughts. The lack of that implied that he wasn’t plaguing your mind like you did his. At least, that’s what he picked up from it.
Data point 2: You barely invited him to hang out anymore. The last few times you two had seen each other had all been initiated by him, three to be exact, and all of those instances had occurred at the lair. Not your residence, not some fun locale, the lair.
Data point 3: …
Well, to be completely honest, he only had the two. However, how unscientific or illogical his hypothesis was mattered not.
Something was awry.
And he was going to get to the bottom of it.
A text message drew Donnie out of his downward spiral line of reasoning. It was from you, alleging that you were almost to the lair.
Right. He had been so busy plotting and scheming that he nearly forgot the subject of such endeavors, and that he had invited you over for investigation and/or confrontation.
He needed to get ready.
He tugged off the lavender sweatshirt he’d taken from your place a couple of months ago, the chain of your stolen lilac bracelet jangling as he did so.
Oh yeah. He should probably take that off, too.
He didn’t want to seem like a kleptomaniac.
He barely had time to chuck the articles into the deep recesses of his lab and act like he was busy working on some project before you knocked and entered the room.
“Heya, D.” You plopped down on the desk chair adjacent to his seat and spun around once.
His answer was a disinterested hum.
You summed it up as him being busy and started scrolling on your phone before he spoke up.
“My, what an opulent blue shirt you have on.”
That was an odd comment, and were those hints of disdain in his voice? You continued on anyway. “Uhhh, thanks? It’s just a graphic tee, though..?”
“Oh, don’t undersell it. It’s rather nice.”
“...Okay then.”
You weren’t following. He grew frustrated.
“Yes, it is grand, but would it not look in another, similarly shaded cool color?” He prompted.
“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
His eye twitched. You grinned.
You tilted your chair in his direction, tone lightly teasing. You two indulged in some lighthearted banter here and there, and that’s what you thought that was. “What, are you saying it’d look better in purple? Your color?”
“I’m not saying that I interpret the colors of your clothing symbolically, but yes, I do. You haven’t been wearing any of your purple articles recently, you barely invite me over anymore. You can just admit you don’t enjoy my company.” When his gaze fled to the ground, you realized that he was serious about this.
“Donatello…” you started, dipping your neck down so you could make eye contact. “That is the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever said. The reason I haven’t been wearing purple is because I don’t have any purple to wear. Something or someone keeps taking all of it. And, coincidentally, more goes missing every time you come over. That’s why I’ve been hanging out here instead.”
Donnie’s mouth was agape. The thought that he was the one causing his own problems hadn’t crossed his mind. Genuinely, thinking about it, it made a lot of sense. The worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself was really ringing true. But he couldn’t let his scientific validity and his dignity die in the same endeavor, so he took the next logical step. Lie.
The softshell swallowed before uncertainly droning, “I haven’t the slightest clue as to what you are implying.”
“I think you’re definitely smart enough to ascertain my implications. And you’re way past smart enough to know that I still love spending time with you even though I’m not wearing a specific color anymore.”
Donnie blinked. Oh. So, you two were cool, and he was actually just being melodramatic. He was still trying to figure out if that was worse than you being sick of him. It probably was. Probably…
However, he couldn’t dwell on that long. Something you said piqued his interest. The thing about the color of your clothing not holding any symbolic weight.
Expression growing subtly smug with the quirk of an eyebrow, he called your bluff. “If you are taking into account my intelligence, then should you not also observe that I am smart enough to discern the correlation between the formation of our partnership and you coming into possession of more purple attire?”
You blinked before countering with a smirk. “How would you know that I bought more purple clothes if I haven’t been able to wear them?”
Oh, Schrödinger. The only way that he would know, and the reason he did know, was because he had taken them
Regrettably, he mumbled. “... I plead the fifth.”
“Oh no you don’t. Public interest takes precedence over your individual rights, sir. Get subpoenaed, sucker!” You perked up in your seat and pointed an accusatory index finger at the man. “Where are my things?”
He crossed his arms.“You have no definitive proof that it was me. Your argument is circumstantial, at best. Good luck defending that in a court of law.”
Your excitement deflated. “Fine, fine. I suppose I must continue on without wearing purple, our color, forever.”
You batted your eyelashes sadly. It was a cheap tactic, but you weren’t afraid to stoop if it meant you could get your regular Donnie- you meant, wardrobe back. Yeah, you missed your clothes, but you missed having him over more. Probably.
It only took a couple more seconds for him to crack. “Sigh… Hey, completely unrelated segue, but could I come over tomorrow?”
“Suspicious timing, but I’ll allow it.”
“Great.”
“This meeting is adjourned.”
Somehow, by some otherworldly force/the magic of guilt tripping, your violet sweatshirts, t-shirts, accessories, gradually began showing up as the weeks went on.
By the same mysterious impetus, their return coincidentally synchronized with Donnie coming over.

Goodbye, My Danish Sweetheart.
Tumblr media
Hey I think the framing of this scene is really fucking cool and I wanna talk about it because I haven't seen anybody do that. yet so. yahooo!! let's get into it
BUT FIRST. Symbolism:
an empty chair can symbolise the absence or memory of someone dear who has passed away. This is very obviously meant to represent Hinako in this scenario
In my interpretation, this scene is Kazui saying goodbye to Hinako and apologising for the circumstances of her death.
The lyrics that play are:
"I’m sure nothing will change and we’ll laugh together and call each other stupid names, so many things I wish i hadn't known, I'm just a coward."
The first part of this verse sounds like he's wishfully thinking about what could've happened after he told her the truth - if anything a bit naively.
Kazui wanted (and still wants) to get the weight of his lies off his chest, but he wasn't ready to face the consequences of that confession, most likely making Hinako's death hit even harder.
Here, he bows to the chair before turning around leaving, a silent goodbye.
~
But what about what's going on in the background of this scene? Well!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Kazui leaves, these two scenes flash in the background. On the table in the first shot is our good friend the green apple, and Background Kazui picks it up, analyses it, before biting it.
So let's go for another symbolism refresher!!
Green apples can sometimes represent platonic relationships, like friendship, but in Kazui's case this takes the form of a sin - as not loving Hinako romantically is what he's lying about - making it a reference to the Garden of Eden story.
Going from that, biting into an apple can represent feeding into temptation.
My interpretation of this scene is Pre-Marriage Kazui indulging in his 'sin', which in my opinion is the fact he's gay.
Let's go back to that lyric shall we:
"I’m sure nothing will change and we’ll laugh together and call each other stupid names, so many things I wish i hadn't known, I'm just a coward."
So many things you wish you hadn't known huh.. Not knowing you were gay would sure make lying to your wife a whole lot easier wouldn't it?
"What I gave up a long time ago, why is it questioning me now? So many things that I should now have known, I'm just a coward"
Woohoo evidence for Background Kazui being Pre-Marriage Kazui!!!
I think this scene is the last time Kazui let himself be free before marrying Hinako. This could possibly have been when he noticed she had a crush on him at their work.
He's indulging one last time. Embracing his sin instead of hiding it away one. last. time. before giving it up for good, almost like a. goodbye.
~
So. I think this scene is framed this way in order to show the parallel of Kazui giving up his sin, and Kazui mourning Hinako's death.
As established, they both have a "goodbye, I'm sorry things turned out this way" atmosphere to them. Kazui is apologetic, in a way, that he has to give up on being his true self and he is apologetic of his lies murdering Hinako, so Milgram conveys this by showing the two scenes posed the same way in front of one another.
This framing also gives the scene a Beginning Vs End feeling that I think is really cool, and the use of Dark Vs Light colours only heightens that! (Though that's slightly off topic rip)
Conclusion? I love this scene it's awesome and amazing and super cool

OKAY SOME OF YOU SEEMED INTERESTED IN TEMPORAL KO SO!!! EHEHE this is a shared/collab AU with @here-to-cause-suffering, we both made the AU together and are working on it together, it's both of our AU and doesn't belong to one of us more than the other!!!
ANYWAY IN SHORT THE AU IS LIKE... you know the song Time Machine by Miracle Musical, yeah? Alex and I's interpretation of the song is that the time machine breaks down while being used, between time and space. And the person is stuck in the space between time and space for eternity. And I fixated on this song so hard I noclipped through multiple walls to make this AU with Alex /j
OKAY SO IN VERY SIMPLE EXPLAINATIONS... KO is in a time machine. Dendy made it— reasons why are still pending! But the whole thing is that, yk, the time machine breaks down between time and space, and KO freaks out and brute forces his way out of the time machine and into the space between space and time and he gets Fucked Up Badly. And they can time travel! :)
He doesn't have a specific look to him— he's merged, yeah— BUT he looks like he does in the reference of him most of the time, because he has some degree of control over how he looks/what he looks like. There isn't a "true look" or "true form" to them, though— they can be KO, TKO, PKO, MKO, he can be ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, something and nothing— every age and no age simultaneously (will talk abt this!) he just simply is. He is as he was, and he was as he is.
When traveling between space and time/when they're in between space and time, he's all over the place in very many senses of the word, because it doesn't rlly have control over/can't rlly consciously choose to look like how it wants. So! Fun!
Ehehee, they also don't have a specific age technically— he can appear as any age and be any age BUT BUT when talking about it casually he's 13-14 bc that's how old it was when this all happened + that's how old it is when just looking like how it defaults to, yk!
ALSO CANDY GORE. and rainbow vomit. ALSO ALSO its breath is almost constantly foggy... and its body is slowly slowly deteriorating and he's kinda slowly becoming something that CAN handle being between space and time.
Extra details... they're almost always in some form of pain 😭 Esp when their body decides to just glitch and turn into, idk, a chair or a loading symbol or its head becomes a PC blue screen... whatever you can even think of! It's all canon (within reason/this extends as far as we say it does /hj)
Also the half of his face with the hair covering his eye is his skull— and it's not visible underneath, y'know, his sweater n' stuff, but some of his ribs are exposed/visible too and a lot of his spine, as well! I have some silly concept whiteboard doodles to share sometime that I need to make good use of 😭 /hj
EHEHEHE please feel free to send me or Alex asks abt this, we'd love to talk about them!!! He's so neat and so cool ehehe... look at him, baby boy baby.

Another theme I really love in little nightmares 2 is how all the beings affected by the Signal Tower can be interpreted as representations of the different kinds of abuse children face throughout their life.
(Now bc of the recent LN podcast that came out giving some insight on how the LN universe works, we know kids that end up there are usually there because they’ve experienced severe trauma and/or abuse throughout their lives. What we also know now is that adults can also end up there, but instead these adults are usually the abusers, which is what makes this world 10x more nightmarish for the kids that inhabit it.)
But I’m not gonna get too into the logistics of the podcast for now though because I’ve not watched it entirely, and I still think this interpretation can be applied with or without the podcast context so I’ll just give my personal thoughts on the main antagonists in general for now!
Starting off with The Bullies I think their symbolism is most obvious, abuse from peers. In typical bully fashion the way they attack you is usually in hoards, killing you with their bare hands instead of a special ability. They even set out traps or what could be seen as a deadly prank, to kill anyone that is unfortunate to set it off. And while yes you are their main target because you are an outsider and “not one of them”, they also seem to regularly harass each other as well, emphasizing the cruel and vindictive nature they internalize (like when mono and six come across a solitary room with a chair in it, implying that the bullies regularly tied some people up and left them there for days, weeks even). But my favorite part is despite how cruel and aggressive they act, the form that the signal tower has turned them into is a porcelain doll, one that while keeping the appearance of a child is instead hollow and just as easy to kill (if not more than a regular kid). The bullies are the closest thing to the regular survivors of LN, but because of their cruel actions in defense of deeply buried insecurities, the Signal Tower has turned the bullies into fragile hollow husks of hate that will forever showcase the damage done to them outwardly, without any chance of concealing the cracks and pieces missing.
When it comes to The Teacher I’m not as sure, but I think she is meant to represent the abuse that individuals in power (specifically the education system) can commit to those underneath their rank. She’s extremely strict and cruel in her punishments, and has stricken fear into even the rowdiest of bullies, her class being dead silent as she teaches nonsense for however long she wishes. Adding onto this, she seems to be the sole person in power to the entire school, setting the schedule however she pleases. With her extensive neck I think this also can be seen as another act of dominance on her part, being able to literally be above whoever crosses her.
The Doctor is less direct, but I think he represents how those put in more knowledgeable and trusted positions can easily take advantage of those they’re supposed to protect. In this case towards his patients that he has taken advantage of and turned into his own experiments, but what confuses me is to why he’s on the ceiling? I mean it could just be as a way to be disturbing but I think it could be conveying how the doctor’s moral views have been so warped that he is literally viewing the world upside down.
The Hunter to me is also a little more confusing. I’m not sure what abuse he would embody but again he is farther from the pale city, so perhaps he’s not as in line with the Signal Towers influence/theme.
The Viewers in my opinion, represent neglect and addiction. While technically passive until provoked, they are designed to make you feel as though you’re walking on eggshells around them whenever you have to walk through the room they’re in. But because of them not caring about you whatsoever, you can pretty much just do whatever you want around them and they won’t even blink an eye until is directly disrupting the connection between them and the signal tower, in which case they get extremely violent, making a sound akin to screaming as they get up in your face to suck the life out of you. Their appearance also has a lot to say about their condition; The way their faces have been distorted and how uniform they all look, the Signal Tower has pretty much sucked the life out of them and made them forget who they ever were, possibly also representing how the relationship between them and whatever children they had would be so distant, that the kid wouldn’t see them as any different than a stranger they walked past on the street.
Aaaand because this post is now way too long maybe I’ll rant about how this applies to Mono and Six’s transformation via the Signal Tower another day. (Also this is just a silly interpretation!! So take this with a grain of salt, I’m sure someone else has explained this like 10x more literate than I could but I just love talking about this game 💔)

Let's (re)Read The Eye of the World! Chapter 16: The Wisdom
Tumblr media
Spoliers here! Get your spoilers here! This is a reread and I've read every book in the series except the ones that came out after it was over and I will tell you every detail that ever happened out of spite if you don't take this opportunity to protect yourself now! Run away!
We get yet another new chapter icon as we move into this chapter. Three leaves on a vine, and boy does it symbolize a lot. For this chapter it represents Nynaeve and her crashing the party. As we go forward it will refer to Tinkers, Ogier (particularly Loial) and the Waygates built for them, and even the Green Man.
“We don’t have time for that, boy,” Thom said gruffly. Min gave the white-haired gleeman a sharp look. “Go juggle something,” she snapped, drawing Rand further away from the others.
I can't tell what's better, Thom assuming that Rand's ducking out of the meeting to make out with a random woman, or Min telling Thom to go play with his balls. It's a strong showing though!
You’re all in more danger today than yesterday. Since she came.
Min, I'm going to be honest with you: you are the worst person in the world when it comes to interpreting your visions. There are assholes who grew up literally on your hometown's antipode with more skill than you. Right now, you're making Rand think that the danger is supposed to be Nynaeve, and that's crazy talk. Everyone is in more danger right now than they were a little while ago when you tormented Rand last because he's gone off and antagonized two sets of people.
Also, I forgot to mention last night, but all of Rand's actions are the equivalent of Frodo accidentally putting on the One Ring in the inn in Bree. I guess that makes Nynaeve Strider, which is awesome but of course nonsense because Lan is Strider. Thank goodness it's not one-to-one. Really I'd say every member of the nine EotW crew (counting Loial) has equivalences with two or more members of the Fellowship. Nynaeve's other half is Sam, for example.
Moiraine and Nynaeve sat at opposite ends of the table, neither taking her eyes from the other. All the other chairs were empty. Moiraine’s hands rested on the table, as still as her face. Nynaeve’s braid was thrown over her shoulder, the end gripped in one fist; she kept giving it little tugs the way she did when she was being even more stubborn than usual with the Village Council. Perrin was right. Despite the fire it seemed freezing cold, and all coming from the two women at the table.
I don't have anything to say here, I just really like it.
“You . . . followed our trail?” Lan said, truly surprised for the first time that Rand could remember. “I must be getting careless.”
This is the exact moment that Lan realizes what love is, and unlike so many of the romances in this series I'm quite happy with this one because as minimal as their reasons are they're perfectly good ones. Nynaeve is talented enough to best Lan and he's awestruck. Good.
“If you can follow a trail I have tried to hide, he taught you well. Few can do that, even in the Borderlands.” Abruptly Nynaeve buried her face in her cup. Rand’s eyes widened. She was blushing.
And this is the exact moment that Nynaeve falls in love, because Lan doesn't give her shit, he doesn't dismiss her for being too young, he just tells her she's as incredible as she knows she is.
They’d swarm over this inn like murderous ants on a rumor, a whisper. Their hate is that strong, their desire to kill or take any like these two.
Also Thom, Rand royally pissed them off earlier. You all should probably know that. It's a real shame none of you know that.
“We can’t,” Rand said, and was glad that his friends all spoke up at the same time. That way Nynaeve’s glare had to be spread around; she spared no one as it was. But he had spoken first, and they all fell silent, looking at him. Even Moiraine sat back in her chair, watching him over steepled fingers.
Tumblr media
I mean she's way more moral about all of this but she is technically part of a cabal trying to bring about the fulfillment of prophecy to usher in a new age of humankind, and the reluctant teenage boy is finally promising to get in the robotgo to Tar Valon.
The Light knows how your . . . Mistress Alys”—she invested the name with a wagonload of scorn— “managed to make him believe; he has a mite of sense, usually, more than most men.
She didn't even talk to him, amusingly.
He’s afraid you’ll try your tricks with outlanders and get your head thumped.
Well, Mat's dad is right about one of those things already.
Egwene sat back so she was shielded by Perrin. “I left a note,” she said faintly. She tugged at the hood of her cloak as if she was afraid her unbound hair showed. “I explained everything.” Nynaeve’s face darkened.
What so many people miss in their support of one character over another is that Egwene is just as stupid and immature as Rand, Mat, and Perrin: she just shows it differently. If I were in Nynaeve's shoes and hearing this shit, Moiraine couldn't have interrupted my rant about "A note!" if she'd balefired me.
Even those poor men who find themselves wielding the Power for a short time gain that much, though sometimes touching saidin protects, and sometimes the taint makes them more vulnerable.
For somebody who's supposedly pretty impatient and pissed, she sure is infodumping. Moiraine's such a nerd.
Egwene bounced to her feet, her desire to be dignified obviously warring with her desire to avoid a confrontation with the Wisdom over her unbraided hair. She had no difficulty gathering up everyone by eye, though. Mat and Perrin scraped back their chairs hurriedly, making polite murmurs while trying not to actually run on their way out. Even Lan started for the door at a signal from Moiraine, drawing Thom with him.
Again, there's not much to say, just the joy of the sheer intensity that is Moiraine and Nynaeve in the same room while innocent bystanders look on in horror. Shame it's over.
She turned toward Rand, and for the first time he realized the others had all quietly disappeared.
Poor Rand, too nosy to escape quickly, too thick to realize that Nynaeve's nervous around Lan because she's afraid that she'll jump his bones.
“Something happened,” he insisted. “Why do you want us to go back if you think there’s even a chance we are right? And why you, at all? As soon send the Mayor himself as the Wisdom.” “You have grown.” She smiled, and for a moment her amusement had him shifting his feet.
Again, Rand's actually really adept at political matters, he just doesn't realize it. Tam must have been prepping him for the Council his whole life.
Either way, though, almost every man wanted to be one of the party. Tam, and Bran al’Vere, with the scales of office around his neck, and Haral Luhhan, till Alsbet made him sit down. Even Cenn Buie. The Light save me from men who think with the hair on their chests. Though I don’t know as there are any other kind.
Note the double hypocrisy, in that Nynaeve is criticizing everyone for thinking they should be the ones to go get the kids when she thought the same thing about herself, and for criticizing people for thinking with their hair when her braid is how she gets her own neurons firing.
“Are you all right?” Nynaeve asked. “He said . . . said I . . . wasn’t his son. When he was delirious . . . with the fever. He said he found me. I thought it was just. . . .” His throat began to burn, and he had to stop. “Oh, Rand.” She stopped and took his face in both hands. She had to reach up to do it. “People say strange things in a fever. Twisted things. Things that are not true, or real. Listen to me. Tam al’Thor ran away seeking adventure when he was a boy no older than you. I can just remember when he came back to Emond’s Field, a grown man with a red-haired, outlander wife and a babe in swaddling clothes. I remember Kari al’Thor cradling that child in her arms with as much love given and delight taken as I have ever seen from any woman with a babe. Her child, Rand. You. Now you straighten up and stop this foolishness.”
It is both incredibly sweet that she notices something is wrong with Rand immediately and cares enough to ask and try and reassure him when she's pissed at how stupid she thinks he is and incredibly silly that the reassurance she gives - of a time when she was four or five years old and would have had nothing but a few fleeting encounters with the foreigner and baby who live out of town even when they do come home - is going to reassure anyone who isn't actively trying to drown in denial.
“No, it isn’t your business,” Nynaeve agreed. “It might not mean anything. She could just be searching blindly for a reason, any reason, why those things are after you. After all of you.”
This, though also wrong, is a much more reasonable sort of guess. That said, it's something Nynaeve wants to be true, so she doesn't think about the obvious connections either.
Sadly, that's it for this chapter. Next time we return to the Lord of the Rings inspiration when they have to leave the inn early due to an invasion of black-cloaked riders who serve supernatural evil.

Hewwo fellow Haruka apologist/stan :)
I wanna ask the expert themself, what do you think about the headcanon that Haruka's parents (or his mom at least) is into taxidermy? There's a shit ton of taxidermy in his second t2, but also in a translation of AKAA lyrics (a more 'accurate' one, rather than the eng sub that's provided) instead of "I will keep killing to be a good boy" it's "Rather than taking something away, it's better to give". What if Haruka was killing animals to 'help' his mother with taxidermy? In his own sick and twisted way of getting her attention. And, let's not forget the famous scene where he's standing on top of the chair surrounded by the dead animal corpses, he's says "Mommy, look, aren't I amazing?". Sick, yeah. But what if he's presenting his 'gifts' to his mother, who's into taxidermy?
And the orange/amber liquid that everyone thinks is honey in reference to Muu? Someone in the comments said it could be formaldehyde, which is used for taxidermy. Just another thing that caught my attention
I thought about this way too much, but it's a just silly lil hc of mine
Hi hello!! Thank you for sending me this ask (and so sorry I replied so late!) I'm always happy to meet & discuss with fellow Haruka enjoyers :3c
I completely agree with that headcanon (in fact I don't think the orange liquid in AKAA resembles honey at all except for the color--the consistency seems closer to that of formaldehyde, and it makes more sense with the sequence of events that it'd be formaldehyde), I think Haruka's mom was a taxidermist or at least into something biology related, hobbyist or professional, so Haruka was exposed to a lot of things involving animals and taxidermy throughout his life. I assumed this is at least part of the reason why he dislikes animals--they remind him of his mom, when he was still somewhat loved by her, I imagine she'd tell or show him some details of her work/hobby, so he learned a lot about animals & taxidermy from her.
If I'm being honest, when I first watched AKAA it didn't occur to me at all that Haruka killed the animals, I interpreted that as a metaphor or symbolism (but I won't talk about that here because it'll be too long and it involves Weakness haha), so seeing most of the fandom interpret it literally (I guess because of his VD but I didn't take the VD at face value either) surprised me and I spent a while thinking of why Haruka would do something like that, and the perspective you offered really makes sense!! In my interpretation wouldn't call it sick or twisted as much as it is Haruka "accepting" that he is what his mom painted him to be, in his mind--someone whose only talent is bringing bad things, so he took to killing the animals in an attempt to utilize his "evil self's only ability" to do something his mom would hopefully approve of. It kinda reminds me of Tendou Satori from Haikyuu, who embraced the label "guess monster" because he was so used to being treated as a monster, so he embraced that he's weird and unlikable in a way that can make him still a good player but also true to himself. (I hope I remember correctly I haven't watched Haikyuu in like 2 years but Tendou is very dear to me) Except in Haruka's case it is way more fucked up lol.
Also gotta thank whoever retranslated AKAA more accurately--I noticed this theme with the innocent prisoners being painted in a purposefully bad light in T2 so we could vote them guilty, and the other way around as well, the guilty from T1 being painted as miserable and actually not that bad, yk. There's really nothing in MILGRAM that should be taken at face value imo.
And worry not I also thought about this an unimaginable amount, it's been on my mind the whole week actually, but I'm trying to articulate my thoughts into a coherent post lfhksdsl

Okay, this is going to be incredibly long and a lot of this is going to be a repeat of one of my last posts but this one will just go a lot more indepth of my feelings and thoughts towards the, in my opinion, terrifying movie Skinamarink (possible TW for suicide but there's no details going into it but I'm putting it just in case)
Simply to start off, I found it really slow but it definitely kept me on my toes of "what's going to happen next". However, I did find myself not really indulging myself into it (I also have ADHD so that might've had something to do with it lol) apart from that, because I'm an English nerd, I was also trying trying to find symbolism and such.
It was dark the entire movie except for at the beginning, which in literature light means knowledge and darkness means a lack of knowledge. If we apply that here that means that it in a way shows the kids are confused without them outright saying it. Other than that I couldn't really find anything else symbolism wise. This could be a stretch but colors could play into it as well with blue meaning, in this case, sadness and isolation with red meaning passion of either love or hatred, to which in a way I think could be both in this movie because the kids loving each other and their parents and hatred could be the parents feelings towards the kids, or at least the dad's (explained later) Blue is kind of obvious cause the theme isolation shows because they're trapped in the house and sadness is shown because apart from all the terrifying moments in the end the movie is really sad.
I mean, think about it! You're a 4 year old child who can't find their dad, you just fell down the stairs, things keep disappearing in the house, you have to piss in a bucket cause the ghost took away the toilet (the most scary thing in this movie /j), your mother cancelled her life subscription and your sisters face disappears halfway through whatever fever dream you're experiencing. In the sense of a 4 year old child that's terrifying but sad because you don't know much of anything else other than playing and whatever else kids at that age do.
Now, talking about scenes that kept us up, a lot of people talk about Kaylee's face disappearing or the mom dying but the scene that kept me up was the scene where we hear the repeatinng music (I don't remember what it's called even tho I saw it in the captions like 6 times with how much it repeated), Kevin screaming and us seeing blood splatter onto the floor again and again and again. At first I just saw that and I was like :o, then I saw it repeat and I was like :O then I heard the entity laughing and I was like 😧. It bothered me to a whole 'nother level cause that just implies that it's been happening for 572 days (I think that's the number).
Personally I really wish they played around with the idea a lot more, or at the least create a sequel to it if they want to keep that slow moving feeling since it is analog horror. I would've really liked to see some sort of story behind what's going on like why the dad being gone and possibly even an ending to what happens after but at the same time I like how they left it open to interpretation cause it just lets the audience fill in the blanks and create their own interpretation of the movie.
On how I interpret it, I see it as a metaphor for abused children (yes I think that because that's one of the most popular theories but that's not the main reason). It makes sense because the entity could represent the father abusing the children, Kaylee being "silenced" because her face disappears, the mother committing because of the chair literally hanging from the ceiling, etc. Another theory is this is all a dream from Kevin being in a coma because there's a constant theme of sleeping in the movie and I think it happens after he falls down the stairs. Little side note, can we talk about how calm the father was during that scene? Like sir your son, who is just barely becoming a little kid, fell down the stairs and it must've been bad cause you took him to the hospital how are you so calm and nonchalant about it???
Anyways I think it could be a mix of both. I think Kevin and Kaylee are heavily abused by their dad and their mother committed. Kevin at some point fell down the stairs and thus caused him to go into a coma and the whole movie is a nightmare (literally) and everything that happens is a reenactment of what happened in real life but more enhanced and dramatic because it's through the eyes of the child/children, which makes sense on why the jump scares aren't as scary as they would be because in nightmares, they seem scary for a second but then it just continues on and that's exactly what happens in the movie, every scare is for a few seconds then it continues as of nothing happened but we know something happened. That could also explain why the entity says "I'll protect you," even if it's in its own pretty twisted way cause it's trying to protect the child from the father's abuse.
Just now thought of this while writing but what if the entity also represents foster care systems?? Cause it claims it protects the child but then proceeds to hurt the child for its own enjoyment? Just a thought but like what if, y'know?
Anyhow I think that's all my thoughts on this absolutely wonderful movie. Even though it's done more psychological damage on my brain than any ex or break up will ever put in me through, it was so fucking good. I beg of y'all PLEASE watch it if you can. I have it on a Google drive but it's also available to rent on Amazon for like 5$ or something and on YouTube to buy unless someone has already uploaded it for free. Even though its slow paced, I'd argue that it made the movie better now that I've thought about it for a while cause it gave you time to process whatever just happened. But yes watch it, especially since it was done on a 15,000$ budget and it's made back like 2-3 Mil. It's worth it even if you don't like horror movies.

TWD 11x20: What’s Been Lost - Analysis, Part 3
Yesterday, I wanted to repost the stuff that my fellow theorists had come up with that struck me as important for what’s going on now (the spinoff officially starting to film) but here is some more discussion about ep 20.
@wdway:
Here are the shots of Bob from Alone and Lance in this episode.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I know that we've had lots of shots from above of different people laid out. Daryl comes to mind from Always Accountable and I should have tied that one in also, but when I saw Lance, this shot of Bob immediately came to mind. Especially since I had thought about the remix of the scene between Daryl and Carol and Beth and Daryl from Alone. I don't know why Lance and Bob would be tied together. I just know this looks like a visual clue to me. My takeaway is that we're getting closer and closer to Beth.
@galadrieljones
All this is great. I am glad you reminded me of Carol’s “I won’t leave you,” comment, as I meant to include that in my section about her being a Beth proxy. I saw that too. I think so many of these scenes can be interpreted in a lot of ways, and like you said, @wday, they just all seem to point to 4b-5a and more specifically Beth.
When I saw Lance lying on the ground like that, and then they did a pan of the stars in the sky I thought it might be commentary on how he couldn’t change his stars. I didn’t know what that meant. I think there’s something to be said about who we were. Who we BECOME is important, but we can’t forget where we come from and who we used to be. Remembering our roots, even if it’s painful, makes us stronger once we see how far we’ve come.
@wdway:
I thought of a possible tie for the Bob and Lance overhead shot. In Alone the shot in early in the episode. Soon after Bob meets Daryl and Glenn on the road and goes back to a new community. In this episode Lance's shot is near the end of the episode. Daryl and Carol is headed to follow the train that will take them to new community. Daryl is the common denominator.
@twdmusicboxmystery:
Yeah for sure! I like it!
I thought more about what you said above about adding in Daryl from 6x06. I’m not sure they’re the same thing. They’re definitely related (cuz Beth and Daryl symbolism) but I think they’re conveying different things. The point of Bob and Lance, in my mind, is that they’re alone in the wide universe. Bob’s shot is in the episode called Alone, and as you say, it’s right before he finds his next family/community.
Lance died alone because he was never loyal to anyone but himself and his own ambitions. Bob did not. While he was alone for a time, he died with friends and loved ones around him, who cared enough and felt his loss deeply enough to mourn him. And that makes all the difference.
Tumblr media
In AA, the shot of Daryl lying beside the walker is, in my mind, more trying to convey his emptiness. His search for someone who isn’t by his side at present. The walker he lays by isn’t unlike what you’ve both said this season about the empty chairs: they represent Beth being there, present in his mind, but not there physically.
Just my interpretation, tho.
@galadrieljones:
Also, I’ll admit I was watching on my phone and it was dark and I couldn’t SEE a lot of that scene w Lance, Daryl, and Carol in the end. Was that a house or a train in the distance? I think it’s possible they all end up in the same place. If the bus is calling back to season 4, then there’s a Terminus on the horizon—the place where all lines converge.
@wdway:
Oh, yes, the WHITE bus. In Self-Help Team D.C. left the white church in a white bus. When it later overturned, we saw a shot of Eugene with the license tag which was the same tag number as the black car, white cross license tag number. Also the same as the blue truck tag in the garage that Daryl and the Claimers stay at and the same tag on one of the police cars from Grady. I guess it would be too much to hope for that we will see the license tag on this white bus and it would be the same number. That doesn't mean that I won't be looking. ;D
Tumblr media
Guys, did you notice that Eugene was in a blue, not orange, prison jumpsuit with a nod to s4e10 Inmates. Instead of an orange jumpsuit that usually says PRISONER, Eugene had a blue jumpsuit with INMATE.
Tumblr media
@galadrieljones:
I feel they’re just showering us in imagery from 4b-5a right now. We’re in the final coda no doubt.
Also, I had totally forgotten about the white bus in Self-Help. Nice catch!!!!
@twdmusicboxmystery:
Yeah, for sure. I totally hope we see the license plate. I hadn't thought of that. And your comment about who we become made me remember something I keep meaning to mention. We've heard a LOT of episode titles in these past episodes. What Comes After. Alone. Who Are You Now. There have been others. And really, those are show-wide themes, so they're working them into the dialogue of these final episodes. Just really interesting.
Tumblr media
In terms of what Carol and Daryl saw, I'm pretty sure it was a train station. So, not unlike the platform they all stood on talking about Pamela's plan. Just a place the train would theoretically stop. But they didn't see the train itself. That's why they were surprised and remarked about the CW having an actual, working train. The station might have been built before the turn, but it's surprising they have a working one that might actually pass by periodically. So, the idea, as they said, is that they'll wait for the train to pass and either hop aboard or follow behind it.
And you're both hitting on the reasons I said before that the train is so important. I definitely agree that it's a replay of Terminus, but this is also the second time around. There's also the fact that in 5x09, part of the hallucination having to do with Beth was the camera moving along train tracks through the woods. Now, we're seeing that again. So, anything that involves a train or train tracks is, in my opinion, indicative of her, her arc, or something leading to it.
And that already makes sense based on what we've seen. I'm assuming Daryl and Carol will eventually end up at whatever place Zeke and co were taken. That's where the leaked footage of them escaping and Daryl carrying Judith will take place. If the CRM shows up there (and we can kind see a black vehicle behind Zeke, so I think they will) and Beth is with them, then these train tracks are leading to her arc and reveal.
Tumblr media
Anyway, good stuff. I also keep meaning to say that I loved that Carol called Ezekiel "Zeke" when he disappeared. I'm not sure we've ever heard her do that before. If we have, I didn't catch it. I just always notice that most people call him by his full name, Ezekiel. I usually call him Zeke, but that's just me being lazy and not wanting to type out the entire thing, lol. So, when she called him Zeke, it made me illogically happy. ;D
@galadrieljones:
OKAY that makes sense. A train station. Omg what’s going to happen there?? I’m too intrigued.
@twdmusicboxmystery:
IKR? @wdway observed that in the earlier scene on the platform, Carol and Daryl walked away from one another, and Daryl picked up the apple (often indicative of separation). It makes me thinks Carol and Daryl’s separation might play out here. But that also seems like it will happen too soon and too abruptly. So… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@galadrieljones:
Remembering at Terminus, too, who are the two characters that are not there? Beth and Carol. Those are also the two characters who were removed from the main timeline/train tracks and abducted away to Grady. They are Daryl’s two women (sister/lover). I wouldn’t be surprised if a separation happened here.
But I also wouldn’t be surprised if a convergence happened first. It seems foreboding, like something dark is on the horizon. Lance is a snake. Did he lead them astray? Is there a dark force awaiting them in that train station? Is it a “portal” to the past or future, like Leah’s cabin?
@twdmusicboxmystery:
Yeah, that’s a good point. I hadn’t thought of that but given that he tried to kill time when they cut him loose, and that he kind of abandoned Carol in the dark tunnel place (I couldn’t tell exactly what that was supposed to be either) he really could have been planning to lead them into a trap.
Tumblr media
@wdway:
I'm so looking forward to seeing Daryl court Beth. I think/hope that this will be TWD true romance novel of TWDU. Tptb has called the Rick/Michonne spin-off an epic love story and I'm sure it will be, but it will be a couple that was established before the separation. A renewing of their love story but not the beginning. Whereas what we have with Daryl and Beth will be hopefully a true romance an epic romance and that is what they have saved Daryl for this story.
I remember Lynn Collins on TTD saying that the viewers didn't see Leah and Daryl kiss because of the covid virus restrictions, and the writer jumped in quickly to state that at no time was there ever a plan for a kiss between the two. She wanted to make it perfectly clear that it had nothing to do with the covid restrictions. So why would she be so adamant in letting the viewers know that? Because Daryl's first kiss on screen will be an epic moment in his story.
Tumblr media
@galadrieljones:
I have so many head canons for them. It’s a little ridiculous at this point.
@twdmusicboxmystery:
Same. Only 1 billion head canons. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@galadrieljones:
I’ve thought about whether he might see her through glass at first, like in a research facility, re: the Snow-White theme. The building would be burning or something and he’d have to get in. I’ve thought about her treating him before he wakes up, and then she leaves, not remembering him, and Daryl has visions of her like in the Little Mermaid lol. I wonder if Daryl will meet back up with Morgan, and he’ll be with Beth. Morgan never met her.
(So, he’d have no idea what was going on lol)
Anyway, I’ll stop. :D
Tumblr media
@twdmusicboxmystery:
Yeah, I’m the same way. I always think about characters she might be with. Heath. Morgan’s group. Jadis. TWB characters. I have an illogical desire for Beth and Silas to be pals. And of course he and Daryl eventually will be too. I have one where she sees Judith. In this one, she doesn’t have memory loss. Of course Judith looks very different from when she was a baby, but maybe she still recognizes the eyes or something. Kind of a spidey sense. And then Judith even says her name, and Beth thinks, “huh, that’s a weird coincidence.” (Because she thinks Judith died as a baby at the prison.) Then she says something like, “as long as your last name isn’t Grimes.” And of course Judith says it is. Cue Beth to turn into a puddle on the floor.
Yeah, I have ones where she’s lost her memory, and ones where she hadn’t. I often think of her helping him from afar. Like things he needs showing up mysteriously. Or he’s about to die (cuz zombies) and some sniper on a ridge saves his life, and he has no idea who it is. And it’s always her helping him from afar. Of course, he’ll realize it’s her at SOME point, which is where it gets fun. I could go on and on. But, I won’t. ;D
@wdway:
@twdmusicboxmystery, can go on and on and on as much as you like with your head cannons. I love every one of them. Same goes for you, @galadrieljones.
I have an episode question. I didn't quite get why Carol and Lance went into what was basically the tombs; that cave-like sewer deal. Would you clear that up for me. Didn't get it other than some type of weird tie in to the subway in the first this season or the water, sewer system at AZ where Carl died.
Tumblr media
To tell you the truth, my first thought was that they came out the same place they entered. Logically they must have gone through to another opening. From the previews I wonder if this is the same place we see some of the scenes of them in some kind of similar situation with other TF members.
@galadrieljones:
I am not sure, but I do have it in my notes as an “infrastructure repair project” that the CW abandoned because of too many “cave-ins.” I kind of thought it was a tunnel? Like for a road or train tracks. I read it as a reference to the cave-in in season 9, which is a manifestation of one of Carol’s past sins. She has to kill a bunch of walkers in there in the pitch dark, and I believe Lance may have led her in there purposely to try and lose her, but I’m not sure.
It could also be a tunnel under a bridge. The word infrastructure makes me think it is a part of how the CW moves supplies.
I remember something interesting about it though. There was a large amount of “skin” stretched over a table or something? I think they comment on it but don’t linger too long.
Tumblr media
@twdmusicboxmystery:
Yeah, that’s right. And it smelled super bad. That’s gotta mean something.
@galadrieljones:
One thing that’s going on this season is we’re seeing a really effed up version of the human condition. Those cannibalistic freaks in Connie and Virgil’s funhouse. The deformed men Maggie saw and their limbless, silent wives. The walkers with their vocal cords cut in the sewer. The way the Reapers hang their kills upside down. Now a bunch of skin in a tunnel somewhere? The world is getting more and more hellish, it seems. Like it’s getting further and further away from its humanity.
Honestly the last time we saw something like this was in 4b-5a with the Claimers and then the Termites. Those groups were truly terrifying and indications that sometimes, evil wins.
This then progressed to the Wolves who would dismember people and killed indiscriminately. There was also the evidence of a horrible, dark massacre at Pine Vista. It’s like what Lori says, which is that the only thing more terrifying than the dead is the living.
@wdway:
What you mentioned about all these horrible situations that have been brought to light especially this season reminded me of something Greg said about the Country Club in Still about it being the nine levels of hell like in Dante's tale.

Anna Canzi and Carlo Cabrini in I Fidanzati (Ermanno Olmi, 1963) Cast: Anna Canzi, Carlo Cabrini. Screenplay: Ermanno Olmi. Cinematography: Lamberto Caimi. Art direction: Ettore Lombardi. Film editing: Carla Colombo. Music: Gianni Ferrio Ermanno Olmi's I Fidanzati begins with an empty room, a kind of stage if you will, on which the first act of his small romantic drama will be played out. It's a large room, apparently some kind of meeting hall, in which the chairs and tables have been pushed to the sides. People begin to enter, including two men who scatter wax on what will become a dance floor. A pianist and an accordionist take their places on a small stage in a corner, and the tables and chairs along the walls begin to be occupied by people, some couples, some single. They are ordinary looking people, plain and paunchy and many of them middle-aged, but Olmi manages to direct our attention to a younger couple who are somewhat better-looking than most of the others in the room: She's pretty in a fresh, unmade-up way; he's craggily handsome. They are Liliana (Anna Canzi) and Giovanni (Carlo Cabrini), the engaged couple of the film's title, but they're also oddly tense with each other, as if they've just had a quarrel. When the musicians strike up a banal foxtrot, people slowly, self-consciously take the floor, starting with a pair of elderly women. Liliana and Giovanni watch the dancers silently until he stands up and invites her to dance with him. She indicates her lack of interest, so he crosses the room and finds another woman to dance with. Liliana and Giovanni have been engaged for a long time, never having quite saved enough money from their jobs to get married and find a place of their own. They are at odds tonight because he has just been offered a job by his company that includes advancement and better pay, but the job is in Sicily, hundreds of miles to the south, and she can't go with him. I Fidanzati, in short, is about the incompatibility of love and work. It's also set in a crucial moment in Italian history, when the postwar industrial and economic boom has begun to transform people's lives. Olmi's film, then, might be compared to Rainer Werner Fassbinder's films set in the era of the German Wirtschaftswunder, when prosperity upended people's lives. Nothing so drastic happens to Giovanni as happens to Fassbinder's Ali in Ali: Fear Eats the Soul (1974), of course, but when he takes the job in Sicily Giovanni finds himself in much the same position as Ali: a stranger in a strange land, uprooted from all that's familiar, especially his long-term relationship with his fiancée. Fortunately, absence makes the heart grow fonder, and in separation Giovanni and Liliana find their relationship undergoing some kind of renewal. Olmi is not a sentimental sap, however, and he chooses to conclude his film with a thunderstorm that interrupts a telephone call between the fidanzati, which some interpret as a symbol of their ongoing differences. But sometimes a thunderstorm is just a thunderstorm, and what really matters in Olmi's film is the skill with which he establishes the two characters, the deep authenticity of the two hitherto unknown actors who play them, the artful use of flashbacks and narrative disjunctions to create a mood and tone, and a camera that seeks out the beauty amid banality.

Paring: Sirius Black X Fem!Potter!Reader, James Potter X Fem!Twin!Reader
Summary: James goes through a lot during his time at Hogwarts but his sister is always by his side.
Inspiration: Click
A/N: If this comes off insensitive to anyone please let me know and I will remove this.
James Potter was a handful. From the minute he was born, he had this gleam in his hazel eyes that raged and burned with trouble. His twin, Y/n Potter, was almost the opposite. The soft smile that laid on her features and the glitter of calamity in her eyes. Euphemia and Fleamont were in for a lot the minute their twins were born.
Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder is most comparative to having a web browser up with one too many tabs. James had always been unable to focus and was naturally messy. Truth be told, he thought it was normal, just as everyone else did. It wasn’t until his second year at Hogwarts did he realize something was genuinely wrong with him.
Remus told him that he had this muggle thing called “dyslexia,” which was a difficulty in interpreting words, letters, and other symbols. However, it never affected his overall intelligence because everyone knew that Remus Lupin was indeed and wholly brilliant. It got James wondering, did his inability to focus, be organized, and hyperactivity have a deeper meaning?
His twin - Y/n - was quite the opposite. She made quick friends with Remus, Sirius, and Peter, who were close friends of her twin. Y/n was top of their class, creating a friendly competition with Remus, but she was always able to focus. Often she would hyper-focus, which would leave her working for over five hours at a time without realizing it. In those times, James would have to snap her out of it.
Over the summer, James expressed his concerns to his parents. He was talking about how this could be a real issue he’s facing using Remus’ dyslexia as an example. Eventually, they gave in, letting James go to a muggle doctor. James had to fill out a questionnaire that would come back with his results in one week. That week was probably the longest week of his life. Nonetheless, his test results had come back positive.
Fleamont and Euphemia would be lying if they were surprised. After hearing about the disorder, it was almost the definition of their eldest son. Fortunately for James, the muggles had come up with a cure - no, not a cure - dammit, what was it again?
Impede the symptoms! That’s what those muggle pills do. James was required to take two pills a day, one in the morning and once at night. Y/n was in charge of making sure he did so because - more times than he’d like to admit - he would forget everything if it wasn’t for Y/n.
In third year, James was as energetic as ever while getting on the Hogwarts Express, “Aren’t you excited, Y/n?!”
She chuckled, “Yes, but Merlin, you don’t need to literally jump with joy.”
“But I’m excited!”
“I know that.”
They made their way to the compartment that held Remus, who was reading a book. James sat in front of him while Y/n took her seat beside Remus, “‘Ello Remus.”
“Hey, Potter pair.”
Y/n sighed, and James groaned, “That nickname needs to go away.”
“I quite like it.” Remus stated smugly, “Suits you both.”
“What’s that suppose to mean?” Y/n accused falsely, “It means that wherever one of you are, the other isn’t that far behind.” Remus replied.
James had zoned out already, and Y/n snapped in his face, “Take your pills?”
“Forgot.” James muttered guiltily, “Oh Godric.” She whispered.
“Pills?”
“James went to a muggle doctor this summer.”
Remus quirked an eyebrow, “Did you now?”
“Got diagnosed with ADHD.” James informed, and Remus looked amiss, “Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.”
“Ah, I’ve heard of that.” Remus said, and James smiled sheepishly, “I feel kinda odd, like out of place.”
“Why?”
“Dunno, just, why can't I be normal?”
“You are normal, James.” Y/n reassured, “And anyone who says differently obviously doesn’t care about you.”
The compartment door slammed open, “Who doesn’t care about who?”
Remus snorted, “Ever the dramatics, huh, mate?”
“‘Course.” Sirius flopped down beside James, “It comes with my charm and devilishly good looks.”
“Ah, yes.” Y/n said, chuckling, “Don’t you see how I’m swooning for you?”
The back of her palm was against her forehead, “Come off it.” James swatted at her and then elbowed Sirius, “Better not make my sister swoon.”
Sirius chuckled and shrugged, “Can’t help it. I’m just that irresistible.”
The four of them laughed at Sirius’ dramatics and continued talking about the new term. Remus and Y/n were talking about books they couldn’t wait to read. Remus was even kind enough to gift her some muggle books he bought over the summer holiday. Sirius and James bickered about what pranks to do this year, along with which ones were better.
Third-year was fun. It was a year of flooding corridors, turning Slytherin robes red and blasting music in the common room after a Gryffindor victory. James was a brilliant Quidditch Chaser, and Y/n was a fantastic Seeker. Nothing was quite like the Potter pair. Something about them was just unforgettable.
Maybe that’s why Sirius was so fond of her. Something about the Potters made people around them smile on the hardest of days. They made sure that every moment was a night to remember. Every memory was worth reliving. So adventurous, so reckless, yet so kind and loving.
By the time fifth year rolled around, Sirius Orion Black had fallen off a cliff into a lake called love. Sirius completely submerged himself in love for Y/n Potter. The younger twin by just 20 minutes, but something about her was so divine. Was it her silk and glittering h/c hair? No - maybe it was her gleaming e/c eyes. Perhaps it was for her strive for adventure and extreme kindness.
Nonetheless, Sirius fell hard.
And who better to tell than James Potter himself?
Causally - as usual - Sirius opened the door to the Marauders dorm. It was empty aside from the brunet boy with glasses on the bridge of his nose. His hazel eyes were focused on a textbook - Potions textbook - maybe it was to impress Lily. Sirius couldn’t care less, so he pulled the chair out in front of the desk and sat before James.
“Mate, I need your help.”
“Running from Filch?”
“No. Something- Something worse.”
“Something worse?” The textbook shut loudly.
Sirius nodded, “Way worse.”
“Alright then, come into my office.” James teased, and Sirius grinned.
It was silent, “I’m in love with your sister.”
James sputtered, “Excuse me?”
“I’m in love with Y/n.”
“No, no.” James waved his hand horizontally, “I heard you.”
“Then what else would you like me to say?” Sirius asked.
“Literally anything else.”
“Sorry, mate.” Sirius muttered, “I- I really didn’t mean to.”
James chuckled and wiped his hand across his face, “I suppose you can’t really stop love, huh?”
“You really can’t.” Sirius agreed, “I tried. I promise I tried.”
“It’s not that big of a deal late.” James assured, and Sirius looked at him with wide eyes, “I trust you just-“
“Just?”
“I’m worried about her.” James completed, “I- I worry about her every night.”
Sirius softened, “It’s like you with Regulus-“ James continued before Sirius could interject, “And don’t pretend. Your silencing charms are bloody terrible.”
“I know you still care for Regulus, you worry about him every night, and I do the same for Y/n, except my silencing charms are better.” James teased sightly, “I trust you, Sirius. You’re the brother I never got but always wanted. You know, the brother I can play Quidditch with, rough around with, the brother who’s just as sneaky and mischievous as I.”
“But Y/n is still my blood. She's my twin, my best friend, my partner in crime. She was the mind behind my pranks before Remus.” James elaborated and then smirked, “Remus and Y/n make a great team, ya’ know?”
“They are quite brilliant.”
“Anyway, what I’m trying to say is, take care of her?” James looked like the eleven-year-old boy again, “Don’t make her a fling and don’t make this temporary.”
“Y/n is a strong woman, and she isn’t for weak men. I’ll be honest,” James chuckled, “She doesn’t need a man. She doesn’t even really need me. I need her more than she needs me. Regardless, take care of her. She deserves a man worthy of her. Someone that’ll get her ice cream at 4 a.m. because she’s craving it. Someone that’ll go on sporadic trips with her. Someone that’ll understand that after a hard day, all she wants is a book and coffee.”
Sirius was appalled; he’d never seen James look so passionate, “Growing up, mum always told me to be a gentleman. I know it may not seem like it sometimes, but she always raised me as one. To hold a door for them, push and push in their chairs for them, give them my jacket even if I’ll freeze.”
“Those kinda things. Dad said I should practice on Y/n, and I did. From then, Y/n always got treated like a queen, and she deserves no less. I won't lie, my parents treat me like a king too, and I don’t want any less either.” James explained, “Be the king that’s worthy of my sister.”
“That’s all I ask of you.”
Sirius nodded, “I’d be honored to serve her as my queen.”
“And if you show her no less, she’ll spit you out like chewing gum.”
He shuttered, “I hate how accurate that phrase is.”
James laughed, “I know her more than you think.”
By sixth year they were dating. Sirius would be lying if he wasn’t eternally shitting himself when Y/n said yes to going to Hogsmeade with him, alone, as a date. In fact, James almost wanted to throw him a party for finally not being a little bitch and asking out his sister. This party consisted of a bottle of firewhiskey and chocolate because that’s all that was in the boy's dormitory. But a party nonetheless.
When Lily rejected James for the last time before graduation, he was utterly heartbroken. He’d spent and dedicated seven years of his life to this gorgeous woman. Despite all his efforts and all his charms, she still wasn’t interested. James tried. He really tried. He wanted Lily so bad. His heart broke when she said her final words of goodbye.
“I’m sorry, Potter. Maybe in another life, just not this one.”
Tears had ebbed at the corner of his eyes as he made his way back into the castle from the Black Lake. In the common room, where he felt like he had just got dowsed in water. James made his way to the girl's dormitory. His hand curled into a fist and knocked lightly on the wooden door. Shuffling was heard from the other side, and the door finally opened, revealing his sister.
Without warning, James crashed into her arms, forcing his nose in the crook of her neck, “Woah.”
“Are you okay, James?”
His body shook with sobs as he shook his head no, “It’s okay. Let’s go lay down, okay?”
Gently she led him to her bed. He curled up beneath the navy blue comforter and placed his head on the silk pillow sheets. If he tried hard enough, he could forget the way Lily’s hair smelt today or the way her green eyes glistened in the sun. Now engulfed in his sister's scent, trying to remove every feeling for Lily possible, he dug his nose deeper into the comforter.
Y/n sat beside him, her back to the headboard, and ran her fingers through James’ already untied hair, “What's got you so worked up?”
“It’s done.”
“What’s done?”
“L- Lily and I.” James choked, “She- She really doesn’t want me.”
A new wave of tears overcame him, and Y/n continued to try and soothe him, “Well, she’s a tosser.”
James narrowed his eyes, “James, you know I love her. She's my best friend, but if she can’t see what’s right in front of her, then she’s an idiot.”
“Can I- Can I stay here tonight?” He asked hesitantly.
“You sure you don’t want me to stay at your dorm?” Y/n questioned, “Because you know who sleeps here.”
“Will you stay with me?”
“Till the end.”
After a couple of minutes, Y/n and James made their way down the steps to the boy's side. They walked up more steps and finally made it to the boy's dormitory. James collapsed on his bed in the left corner of the room, and Sirius perked up at seeing his girlfriend enter the room.
“Whatcha doin’ here, love?”
“Staying with my brother.”
Sirius nodded and stood up to hug her, gently pecking her forehead, “If you guys need anything, let me know, ‘kay?”
“Thanks, Siri.”
Gently Y/n pulled back the maroon curtain and sat down beside him again. James reached for her hand and intertwined their fingers. Something they used to do as kids. When a thunderstorm would go by, James would always seek sanctuary in his sister's comfort.
He fell asleep that night, knowing he was safe, loved, and knew that someone cared about him. Even if Lily didn’t love him, at least someone else did. He had his boys, and he had his sister. Right now, that’s all he needed beside him: Screw Lily and her idiot decision skills. Y/n was right; she was a complete tosser.
When Hogwarts was over, James and Y/n got a flat together. Sirius, Remus, and Peter got one only a floor above. Realistically this wasn’t the plan. James always planned to buy a house with Lily, but he was still healing, and after everything going on, it was vital for him to hold his sister close to him.
Euphemia and Fleamont barely lived to see their children graduate. Not too long afterward had died due to the horrid dragon pocks. It devastated both twins and Sirius. While Sirius wasn’t their true child, he very well could’ve. Euphemia noticed Sirius’s lingering stares on Y/n and the loopy smile that graced his features.
She was the one who got Sirius to man up. She was the one who gave him advice. She was the one who told him what books were her favorite, which chocolate she liked the best, her favorite quills. Euphemia was one of the main components in getting Sirius to date her daughter, and when it finally happened, the parents couldn’t have been happier.
James’ ADHD still remained even in his adulthood, making regular everyday tasks much harder and twice as long. Most of the time, the pills were able to help him complete those tasks. But sometimes, when Y/n wasn’t there to remind him, he would miss his days. When Y/n got home from work, she had barely taken off her shoes to see the apartment spotless.
It was a pleasant surprise, but James was never really one to clean, not that she really minded, but the apartment didn’t have a speck of dust on it. Hesitantly she put her keys on the island along with her bag.
“James!”
“Yes, Y/n?”
He appeared in the kitchen where Y/n was, “Um, did you clean the apartment?”
“Yes, I did!” James nodded enthusiastically.
Y/n sighed and gave her brother a sweet smile, “What did you not do today?”
“So, you know how you told me to go to the pharmacy?”
“Mhm.” Y/n nodded, “Indeed I do.”
“Well, they were out of my meds.” James informed, “I have to wait a week.”
“Oh, Merlin.”
“On the bright side!” James was already causing her a headache, “It’s gonna be a fantastic week! I’ve got so many things planned for us! We’re gonna go-“
James continued to ramble as Y/n grabbed her keys, bag and slipped back on her shoes, “I’m going to Sirius’!”
“Thought you were my sister.” James faked pouting, and Y/n smiled, “I love you, but you’re crazy.”
“I love you too!” He yelled as she closed the door.

Artistic Movements in Arcane: Art Deco
Arcane places a lot of attention to art and visual language. Piltover has an immediate steampunky vibe and Zaun has a deep industral, punk, urban feel, which the sets and objects use to carry clear deeper messages. It should be no surprise that there’s clearly a lot of influence from artistic movements throughout the past 400-500 years. The art appreciator in me wants to point them out, starting with:
ART DECO This hallmark of the roaring 20s is probably the most obvious movement. Characterised by bold lines, geometrical motifs, striking colours, and detailed craftmanship, it’s pretty much Piltover’s whole thing. Art Deco came from a time of prosperity and luxury, interest in science, curiousity in the exoticised other places. That fits Piltover, a prosperous city that is Runeterra’s bastion of trade and progress, pretty well. You can find it pretty much everywhere in Piltover. While making this analysis, I just kept taking screen shots until I realised that Piltover is effectively just a big ball of Art Deco.
Tumblr media
Arcane’s logo itself.
Tumblr media
It’s on this lamp and the tiles.
Tumblr media
These buildings.
Tumblr media
The chairs in the council room.
Tumblr media
In Caitlyn’s SHOWER. The SHOWER, for God’s sake.
The list could go on, and it’s clear why Piltover gets so much out of this movement. The intricate style of Art Deco is so evoking of science and prosperity. And the rigid angles of the various geometric figures could be interpreted as quite symbolic of the rigid hierarchy and the stiff, ineffective council.
Tumblr media
Mel is clearly the most Art Decked Out character. She is the epitome of wealth, political power, and trade. Her actions are the driving force in the council. Being kicked out by her mother from Noxus, she thrives as a people person and business mogul in Piltover. She is arguably the one with the most highest authority. She loves her new home and wants to show it as much as possible, especially in a way to cast off her old time in Noxus.
Tumblr media
Other characters with significant Art Deco in their designs are Jayce and Silco. Jayce is pretty much the face of Piltover and a big enthusiast of technology, progress, and science. He has it all. Meanwhile, Silco covets progress and wealth for Zaun. He’s essentially dressing for sucess. His motif of red, gold, and black accents parallel Jayce’s red, gold, and white. Both want prosperity for their people, hence the gold, have a lot of dedication to their work, hence the passionate red, but are on opposing sides, hence the black and white.
There is so much Art Deco in Arcane I could really go on and on, but time is short and I plan to explore other movements as well.

Details I noticed in the Asylum
(This is in no way a comprehensive list)
1. The Bingo number B-22 from the caption of the Bingo card picture they posted for promotion was mentioned (someone also pointed out that Jake is a keen Bingo player in the comics)
2. One dude is playing with a Rubik’s cube like Steven did in Episode 1
3. Donna is holding a beetle plushie like she was holding a box full of in Episode 1. Another person pointed out that this could represent the scarab.
4. The hour hand in the clock behind Donna is shaped like Khonshu’s staff with the crescent moon on top
5. In spite of my Arabic reading being rusty (which I am absolutely not proud of and I fully intend to remedy), I recognized how the numbers on the clock were in Arabic (I loved this little detail hahaha)
5. Donna is holding something orange in her hand but I can’t tell what it is, might be nothing
6. Of course, Bek is a nurse lol (I so wish Gaspard Ulliel’s Anton Mogart had been in the hospital too :((((( )
7. A tray of cupcakes is being pushed by Bek, which is a callback to the cupcake van from Episode 1
8. There is a red device on the wall with the symbol of a broken heart on it, but I have no idea if it means anything
9. (Probably) the lady who made Layla’s fake passport is drawing a picture of Khonshu as a birdie with wings
10. A goldfish (obviously representing Gus) is floating in thin air inside a bowl (couldn’t read the titles of the books that the fishbowl was resting on so if anyone can do that and find any connection, feel free to add that)
11. The same guy who the Heka priest’s zombie was cutting up in this episode comes to Marc to put the brakes on his wheelchair
12. Layla is eating a marshmallow like she was at the beginning of Episode 3 and putting up postcards like Steven did against his aquarium in Episode 1 (wish I could figure out the drawings on the board)
13. There is a bandage around Layla’s pinkie with a scarab drawn on it in red (Scarlet Scarab foreshadowing?)
14. Layla says “We won” like Steven told her after finding Ammit’s ushabti
15. This one is obvious: Marc falls down while trying to stand up from his chair because of having an ankle restraint, which is a callback to Steven having an ankle restraint while going to sleep in Episode 1
16. Another glaringly obvious one: there is a Moon Knight toy in Marc’s hand that falls down. I personally see this as a representation of Marc losing the suit and hence being in a vulnerable position, like, getting shot. The toy is even lying on the ground with its arms spread out. Another interpretation could be that the Moon Knight, i.e., Marc, is basically a puppet in this place.
17. The movie’s title being “Tomb Buster” is another obvious thing because Marc has seen his fair share of tombs as a mercenary and they literally raided a tomb right in this episode to get to the ushabti
18. Harrow as Marc’s doctor quotes that no tree can ascend to the light of heaven if it doesn’t descend to the depths of hell. From what I know of Egyptian mythology, Ammit is supposed to reside in hell and she is fed the hearts of sinners? (I could be wrong though and please do correct me if I am)
19. The painting in the doctor’s office is of the Eastern European area Marc/Steven went to in Episode 1 I think.
20. Harrow’s cane and shoes: I don’t think I need to elaborate
21. An insect sits on Marc’s hand and it has to mean something but I don’t know what.
22. A small Ammit figure sits on Harrow’s desk.
23. An irregular glass pyramid represents the Pyramid of Giza.
24. “I can’t help you if you don’t help yourself,” is basically another version of “I can’t save anyone who won’t save themselves.”
25. There are three figures on a glass platform in Harrow’s office with three Egyptian gods but I don’t know them (someone help this girl out)
26. A crocodile head plated in gold is in the office which again points to Ammit.
27. Steven is inside a sarcophagus which is reminiscent of how Marc apparently used to keep this alter suppressed but it didn’t stay that way.
28. There is another sarcophagus which HAS TO contain Jake.
29. Taweret shows up, which was foreshadowed by the hippo plushies Donna made Steven pick up in Episode 1.
All right, that’s all I could find, and I would love some help in this regard so if you find something I didn’t, sound off please.

Some agentreign, with a tattoo artist Alex!
Alex knew the roughly sketched symbol, of course. How could she not recognize the insignia of the character her sister played on her show—the campy series with its sometimes shallow commentary or ham-fisted allegories of the world, but that left enough room for interpretation that lent to a beloved view of its main cast.
When Alex glanced up at the woman who had booked her afternoon slot, there seemed nothing outwardly fan-ish about her—her aesthetic one of corporate power, her blazer a sharp cut from a designer Alex couldn’t be bothered to know the name of, her palette choices bold, but smart—not someone she would have read as having much time for fun. But then, Kara was much the same, and she knew better about how deeply her sister loved being a part of a show about superheroes.
“My daughter really loves the show,” the woman offered with a little wave of her hand at the drawing, a jittery air around her, as if she anticipated the judgment she might face, “and Supergirl is her favorite character, of course!” She laughed, a short puff exhaled as her shoulders sagged and her hand returned to ring together with her other. “She said I was her Supergirl the other day, and if you knew how much she loves the character—“
Alex stopped her then, a gentle smile touching her lips. “That is a beautiful base for a tattoo,” she assured. She stepped forward, reached out without thinking, hand covering the nervous twist of fingers, warm against her palm. That close, she realized how tall the woman was—especially as her shoulders pulled back and she straightened up just a little.
Alex almost withdrew her hand as the woman’s teeth clacked sharply together. She watched lashes flutter over warm chocolate eyes as they dropped to where their hands touched, lingering while their breath was held as one.
“Wow— ” one hand pulled free of hers, Alex’s stomach ready to turn, only for fingers to run so gingerly over her own skin—from wrist up her forearm—drawing her gaze down to the full sleeve of ink that she had poured her own heart into, disappearing beneath the once-tidy cuff of her shirt, since stained with the efforts of the day. “Your tattoos are… so…” she had heard all manner of words to describe the art she wore—everything from ‘intense’ to ‘troubling’—rarely a favorable opinion coming from someone who wasn’t an enthusiast, “catching.”
Alex swallowed as those fingers traced a line of color, meant to accentuate the form of the figures at the center of the design—both a representation of herself, stood back to back; one stripped down to blood and bone; the other painted in an unnatural light, too ‘perfect’, meeting all the expectations placed on her, shackles on her wrists and chains weighing down her shoulders.
“I designed it myself,” she said the first thing to come to mind, her eyes almost rolling at her own lack of wit.
“I really like it,” the woman commented before seeming to realize how long she had been touching Alex, her hand jerking upward, a marvelous warmth reaching her cheeks.
They parted, a full pace put between them by the time Alex found the breath to offer her thanks.
“So, um, did you just want the insignia?” Alex held up the sketch to bring them back to business.
The woman faltered, a plea writing itself into her expression. “Well, um, so, you might be able to tell, but I’m not much of an artist,” she exhaled, a laugh bubbling up after, plucking at the chords of Alex’s heart. “I know I want to use the symbol, but I… I don’t know what else to include.”
Alex chuckled along with her. “That’s alright,” she assured. “Come on, let me stretch a few ideas for you,” she waved for the woman to follow her, leading them to her drawing table. The sigh of relief she heard tickled up her spine, and she had to resist shivering.
Drawing on little bits of knowledge she had picked up from Kara, Alex started with a simple base, offering the traditional symbol along with a few alternate designs—some softer, some sharper, some with broken or doubled lines to add a bit of extra dimension—before getting into a range of accenting options.
The woman was vocal with her thoughts as she looked over Alex’s shoulder, humming approving notes when something stood out to her, or commenting on the touches she liked, allowing Alex to easily evolve the piece. There was particular interest when she mentioned the phrase ‘el mayarah’ and explained its meaning.
“Oh! Ruby has definitely said that before,” she gushed, the happy little sigh that accompanied the words tugging at the corners of Alex’s lips, her grin so effortless. “We should definitely include that!”
It wasn’t long before they had a final design— staying true to the show’s version of the insignia and incorporating both ‘el mayarah’ and the script of the language used by Supergirl, wreathed by a flowy, cape-like backing.
“This will likely take two visits— one for the linework and base coat, and then another for the detailing. Is that okay?” She certainly wouldn’t be sad to see the woman again and grinned when she agreed. “You said you were hoping to have this on your back,” Alex prompted as she led the woman to her station.
“Over my heart, yeah,” she confirmed.
“I really like it,” Alex echoed the words spoken to her, and she genuinely meant it. She loved the way the woman talked about her daughter, how every word ran deep with love, how cherished the little girl was.
“Is there anything I should know... going in?” There was a surge of nervousness buzzing in the air as the woman shrugged out of her jacket, folding it neatly over the chair at Alex’s desk.
There was a moment—as Alex watched buttons slipping free of their holes—that she forgot herself, staring longer than might have been polite before she busied herself with putting on her gloves and arranging her inks. “Mostly that when I’m over your ribs, you will feel it,” she sucked in a sympathetic breath. “But, I’ll be gentle, and you can always take a break, if you need.”
She waved the woman toward the chair, turning away as she divested her bra and slid into place against the padding.
“Comfortable?” She got only a nod before she pulled up her own stool. “Relax,” she coaxed, placing a gentle hand on the woman’s back. “I’ll take good care of you and you can swear all you like.”
“Glad to know it.”
As Alex had warned, the woman did feel it. Her breath hissed through her teeth, a sharp inhale that tugged at her, but then she relaxed beneath Alex’s hand. “Good girl.” The words slipped out before she could think to question them, and her own breath caught in her lungs, her gun lifting away from the woman’s skin. There was a soft shiver and then stillness, the barest whimper bubbling out of the woman.
Alex could have perished. The woman was so pliant beneath her, and it took everything to concentrate on the design. But she leaned into that soft praise, continued to encourage her to stay loose, and things went very well—hardly needing to hold the woman still and working straight through without a break. And in the end, she did manage to finish the whole piece, running only slightly overtime.
There was a little disappointment knowing that she likely wouldn’t see the woman again. “If you need any touch-ups, you can always reach out,” she offered.
“Thank you,” the woman said as she gingerly slipped back into her jacket. She bent over Alex’s desk, scribbling something down on the sketchpad with all the trial drawings. “Maybe we could get dinner some time,” she nodded down at the page, where her number was scrawled.
“I’d like that,” Alex grinned, excitement blooming in her chest. The woman’s name was also there on the page. “Then, I’ll see you later, Sam.”
“I look forward to it, Alex.” The sentiment echoed through her for days, accompanied with the image of Sam’s haughty little smirk.

Yan!Dad Childe x Daughter Reader
Tumblr media
I’m really about to do this aren’t I.
tws: father-daughter incest, noncon, Daddy content, no age is specified but the implication is like late teens, so that interpretation could go either way, virginity fetishization, gaslighting, manipulation
This one is a lot darker in terms of noncon/gaslighting/victim blaming, so, you've been warned.
Childe is the dad that all your friends love, really, the Cool Dad (in an unironic genuine sort of way)-- always dropping huge amounts of money on you, getting you status symbols and making sure you have stuff no one else has so you can stand out at the top of your peers. After all you represent him, in a way, and if he always has to be the best, so do you.
Much like with his brother, he kinda hides his position from you, only for you he does so indefinitely. You know what your Dad does... sorta. You have a vague idea of who he works with, but what he actually does, you have no idea. Every time you ask, he just laughs and tells you it's big complicated stuff you'd just get bored of listening to him try to explain. He claims it's something or another to do with diplomacy.
Now, unlike the Diluc version, Childe's not gonna restrict you to the home and hide you away all the time, no, he loves showing you off because he's so proud of you! Definitely the type to exaggerate his lil girl's every accomplishment, you could win a participation award and he's gonna act like it's a gold medal, that sort of thing. Nonetheless, he does push you to do pretty well, not excessively so, but definitely is a fan of a no-slacking-off mentality. But yeah, unlike Diluc's daughter you actually have some friends and, you know, go outside. Unfortunately this does lead to some... overprotectiveness, which we'll get to.
He's also one that will spoil a daughter like hell, you never really want for anything... and you have a bunch of stuff you never asked for either, he's always picking something up that "made him think of you" or that you offhandedly mentioned. Spontaneous gifts. Even in a... wholesome way, he's very touchy too. Lots of hugs, head pats, arm around your shoulders at every event you go to.
Because you're going out and living a relatively free life, he kind of... hovers. He's always there, maybe not in the forefront, but always there, selectively choosing when to be in the background or right there in your attention. You get to be the household that friends love coming to because you always spend so much money on little get-togethers... and he's always within your line of sight, maybe outside doing something, maybe across the house, but always listening and watching.
He wants you to introduce him to any boys you have interest in so that they can be approved or denied for dating. Problem is that every single one you find has something wrong with them in his eyes. He frequently tells you that the boys your age are all scumbags, only chasing sex and that's simply not good enough for you. You can pout all you want, but he's not letting you go out. Don't think about planning a date with a "friend" that ends up being a date with a boy either. You KNOW this man is the type to follow you or even send subordinates to follow you on your little days out with "friends" to make sure there's nothing you're hiding from him... and if there is, he'll be waiting for you back home, that classic move of sitting in the chair directly facing the door so that the moment you get back you have to confront him. And he doesn't have a lot of mercy when it comes to teaching his kids not to lie to him - it's one of the worst behaviors in his eyes, so expect to be watched like a hawk for a long, long time. He's the type to make you start coming to him at his work at the end of the day of school/work rather than going home so that he can keep a better eye on you, which is difficult to do since he would rather you not find out the details of what he does, but if it's keeping you safe, it's worth it.
Like normal Childe, he tends to kinda be... apathetic regarding the "rightness" of his own actions. Honestly, he's a "because I said so" type of Dad and shamelessly so, he thinks your obedience is mandatory and that he's owed it because of his natural authority. He IS the laid back, super nice Dad until you cross a boundary, at which point he can quickly become a very harsh one. It's a mix of being laid-back and chill in personality, but actually very strict on most things.
So basically, your friends don't know why you're so obedient since they think your dad would be a pushover.... What they don't see is what he's like when he's unhappy. He can drop that sweet smile very quickly. You're Pavlov'ed to his voice really - when it drops and gets low and commanding, you know you're in for it. You know how he is - sweet until a rule is broken. So just be a good girl, and you'll be fine. When he's mad, he talks down to you - like you're a baby, like you're stupid, it's humiliating, but it encourages you to do the right thing.
He doesn't have a delusional period, though, he knows what's up right away when he starts feeling weird. He just doesn't really feel all that bad about it because he justifies it as just nature and not something wrong. You're a beautiful young girl, it's just the primal-monkey-brain yelling at him that there's a very fuckable, tight and wet piece of meat readily available to him. That's just natural, its not anything wrong with him. That's why he chooses not to feel bad about lingering gazes and the occasional less-than-wholesome thought -- it's not that bad, sometimes he just wonders what you must be doing when you're locked in your room by yourself, so it's not weird to put his ear up to the door, or he just comes up behind you when you're doing something standing and leans a bit so he can make sure you're wearing shorts under your skirt like he told you to (you never do), or checking in while you're bathing with a hand over his eyes (with a prominent gap between some fingers) to make sure you haven't passed out.
It takes his resolve a surprisingly short time to crack, though. You're just way too cute, and you keep pushing it and teasing him when you walk around the house in short, tight comfortable clothes you've long outgrown, bending over here or there to pick things up when he's right there in the same room, letting out those soft little moans when you stretch, it's like you're trying to be inappropriate around him. Like you're trying to agitate him. Like you're asking to be taught a lesson.
Now, unlike Diluc's daughter, you're less sheltered, and, well, you know what sex is and how it works and that you're definitely not supposed to do it with him. He knows this, and he's going to have to... work around that. It creates more conflict, since he can't just tell you "it's ok because it is" and expect you to believe that. So what he ultimately settles for is presenting it as a punishment. It's a result of all the sexual frustration that's been rising that he's been unable to get rid of, and an irritation that has been growing at you for being such a cock tease and not considering your poor father's eyes whenever you choose to walk around like that. Really, it's selfish on your part, you should be a little more considerate of him, since you're the one tempting him and making him have these thoughts. No one to blame but yourself, so you need to think long and hard about your actions.
So one day, when it's just the two of you all day, he just gets that serious tone of voice that tells you that you've fucked up and you're in for it, tells you to come into his room -- which is odd, you think, he's never taken you to his room for any of your "talks." And frankly, you have no idea what you've done, but you know better than to defy him, so you go.
What he tells you is, at a breaking point of frustration, he certainly didn't raise you to be so immodest, to dress like a whore, and that the intentionally teasing and hypersexual behavior, in front of your own father of all people, is incredibly disappointing, not to mention dangerous.
Of course you sputter in shock and deny such an intent, but he just sighs and gets more frustrated that not only would you do this, but you'd lie about it. It's very obvious that this is intentional, and you're doing yourself no favors by lying to him, you're just making this worse on both of you.
If you're so shameless that you'd act that way around him, obviously you're acting that way around boys your own age, and he can't have that. He delves into your... History, telling you to be honest with him and tell him exactly what you've done with other boys. Of course you couldn't have done anything with him hovering as he does, but he doesn't quite believe you. You've probably come close, even if you are still a virgin, which he's willing to believe.
But if you keep behaving this way, you'll only put yourself in danger. Really, this hurts him more than it hurts you, but if you don't get it, he'll have to show you why boys can be so dangerous. Pin you down and tell you to struggle so you can see how helpless you'd be if someone was trying to take advantage of you.
And then he comes up with a new idea. You're all horny and hormonal, he gets that, he was your age once. So, in order to protect that purity of yours from all those awful boys, he'll just have to ruin you for any of them. You brought this on yourself, so, don't give him an attitude.
It is a punishment, but still, he's weak to his little girl, so he can't bring himself to be as rough as you deserve. He still wipes the little tears off your eyes, and fingers you until you're nice and wet before fucking you. He makes sure to add that you'd never feel this good with anyone else, they wouldn't know how to please you like he can. Soothes your little whimpers with kisses to the forehead.
Of course, you start telling him that it feels good - not with enthusiasm, but with horror, whimpering for him to stop because it's so wrong now, you shouldn't be feeling that... He says it's ok, just like he's able to get off to it, it's all just the animalistic natural part of our brains that don't think about things like that. It's not your fault, you have nothing to be ashamed of... And, really, he's happy he gets to be the one to do this, not having to give you over to someone else who would never love you the way he does. Really, isn't it better this way? He's always taken care of you and made you feel safe, so... Sure it's a little wrong, but clearly you're both enjoying it, so how wrong can it be, really?
Eventually you realize you're going to cum (he asks you how you know, have you ever cum before? Did you do it to yourself? You shouldn't be doing dirty things like that, you know), and you try to back away. But he just pulls you back and impales you on him again, and says it's fine, he won't judge you for it if you do, but since this is a punishment, if you want that release you have to politely ask him for permission to do so... Tell Daddy you want to cum. Which is off, since you, his daughter, hasn't called him that in years, but you find yourself doing exactly what he says.
It becomes a routine, reminding you you don't need anyone else, testing you to make sure you haven't been with anyone else, which he gauges based on how tight you should be feeling, as if he's not watching you even more intently now anyway. It keeps your wild hormones in check and prevents you from acting so promiscuously like you were doing before. Although nothing has actually changed... If anything, you're being made to wear even worse clothes around the house, and he's way more touchy than ever, insists on taking baths with you, insisting you sleep in his room at night with him so that you don't go sneaking out your window. It's ok, he knows you know no better than to be reckless like that, that's why he's here to guide and guard you after all.
He starts telling you to call him Daddy again, like you did when you were little. It's just so cute and he hates that you ever grew out of it. It would really be sweet and show him you acknowledge his authority.
It becomes long term without you ever intending it to be - it's like you keep telling yourself that was the last time, but then suddenly you wake up one day and it's been a year, then two, then three, of living like this, and it's only gotten worse. You aren't sure exactly when he took over your life completely, he did it so subtly, so perfectly, you're none the wiser.
Forget about the boys your age. After all, what would any of them think if they knew you were such a slut you fucked him? What would your friends think? They'd all understand why he did it, he says, so by telling anyone you're just hurting your own reputation, not his.
And so, you become locked in that cycle. And over time, the disgust and the shame... It starts to melt away. You don't feel bad about it anymore. You start feeling horny whenever you think about him. You start to crave him. You find yourself enjoying your time, your talks, your sex... You never needed anyone else, anyway. Daddy was the only person you ever needed, and you'd just be miserable with anyone else. You're glad he showed you that.

i'm not sure if you're aware that fans have discovered that yijin's stuffs are in heedo's old room, but do you think this is just a hint that they *will* be endgame in the end?
ppl thought that he might've died and gave his belongings to heedo. although that'd be kinda weird bcs shouldnt they be given to his family instead?
honestly i think there's no way this show won't make baekdo endgame... but all the theories and speculations i see on twitter make me anxious. 🥲
another anon said:
Have you seen on Twitter that apparently in Heedo's bedroom in the present timeline her and Yijin's casset players are together? The post I saw if from Twitter user lovebkyjn. I'll try sending a link and see if it works: https://twitter.com/lovebkyjn/status/1506302553545666565?t=OP5zxkuq99eMO6y9v3HVJg&s=19 From another tweet in that thread apparently Heedo also has a tiny skateboard from Yijin's apartment.
thank you to both anons!!! i decided to collate both asks because they refer to the same topic 💕
so, to answer the first question: yes, i’ve seen both posts! in fact i had a little celebratory dance afterwards and went to scream in my bestie’s dms about how it made the endgame all the more likely.
to answer the second question:
as of now, both interpretations of the pictures are equally likely when taken out of context. of course the show can still screw us over, because everything is possible. but i discussed this at length with my friend, and here are some of the observations we came up, including further theories of hee do and yi jin’s future:
as you said, there is little reason for yi jin’s belongings to go to hee do in the event of his death, especially a cassette player, unless she asks for it explicitly. while there is a technical possibility for this to happen, i don’t believe that it would.
the belongings are all collected in hee do’s old room, where we’ve also seen other objects connected to yi jin, such as a telescope and two bicycle toys. this got me thinking: why would hee do have toys connected to yi jin that she brought into her old room as early as her twenties? my theory is that when yi jin and hee do had min chae, she often came to stay in hee do’s old room and be watched by hee do’s mom, which is why they bought min chae the toys and arranged them for her.
the photo yi jin has ended up in an album with hee do’s photos, which i strongly believe proves that the album was made by the two of them.
hee do takes a long time to fall in love with someone. me and my friend were discussing that she could be demisexual, because the only people she’s had a strong emotional bond with are people she knew for a long time: yu rim and yi jin. she’s never had real crushes on people she met briefly, which led us both to believe that it would be very difficult for her to move on in the case of yi jin’s death.
hee do had min chae when she was 26, leaving her only four years from being with yi jin to having a child in the case of him dying when she was 21. given that it took her four years (18 to 21) to even date yi jin as per the premise, it seems unlikely to both me and my friend that hee do would have been able to move on from this loss and fall genuinely in love in time to get married at 25 and have a child at 26.
min chae is the child of a healthy marriage filled with love. she exhibits all the qualities of the “spoiled” only child, including a healthy amount of rebelliousness towards her parents, and none of the burden and sadness that yu rim and yi jin exhibit from having to bear their parents’ burdens too early. this means that hee do did not experience divorce and remarriage, so there’s no way she could be with someone other than yi jin.
so many details of hee do’s present life symbolize yi jin and their relationship. her workshop is called 25, 21, and a name for a lifelong business is always chosen with a positive emotion, because you want that positive energy to fuel you in your daily work. there are five rainbow chairs displayed where she works, items symbolizing or belonging to yi jin in hee do’s old room, and the photo album.
so here’s a quandary: if hee do has moved on from yi jin, why would she surround herself with symbols of him? and if hee do is stuck in the past while yi jin is gone from her life, why would she forget about the beach trip and the photo album, if she idealizes and cherishes the memories of him? none of these assumptions make sense when we take the full picture into account. this leads me and my friend to think that the show is messing with us for fun, that yi jin and hee do are happily married, and that she forgot the beach trip because she has many more memories with him to remember.
let’s take a final look at “sad ending evidence”: jaurim's song twenty five, twenty one as an inspiration for the show. for those unaware, the song is played over the ending of episode two and is based on the singer’s life; in it, she reminisces about her first love, who died when they were young. the point i want to make here is about how writers approach influences and retellings: we always want to change something. when we approach a source text, we never want to replicate it exactly, because we need to keep surprising ourselves and our audience. we want to tell a story different from the story we heard, but with enough elements remaining to remind of the source.
hence, the show constantly plays with our expectations of a sad or happy ending, but its ultimate choice depends on the way it develops the relationship. if yi jin was going to die, we would have seen him and hee do have a long and acknowledged romantic relationship, a happy time that was tragically cut short. but twenty five, twenty one isn’t the journey: it’s the destination. it’s not a golden age we watch the characters be happy in: it’s an event we keep waiting and waiting and waiting for along with them, the moment where they will start the relationship that will warm them for the rest of their lives.

“We are going to a party”
This was an incredibly abrupt statement from the detective who was still in pajamas at four in the afternoon, slouched down into the arm chair with the news paper covering his face. I couldn’t see his emotions, but I could tell that the idea had already been formulated, and he had not quite been excited out of it. His boredom was chronic, and it would often times only be soothed by myself to get him out of it.
The first time we met, I was sitting on a park bench in Paddington Street Gardens, not but two blocks away from his flat. As if drawn to the cigarette I was smoking, he walked up as casually as he could, coat turned up, and sat on the bench over from my left. I didn’t look, but I was aware that a tall, dark man was watching me as I tried to solve today's crossword in the paper.
He leaned closer, trying to take in the smoke for the nicotine high. With a slight glance his way, it was all I needed to take the cigarette from my mouth in my left hand, and casually rest it on the bench next to me. I blew out the smoke to the right side of my mouth though, purposefully keeping it from him, allowing my lips to guide the smoke in a stream to dissipate into the morning air. Still looking at the crossword, I began filling in 20 across, feeling a sense of intrigue and frustration emanating from the man next to me.
“It’s not diva, its aria,” a deep voice says. I smirk, not looking up to his face quite yet.
“No shit, Sherlock. 18 down is ‘erie’, so why would I put down diva?” I inquire, but before he could answer, I reply myself. “I was proving my hypothesis: is the detective next to me just trying to second-hand smoke, or is he actually paying attention to me? And the answer was both.”
He stands and comes to sit on my right side, not looking at me directly. The cigarette dangling from my lip wasn’t his main concern anymore.
“How quickly did you realize it is only an herbal cigarette Mr. Holmes?” I ask, erasing my trap from 20 across.
“As soon as I first looked at you. You have no stains on your fingers from the smoke, as well as no burns, which tells me you don’t smoke often. If you were a smoker, you would need at least a pack a day, and these tell-tale signs would be there. You don’t need to smoke because there isn’t an addiction. I presume you do it to attract men, though possibly women too, and to fit into the culture of London, as you are not from here. But you specifically looked up this park because you were looking for something or someone. I would presume it is me, considering you recognized me through my name” he says smuggly, finally looking at me. I didn’t know it then, but he later explained that he was shocked to see the prominence of my “subtle beauty”, and the way in which I held posture in every way that symbolized I was relaxed next to him. This of course was followed by the fact that I was so comfortable that I had gained a pound within the first year of knowing him.
“So you are as good as they say,” I reply, looking up into his clear blue eyes. Those eyes dart down to my lips where the cigarette is still being held by the moisture of my mouth. I remove it, holding out the cigarette between my fingers. “I can imagine it is worlds different from a regular cigarettes addictive effects, but the smell of smoke and the herbs inside might calm you,” I offer. He leans down and takes the cigarette in his mouth, inhaling deeply. I let go of the cigarette as he leans back and removes it. He exhales out, happy to have something other than CO2 leave his lungs.
“You could have phoned” he said nonchalantly. I closed the newspaper and turned my body slightly more towards him.
“No I couldn’t. This isn’t about a case or me looking for my parents or some shit. I needed you to listen. I am a doctor and I am looking for the topic of my next publication” I state. His eyes widen a bit, as he gives me a once over. I was quite young to have a doctorate, but the ambition I have was intriguing to him.
“Great, another doctor. And you must study some form of psychology right?” he implies.
I chuckle as I brush the hair behind my ear to look at him as I explain my credentials.
“BA in a social science and a minor in Women's Studies and Gender, just to make it easier on you. Two masters in something to do with policy and a knack for behavior trends across cultures. A PhD in…” I trail off to let him figure it out.
“International Relations. You couldn’t let go of the need to work abroad and help other. You also study the difference in human behaviors and how it can be interpreted and persuaded. It is why you are now living in London, after living in a southern European country, and I’m going to go with Italy” he responds.
I raise my eyebrow at him. “Italy was fun. I spent most of the time on the mainland with a friend and would visit their family in Sardinia”.
“He was gay wan’t he?”
“Not that he himself knew.”
The detective laughed. It was the beginning of a friendship, with many late nights, bad coffee and fighting. I lived in the basement of 221 Baker Street, after coming to a bargain price with Mrs. Hudson if I agreed to get rid of the black mold and redo the space for future renters. When I asked her why she was already thinking of future renters, she just smiled and told me Sherlock's door was open and I could just walk in.
Now, a year and a half later, I was in his flat, in my own night gown and robe, working on pot of tea to make a London foggy, one of Sherlocks favorite drinks I could make. I had told him that if he got to work in his pajamas, or just a sheet at times, then he couldn’t expect anything less of me. But his abrupt statement that we were going to a party had me do a double take.
“A party? Are we feeling like clubbing tonight Sherlock?” I tease.
“It is just a bit of field work. But I need you to come with as my date so that I am not bothered by lonely, sad women.”
“Ah yes. All the lonely, sad women will flock to the handsome, cocky detective for comfort and an inquisitive night,” I mock, bringing the tea to him.
“Isn’t that what you did?” He says without looking up.
Offended, I grab the paper from his hands and smack him on the head with it. He flinched, protecting his tea from me.
“Haven’t you figured it out by now? I’m here for John” I say, tossing the paper into his lap. Sherlocks mouth slightly gapes before he snaps it shut, looking behind me.
“I’m sorry, what did I just walk in on?” John says from the doorway. Sherlock turns red as I walk up to John, pulling my leg up on him, placing my hand on his cheek while giving him a lingering kiss on the other, maintaining eye contact with Sherlock. “Afternoon John,” I say with a flirtatious growl. He didn’t move since my dramatic act, and as I exited the apartment to get ready, I hear John exclaim “I could get used to that kind of welcome”. I laugh as I hear the paper get thrown at the doctor.
Two hours later, and a lot of fighting with a curling wand, I hear a knock at my door. I do a once-over of myself in the mirror. It was a high-end party, requiring a more put together look, and I was determined to look my best. In helping Sherlock and John, I realized that I rarely dressed up-practicality and professionalism is key.
I put my phone into my handbag, and slipped my feet into my black pointed stilettos. One more once-over in the mirror next to the door, and I unlatched the lock. As soon as I opened it, the detective couldn’t help but let his eyes wander. My hair was in loose curls around my face, and the dress, oh the dress, flattered my body in every way. It was a silk green dress, that hugged every curve. It was ruched in the sides, creating a tight draping across my abdomen. The fabric on my bust sat just below the tops of my breasts, and dropped to my off-the-shoulder sleeves. I was wearing a simple emerald necklace with matching earrings, and a ruby ring on my left hand. My legs were well accentuated, and the stilettos did wonders for my posture. Still, I was the same girl in pajamas at this now well suited man's place as I was now.
“You’re giving yourself away Detective,” I flirt, walking by him to climb the stairs to the front of the building. I make extra care to add a little movement as I climb, knowing he would be right behind me and very distracted. It was my favorite game to tease both of the boys, but especially Sherlock. It was always a game, and he loved games. As I exited the building, John was waiting for us outside, also dressed sharply. His eyes widened as I walked towards him.
“In the words of a great detective, ‘Your body betrays you’ John. It’s still me inside this get-up. Now where is the cab?” I ask.
“Umm...uh, there hasn’t been an available one yet...” he forces out.
London was busy on a Saturday night, and it could often be difficult to find a cab. Lucky for us, my dress is pretty reflective, and I was going to use that to my advantage. I stepped off the curb just slightly, jutting out my shoulder blades and putting my weight on one foot to give myself more shape. By the time I had raised my hand, two taxis pulled up. I heard a cough behind me, Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson both smirking at me.
“I’m sorry, did you have a better idea?” I shoot at them. I open the door for myself and climb into the cab. The two men clambered in after me.
The party was at a lovely high-rise in the middle of London. It looked to be a penthouse, but one grander than I had ever seen. As the three of us exited the elevator, we looked at each other once more, setting our plan in motion. John was to walk around and mingle, while Sherlock and I were to snoop about the place, looking for context clues. I grabbed a flute of champagne from one of the trays, and Sherlock and I began our promenade. We quickly realized that I was drawing a bit too much attention in my get-up and we would need to look around before people noticed we were gone. Our arms entwined, we strolled past the main crowd into a hallway, casually chatting the weather. The detectives hand was on my waist, holding tightly, as though I might leave his side. It was different than they way he usually grabbed my arm to move me around or out of the way of harm.
We were looking for the bedroom of our hosts place, though, it did not seem there was one here. The penthouse was more of a party pad then a living space, which lends more to our profile of him. We continued to walk, and came across a study. His hand slid off my waist as he entered the room. I stood outside with my drink, while Sherlock took note of every little detail there. As he came out of the room though, I heard footprints coming round the corner. I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the bathroom next to the study. As I pushed him in, our eyes searched each other for the next move that we hadn’t initially planned. Though we were going as a date, it was never really a date. Until now.
Grabbing the lapels of the detectives suit, I slammed my lips on his, pushing us both backwards onto the sink. Knowing that he was more recognizable. I spun him around so that my back was to the sink and his was to the door. I jumped on to the sink, hiking up my dress a little higher, so that I could hook one leg around his waist. Instinctively, his right hand went to my leg to hold it up, and his left hand was in my hair.
His lips. I had seen them a million times before, studying his face as he rambled about a case. While he was just a colleague and possibly a friend, there were a few times when I would fall asleep thinking about those lips. And here he was, kissing me on a bathroom sink at a party, with enough force to make me melt into it. My hand went to his hair, as he began to trail kisses down my neck, hiding his face in me so that his reflection could not be seen. My other hand was gripping his waist, trying not to slip into the sink itself. My shoe was dangling on my toes as our bodies continued to crash. We heard the door click open, and my eyes opened to see the host and his assistant wide-eyed at us.
“Occupied,” I panted, smiling with a small wave. The two quickly shut the door, their footprints receding down the hallway. As soon as it was quiet, Sherlock froze on my collarbone, neither of us moving for a moment. I removed my hand from his hair, trying to pat it back into place. He stood up, and looked down at me. My dress had ridden up further, and my black lace panties were definitely on display. So was the red in both of our faces. I glanced over his shoulder to look at the door, realizing that there was a lock on it. Sherlock didn’t look back. He kept his eyes on me.
He knew there was a lock. He wanted the situation. He wanted to get caught.
“Lock it” I demanded.
He took a few steps back and turned the button, locking the door. His eyes didn’t leave me. I was still propped up against the sink, both hands propped up behind me. My legs had still been open, and as his eyes raked over my body looked, I grew self-conscious and went to close them. But he stepped towards me, grabbing my lower thigh. I hesitantly opened myself back up for him. His hand moved up my thigh, while the other wrapped around my waist, drawing himself closer to me. I placed a hand on his chest, running it up until it was at the nape of his neck, playing with his soft, black curls. I gently tugged him toward me, and our lips attached once more. This time, it was more more sensual. Taking the time to just allow ourselves to feel one another. As he pulled away, I let out a small gasp as I felt his growing bulge against my clothed core.
He seized the opportunity to kiss me again, letting his tongue wander and explore my mouth, pulling me as close as I could be to him. He pushed himself against me, causing a soft moan to escape, as I involuntarily rolled against him. He smirked against my mouth, moving once more against me. I hissed, feeling myself grow wetter.
Sherlock pulled me off the sink, wrapping both of my legs around him before pinning me against the wall. I was sitting just on top of his cock, and the friction was even more frustrating. I grinded down on him, kissing his neck, while leaving small bites in between. I needed more though. I unwrapped my legs, and he lowered me to the ground. When he placed me down, I kissed him with passion while I started to undo his trousers. He walked backwards to the sink, leaning up against it, as I palmed him through his suit. His low groan made me quiver as I licked a long stripe up his neck to his ear, wear I softly bit the lobe. This drove him crazy.
Pants still undone, he whipped us around so that I was against the sink again. He pulled my dress up enough so that he could hook his fingers in the lace of my panties and pull them down. He lifted me up on to the sink to get them off of me. He worked them past my heels, and placed both of his hands on my thighs, rubbing circles into them with his thumb. His forehead was resting on mine and we were both breathing in sync. I opened my legs for him, as he traced his way between my legs. The violinist in him was showing, and he was going to work out the tension and boredom he had been feeling all day. His fingers came in contact with me, running through my folds. He went from my clit down to my opening, just toying with me. I let out a whimper as he placed his middle finger just barely inside of me. He slowly pushed his digit inside of me, causing a guttural groan to escape. I bucked into his hand, desperate for more. He pumped it casually, as if he had done this to me a million times and knew how I would react. He then slipped a second finger into me, causing me to emit another moan.
“Please Sherlock. No games,” was all I could manage.
He began to pump his fingers in a come-hither motion, curling them to hit my g-spot. I gasped with every movement, keeping as quiet as I could. He was working his way to get me as wet as I could be for him. I was starting to feel the tension in my stomach build when he placed his thumb on my clit and made sharp movements with it. I cried out, gripping his shoulders for support. I was going to need him soon if he wanted to me to finish with his cock inside me. But he kept pumping and rubbing, watching as my face conveyed every emotion he had ever made me feel. My arm wrapped around his neck, as I could barely keep myself up anymore.
“Sherlock, you-you’re gonna..m-make me..c-cum…” I stutter out. I am rocking against his hand, chasing what I can’t stop. This only urges him more, as he quickens his pace. Without warning, I cum all over his finger with a cry. But he doesn’t stop. He continues to work my pussy, until I gasp out “I’m...I’m gonna squirt”. He steps out from between my legs, his fingers not stopping. As he steps to the side, he leans in to my ear and finally says something.
“Show me”.
It was all it took for my orgasm to elongate itself, as I squirted on his hand. I couldn’t stop and was shaking, barely able to keep myself up. I almost crumpled backwards before he caught me. Once again, he was between my legs, his hands on my neck and waist. I reached for his painfully hard cock, pulling it from his pants. I started stroking him, causing his eyes to flutter close. I was still coming down from what he had done with just his fingers, but I needed his dick inside me. I looked up at him, and said something that I knew would only boost his ego, and he would probably use against me later.
“Mr. Holmes, I need you inside me, now”.
His eyes shot open, as I looked back at him with lust-blown eyes. My hand was still wrapped around his cock, slowly pumping him. He and his god-complex were completely enamoured with my new take of teasing him. I lined his cock at my entrance, but not before teasing him through my folds. Just that little movement caused goosebumps to erupt on my skin. As I put his tip in my entrance, he searched my eyes once more for the consent he needed. I pushed myself onto him a little, letting him know he could take me. He leaned in, pushing his length all the way into me. I let out a loud gasp, wrapping my arm around his neck once more, my other hand on his back. I was still throbbing from my previous orgasm, and I knew he could feel my warm pulse inside me. He slowly pulled out, and then quickly sheathed himself inside me again. Our pelvises were against each other and his gently movements drove me crazy. I let out a cry of ecstasy, letting my head roll back, exposing my neck. He kissed it gently, and then, lifted me off the counter and back against the wall. All I could do was struggle to remain quiet as he began quick thrusts deep into me, relentlessly hitting my sweet spot. He was open mouthed against my neck, breathing erratically as he continued to hold me up.
“You feel, s-so g-good,” I moaned, urging him to continue. He loved it when I complimented him, he had always been that way. But to be inside me as I told him how much I loved his cock, it was heaven for him. The guttural sounds from his throat proved to me that he felt the same.
“Y/n, I’m not gonna last much longer” he said, as though it would deter me. As he began to remove himself, I grabbed his face to look at me.
“I want you to cum inside, Detective,” I whisper, wrapping my legs tighter around him to prove my point.
His eyes widened searching my face as I was in taking all of him, bouncing on his dick in a penthouse bathroom, loving everything he did. Seeing what he could do to me, looking into my eyes as I stifled my moans, he began to stutter inside of me. I was on the edge too, and when his hot rope of cum shooted inside of me, my own orgasm exploded, milking him of the rest of his cum.
When we had both stilled, frozen with him still inside me, we could hear the party still going and the noise of London below us. He pulled his softening cock from me and as he did, our cum dripped down my thigh. My legs were incredibly weak, as he continued to hold me up. I reached for a hand towel to clean me up, but he beat me to it, wiping up and between my legs, careful not to cause pain from the sensitivity. He picked up my underwear that he had tossed on the ground somewhere, and helped me step back into it. I was still shaky if I bent my legs, but I knew he would hold me up. As we looked at each other, there was something new we both saw. Romance. The sexual chemistry that had been there was a response to the catalyst of romance.
Before we could discuss the aftermath of our actions though, there was a loud banging on the door. Smoothing out my dress just past the door, Sherlock opened it to find John, arms crossed, waiting outside.
“Are you shitting me Sherlock? You look like you just took a hit of something. Did you seriously lose Y/N at this party because you were trying to get hi…”
The door widened to reveal me, just behind Sherlock, makeup slightly down my fae, and both of our hair tousled. I smiled at John, knowing it wasn’t what he had expected. His jaw dropped, “Tha..you were,,,um...has this been long or...?” Dr. Watson stuttered.
“No John, that was the first time and it won’t be the last” he said, grabbing my arm and pulling me past him.
“Don’t be too jealous John,” I said with a wink.
John didn’t know what to say except, “Are we done here?”
Sherlock and I walked arm in arm down the hallway, casting back a look at John as if to say “What do you think?”
