so so interesting which kh characters believe in fate and which don’t. so interesting that nearly all of khux is person after person saying ‘ok but there’s gotta be a way out of fate right like There’s a way out?’ and there is not even a little bit. so interesting that xehanort believes so much in fate above all else that he’ll travel back in time to be the catalyst for the worst parts of his own life. so so interesting kairi in melmem telling xehanort that he’s the one that ruined her fate. Man.

Sometimes I think about the end of Padawan Lost arc and I'll remind myself that Anakin wasn't just apologizing to Ahsoka but to Shmi too. He couldn't save Ahsoka like he couldn't save Shmi. Even without the nightmares he must have been thinking, "It's happening again. It's happening again. IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN", because once more he's in a position where he has no power to save his loved one. At least in Shmi's case he knows where she is in theory, and felt something wrong. With Ahsoka, Anakin's completely in the dark from start to finish, he can't find her, can't feel her, all he knows is something bad DID happen but has to wait to hear something.

Even the end doesn't really provide any comfort because sure Ahsoka and the others were rescued, but it was out of pure luck Chewie's transmission worked. If the transmission hadn't gone through she and the other younglings were going to be brutally tortured, killed, and then turned into trophies. How do you hear any of that and not feel absolutely useless to the suffering of your charge? From Anakin's perspective, this must have been history repeating itself, but worse, because instead of being ignorant, he was powerless.

Ghost Host, Ghost House. I think a good number of people watched it and liked it but I wish even more people would watch it and also talk about it. This show dealt with grief in quite literally the perfect way for me and was airing right around the time I lost someone special to me so it was healing in a way. I think the story is so beautifully told.

🌄 your favorite scene of any BL show

One scene? One SCENE? From ANY show? There are so many good ones? But I'm going to choose something from not a BL. This scene from Oh No! Here Comes Trouble:

First of all, someone hug that boy. Second of all, this is one of the few scenes that has ever managed to make me cry. And I cry every time I watch it. It felt like Yiyong was speaking to me about dealing with my own trauma and guilt (good god I'm tearing up just thinking about this scene) and Yiyong definitely has wisdom beyond his years. Plus there is something in the way that he carries his trauma that feels familiar to me. He is grumpy all of the time, but he is the kindest soul. He had something so incredibly horrendous happen to him and all it did was make him kind. This is what empathy is. This is what it means to listen. This is what it means to be human. And Yiyong is in pain but uses that to help. Always to help. And I love him so much for it. Anyway...does anyone have chocolate for me now? I need it.

only just realised final boss in PV kingdom technically fits the criteria. this WAS her kingdom. Dark Enchantress and Pure Vanilla are a UNIT they are GOOD AND EVIL they are ambition and what it can be used for. Help! I'm writing a fic for a fandom I like but only know about the certain series and game I'm writing about as a casual 'I know this and that because I watched scenes and read the wiki but have never seen all of the episodes/never played with the game' and I've written nine pages of very thought provoking dialogue in the past two days so far that probably wouldn't slide well with the fandom because it contradicts many things in the established canon but I don't care because the cycle of nature doesn't have a good and evil side, Carl, the cycle of nature just cycles, don't blame nature when the people are the ones who use it for good or bad because they were never taught HOW to properly use it and how to deal with emotions in a HEALTHY way, and I abso-fucking-lutely LOVE writing this!!!!!! very random thought but i feel like a lot of adult anime fans would really enjoy more plots centered around adult life? like imagine being an anime fan as a kid/teenager bc you somehow felt connected. THEN also finding that same comfort in anime centered around adulthood which eventually you grew into. im sorry, but the “friendship and determination is all we need to defeat the opposition!” trope and anything akin is a little played out for me personally. (note, i said personally)

like i wish there were more Seinen creators. mappa and the jjk team did their big one and in just the little time the franchise has really existed fr. they gave awesome plot, relatable and/or provoking characters. and all genders approve. i love seeing one side of social media all hyped up about the most recent kill move and then you have those screaming on the other about willingly ripping off their clothes for the 2 second clip of a cursed presence.

and more specifically they did LITTLE but gave us everything with the fanservice. everyone was fully clothed, but they knew exactly how to animate certain movements, speech, drama, and action scene to where it was both appealing yet still exciting. no upshot panties, no cheap breasts pans that make you shift uncomfortably (like wtf.) no weird perverted underlying plot mechanism used as a lazy way to make barely legal characters fuck.

and more importantly, everyone’s a grown. ass. adult.

plus the characters were either really likable, relatable and kin-worthy even, but also thought inducing (and panty dampening). but i don’t know, im not gonna suck the jjk fandom’s dick any longer. i just say all this to say, jjk will just be one of those franchises for the books and any creator wanting to animate more Seinen or adult genres need to take a couple notes
