Human codes… but they’re not actually codes??
A small group of humans is discovered by some curious aliens. Both sides can assume that the other is sentient. The aliens are trying to translate the humans’ language to their own, and the humans are trying to learn the aliens’ language. But since humans are tricky, they’ve decided that they don’t want the aliens to know their language, so they can have secret conversations.
So they go a little crazy. With written words, they randomly use lowercase and capital letters, even using numbers and symbols, and use a lot of slang, occasionally using words incorrectly on purpose. They’ll jumble the words a bit so that only human brains can guess their meaning (that thing where if you use all the letters and put the proper letters at the beginning and end it’ll be comprehensible), and even use additional or unofficial languages (commonly known words like ‘hola’, ‘si’, ‘oui’, etc, and piglatin, in which you typically take the first letter or syllable of a word, place it at the end, and add ‘ay’ to the end).
As for spoken words, they will do a bit of the above, mashing languages and slang, perhaps mispronouncing a few things, and quoting memes, vines, movies, and even singing parts of songs to throw off the aliens. Perhaps they will say something with a somber meaning in a joyful way to throw off the meaning, or even just naturally (‘I wanna die!’ ‘Mood’), or vice versa.
Additionally, there would have to be a TON of body language. Maybe even sign language, should they know any. Gestures and expressions, eyebrow wiggles and poorly-hidden grins. Ah, the beauties of communication.

A small list of things I thought were fanon before I played Ace Attorney (and other misconceptions):
- Pess
- Trucy (like the entirety of Trucy’s existence. I thought she was a very popular fan child that everyone adopted into truth)
- Gregory Edgeworth dying in an elevator
- I thought Apollo and Athena were like twins or something
- I also thought that Trucy had the parrot named Polly bc often fics would have her call Apollo “Polly”
- Thinking Trucy was around age 7-8 when she was really supposed to be 16
- Phoenix eating glass/getting almost poisoned by his ex-girlfriend

Things Chase Devineaux did that weren’t that incompetent:
Located VILE HQ. By himself, in his apartment, with a ball/s of yarn. Just arrived a few days too late.
Chased Carmen’s speedboat through Venice. On foot. Caught up to her.
Just had his brain absolutely fucked riffled through. Saw Carmen and perceived her as a threat, and somehow had the presence of mind to pull out his pen and activate comms/homing beacon. Then immediately passed out for a week.

Rarer BG3 pairings* based on common narrative threads
* not (just) romantic pairings!
Astarion/Lae’zel: “you were made to be consumed”
Shadowheart/Wyll: duty vs. self
Wyll/Lae’zel: a warrior’s hands, a poet’s heart
Gale/Karlach: when loving someone brings you to the brink of destruction
Karlach/Lae’zel: set apart from my kin/a stranger even among family

I want to read more posts about the similarities between tom riddle/voldemort and harry…
I mean:
1-both dark haired and light eyes
2-both are carbon copies of their fathers
3- only parseltounges to walk hogwarts (except for Salazar)
4-half-bloods
5-orphans
6-grew up in environments they hated and saw hogwarts as their true home
7-phoenix feather wands
8-Harry has Voldemort’s soul in him, Voldemort has Harry’s blood
9-Tom riddle recruited his original group when he was 15/16, Harry did the same with recruiting ppl in his 5th year
10-had a streak of knowing how to get ppl to actually follow and listen to them (Harry’s awkwardness is only his inner thoughts not what ppl see and hear) they’re natural leaders
11-both their ‘followers’ were personally taught by them
12-could easily cast dark spells
And probably more that I forgot, but I find their similarities so intriguing 🤔

The Roblox Experience
Yuu but they’re from Roblox. Like, IMAGINE THE CHAOS??
Roblox! Yuu just a parkour pro - even thin gaps won't stop them. They can slip into any nook and cranny and jump onto the thinnest ledges. They're also fairly resistant, and can take a few hits before they die.
Oh yeah. They die. A lot. And explode into thousands of pieces (More like the main limbs lmao) It scares the shit out of everyone and Yuu can never stop laughing at them. They literally die like a cartoon character and people are still disturbed.
OOOO Imagine if they've bought many items from the catalogue? They constantly change their aesthetic nearly every week. Students like to bet whether they'll show up as a cyborg for no reason or if they dress up as Vil's fashion nightmare.
They really love doing the most simplest of things because they're just used to going through worlds where the only goal was to get the numbers up. They find the satisfaction of doing work just for their bank account to increase.

okay another thing about dune… the sound. obviously another beauty by zimmer and great overall sound design. but there’s something about the mix of the two here. in the first harkonnen harvester attack and again in the final battle the ornithopter gunfire is noticeably on beat and in step with the the music, or lack of music. and in the feyd and margot scene her ‘come. to. me.’ lays so purposefully and seductively over the music. just the care overall in the craft of the film is such a feat.

I love actors who are completely unhinged about their character’s ship. Doesn’t matter if it’s canon.

Alright, here’s the thing, as of the last post I just reblogged, my dad is in big trouble and could quite possibly die. I know I don’t post a lot of writing here, but I will show an example of my writing when I get this post out.
Fandoms I will write for: Ninjago, RWBY, Gen:lock, Venturiantale (if the character is lesser known please send me a video that they’re in, it’s been a long time since I watched any of them), World of Warcraft, others to be added once I remember them.
Rules: nothing nasty, basic rules, no pedophilia/incest. Im not super picky, just basic rules and anything I may have forgotten that applies under basic rules.
One-shots: 500-1500 words (5-10 dollars)
Multi-chapter: 1500+ (15 dollars base+ 5 dollars per chapter)
Other info:
-Please be specific in what you want, I swear I’m not mean!
-My schedule will allow me to do these, I will send you updates.
- I will also write ocs! Please give me a reference sheet (must be in one of the mentioned fandoms above)
The prices are set, they are only 5-10 dollars or 15+ 5 per chapter no matter the complexity, so don't worry about asking too much, any kind of money will help.

summer fevers for the win
feeling strangely warm but chalking it up to the steamy weather. but two hours later, they still feel hot and cold and flu-ish and their throat hurts too
blaming their scratchy nose and throat on the pollen - but that doesn’t explain their aching joints…
shivering in an overly air-conditioned theater or museum, the cold drafts raising goosebumps on their sweat-damp arms
OR getting caught in a summer rain and THEN spending time in the AC in soaked clothes and they shiver so badly that their friend gives them their outer layer and wraps them in a hug (cue fever realization)
did they get heat exhaustion? Nope, it’s just a fever
feeling chilled outdoors on a warm and breezy day, and the others know something’s wrong because they’re trying to curl up next to everyone
(maybe they settle for wrapping up in a picnic blanket)
when the caretaker comes home to a stuffy, too-warm apartment, and the sick one is curled up in a blanket on the couch, apologizing weakly for turning off the AC, but they were just so cold -
fever spikes overnight in a place without air conditioning, where the sick one just can’t cool down, so the caregiver has to run them a cool bath
camping with friends and huddling near the fire, trying to get warm as the smoke irritates their sore throat and their eyes
the whole gathered team is in shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, summer dresses - and then there’s the sick one shuddering in a sweatshirt, pajama pants, and a blanket
going for a swim when they’re not feeling well and getting chilled from the cold water
consequently, shivering in their towel and being unable to get warm. their friend lays a hand against their forehead and comments on how warm they feel…
when everyone else thinks it’s a pleasantly warm day to be outdoors, but they’re huddled in a jacket and begging to go back inside
it’s so hot and the caretaker is running out of ways to keep their fever down, so they settle for crowding the sick one with bags of frozen vegetables from the freezer
going outside to lay on a hot driveway or deck in the sun to warm their frozen bones (then falling asleep and getting a sunburn on top of it)
plying the sick one with cool drinks, holding a glass of cool water to their lips, pressing it against their fevered temple and hoping the condensation brings relief
cool, damp cloths against sweat-dappled brows (a classic)
