One Time Won’t Hurt (Alexia Putellas x Reader)
Tumblr media
warnings: ⚠️smut smut smut. like… loads of it⚠️
prompt: in which you and alexia try to convince each other that one time won’t hurt, but it doesn’t end up being one time.
a/n: this is so bad but i wanted to get something out for u guys
Bodies tangled, lips a mess, hands feeling, touching, exploring, hips grinding, loud moaning. And that was all before clothes even came off. "One time," you exhaled into her lips, pressing your foreheads together and letting your breath get mixed. "One time won’t hurt," she added, putting her hands on your ass and pushing you impossibly closer into her.
You audibly whimpered and then gasped as she started kissing your neck. Alexia moved aside the strap of your shirt and then your bra, kissing your shoulder.
You breathed out, digging your nails into her back and moaning into her ear. "Yeah. One time," your cried out.
Five hours earlier
Alexia, Mapi, Ingrid, Sandra, Patri, Keira and Lucy were sitting in your apparement, having wine, cheeses, charcuterie and other snacks. You were all talking, laughing and having fun. Only issue was your spanish wasn’t great and although you tried to concentrate and really understand what they were saying, you were mostly just exchanging lost looks with Keira.
Eventually, you got up and went into the kitchen to open another bottle of rosé. Keira followed suite.
"Jesus. I don’t know what they’re saying. I heard my name and they all looked at me and laughed and I did too but I do not know what they said," you sighed. "I mean we take spanish classes like three times a week and then in real life they talk so speedy it just-" you started ranting. "They said you were clumsy during training today," Keira said, popping open a bottle of champagne. "I was gonna open wine, and how did you get that?" you asked her, leaning against the counter and crossing your arms. "Okay so maybe i’m becoming able to pick up sentences here and there…" she said. "No. No, no, I can not be the only non spanish speaker on the team Kei. I’m cutting you off from spanish lessons!" you groaned, walking into the living room.
You spent the rest of the gathering zoned out on Alexia. She was sitting with her legs slighting open and her arms crossed and all you could think about was how beautiful she would look in that position minute her clothing.
At 11:00, people started to leave which you were silently grateful as you were tired and honestly feeling left out even though that wasn’t the intention of the girls whatsoever.
You had moved to spain six months ago and had been playing for Barca since the January transfer window. You loved the style of play here and almost everything about it, but you did feel like an outsider.
You bid goodbye to the girls and then let yourself fall on the couch. You sighed heavily, your sigh turning into a tremble as you felt tears come to your eyes. Moving away from england had been harder than you anticipated. You heard movement behind you and shot up to your feet. Alexia stood in the doorway of the washroom. "Sorry, oh, everyone’s gone," she said, looking around. You swiped at your cheeks and nodded. "Uhm, yeah. Sorry I completely forgot you were in there," you said. "It’s okay, I ended up getting a call from Ona so I was in there for a while," she said. "Are you okay y/n/n? You look-"
"Spain is hard," you answered, not wanting to draw out the conversation longer than necessary. "What do you mean?" she asked, sitting down next to you. "I mean that I don’t know what you guys are saying. I pretend I do but I really don’t. And I feel like I’m not good enough to play here," you sighed, putting your head in your hands and resting your elbows on your knees.
"Don’t think that. You are one of the most brilliant players i’ve ever seen. And as for spanish, ditch your tutor. I’ll teach you for free," she said, brushing her fingers through your hair.
And then your feelings of sadness were gone and all you felt was an extreme need for Alexia to be under you.
You straightened up and looked into her eyes. And then you stood up and walked into the kitchen. You poured yourself a glass of water and downed it. Alexia stood up and gently walked towards you. Her movements were careful, calm and composed. But the last thing you wanted was careful, calm, and composed. You wanted loud, harsh and possessive.
So that’s what you did. You spun around and almost charged towards her. She looked taken aback but also turned on. You placed your hands on her waist and backed her up into the wall with a loud thud. You moved your hands up and down her hips before squeezing her waist. "Is this okay? Because I don’t want soft and nice. And if that’s what you want tonight I don’t want to push you," you said, looking into her eyes.
"Do whatever you want with me," she moaned.
"Oh i’ll make it hurt," she whispered to you. And although her words made you want to scream of pleasure, you wanted to be in charge.
You lifted Alexia’s legs to wrap around your waist and carried her into the bedroom, attacking her lips and making sure to leave them bruised and swollen. You pushed your stomach against her pussy, wanting her to feel the temptation at her core before you gave her any kind of relief.
You dropped her on the bed and then towered over her. You took a pause to pull off the shirt you were wearing, never looking away from her. You looked straight into her eyes but she was staring at your and, your tits peaking through your bra and the way your arms looked so strong. A crack of thunder echoed outside and the brief thought of how Mapi and Ingrid, who had walked to your appartement, we’re probably stuck in the rain while you were standing over the most beautiful woman in the world.
You snapped out of your trance and looked at her hungrily. You un buttoned her shirt, wanting to be rough but knowing very well her shirt was silk and she would kill you if you broke it. Or at least that’s what you thought. "Fuck just rip it off. Rip it off y/n," she groaned. You did as she wanted, grabbing the shirt above the buttons you had undone and ripping it apart. She shrugged it off and you unbuttoned her pants and pulled them off. You then quickly abandoned your own pants and panties. You pulled off her own panties and then unclipped her bra and your own.
The sight of her was intoxicating. The shape of her breast, the little birth mark just under the left one. "You’re fucking hot," you growled at her. You were much more the kind of person to call girls beautiful but today was a different case. You had one night with her and you would make the most of it. Slowly, you placed yourself on your knees so that your core was over hers. You flattened your body on top of hers while supporting your upper body with your hands at her sides.
You started your attack on her neck by kissing it roughly, sucking it and then nipping at all her sensitive spots.
Alexia was a mess within seconds. Groaning at your touch and screaming when you would randomly collide your knee with her clit. Dripping all over her, you positioned yourself so that her left leg was wrapped around your waist and your pussies rubbed together. You slipped the slow stage and went right into grinding onto her. "Fuck, you’re so perfect," you moaned into her ear, feeling her nails digging into your back. "I thought you were going to be mean," she huffed, dragging her nails down your back. "Rough, not mean," you said to her.
With one last push onto her she came first, moaning your name and crying of pleasure.
You came soon after, your brain fuzzy, your body ecstatic. You didn’t want to push your luck with Alexia, so you let yourself fall beside her. "You okay?" you asked her, your bare chest heaving. "More than. Are you?" she asked. "So okay," you smiled. "I knew you were soft. You’ve always been soft," she said, turning on her side. "Maybe only for you," you giggled.
Needless to say, it didn’t happen just once.

Sully Family Trip To Animal Kingdom
Credit help from @neteyamsyawntu
Please do not repost my work on any other publishing site, I worked very hard on it with some help. You can repost here if you wish so that it reaches more people and if anyone wants to draw the Sully Family Trip, feel free but please tag me so I can see it! Also, I do not own the avatar franchise or characters, I just write and post them as a fan of the franchise. I really do hope you enjoy it as it is my first fiction and I feel very proud of myself for actually going through with a fiction instead of just writing it down and forgetting about it completely! Enjoy and happy reading!
It was their first trip to Earth and Jake decided to take his family to Walt Disney World for their family vacation. They were all wearing matching shirts that say "Sullys Stick Together" on the front, and on the back; their names and a number representing their age. Jake already planned to visit Animal Kingdom first as he heard they have an area similar to their home on Pandora.
After they entered into Animal Kingdom; everyone's jaw dropped at the sight of all the trees and animals within the park. But Tuk was the most excited out of all the Sully children. She was pulling Jake to a churro stand and pointed excitedly and spoke with vigor and enthusiasm. "Daddy, Daddy! Can I have a churro please?" Jake looked back at Neytiri, who just nodded in agreement so she wouldn't have to hear her daughter cry that she didn't get one. "Alright baby girl, we can share one." She squealed in delight as she munched on the treat. Kiri, Lo'ak, and Neteyam smiled at their little sister and suggested they ride Flight Of Passage together as a family. "It's just like the real thing back at home sir." Lo'ak was the one who made the suggestion as he was climbing on top of a garbage can that was nearby; a cast member telling him it's not for climbing. Neteyam just shook his head as he laughed. "My baby bro, ever the spider monkey.", he gave Lo'ak a noogie. Kiri just rolled her eyes at their antics, "Quit fooling around and let's go. I want to ride Na'Vi River Journey."
As they waited in line for Flight Of Passage; Lo'ak kept climbing up on the displays and getting into trouble with the cast members. "Lo'ak, stop being so careless. This is not our home." Neytiri scolded him and made to pluck his eyes out. "I pray to the great other that I do not pluck the eyes of my youngest son!" Tuk was just excited to ride an ikran; though she's too young for a real one, this is enough for her.
"That was so much fun daddy!" Tuk loved Flight Of Passage. Neteyam held her on his hip as they headed to Na'Vi River Journey. "It definitely was fun. Especially seeing Payakan jump out of the water." Kiri smacked him upside the head, "That wasn't Payakan you Skxawng!" Neytiri saw this, "Hey! Don't slap your brother." Lo'ak just chuckled silently.
Their experience the Na'Vi River Journey was even more exciting for the family. "Ma Jake, I really enjoyed that one the best! Especially the Tsa'hik at the end." She hugged him tightly and gave him a kiss. Jake just smiled, knowing that his wife had an unforgettable experience. "I'm glad you had fun baby. Hey, where's Kiri?" He looked at the places nearby but couldn't find her. "Lo'ak, those vines are not for climbing!" He shouted at his youngest son who also had Tuk on his back.
Meanwhile Kiri was sat upon a rock with Neteyam by her side admiring the floating mountains. "I wonder how they get them to float like the ones back home." She was definitely fascinated by them. Neteyam just smiles and watches on in silence.
"Hey Neytiri! I found them!" Jake approached the two awestruck teens and pulled them out of their trance with a hug. "Your father and I were wondering where you went; now we know. Neytiri smiled and took a brief look at the mountains. "Come, we're all tired and need some rest." So the Sully Family left the park, with Tuk fast asleep in her brothers arms. They definitely had quite the adventure, and they couldn't wait to tell everyone back home.

Hi. Just read the new chapter and it was absolutely amazing. KSFM got me into reading some of ur other fic and a name I keep seeing is Sandy..one of James's ex gfs. Im really curious to know about her. I know shes irrevalant to the story and is just brought up mostly as a talking point but she just makes me curious😋. Can u share any hcs or characterisations u have of her? Reading from ur fics, i gathered she is the gossipy type tho😏👀
Thank you!! I'm so happy you liked the chapter!
I love this question!! That's very observant of you! Fair warning that this answer is probably going to be very long because I love talking about OCs😅
So for backstory, I had the idea a while ago that I wanted to write my own take on a multi book series about the Marauders and Lily's time at Hogwarts. (Which still might happen eventually, but not until I've done way more planning) So I made a spreadsheet with lists of the students in all four houses every year that the Marauders were at school, so I'd have a database of sorts when writing. (I had a lot of free time on my hands during covid lockdown lmao)
Sandra "Sandy" Keaton is one of the characters I drew from that database, and I have used that name in passing now twice!
She is one of the other Gryffindors in the Marauders' year, which means she shares a dormitory with Lily for seven years, but I don't envision them ever being friends.
She is absolutely a gossipy type character, someone who would get along well with Bertha Jorkins, and in my head she looks kind of like Regina George. She's charismatic, outgoing, and opinionated (James has a bit of a type, let's say), and she gets written off by a lot of people as being "shallow" because of her stereotypically feminine interests (she loves dressing up, hair and makeup is always perfect, she devours every copy of Witch Weekly, and she loves a good romance novel.)
She has a bit of a vindictive streak, and possibly some mean girl tendencies, so she's frequently involved in some sort of drama. But she's not one-dimensional. She's a half-blood who's insecure about her place in the wizarding world, and she's been raised to seek out status as a means of survival. She seeks validation in the approval of others, which unfortunately leads her to make poor choices...like downplaying her intelligence to appeal to boys, and lashing out harshly at others who make her feel insecure.
She has a rich internal life that a lot of her classmates don't get to see. She cares very deeply about politics and worries about the war, though she tries to hide it. She's artistic and loves to draw, though she's not confident enough in it to share it with people. And she's got a huge soft spot for animals, especially her grumpy little cat. She has a little sister named Susie who she's fiercely defensive of. And she'll go to war with anyone who hurts her best friend, Zoe Boot.
She and James have a brief, ill-fated relationship. They never become close friends afterwards, but once they both mature a little, there's mutual respect.
That's Sandy!
(This was a lot lol. But thanks for the question! This was fun!)

September books, though at this point these posts are purely just for me
The bad:
Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by TS Eliot - shocking amount of racial slurs for a children's book
Sovietistan by Erika Fatland - technically didn't finish this one. It's a shame because it was SO interesting and I enjoyed reading about Central Asia bc I know nothing, but Fatland is so rude about every single local she comes into contact with. Constant descriptions of bad teeth, people's weight, how nasty the food was, and how backwards the attitudes were. I get it's kind of a strange/unique region but it was gross to me that her narration, apart from when she discussed history of the region, was very much "wow look how weird and exotic these people are! I'm so glad I live in Norway where it's CLEAN and people aren't WEIRD." Only made it through the Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan chapters which is a shame bc this could've been great if she was just not an asshole!!!!
The okay:
Uncharted by Alli Temple - was truly expecting nothing from this Kindle Unlimited pirate adventure-romance series with a stock image cover but it was actually not bad? Fun, pulp-y plot and I finished it in about 5 hours
Cleat Cute by Meryl Wilsner - a serviceable romcom about two soccer players who fall in love. I read Wilsner's other books (one was fine and one I hated) so I feel like saying this is my favorite isn't saying much, but it was cute.
The Lost Spells by Robert MacFarlane - the draw here isn't so much the poems (but they're fine!), it's the beautiful watercolors
The good/great:
spellbook for the sabbath queen by Elisheva Fox - a really beautiful but sparse poetry collection that has stuff about identity and environment and difficult familial relationships and sexuality and Judaism. This is her first collection and it definitely feels like one, but not in a bad way. I'll def keep an eye out for more of her stuff
Ararat by Christopher Golden - a recommendation from a friend and it had some GNARLY kills but was another book that was very much My Shit. Also had a great ending
American Journal: Fifty Poems For Our Time, edited by Tracy K. Smith - a really great poetry collection especially if you're just getting into poetry and are looking for new poets. There's enough variety that there's something for everyone in there!
When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities by Chen Chen - these poems were so fucking weird that i was immediately in love. Idk what else to say other than "strange and lovely"
Rouge by Mona Awad - speaking of strange! If you're into skincare this is especially fun, I'm glad I got a facial BEFORE reading this because otherwise I would have been mildly unsettled. I love that thing Awad does when the character starts to lose it and the narration goes off the rails
Bestiary by Donika Kelly - I mean this in the best possible way, what the FUCK. "You grow. You are large./You are a 19th century poem." but also "I have never known a field as wild/as your heart." Hey Donika what if I throw up everywhere
He Who Drowned the World by Shelley Parker-Chan - some great characters and also a couple of plot points that were so upsetting i started laughing and then had to put the book down for the night because it was the most tragic possible thing to happen. (almost) every single character in this book is a total asshole and I love them all!!!!!!!! Maybe not technically "great" but one of those books that felt like it was written just for me.
The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros - an all time favorite I reread because I was sad. Sandra Cisneros is one of those writers that makes me feel incredibly seen and I was having a bad day so I read this in one sitting and it helped a little

This is an au of what could have happened if Chucky decided to transfer his soul into Stan’s body at the end of Seed. It’s really just an excuse for me to write more of Chucky interacting with his kids, and to see what he’d get up to as a human. Glen has he/him pronouns for the purpose of this fic, and Glenda has she/her pronouns. I know they’re both non-binary in the series, but at this point in their lives, these were their pronouns, so they’re what I’m going to use, but only for fics about their childhood.
————————————————————————
Even after five years, it was still amazing to Chucky that he got to wake up in a human body every day. To feel that ache in the bones before his morning stretch, to touch fingernails with the tip of his thumb when he clenched his fists. To bleed, and cry, and sweat, without the lurking sense of wrongness that came with the doll body.
He loved that Tiff’s new body was a celebrity, so he could just ride the coattails of her success and fly under the radar. He’d always loved art, but it was hard to draw or paint with any fine detail as a doll, so he took advantage of his human hands and submitted some of his work to galleries. His wife was Jennifer Tilly, so he got in through nepotism, though (and he always took the chance to brag about this) the curators nearly let him display his work before they knew that little fact.
He didn’t even have to change anything about himself, because artists are often eccentric, so if he did anything remotely ‘odd’ in public, Tiff (bless her) would excuse him and say it was simply his ‘artistic temperament’.
But the best part about his new life was probably the twins. He’d never admit it, but when he first held his babies as a human, he cried tears of joy, because they were just so tiny and fragile, and he’d made them. They were great kids too.
Glen was a shy kid, but he was so smart, and funny and kind when you could get him to open up. He was a Mama’s boy more than anything, but he still loved his dad (though it took a while for him to get over what had happened when he was a doll).
Glenda was so much like Chucky that it brought on waves of nostalgia whenever he looked at her. She was a little troublemaker, just like he was at that age. If Chucky was around, Glenda could get away with literal murder. She was definitely a Daddy’s girl. In fact, any time her behaviour was brought up in conversation with Chucky, he’d roll his eyes at whoever had complained and say:
“My children are perfect angels, you’re clearly thinking of a different kid.”
That was pretty much what he was doing right now, as Nanny number 7 of this year (Stacy, perhaps?) complained about Glenda. They were nearly on the same page when she admitted that Glen was an angel, because he was, but her accusations against his little Glenda were way out of order.
And the audacity for her to try and quit on their birthday, it was so rude. Tiffany was in the garden entertaining some of the kids, she wouldn’t be in for a while. She would scream at him if she knew what he was about to do. She had been adamant about putting their favourite hobby ‘behind them’. He’d only agreed for the sake of his children, they deserved to have a stable life.
But he’d never taken criticism well, or criticism about those he loved, and he loved his children so much. So Sandra (or whatever her name was) had to go. He’d never killed someone with the doll before, it was fun. But there was the strangest thing by the window. He’d thought he was alone, but Chucky swore he saw a flash of red curly hair duck down outside…
————————————————————————
Glen was by himself near the fence. None of these kids were really his friends, he mostly kept to himself at school. But Glenda was very popular because she took advantage of her parents being celebrities. To tell the truth, Glen would have been very happy to just stay in that corner for the whole party, but that’s when his Dad spotted him and began to walk up to him. Chucky knelt down in front of Glen, and with a grin, said:
“Hey Birthday Boy, don’t you wanna join the party? I’m pretty sure there’s a couple of presents left with your name on ‘em.”
Well, Glen wasn’t going to turn down presents, now, was he? He happily took his Dad’s hand and skipped over to his Mom and sister who were still looking at that doll his Mom loved so much. When his mother spotted him, she beamed and beckoned them both over.
“Hey sweetie, do you wanna open the final present?”
Wordlessly, Glen took the wrapped package from his mother and opened it with excitement. His Dad helped him when he couldn’t undo the ribbon (he wasn’t good at knots yet). But when the present was fully unwrapped, the family fell silent.
Inside the wrapping was a Good Guy doll.
————————————————————————
It took a while to explain away the full on meltdown Chucky had when he saw that doll. Glen had cried, which only made his anger worsen because whoever had done this had now upset his child, and he couldn’t have that.
But when all the guests had left, it was just about time to put the twins to bed. It was Chucky’s turn because Tiffany was in charge of cleanup. When she saw that body, she’d probably be mad at him, so he decided to linger as long as possible in his kids’ bedroom.
Glen was fast asleep the second his head hit the pillow. Kid slept like a log, unlike his sister, who was a much lighter sleeper, just like her parents.
Chucky was just about to finish tucking Glenda in when she tugged on his hand, a curious look on her face. Oh no. Chucky knew he was about to have a long talk with her, the kind of long talk he dreaded having. She looked so serious, this was bound to be another “where do babies come from?” high pressure question. When she spoke, his face paled immediately. Almost innocently, Glenda asked:
“Daddy, why did you kill Nanny Sylvia?”
He knew that he’d spotted a flash of red hair at the window. How would he get out of this? He wasn’t going to promote murder to his impressionable young daughter, but he didn’t regret his actions either. He could say it was self-defence, but he had to make sure that she knew that if she told anyone, they could all get in a lot of trouble. He sat down on the tiny bed and pulled Glenda onto his lap. With one hand holding her steady on his knee and the other stroking through her curly hair, he made sure she was paying attention before he spoke.
“Well baby doll, I hurt her by accident. She surprised me, y’see, and I grabbed the closest thing to hand and hit her real hard in the head. It was only meant to be a little bump, but she fell, and got really hurt. I feel so bad about it, she was a very nice lady, wasn’t she?”
Glenda shook her head.
“She said I was a devil child. What’s a devil?”
Even though she was dead, the woman just kept giving Chucky more and more reasons why she deserved to die.
“You aren’t a devil, baby, she was wrong when she said that. Obviously you and Glen are the greatest kids in the whole world, the whole universe even. But like I was saying, I hurt her by accident. Please don’t tell any of your friends or Glen about this, or any adults, because they won’t see it as an accident, and your Mommy and I might have to go away for a while. You’d be sent to a Children’s Home and we wouldn’t see you again. And I don’t want that to happen. But remember, if you ever have to hurt someone, only do it if it’s in self-defence, got it?”
Glenda grinned toothily and responded.
“Got it, hurt someone if they’re mean to you, cause they’ll deserve it. And don’t tell the cops cause no one likes a snitch.”
Eh, that wasn’t quite the lesson he’d wanted to teach, but what the hell? She was only five. There was plenty of time to change her mindset about the whole murder thing.

This blog is going to reach 5k followers soon! YAAAY 🎉🎉🎉 As a way to thank you, I'm gonna write a FILTHY threesome smut. Please choose one from these four scenarios below:
SCENARIO #1
Pairing: Yandere Knight Eren x Reader x Manipulative King Armin
This one is gonna be super rough and filthy, like I'm talking almost Game of Thrones level of disturbing. Imagine the three of them having sex in the throne room. Armin is wearing his majestic king outfit, princess reader in her beautiful gown, eren is wearing these clothes:
Tumblr media
and they're having sex with king armin fucking her mouth while eren takes her from behind. Imagine Eren curling his fingers around armin's throat, smirking at him as he says, "With all due respect, your highness, your wife prefers to be fucked like this." and armin staring back at him with his chin tilted up high, answering "Who do you think you are? You're just a knight. I am your king." it's basically just them going at each other's throat while they're fucking her, I'm so sorry 💀
SCENARIO #2
Pairing: Soft Knight Eren x Reader x Soft Prince Armin
so if the throne sex isn't your cup of tea (weak LMAOOOO) then you can choose this scenario where the two boys are trying to prove who can love her harder and who can make love to her better. there would be a lot of corny romantic lines being thrown here and there as they have sex
"Princess, look at me," Eren says, holding onto her as Armin slowly thrusts his length inside her from behind. "Do you love me? I need to hear you say you love me, please. I can't stand seeing you with another man like this."
"Princess," Armin chimes in, peppering soft kisses along her spine, "Focus on me. I can make you feel good too. I'll make you feel like you're the most beautiful woman in the world."
probably will end up with one of them crying and that's not gonna be princess LMAOOO
SCENARIO #3
Pairing: Rockstar Eren x Reader x Model Armin
A.K.A THE TRUE ENDING OF THE LAST SONG imagine rockstar eren and model armin all dressed up nicely in black suits. they're having sex in armin's house, with yn lying on top of his grand piano. two boys just letting their hands roam her body up and down, getting competitive with each other. eren is super possessive and dominant, while armin gets a bit too desperate.
imagine rockstar eren sitting on a chair, smoking a cigarette as he watches his wife resting her palms on his knees, trying to prop herself up as Armin fucks her from behind. he looks bored, unimpressed, "Come on, Armin, you can do better than that. Harder," he tells the other man, even when his wife is already whimpering from how good and how fast Armin is fucking her.
when Armin is finished, Eren grabs him by the neck and forces him to sit on the same chair. he then pushes his wife down, making her sit on Armin's lap as Eren spreads her leg wide apart. "Hold her for me." armin obeys.
"Now, watch," Eren says, taking one last draw from his cigarette before he flicks it away, "I'm gonna teach you how to fuck her cunt." smirking at you, he asks, "you're ready for daddy, baby girl?"
SCENARIO #4
Pairing: Rockstar Eren x Reader X POKOPIKU
yep, you read that right. this is going to be a foursome where rockstar eren and yn get to have sex with her besties porco and pieck. imagine pieck and yn making out while the boys watch with their jaws hanging low. yn turning her head toward them, smirking as she says, "Your turn now, boys."
Pieck just shoving porco's head toward eren so they can make out. Imagine pieck making fun of eren as she rides his dick, probably saying something like, "I've always thought you look cute. I would love to see how that face of yours would look when I peg you, baby." and Eren is just 💀💀💀 this scenario is definitely gonna be a lot funnier than the others.
TAKE THE POLL HERE!
Now, these scenarios are only going to happen in her dream, so they don't have any connection with the real story. It's really just me trying to find an excuse to write another filthy threesome I'm sorry 💀💀💀
Shout out to my best girl Sandra @the-princess-button for sharing her ideas with me. I know for sure she's gonna vote for yandere eren LMAO

Note
To me it's an acceleration of themes that were slowly explored over 3 seasons but now we're seeing the full impact you know? Like Sandra said it's the tension & anticipation that's interesting in stories rather than romance itself, and that was always the driving force of the show. I think drawing it out will make the release that much sweeter. You can see how deeply affected Eve is this season behind her mask with the shaky breaths and everything, she's so in love with villanelle she's about to explode and that's part of the fun of it
We have been building to this for THREE SEASONS. This has been the slow burn to end all slow burns. We are so starved for one ounce of affection between these two that their pinkies touch and we about pass out as a result. Rehashing the general theme of the past 3 seasons accelerates nothing. Acceleration implies action and this is just more of the same build-up and slow burn that I've sat through for 28 episodes now
If shows aren't able to show romance without it being interesting, that reflects their ability (or lack there of) to write an interesting story because romance is interesting af. Romance is everything. Wars have been launched over romance. If this wasn't the last season or if we had more episodes, maybe I wouldn't be so frustrated. But there are 4 episodes left and A LOT of loose ends to tie up. Realistically, how much "release" are we really going to get at this point? Especially when we already know that V walks away from Eve when she tries to make amends
Tension and anticipation is interesting up to a point, but then it completely loses your interest if there is no payoff. Think about real life relationships. We all get caught up a bit in the "chase" and the "wooing", but after a while that gets old. If the other person doesn't return those affections, you get tired of it and are ready to move on.
Killing Eve has failed to return my affections, so I am tired of it and ready to move on. I'm glad if this is making other people happy, but I am not having fun

Headcannon: Sandra is a very laid back artist who always wants to have fun. She used to live in an apartment in her early 20s and it was ALWAYS a mess. Paint stains on the walls, paper all over the floor, clay on her hands and clothes, she constantly lived in an art mess. She loved music and would go to clubs and cafes almost every night where she eventually met her future husband, Carl.
Marrying into a family with an alien background might’ve been the craziest, worst, and best decision of Sandras life. Sandra lives for adventure(she’s mellowed out a bit from her eccentric and wild ways but the thrill is still there) and the Tennyson family is DEFINITELY no stranger to that BUT the only problem is that her only child, her son, her baby is at the center of it all. When your child’s life is at stake constantly it’s not really fun.
Her love of art and drawing was passed onto Ben who loves drawing and sketching(I think it was a confirmed fact in Destroy All Aliens).

the proposal pt.1
who?: jeonghan x (f)reader
word count: 1495
genre/s: fluff and a bit of fun
warnings: none!
synopsis: jeonghan has never been confused on how you feel about marriage - now it’s just a matter of how to do it.
a/n: just a fun diddy bc i love this sleepy man - no, not based off that movie with sandra bullock
note: bold italics = korean
Tumblr media
You confuse him endlessly. More so than the likes of his cryptic self or round-about Jihoon. How you say action is your favourite genre but he catches you watching the same romance movie at least once every few weeks, singing and crying at the same parts. How your wardrobe is full of dark hoodies and you wear the same ripped jeans, but your nails are always sparkly and your draws have pastel blouses. You'll say you don't need romantic gestures, but almost always squeal when he drops flowers by your office. Or the fact you say you're bad at them but always pull the best tear-jerkers on him. Like the time you brought him dinner to the practice room - vase of flowers and all - at midnight while keeping him company, even though he knew you had a client presentation the next day. The comeback prep was gruelling, so yeah, he got a bit misty-eyed.
At least one thing he's not confused with is your opinion of marriage. Despite this comfort, even though you've been together for almost four years, you've never once brought up marriage, even casually. You cried though, when Mingyu and Chaewon got engaged at their anniversary party last year. Babbled wetly into his shoulder about how sweet love was, meant to be and the like - for the record, you were completely sober. Sobbed even longer as one of Chaewon's bridesmaids that Jeonghan had to collect you from the altar after they left the venue. And he's seen you look at apartments to share, linger on pinterest on a Saturday afternoon.
He wants it just as bad as you, but no idea how to broach it. You’ve talked about how you want a rescue cat when you move in together as well as the style of decor. Even said in passing at a park how you hope that your kids have his smile because it’s, “the most beautiful thing I get to see every day.” Jeonghan doesn’t want to overwhelm you with a grand public proposal, but he doesn’t know how to wow you like you do for him all the time. Jeonghan’s gotta be honest - he wants the whole shebang. Smiles, tears, blubbering; the lot.
He also realises that he wants it recorded for your mum when he calls her for her blessing. You moved a whole hemisphere away a year before the two of you met, to pursue a job in the entertainment industry. Something interesting and left of field found you in Korea working in concepts and marketing. So phone and video calls are a regular for the two of you. He’s also tried really hard over the years to improve his English, to bridge the gap with your family. Jeonghan thinks your mother is amazing, kind and funny - the kind of level head he expected to bring such a wonderful person like you into the world.
He’s English is nowhere near good enough for what he wants to say, so he asks for a familiar face to help out. Joshua is on the video call too, made in Shua’s clean dorm. Your mother looks a little surprised to not see you there. You both have the same texture of hair, but not much else.
“Jeonghan! How are you!” She waves.
He smiles at her enthusiasm. “Good thank you. How are you?”
“I’m really good, sweetheart. Bit of a weird time to call - everything okay? Where’s y/n?”
He sees her search the screen for her daughter, even so much as leaning side to side to try and see outside the frame. Some of her speech is still lost on him, so he looks to Joshua in question. He leans over to his ear.
“She’s wondering if everything is okay for you to be calling at this time.”
Jeonghan raises his brows and nods in understanding. Her expression changes as well, the lines around her eyes softening with the fading concern.
“It is okay. Y/N is at work. I...I have a question to ask you. Just us. It’s very important.” He twists his ring anxiously in his lap.
“Of course, what is it?”
Joshua can see the tension rising in Jeonghan’s shoulders, how quiet and hesitant he gets at the elder woman’s agreement. The way he looks at the woman, staring persistently. The American born member leans over with a smile.
“Hi y/n’s mum. It’s a bit of a speech, so I’ll be helping Jeonghan translate, okay?” He looks to his friend, nodding gently. “Jeonghan? Tell her.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever met a person like y/n... She’s kind and exciting and interesting and she makes me really happy. I hope I do the same for her. I can’t imagine my life now if she weren’t in it. I don’t want to lose all that. I would like your blessing in asking her to marry me.” Jeonghan says as clear as he can, without too much of his nerves or feelings getting in the way - usually an easy feat for him.
Joshua translates along the way and he picks up words here and there - happy and your name, of course. But he’s not watching his fellow member speak for once, instead analysing his potential mother-in-law’s reaction. He starts to jiggle his knee off the bed as he sees your mother’s expression roll from from a quirked brow to a warm smile, then watching her eyes go glassy and her chin wobble through said smile. Her hands go over her mouth once Joshua finishes and out of shot, his hand lies flat over Jeonghan’s on his sheets in a sign of comfort.
“I...I...yes. I would love to have you as part of the family officially. Of course you have my blessing.” Your mother pulls her hands away to murmur.
She fumbles to the side for tissues and Jeonghan looks to Joshua in shock. He heard a yes, but… Joshua is meanwhile beaming in return, laughing at his member’s expense.
“She would love to have you as part of the family. You have her blessing.”
Jeonghan grins, his chest so full and tense he feels like he might burst. Instead, he laughs, grasping shua’s shoulders to shake them
“Thank you! Thank you so much!”
She shakes her head. “Of course I would say yes. You don’t know how much she talks about you when you aren’t there - how much she raved about you when the two of you first met. It was like the stories she used to make up as a little girl, come to life. I wish I was there to see her face when you ask.”
Jisoo translates and he laughs even more, elated being an understatement.
It took a little searching and contemplating on what kind of ring to get you. Nothing too big, because you used your hands for everything. Not gold, because you didn’t like the way it looked against your skin. He settles on loopholing the gold for white gold, something silver but reflective and a singular round diamond - only two carats or else you’d throw a fit at the mystery price. He gets a thin chain as well of the same material, knowing you were more likely to wear it round your neck than on your finger for fear of losing it. Seungkwan of all people was the one to help with the final decision, insisting on its chic simplicity and pretty glow.
Jeonghan decides on a little party to pop the question. Or as little as you can get with thirteen members and their partners as well as your friends and their plus ones. Under a guise of missing your friends and a celebration of your success with a client, he even whines that he’ll organise the food and drink. Everyone invited is in on it, of course, which heightens the stakes.
The box sits hot in his pocket or bag all week. All the members know about the little surprise coming up dance between trading their resident trickster or offering a helping hand. Seungkwan has pulled up as quite the miracle worker, his entertainment ties conjuring up a caterer on such short notice and Mingyu slipping the business card of the decorator of his engagement party - it’s a little worn from being worried in Seungcheol’s initial finding but that just adds to the charm. Like a group heirloom to be passed around.
Despite the client win, you’re still snowed under with new paperwork and contracts, so you’re none the wiser to the nerves brewing in your boyfriend which proves to be the perfect mix come the weekend.
He lets you sleep in even later than the two of you usually do, and encourages you to take up that nail salon voucher you’ve been humming and harring about - you deserve a treat, he whines. And when you shut the door gently, Jeonghan breathes a sigh of relief and an inhale of stress - now the fun really begins.

A Conversation with Patty McCormack on Growing Up on Screen By Kim Luperi
Tumblr media
Not many child stars go on to enjoy long, successful careers in show business – and fewer still have earned a prestigious Academy Award nomination before they turned 18. Patty McCormack has achieved both. The actress, who made her first film appearance in 1951 and went on to star in THE BAD SEED (’56, for which she received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress as the murderous Rhoda at age 11); THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN (’60) and THE YOUNG RUNAWAYS (’68), continues to work in Hollywood and shows no indication of slowing down.
I had the pleasure of speaking with McCormack recently about some of these titles and more, including the delightful film KATHY O’ ('58) in which she plays a famous child star – an apt springboard for a discussion about growing up on screen and transitioning into more mature roles over her incredibly long, accomplished career.
(This interview has been edited for length and clarity.)
I was watching KATHY O’ last night, and I really enjoyed it. In that movie they talk about your blonde pigtail braids as a trademark, and I realized it kind of was; you had that hairstyle in THE BAD SEED and ALL MINE TO GIVE (’57), too. Do you know how that style came about, or was it something you did that caught on?
Patty McCormack: It seems to be! I believe I even had them early on in Mama, which was an old live TV show that was a weekly event. I don't know how that [trademark] happened. I think it just happened because of THE BAD SEED – I think it was the hairdo that I went in with or they just decided on. When you see the original artwork on William March’s book, there’s a very long face drawing of Rhoda, his Rhoda, and there were braids in it. I don't know if they were looped or what, but that could have been it – or I honestly don't remember if it was chosen by my mom because it was easy, but it stuck!
I loved KATHY O’ because I got to live the dream. I loved the notion of them cutting my hair off – except it was a wig that they cut. After a while it felt like I didn't want to look like an older person with braids – you have to get rid of them eventually. As soon as I could, I wanted hair that was like, in that era, a page boy or something like that, where it landed on your shoulder. But I carried that long hair for a long time. And then you know how you revert back to certain hairdos years later?
They come back in style.
PM: Yes, they come back, but now I have shortish hair, and I'm growing it one length. So I got over the braids – just in the nick of time!
Tumblr media
Circling back to Rhoda, you originated the role on Broadway before the film version, so you obviously had a lot of practice and familiarity with the part before you took it to the screen. Since she's such a chilling character, how did you get into that mindset at age nine, especially when you had to play the part multiple times a week?
PM: I always go back to the source, and the source was the director, Reginald Denham. He was so good with directing me. He made it fun, because I learned when I'd get an audience reaction on a face I’d make or something, I'd look forward to doing that again – you know, that kind of joy.
He made it so clear and simple, and his point of view was that Rhoda was always right. I know I've said this before, but it's the truth. No matter what anybody says, Rhoda is correct, and anything she wants, she feels entitled to – not using that word ‘entitled’ – but I really wasn't thinking of myself as a bad person, or especially not a murderer. I just thought it was their fault, which is classic, I guess. I had to kill him [the little boy] because he was so mean. So I think that was how I learned to be that character. I was aware of the murders – people were dead because of me, that I knew – but somehow it wasn't disturbing to my mind. If you take a look at it knowing that, you see it. I'm not coming from some sort of evil place, I don't think.
You were nominated for an Oscar for THE BAD SEED, which is amazing; it's a true testament to your talents, of course, but it’s also such a big accolade to have at such a young age. Do you remember there being any pressure on you for your next role?
PM: Well, the role was so odd for a kid to be so noticed, in that era anyway. I can't think of any jobs I didn't get after that that somebody else got, you know? What happened, though, was that each year I grew, and so I just experienced the typical kid actor dilemma which is going from category to category and establishing yourself in that category and learning how to be in that category. I did do something on Playhouse 90 – I did a few PLAYHOUSE 90s back then – and I did a lot of television –
You played Helen Keller [in the original 1957 Playhouse 90 teleplay “The Miracle Worker”].
PM: That's what I was going to say! That was after THE BAD SEED. But mostly, as far as movies went, there was KATHY O’ and a few here and there and at different levels of development. I was always aware that it had been a while since I worked, that I felt, but I didn't think business, like “What will I follow up that with?” I didn't have that kind of mentality, and I really don't think my mother did either, so it just sort of went the way it went.
As you mentioned too, you were still growing up. So, you’re a child, then a teenager, then young adult. You probably wouldn’t be thinking about the business part of it.
PM: No, it's so strange. It's not an easy transition, and as you know famous people go through really hard things. You don't get to sit and relax in a certain mode for too long because before you know it you're in the next one. And then you go through your ‘ugly period’ in front of everybody, which is horrible.
The movie that you mentioned TCM is going to air, THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN, when I see the headshots from that I just think, “Aw, I looked uncomfortable!” I could see it even in my body. I felt like I was at the awkward time – you know, part of me was getting bigger, developing – and that hairdo they gave me didn't help; it was still the braids but wrapped up.
Tumblr media
I want to ask you about that transition. Did you find anything difficult or surprising about navigating Hollywood and growing up on screen?
PM: The most difficult part, honestly, as a person growing up – I think at the time I always say Sandra Dee was the person we all looked to. She was just so beautiful, and no one else looked like that – maybe Carol Lynley a little bit – but the bar was set very high. With that, you’re insecure anyways because you’re at that age, and more than anything you don't want to be different. I think that's true for a lot of kids. So the maturing, that part of development, was difficult when I look back. You don't have the confidence that you had as a little kid when you don't think about anything. You become all self-conscious about how you look, if you're thin enough, if you’re pretty enough, if your hair looks nice. It's a little bit of an adjustment to get through all that and go back to what you like to do, which is to pretend, and take the focus off what you look like or who you look like or any of that stuff. I don't know if other kid actors had the same experience, but usually people grow out of a look that made them known – most of us anyway, not all of us.
I know when you left Hollywood you went back to Brooklyn and finished high school there. What was that experience like for you?
PM: Well, I took my real name back, and I was going to the high school that my mother and older sister went to, so I was really excited. This is going to sound so weird, but it was almost like playing a part – I was playing the part of a high school student. My real name is Russo, so I was Patty Russo. The experience was really kind of shocking, because I think they expected me to be very conceited, and so I had to hide in the cafeteria in the early days, because it was Brooklyn and they were pretty tough – they were on me! But I made a best friend who helped me navigate through it, and it turned into a nice experience finally. I was glad to have had that.
Then I came back out here [Los Angeles], and I stayed with a friend of my mother's family for a while. I wound up leaving Utrecht [her Brooklyn high school] – it’s a long story – but I did a soap opera in between while I was going to Utrecht, and that was kind of tricky because they weren't flexible like California was. In California they were used to kid actors, and in New York at that time, they really weren't. Then when I came out here, I went back to finish high school at Hollywood Professional and got my diploma that way. But I'm so glad I got to go back to Brooklyn. I'm pleased about that.
It sounds like you had a pretty grounded childhood, especially in attending a regular high school. Do you think that helped how you adjusted when you returned to the film industry?
PM: It was a little bit too grounded, I think! I came from a really good family. I never thought that I was a big deal, and they [her mom and dad] made sure of that. So, coming back to the industry after, I really didn't know the ropes. People handled all that before – the only thing I knew was what I did, and so some things maybe didn't get handled so well, but I learned on my feet when I came back out here. Then I married my childhood boyfriend and we had our children, and I kept working.
Tumblr media
Yes, you’ve worked steadily since then.
PM: I did work a lot! It’s true. Nothing on the level of nominations, but I was a journeyman, I like to say.
You've spent six decades in the industry, which is really astounding, especially since you started as a child. I read an interview from 1974 that featured a humorous quote from you that I’d like to share. You said that you lamented that you never got the guy in movies and just once you wanted to “kiss the guys instead of kill them.”
PM: That is funny!
But throughout your career, you played Helen Keller, you played a career woman in THE BEST OF EVERYTHING (’70), you played Pat Nixon more recently in FROST/NIXON (’08), so you've had a lot of experience with different characters. Was there any genre or any type of character that you wish you could explore further?
PM: Well, I'll tell you the truth, it's actually seven decades from when I started, although if you want to make me younger, I don't mind! At this point in time, I'm so grateful when I work, because there could be nothing now, you know? I do enjoy what comes along. The only thing I never got to do, which I would have loved, was to have been in a habit – I would have loved to have played a nun in a habit.
That’s interesting.
PM: Isn’t it? It’s the Catholic school thing.
We’ll have to find you a role like that!
PM: I know, wouldn't that be fun? And it would be a nice way, in your later years, to go from a killer to a nun, you know? I think it would be a good idea.
Going in the right direction!
PM: Yes! But anyways, little things change here and there, and I sometimes do voiceovers, and I did something recently that I had never done, which was so much fun. Did you notice on Netflix a show called ARSENE LUPIN [working title for LUPIN]?
I haven’t heard of it, but I know there’s an old movie with the same name.
PM: Yes, this is a remake. It's in French, and I dubbed a French woman into English, and it was so much fun to do, to have someone else's face up there. I know some people watch foreign movies and they say, “Oh it's so unfair to dub the other actors,” and I probably wouldn't love it if somebody dubbed me either, but I had such a ball doing it. So, if you catch that show, you'll see somewhere in there I'm speaking English for a French woman.
I wanted to talk about two of your more recent roles. I know you starred in MOMMY in the 1990s, kind of a grown-up Rhoda, and you played a psychiatrist in the Lifetime remake of THE BAD SEED in 2018. This story has been filmed a few times; what do you think resonates with people, and how did it feel going back to that character and story but from different perspectives?
PM: Right. Well, to be honest, the Rob Lowe production [for Lifetime] was really a totally different story. There was no mom – he was the mom character – so the writing was really different.
There were two MOMMY movies: MOMMY (’95) and MOMMY’S DAY (’97). Those were written by a writer who lives in Muscatine, Iowa: Max Allan Collins. This is a long time ago now, but it was fun to grow her up, you know, physically. I talked to you about how that is the strange thing about transitioning, and it was so enjoyable to do that. It really was a journey for me internally.
There was also something about shaking hands with that, because in my day, it was never a good thing to have something so long ago be talked about all the time. I got that impression by other people's opinions, not my own, and as time went on, the world changed and people started knowing actors’ work from 20 years ago. So, the appreciation for that old work came back, and I learned to feel good about it through other people's feelings about it. I do have such a different perspective on it now, and it's a character that was so special. That really changed my ability as to how I could hold it [the role].
It’s nice to be able to do that.
PM: Yes, it is.
I have one more question for you. I know we’re in a pandemic and many productions are halted, but do you have any upcoming appearances that I can share with fans to look out for?
PM: Aw, I wish! It's funny, I did some Hallmark Christmas movies. Well, I did one, and then last year I was supposed to do another one, and they cut our parts because of COVID. So, I'm rooting for [the next one], and I have a good feeling, you know, when we have our vaccinations. Also, a downside was that they shoot in Canada, and they have to bring you up there, and at that time you had to stay in 14 days.
A lot of rules!
PM: Yes, a lot of rules. So hopefully there will be a new one. I can't honestly say, but there's no reason there shouldn't be!
My dad loves the Hallmark Christmas movies, and I watch a lot of them because of him, so I'll be rooting for you and looking out for you!
PM: I know, there's so many. People have blankets and all these things! There are real hard-core fans – it's amazing.

“I know no one who has embraced a love ethic whose life has not become joyous and more fulfilling. The widespread assumption that ethical behaviour takes the fun out of life is false. In actuality, living ethically ensures that relationships in our lives, including encounters with strangers, nurture our spiritual growth. Behaving unethically, with no thought to the consequences of our actions, is a bit like eating tons of junk food. While it may taste good, in the end the body is never really adequately nourished and remains in a constant state of lack and longing. Our souls feel this lack when we act unethically, behaving in ways that diminish our spirits and dehumanise others.”
“To live our lives based on the principles of a love ethic (showing care, respect, knowledge, integrity, and the will to cooperate), we have to be courageous. Learning how to face our fears is one way we embrace love. Our fear may not go away, but it will not stand in the way. Catch You On the Flip Side: Farewell from 2020 Interns Sandra and Chyina
Tumblr media
We’re always sad to see our interns go—and they’re often sad to leave us! We’re wishing our talented interns farewell for now as they leave these roles, but we’re comforted by the fact that they’ll still be around as participants and forever members of the NaNoWriMo family. Here’s some reflection from fantastic Fall 2020 Interns Sandra and Chyina:
Sandra Moore, Programs Intern
It’s December! NaNoWriMo 2020 has been over for a little over two weeks, and somehow, it feels like both yesterday and an eternity ago. In an official capacity, I haven’t been with NaNoWriMo for very long, but as my time with the organization draws to a close, I inevitably find myself thinking about the beginning. Not three months ago, when I got the news that I would be working for them—but ten years ago, when my sister looked over at me, frantically scribbling away on my latest masterpiece, and asked, “Have you heard of NaNoWriMo?”
I don’t think either of us realized how important NaNoWriMo would become to my writerly experience. Over the years, the people behind NaNoWriMo carried a certain mythos in my head. They were a sort of shadowy league of novelists, empowering others to write 50k every November. I remember reading as a wee middle-schooler about how the first NaNoWriMo staff got carpal tunnel from signing people up, and, as such, were unable to participate in NaNoWriMo.
“That’s hardcore,” I said, and resolved to give myself carpal tunnel. (No, I have not yet succeeded, and have realized since that it’s a terrible goal.)
And the people on the staff ten years later prove to be every bit as hardcore as I imagined. But not in the damage-your-wrists kind of way (so far), but in the resilient way, the one that keeps an organization running when it seems like every obstacle is in its way. I can’t think of a better staff to have experienced the election with, to have worked with during COVID, to run around trying to murder each other in viral sensation Among Us. Yes, they are not perfect. But every time they made a mistake, they used it to move forward, to ask themselves, How can we be better as an organization?
How can we be better as an organization? How can we be better as staff, as writers, as people? Ten years of NaNoWriMo means that I’ve convinced quite a few people to try it and I always tell them it’s critical to be passionate about their NaNoWriMo novel. Working behind the scenes, however, has shown me how important it is that passion comes from both ends. The reason NaNoWriMo feels special, the reason I keep coming back to it, is because of how much its staff cares about the organization. So long as that stays the same, I can’t see NaNoWriMo going anywhere but up.
I didn’t win NaNoWriMo this year, but that’s okay! I’ll be back next year, back on the regular Wrimo side. I’ll see you all there.
Sandra first learned of NaNoWriMo in 2010 and has completed many first drafts since. (She does not speak of the earlier ones.) When she’s not writing, she reads a lot of LGBT science fiction, watches animated shows/movies, and thinks about food. All the time. She loves food, so, so much.
Chyina Powell, Editorial Intern
When I was asked to write a farewell post to end my internship with National Novel Writing Month, the first thing I thought was, “I don’t want to.” And I thought this for two reasons:
I didn’t want the internship to end.
I had no idea what to write!
That being said, I decided to just jot down some of the things that came to mind, like how I came to work with NaNoWriMo this fall and the cool things I was able to experience because of it.
2020 has been a very weird year for everyone, but in the mess and mayhem, there have also been opportunities. This was the first time EVER that NaNoWriMo decided to hire remote interns and that meant that I could apply to work with an organization I had been a part of for years! And oddly enough, I was chosen to become the Editorial Intern. Perhaps it was due to my love of showtunes or overall weirdness, but whatever the case may be, I was able to work with some really amazing people. Not only the other staff and interns, but with the participants and guests as well.
It was truly amazing to see just how creative and imaginative each and every NaNo and YWP participant was throughout the fall. Reading some of the forum posts, soliciting blog posts reminded me of just how important community is to writers. Participants bouncing ideas off of each other, congratulating each other for meeting word count goals and being chosen for 30 Covers, 30 Days, encouraging each other when things don’t work out the way they planned.
I was also privileged to see what happens behind the scenes, how one small team can make November memorable for people all over the world. Everyone who has a hand in making NaNoWriMo what it is, from the staff to the interns to the MLs and forum moderators are spectacular people. They made this internship experience feel comfortable and welcoming. And even though I am on the other side of the country from the other staffers, I didn’t feel like I was left out of anything. In fact, the staff (at least in my opinion) made sure that we interns felt like we were a part of the team, asking our opinion and giving us the opportunity to work on really cool projects.
So, I would like to thank everyone from the participants to the staff to everyone who partnered with NaNoWriMo this year, during a global pandemic, for making this one of the best internships I have ever had and reminding me just how fun writing can be when you have people there supporting you every step of the way.
And for those of you who never would’ve imagined that an opportunity could have risen out of such a dismal year, I urge you to see the bright side of things. Before this pandemic, I never could have imagined working with NaNoWriMo (I had no inclination whatsoever to move to California) but look at me now! Remember that no matter what, you can turn a bad situation into something positive, something magnificent. And maybe it’ll be you I watch next fall in a Virtual Write-In!
This was a great opportunity and I loved every minute of it. And with that, I say farewell (although I would prefer not to!)

I found your Cristina Yang drawing in the tags and I love it! Being that I’m still stuck inside, I finally watched the show and it’s so deranged! Like it genuinely has its moments of joy and fun but overall it’s just. Exhausting to watch? It was wild but watchable until Cristina left and then it dived into soap opera land for the next two seasons but after season 10? Not sure what they were smoking in the writers room! Also, I went through your tag and I one million percent agree with your thoughts on Cristina and Owen(who, if anyone did you think she should have ended up with?). Started fast forwarding his scenes like I genuinely hated him! Not sure what they were going for with that couple other tbh. And I’ve always been of the mindset that Teddy and Cristina should have been endgame, personally.
ahhhh thank you so much!!! i'm so happy to see this ask i love talking about greys madness :-) (this got really long so im gonna put it under a read more)
but yes it's SO insane, which i kinda love sometimes, the bomb episode is one of my favorite tv watching experiences, but it can absolutely be exhausting, especially in the later seasons. i've been watching it with my (former) roommate and we're on season 12 or 13, but i wouldn't have made it that far past christina's exit on my own lol. sandra oh carried that whole show for ten seasons! and she deserves much better scripts, honestly, and while her leaving wasn't entirely satisfying, i guess i'm glad they gave christina a #girlboss medical center in switzerland instead of. for example, hitting her with a bus. but in some ways it makes it worse because like, don't tell me christina's not gonna catch a plane to seattle when (season 11 spoiler)!! but wow! the show is so much worse without her </3 especially because we still have to suffer through owen?? and for what???? (although he's slightly... slightly less bad when he's not with christina, they really do bring out the worst in each other! lmao)
i think christina and teddy have one of the best, if a little co-dependent, mentor-mentee relationships in the series, (and christina does have a pattern of dating mentor figures!) i think teddy respects christina a lot more than owen or burke ever did, and they... actually seem to like each other a lot! so i think there's a lot of potential for a good relationship there, i would certainly pitch that if i was writing for greys in 2010. i mean christina tells teddy she would choose her over owen! in the rain! (which turns it from an own-centered love triangle to a christina-centered love triangle, like that's not even subtext)
i also like christina and meredith <3 their relationship is the emotional core of the show (until season 10 :/ ) and maybe i'm a sucker for best friends who just really love each other (and regularly show up in each other's beds lol) like they are each other's person! but realistically, they would need different things from each other in a relationship than they would in a friendship. i mean christina does not want kids, and mer is such a mom! so i don't think it would work within the show as written
but i also don't mind that she ended the show single, because the canonical relationships she was in were so.. bad. i think whoever christina is partnered with would have to accept that they come second to medicine (which burke and hunt couldn't deal with!) but to be fair, i think anyone would struggle with that. i think part of christina's draw to teddy is that teddy IS medicine to christina when they meet (similarly with burke), and it'd be interesting to see how that changes when christina is an attending or running her own research center in switzerland and she doesn't need a mentor/teacher.
