Yes ma'am! I got a Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Jesse so far (like I'm collecting Pokemon over here), but no one has asked for our sweet Echo yet!

Since Juicy Jesse got prompt 10 (not that I'm opposed to doubling up but I kinda wanna share the love) let's go with 8, “Seems like someone likes to be praised.” Also I hc that Echo is a little shit and that is exactly how he would tease.

IDK why this one was so hard to write, but I'm satisfied with it. I hope you like it!!

Pairing: ARC Trooper Echo x f! Reader

“C’mon, love, you can give me another,” Echo bargained, his head resting on the meat of your thigh as he watched his fingers disappear into your heat.

Your muscles trembled beneath his cheek, and he looked up, past your heaving chest, to see you shake your head. You couldn’t verbalize your refusal with anything more articulate than a series of sweet, short little whines.

“Yes, you can. My good girl always gives me what I need, and right now, I need to see how gorgeous you look when you drench my hand again.”

It wasn’t really a shock. Echo always noticed how bashful you’d get when he’d whisper sweet words to you normally. But he wasn’t expecting how tight you’d squeeze his fingers in response to his compliment, your hips tiling forward to push him deeper.

“Oh? Seems like someone likes being praised,” he teased lightly, chuckling as you tucked your face into the crook of your arm. “Do you want more? Do you want to hear how hard your pretty little sounds make me?”

Echo smirked as you mewled in response.

“How sexy you are grinding down on my hand?” He tilted his palm so the heel ground against your clit as his fingers curled inside you, your hips jerking in response.

“How good you are, getting so wet for me?” He began thrusting harder, letting the wet slap echo through the room.

“How you look like a karking goddess when you come?”

Echo picked up the pace, well and truly fucking you with his fingers as he lost himself in the sounds of your pleasure, his own hips grinding lazily into the mattress. He could feel your muscles tightening beneath him, lifting his head so he could watch as you fell over that edge.

The shift let him adjust his angle, striking that spot that had you arching off the bed.

“That’s it, baby. I need you to feel good. You deserve to feel so, so good.” Your entire body was locked in tension, and he knew just how to make it snap. Pushing himself up your body just a little, Echo whispered, “Just let go; I got you.”

The words barely left is lips when you started shaking, seizing as pleasure wracked through you, a guttural cry piercing through the air.

Echo kept his fingers deep in you, letting you use him to ride out your orgasm until you began shifting away from the overstimulation. Rolling onto his side, Echo pulled you into him, holding you gently and stroking your hair softly as you slowly came back to yourself.

After a few minutes, you look up at him, a lazy smile painting itself on your face. Echo could feel it mirrored on his own lips.

“How are you doing?”

“Perfect.” Your voice was raw but filled with satisfaction. You pressed closer to steal a kiss. “You always make me feel perfect. Always so good to me. Good for me.”

Echo could help the satisfied shiver than ran through him, and unfortunately you noticed. Your eyes narrowed playfully.

“Oh? Seems like someone likes being praised,” you teased, parroting his earlier words. He tried to regain control of the situation, but your hand slipping down to grab at his weeping cock stopped any rational thought.

“You’ve been so good to me. I think it’s time I return the favor, don’t you?” You asked, sliding down his body to press light, kitten licks to his tip.

Echo knew right then and there he would praise you every time he took you to bed if it meant earning your rewards in return.

trimax volume 6 random thoughts

chapter 1:

oh, hey, it's the guy from the 98 anime!..... or not?!

i'm not keeping track of this TOO closely, so there may be other instances of this that i missed, but the guy from 98 episode 1 also showed up in trimax chapter 7. it makes me wonder if nightow provided character designs/ideas to the 98 team, or if it's the other way around and he decided to incorporate anime-original characters into the manga. either way: neat!

HAVE I MENTIONED I LOVE MERYL, BY THE WAY.

i love the bits of characterization we've been getting for her. she (and milly) are our tie to humanity, after all

i must say it is nice to have a goofy fight after... all that in volume 5. and before... the rest of volume 6.

chapter 2:

aaaand now we start the next chapter with wolfwood's nightmare/flashback! hurts just a little bit! (the trio IS kinda serving tho ngl... when you have a fashion show at 7 but need to terrorize the orphanage at 6)

^ completely and 100% unironically, they were in love here.

i just... ugh. this is such a vashwood chapter. the absolute trust and fighting together completely seamlessly, they are just. ugh. ughhhhh. this kind of trust just GETS to me.... sorry. i'm normal about them. i'm NORMALLLLLLaauughghghgh

chapter 3:

legato continues to be fascinating to me. i'm observing him like a bug in a jar. which is appropriate, considering...

WHEN I CALLED HIM A BAGWORM IN THAT ONE POST I WAS JOKINGGGGG I WAS JOKING!!! THIS MADE ME LAUGH FOR LIKE 10 MINUTES STRAIGHT WHY DID SHE HANG HIM FROM THE CEILINGGGG IT'S SO FUNNY

this is actually making me fucking cry.

...i got so distracted laughing at bagworm legato that i almost forgot to say literally anything else about the chapter, but anything else i have to say mostly boils down to "wow, legato is such a freak (affectionate)"

also, whenever something that was in tristamp is brought up i feel like the leonardo dicaprio pointing meme. like "oh hey, i know this!" going into this manga with prior knowledge from stampede is... an interesting experience. all that being said, i can't WAIT to see more of the manga version of double fang. oh nightow we're really in it now

chapter 4:

oh, finally, FINALLY!!! last volume i asked where the knives nuance was and now we're FINALLY getting some knuance, thank god. seeing knives react to just how badly humans treat plants is SO effective. and we're not even up to the juicy part yet. it makes me want to eat glass.

speaking of eating glass.

i thought something like this might've been the case, but still... this hurts to read.

i want to eat glass!!!! fuck!!! this reveal is so insane, it's like monkey's paw of "this is a way knives can be defeated, but by the same method, vash is closer to death than knives is." WE don't want vash to die, and neither does knives, and this chapter is the first (and possibly the only, idk) time the reader's feelings and knives's feelings are... well, aligned. at least in a sense.

chapter 5:

this chapter is really something, because it starts off almost seeming like another lighthearted "we're in a random town fighting a goofy enemy of the month" romp much like the early chapters were, heck like chapter 1 of this very volume. but it's just wearing the skin of that. which is, y'know. the thesis of this entire chapter. smiling to hide the pain and all that.

i don't think i can really... articulate anything of substance. the chapter just kind of... speaks for itself, i think.

although i DID laugh at ww trying to enjoy his noodles and failing, and also the phrase "needle-noggin-isms." thanks for providing some levity, we actually really do need it.

chapter 6:

ohhh boy we are REALLY in it now!!

i enjoy seeing knives ponder like this. legs crossed, arm slung over his face... i don't know. maybe it's because i myself sometimes lounge in this pose.

what exactly is he thinking about, i wonder. that in awakening/forcing vash to use his powers, he unintentionally pushed him closer to death? maybe? i don't know. either way it's very on-the-nose for what their relationship has been like.

and then of course we cut to this shot of vash, looking in a mirror created by knives's slice

this shot is making me think a lot and i'm reading too much into it, but- obviously the reflection puts vash's beauty mark on the opposite side, so there's the knives resemblance, so also, i suppose vash must see knives every time he looks in the mirror, right? also vash looking at his reflection featuring his own black hair- which we're all still thinking about... i dont know. i dont even know if this is anything LOL. i feel like i have the dots but i'm failing to articulate the connection. anyway

this made me laugh. thanks for the levity again, wolfwood :)

maybe i'm just insane for this because it's Generic Party Imagery but the specific combination of rem flashback + party popper + funny glasses makes me think of the similar scene in 98 when the seeds crew celebrates finding planet gunsmoke. like is this another instance of nightow nabbing stuff from 98 or am i just making things up.

the twins are so cute and baby knives smiles so much, i want to microwave myself.

knives wants to believe in humanity. man. MAN!!!!!

what comes next... i'm absolutely carrying my prior stampede knowledge into this, but fuck, man. fuck. even then, i know that stampede didn't show everything, so i don't even fully know what to expect. which is fun! but i can't believe the volume ends right in the middle of the flashback, MAN!!!

9. favorite detective novel

i don’t read a ton of detective novels tho i tend to really enjoy them when i do, as i have a categorical inability to predict a plot twist and am always delighted and surprised by literally any ending. my fav is probably the witness for the dead by katherine addison, which is the first in the cemeteries of amalo series. i suspect it’s not actually a very good detective novel but it IS really juicy bureaucrat fiction about a deeply depressed magical priest-clerk who takes lovingly rendered fantasy public transit a lot.

17. favorite finished series

uhhh lord of the rings?? i have a completely baseless Thing against completed series and a bad habit of reading the first book in big name genre trilogies/duologies with absolutely no intention of finishing the rest. how dare the author attempt to control my reading order etc etc. however there are a lot of books that i read as standalones and then happily enjoy the sequels when they came out later, idk why my brain is like this

pale fire by vladimir nabokov (vladdy nabs, at it again!!! a book that is laughing at you and looking down its nose at you and batting you around with a tennis racket and you love every minute. i read it in 24 hours.)

a certain hunger by chelsea summers (read for book club, Quite Bad, had a great time tearing it to shreds as an exercise in articulating my preferences and identifying insecurities abt my own prose)

HHhH by laurent binet (meta histfic that feels like it crawled into my brain somehow, i found the central conceit of a historical novel that resists and resents fictionalization so provoking it was hard to read in places but everyone who enjoys the genre should read it and come talk to me abt it pleaseee)

3. Who’s your third-favorite Robin? Tell us one thing you like or dislike about them.

Okay, I thought this one would be easy but then I started overthinking it. Going off of the 5 post-crisis Robins who typicaly make the lists. Initial Answer: Damian. Dick and Tim ranked above, Jason and Steph ranked below (not necessarily in that order.) But that's in terms of generally how interested in their character I am. (I haven't gotten as in depth for Damian yet, but I want to like him.) (I am sorry Steph fans, but she's just never a character who really clicked for me. I get why people like her, but she's just not for me.

But then! I started thinking well, what about the character *as* Robin and then I think it might be Dick. Because look, I am an unrepentant Tim fan. I like Tim as Robin. Damian as Robin has got a lot of juicy story potential and I enjoy reading him when I stick my nose into other eras of comics other than the one I'm reading. Robin: Year One for Dick was excellent, but I think I'm just more interested in stories where he's Nightwing.

Ummm, likes/dislikes I guess.

Damian: Because I just read Robin War, I like him trying to pull the sacrifice play like his dad! He is trying and he is like 12 and he is being a bit of stubborn ass of it like his dad and it's sweet even as Duke's got to knock some sense into him.

Dick: I guess to contrast the other answer, I'll go with a dislike, but I'm having trouble articulating why I don't like Robin!Dick content as much other than it just doesn't compel me as much. I think maybe the more golden/silver age tone. Less on the drama side, more on the flashback-y ness in the eras I've read. Idk if that makes sense.

13. Is it okay to make detailed contingency plans to take down your teammates? (see: Tower of Babel and a million other storylines) Why or why not?

Okay, but more serious answer: yeah. It's Batman's job to be paranoid and they live in a world with earth-3 alternate evil versions and mind control and stuff. He should probably spend more time coming up with contingencies for the contingencies though.

Thanks for the ask, and wow! I’m so happy that you come back to this fic. Tbh, it’s my favorite of the bunch, I had the most fun writing it. I’m a little sad that it has the fewest hits in the series but I understand the tone isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Either way, tapping into Daffy’s headspace was so fun.

The closing lines and description of the fic popped into my mind one day as a drawing prompt at first, but then I started thinking: ok, this is an incredibly vulnerable moment… what could possibly have built up to that? I decided that writing would do it justice.

So I had my ending, and I already had the setting–a dressing room backstage, hours before curtain call– but I wasn’t sure who’s pov to stick with. I realized I hadn’t tried writing from Daffy’s perspective, and so when I got into that headspace everything started to fall into place. Daffy’s very observant, always thinking of the “good ole days”, and can get deep into thought sometimes. Because of that, I felt free to explore some ideas I had on how cartoons view celebrity, what Happy Rabbit could have been like, and articulating Daffy’s mixed feelings towards Bugs without losing the focus of the fic.

Watching the old shorts again, it’s very obvious Bugs’ prototype Happy Rabbit was a carbon copy of Daffy. He slowly came into his own though, but it took some experimentation to get there. I know that A Wild Hare is Bugs’ official debut, but I feel it devalues what I believe to be his true origins in Porky’s Hare Hunt. Watching Happy Rabbit grow from a poor imitation of Daffy into his real personality in A Wild Hare feels like it gives depth to Bugs’ character. I’d rather he’s a rabbit that went through growing pains than a character whose debut was a perfect, instant success. Idk, I just really want to write stuff that shows Bugs isn’t as untouchable as everyone thinks he is. That being said, I played with those two ideas to make for some delicious juicy inner conflict on Bugs’ end. Even though the ending is sweet, I don’t think Bugs will ever reconcile with what he was, or even acknowledge his imperfect past again haha. He’s fine going along with the general consensus that Happy is a completely different toon than him.

I might make some other fics abt backstage shenanigans, there’s just something about the anticipation always looming in the air, moments that are brief but sincere, but needs to be left in the room for the sake of the audience. It’s a fun way to make some progress in relationships, but also a reassurance that the status quo will be upheld.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

READ AT OWN RISK!!!!!

Listen, we need to take a moment and talk about the growth going on between Kori and Kom. We'll get to the rest of the episode in a minute, but I just want to talk about how Kori put herself aside to hear her sister out. I think this is important for their relationship moving forward, but definitely going to lead to a big big betrayal by the end of the season. Kom is always an articulated villain and she has her sister's trust back. And that alone is extremely dangerous.

Okay, now for the rest of the episode.

I actually enjoyed it, well, some of it. Side eyes dickb*bs mess.

I'm kinda mad we didn't see the aftermath of the shooting at Tim's restaurant. We don't know if his parents are okay. This is the many things wrong with Titans as a whole, their continuity sucks. And they even started the episode with the aftermath of Jason distributing the toxin, but ignored an entire character's story that ended the previous episode.

Crane being a total stoner is amazing, idk why but it seems to work for his psychotic behavior; like the dude is just too clam.

Yoo, I really miss Rachel. Like Gar needs his buddy back and I need her to grace the screen to be another person to set Dick straight.

I honestly hate that Jason's ego gets in the way of him being a successful person. He goes out of his way to be self-destructive to seek attention from others; complete Middle child syndrome going on. He hates not having Crane's attention on him, especially with Lady Vic around to be Crane's new assassin. But Jason needs to stop setting himself up to get hurt. It makes me afraid that Crane will just off him again at some point.

When the hell did Dick and Kori have a heart to heart. How does she know his parents were killed by mobsters? Did she do an in-depth google on him? Did he drink too many beers and spilled his soul one night? WHERE ARE THESE MISSING SCENES PEOPLE!!!

Oracle, nuff said. That shit was crazy cool and I hate Barbara for destroying it before we could see more of it.

There is an annoying pattern of Dick's ex-flames comparing him to Batman or Bruce and I'm tired of it. He's Dick muthafukin Grayson, his own man. Put some respect on his name!

I'm curious to see how Crane will try to take apart the Titans one by one. So far he has only tried to hurt Dick and Babs, but I wonder if that is because he lacks intel on the rest of the team because Jason may not know much on them or he hasn't thought to go after the rest of the Titans just yet.

I didn't think it was possible to give Dick an even douchier car, but they're evolving. The Jeep pick up, I fucking died.

At some point in the episode I had a moment where I was like: "Wow, Crane is really smart." but after they find his distribution factory for the toxin, I came to realize he is genuinely doing all of this on the fly, and needs Jason more than he thinks. Most villains have back up plans when their first plan goes awry, but Crane actually panicked. But because of this, I'm concerned for Jason's safety with Crane since he's extremely drugged up after the factory is taken by the Titans, and has no one to protect him.

Now for the juicy stuff, Connor and Kom ooooooooohlalalala, I know Kom is bad news but damn their chemistry is pure fire. Connor's reaction to Kom suiting up for the first time, the mans was ready to propose.

The ending of the episode was really important. Gar seems to be the only one concerned for Jason's wellbeing and I'm glad he's taking initiative to gather help to save Jason from himself. I found it hilarious how Molly answered the door by pointing a gun out. Such a Gotham reaction. Loved it!

I'm hopeful next episode we see where the plot is going to weave into where this season in heading. I will say, I feel sorta bored at the moment. We don't know what all of this is leading to. We have a big bad, great. What is his goal? We have Kom and the possibility of a big bomb dropping, what is that bomb? and how will it effect the team? Also, where is Rachel and Donna? I feel like their plot is what the show is missing right now and I really miss seeing Rachel trying to figure her powers out.

Ooooh, gimmie those juicy, juicy Johnny backstory headcanons 👀👀👀

Okay, so I always feel kind of bad? I guess, talking about my ideas of his backstory because A) I feel like they’re very cliche,

B) I know I don’t know every drop of TTRPG Lore, despite that not truly being canon to the game a lot of the time and also the cyberpunk universe timeline is kinda a mess, so i just do whatever i want (like samurai’s starting when he was 15 and also when the war he served in started, like the amount of overlap between the war and samurai’s active years is insane and the game can’t decide when Johnny was a soldier and when he was a grungy rocker)

C) given CDPR still plans to expand on the game with DLC and stuff, I know it’s fully possible that my ideas will be debunked in the coming months.

So, take all of these ideas with a grain of salt and as always if your headcanons conflict with mine; that’s cool that’s why they’re headcanons

I feel like Johnny had a rough childhood firstly, cause in the immortal words of Linda Belcher; “Look at how you stand. People who had good childhoods don't stand like that.” Like everything about him screams shitty childhood. My brain for some reasons specifically imagines, alcoholic abusive father and enabling compliant mother. Which, again, I know is the cliche of shitty childhood backstories, but it is cliche largely because its an unfortunately common reality. I imagine his first guitar is probably one of the only nice gifts he ever got and music was largely an escape. I came up with the idea too of his father having been a blue collar worker who was injured on the job; unable to work afterwards, given barely anything for workers comp and ongoing unemployment. Leaving the family struggling financially. Fucked over by his employers, turning to abusing pills and alcohol to cope with pain and raging at Johnny and Johnny’s mother. Teaching and instilling habits that would follow Johnny too.

I like the idea of Johnny and Kerry meeting first as kids, junior high to high school. And between the years of at least 13-15, the earliest conception stages of samurai started. And I do mean the earliest, messiest, barebones stages of Samurai; it was basically two teenage boys playing and scream singing their unrefined lyrics in a garage. Cause they were kids and just wanted something to do, something to get their mind off the shitstorm of life. Maybe, i debate internally, they do manage to meet Nancy, Denny, and Henry maybe they all grew up in Texas and with someone more competent even at their young ages, Nancy manages to get them actually going a bit as a young band. A few little underground grungy gigs playing at bars they weren’t old enough to drink in.

Now again, formation of Samurai and Johnny serving in the war, lead to like the biggest question marks in his backstory because nothing lines up very well. The war he served in started when he was fifteen, albeit that’s not for sure when he enlisted. Given we’ve been told children can in universe be scouted by corps to be their soliders; its not out of the realm of possibility that he served before he was 18 and was drafted as a child. But. Johnny specifically states he enlisted, that he made that choice. I’ve stated before that given how long the war lasted, its fully possible he enlisted at 18, served so much of the last four years of the war then ditched following his friend dying for him.

However, I have also considered and really do personally like the idea, that Johnny did enlist himself and did so prior to being 18, though not as young as 15. Because, he forged his documents to enlist. There’s incidents and documentation of people as young as 15 faking their birth certificates and high school diplomas in order to enlist. I could absolutely see a 16-17 year old Johnny, frustrated with life and thinking he could have a bigger impact in the world in the military, forging his documents and enlisting. This leads to of course Samurai breaking up for that time.

He serves around 4-5 years, deserting and leaving around 2009. Spends his month spinning his wheels and staring at the Pistis Sofia. He comes out of his funk and is ready to send his message about the dangers of corps to the world and he knows just how to do it. Fully adopts the name Johnny Silverhand and goes to track down his old friend Kerry. Samurai is freshly reformed.

Right around that same time, he meets Rogue. (which even this is fucky in canon????? Rogue says lets pretend its 2015 and idk what a bastard you are, Alt died in 2013, he’d already cheated on Rogue by then???? ANYWAY) They meet about the 2009-2010 mark as Samurai is coming back together. Personally, I like to imagine they met while she was on the job. She had to eliminate a target who happened to be at the venue Samurai was doing a gig and Johnny managed to stumble upon her snapping the guy’s neck or something. And she thinks her covers blown, but hahaha Johnny’s into that and is like “hey, you want a drink?” and is then like determined to get with her and they fall into a relationships. Then around 2011-2012 he fucks it all up, cheats, there in my opinion is definite overlap in his relationship with Rogue and his relationship with Alt.

I also feel like he met Alt at a samurai gig? I can’t remember the TTRPG lore of it, but I feel like in general Johnny met most of the women he had relationships with at Samurai gigs, partially cause he’s a just...a liitle egotistical. Alt however was there as someone who was genuinely into the music, (Rogue at one point in canon condescendingly calls her a groupie and I can’t but feel there’s a bit of truth in thats how it started). But Johnny started to legitimately feel things for her, but being Johnny, he never properly articulated that and always had to keep fucking it up. They fall into a pretty whiplashy toxic relationship over the course of a year or two where they do genuinely feel for each other, but Johnny can’t ever let his walls down enough to tell her that in earnest and is constantly doing things to fuck up the relationship, cause he’s a dick. Until in 2013, well, we know what happens.

Johnny has to spend some time with nomads, (probably after releasing Never Fade Away, because I do see this man as the kind of guy to postpone going in hiding just to release his song for Alt before doing so) as do Rogue and Santiago after the attack on Arasaka. Because Johnny’s busy trying not to be spotted. They wait for the heat to die down before Johnny comes back to Night City. Him and Rogue rekindle things for a time, but it ultimately is on and on and dies out again, because Johnny is stinky bastard man. Kerry had already been talking about going solo and by the time Johnny’s back in the city he had and Johnny does his solo thing for a while too. But ultimately Samurai reforms for a bit, in 2020, neither Kerry or Johnny quite ready to let it go yet. Somewhere also during this, Spider Murphy helps deliver a message from Alt about her status and asking him to let it go. He does not and joins the Morgan Blackhand mission to attack Arasaka Tower in hopes of saving Alt’s construct in the process.

Thats the barebones of some of my thoughts and headcanons; Im sure some are not lore compliant, I’m sure my timeline is messy and clashes horrifcally with CDPR’s also messy timeline. But, these are some of my thoughts, headcanons and ideas that will probably be defunct and pointless in a week.

it’s probably because i had that dream last night but i’ve been thinking a lot about the dynamic between batman and wonder woman today.

i’ll start with the caveat that i haven’t consumed a ton of media where they interact very significantly, but most of what i have read and watched hasn’t really delved into their relationship in a very satisfying way—usually, as is often the case with cape comics, they keep things pretty superficial. even stories where they end up in a romantic relationship with one another don’t often really deal with all the juicy contrast that exists between them, which is a shame because the second you really start thinking about it it’s pretty interesting. (my gut is telling me that the early 2000s justice league show might be an exception to this, but it has admittedly been A Minute since i watched it.)

but like, diana is a near-immortal warrior princess with godlike powers who was raised in this like matriarchal feminist utopia.

by contrast bruce is as mortal as they come (though comics WILL insist on ignoring this); he’s pushed his body and his mind to their physical and intellectual limits, but at the end of the day he is still very much a human man who does not have superpowers and who will die someday, even if i have to kill him myself. he is also from the most crime-ridden and corrupt city in the u.s., and while his money might have shielded him from that (and in a lot of ways definitely does), he lost his parents to that city at a formative young age.

people love to frame clark kent as bruce’s narrative foil, and i love those stories a lot, but i think just with what i’ve written above there is so much interesting stuff that could be done with diana situated as his foil, instead, especially in terms of their differing mortality and especially from diana’s point of view. i don’t tend to like romantic plots, so i’m personally thinking of it more in a platonic sense, but you could obviously go either way with it.

honestly i think bruce’s mortality should be dealt with more in justice league content just in general, but in particular what does it mean to diana that this very close friend and partner of hers is only going to be alive for a blink of her eye? does she hold him at a distance, at least at first? how does she take it when he throws his fragile human body at universe-level threats, as we all know bruce wayne WILL insist on doing? what’s her relationship like with the batkids, how does she feel about all of that? (i’m thinking a little bit here about an rp thread i had with @agecfmiracles a little while back where these questions were raised and answered to heart-melting effect.) how does her worldview clash with bruce’s as a result of their wildly different upbringings and strengths? does she ever see bruce as naive? petulant? going through an “edgy” phase? what are the fundamentals on which they agree, on which their friendship is ultimately founded? diana obviously tries to protect him a lot from physical threats; does bruce find other ways to protect her in return?

idk, i’ve been trying to type this ever since my last meeting ended, and i’ve got another one coming up in another half hour, and i don’t think i’ve articulated myself very well or honestly said much of anything, but just. idk diana and bruce are just very different but also very ride or die and there’s a lot of interesting stuff you could do with them if you wanted!!!

damon belmont has been seen walking the seattle streets. the werewolf has been in town for one week, and are known to be aloof but also very loyal. the thirty seven year old is the vice president of the mongrels motorcycle club. if you tilt your head and look at them in a certain light they might resemble charlie hunnam. their pronouns are he/him. damon’s werewolf gene is triggered.

statistics & connections

doesn’t know who his parents are / were. he was found abandoned in the woods of hayfork, california as a wee babe by a pair of hikers. tossed into the social system, he hopped from foster home to foster home, until finally sticking with a woman named delilah belmont, who eventually opted to adopt him.

she lived off the grid, in the backwoods, where she fended for herself by hunting for meat, growing her own produce, and even tended to livestock. damon thrived in this lifestyle, learning how to survive in the wilderness. he didn’t go to public school. instead, he was homeschooled by delilah, who taught him only what she valued to be of great importance. she wasn’t gonna raise no soft, yellowbelly who couldn’t fend for himself.

however, one day while out hunting, the two were attacked by a grizzly bear and it mauled delilah nearly to death before damon put a few rounds of bullets into it. there was no saving her, and she knew it. instead, she begged damon to end the pain. out of mercy, he killed her, and thus triggered the werewolf gene he didn’t even realize was in him. the confusion he had to deal with alone as a result was heartbreaking. he didn’t understand what he was, seeing himself as a monster whenever there was a full moon to unleash his inner beast. damon thought he was the only one of his kind, until he met a group of mysterious travelers.

the mongrels motorcycle club, what everyone assumed to be a band of criminals. damon first met them at a dive bar in town, where he’d been planning to drink himself into a stupor. they knew what he was immediately and offered him a home; a new family with them. while he had so many unanswered questions, the young werewolf also had nothing to lose, and so he joined the bloodmoon pack and never looked back.

the acceptance and relief from knowing he wasn’t an abomination was overwhelming. never did he think that he would develop such a strong bond with another person, let alone an entire pack of werewolves. the bloodmoon pack has been travelling just about everywhere, stopping in areas to rest before carrying on again, living as vagabonds, and picking up “strays” / other packless werewolves along the way. he’s been with the pack for sixteen years.

born in los angeles, california to a pair of admirably gifted parents, nicholas spencer lived a fairly privileged first eight years of his life. his mother, a soap opera actress, and his father, a talented chef, gave both nick and his older sister a life full of love and luxury. yes, everything was absolutely perfect in their world. until it wasn’t.

at barely eight years old, nick was violently thrown along with his sister into one of the most traumatic experiences any child could go through; they lost their parents to a fatal car accident. being forced to move to seattle with his sister to live with their aunt, he didn’t fully understand what it meant; he couldn’t properly process what was going on. the pain of his loss was expressed more out of anger, feeling as though their parents abandoned them. and thus, nick’s out of control behavior was born.

suicide mention tw. he struggled in school. his emotions betrayed him. instead of relishing a happy childhood, nick found himself pushing everyone away, getting into fights, sneaking out late at night to run around the city with his friends and get into all sorts of trouble with them. he couldn’t count on his hands how many times the police picked him up and brought him to his aunt’s doorstep. it only got worse once one of his best friends was found dead, written off as a suicide, though it didn’t add up in nick’s eyes and seemed so much more sinister. the young man was nearly deemed to be a lost cause, until he discovered his passion for writing.

language arts or literature was the last thing anyone would ever think to group with nick spencer. he was quite eloquent, sure, but the one thing he always did was play basketball at one of the outdoor courts in seattle. anytime he needed to blow off steam, to contemplate life, or just to shoot hoops, you could always catch him at the court. but his english teacher noticed how well he could articulate his thoughts and feelings on paper, and submitted one of his pieces to a writing contest, which earned nick the win and three thousand dollars as a prize.

bewildered by a talent he hadn’t even realized was in him, nick embraced it. he started writing in a journal ( which he keeps safely tucked away beneath the mattress of his bed ), documenting every feeling and thought as a way to express his emotions in a more productive manner. this talent earned him a full ride scholarship to seattle university, where he’s now a literature major with plans of either becoming an author or perhaps an english teacher, to follow in the footsteps of his high school teacher who he came to idolize.

oakdale, louisiana. born and bred. she was raised middle to two brothers, one older and one younger, but was the absolute apple of her mom and dad’s eye, being their only daughter. her family was reputable, as were the strawberry fields they owned. people from all over the state would pay a petty price to pick a few cartons full of the famously juicy adler strawberries.

at a very young age, verona had to learn how to better control her emotions, which is very difficult for a child to understand and do. she was known for glowing tantrums, and levitating when particularly elated over something. however, in due time, the young faerie learned to hide these paramount parts of herself from the world surrounding them, out of fear over the potential backlash of human ignorance.

she’s been very personable her entire life, much like a light in a dark room. excelling in school, she mastered both academics and the social aspect, she was on the school’s yearbook committee as well as the cheerleading squad, and played an active part in her community as best as she could, generally through volunteer work. a true southern belle, through and through.

however, verona was exhausted. she couldn’t stand pretending to be something she wasn’t; hiding her true colors from the world just because the world was deemed to be much too censorious when it came to being different. while she adored her family and friends, she wasn’t being true to herself which left her unhappy behind closed doors. so, at the age of twenty one, she found an ad in the paper for a roommate in seattle and the city was evidently huge in comparison to her small town. the thought of living somewhere that was hopefully more accepting was an absolute dream, so she packed her things and made the move.

she’s been living in seattle for three years now, working at the same bar & grill she started off with as a waitress and she loves it. she loves meeting people that come from all different walks of life, the mixture of humans and supernatural is perfect. though she’s still a little put out by hiding her true self, she enjoys being surrounded by a bigger populace of supernatural beings that she generally doesn’t have to hide around.

Dean Feelings on Optimism

Okay, to start with idk how to use Tumblr so *waves hands* hopefully this is... understandable???

ANYWAY I’ve been going nuts about this season and Twitter is NOT the platform to go nuts with thinky thoughts on so... tadaa *word vomits*

There was so much juicy Dean content in this episode- so much more maturity and progress towards acknowledging his regrets and his guilt and trying to move past it to be who everyone sees him to be. Jack, who also feels guilty about Michael, was the perfect match for Dean. Because through his forgiveness of Jack and his realization that it isn’t Jack’s fault, Dean realizes maybe it isn’t all his either. And that step towards forgiving himself is huge.

BUT- During the whole bit in the beginning Dean is trying to honor Sam’s wishes about Jack hunting and Sam’s new rules about buddies. It’s a lot more deference than Dean’s ever shown to anyone before, and I think it speaks volumes to his growth over the past few seasons. At the same time it makes me worried for Dean. Because what if the reason isn’t /just/ pride for what his brother has built. What if it’s also because he no longer trusts himself? With the Michael thing and subsequent things happening since he left, Dean is worried. What the episode gave us was a true double whammy of Dean feels. He’s proud of Sammy, he’s ready to honor the work Sam has put into this organization.

But its happening at a convenient time for Dean, when he doesn’t feel like he’s up to the task of /being/ that leader. I am super excited to see where this season goes b/c everything so far has been so masterfully articulated in both the writing and in Jensen’s acting that it seems all well and good on the surface, but it leaves me with just that slight edge of worry and unease over Dean’s future.

i really tried to enjoy this movie, i really did! but at the end of the day i think i wanted it to be something that it wasn’t

i really enjoyed rachel weisz and emma stone just absolutely going at each other, i liked the rivalry, i liked how abigail just completely abandoned whatever morals she had left for her ambition

sidenote: use this movie as a related text for macbeth?

i really enjoyed how each character had their flaws and ambitions, but like, i really wanted to be able to side with someone and stick with it??

flip flopping between who i wanted to feel sorry for made me confused lol

fun fact: i Did Not like the sound design

there’s a scene where theres just an ostinato of a cello plucking a pizzicato, then arco, then pizzicato for like. 10 minutes. i couldn’t handle it

youtubers can get away will playing audio for the next scene before the scene changes. in movies though, if you’re doing it for Literally Every Single Scene, it gets annoying?

upon reflection, when rachel weisz was like “we’re playing different games” to abigail, that she meant that she felt genuinely for anne, whereas abigail didn’t and just wanted her station back, but when i watched it, i was genuinely confused that at the end she didn’t return to court? i felt like that was a loose end and was SUPER confused lol

i did enjoy the tension between their personal lives and the government matters though! it felt very grey and juicy but idk, i felt unsatisfied by it in ways i can’t really articulate.

im gonna be so much fun at this oscars party im going to lmfaooo

So uh I may be having a slight case of Feels™ over these two, though tbh I’m not entirely sure what those feelings are exactly. I don’t know what exactly I’d most want, though I’d be interested in explorations of their evolving emotions in relation to each other, especially through Kylo Ren/Ben’s whole death/rebirth thing. What-ifs are another thing; what if, say, Ben didn’t die? What happens, then, since they’d have to actually deal with what he’s done? Feel free to retcon the kiss (which I thought was rather devoid of chemistry; in general their dynamic came across to me more as weirdly sibling-ish, especially after the Death Star duel) to a hug or something, if you want.

If you want to go to a lighter place, I can also see all sorts of shenanigans emerging after they discover their Force-teleportation skills.

Also feel free to retcon Rey’s parentage, if that is where your heart takes you: might she be Luke’s secret child? Leia’s? A descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi and, say, Satine Kryze?

Apart from that I’d prefer no full-setting AUs; canon divergence is fine, and if you go that route you can pick a divergence point as far back as you want.

Feel free to include whatever other characters are necessary for the story you want to tell.

(And also do keep in mind that you can absolutely cut off someone’s hand here, or for the Star Wars crossover farther down; in this franchise it is a goddamn motif.)

I’m utterly fascinated by the relationship these two have; the interplay of Adam’s… vendetta, maybe? I’m not sure what the right word for it is… and the fact that George also serves him as a mentor/almost-parental, in some ways, figure. And, you know, that Adam (maybe) kills him. We don’t actually see that; for all we know he made a different choice.

Consider this an exception to my “non-canonical MCD” DNW, since it’s deliberately ambiguous in canon; you can kill George, if that’s where your muse takes you.

Alice Adair | Legacy & Vince Reynolds | Jack of All (Super Powereds)

Their friendship/cousin relationship is Wholesome and I love it. Any point in the timeline, post-canon, all of it is Good and Welcome. Do they form a legacy children/villains’ kids club? They’re secret cousins; untangling the mess that is the past; so much juicy juicy stuff to work with!!

I love these kids, okay? And I wish they could all just… be okay. But of course they won’t be; we already know what becomes of them, after all.

There’s a lot to explore here, with these three in their varying combinations of course. Right now I’m most interested in the pre-Wild Magic timeline—what was Varice and Ozorne’s dynamic before Arram came along? what little snippets of things happen offscreen during the timeline of Tempests and Slaughter? how does Arram gain his black robe; how does Ozorne feel about that? Varice? how does Numair end up in exile, and how do the others feel about that whole affair?—but really I’d also be interested in something set during or around the time of Emperor Mage, from any of their POVs. We get all the story there from Daine, who is great! but she doesn’t know the history between the three of them, not intimately as they do, and I’d love any of their emotional reactions to being together again under such strained circumstances, so many years after everything fell apart.

In general: I’m not super picky about how shippy the shipfic gets; most of the ship prompts here would, I think, work as well for gen, excepting the suitor and the princess (which is not to say I’m asking that it be gen, obviously I’m not, but if your muse takes you that direction then go for it). Likes I put up top still apply down here.

In terms of settings, I especially like high fantasy, space fantasy, or, if relevant, Classic Superhero City Setting, but I’m open to just about anything.

I’m also not tremendously picky about the genders of the characters involved; if it isn’t stated within the prompt, go wild, but please do stick to standard English pronouns; I have a lot of difficulty reading things with neopronouns.
