Hearing three words should be something you dream about, look forward to with a smile on your face.

“Has he dropped the big L yet?” Your friends would always ask, as expected, coming up on a year of a nearly perfect relationship, as far as what they could see.

“Not yet,” you say, squirming uncomfortably, avoiding their disappointed pouts.

“He definitely will soon, Jeno’s obsessed with you.”

Nodding, you check your phone again, 15 text messages await you. The same anxious tingle you’ve become used to fills your chest, swiping open quickly to skim through your boyfriend's repetitive messages.

‘Where are you?’

‘Why didn’t you tell me you were going out?’

‘Who are you with?’

‘Why aren’t you answering your phone??’

‘Stop ignoring my calls.’

‘Answer me right now.’

The thing is, Jeno is obsessed with you, overbearingly so. The puppy love phase of your relationship came and went, and maybe you’re to blame; falling more and more each day for your seemingly perfect boyfriend.

“There you are.” Jeno’s arms come around your shoulders from behind, bending down to grab your phone and unlock it with a quick motion tapping in your passcode. “Look at that, your phone works perfectly fine.” He whispers too quietly for any of your friends to catch onto.

“Jeno!” They squeal excitedly, fawning over how sweet he is to pick you up after lunch and even help you into your jacket. “You’re such a cute couple.”

You don’t say much when he’s around anymore, completely out of your comfort whenever he touches you now.

It was little things at first, showing up at the same coffee shop, conveniently running into you after every class, Jeno joking that you must be soulmates always finding each other.

That or he shared your location to his phone after your first month of dating one night after you passed out with your phone unlocked.

‘I don’t think this is going to work, I need a break..’ a few months ago you tried to end things, picking up on more odd behavior with time.

Jeno smiled confidently, pulling your back to his chest, laugh rumbling against you. ‘You think I’d ever let you leave me?’

Everything changed after that, he never left your side, the spare key to your apartment you once told him about left in place only to mock you. He made copies, informing you he’d find a way in regardless.

“She’s so lucky.” Your friends smiled on, waving goodbye as your boyfriend told them you had to get going.

“We have a schedule to view puppies at the animal shelter.” Jeno lied, kissing your cheek. “The start of our little family.”

He squeezes around you, kissing your earlobe. “Now say goodbye, and smile.”

On command you wave, forcing a smile as he leads you away. The drive home full of shouting, slamming on the steering wheel, Jeno furious with you for breaking his rules.

“I just miss my friends..” you mumble, choking back tears.

“I can’t have you disobeying me again.”

“You know that I do this because I love you.”

That’s what Jeno always says, in fact he’s never been shy to express just how much he loves you. Exclaiming that you have no more time for work now, he’d take care of your rent and bills. Things like friends, a job, errands, those ‘stupid and pointless’ things take up time you could be spending with him.

“I didn’t want to do this again,” he sighs, fastening restraints around your wrists tightly. “All I do is show you love..”

He glares at you from the side, eyes thinned down to slits, sitting by your side and scanning down your bare skin. “You said it yourself that no one’s ever made you feel this way..”

Thin fingers graze down from the center of your chest, gliding between your rising breasts, tickling as they pass by your navel. “That’s because I love you baby,” shaking his head he pulls your legs apart. “I love you so much.”

Jeno’s emotions change so fast, you never know who you’re gonna get anymore, he can still be sweet but it comes from a dark place. A place full of manipulation and control, a hollowed sector of his mind where he keeps you locked up, the key tucked safely away in a hidden place only for him.

He keeps rambling, insisting he’s doing this to protect you, keep you out of harm’s way from men who want to hurt you, friends who try to use you, and family that want to take advantage of your gentle soul.

“I’m the only one you can trust, baby.” He hovers above, set between your thighs stroking up and down the soft ticklish flesh, occasionally meeting the skin covering your folds with a fleeting teasing touch. “I didn’t want it to get to this point..”

Jeno lifts your phone up with a scoff, shutting it off and tossing it aside to be forgotten. “You leave me no other choice.”

Hooking around your thighs, he pushes you into a high fold, core lifted up to his chin, his eyes sleek blaring down at the tears streaming down your cheeks. The gag in your mouth stretching your swollen lips apart, pathetic screams lost behind the cloth filling your mouth.

Jeno inhales deeply, nose running between your folds coated with wetness along his chin and upper lip, a smirk growing on his face the more he buries between your thighs. “I know you love me.” His tongue flicks at your entrance, flexing your stomach in the fold he’s trapped you in as he rolls against your hole.

Everyone knew that Chan was a workaholic. It was obvious. Every day he spent was infront of an electric device which he did his work on.

However he had gotten worse recently. Spending more and more time doing work. Maybe even 11 hours in a day.

You wanted to stop it. The attention you got was not enough. Barely even a hug before he got on that damn computer again.

Today was the day you were gonna have a talk with him about work. You were nervous. He was an independent man and stuck to what he wanted to do. Of course he also cared about you but not enough. It wasn’t enough for you.

You nervously scrolled through tiktok as you heard keyboard tapping. Chan was usually a nice person, but when he was mad, you and possibly everyone else was scared of him. It’s like a switch went off in him. From caring and sweet to I wanna kill everyone.

With every step you took your heart beated faster. You could hear it in your ears. The floor whined as your breath was shortening. You weren’t nervous or scared around him, but you feared that he‘d get mad and be scary.

You placed a slight tap to shoulder as he took off his headphones and spun in the chair.

The dark circles under his eyes were noticeable. He worked 24/7 with almost no breaks and it needed to stop.

‘Chan, I think you‘re working too much. I made lunch, wanna come and eat and maybe watch a movie?‘

That was all it took. Everything. He was in that state that he wanted to kill everyone and his voice just echoed in your head as you felt a migraine build up behind your eye.

You had been arguing for atleast an hour now, or maybe even more. You had enough and stepped into the bedroom and grabbed a suitcase.

‘Babe what the hell are you doing?‘ He asked, as if he hadn’t done anything.

You let out a slight chuckle as you replied to him;

‘Leaving. I had enough of this shit. All you do is work. I don’t even feel like I‘m loved. You probably love that fucking computer more than me.‘

‘Come on, don‘t be silly. How can I love a computer more than-‘ He tried to save himself but he was cut off by you.

‘I‘ve had enough! I‘m leaving! I don’t care what you say or feel but you are not treating me like I should be treated. You treat me like I‘m a monster, a psycho, a fucking piece of shit, a side chick! This is over. Don’t even bother calling me. Fuck off.‘ You ended as you left the house leaving him in disbelief. You had enough and this was going to be a new era of you.

The raindrops started to fall from the sky as you were freezing from the cold biting weather. You continued walking and sat on a bench next to a river.

You didn’t seem to know how it happened, when it had started and you couldn’t seem to get rid of it.

It was like a burden on your shoulders every time you saw him. The way his curls fell upon his face, the way they bounced on his head every time he moved. His red cheeks whenever he got embarrassed (which you loved to mock him for.)

But, you fell distant with him. You shouldn’t feel like this for your best friend. It didn’t seem right.

You lay in your bed, headphones over your ears, they weren’t too loud, but loud enough so you could hear the music. As the next song starts to play the doorbell to your small apartment echoes through the place.

You stand up, pausing your music and putting the headphones around your shoulders.

You make your way to your door, opening it before the person on the other side could ring the doorbell again.

You become face to face with the person you weren’t wanting to see. Well, it’s not like you didn’t want to see him, you did, but every time you see him you feel like melting.

He was stood at your door, his eyes never leaving your face. “Hey.” He greets with a small nod, “Can I come in?”

You nod, “Yeah, of course.” You step aside to let him in, sitting on your couch in the living room area, Ethan doing the same and sitting next to you.

“I just wanted to say I’m sorry.” Ethan starts.

“For what?” You raise an eyebrow.

“Well, I’m assuming I done something wrong, since you’ve been distant.” Ethan innocently says, making you laugh, you couldn’t help it. “Why’re are you laughing?”

“You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s my fault, for being distant.”

“Oh.”

It was silent for a few moments before Ethan speaks up again, “What made you go distant.”

You stare off, thinking about if you should tell him or not. This was your best friend, you didn’t want to ruin anything with him but at the same time you needed to come clean.

You hesitate, your hands in your lap as you twiddle your thumbs. A sigh escapes your mouth, as you turn to face Ethan, him looking at you the whole time. “Everytime I see you, I feel something I have never felt before until recently. And its making me loose my fucking mind, it’s making me feel horrible.”

Ethan doesn’t say anything, he stops your twiddling thumbs, and grabbing both your hands and holding them in his. “I feel the same.” He confesses, his eyes never leaving yours.

Your eyebrow quirks at his words, you face etched with shock. His hands move from yours to your cheeks, “Can I kiss you?” He asks, you nodding. He doesn’t hesitate to bring his lips to yours, his soft lips against yours as your hands find their way on both sides of his neck.

Everything about it was perfect, in the arms of the person you loved, his soft hands on your skin, the way he treated you like you were an antique, like you were delicate.

So based on mob psycho and my hero, can you draw Reigen as a Pro hero teacher at Yuuei please? You can design what his hero identity would be.

Ok this request was really hard for me because I'm terrible when it comes to making stories.

I think Reigen would either have a very weak/useless quirk (like changing his hair color) or he would be quirkless.

You can probably guess what these two are saying. Sorry. I got lazy :")

Now watch me try to write him a backstory at 1am ;) (but to be honest, it wouldn't be much better if i had written this at 10 am lol)

Let's go with quirkless because angst n plot! Also it just fits better, i think.

He has been lying to everybody that he has a quirk since middle school. A quirk like Silver tongue would be fitting but make people more wary of him, so he convinced people he has something else, sth cool. He can probably do all types of magic tricks n then said that's his quirk. When he started Spirits and Such, he obviously also started lying to everybody that he has a sort of psychic quirk. (Imagine if he meets somebody from school and now has to convince them that his quirk has changed or he was hiding his "real" quirk because his psychic ability was so powerful that would have been too dangerous for himself to reveal it. What if he had gotten kidnapped by villains!?)

So all the stuffs from MP100 still happened with little changes. Because power exists, why not ghosts? And power specifically linked to ghosts? Or quirks that is similar to psychic abilities. Or maybe quirks are actually a result of some supernatural incident, pretty sure quirks just kinda appeared one day in mha so that should works.

Now how did he got into all this anyways? I think it started out as self defense, the places he frequents and the people he deals with tend to be a bit shady after all. Then it became dealing with small criminals like purse snatchers or bullies. He uses his words most of the time and only use violence as a last resort. (Because he isn't THAT good at fighting) Everything was going fine for a while, people even gave him gifts to show their gratitude, but one time he unknowingly threw somebody from a small gang in jail. The gang confronted him. He probably bullshitted his way out of it but that was a close call. (He started training seriously after that, mostly still for self-defense) He really should hide his identity whenever he decide to play hero, but it's not like he can plan when he stumble across a mugging... He decided just change his tie and wear a mask lol

And it actually worked!

That's how he unintentionally became the local vigilante.

(Ok kinda random, and idk if it works well or not since i last watched mp100 a year ago, but at first Reigen just says whatever put him in the best situation, he only thinks about himself. After he met mob though, an increasing number of his confrontations became counseling sections.)

Ok so like i said, all the stuffs form mp100 still happened, with little change. And that was what thrusted him into the spot light.

But when exactly? How? Also why haven't the police caught him? While it's technically not illegal because he is quirkless, the police don't know that (yet). I couldn't come up with anything so naturally i turned to fanfics for inspiration. And Balanced at the hilt works really really well. Just copy paste it here, it's exactly what i want. There's even a reason why he decided to go beyond accidental heroism and actively go on patrol (there are very few heros, maybe none in that area because some big incident happened 20 years ago, which makes it a paradise for villains) He still try to only focus on small criminals of course.

Stuffs happens, now he is officially an underground hero and a teacher at Yuuei. His quirklessness is still a secret. Only a few know the truth and i think you can guess who. The officials all agree it would be more beneficial if they keep that hidden too (or he just convinced them). Spirit and Such is still opened, now run by Serizawa and Dimple, the kids stop by to help out sometimes too.

there’s something pleasing about carmy saying “monter” and then realizing that his classically trained chef lingo isn’t going to be understood so he says “whisk in”. because carmy is coming down to their level, but is also proving you don’t need a fancy french education or need to know fancy words to make good food. “whisk in” works just as well. the class dynamics in this show are so on point.

the calmness shown in the kitchen now that everyone is on board with the new system that carmy is so good. where we’ve seen chaos and overlapping anger, now we just see calm, peaceful, quiet cooking. the only holdout is richie

“yo, should we do a bakery?” god, i love chester. and i’m so serious; everyone needs a friend like chester, and every kitchen i’ve been in has a chester. just someone’s friend that pops in all the time for no reason and who everyone knows

the back and forth as chester asks if he should watch the bachelorette without marcus is so sweet. and again, it added to the “is marcus queer?” debate in my head. but also, having a bachelorette night with your bestie also sounds pretty dope, and two straight dudes can tear that up. i just want marcus to be happy.

tina went to mikey’s and mikey/carmy/nat’s moms for christmas. just further deepening that relationship of the family and tina. tina wasn’t phased by carmy’s mom going “full psycho”.

it’s so hard to see the undercurrents of carmy’s anxiety come out when talking about his mom (even more so since watching season two), especially with his emotional support spoon (which we all need)

the earned, relational aspect of richie being peoples cousin. pete calls him cousin and richie says “i’m not your cousin”. yet, we learn that beyond just the berzattos call him cousin later on. it’s kinda beautiful.

the fast turnaround of nat calling carmy a “soft shitty bitch” who only calls when he needs something from her to her melting and giving him a big hug when she learns he’s going to Al-Anon All Family three times a week is maybe the purest form of showing they are family i’ve ever seen on a screen in such a short amount of time

the transition of the early scene with syd telling carmy they should close when the dining room is flooded and carmy saying missing one service could kill them, to tina saying they can’t open because there’s no electricity, the walk-in is broken, and there’s no gas in the ovens, so syd improvises an outside grill is just fantastic use of character development and showcasing syd’s skills

marcus sitting in a spot where next season another memorable moment will happen with marcus and another line cook is kinda funny. probably not overtly planned by the writers or directors, but kinda fitting

marcus saying heard as carmy tells him that the job is insane and it can go from chill to unchill in a second and so that’s why he’s gotta stay up on his work. but we know (who’ve seen it) that marcus did not actually “hear” what carmy said.

carmy saying that he started a fire the night he won food & wine’s best new chef, and then says “you have a moment where you think ‘if i don’t do anything this place will burn down and all my anxiety with it’” is more indication of carmy’s twisted love of his own misery

“one last drug deal” to get them out of their money hole would have been a bigger storyline in lesser hands. but the nuanced, B storyline it has, allows it to just be a reality that happens in the background of a lot of shops around the US to stay afloat

the amount of chefs i know who at one point went into catering instead of staying in a kitchen is kinda wild. it seems like an alternative of a food truck. the “i don’t have enough money to open a brick and mortar spot, but i want to do my own thing” path. and the right caterer can be fire

god, syd waking up in the middle of the night with an idea for a dish so she writes it down because she has to is so….just so….true. i have so many notebooks filled with shit that has absolutely no value outside of a shop.

but it is the origin of the cola braised short ribs that will go alongside our risotto! the origins of the cursed dish is growing!

i love this episode so much! and i love how this later half of the season spreads itself around the members of the kitchen more than just carmy. he’s the anchor and the focal point, but there’s so much depth to explore the rest of the crew of the beef. i’m excited for next episode and the rest of the season!

First off, hi! I'm Vincent or Vixen! Vi works as well. I'm genderfluid, go by any pronouns, and I'm 18. I write fanfics (Yep. Totally not obvious, Vin. Not obvious in the slightest /s)

I have ADHD and autism, so expect me to prioritize certain fandoms from time to time (I'll still try to do all the requests I can!! It's just easier for me to write something I'm focused on)

I also draw, so I may post some of my work here, maybe even during the fanfics ;) (I won't be drawing the reader's appearance as I aim to make my reader inserts as inclusive as I can, drawing even a base would sorta defeat that purpose)

I don't tend to imagine myself in reader inserts, but my OCs instead. So basically, I have a ton of fandom OCs, some of which get lost to the void....

Dos and Don'ts

Dos

I do amab, afab, and completely neutral reader. These will be included in each fanfic, so no need to request them! Which means you don't have to replace all the wording each time (Unless it's with terms you're more comfortable with), this is something I tend to have to do when reading fanfics myself so I decided it would be nicer to write versions using different anatomy. All readers will have gn pronouns unless I specify otherwise. Some fanfics may have specific pronouns for the story (Like Zen from Mystic Messenger having a bi awakening /j) but (haha butt) most will be gn. Though, Alex (Stardew Valley) will likely have more masc reader fics and Haley (Stardew Valley) will likely have more fem reader fics.

I do smut, fluff, romantic stuff, platonic stuff, etc

I do polyamory! There are certain combos I won't do if involved with each other though, or if generally in the same vicinity of each other if smut. (Examples, I don't do ones with demon brother pairings even if they aren't involved with each other, I feel like even seeing your siblings in situations like that would be an instant turn off like...😭I also don't do Diavolo + Barbatos in the smut pairings or involved with each other even romantically due to Barbatos having known Diavolo when he was a kid, same with Barbatos and Solomon.)

Don'ts

I don't do dead dove, angst (Except hurt/comfort), yandere, CNC, dubcon, watersports, anything to do with excretion in general

I have the right to refuse a request if I'm uncomfortable with it /srs

I have some exceptions to the yandere rule. I'll do slight yandere content as long as it's not full deranged possessive psycho stuff, but my blog doesn't revolve around yandere stuff. And this will mainly just center around characters who already have those tendencies or are far more likely (Genshin harbingers, John Doe, etc.)

I don't do full yanderes, they make me extremely uncomfortable, especially the super controlling and violent ones.

St5 byler theory + final battle prediction

Ok I can’t think properly because now I’m convinced this is how st5 is going to work with byler + mileven:

Edit to og post: reread and said this would take place all through st5. No, this is specifically starting 5x5 except the Will v. Vecna fight—the final battle. The last episode is going to have vecna’s defeat and that episode will probably be 5x7.

it’s raining, mike and El (another edit: sorry but I said at first they’d be cleaning but by 5x5 they should be done) are in an uncomfortable silence, while in hops cabin, because they’re alone. We left off st4 with Mike and El being distant and not talking to each other, and I think there’s going to be building tension and strain until it reaches a breaking point (think of Brenner’s pencil-snapping/dam-breaking metaphor). To try and not be awkward mike decides to thank El for the painting and while thanking her he brings up how she thinks he’s “the heart” of the party and without that he wouldn’t have had the courage to do the love confession. El looks at him confused and is like “what are you talking ab mike I never told Will to paint that for you.” And then it begins: the end of mileven. They’ll go back and forth ab how Will told Mike all that stuff saying it’s El’s words and El is gonna bring up how she doesn’t like how Mike only views her as a superhero and how Mike couldn’t say I love you to her for a year. I think even tho the fight is going to be heated and a screaming match, El is going to calmly say at the end she thinks they should break up. She’s just going to look done with him. However, Mike is going to be so overwhelmed by the realization that Will lied ab the painting and ab what he said that he storms off in the rain. El thinks that Mike is running off because of being so upset by the breakup, but Will lying to him at the Nevada trip is going to hit harder. AND ITS GOING TO PARALLEL THE SCENE OF WILL STORMING OFF ON HIS BIKE IN 3x3 EXCEPT ITS EL TELLING MIKE NOT TO LEAVE!!

Ok sorry I got excited ab that being the perfect parallel.

This would be where my “mike gets vecna’d” theory would start up and my “will chases mike into the ud” theory would begin too. I’ve already posted ab it so check that out if you want to cause this is already super long. Will would chase mike into the ud because he finds out that mike was vecna’d because of his lie (literally the only lie Will has told him throughout the show).

And in my theory I want to tweak a little something because a lot of ppl told me the 20 who kills vecna (told to us by the d&d game foreshadowing) is most likely byler because at the bowling alley their shoes would be 10+10. My og theory was that byler becomes cannon while they’re going towards vecna in the upside while on a perilous journey. However, if my new theory is right, that Mike gets vecna’d because of Will lying ab the painting, then byler is how they can defeat vecna.

omg this sounds like some seriously byler crazy shit but hear me out

I’m still sticking to my “Will saves the day” theory: Will would be the one to ultimately kill vecna. but it’s going to be the power of love and friendship between these two that pushes Will to kill vecna. Because even though 001 thinks that he and will are the same there is a difference: Will is understood by his loved ones and has too much love for those around him to be a cruel or evil person, Henry never had that kind of love and understanding, nor did he ever try to give it.

Oh and I’m just going to say this: Henry is 001 pre-upside down when he’s just a crazy ass psycho. Vecna is a combo of Henry and the mind flayer—half human half monster. Idk why some ppl don’t get that.

Anyways, here’s how I think vecna vs Will could go down:

First off it’s going to be set in wills mind. I can 100% see the final battle being held in wills head considering they have that Voldemort/Harry type connection. While in Will’s mind, Vecna taunts him, brings up his past abuse from lonnie and the bullying he’s gone through for being “different”. *we’ll see flashbacks of Will getting called a f*g and him being bullied* Brings up how Will hates himself for being gay, how he thinks he can’t find love because of being gay. This will make Will let his guard down a bit because even tho it hurts to hear, it’s true. Then, he will try to convince Will they’re not so different from each other by saying nobody understands them because they’re outsiders (Will being gay and Henry being… Henry). He’ll tell Will how he was also different and how his differences led to him being abused. *shows Will how shit he was treated all that time under Brenner’s eye* All the meanwhile Will is trying really fucking hard not to let what he’s hearing get to him, and is even yelling at vecna that he’s wrong- that they’re not alike at all. But Will is going to give up after vecna brings in mike. He will bring up his “unrequited” feelings for Mike, bring up the rain fight, how Mike ignored him and his feelings all that summer and while in Cali. He’ll tell Will that Mike doesn’t care about him. *(possibly) shows mike saying his life started the day Will went missing*.

Wills body is going to start floating, and mike registers will is giving up. idk if I clarified this earlier, but even tho the fight is happening in wills mind, he + mike are still physically in the ud. This is when Mike breaks down and starts scream-ugly crying. Because this would be when Will really dies. As viewers, we even think this is the end-will is dying. But then Mike, while hysterical, tells Will how much he loves him, how he almost went crazy searching for Will in ‘83, and he will (still crying but much more cohesive and not hysterically yelling) tell Will ab the quarry. How he was going to kill himself because he had given up hope in finding Will. Because even though mike has been treating him like shit and has been avoiding him like the plague, he loves and needs Will like no other. THIS is THE love confession. It’s similar to the mileven one because it is high stakes (ik no one wants that), but this one isn’t based off of lies. This confession is raw and have been his feelings since atleast st3. If Will is getting the hand from vecna (idk how else to word it), then he’s heard everything Mike has said. Mikes love confession would destroy all of wills insecurities ab being gay and being different. Mike already makes Will feel normal and not different, but this reaffirmed by him and hearing his love is reciprocated would…idek man Will would explode from happiness lol. And because vecna likes to target people by using their insecurities and using their harmful actions against themselves, vecna automatically weakens. And idk how to end this heroic love battle, so I’ll just throw in the idea in that while off his “mike loves me” high, Will tells vecna he’s completely wrong. Because even though he is different, he likes being different and he accepts that he’s different and is loved despite being different. *we see Joyce being a loving mother, Jonathan being the best and most supportive big brother, all his friends dorking out over d&d, and byler being happy*. Will grabs his shotgun (same one from 1x1) and with vecna weak on the ground and barely breathing, shoots him in the head- left eye specifically (reference to the Hellfire’s d&d game).

Oh and a Smith’s song is 100% going to be playing throughout this whole thing. But it’ll start when mike begins his love confession. You can choose which one is playing lol.

Im finishing this by tweaking how Will almost “dies”. Vecna has never had the intentions of killing him; if he did will would’ve died literally in the first episode. No, vecna isn’t going to do the hand thing, he’s going to get those mind flayer tubes into Will. To make Will like him: half human, half flayer. Will’s already had them on him before—they were stuck to his mouth when jopper found him. So while mike is professing his love, I think Will is listening and with each thing mike says the tubes slowly latch off of him because they don’t have any negative energy to feed on.

IRT last post hard agree BUT I have also literally never heard this said ever outside of the context of posts like this and I am a college first year so all of my classmates are like 18 and on tiktok constantly. I feel like they definitely have her admitted against her will, she's resisting, crying and screaming that she's sorry and she doesn't want to go, definitely after the shitty ex (be it that he left or she killed him or some other third option idk it's up to you 🤷🏼‍♀️)

No one else understands. No one gets her. She's lost and lonely and has seen (and been coerced into doing) terrible things and now she's stuck being poked and prodded by doctors and nurses and psychologists

She finally managed to get discharged and if she didn't kill her ex before, she gets mighty close to it now at the ripe old age of almost 19

She always gets prickly when people throw words around like "crazy" or "insane" because how would they know? How could they understand or even begin to try and understand what she's been through?

Definitely caused severe - but not life threatening - injuries to a girl that called her crazy at a house party and got off with a caution because her parents panicked and posted bail

Develops antisocial behaviours to protect herself, making her outwards appearance cold and a little intimidating so people leave her be and don't try to get too close

Meeting Princess threw her for a loop because that's almost exactly how she used to be and she has this sudden panic that something might happen to her and she needs to put her foot in the door to let her know if she ever needs help, Psycho is there, willing and able

The fight with Rafe probably also brings on a panic attack - something she's not familiar with or hasn't had to deal with in years - and it knocks the wind out of her, leaving her a mess on the garden patio, knees up to her chest, back against the wall of the house

Spending more time with Princess is definitely the right move because the more they hang out, the more mellow she can feel herself become, that good, calming influence slowly rubbing off on her

Ritsu's power is retreated like this because it's recovering, but like most things, Shige keeps his power naturally close to his chest. If Ritsu didn't know his brother, he'd be hard-pressed to even realize he was an esper. But he knows better than anyone just what Shige's power is capable of, and now, after everything that's happened in the last day, he knows what it feels like too.

He’d thought that, once he had powers, all the barriers between him and Shige would go away. Psychic powers had been the root of all their problems! Now that Ritsu has them, the world should be right again.

Shige's aura, when he searches for it, is just – Shige. Understated, but full of hidden strength. Full of hidden depths. Full of hidden intricacies, intricacies that Ritsu still can’t really understand.

Like his brother, it's a creature intimately familiar and completely alien to Ritsu.

Issue with the victim -> survivor -> thriver recovery narrative. Don’t we need to be accepting and hold all these elements at once?

Thriver can come across as the idea of someone who has surpassed being the victim + survivor in all senses of those terms (ie. Literally going through events but in how they feel, interact with the word).

We all know recovery isn’t linear and a lot of us who have been working hard probably relate to a few things which are classed as descriptors within each of the 3 stages.

And even so, even if you do end up entirely in the 3rd category -what happens, happened, to those other parts of you? I’m sure they’d cause a lot less bother but that’s still part of your story, how you got to where you are now. They don’t just disappear, do they?

I guess it’s just another kind of useful but also flawed schema for understanding complex trauma

Tbh the only way I can imagine any of these (generally a lot more complicated and comprehensive) modalities working for people is if multiple, various approaches are used in conjunction in a sort of vaguely psycho-educational, ‘does this explanation feel useful for you, for this’ manner.

Then the issue becomes about the way the client relates to the information?? Does it even matter if the client is relating to only very particular nuggets of information as (an unconscious) way to sustain whatever beliefs, defense mechanisms they inhabit- if they *feel* like something has been useful, something has been achieved??

I guess it’s the therapists job to steer the conversation towards a mutual understanding of whichever theories are being discussed to avoid this? That seems rather prescriptive though. [dr role professional therapist dictating The way to understand]. But at least by that point the client and therapist have some level of connection and it’s not exactly comparable to therapists only working from one or two fixed approaches??

Which brings us onto the other key problem is that not many therapists are very widely experienced and flexible.

Idk what I’m trying to say here. Nothing in particular really. Just v annoying it’s so complicated to even think of ways to figure out how to help yourself / how we (people) should go about helping others
