Shiki is a curious girl who can be described only as “a mad scientist”. She loves experiments, and is motivated by finding new things to hold her attention; if it’s not interesting, she’s not interested.

Rather than being scouted by Producer, she chose him as part of one of her experiments. She sniffed the Producer and his smell convinced her that he was the right one for the experiment. She became an idol for this reason.

It’s implied she uses pheromones to attract fans, and even in idol form, her hair looks messy and uncombed.

In the 11th Magic Hour SP, she revealed that she went to an American university before being an idol, but she got bored of it and returned to Japan.

She attends a Japanese high school and lives on her own but rarely goes back home. She likes tabasco sauce and her forte is chemistry, but she dislikes wasabi and waking up early.

In the tie in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, Shiki is introduced by Kiyora Yanagi. Her sniffing habits show up as early as her first line and her “Nyahaha” laugh appeared soon after.

She seems to be friends with Fumika Sagisawa and Mika Jougasaki, who both also know of her nose. Her smelling often causes her to fall asleep and she highly regards the Producer’s jacket as a source of soothing smells. Shiki got a job as a background character in a Wild West film.

Her Story scenes in THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage hinted that her relationship with her parents are rather distant, with her father being the one closer to her.

Shiki’s father is a scholar in chemistry with a great zeal in research that his daughter shares, he frequently travels all over the world to join research work and spends little time with Shiki. However, Shiki had fond memories of taking photos with him.

As for Shiki’s mother, there is hardly any information on her, as thus far Shiki has refused to talk about her; currently there are many speculations among the fandom about her relationship with Shiki.

In Shiki’s Tsubomi event card in THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage, one of her pre-special training lines in the card hinted that she had a wish that is something about her mother, but she stopped herself without elaborating.

i LOVE greta gerwig for getting men mad and saying things like 'barbie is sexist and anti-men' or that the film is too girly and not interesting enough for men cause i genuinely can't name all the films written by men, directed by men, produced by men, most of the cast members were male (and half of them served jail time) and displayed such disturbing disgusting and abusive narratives (which weren't needed for the plot of the film AT ALL) that i literally got triggered and couldn't even finish the whole thing where as in barbie 'the worst it gets' for men is ken being just ken and not enough for babrie - which ends up getting resolved at the end.

hey so

I've been watching the side order direct and I've noticed that

There are a lot

And I mean a LOT of meat grinders designed around the map

So i was thinking, are oceanic species being grinded up to human paste (again), to make the perfect life? maybe.

BUT what if, this time, it isn't used to make a 'new perfect life' but to resurrect an old one?

We see here that fish bones that, I assume were already dead before, are coated in some kind of black goo/ink that reanimated them.

And we see the swirling debris that look like old possessions (?), that are maybe from the past and time of humans or maybe they are from these dead, grinded up subjects that was used to revive these dead fish bones

We also see multiple machines that make mem cakes and we know from octo expansion that these mem cakes only exist as proof or a memory of a dead blended up test subject and what concerns me is that these are still being produced after agent 8 defeated kamabo co.

So it's not far to say that subjects are being blended up yet again by some unknown force again, cough cough tartar cough cough.

What am I trying to say? Well seeing these meat grinders, mem cake factories, and reanimated fishes, plus the story mode of splatoon 3 has this storyline of brining back mammals, it's safe to assume that side order's storyline is going to be akin to tartar or another new antagonist bringing back extinct humans from the dead by their bones and the experiment to do so has gone highly wrong and agent 8 has to stop them (give my girl a break geez.)

I had forgotten that this omake existed (ep 147), but this has to be the Hitsugaya Special Edition, right? This is the 18-page photo album, with outtakes, no? The timing is wiggly, because this obviously happens at the end of the Advance Team Arc, but the Special Edition was clearly already in the works when Hisagi delivered Ukitake his Post-Ryouka Invasion Special Issue (is any issue of the Bulletin not a special issue?) They couldn't possibly have published two Captain Hitsugaya specials in a row, could they? (It's the Bulletin, they very well could have)

Anyway, I am still obsessed with the idea that this was published sometime during the actual Winter War and Hitsugaya never actually saw it, but for a brief period was, like, the Louis Tomlinson of Soul Society and was entirely unaware of it.

Dialogue with every single person in the club before you meet Persephone makes it a point to note how she's scary, how angry, how everyone's afraid of her.

Once you get through to her, though, she wants to actively help. She jumps to "we" so fast. She actively helped Calliope before they ever became friends, she helped Chastity, she goes out of her way to change things, all the way back to what happened with Hades. She says, "I changed", but as long the story is that she's Hades' wife, the change cannot take, even if she killed him, she couldn't become the Queen.

I think it's the other way round too. Without stories, I don't think Idols can change. And other than the inherent commentary, this has fascinating implications for the future of this world. They're affected by peoples' beliefs (of course, they're gods), they're out in public, and for the first time in so long, they are GOING to change.

dunno how to articulate my thoughts without sounding mean but i'll try my best; it's so exciting when jh tries a new color and it's also exciting when he also seems to be enjoying it, but i think a problem in fandom culture in general is that need to have ownership over your [thing you like], in this case, jh, a real person. like you can be sad that jh is losing or toning down his purple hair because it was a good color and he looks good, but also at the end of the day it's his hair on his head and what he wants to do w his hair is his business only.

i say this because jh said in the latest radio station that he is going to tone down his purple hair in a few days, not because he doesnt like the color, but because his hair grows outward, a common thing that happens with your hair when you are of asian or hispanic descent. he needs down perms to literally "put down" the hair instead of it sticking straight out of his head. and down perms can fuck with the color if it's dyed.

so with this in mind, jh keeps his hair "boring" and black because he would rather his hair not be sticking straight out of his head and he doesnt want to sacrifice more time at the salon for color correction when it can just be his natural color. and thats really valid of him, just as it's valid of any other member or kpop idol to constantly dye their hair. it's his choice just like theirs and fans should respect his choice more.
