I also made a small script but it’s pretty bad- I’m not a professional writer so excuse my spelling mistakes :’)
“Looking for a ride?”
The golden haired cowboy said as he leaned on the fence.
“I don’t no. This is my house.”
The other boy covered in mud replied, looking unimpressed from the blond.
“Really? I beauty like you lives here?”
He turned his head and winked at the boy as his face became red and quickly excuse himself to continue his work at the field…

Welcome, everybody, to
🐢 🍁 TMNTober 2023! 🍁 🐢
An Inktober-inspired month-long event where every day will be assigned a prompt that you can write or draw something for!
🐢 Rules & guidelines: 🐢
All prompts have to be TMNT related, obviously, but they can be of any iteration, including fan made ones.
Post your art and writing on whatever platform you want! If you want it archived here though, post or link it on tumblr and tag this blog!
Tag your art with #tmntober 2023 or #tmntober2023. I will make a point of going through the tag and reblogging as much art as I possibly can to here!
Your art doesn’t have to be done on time and you don’t have to do all prompts. First and foremost, have fun!
Since this month ends with Halloween, I expect some art may involve horror themes, and if so, will be tagged appropriately. This is an appeal especially to writers, as I’m not sure I’ll be able to read every single piece, to tag your works with proper warnings, please.
Every day, there will be a post announcing the current prompt! If you lack inspiration for any particular prompts, I may leave some ideas in the tags :)
🐢 PROMPTS: 🐢
1. Warm-up!
2. Eyes
3. Teeth
4. Bones
5. Act
6. Improvised Weapon
7. Begrudging Alliance
8. What a tragedy!

10. Under-appreciated non-turtles!
11. Glitch

💙💚KilluGon in April 2024! 💙💚
(created by me this year!) (+ a long update)
Hello, everyone. I'm not entirely dead, but I sure feel like I am. Still thinking about KilluGon every day as per usual, but my time to draw and write has been greatly depleted. School gets more difficult the older you get...
Currently, my iPhone6 doesn't have enough data to install Tumblr on my phone anymore. All my Instagram accounts have failed because it's all children on there... stupid western-minded children. My Wattpad got deleted when they got bought by Canada and I didn't feel like having that happen over and over again. My AO3 is fine, sending me emails almost every day of someone liking one of my works (thank you all so much for that). I want to update and add there, but nothing I've written in the past 2-3 years is edited, let alone finished past a paragraph or half a page on GoogleDocs. And most of them deal with my KilluGon Dimensions, in which Series 1 [2018-2023] has concluded and Series 2 [2023~] has begun (yet I still love Series 1 too much to fully let it go... ). My Discord activity is pretty dead, though I wish I could create a KilluGon-only group that could thrive on there.
I'm mainly on Twitter(X) now, participating in Japanese-limited HunterxHunter merch culture. Collecting all those Killuas and Gons is so draining and my Japanese isn't all that good (I'm an English KilluGon fanfic writer after all). Still, for the sake of my boys, I keep moving forward with them by my side. Killua is even on my face every day because I bought the collaboration glasses.
-------
Well, now that all my rambling update is finished, it's time to start KilluGon in April 2024! For people who are new or have forgotten, it's the April equivalent of Inktober, but for KilluGon. As usual, I'm not sure how far I'll be able to get this year, but I made the prompt list myself this time. Randomized the days and randomized the words from two separate online generators. If you too would like to participate in KilluGon in April 2024, please go ahead! If it's anything other than KilluGon, such as you like the prompt list, use it quietly. Even in my year of absence, I haven't changed. KilluGon is life. 💙💚

Thank You
Tumblr media
If you’ll permit me a minute to be cliche: this photo would not have been possible without you. When I started university in August 2019, the sum of all my author-y potential measured up to:
No finished manuscripts
A pipe dream of ever publishing my work
A scatterbrained outline of The Laoche Chronicles
Forty-four phone notes full of half-witted ideas
A grand total of 3 followers on my brand-new tumblr account
At the time, I had no grand plans of marketing my work, though I knew it would be necessary if I ever wanted an audience. I chose a degree in chemical engineering because I knew my baby platform and half finished stories weren’t going to cut it as a career in their current state as an 18-year-old, and I needed to have a day job if I wanted to pursue my end dream of self publishing. I was just hoping to survive my first year of engineering school, pass my weed-out classes, and hopefully make some new friends. That fall semester passed with sporadic progress on my book, and halfhearted attempts at breaking into the writeblr community, until I decided to try my hand at Inktober and made my first few acquaintances: @siarven and @abalonetea, who have both featured on this blog since then. It was also at this point, sometime during a Calculus III lecture, that I invented my pen name:
Tumblr media
All was going well, and I was pleased with my incremental progress until the world ended.
The less said about the pandemic, the better. Writeblr truly kept me sane through working full-time jobs and taking 18 credit hours during the semester. When I was truly close to dropping out of school, I kept going, knowing I had these online friends to cheer me up after brutal exams and long nights of studying. The tag games and community filled the dearth of interaction left by quarantine and an insane schedule. During my summer internship in 2020, I finally had the time to finish the first draft of Storge and the confidence in myself to start a website. Rereading my first post is a surreal experience, in part because I still see myself as a little kid as hiding under the blankets with a flashlight, notebook, and pen, thinking “I wanna write a book!”
Tumblr media
I woke up the next day crying to the sheer volume of kind messages congratulating me on meeting this milestone. Instead of feeling burnt out after reaching such a lofty goal, this gave me all the more energy to keep working. Since then, I’ve been so blessed to grow this community and this website. It’s incredible to see how far I’ve come, now being able to claim:
A finished manuscript of Storge
A 3rd draft of Runaways after going through 2 rounds of Beta Readers
8 short stories and an audio drama
An active mailing list
Over 1000 followers on tumblr, but more importantly, a thriving community of writers who support each other’s releases through ARCs, leaving reviews, enthusiastic questions, and a welcoming space for new writers to share their craft.
140 posts on my website and regular readers who care about my ramblings ❤
Now I’m on my way to my new job – I’ll be doing research and development in my chosen field with a team I really like, and the freedom to listen to books while I’m in the lab. This next month will still be a hiatus for blog posts and new writing as I pack up my life for a cross-states move, but I’m beyond excited to enter change. My hope is that I can start saving for editing costs and devote more time to my craft thanks to a 9-5 schedule and NO!!! HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!! Really, I cannot say enough how thrilled I am to never have to take another exam ever again, thank GOD. With a bit of luck and no small amount of grace, I hope I can publish and share my stories with you sooner rather than later.
Thank you for all the support and camaraderie these past years. In a way, I owe this diploma to you as much as to my classmates and professors. The night before graduation, I said to my friends, “I’ve been waiting for tomorrow for eight years.” Now I’m living in the future, and I can’t wait to write the next chapter.

It’s that time of Whumptober where things become hard. Hard for the writers because there’s a prompt to be filled every freaking day, and for the readers because there’s not only a flurry of new Whumptober fics to wade through every bloody morning, but the same goes for Flufftober, Kinktober, Inktober, Fictober and you-name-it-tober.
Fics that pop up are less refined (wHaT Is eDiTinG?), injuries increasingly ludicrous, and commentators are so exhausted they barely have the strength to punch the Kudos button anymore.
It’s hard.
And, in my case, it’s early afternoon and I haven’t even looked at tomorrow’s prompt yet. In other words: it yet remains to be seen whether a Musketeer will suffer at my hands tomorrow or get away unscathed. (Run, blorbos, run!)
Are you going through the same Mid-something-tober slump that I am? Have you become as cavalier as I have when it comes to writing about the most horrible injuries? How insane exactly are we?😵‍💫🙈

Curriculum for the Solo Writer
Some years ago I came across Radiorunner’s Curriculum for the Solo Artist. Ever since then I have wanted to produce the same thing for creative writing. And here it is, or, at least, the beginning of it. This is a project that is going to take some time to complete.
What will make up the curriculum?
I am going to draw on the following sources:
Youtube videos
Podcasts
Books
Courses
Writing prompts and projects
The idea is to bring together available resources into a curriculum that can be followed. For the most part, the content will be free or low cost. There are some expensive options available and some of them are excellent in terms of what they might offer. However, there are lots of people for whom those are out of reach, and so this list will be aimed at them.
What will the content look like?
Each month will contain a topic and prompts. You can use these together, or simply use the prompts for practicing your craft in some way. In addition, once every quarter a month will be dedicated to creating alone. Because practice is the best teacher. You don’t have to follow this, but its there if you want the structure (and for me).
The Solo Writer’s Year
Quarter 2
April - Camp NaNo May - Mermay Prompts + Learning June - Prompts + Learning
Quarter 1
January - Prompts + Learning February - Flash February March - Music Prompts + Learning
Quarter 4
October - Inktober Prompts + Learning November - NaNoWriMo December - Prompts + Learning
Quarter 3
July - Camp NaNo August - Prompts + Learning September - Prompts + Learning
What content will be provided?
I will host a list of possible materials to study and prompts to practice from. I will attempt to provide content for all fiction writers, though some modules might tend towards certain genres. A rough outline will be:
Ideas and Preparation
Being a Writer
Character
Plot
Worldbuilding
Technical
Revision and Editing
Marketing and Publication
While this will be the general order of things, some elements will be interspersed with one another.
How can I get involved?
I’d like to encourage people to respond to posts on this site, Instagram, Tumblr or Discord with their own responses to the content. I will link these options in the course. Post how you are using it. Post things that might help other writers to get the most from it. Post alternative resources. I am a single writer with a single methodology and and preference for certain genres. The more experiences we can bring together, the more useful this resource will be.
Please feel free to promote this resource if you think it is helpful.
How much will this cost me?
That is up to you. My thinking is that you will get some value from the books included, and at least some of these might be worth buying. I will keep a list of these and the cost of them (at the time of writing). If you want to spend money on the courses, you can. I may or may not purchase them and will make clear which ones I have completed myself. I know some people prefer to learn in this way, so if I come across a course I am confident will have value, I will list it. The videos and books are sufficient for me.
I am not going to make money from this. If I ever charge for content, it will be content I have created. If anyone makes money from this, it should be the people whose content I am suggesting.
How often will you update this content?
For quite some time I will be generating new content, rather than updating old content. If I come across something that stands out, I will update the module at the time. Otherwise, when the curriculum is complete, I will go through and do an update on the whole set. Beyond that, we’ll see.
If you have content you think would fit in well, or know of content that may be useful, please post it under a linked post. That is the first place I will look for updates.
You’ve listed my content and I would like it removed.
Just let me know. I’ll remove it.

Any advice to new FF writers?
Thanks for the ask! :) I'm still learning a lot but here are a few thoughts:
Practice - probably the best advice I got from tumblr is it takes practice to get used to putting words in order (surprisingly challenging at first but definitely gets easier). You don't have to show your writing to anyone, so feel free to write whatever is fun even if it feels cringy to get in the groove of writing.
To go with that, I got a lot of practice doing month-long challenges with a prompt for each day and writing a short scene for it (like inktober but for writing). Or use a prompt list any time, I just find it helpful to have more constraints on my options.
To go with that, Camp NaNoWriMo is in July and you can choose your own word count goal (I will be doing this!).
If you're new to fiction writing in general, some overviews I liked were the NaNoWriMo workbook for middle/high school and the book Writing Magic: Writing Stories that Fly by Gail Carson Levine.
What I've come to understand recently is how reading helps - when I'm editing and notice something not working, like the pacing of a scene, I can read an author I like with that in mind and notice how they're doing it.
All that said, do what's fun - it's okay to keep it casual and just write the occasional fic you're daydreaming about, whether you post it online or not. But if the challenge to get better and better is worth it, go for it!
Good luck with your writing!!

She Is Anew, She is Reclaimed; Conceptualizing The Verdant Frontier
"Recently I had made up my mind to participate in NaNoWriMo."
Of course we (writers I mean) are mostly knowledgeable of what the event means-- hours upon hours of staring at a laptop screen, willing a full novel into existence by hammering our eager fingertips across a keyboard, unless, of course, you're one of those (that I admire deeply) that prefer the pen to the sword. This time spent not including what should be hours of editing and re-editing and weeping openly into a cold cup of coffee as you realize what a ridiculous idea it was to begin with.
All in the span of a single month. Yes. The hopeful author's inktober.
Fast-forward exactly two weeks. It is 6 am on a Monday, (I actually had to look at the date to make sure) I am sitting at my desk at work patiently waiting for 7 am to turn around so I can return home to my cat (he's going to be pissed that he hasn't gotten fed yet). Having just created this Tumblr after being away for the better part of a decade, and my mind is reeling with the at-times overwhelming buzz of characters and story-lines I am itching to actually write.
It hits me.
I will not be finishing anything in time for the conclusion of NaNoWriMo, to ask that of myself when I haven't been consistenly writing is beyond my abilites both innate and honed. Yet in the same vein of thinking? I am entirely grateful to the sudden spur of the moment decision to write something. It is not the project I would have originally picked to work on, but here I am. Planning. Outlining. Staring at the blinking cursor on my screen. I am for once in a thousand moons actually writing again. This is a project that is all mine, and I rely on no co-authors or partners to aid me in the task of world-building or even small details like naming places or people.
A daunting task? Obviously.
Who in their right mind after creating four entire universes would choose to start from scratch a fifth time? Who would voluntarily leave whole worlds on the back-burner for a possibly over-glorified fan fiction with exactly one character from the franchise and paint an entirely new backdrop for him?
Me.
*cue unhinged laughter*
After a month of playing Red Dead Redemption 2 I have been deeply invested in all things cowboys and outlaws, but completely disinterested in the actual history of any real timeline. Boring. I want the wild west to be much more wild, and I want androids and aliens and space travel. I want to drop a reincarnation of Arthur Morgan into the thick of it and spin a different ending (after having my heart ripped out and stomped on). I want to give the characters that haven't had an opportunity to shine in previous projects of mine a complete over-haul.
I want a new frontier, one that has grown over the bones of empires fallen.
The Verdant Frontier
Catchy right?
When conceptualizing the universe I wanted to write in, I knew I wanted to stay true to exactly two themes; overgrown & wild.
Of course there were other elements that I was concerned with but RDR2 had awakened such a thirst for the "Untamed" that I decided to go for the extreme, a method I tend to use in a lot of my world-building.
We all have secret wishes, don't look at me like that.
There's this beautifully bittersweet theme of losing a world that once felt vast and magical i.e the final frontier of America toward the turn of the 20th century. RDR2 is drenched with longing for a piece of the world that remains untouched, a corner of the world to hide in after a lifetime of surviving; a subject that I became very enmeshed with. I felt deeply sympathetic toward those that wanted to simply fade to black when resistance of the suffocating grip of c i v i l i z a t i o n inevitably became futile. Decades of theft from the ones that had lived on this land for lifetimes leading up to Industry on the cusp of taking over completely as capitalism slowly sinks its teeth into the new world. Not to mention the world now is a much more extreme version of this sentiment, I too yearn for the quiet corners of the world where light pollution doesn't exist and the smog of cities is little more than a bad memory.
Its a piercing kind of yearning.
*cracks knuckles*
So of course as many creators before and after me... that means its time to force a cure for such yearning into existence.
Eventually this planet will find its ruin in the same hands that promised accessibility and wealth for all, as climate disaster becomes more and more irreversible. In a way I believe the growth of this idea is a love letter to an Earth that even in its ruin still found a way to progress forward in a quiet, heartbreaking, beautiful way. I suppose there are two deaths that I am not and could never be prepared for.
Arthur Morgan and planet Earth.
A fictional character and the literal planet I live on... ahh, the duality of man.
The very basis of the setting for the Verdant Frontier is a planet that was raped and abandoned by the self-proclaimed "upper-crust" of society. Those dripping in wealth both new and old began their escape from the dying Earth in the year 2100 after space-travel had become readily-possible for more than just organizations like NASA (looking at you b*zos). The event would be called "The Grand Flight" and would mark a time in history. However those without the ability to leave would be left alone to the planet sapped of resources, where weather patterns had turned fatal, and nature itself becoming hostile where once it provided.
I still wonder where exactly I should take said hostile nature. Man-eating plants anyone? Much larger animals perhaps?
Fast-forward exactly one-thousand years to 3100, to be exact year 3115 as our "time of telling". Translation; the time the beginning of the story is told, however this may be debatable depending on who I begin telling the story with. There are six major cities, many townships and villages scattered over the unrecognizable land masses of Earth. Much of what was possible and practicalities in the 1890s of our real history is possible and used during this time, the humans that remained somehow managing to survive after all this time. The buildings, homes, and community centers are quite rustic, a scenery (of course) that would remind one of the facades of the usual fictional frontier imagery.
Population is finally climbing once more among the "Rooted" as they are called, even if life expectancy has been reduced among the denizens of Earth.
However, those that once left often return for a visit. They are called the Unbound and have long since become something beyond human. With life expectancy proving to be beyond 200 years of age, the Unbound have made remarkable advances in health and space-related technology. They have seen the very edges of the cosmos and have traveled further than most species in the far reaches of the macrocosm. Yet still they return to Earth, going so far as to create the first metropolis on Mars known as Marsaven. A neighbor to Earth in all respects.
I imagine for the Unbound its very much like going to Disney World for vacation with family. Similar to Westworld even. Amusement. Only the darker than black quality here is the fact that those on Earth are very real beings. With hopes, dreams, and squishy meat sacks for bodies. Enter moral quandaries here. Earth has become somewhat of a dumping ground for the Unbound, both for criminals ("unrecoverables") and resource-related waste. The more industry that comes to Earth via connections to the Unbound and even alien species beyond them, the more danger follows.
Spacecraft theft, murder, kidnapping, execution, politics, royalty, and COPS. Oh the things I have planned for my Verdant Frontier. So you see, where this may have stemmed from an inkling for a fan fiction and a month of cramming a novel into something readable...
Its become so much more.
Signed,
k.c

Tommy/Alfie Inktober - Day 29
Summary: Day 29 - Injured
==========
“Bloody fuckin’ fuck,” Alfie howls, propped up against the barn’s wall with his face twisted in pain. “Fuckin’ nearly mauled me! You hear, Tom? Mauled.”
“Would you just—”
“Broken in three fuckin’ places. I can feel it.” Alfie points accusingly at the stall door. “Fuckin’ devil in his eyes, mate. Saw it meself.”
“Alfie,” Tommy sighs from where he kneels in front of him. “If you’d let me check, I’ll see if we need to go to A & E, yeah?”
The look Alfie gives him is mutinous, steeped in a hefty dose of feeling betrayed. Tommy recognizes it immediately on account of being on the receiving end of it nightly, courtesy of his year-old son. (He glances over his shoulder to said year-old son, who is still content to gnaw on the key fob he’d been given in a rush to help Alfie).
“No fuckin’ point, is there? They’ll have to cut the whole thing off. Lost my damn leg to a stupid, skittish beast. Christ.”
“Your leg?” Tommy resists rolling his eyes (a mighty feat) and starts on Alfie’s shoelaces.
“S’what I said, innit? Done in by a bloody horse. Of all fuckin’ things. Man of my stature, man in my line a work. And this is it? This is how it ends?”
Tommy pauses, arching his brow. “Done in? Really?”
He won’t dignify the look he receives from Alfie with a response, so he gets back to it. Carefully, Tommy slips the shoe off his foot and pulls off the sock. He’s seen his fair share of barn accidents in his thirty-odd years, and this is decidedly not…that.
“Can you move your toes?”
Alfie sighs, long suffering. “You are a trial to me, Thomas. A trial.”
“Move your fucking toes, eh?”
Alfie somehow—“By the grace of God himself, yeah? Divine intervention, that.”—manages it. As far as Tommy is concerned, all Alfie needs is some ice and paracetamol (maybe a blowjob later for good measure), but he can tell that this insufferable man (who he’s maybe in love with and is accidentally raising a child with) will not go for it.
“Alright, alright,” Tommy concedes. “We’ll go. Charlie, come along. We’re going in the car.”
He abandons Alfie briefly to gather up Charlie and reclaim the keys (covered in an amount of spit only a teething child can produce) before throwing his free arm around Alfie’s back to help him to the drive. The noises coming from Alfie feel a little too dramatic than the situation warrants, and Tommy can’t help but say as much as he struggles to hold onto a squirming child and grown man.
“The bloody cheek of you,” Alfie grumbles. “That’s it. Stop by my solicitor’s office on the way. I’m removin’ you from my will. Out you go, entirely. Not a quid. I’m tryin’ to be reasonable, Thomas, but you’ve pushed me too far. You and those bloody beasts of yours.”
“The hell I fucking will,” Tommy mutters, pulling away from a spit-soaked hand on his ear. “I’ve earned every cent.”
And then some.
==========
Notes: Alfie's been shot at least twice in Tommy's presence and has acted like it's no big deal. But when a horse is involved? All bets are off.
High-key hated this prompt and had no ideas for days. I had to get something down to be able to move on, so this is my very not-serious, not-awesome take. I hope at the very least y'all were amused a bit.

Bait
Another inktober prompt coming your way!  This one again clocks in under 100 words!  Trying to make it down to 50, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Title: Bait Word count: 72.
I can’t figure out what colour eyes to give Lucifer.  It’ll be decided by November.  Anyway, enjoy.
(2019)
Crowley paced in front of Lucifer in Hell.  “This is why I told you not to tell her, Lucifer!” Lucifer cringed.  “I know.”  He groaned.  Lucifer dropped his head in his hands.  “What do we do, Crowley?”  He begged the demon. Crowley’s lips thinned.  “You’re not going to like my idea.” Lucifer’s <red/black> eyes hardened.  “No.  We’re not using them for bait!  I don’t care how many prisoners escaped.”  He snapped.
