Hey all! It's been a while since I've posted, and yet another new fandom probably isn't what some of you were hoping for, but alas. I see a shiny new fandom and I simply must explore it.

So... the Dream SMP was a thing? Is a thing? That I got really, REALLY into. Like, I dropped posting art for a long ass time because it got me into gaming and my already shitty productivity levels absolutely TANKED. My bad.

Anyways, I used the opportunity to practice stylizing people's faces, taking elements of both a character and the person behind the character to make a design that fits my style. I think it went well!

First up, top left to bottom right, we've got: Tubbo, Tommy, Philza, Hannah, Alyssa, and Niki. Then we got some Tommys, and I liked the little-kid-Tommy design I did so much I added Tubbo and made it it's own piece.

Also: I'm hoping to revive this ol' thing a little. Maybe rebrand, try doing some commissions. I'll get back to you on it. Hopefully.

With Love, Alyssa is an original canon divergent story of mine (very much still in the works) where Alyssa leaves before the wars get bad but keeps in touch with her friends via letters. When the letters begin to slow and stop she decides to get to the bottom of things, return to the land she left behind, and finally gets to see what really happened while she was gone.

That sounds so formal “Dear Alyssa” I could probably think of something better. We’re all glad you found a place you like away from the SMP and we’ve all been talking about visiting you soon. George says hi by the way. Since you’ve been gone you probably want to know what’s been changing. Yesterday Skeppy finally arrived from MunchyMC, him and Bad have been harassing everyone for quartz for this new mansion of theirs. Ponk has been going on and on about creating this “Lemon Empire”? I don’t know what he’s taking about but his lemon tree has been growing way faster than a normal tree should. What else, oh! I’m sure you remember Tommy’s discs, well he actually got one back from Dream with the help of Tubbo. It’s funny how passionate they’re all getting about it. This place has grown so much. It’s only been a few months since we found this place and already its looking so alive. I know you said that conflict could easily take away our home but this really is different from before. I’m not gonna try to convince you to come back I’m just saying that with a little time you might be able to see things like we do. This is a new start I know it.

You would not believe these British assholes. “Liberty or death” they’re really gonna go around and paint us as these villains in their Hamilton reenactment. Really, who do they think they are declaring our land is theirs. Dream’s already given them plenty of warnings, tomorrow him, George, Punz, and I are going to show them who they’re messing with. Nothing extreme just a little fire or two. Seriously though if you’re gonna come back I’d say wait a week or two for us to clean this all up. I’m not even joking Wilbur just woke up one day said “I want to make drugs” and then got two kids to do it for him. Alyssa! I hope your doing well! Things have been so hectic around here (its great IwI). They’re going to hold the SMP’s first election, for L’manberg of course. The main candidates were Wilbur and Tommy versus Quackity and George but just completely out of the blue three more people decided they wanted to run. I’m pretty sure the running was closed so I don’t really know how that’s going to work out. Anyway, Fundy is running against his dad with Niki and this creepy guy JSchlatt is running on his own. The debates are always derailed and today there was a break in at the White House. This is going to be so fun to watch. With L’manberg being recognized as its own country Sam, Skeppy, Ant, and I all decided it would be in our best interest to create a faction of our own. We’re calling it the Badlands. Now I know what your thinking but we are a neutral faction, m’kay? We only engage in combat if it is in our best interest. We’d never get involved otherwise. By the way, Ant is another friend of mine from MunchyMC, I don’t think I mentioned him to you much. He’s planning on moving here soon, I honestly think you and him would get along great. He’s not going to be the only new arrival by the way, so many people have just started coming in and I have no clue from where. Things are really changing but none of us have stopped thinking about you!

Oh gosh how do I even start. First of all I’m sorry I’ve barely gotten the chance to write back to you. Let’s just say things have gotten complicated over here. There’s always something or someone making a fuss and I’m the only one I can count on to get things back under control. Call it meddling but I’m really just trying to keep everyone safe. If everyone can just do whatever they want it would be chaos and there are certainly people who just insist on chaos. The server is growing and it’s showing no signs of stopping and that’s great but there needs to be order. I’m sure you understand. L’manberg has a new President, remember that kid Tubbo? The one who was always following Tommy around. They put him in charge of a country. I’m sure the kid is under a lot of pressure so I’ve just been doing whatever I can to lighten the load. And to make sure no one plants any bad ideas in his head.

It’s really been a while, what, I don’t know, a few weeks? I read all your letters, I can tell you’re a bit concerned but everyone’s handling it and at this point I’ve just stopped keeping up. To be honest I only really keep up with the stuff that involves me and like Sapnap. Wait, did I tell you about how I was King? Yeah that really lasted a long time. Tommy burned my house down for literally no reason and got exiled for it. Serves him right I guess. But that was forever ago. Things happen so randomly here. Yesterday me, Karl, Sapnap, and Quackity were building up El Rapids and today I woke up to find a huge crater at my front door. Just all of L’manberg gone, poof, just like that. You’d think that if a country had so many people desperate to protect it it’d actually stand for a year or two. I dunno it’s done with now, don’t even know who did it. I’m sure things are much calmer wherever you are. Anyway I should go find Karl, write again soon.

At first the letters came every week, those weeks quickly became every month, then every few months, until there were no letters at all. Thousands of blocks from the DreamSMP Alyssa lived completely oblivious to the pain and suffering that the citizens of the server had come to know. After months of radio silence and no responses to her many letters expressing concern a single letter appeared at her door. It was clear she couldn’t afford to ignore things any longer. 

As much as she hated conflict she couldn’t stand to leave her friends to continue to face it alone. So, she packed her things, bid her place a final goodbye, and began the long journey back home.

Without any idea as to what she would find.  

[Aaaaand cue dramatic end trailer credits, this was really fun to make, I originally made it a couple of months ago but decided to freshen it up a bit and post it here. I’d love to hear any thoughts on it especially since I’m still relatively new to writing. If your interested in more I’m going to post a full six pages of a comic I made for this very au because brain go brr. I’ll also post any new ideas I have for this story, as of now I’m not sure if it’ll become I thing but I sure hope it will. Okay thanks for reading, byeee]

have you guys considered how none of the original eight members talk anymore and how they all split apart from each other, except for callahan and alyssa, who straight up don't appear anymore, instead staying in the background and in their friends chats instead of hanging out like they used to? the community house was more than the first landmark on the server, it was their house, and dream blowing it up meant so much more than just 'oh no, he's cutting attachments', it was him ending their friend group's bond.
