Eight cosplaying Timothy Dalton's Mr Rochester.
(I'm convinced that Eeyore!8 is based on Rochester, so this all tracks)
8th Doctor Titan comic cover (2015) vs Jane Eyre (1983)

Favorite color: deep emerald green, followed by a kind of blueish lavender.
Last song: The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie by Colter Wall; horror folk kick is going strong.
Currently reading: The Fellowship of the Ring by JRRT; Unfinished Tales by JRRT, ed. by Christopher Tolkien; The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden; Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë; Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson. ...I think that's it?
Last movie: Last movie I intentionally sat down to watch or last movie that was on in my general vicinity? I guess I'll answer both since I'm not sure. I think the last movie I watched on purpose was Crimson Peak (2015) for research because I'm trying to plot out a gothic romance AU fic. And the last movie that was on in my general vicinity was Chopping Mall (1986) because my partner loves off-beat old horror movies. I've seen House on Haunted Hill (1958) more than I've seen any other movie because of this.
Sweet/spicy/savoury: I have a strong sweet tooth (ADHD craves easy dopamine sources) but I do really like savory things too.
Currently working on: the chapter past the current one of Scars of Silver and Gold; a series of non-continuous but interconnected drabbles about Melkor's time imprisoned by the Valar; a Nienna cosplay for a con next month (concern).
No pressure tags: @glorf1ndel, @elithilanor, and any one to whom this looks like fun.

Bringing one of my favorite things back to this timeline. Story time:
Pictured: Miss Persephone (Percy) Parker from the STRANGELY BEAUTIFUL saga. As modeled by her author, yours truly.
I don't tend to cosplay as my characters but Miss Percy is my dearest heart-of-hearts, the cornerstone of my first great love; my debut series, a Gothic, Gaslamp Fantasy saga with ghostly, Jane Eyre-meets-High Fantasy vibes.
Miss Percy is a radiant, shy, beautiful soul who I wanted to show to the world during her debut year, so I sat for a professional photographer and spent an evening letting her out into the world. Yes, she's a reincarnate goddess she doesn't remember being, but her sweet, deeply shy nature and modest, gentle, soft and loving personality make her a character that I remain fiercely protective of. I can't imagine my life without her.
What was heartbreaking to me about the night I spent as my beloved heroine is that even though it was Halloween at a lavish ball, people still started, gasped and avoided me; unsettled by Percy's appearance. Just as it is for her in the book, she is shunned and avoided until she meets her true love and her found family. My heart broke for my beautiful girl. It has meant so much to give her a love story with her very own brooding Gothic hero, a happy ending, and a world full of magic, mystery and ghosts that still resonates with readers. (Thank you!)
Percy would want me to tell all of you that even though this has been a very hard year, she wants you to know you're stronger than your sorrows, you're brave and resilient just for being and she has every hope you'll shine into the new year. She wants you to know that you are loved. She wants you to listen to the spirits and know they want the best for you. Past, present and future. She hopes your heart will be aglow with magic and that you'll share that light with those around you.
Happy Haunting...
(Originally published as The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker and The Darkly Luminous Tale of Persephone Parker, followed by The Perilous Prophecy of Guard and Goddess, the Strangely Beautiful saga has been revised & reprinted by Tor Books / Macmillan as STRANGELY BEAUTIFUL, PERILOUS PROPHECY and MISS VIOLET AND THE GREAT WAR)

Good morning sweetie 😘
Hiiiiii, sweetheart!!😊😊💖💖💖
It's 7:10 pm over here✨
So there was this movie I wanted to watch and I was so excited for it. I watched it last night and I was so bummed.😑 It was disappointing.
But today, I found this🥺🥺🥺✨✨✨
youtube
BANANAS WITH PYJAMAS!!🥺🥺🥺🥺🍌🍌✨✨✨ I saved the playlist with ALL the episodes and I'll be watching every day >:DD✨✨(Which reminds me I've got banana and cherry jello in the fridge😚)
As a kid, I adored shows were the characters seemed to be people cosplaying or puppets/dolls!! Ex: Lazy Town, Shaun The Sheep, Muppet Show, Bananas With Pyjamas, Rolie Polie Olie, Teletubbies (there's one more that my mom can't remember the name of and right now, she's sitting there fully pissed and scrolling through you tube, trying to find it lmaoo)
The reason Scorpio has not proposed yet is not because I'm unattractive, don't listen to those rumours! t's because I'd sit him down to watch Bananas With Pyjamas with me and he's not emotionally ready for that
Also, my mom showed me this
Tumblr media
And told me that when I furrowed my eyebrows as a baby, I would remind her of this😂😂😂
Also, another movie I want to watch very badly is Last Night In Soho. From the summary and the trailer I've got high expectations, so it better not disappoint me like that other movie did last night😭😭🤞🤞🤞 Also, the production company that made Last Night In Soho is the same one that made the movies for Jane Eyre and Pride And Prejudice if I'm not mistaken. And so far, this production company has never disappointed me.
And at some point I want to rewatch all the Mission Impossible movies, because I loved them as a kid, but I have forgotten them by now.
Soooooo
I hope you all had and will keep having a wonderful day, my sweetie pies!!🌹🌹💕🌹💕🌹💕🌹💕💕💕🌹🌹💕🌹💕🌹
Ps. LMAO MY MOM WAS TRYING TO FIND TELETUBBIES THIS ENTIRE TIME AND HER YOU TUBE SEARCHES WHERE HILARIOUSLY DESPERATE

One of my Favourite™ youtubers is Rachel Maksy because she’s fun, quirky, doesn’t take herself too seriously but also gives good and practical advice. Her style ranges from the late 1800s to the 80s with, she’s a huge geek and all that shows in her videos.
This one here captures that perfectly, the characters portrayed include Winnie the Pooh, Bilbo Baggins, Peter Parker, Elisabeth Bennet, and Edna Mode, among many others.

And now Ladies, Gentlemen and everyone of all ages...may we present to you for this one night and probably other nights only since it’s highly encouraged to have this reblogged....Mary Grayson Headcanons Part 3!!!
As per usual, please give this posts a like, a reply and especially reblogs if you like. Any of those is highly appreciated
And now, on with the show XD
- Very little things can make Mary nauseous. If for instance, she watches a horror or war film with heavy amounts of the usual graphic content as per something R rated, she usually brushes it off of it being merely make up and special effects. What does makes her queezy though would be the smells of spoiled milk and sewer leaks.
- While John is the more verbal of the two when warding off troublemakers and con men and just use his acrobatic skills in fisticuffs if need, Mary is surprisingly the more skilled of the brawler of the two if it comes down to it. While neither of them are formally trained in self defense and martial arts, Mary has attended plenty of carnival wrestling matches and talk with a good bunch of said wrestlers to learn a move or few, As such she can pull off Edge Hand chops (a la Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, https://youtu.be/b-TV6rjiG6w), Dropkicks, Sleeper holds, and even a Jumping Tombstone Piledriver (4:12 - 4:16, https://youtu.be/AsdG0HyLHP0)
- Usually Mary doesn’t do cosplay during Halloween nights if the Flying Graysons aren’t performing that night. Often the issue being she has in mind what she wants to dress up as but nearly at the last minute before getting the costume, there’s another option to distract her to the point she gives up on that.
- Whenever all the Graysons have a practice day thus they get up extra early or a day off so they can sleep in, no matter what Mary usually finds herself the last one to awake. Usually if she sleeps long enough, especially on days off, John and/or Dick are the ones to wake her up.
- Her favorites novels include but aren’t limited to Oliver Twist, Frankenstein, Jane Eyre and Animal Farm. As for one certain book though...
- Regarding Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mary actually believes that for all its faults, the Disney version of the film might be better than original Victor Hugo novel. Largely this is due to the portrayal of Romani in said film in comparison to the book; needless to say while a certain word they characters in the film use to describe Romani unfortunately is frequently said, at least the film treats her people with a healthy enough level of respect whereas the book outright  gave them a very bad name even though it was not the intention of said book in the long run.
- Speaking of Disney, when Dick was born, the Graysons were given the three films: the aforementioned Hunchback of Notre Dame but also Dumbo and Peter Pan. For all the faults every film has, nonetheless, they are more or less essentials for movie nights in The Grayson household ever since.
- Perhaps Mary’s greatest feat on the trapeze was a solo act for one night only at Buenos Aires, Argentina when her son was 5 years old. Long story short, both John and Dick caught a bad flu and in spite of ‘show must go on’ mentality they had to sit out on it. Worse, earlier than week while trying to do aid the roustabouts to set up tent, Mary sprained her right ankle and her left kneecap, making bending them not impossible but highly uncomfortable. To top that, it was that year’s Black Pin, meaning no holding back, go all out with the stunts and no safety nets. Needless to say, the stakes were pretty high for all involved yet Mary still volunteered to go that night while John and Dick watch from the audience. To say she put on a great show would be a massive understatement. The crowd’s deafening applause throughout the act only intensified once Mary finished it and the spotlight showed her getting hugs and kisses from her family.
- During her first years on learning the art of the flying trapeze with her then group the Soaring Lloyds, Mary made a friend in the most unconventional sense, a small bird. In particular, it was an Indian Blue Robin who set up its nest on top of her family’s trailer and traveled along with them wherever they went until the time came for it to migrate. She often gave the robin any snacks and nuts she can and often had small conversations with the robin whenever she was lonely. To this day, Mary never forgot about her little robin friend so it made all too much sense for her son’s nickname being ‘Little Robin’.
- While her heart and soul was with John ever since they first met, the closest Mary Lloyd felt to true love prior to that was one temporary roustabout who apparently was honing the skills of such a job while traveling around the globe. That man was billionaire Bruce Wayne.
- She rarely gets nightmares but whenever she does, Mary is a mess of sweat, relentless tossing, turning, sobbing, and just even some yelling in her sleep. John, in spite of himself not wanting to, sleeps through it, leaving Dick being the one to wake her up carefully, hug her tightly to calm her and the one in fetching cookies with milk and a bedtime story they can read together to get the both of them comfortable enough to go back to sleep. It gets better when John does wake up himself in the middle of it and joins in to help.

Tag People You’d Like to Get to Know Better!
Thank you for the tag, my dear @somebirdortheother!
Three Ships: I'll go with not OC characters only for this- Aredhel/Tilion, Nienor/Mablung, and Sigrid/Tauriel. Out here shipping the rarest of rare pairs only, lol
First Ship: uhhh, idk? I definitely had some ships for a thing where the author turned out to be a terf, so I don't think we'll count those. Not sure I remember anything else from the early days? Sesshomaru/Kagome is an old standby though.
Last Song: Rose Colored Boy by Paramore
Last Movie: .... I think the answer is still Crimson Peak (which I watched for gothic romance research). I don't watch movies often. I'm normally listening to music or watching informative content.
Currently Reading: Dracula (Daily), Fellowship of the Ring (for the first time in yearssss), Here and Now and Then by Mike Chen, and Jane Eyre (because I am so slow at reading classics)
Currently Watching: Only Murders in the Building season 1 and 2, whilst working on my Nienna cosplay. The only time I watch new TV is while working on cosplays, lol.
Last Thing I Wrote: A mild crisis of faith for the protagonist of my longfic, where she must decide what to do in a lose/lose situation. I'm a little stressed out on her behalf tbh.
Tagging with no pressure: @fishing4stars, @clumsycopy, and anyone else to whom this looks like fun

Hi There! Welcome in!
I’m Avery, and ever since I graduated college in the middle of the pandemic there’s been a little hole inside me because I no longer have a captive audience of 20-30 people who have to hear my thoughts, opinions, and theories about whatever we’d read or watched that day.
Then some of my friends started posting doctor who essays and sewing tutorials on tumblr (in 2021?? Which is still wild to me because I haven’t been on here since superwholock was like, the only thing on here) and I realized
I could do that
But not with Doctor Who. Ew. No, with all the weird books I read and shit.
I try to read a lot, but probably average 20-25 books a year. I love vintage fashion (not vintage values!) and might rant about corsets sometime. I also cosplay with said sewing tutorials friend and got really into cosplay photography through that. I probably won’t post it here but who knows. I’ll probably mostly post about the books I’ve read and maybe every now and then something I wrote that made my brain go brr.
So uhh here are some of my favorite things so you can feel aptly prepared for the kinda stuff I’ll talk about on here:
Books:
Follow Me To Ground by Sue Rainsford
We Have Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
Howl’s Moving Castle by Diane Wynne Jones
Podcasts:
Dear Hank & John
The Adventure Zone: Balance
The Bright Sessions
Olive Hill
Limetown
TV: & Movies:
“The Haunting of Hill House” (2018)
“Madoka Magica” (2011)
“Twin Peaks” (1990)
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (2015)
“The VVitch” (2015) (and A24 Horror in general)
“Emma” (2020)

My first ever cosplay was of Thursday Next from the Jasper Fforde novels for a high school summer camp event called “Meeting of the Minds”. The idea was that participants would dress up like various characters from fiction and history and LARP an hour-long scene. I wore jeans, a leather jacket I borrowed from a friend, and a pocket-size copy of Jane Eyre that I stuffed into the front pocket over the chest (like you do). No one else had ever heard of my character, and my interlocutors included Che Guevera in a Che Guevara t-shirt and Click ‘n’ Clack from NPR’s Car Talk, complete with the Boston accents.
Anyway, the whole thing was recorded live, and I have a tape of it on VHS that I’ve never actually seen. I keep meaning to go back and watch it because it’s probably hilarious, but I’m also super freaked out by the prospect.
