I am taking victorian gothic literature in school this semester. I recently learned that Jenna is more or less walking in the footsteps of Ann Radcliffe, a writer who was highly influencial in the development of the gothic genre. Ann made more money from one book than her husband (also a writer, but much more niche) made in a year.

When she stopped writing after her final novel "The Italian", people lamented at the loss of her art and spread rumours about what really happened to her. The word was that she went mad and died in her house after being driven off the edge by the disturbing content of The Italian. They decided so because people were rarely seen leaving or entering her house, the drapes were almost always drawn closed, and very little light shone through the windows. She even dismissed most of her servants. Her house was peculiarly dark, and noteably quiet. She left very few records behind, so people didn't have much to go on.

Radcliffe specialist historians, however, pieced together enough evidence to discover a detail-deficient truth. Basically, Ann retired early and enjoyed the rest of her life travelling with her considerable fortune, her dog, and her loyal loving husband. Everything I know about her relationship and remaining years is just #goals to me.

TL;DR: If you still miss Jenna a year after she peaced out from Youtube (same), just know that she is livin her best Ann Radcliffe-esque life with her savings, her dogs, and the guy she loves :)

✨ Life is short but also like terribly and insufferably long. ✨ Ok well Instagram wouldn’t let me post this the first time after writing a wonderful five paragraphs of a caption so here we are second try 🤠 I miss Jenna, it feels like when MCR broke up, it hurts, but you know they did it for their own mental health and you support them but it’s still bittersweet 😔 I hope she’s having a wonderful day. Don’t look at the neck I’m aware it looks weird, but the rest looks wonderful and I’m very happy with how it turned out!
